Almost a year now

Almost a year since these fools broke up and all has been silent. The last thing I heard was that Mikey Way wrote a blog about how it wasn't his fault and that he didn't cheat. And then that his new girlfriend wrote a Tweet about how Mikey went back on drugs and she left him.

Any truth to that?

Everyone in this ex-band is just a big stupid mess.

Recently I got reminded that Lyn Z once said

Funny that I'm totally ok with all things MSI but offended by watching most hip-hop videos. God bless the first amendment.

Uhm yeah. That's not "funny." That's you being a racist.

Good morning to all you lovely bloggers. Hope you’re all fine and dandy.

Hey Miss T, how are you my lovely? I’ve absolutely loved the Dylan Thomas season on the BBC, have you watched it? I recently went down to Laugharne, had a lovely few days there. If you ever get the chance then go visit, it’s blooming lovely there.

Kapunua where are you missus? Hope you and the little man are well. If my memory is correct then it’s his first birthday soon. Please give him a birthday cuddle from his Auntie Welshie.

@ 10:47, it was a blog believed to be written by Gerard Way. I read it from the very first day. Sometimes it was funny, sometimes sad, but mostly bloody bonkers! It was a bit like watching an episode of your favourite soap, addictive it was. Reading the shenanigans that went on had me in stitches and got me through some very dark days. Most of the bloggers drifted away one by one, still not sure why everyone left, maybe it was because they found out Mayo’s real identity and felt they’d been deceived? Maybe they all gathered at another blog? I guess I’ll never know. Still it was a sad day when it ended.

Sun is shining so I shall be pottering in the garden all day.

Very upset but not surprised by the Santa Barbara shootings. Apparently, the perp was one of those PuaHate losers. I knew it was only a matter of time before one of those crazies did something like this.

It's scary being a woman. I've been harassed more times than I can recount here, and I doubt that it has happened to me any more than it has to most other women. I'm over it.

Anonymous said...

The worst part of this tragedy is that it didn't have to happen. It could have been stopped if the mental health professionals who were treating Elliot Rodger and the police who were called on him by his parents had done their jobs.

He was clearly a disturbed young man and had been for most of his life. Four young men and two young women would still be alive today had he been institutionalized or arrested.

The red flags were there. They were posted all over the internet.

It was the second time in recent months that Rodger's mother tried to intervene. In April, she had called one of her son's counselors after seeing bizarre videos he had posted on YouTube, though not the disturbing one he posted shortly before the killings, Astaire said. The counselor called a mental health service, which then called police.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies who showed up at Rodger's doorstep to check on his mental health, however, weren't aware of any videos, the department's spokeswoman Kelly Hoover said. They concluded after their visit that the well-mannered if shy young man posed no risk.

"Once again, we are grieving over deaths and devastation caused by a young man who was sending up red flags for danger that failed to produce intervention in time to avert tragedy," Fuller said in a statement.

"In this case, the red flags were so big the killer's parents had called police ... and yet the system failed," she said.

This tragedy should have been stopped.

The system grossly failed him, his family and mostly his victims and their families.

Elliot Rodger had been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism characterised by difficulty in social interaction and nonverbal communication.

He was living in the Independent Living Institute in Santa Barbara, a facility that offers "living skills instruction to help adults with disabilities to live more independently in their communities," according to the website.

Three of his room-mates are believed to be among the dead

Shifman added: "My clients' mission in life will be to try and prevent any such tragedies from ever happening again.

"This country, this world needs to address mental illness and the ramifications from not recognising these illnesses."

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/broken-father-virgin-killer-elliot-rodger-speaks-out-1449984

Anonymous said...

Asperger Syndrome is not a mental illness, and the article that makes it seem so is an example of extremely poor journalism. While Asperger's does affect one's abilities to socialize, it rarely manifests as violence. Kids who have been diagnosed with this disorder have a hard enough time fitting in without the stigma of people thinking they will become violent.

He could have gotten the knives he used to kill his first three victims anywhere. He got the BMW he used to run over 12 people from his parents. I don't know how or where a kid with asperger's and mental illness got guns. He planned to kill his little brother and his stepmother too by stabbing her in the neck.

“He will become a popular kid who gets all the girls,” he said, The Telegraph reported. “Girls will love him. He will become one of my enemies. That was the day that I decided I would have to kill him on the Day of Retribution. I will not allow the boy to surpass me at everything, to live the life I’ve always wanted.”
“What if father is in the house to stop me? Would I have to kill him too?” he wrote,

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/may/27/elliot-rodger-planned-murder-family-day-rampage/#ixzz33QR6ahSK

The awkward 22-year-old was obsessed with exacting "retribution" for what he experienced as a lifetime of social and sexual isolation, and had planned meticulously to target as many people as possible, according to a manifesto he left behind and a YouTube video since removed. But here again, he was denied access to those he felt should worship him.
As authorities reconstructed the events, they would conclude that Rodger had fatally stabbed three victims in his apartment, shot and killed three others at random, and injured 13 more either with gunshots or a car that he used as a battering ram against bicyclists and skateboarders.

I read that too Anon. He was jealous that his stepbrother was living the life he wanted so he was gonna kill him. What a bastard. He blamed everyone else for not having any luck with girls, but finding out what he was like, I'm not surprised they wanted nothing to do with him.

Reports of racist and xenophobic slurs against players and fans have continued to emerge during the World Cup. Two fans were arrested last weekend after chanting racist remarks during the match featuring Argentina vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina.

In an attempt to combat hate speech during the tournament, FIFA and Brazilian authorities initiated an anti-racism campaign using the hashtag #SayNoToRacism. Hate speech is taken seriously in Brazil, where racist or religiously intolerant speech or actions are prohibited by law and carry penalties including imprisonment.

Football's world governing body Fifa has started disciplinary proceedings against Mexico after alleged homophobic chants by their fans during their World Cup match against Cameroon last Friday.

In a statement, Fifa said the inquiry was launched after what they called "improper conduct" by Mexican fans.

Fifa sources told the BBC they are also looking into alleged discrimination by fans from Brazil, Russia and Croatia.

President Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, according to a plurality of voters in a new poll published Wednesday.

The Quinnipiac University survey found 33% of American voters named Obama as the worst while 28% named his predecessor, George W. Bush.

"Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said in a statement.

Richard Nixon, whose presidency ended in scandal, received only 13% of the vote and Jimmy Carter scored 8%. None of the remaining eight presidents received more than 3%.

While we were at the coast (we stayed in a lovely B&B, the couple running it were so friendly and kept making us cups of tea), there was a murder a few doors down. It's been on our news loads. Apparently, the man they are after, they we re already chasing cos he'd done a serious sexual assault in Sheffield on July 13th. His name is John Heald and there's a huge manhunt for him. He stabbed the landlady of the Morayland guesthouse in the chest, no-one knows why at the mo. I hope they catch him soon. He's from Rotherham which is the next town on from Sheffield, and he's been seen back in the area.
