I thought this was relevant to this blog's interests because "turning racist" (really misogynist) and/or getting involved with a racist band was obviously such a huge turning point, and was part of what created this blog and drawing everyone here. I also thought it was really funny.
But thank you JGL fans. For introducing me to a little movie called Brick. It was a masterpiece. I just watched Stop Loss recently and he was really good in that too.

I don't think that he will hit a girl or a woman. He's a coward. Not to say that it takes a strong man to hit a woman. You get what I mean.
What I'm concerned of is if one of his crazy ass fans does something and he won't get punished for brainwashing those kids - who are most likely mentally ill or don't have people in real life to talk to and depend on so that they have to resort to looking up to some rotten, sick and broken asshole - into doing something to another kid because he made them think that he saved their lives and thus they have to defend his honour.
That's what I'm concerned of. And if he had a brain, he would be too!

^ Do they? First I've heard of MCR liking Duran Duran? I haven't always read everything, but I really haven't heard that.
I can't recollect either band mention the other in interviews but bands can't possibly mention all the other bands they like or have shared a stage with.

If I were you, I would contact the FBI, Siobhan, but first I would make screencaps of the offending tweets and send them all to twitter. I'd also screencap Gerard's threat and report him.

Gerard Way didn't make any threats against anybody.

There is no way he can be held legally or ethically responsible for what his fans do in response to a tweet.

Gerard made the tweet threatening to bash faces, along with #dieslow and later #smashedface. If fans pick that up and run with it, you can bet he would be held responsible in some way if something happened to Siobhan at the hands of one of those fans.
At the very least his reputation would be ruined.
Even with just the death threats, I think he should be banned from twitter.
If you ask me, he is being incredibly irresponsible. He knows what kind of lunatics comprise his fanbase. He should have anticipated this reaction.

I hope a lot of people report him. What he said was too far, he's a 34 year old man and needs to grow up.
I guarantee you that if some of those girls get in trouble for their threats, the first thing they will do is try to blame it on Gerard. And you can bet your sweet ass their parents will blame it in him.
This isn't a case of fans getting inspiration from song lyrics. This is Gerard Way, trying to make threats of violence trending topics on a social networking site. I think it would have disastrous consequences for him, if for no other reason than the bad publicity.
