A funny pic for you guys.....

This is one for all of you who turned me on to Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

(It got cut off but it says "Every guy who is tired of hearing how cute and wonderful jgl is".)

I thought this was relevant to this blog's interests because "turning racist" (really misogynist) and/or getting involved with a racist band was obviously such a huge turning point, and was part of what created this blog and drawing everyone here. I also thought it was really funny.

But thank you JGL fans. For introducing me to a little movie called Brick. It was a masterpiece. I just watched Stop Loss recently and he was really good in that too.

Happy new year (sorry it's late) and I hope everyone is having a great year!

I wonder if Lindsey is proud of her batshit husband for hating on 16 year olds and using sexist slurs with no shame?

Anonymous said...

She should since she is oh so feminist~

Anonymous said...

Lindsey is about as feminist as Frankie Boyle.

Anonymous said...

I CANNOT believe I used to admire that guy.

Anonymous said...

He sure had everyone fooled.

Anonymous said...

He doesn't deserve to be admired at all.

Anonymous said...

I love that he changed his bio to that offensive edgy bullshit at the same time as he claimed to be thinking of the people of Japan. Not that it makes him look totally self-absorbed and fishing for attention, or anything.

I wish he'd just get into fucking rehab already and sort his shit out. He has a daughter to think about now. It's not just about him and his abused liver anymore.

Anonymous said...

A few things:

First, it's terrible what's happened in Japan, and my thoughts go out to everyone caught up in this. I'm wishing and hoping for everyone now stranded or trapped to stay safe, and hope they make it through.

Second, there is someone commenting saying they'd like 'proof' that Lindsey, Gerard & Co are racist, sexist etc. My advice would be, go back and read through the many entries on this blog. We've been talking about these things, providing links, quotes and evidence for a long time. A really long time. Not all the charges apply to all parties of the MCR/MSI gang, but there's enough to be concerned about.

I'll break it down for you, as I see it, given that I have a free five minutes.

MSI, and all their members, have no problem using and defending the use of racial slurs (see MSI's web forum where they react to this charge, and Lindsey's interview with a webzine where she defended the racist lyrics). They also promote violence against women, rape, molestation and child abuse in their songs (Clarissa, Panty Shot etc)

Frank uses racial and violent sexist slurs on his twitter and defends using them (aka 'twiggagate', 'your mother should have used a coathanger' etc).

Ray makes sexist comments on his twitter, such as 'women shouldn't be allowed to use public toilets to do a number two'.

Gerard calls a young girl a cunts over his Party Poison twitter. It was unprovoked and deleted hours later, although his bio change yesterday shows he's still proud of it.

Jessicka Addams rants about feminist and sexism, yet she defends Lindsey as someone who 'doesn't deserve fan hate' in a tweet to a fan who made a misguided lesbian joke towards them. Point is: Lindsey helps spread hate-speech in her band, so she can't expect people not to hate her back. She hides it behind the guise of 'art' and 'satire', but I have yet to hear a convincing argument why a white person can use racial slurs 'for lolz'.

Basically, if you feel the need to defend these people, then you need to provide me with a decent argument why nothing above should concern me. No one yet has. It's our right to be offended by these things and discuss them. It's our right to react to racism and sexism. End.

I have a great deal of respect for you, Kapunta. I could not have put it better myself. Gerard is a sad, sick little man who needs to sit himself down and think about his words and actions. I wonder if he'd be quite so 'unafraid' to call a black person a 'n*gger'? The only difference here is a protected characteristic: gender rather than race.

Gerard Way can't go away soon enough.

Anonymous said...

Kapuna and her crow. Just so cool.

Anonymous said...

I think Gerard only mentioned Japan because everyone else was doing it. He was probably trying to look concerned. But we all know he was really thinking about finding a reason to hate on a child. Big man!

Anonymous said...

Who else thinks his new profile picture makes him look like the moron he is? You are not gangsta, Gerard. Stop trying to be hard.

Anonymous said...

I think his words and behaviour make him look like the moron he is. He doesn't need a dumb posed picture to do that.

Anonymous said...

I bet it all comes natrual to him.

Anonymous said...

What is the big deal about Gerard using the word cunt? Grown-ups curse. How is that different than calling someone a dick or a prick?

I think it's hot when hot guys use dirty language. Get over it.

Anonymous said...

Sexist idiot.

Anonymous said...

It's sexist to say "Dick is okay" but "Cunt is not okay". You are sexist on this blog.

Anonymous said...

The connotation is different. Using the word dick or prick is similar in intent to using the word bitch. The c word's is an abusive term.

Anonymous said...

You MCR fangirls are ridiculous. If the c word was the same why is it censored in publications?

Anonymous said...

You want to be called a c and see no problem with it? Well I respect myself and I don't.

Anonymous said...

Sexist slurs like 'prick' don't have quite the same effect when women use them towards men, because men dominate women in society. Think of it in the same way as 'cracker' being less offensive than the N word. One is used by the dominator to further dominate, the other is not.

Anonymous said...

Even men know that to use call another man a c is one of the worst things you can call them.

Anonymous said...

That's because it's loaded with the meaning that having/being a vagina is a terrible, weak, disgusting thing. It's a slur based on sexist beliefs.

Anonymous said...

That's right. It's a word meant to vilify, to suggest that being "dickless" makes you weak, dirty and disgusting, that you are somewhat second class.

Anonymous said...

Saint Gerard also changed his background pic to Ridley Scott on the set of Alien. He really relates to Ridley, because he sees a little of himself in the director and his dedication to his artistic vision.

It's a shame that Ridley has more talent, class and artistic vision in the turds that come out of his ass than Gerard will ever have in his lifetime.

Anonymous said...

Prick or dick does not have the same connotation, and these mcr fangirls can argue this point till they are blue in the face.

And it has nothing to do with double standards.

I wish these girls would stop accepting this term and putting their own sex down.

Anonymous said...

And last time I checked, Ridley Scott didn't need to go around calling teenage girls the C word to make his mark. He makes brilliant films with strong, often leading female characters.

Anonymous said...

Ridley is a class act and makes me proud to be British. Gerard is little more than a self-promoting troll with issues who got lucky because Ray can write decent songs. I can't wait for him to OD on his own ego and get a reality check.

Anonymous said...

Gerard is an idiot. He directs a couple of lame videos that feature his own over the top bad performances and he thinks he's a director now? Fuck him.

Anonymous said...

Explain to me how the others are any better when they are supporting his bullshit?

Anonymous said...

They're not. They're enablers, and they have been for years.

Anonymous said...

So last week in Washington, where a retrospective of his films was shown at the Kennedy Center by the American Film Institute, Ridley Scott willingly accepted the characterization of himself as a feminist. "I guess I must be," he said as though he'd never considered the question before. "A lot of men have a problem with strong women. I never have."

More of a man and an artist than Gerard will ever be.

Anonymous said...

Exactly, and before you continue to rip strips off Gerard, and may I add understandably as he is acting like a complete idiot, point the fingers at the others too, as they are complicit as well.

Anonymous said...

Yes, but Gerard is an adult (apparently) and needs to accept responsibility for his own actions and words.

Anonymous said...

Yes he does, but they are supporting and obviously approve of his idiocy and how he represents the rest of them.

Anonymous said...

They drank the kool aid.

Anonymous said...

It's so clear that their past still haunt all of them.

Anonymous said...

I think we realized what all of the members of MCR were when they all posted various misogynistic views on twitter. Gerard gets most of the attention, both positive and negative, simply because he's the frontman.

They're all a bunch of assholes. Like attracts like.

Anonymous said...

Do you think they behave anyway differently than most guys from NJ?

Anonymous said...

It doesn't matter how much money they have and what they do, they'll always be those guys from Jersey.

Anonymous said...

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz

Anonymous said...

I don't think you can generalize about 'most guys' from NJ. To say that MCR are like most guys from NJ would be to say that most guys from NJ are assholes. I'd like to think that there are some nice guys in NJ as well as everywhere else.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure there are really smart, nice guys from NJ. They're just not those guys.

RIGHT? What did I tell you? Now you won't be able to sleep.

But seriously, I actually couldn't sleep the night that I saw it, and even a few weeks after I saw it it kept waking me up in the middle of the night.

Umm let's see. Manic was really good. The Lookout was all right, Stop Loss also good, 500 Days of Summer also good.

Brick blows everything away. And Looper is going to make the rest of this year's movies look ridiculous. ^_^

Ikr? It disturbed me for days. JGL was brilliant, but I don't ever want to see it again.

Umm let's see. Manic was really good. The Lookout was all right, Stop Loss also good, 500 Days of Summer also good.

I really enjoyed Manic. Don Cheadle is made of win, and I thought JGL's performance was very understated and realistic. He could have gone for over-the-top, which would have ruined it for me, but he didn't.

The same goes for The Lookout. Stupid movie, but a solid performance from him made it worth watching.

I loved 500 Days, and Stop Loss was decent. But Brick was sublime. I think you'll really like it, 3:43. :)

Anonymous said...

Since we're talking about movies, has anybody seen The Reckoning? I just got it today from netflix and I'm watching it tomorrow. Paul Bettany and Tom Hardy -- much eye candy to be enjoyed (and they're both great actors) but it got a 40 on Rotten Tomatoes so I'm a little leery.

Anyways, I watched Let Me In tonight and it was better than I expected. It wasn't as good as the original (Let the Right One In), but I was still pleasantly surprised. Any fans of the book and/or movie(s) here?

Brick is a great movie. I loved the whole film noir aspect of it. I haven't seen Manic but I think I will watch it after The Reckoning.

Personally, I loved JGL in Inception. He was badass. So was Tom Hardy. Leo wasn't too shabby either. ^_^

Anonymous said...

I loved Let the Right One In! I didn't see Let Me In, because ugh, Chloe Moretz just seemed so wrong for the part of Eli (Abby?), even though I liked her in Kick Ass. The little boy who played Oskar's character seemed all wrong too. I just couldn't see the point in remaking it.

Anonymous said...

I just couldn't see the point in remaking it.

I felt the same. Although I think had I not seen the original I would have enjoyed the remake more. The pacing was off a little, and it wasn't as sweet as the original. It was still a decent film though. I know a lot of people who didn't see the original because they don't like subtitles (lame, I know) so I guess that's why they felt it needed to be remade. :/

Gerard Way has revealed there are “no rules” when it comes to making music promos.

The 33-year-old is lead vocalist in American rock band My Chemical Romance, which also comprises guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero and bassist Mikey Way.

The singer admits that My Chemical Romance’s record label were unaware they were shooting the video for Na Na Na - which won Best Video at this year’s NME Awards – because they asked for such a small amount of money.

“Na Na Na was a video that we made in the desert, no rules, nobody telling us what to do. We asked for real little money and did whatever we wanted,” he explained.

The rocker said that nobody was “pulling the strings” during the process of making the video. He says that the band members were the ones with the ideas. Gerard has revealed that he concealed the video as a “trailer” which is why the label handed over such a small amount of money.

“That never happens anyway, but there was definitely no-one watching us. The record label didn’t know what was going on, they knew some s**t about this muscle car and some s**t about rayguns and this corporation, but they had no idea what it was really about. I said ‘give us a little money to make this trailer,’” he added.

http://www.musicrooms.net/rock/28654-gerard-way-hates-rules.html

Anonymous said...

What utter bullshit. He was bragging in another interview that the guns cost three grand a piece. Also, I find it hard to believe the label wouldn't have known about Coleen Atwood's involvement or her pricetag. Given her Hollywood status, I bet her invoice wasn't too small for the work she put in.

He really needs to write down his stories when he tells them the first time and stick to them, because I don't know if his coke-damaged brain can keep track of them on its own anymore.

Anonymous said...

I am totally with you on this 4.46.

Gerard has revealed that he concealed the video as a “trailer” which is why the label handed over such a small amount of money.

The first single was never going to be Na Na Na until the trailer for the album using that song received the positive reaction it did. That is when they decided to release Na Na Na as a single. They went back into the desert at a later date to record the full video for Na Na Na. This was all after the trailer. GW has stated this in earlier interviews. Has he forgotten?

He really needs to write down his stories when he tells them the first time and stick to them, because I don't know if his coke-damaged brain can keep track of them on its own anymore.

Exactly.

Anonymous said...

YES. He or Ray even made a tweet after the trailer (I think two weeks later) asking people 'if you wanted to see more of the trailer, what would you want to see?'. Then that weekend they went back into the desert to film the video.

He really is a fucking idiot.

Anonymous said...

He can't be expected to remember everything he's said in the past.

It's not like he's saying his first girlfriend was named Gweniviere, he stared in zombie and vampire movies, is a med school student or brain surgeon or claims the black hole sun video as one of his personal dreams.

Cut him some slack.

Anonymous said...

...What?

He's outright lied. This isn't just failing to remember some minor details. He was bragging about how much money they lavished on his 'vision' when he was promoting the videos, citing figures of $3000 a piece for the guns and $2000 a piece for their jackets. Now he's contradicting himself saying it cost 'very little' and they lied to Warner about where the money was going. Let me tell you something. Gerard Way might think he is some powerful player in the music business who can borrow money from executives without them having any control over or knowledge regarding how he spends it, but he isn't. He's crazy and deluded, and probably drunk again.

kapunua said...

I saw The Reckoning! Umm. It was not my kinda thing but there were some interesting parts to it, and I did like the ending. That's all I'm gonna say about that. :)

I really enjoyed Manic. Don Cheadle is made of win, and I thought JGL's performance was very understated and realistic. He could have gone for over-the-top, which would have ruined it for me, but he didn't.

Yup, this could have been a really cliche "movie of the week" sort of thing, but the performances spared it. It ended up being really interesting and delicately done. However, I have to say that I rolled my eyes at all the "MOSHING WILL SAVE UR SOUL" parts. ;)

The same goes for The Lookout. Stupid movie, but a solid performance from him made it worth watching.

Exactly. An actor can save an otherwise "meh" movie for me. Christopher Walken does it all the time. ^_^

Anonymous said...

Cut Gerard some slack when he can't even keep his story straight about where he was when he supposedly saw the towers fall on 9/11? First it was on a train, then it was a ferry. Then it was a train again (because he forgot it was a ferry), but he was leaning on the "railing" (because, you know, trains have railings, lol) when the bodies were raining from the sky.

*rolls eyes*

He's an idiot.

And FYI, the court documents specify that MCR was formed by Matt, Gerard and Ray 'on of before 1st September 2001'. They were a formed unit BEFORE 9/11. Gerard says in LOTMS that AFTER 9/11 he called Otter to invite him to formally start a band. He lied.

Tide of 1,000 bodies overwhelms quake-hit JapanBy JAY ALABASTER and TODD PITMAN, Associated Press – 1 hr 30 mins ago

TAKAJO, Japan – A tide of bodies washed up along Japan's coastline, crematoriums were overwhelmed and rescue workers ran out of body bags as the nation faced the grim reality of its mounting humanitarian, economic and nuclear crisis Monday after a calamitous tsunami.

Millions of people were facing a fourth night without water, food or heating in near-freezing temperatures in the devastated northeast. Meanwhile, a third reactor at a nuclear power plant lost its cooling capacity, raising fears of a meltdown, while the stock market plunged over the likelihood of huge losses by Japanese industries including big names such as Toyota and Honda.

A Japanese police official said 1,000 washed up bodies were found scattered Monday across the coastline of Miyagi prefecture. The official declined to be named, citing department policy.
The discovery raised the official death toll to about 2,800 but the Miyagi police chief has said that more than 10,000 people are estimated to have died in his province alone, which has a population of 2.3 million.
In one town in a neighboring prefecture, the crematorium was unable to handle the crush of bodies being brought in for funerals.

Anonymous said...

"People are surviving on little food and water. Things are simply not coming," said Hajime Sato, a government official in Iwate prefecture, one of the three hardest hit.
He said authorities were receiving just 10 percent of the food and other supplies they need. Body bags and coffins were running so short that the government may turn to foreign funeral homes for help, he said.

Add the threat of 3 nuclear reactor meltdowns to all of that and the radiation that's already leaked and sickened 160+ people.

Heartbreaking.

By ERIC TALMADGE and SHINO YUASA, Associated Press – 47 mins ago

SOMA, Japan – The second hydrogen explosion in three days rocked a Japanese nuclear plant Monday, devastating the structure housing one reactor and injuring 11 workers. Water levels dropped precipitously at another reactor, completely exposing the fuel rods and raising the threat of a meltdown.

The morning explosion in Unit 3 of the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant was felt 25 miles (40 kilometers away), but the plant's operator said the radiation levels at the affected reactor were still within legal limits. Hours later, officials reported that the fuel rods at another reactor, Unit 2, were fully exposed, at least temporarily.

Authorities began pouring sea water into that unit to re-cover the rods -- as they are at the plant's two other troubled reactors after cooling system failures in the wake of Friday's massive earthquake and tsunami, which killed at least 10,000 people. The latest explosion triggered an order for hundreds of people to stay indoors, said Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano.

Operators knew the sea water flooding at Unit 3 would cause a pressure buildup in the reactor containment vessel -- and potentially lead to an explosion -- but felt they had no choice if they wanted to avoid a complete meltdown. In the end, the hydrogen in the released steam mixed with oxygen in the atmosphere and set off the blast.
The inner containment shell surrounding the Unit 3 reactor was intact, Edano said, allaying some fears of the risk to the environment and public. But the outer building around the reactor appeared to have been devastated, with only a skeletal frame remaining.
Tokyo Electric Power Co., which operates the plant, said radiation levels at Unit 3 were well under the levels where a nuclear operator must file a report to the government.

A similar explosion occurred Saturday at the plant's Unit 1, injuring four workers, causing mass evacuations and destroying much of the outer building.
Shortly after Monday's explosion, Tokyo Electric warned it had lost the ability to cool Unit 2. Hours later, an indicator showed water briefly fell to the bottom of fuel rods, fully exposing them, according to a spokeswoman for the company, Takako Kitajima.

She said officials believe water levels have since recovered slightly as they continue to inject sea water into the reactor.

More than 180,000 people have evacuated the area in recent days, and up to 160 may have been exposed to radiation — pouring misery onto those already devastated by the twin disasters.

Hey did you guys know that Steve Jobs killed music? Jon Bon Jovi said so.

LMAO.

Hocking said...

as a music industry/broadcast engineering major i can see that

Anonymous said...

I don't think Steve Jobs is responsible for the decline in record sales. Illegal downloading is. Places like Amazon and iTunes are actually doing a lot to keep people buying music in the current climate because consumers can get it fast without having to search for a place to download it for free. Plus, they can buy one song they like and not have to feel that they wasted money on albums that contain a lot of filler.

To place the blame squarely on Steve Jobs is ridiculous.

Also, there is an argument to be made that although the music "business" may be floundering somewhat, music in general is thriving. There is so much out there and it's all at your fingertips. I know I listen to a lot more music (and a lot more different kinds of music) now than I did ten years ago, thanks to the internet.

The pictures, I mean.

The picture that upset me most was the one with the photograph of the two small children. Such beautiful smiling faces.

Steve Jobs is the man.

I don't think I really felt the impact of what is going on in Japan until I saw the pictures with children. And the one of the photograph lying in the mud -- Oh.My.God. I can't even.

Kapunua my 18 yr old cousin is going to University in September to study Physics. He worships Brian Cox and would love to follow in his footsteps. From what my cousin tells me there's a huge interest in Physics at his school and a lot of it is down to Brian Cox and his brilliant tv series.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the last two episodes and that's coming from someone who knows absolutely nothing about Physics. He's so passionate about the subject. I've actually got one of his books on my coffee table; Wonders of the Solar System. Don't know if I'll actually understand any of it but the pictures are fantastic!!
I recommend page 160, Brian Cox, face partially covered by floppy fringe, red shirt and gas mask:)

Oh there's pictures of planets and whatnot too if you're at all interested like. You don't have to be a sad case like me flicking through the book looking for that floppy fringe:)

Anonymous said...

haha I can't stand Brian Cox! XD

Welshie said...

Um 'scuse me, just thought, you do know what a floppy fringe is in the US don't you?
Let me clarify, a fringe = 'bangs', I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Don't want any of you thinking I'm some sort of perv drooling over floppy wotsits:)

Anonymous said...

I cannot shake D-Ream's 'Things Can Only Get Better' from my head long enough to take Brian Cox seriously.

Welshie said...

What, what, what anon!
You don't like Brian Cox?
Do you not like his gentle Mancunian accent? No?
Can't say I'm fond of D-Ream either anon, so I guess you have a point. hahaha.

Never mind, each to their own I guess.

kapunua said...

Welshie, your cousin is SO lucky! Wish I had the mind to study physics. I only can read about it in laymen's terms and drawings. ^_^ But I love it so much.

Anon, why do you hate Brian Cox? He's smart. ^_^

Oh, anyone who likes HutRECord? For this month, they are selling the little red HitRECord button for donations. $5 gets you two buttons. You usually only get these buttons when you order something, but for a donation to Japan Relief, you can buy them, for a limited time. I think it's cool because the button looks like Japan's flag, right? :D

Anonymous said...

I don't hate him! In fact, I think he's very entertaining. I just can't take him seriously as a Scientist, because of that song!

Hocking said...

fringe is indeed bangs..

Welshie said...

I've just come back from my cousin's house. He had a physics exam today. Something to do with conductors. It went ok I think. He wants to study Theoretical Physics Kapunua. I gather that's something to do with maths?

Welshie said...

Thanks Hocking:)
May I ask are you a Brit?

Welshie said...

Ok, ok, don't laugh right but I always thought bangs meant bangers/bazookas/boobs. It's all Gok's fault see. He's always telling the laydees to be proud of their bodies and to "get them bangers out".

Hocking said...

No, my roommate's a british foreign exchange student

Anonymous said...

No thanks. I would rather pay $10-50 for one of Frank Iero's pictures of tokyo that I can hang on my wall or put on my coffee table than $5 for a button I'll toss in a drawer and never wear. even if it isfor charity.
Mighty nice of JGL though. As nice of him as it of MCR to do what their doing.

Anonymous said...

I don't think you're going to turn this into a competition about who is doing the most for Japan, 5:45, even though I'm sure that's what you are trying for.

I'm glad that you are going to buy one of Frank's photos if the money is going to help.

I still think he takes crappy photos though.

Anonymous said...

I thought it was all about helping, not what you get in return. That's rather selfish of you 5:45.

Anonymous said...

Seriously you guys? Seriously?

Can we just not go there?

kapunua said...

Of course they're going to go there. It's all they've got.

kapunua said...

Inspiring words from JGL. Remixed by HitRECorder Matt Conley, with my animation at the end there. ^_^

I'm so happy to be a part of this. Yes, I bought my two red buttons, and I donated to Red Cross, and I'm doing auctions at help_japan.

But this video is special to me too. :D

That gave me chills. And it is so true.

Thanks for posting that. :)

What makes you say that, anon? He doesn't really have anything to gain at all with his challenge. People will still come to see his films, no matter what. It's not like he's selling a product directly to fans. The movie industry is drastically different from the recording industry.

To add to that, he has never given me any reason to doubt him. If he proves himself to be a gigantic hypocrite in some way, then maybe I'll rethink how I feel about him. But until then, I choose to think that he means what he says.

Exactly.

At one time I used to think Gerard Way and Frank Iero were good guys. It took quite a lot to turn me against them. But despite that, I'm not going to automatically suspect every person I meet of being a douchebag.

Until he proves otherwise, I'm going to continue to take JGL at face value and think of him as a good guy.

Starland Ballroom to auction ticket packages for Japan earthquake relief

Much of the spring schedule at the Starland Ballroom is already sold out. Tickets for upcoming shows by the Deftones, My Chemical Romance, All Time Low, Coheed and Cambria, and Three Days Grace haven't been available for a long time. Starting on Thursday, the Sayreville concert venue is giving fans another chance to get into these concerts. The Starland will be auctioning off a tickets and meet-and-greet package for each show, with all proceeds from the sales going to the American Red Cross' earthquake relief efforts in Japan.

The auctions open on March 17 at 3 p.m., and bidding will remain active for a week. The opening bid for each package is $100. To participate in the auction, direct your web browser to starlandballroom.com, follow the earthquake relief link, and click the red button under the picture of the band you want to see.

Your options of shows to bid on, in chronological order: power-pop hitmakers All Time Low play Starland on March 25, heavy rockers Three Days Grace pull into Sayreville on April 14, arty Coheed and Cambria perform on April 22, the theatrical My Chemical Romance appear on May 7 and 8, and ambitious metal combo the Deftones will holler from the storied stage on May 11. The two MCR shows are among the most anticipated of the spring -- they'll be the first the Belleville band plays in the Garden State since the release of "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys."

Who will be there to pick up the pieces and stop him from going over the edge this time?

Brian isn't there. Jeffrey isn't there. Cortez isn't there.

There's a tragedy coming and Romeo won't be a hero this time.

Anonymous said...

I really do feel sorry for Gerard Way, I do.

Why did no one tell him to take some time to figure out who he was? Why didn't he have the God given sense to know to do that for himself?

The more pictures and videos I see of him the more I see an empty shell. Searching for something or someone to fill it.

I've seen it before and it always ends in tragedy.

It's so damn heartbreaking. There is nothing you can do, You can scream at the top of your lungs but those shells will not hear you. They'll just roll along the beach, in and out with the tide. Never finding enough life to fill them.

Anonymous said...

It's. so. damn. sad.

All I can think about is his daughter. HIs poor, beautiful, innocent daughter. If something happens to him. If he does something to himself or pushes himself too far in the name of art. Whatever the fuck that means to him.

He's right. The world is ugly.

He has to snap the fuck out of it and wake up for his daughter's sake. He has to try to make things more beautiful for her.

I don't think I realized what a selfish bastard he was until now. He and his wife.

Keep it ugly? RLY? That's what you want your daughter to believe in? Ugliness? Hate? Venom? Hopelessness?

I thought he had chosen a better way. I was wrong.
He's taking the cowards way out and the rest of them of cheering him on.

What a disappointing realization.

Anonymous said...

What has he done now?

Welshie said...

I was just about to ask the same thing anon. Has anything happened to Gerard? I don't keep up with news of MCR anymore.

He deserves his fate with a tattooed leech like her.

As for "keeping it ugly" he will, because he shows to everyone how really ugly he is...on the inside.

Anonymous said...

I may seem heartless but I have given up giving a damn for people like them.

Imo they are selfish, self-absorbed immature people who only think about themselves. I don't believe anything he says about anything anymore. They are not genuine, apart from his feelings for Lindsey.

There are infinity more deserving people to care about then a conceited rock star.

Anonymous said...

I really do feel sorry for Gerard Way, I do.

Why do you feel sorry for him?

Don't.

Anonymous said...

I think MCR and anything related to them is now just simply boring. I just don't give a damn about them anymore and I know a lot of people here don't either. I actually think we waste our time discussing them. I've said it before, there are a lot of intelligent people on this blog. I find it a hell of a lot more interesting when we chat about other things.

MCR are not worth it. Not anymore.

Anonymous said...

I find it a hell of a lot more interesting when we chat about other things.

Me too!

I love when we talk about films. It would be great to talk about books too. Or anything, really.

There's so much other stuff out there that's more interesting than that nincompoop Gerard and his moronic bandmates.

I don't blame anyone no longer being interested in talking about such a conceited fool and his joke of a wife from Mindless Scummy leeches.

Things are looking worse and worse in Japan.:(

Japan weighs need to bury nuclear plant

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese engineers conceded on Friday that burying a crippled nuclear plant in sand and concrete may be the only way to prevent a catastrophic radiation release, the method used to seal huge leakages from Chernobyl in 1986.
Officials said they still hoped to fix a power cable to at least two reactors to restart water pumps needed to cool overheating nuclear fuel rods. Workers also sprayed water on the No.3 reactor, one of the most critical of the plant's six.
It was the first time the facility operator had acknowledged that burying the sprawling complex was an option, a sign that piecemeal actions such as dumping water from military helicopters were having little success.
"It is not impossible to encase the reactors in concrete. But our priority right now is to try and cool them down first," an official from the plant operator, Tokyo Electric Power Co, told a news conference.

Seems like the geewithoutlynz troll and her friends are taking things a bit far now by @replying at Lindsey and threatening to shoot her. I mean, I know she's talentless racist trash, but death threats?

It's so outlandish that it makes me think it might be her and Gerard doing it, just to generate sympathy. It's exactly what Eliza and her 'crew' did because she was pissed that people called her out on her racist bullshit, and we know that Gerard has a thing for that attention whorish type of girl who always plays the victim.

Anonymous said...

I've often wondered if geewithoutlynz was Gerard or Lindsey or one of their uber-fans trying to make people who dislike Lindsey (or MSI) look like jealous fangirls.

I dislike Lindsey, but I dislike Gerard just as much. When he hooked up with MSI I became an ex-fan. This person doesn't hold Gerard accountable for anything.
