Day after day, love turns grey
Like the skin of a dying man.
Night after night, we pretend its all right
But I have grown older and
You have grown colder and
Nothing is very much fun any more.
And I can feel one of my turns coming on.
I feel cold as a razor blade,
Tight as a tourniquet,
Dry as a funeral drum.
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.
So ya
Thought ya
Might like to
Go to the show.
To feel that warm thrill of confusion,
That space cadet glow.
I've got some bad news for you sunshine,
Pink isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel
And they sent us along as a surrogate band
We're gonna find out where you fans really stand.
All alone, or in two's,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad bugger's wall.

Run to the bedroom in the suitcase on the left you'll find my favourite axe
Don't look so frightened this is just a passing phase
one of my bad days
Would ya like to watch tv?
or get between the sheets?
or contemplate the silent freeway?
would you like something to eat?
Would you like to learn to fly ?
would ya
would you ike to see me try?
would you like to call the cops?
do you think it's time to stop?
...why are you running away ?
We are all running away.
Ouch.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad bugger's wall.
Unforunately, I have seen this already transpiring..
What is this from? Is it a song?
I love you Verita, for quoting one of my fave albums. It is a CLASSIC, and also one of my favorite movies, too.
That screencap of Pink with the shades in the bus window gave me quite a start though, I have to say.
resurrected wreck
it's from Pink Floyd's -The Wall album, various songs and pics from the movie
about a rockstar -Pink who kind of goes insane ( to explian it incredibly briefly)
Ohh I have the movie! I should watch it=]
I know this has nothing to do with this one entry here ( I get what you're saying) but this Voluptuousity fucking crazy person is making threads on buzznet saying that this is a "hate blog" about HER. And anyone who tells her to stop making the Gerard Way forum into a forum about her, is also a "hater".
That should tell you something about the mindset. Everyone who doesn't agree that she is the leader of some imaginary army is a "hater".
I think you're right on. And I think that girl is an idiot. She was saying that Gerard wasn't a "quire boy". How seriously can you take somebody who is that fucking stupid?
Sorry, I had to tell you this stuff and maybe you'll get a laugh out of it.
Meh.
"quire boy"
Well, at least they taught her to "sound it out." That's good.
Sorry for the stab. But in all seriousness, I appreciate the fact that she's "defending" him in her own way, but there's no need for her to get all crazy on us. Only speaking the truth we know.
FUCK OFF VERITA!!!!!! NONE of this make's any sense you are just babling . You are SCUM. I don't get it when ppl HATE on gerard..... You WILL get your's haha, carma my DEAR!!!
GO VOLUP> # CHEERS!!!

Ah, okay. Thanks :)
To the last anonymous post, there is no need for you to discuss and attack Verita that way. How old are you little girl? Learn to speak in coherent sentences like everyone else
i am OLD ENOUGH to know HATER when I see one. Fuckin loser. JEALOUS is what you all are. Jealous of Gerarda nd of Volup.
BUT WE WILL NOT GIVE U!!
no offense but why would we need to be jealous of volup?
Give me a break. This has absolutely nothing to do with jealousy. Slander isn't appreciated here, no matter who you are for or against. Please refrain from using harmful language. It isn't necessary.
And for the record, what "doesn't make any sense" is an amazing piece of work. And you spelled "carma" incorrectly along with a slew of other words. It makes it difficult to understand what point you're trying to get across with all of your misspellings.
Veritavenom! Stop quoting Pink Floyd lyrics or the mighty right hand of Gerard will come and strike you down! No, even worse! Illiterate teenagers will inundate you with rambling, nonsensical rants that contain such bad grammar and punctuation that your head will explode!
Never tempt the wrath of the mighty MCRMY!!1one11eleven!!
To all you Gerardites out there, that was sarcasm, by the way. If you don't know what that means, try dictionary.com. Also, there's this really neat invention called spellcheck. It keeps you from looking like an idiot. Oh, wait. Too late for that. Sorry.
CARMA?! snort, giggle...Too funny! Hard to be taken serious when you can't spell worth a damn...yet, I doubt you are any more persuasive when speaking rather than writing...just a guess.
You want to use Pink Floyd like that? I've got Paramore to use against you:
I'm not so naive, my sorry eyes can see,
the way you fight shy of almost everything.
And My Chemical Romance:
So go. Go away. Just go. Run away.
But where did you run to? Where did you hide?
Go find another way. Price you pay.
You're putting Paramore up against Pink Floyd?!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
*catches breath, wipes eyes*
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA
Oh, God. Thanks for that. I haven't laughed so hard in ages.
Paramore, really? Oh please.
I guess I should keep in mind that most of these people are coming from buzznet (aka the black hole of the internet). BN and intellect don't exactly mix. They probably think Paramore is "deep."
Paramore and MCR. Honestly, The Wall isn't my favorite Pink Floyd album. It was Roger Waters whining about how his mother and wife ruined his life, and I'd pick Dark Side Of The Moon over The Wall any day.
Oh, and for the record, I despise Buzznet. If you have a problem with Paramore, take it where someone cares about how much you hate Hayley Williams. Hateful opinions are what I'm fighting against.
How many Paramore songs have you heard anyway?
Wow. Who would have thought we'd see the day where Paramore was even in the same breath as Pink Floyd? There is no comparison and there never will be. I don't see the point you're trying to make ...Shadows. I just don't see it.
And since you asked, 2 albums worth-enough to know there's still no comparison, lyrically or musically, to a legendary band.
I haven't commented on this blog before but I have been reading the comments and the back and forths between the two V's and their encounterages. Doesn't it seem like all of you are making such a big deal over nothing? Don't deny that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU are obsessed with Gerard. He's famous so a lot of people are, sometimes I catch myself thinking about him as if I know him also. Is it not this obsession that has caused you all to fight amongst themselves? Some of you are obsessed with defending his character, others are obsessed with hating him, maybe because you believe he has betrayed you, maybe because you're really hating a part of yourselves.
Still denying it? Alright then I invite you all to go bug your local alcoholic, go ask him if he's drinking again and when he doesn't give you a straight answer, argue about it amongst yourselves. Observe his behavior for a couple of weeks, then write up detailed reports on blogs about your conclusions and argue about them again. Oh and I forgot, when your at his house and he gets up to take a piss, be sure to argue about whether he's snorting coke on the side.
See? All of you are obsessed with Gerard. The "fangirls" and the "evil haters" alike. And I urge you all to forget about this, put your CD's into your computers or your earbuds into your ears, listen to the amazing music, and remember that four other talented guys helped make it. Or better yet, listen to some Pink Floyd, which I decided to do after reading these comments the first time.
Pink Floyd and the others from their time were lucky, especially the Beatles who were more famous than MCR and Fall Out Boy combined because there was no internet then. If there was, their lives would've been subject to this discord also.
Since I know I'll get hated on this, of course Pink Floyd and the Beatles weren't from EXACTLY the same time. I just mean't the fact that they're both BC (before computers.)
It always slays me when people "prove" their opinions on you. "You're obsessed and here's why I think that! OK! Now you see why I AM RIGHT AND YOU ARE WRONG."
I have known alcoholics and drug addicts. I'm friends with some of them. You bet your ass I harangue them about quitting. But why would I blog about them? No one would know who I was talking about.
I'm not sure what "war" people are referring to about Voluptuosity either, by the way. As far as I can tell, she made it a point to come here and post, got her friends to come here and post, and from what I understand is now making up threads about me on the Gerard Way forum on buzznet. That's all her thing, I guess, and that's OK by me. If it gets more people to look at what I'm saying, even better. As far as I can tell that's not a war, that's free advertisement.
Don't deny that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU are obsessed with Gerard.
I'll be the first to deny it, because your statement doesn't apply to me. This has nothing to do with obsession. This has everything to do with the well-being of a fellow human being. This has everything to do with making an effort in keeping this band around longer for others to feel the warmth and the encouragement they provide. Don't make a general assumptions when they don't apply to "every single one of us".
The "obsession" you're seeing is one of mutual care. The conversations being held within these blogs are actual conversations, not obsessive accusations. Feelings have been shared and conclusions have been drawn, but that doesn't make me or the next person obsessed with Gerard Way. I'm sorry you have that view point.
Everyday I listen to their music. I sit in a room by myself and dissect every note of this music, of the Beatles' music, of countless other artists, past and present. Pink Floyd? "Wish You Were Here" and "Comfortably Numb" has an astronomical play count. Music is my entire life. This band and one other in particular has changed my perception of this world and my view on life. Because of that, I care deeply about the individuals who make that music, who make those profound statements. It doesn't make me obsessed. It doesn't make me a "fan girl" or a "hater". It makes me a caring individual who can see through faults and see the good in a person. I can see that good in Gerard. I can see that good in the band.
No, these heartfelt blogs from people that span this globe may not have an effect on the outcome of the situation (if there even is one), but it does give us a place to voice our concerns and our beliefs. It gives us a place to not be afraid, to not be forced to take anyone's shit (no pun intended). It's a safe haven. It's a place of peace amongst all of this uncertainty.
Look, to clear things up, I'm not saying Paramore are better than Pink Floyd. If those lyrics were from a Pink Floyd/Queen/insert"legendary"bandhere song, this wouldn't be an issue. The meaning of the line I quoted was the point, and I wasn't saying "zOMG pAraMOre r BETTER then PnK fLyyd!¡!11!!¡"
I haven't seen anyone here say that the band saved their lives. Have you?
I haven't, but maybe she meant "affected/changed for the better/altered" their lives. I don't know. It may be one of those situations where the phrase "MCR saved my life" has been thrown around so lightly that people don't want to say it anymore. They're content with MCR having positively affected their life. And, with that being said, would all of the naysayers be willing to step up and return the favor if the time came? Maybe that's what she was trying to get at.
I was talking about the "fans" who have been on here lately. Sorry
I'm sorry but I have to just say it...It's spelled KARMA, people. not CARMA.
Thank you.
The issue with using song lyrics is that it can be spun around right back on you, because lyrics often are interpreted differently by different people.
Dear person with the word "Farting" in your name,
Of course lyrics are open to interpretation - they are meant to be by their very nature. Unlike your previous attempts, however, I was not trying to use them to argue a point. I felt they conveyed a certain sense of irony and I included them here because I thought the poster of this blog would understand what I was trying to say.
Also, before you get all puffed up, know that my decision to delete my comment as well as my blog had nothing to do with you. It was simply pointed out by people who know and care about me that my signature was all over the things I had written, that these blogs are being monitored and that perhaps I might be putting my job in jeopardy. I would not be the first casualty of this war revolving around the questioning of a certain band member's sanity.
Sincerely,
The person formally known as noncomplaisant.
I'm afraid you're correct in your evalution of this entire fiasco. There will probably be countless "casualties", and that upsets me in and of itself. It is my hope we all come through whatever is going on with this band, with this person, alive (in a metaphorical, possibly literal sense, of course). Good luck!
As soon as I've invested my time, emotion, and money into supporting the music & message of my local alcoholic who then undermines my support and trust by taking on tour with him a band who sings about degrading sex and child abuse, and does all this seemingly without care or a word of explanation to his listeners, I'll get right on it.
In case you missed it, that was sarcasm. The two scenarios are not comparable.
Good point, Resurrected, and well said.
I can't help but laugh at the twisted logic that's displayed in some of these comments. For example: someone points out that Paramore's lyrics aren't quite on par with Pink Floyd's. Therefore, that person "hate(s) Hayley Williams" and is expressing a "hateful opinion." What the fuck? It seems that anything less than adoration for certain bands translates to hatred in the minds of rabid fans.
No wonder people get so upset when some of us insinuate that the Almighty Gerard Way might be less than perfect.

Apparently you don't seem to understand that this site isn't about hating Gerard! Dimwit, it's simply about expressing how and why we feel this way about MCR and Gerard.
We don't hate Gerard or MCR, we just don't condone what he has done and is continously doing.
Let me give you some piece of advice: Simply get off the site if you don't like what is being posted here. It's simple. You are wasting your time!! & this goes for anyone else that is as dimwited as "farting in the shadows" is.
Btw, the song is beautiful and I can completly see why you could relate this to Gerard.
It's terribly sad.
