I've been made aware of someone on LiveJournal using the name "VeritaVenom" to post MCR fics.
I want to make clear that, not only is this person NOT me, but that it's likely a troll with an ax to grind. You have to admit that having an MCR fan with this name is a bit too much to be coincidence.
I hope you all realize by now that I'm definitely not one for writing or even reading fics, and I have nothing whatsoever to do with those bands or their fandom. Aside from the fact, obviously, that this blog is A Big Deal in the minds of their fans.
I am flattered and surprised that this blog has become big enough to be something of a legend. I'm a little gratified that it still inspires people like you guys and apparently upsets enough fangirls/boys that we are still in their headspace.
VertiaVenom, meaning THIS blog, the real VeritaVenom, (not the shabby LJ fangirl copy), the original... is not even me.
It's YOU. VeritaVenom is you.

And the idolatry that is now being transferred to his wife: and how she actively feeds it.
Except of course, when it comes to your friend and her less than mediocre bass playing.
With those two it appears to be the case of do as I say not as I do
LynZ has to know people are only interested in her "art show" because of her husband. I can imagine a lot of teenies will want to attend. Real art fans? Not so much.
I don't think Lynz is any different to Eliza when it comes to utilizing her connection to MCR.
Both her and her friend appear to be taking full advantage of it.
Verita. You mean you didn't write that eloquent piece where frank jerks off and Gerard is staring in franks eyes, while biting his lip? LOL! We knew better!
To think fangirls actually write that sort of rot.
Surely that defeats the very concept of being a fan: dehumanizing someone to fulfill a fantasy.

It would seem so. And the fans don't stop with just making them have sex with each other. They have them rape, kill, and maim each other too. I remember a few years back a friend used to link me to this awful fic where Mikey was a killer and he raped and murdered Gerard and hung his head on a wall. WTF?
Waycest is particularly disturbing. I can't imagine how it feels to know that people are writing about you having sex with a sibling.
The new MCR drummer speaks. From Twitter, Shredicone says...Everyones got opinions. for every hater theres a thousand lovers. You and your lil read by nobody blogs can chew on dicks. #realtalk
He really doesn't get it, does he?
He really doesn't get it, does he?
So wait. If the blogs are "read by nobody" then how does he know about them?
He's not too bright, is he?
Guess we've really got a name for ourselves here. :)
...Everyones got opinions. for every hater theres a thousand lovers. You and your lil read by nobody blogs can chew on dicks.
Well, i guess he fits right in with the band, until they get rid of him.
I bet Dstarpro contacted Jessika and Lynz and told them about this blog. You know how she likes to help(get in people's business)
That Shredicone fellow is trying really hard to get into the band, isn't he? LMAO. Poor dumb bastard.
I don't know why he even tries. In the end he will be burned and forgotten like the rest that get involved with Gerard and Co. Agreed, 'Poor dumb bastartd'.

I believe this sort of rubbish crosses the boundaries of fantasy and creativity into pure obscenity.
And these nitwits are concerned with this blog, if their little cryptic tweets are to believed.
Maybe they should be more concerned with their so-called fans.
I bet Dstarpro contacted Jessika and Lynz and told them about this blog. You know how she likes to help(get in people's business)
Do we really care what those two think? I don't particularly hold them in high regard.
Do we really care what those two think? I don't particularly hold them in high regard.
I certainly don't care what they think, and I doubt anyone else here does either.
But I do think it's funny when Dstarpro goes running around getting into everyone's business. She's like Lindsey and Jessicka's self-appointed Twitter Body Guards. They should put her on the payroll.
*Guard (singular, not plural. At least I would hope there's only one of her ;p)
I believe MCR do know about this blog and may have checked it out. I can imagine a hysterical fan telling one of them about it's existence. I can especially see Gerard checking it out, even if it's out of curiosity. I've read a lot of celebs read what is read about them on the net. I guess it's just human nature?
PS-the new drummer sounds like a dick. He'll fit right in with his new "friends". Well, until the fearless leader Gerard replaces him.
^^ Read what is written.
At least I would hope there's only one of her ;p
I don't know. She provides lots of entertainment. Whenever somebody says anything that's not so nice to anyone connected to the band on twitter, she rushes in and tries to fight their battles for them. It's hilarious.
There's a recent picture on Eliza's twitter page, standing next to some guy. I have to say, she looks good. A lot better then LynZ, who is looking kinda rough these days.
I can imagine a hysterical fan telling one of them about it's existence.
Lol. Me too. Like they think the Mighty (Mouse) Gerard is going to come in here and get it shut down or something.
The only thing they're accomplishing is spreading the url around.
Gerard breaking up with her is probably the best thing that ever happened to Eliza. I think it motivated her to get her shit together. She does look better than she's ever looked. Good for her.

I remember reading an lJ from a person who worked at PR. They said they saw various bands go online to check out what the fansites said about them.
Lol. Me too. Like they think the Mighty (Mouse) Gerard is going to come in here and get it shut down or something.
He's gutless and under Lynz's thumb.
"I'm somebody that loves to marry art to commerce, I think they should actually exist together. And that doesn't mean money, but art and distribution, they should be allied. And if you can do that and retain your personal integrity, then it's fine. As an artist, if you want to keep hold of the real stuff, you have to figure out how to duck and dive all the other things. The truth is, it's easy to stay away from parties. You need to have to actually try to end up there. The really hard part is remembering how to be brutal with your music - and with zero apology, or zero cred-chasing." - GERARD WAY
"Retain your personal integrity and zero cred chasing". Yeh.
"I'm somebody that loves to marry art to commerce, I think they should actually exist together. And that doesn't mean money, but art and distribution, they should be allied. And if you can do that and retain your personal integrity, then it's fine."
I don't really see how he thinks he is maintaining his "personal integrity" when he does things to promote his friends. Or when he has always allowed his "friends" (such as Eliza and the rest of the no-talent WMHC) to use him to promote themselves.
I think he lets his personal attachments color his morals too much, which results in his so-called "integrity" being compromised.
In other words, he's full of shit.
Lol. Me too. Like they think the Mighty (Mouse) Gerard is going to come in here and get it shut down or something.
He's gutless and under Lynz's thumb.
I don't think he's under Lindsey's thumb; I just think he doesn't always see the people that he cares about realistically. He maybe doesn't realize when people use him. And he hasn't figured out that nepotism isn't cool.
Do you think he is really capable of caring about anyone but himself? Yeah, I know he's always on and on about Lindsey now, but he has a history of dropping people when he gets tired of them.
I honestly worry about Lindsey and Bandit. I wouldn't want my husband or father to be someone who seems to have no concept of long-term loyalty.
"You are the most beautiful person I have ever met, and you are endlessly inspiring"
^^ Gerard's latest tweet. I think it's in response to something LynZ tweeted earlier, but I actually believe she was talking about Bandit. She said something about being a cat and "sleeping in your lap". Is that something you would say to your husband? I hope not-it's sort of weird. I can imagine her saying it to her kid though.
Anyway. Gerard' tweets are corny, but all the fangirls are going on like it's the greatest love story of all time and how they wish they were in a relationship like theirs. Sigh.
I don't think Gerard will ever leave LynZ. The way he goes on about her, I think he sees her as the "perfect" woman for him. I also suspect he is unhealthily dependent on her and more then a little obsessed. If anyone should leave I think it will be her, but she won't-she enjoys the lifestyle too much. If they ever do break up I would want LynZ to get full custody of the baby. I just can't see Gerard as a responsible dad. She actually seems to love the girl.
I agree with you 12:00. Even if the whole "love story" turn out to be one big fat lie, I don't want them to break up for the sake of his daughter. His daughter is more important than the two of them put together.
Anyway. Gerard' tweets are corny, but all the fangirls are going on like it's the greatest love story of all time and how they wish they were in a relationship like theirs. Sigh.
Rings a bell doesn't it? Like the this band's going to save your life mantra. Different subject, but yeah.
Anyway. Gerard' tweets are corny, but all the fangirls are going on like it's the greatest love story of all time and how they wish they were in a relationship like theirs. Sigh.
Little do they realize they are probably tweeting each other while one of them is pooping on the toliet. Yes, the greatest love story. LOL!
Anyway. Gerard' tweets are corny, but all the fangirls are going on like it's the greatest love story of all time and how they wish they were in a relationship like theirs. Sigh.
These young inexperienced girls don't understand that real love isn't advertised like a billboard in neon lights.
These young inexperienced girls don't understand that real love isn't advertised like a billboard in neon lights.
True. They also don't know that real love isn't "love at first sight" and that people who claim they "knew so-and-so was the only person I could ever be married to", blah, blah, is just romantic nonsense. That kind of love fades away sooner or later and then you're left with trying to get along with someone who is developing wrinkles and saggy skin and who has these bad habits you never noticed when you were so infatuated in the beginning.
I hope that Gerard and Lindsey do stay together for Bandit's sake, but they do still go on like a couple of naive teenagers. The road to divorce court is paved with the same kind of over the top proclamations of love by countless other celebs that we hear from Gerard and Lindsey.
MCR fangirls are the type of girls who thought The Notebook was the most romantic movie ever made.
It made me want to puke.
I've never watched The Notebook. I don't really like soppy romantic stories. There is a difference between having some romance in your life compared to making up an intricate illusion so you and make others believe your life is full and romantic.
^^so you make others
There comes a point in every relationship where the initial romance has worn off and a couple has to begin adjusting to reality. At that point you realize that there is no "perfect" mate and you either accept that you have to let some of your original fantasy go, or you enter into a state of denial, where you refuse to let the idea of that fantasy go.
I think Gerard's actions resemble a classic case of denial. While Lindsey may be a very good wife and partner for him, I doubt very seriously that he still thinks she is as totally amaaaaazing and perfect as he lets on.
Or, it could be that he's hell bent on proving the people who said they wouldn't last wrong.
Or, it could be that he's hell bent on proving the people who said they wouldn't last wrong.
Anyone that pig-headed is immature.
But, you know it's their lives. Some people one day wake up and realize it never really satisfied them and they missed out on what they really could have had. That's the problem with denial it hits you later.
1:07, I think he may have begun to realize that after a couple of months but then LynZ "accidentally" became pregnant, so he didn't really have a choice after that. He had to stick with her. He can't leave her now, what would the fansheep say? Plus, I think he's one of those really stubborn people, he knows everyone thinks he got married too soon. He'll stay with her just so no-one can say, "I told you so" to him.
Hope he's getting lots of sex! Pointless being with "the one" if you're not enjoying yourselves.
He'll stay with her just so no-one can say, "I told you so" to him.
It's his life, if he wants to live a fake one, it's his problem.
Him still going on about how amazing, beautiful, etc, she is after three years makes me wonder if he lives in some sort of fantasy world. Nobody is perfect, sometimes your other half drives you crazy. His over the top tweets are probably to show the world he is still madly in love with her and their relationship is magical. I actually feel sorry for her. Living with him must not be the easiest job in the world.
When you have a baby, sex usually takes a back seat. With his touring and her art show......actually I don't care.
I don't sorry for her at all. If she had any brains she would sort him out. She like the attention and lives in the same fantasy world as he does.
I don't think any of us can presume to know what really goes on in their relationship, but I do think one has to take all the over the top proclamations of love with a grain of salt. He's obviously trying to prove something to someone, be it to her, to himself or to the fans.
When you have a baby, sex usually takes a back seat. With his touring and her art show......actually I don't care.
I dunno, I happen to think sex is very important in a marriage or any relationship. But that's my opinion. You have to make the effort to be for each other.
^there
When you have a baby, sex usually takes a back seat.
It really does. And it doesn't get much better as the child gets older either. It's so hard to find time and nothing ever feels spontaneous when there's a little one around. You almost have to schedule sex, which really takes a bite out of the romance.
It's so hard to find time and nothing ever feels spontaneous when there's a little one around. You almost have to schedule sex
Tell me about it. It's like, "Okay, after we get the baby into bed and I've finished folding the laundry, we can have sex, as long as you put the dishes in the dishwasher and we're not both too exhausted by then..."
And then you both fall asleep the minute you crawl into bed.
People have no clue until they actually have a baby. No clue at all.

So fucking true.
Something tell me that Gerard and Lindsey don't care all that much about laundry or doing the dishes. And I'd say that Gerard doesn't do much to help out with the baby. He spent a whole year recording a record and was probably out til 4 am every night. Now he's going out on tour. I'd say Lindsey has spent a lot of nights alone with the baby.
Something tell me that Gerard and Lindsey don't care all that much about laundry or doing the dishes.
Are you suggesting they live in squalor? Everyone has to do laundry and dishes.
My Chemical Romance Go Genre-Hunting With Zero Percent
By Johnny Firecloud

Listen to the B-side to My Chemical Romance’s Na NA Na single that hits UK stores on Monday. We’ll agree with SomeKindofAwesome that Zero Percent sounds quite a bit like Mindless Self Indulgence in spots, and that’s not necessarily the worst thing.
The track goes full retard for the chorus, but the verses are at least interesting. Hell, we’re talking about a band so guilt-ridden at having helped push emo into the mainstream that they’re desperately clawing for new musical ground. That deserves a little credit and encouragement, no? After all, I suppose that’s why we’re talking about them here, because this is the first and last time I’ll be listening to this
MCR’s fourth album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys drops on the 22nd of this month. Do what you will with that information.

Lol. That's a review that won't show up on mcr_unofficial. The fangirls have to live in a fantasy world where the whole world thinks MCR is universally loved.
We’ll agree with SomeKindofAwesome that Zero Percent sounds quite a bit like Mindless Self Indulgence in spots,
I think we all knew this would happen all along. Some of the people here were spot on.
LOL! This is a comment on that review
i dont really like the song – from a listening point of view, but its great for sing-along and dancing in clubs. Yup, the chorus goes on full retard, but thats what so great about it. It’s just FUN
Does that make any sense? They really don't like it from a listening point of view?
Does that make any sense? They really don't like it from a listening point of view?
Maybe that means they can only listen to it when they're doing drugs.
It's quite a transition to go from Cancer to FUN. I don't think this album is going to work. At all.
Oh, it works for me. I'm not an MCRmy clone or whatevs. It's catchy, I like it. It's music, which I pretty much take at face value. I have too other much real shit to deal with in my life.
People have no clue until they actually have a baby. No clue at all.
Some people cope better with babies than others.

Nope, he's gutless.
A weak gutless fool
People have no clue until they actually have a baby. No clue at all.
Some people cope better with babies than others.
Says someone who probably hasn't had a baby yet.
I've never talked to anyone who has had a child who hasn't said that it was about 100 times more work than they thought it would be.
Yes, some people cope better than others, but it is never easy.
Says someone who probably hasn't had a baby yet.
Wrong.
I don't think there's any disagreement that some people cope better with babies than others. Also, some babies are easier to care for than others. Some sleep a lot. Some have colic and cry 24/7 for 3 months straight.
Still, it's never easy. You don't just bring a baby home from the hospital and assimilate it into your life without a lot of adjustment and problems. And it definitely affects your sex life. Anyone who says it doesn't is either lying or is a lousy parent.
I have a friend who gave birth six months ago. It has been a period of adjustment as it would be for any first time mother, but she and her significant other try to have "dates" occasionally so to speak. I or her brother and his wife look after the baby on those occasions, and I think it's a good thing that they care enough about each other to do that as I believe one of the best gift parents can give their children are a model of two loving parents.
You don't just bring a baby home from the hospital and assimilate it into your life without a lot of adjustment and problems. And it definitely affects your sex life. Anyone who says it doesn't is either lying or is a lousy parent.
QFT.
For the first few months you're living on about 5 hours of sleep a night (if you're lucky). Your eyebags start to have eyebags and the only thing you have the strength to do in bed is sleep.
The house is a wreck and the only place you can usually manage to drag yourself to on a regular basis is the grocery store. If you're lucky, you trust someone (like a grandparent) to watch the baby long enough to let you go out of the house for a couple of hours with your spouse during that period, but then you miss the baby terribly and call every 30 minutes to see if s/he's all right.
Having a baby is one of the most stressful things you can do. I think the only people who adjust quickly are people who have maids and nannies.
I'm a mother and apart from getting my daughter into a routine of feeding and sleeping I didn't consider it incredibly stressful. It was hard work initially and also enjoyable and not the negative experience everyone is saying here.
Having a baby is one of the most stressful things you can do. I think the only people who adjust quickly are people who have maids and nannies.
You make it sound like a terrible experience: spare a though for the working mother. That's very stressful.
Kids affect your sex life even after they aren't babies anymore. The spontaneity that a couple enjoys before they have children is pretty much gone forever. You can't just up and have sex on the living room floor in front of the fireplace when junior might walk in at any minute and ask for a glass of water.
Couples who really work at it can manage to still have an active and satisfying sex life after they've had kids, but it is never easy. It's work, and a lot of people live under the delusion that sex, love, romance, etc. should never be work. The people who expect their fantasy of "perfect love" to continue on through their marriage are the ones who have the hardest time adjusting.
I'm a mother and apart from getting my daughter into a routine of feeding and sleeping I didn't consider it incredibly stressful. It was hard work initially and also enjoyable and not the negative experience everyone is saying here.
Nobody is saying it's a terrible experience, nor are we saying that being a parent isn't very rewarding. We're just saying that it takes a toll on you physically and emotionally and that it's very stressful to a marriage.
Everything worthwhile involves hard work, that includes friendships, children and marriages. Children grow up and eventually have their own lives that's why I believe it's so important work at your relationship.
It's not just babies that stress marriages. If you're in one long enough you know that.
It's not just babies that stress marriages. If you're in one long enough you know that.
Lol.
Who said otherwise? Marriage is the most difficult thing you'll ever undertake. Which is why most of us scoff at those who brag about their "perfect" relationship.
Maybe they're both delusional or want to believe in fairytales and unicorns.
Lol he was braggin how he wrote a message to his wife on his neck.
Maybe they're both delusional or want to believe in fairytales and unicorns.
Hey, I want to believe in "Pinto" (any Star Trek fans out there who know what I'm talking about?), but unfortunately, that GQ Motherfucker is only a mythological creature who will never exist. But, unfortunately, all of us have to accept that our fantasies aren't real at some point.
^Overuse of the word "unfortunately" much?
Sorry, it's too early in the morning for me.
*going back to bed now*
But, unfortunately, all of us have to accept that our fantasies aren't real at some point.
I think that is called growing up.
Really 4:25? It's to be expected from that idiot.
I think that is called growing up.
Exactly.
Lol, Pinto.
I'd hit it. ^_^
It doesn't stop after the babies are no longer babies either. When my kids were infants I found that I had much more free time to myself then I do now. As your little ones grow you have homework, karate classes, school functions, PTA meetings, and a whole other host of new things to take up your time. Not saying those things are bad, but a marriage can really buckle under all the stress of having little time to spend together. If you can find ways to have date nights that's great, but a lot of people don't have babysitters on speed dial. I wouldn't give up the experience of parenthood for anything, but having children is always an adjustment. From the time they are born to the moment they go off to college, everything revolves around them.
I guess that's called responsibility.
From the time they are born to the moment they go off to college, everything revolves around them.
That is so true. And it's so easy for some parents to fall into the trap where their entire existence is based on the children.
I was talking to a colleague the other day about movies we've seen, and essentially, he hadn't seen a film that wasn't rated G in 4 or 5 years. I asked him why, and he said it was because the things he and his wife did were usually with and about his kids. He said with their work schedules, they felt they needed to spend as much spare time as possible with the kids, which left zero time for themselves. And he didn't seem too happy about it. In fact, he seems pretty miserable most all of the time.
Couples should try to work on their relationships more, but usually, when time is an issue, something suffers because people as a whole aren't that great at time management. What suffers? Sometimes it's the career, sometimes the kids, but more often than not, it's the marriage. At least that's been the experience of most of my friends and co-workers.
And he didn't seem too happy about it. In fact, he seems pretty miserable most all of the time.
He probably wants to be alone with his wife. and do things with her without any kids involved.
Lol, Pinto.
I'd hit it. ^_^
Who wouldn't?
Apparently Gerard and Ray need to get their stories straight. Is it Ladyboy or is it Show Pony?
Makes me wonder how Brangelina cope with all those kids. Being loaded probably helps.
I think it's Show Pony.
Well, Ray called him Ladyboy in an interview just recently.
Lol. NME did the first magazine article about Danger Days that isn't totally kissing the band's asses and the fans are going apeshit.
Someone asked Gerard about it on his Twitter and he said it was Show Pony. It says the word Show Pony on the guys knuckles in the video for NaNaNa. But if Ray says it's Lady Boy then I don't know. Maybe Gerard was bullshitting?
What NME article? Is it the one with Gerard on the cover? BTW, he looks more and more feminine as each day goes by.
But if Ray says it's Lady Boy then I don't know. Maybe Gerard was bullshitting?
Dr. Death Defying called him Ladyboy on his twitter twice before Gerard made the tweet in response to a transgender fan who complained about the term.
In an interview that's currently up on MCR's website, Ray calls the character "Ladyboy".
So yeah. I think Gerard was just talking out of his ass.
What NME article? Is it the one with Gerard on the cover? BTW, he looks more and more feminine as each day goes by.
Yeah, that's it. There's a scan up on lj.
There is also a link to Ray's interview where he uses the term "ladyboy" here.
You have to register for the stupid MCR site to read Ray's interview, which I refuse to do, but Ray's quote is in the comments.
I read the NME article earlier and I didn't think it was necessarily saying bad things about the band. Not taking them terribly seriously, maybe, but it didn't trash them.
Damn, but MCR fans are sensitive little things, aren't they?
Gerard did make a tweet about the Show Pony thing, but then some one of his friends came along and got into it with that fan about that whole "taking terms back" and words not being offensive thing.
Fans assumed that "Ladyboy" would be dropped, but obviously, they assumed wrong.
Typical MCR bullshit.
One day he's going to win the bullshit award of the century for best parody of a pop goth star
Wow, Ray came right out and said that Bob left because of creative differences with the band. :/
Not taking them terribly seriously
Tell me, who would?
They probably wanted him to get a bowl haircut and wear a blue mask.
Not taking them terribly seriously
Tell me, who would?
Inorite? Four 30+ year old guys with tacky plastic rayguns.
They probably wanted him to get a bowl haircut and wear a blue mask.
Bob? Lol, like that was ever going to happen.
I'm sure he would much rather be out of the band and maintain his dignity.
Wow, Ray came right out and said that Bob left because of creative differences with the band. :/
That seems to be the standard line for everything
From NMW:
"Way describes it (Danger Days) as turning the cannon on rock n roll. I interpret it more as a love note to American trash culture in all its forms, as exemplified by the cheap polyresin raygun that comes with album's special edition."
LMAO.
Lol. But they have Jimmy Urine's blessing, guess that's more important.
In the category of best baloney of the year, the award goes to...

Oh noes! Not the tired old creative differences excuse. Everybody knows that means that the band hates the band member who left and vice versa.
I was so proud of them for not using that excuse.
That seems to be the standard line for everything
Yeah. In this case, it probably translates into he didn't want to do electronic dance music and dress up in like a Power Ranger and run around in the desert.
I had some issues with Bob, but jfc, he was burned very badly during the making of that stupid FLW video, which resulted in him getting an infection that could have killed him. Then the stupid band toured so long on TBP that he fucked his wrists up and had to undergo painful surgery and rehabilitation.
I seriously hope they did not just up and kick him out after all that.
Oh noes! Not the tired old creative differences excuse. Everybody knows that means that the band hates the band member who left and vice versa.
This. I have the impression there is really no love lost on both sides.
"American trash culture."
Yep. That about sums it up.
I seriously think Bob told the rest of the band fuck you and the horse you rode in on when they told him they wanted to start over and record new shit goddamnit.
Yeah. In this case, it probably translates into he didn't want to do electronic dance music and dress up in like a Power Ranger and run around in the desert.
Or, my wife has now become the creative director and she thinks her band should be on our album...
^That's rebellion. They should love Bob more for that.
Wonder what Bob thought of the Ladyboy on roller skates idea?
lulz
Gerard probably put the Show Pony character in purposely so he could read all the Gerard/Show Pony fanfic he knew the fans would write.
Gerard probably put the Show Pony character in purposely so he could read all the Gerard/Show Pony fanfic he knew the fans would write.
Didn't there used to be an MCR Slash site that was devoted to "pony play" back in the day?
I think they were all drunks as skunks and watching this when GW had a light bulb moment.
Lol. In ten years, MCR's videos are all going to look as dated and ridiculous as that one does.
Lol. In ten years, MCR's videos are all going to look as dated and ridiculous as that one does.
Helena already does.
IMO, the only one that will hold up over time is I'm Not Okay. That was a classic video. Too bad I can't stand to listen to the song anymore.
What about Mr Ham in FLW?
What about Mr Ham in FLW?
I think Gerard fucked up all the MCR videos with his stupid facial expressions. WTTBP and FLW were bad, but I Don't Love You was the worst. He even did the faces bit during the performance parts of GOY, which was supposed to be as "serious" video.
I think Gerard rolling around on the ground in FLW was the worst. And wtf was up with that dust on his teeth? I couldn't even watch it.
He even did the faces bit during the performance parts of GOY, which was supposed to be as "serious" video.
He must get a case of "twitchy face" when told not to do any facial expressions.
videos with his stupid facial expressions. WTTBP and FLW were bad,
The shoe polish vids mark an epoch in time, wonder if the red gunk ones will too.
My Chemical Romance: 'Scrapped 28 boring songs'
"We'd done interviews and photo-shoots," says My Chemical Romance's bassist Mikey Way. "The singles were picked, we were booking shows - we were ready to go…"
And then the breaks were applied.
Two and a half years ago the New Jersey rockers returned to the studio to begin work on the follow-up to their hugely successful third album The Black Parade.
However, something was very wrong.
"It was just a pretty damaged band," says lead singer Gerard Way, tucking his freshly-died bright red hair under a winter hat.
"It wasn't damage between us - it was just we had toured too long, we'd over-worked, we'd over-shot in a lot of ways. [We were] Over exposed.
"We didn't have a semblance of real life at all. At that point Frank [Lero, guitarist] was only one with a home and he never saw it. None of us had homes.
"None of us could drive a car anymore. None of us could do anything for ourselves. It had just ground down to dust by a billion and one things."
My Chemical Romance Gerard Way says The Black Parade left the band "damaged" 'Really boring'
In short they were a band who'd given every last bead of sweat. The tank was empty.
The Black Parade, a mortality-questioning conceptual rock-opera, had catapulted them into the big league alongside bands like Green Day and Foo Fighters. It'd also almost destroyed them.
They went into the studio and recorded a brand new album. As Mikey explains it was submitted to the record label and the band readied themselves to go.
"Something didn't feel right," says Gerard reluctantly. "It was a record that went against everything about the band that was great.
"Which was like having ambition, being ambitious, being visual, being artists, being excited, being free, reckless and rock 'n' roll.
"That stuff was gone and what was in its place was really boring."
Added to that, they parted ways with drummer Bob Bryar. Either way, the remaining members huddled around the studio's delete-button for everything they'd recorded so far and consigned it to history.
"Scrapped?" says Gerard. "Probably 28 songs. An entire album - and then some."
Fortunately they gathered their heads and wrote new single Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na), shattering their own "creative paralysis" in the process. Suddenly they were re-energised.
Along with a new, rawer sound came a number of new ground-rules to ensure the burn-out of the previous three years wouldn't creep in again. They had to make themselves crack-proof.
"Before, no-one wanted to be a complainer so we'd always work so hard," says Gerard.
"Now, it's like we've all told each other if something is too much just raise a flag.
"While we were making Danger Days there was a couple of moments where I said, 'I have to go home today.'"
So today, we find MCR having conquered their own self-made mountain. Ten years on from forming, for them, it tastes the sweetest.
"This is definitely the most excited I've been for us to put an album out," concludes Gerard. "It was such a struggle for us to get there.
"I like the fact we're not playing characters. It'll be more cinematic as opposed to theatrical this time."
"I felt like we're unique. I feel like we're still unique."
My Chemical Romance's album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys is released on 22 November.

blah blah, blah blah blah
God, don't they ever get tired of their own bullshit?
"I like the fact we're not playing characters. It'll be more cinematic as opposed to theatrical this time."
Yes, folks. You heard it here first. My Chemical Romance are not playing characters. They, in fact, are The Fabulous Killjoys.
Let the eye-rolling ensue.
Maybe Gerard has some kind of disorder that's related to Tourette Syndrome? IDK, IDK.
Don't you listen?
MCR are not the Killjoys. Their fans and friends are. The proof is in the costumes the fans are wearing to the concerts.
Gerard is not Party Poison.
Mikey is not Cobra Kid.
Frank is not Fun Ghoul.
Ray is not the JetStar.
That's the names of their guns.
I don't care about Gerard and his verbal diarrhea. I want to know who this Pinto person is.
They went into the studio and recorded a brand new album. As Mikey explains it was submitted to the record label and the band readied themselves to go.
"Something didn't feel right," says Gerard reluctantly. "It was a record that went against everything about the band that was great
What he really is trying to say is the record label didn't like it and sent them back to redo the album.
Gerard is not Party Poison.
Mikey is not Cobra Kid.
Frank is not Fun Ghoul.
Ray is not the JetStar.
I'm sorry, but this is the dumbest concept/non-concept (whatever the hell they're choosing to call it) they could have possibly come up with. Are they 12?
Wonder what Bob thought of the Ladyboy on roller skates idea?
lulz
I bet they wanted Bob to be Show Pony and he told Gerard where he could stick that thong!
Gerard is not Party Poison.
Mikey is not Cobra Kid.
Frank is not Fun Ghoul.
Ray is not the JetStar.
That's the names of their guns
So all of those mystery twitters are actually guns tweeting each other? I think not.
Fun Ghoul? That's totally an old pun that my Italian uncles and Dad used to use.
You mean an old italian curse word Kapunua.
I'm sorry, but this is the dumbest concept/non-concept (whatever the hell they're choosing to call it) they could have possibly come up with. Are they 12?
Who do you think their target demographic is? Geniuses?
I've always been highly empathetic

oh yeah surezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
whip it, whip it good
I've always been highly empathetic
I can't believe he pulled that shit out again. He doesn't strike me as being empathetic at all. I don't think he cares about anyone but himself.
Yes, fangul as in, "va fangul!" which is pronounced more or less like "fohn-gool"
That silly joke pre-dates all of them

Doesn't that mean "Fuck you?"
How clever of him. Not.

Some effin' good news for Tony Soprano from the Italian Supreme Court. The fictional Italian-American mobster, and millions of law-abiding real folk in the old country, can now feel more free (not that Tony ever held back) to use the Italian "V" word that — more or less — corresponds with the English "F" word. Italy's top court ruled on Tuesday that "though representative of obscene concepts [and] of a sexual nature," that world-renowned 10-letter word is merely a "vulgar manifestation of irritation." The ruling overturned a verbal abuse conviction of a 60-year-old local politician in the central town of Aquila who had directed the expression at a political rival during a 1999 city council meeting.

Lol it's "vaffanculo". It means fuck you. I'm Italian so trust me :)
Yep it sure does.
Maybe he thought he was being a clever dick.
Someone is being rather sensitive. Apparently Ray gets really, really angry when people talk about his love handles.
Maybe he thought he was being a clever dick.
He thought wrong. He's just a plain old dick.
Isn't it amazing how this band constantly talks about how brutal and dangerous and challenging they are, but when someone writes about their little ol' love handles all their toughness flies out the window.
He thought wrong. He's just a plain old dick.
And not much of one too ;)

It is. I laughed out loud when I read Ray's tweet. He comes off like a little kid who got called a name on the playground.
And it doesn't help that now the MCR fangirls are sending tweets to NME complaining about the article and trying to get FUCK NME (or something like that) as a trending topic. So now Ray has all these little girls fighting his playground battles for him.
And all this after NME gives them a cover piece. If I were them it would be a cold day in hell before I put those assholes on the cover of my magazine again.

I thought that was all arranged through the label and the management representing the band.

It's pathetic, they'll never shake off their emo tag.
Well that just proves how dangerous they really are. They have 13 to 16 olds defending them.
So now Ray has all these little girls fighting his playground battles for him.
MCR is the most DANGEROUS band in rock because if you say something bad about them, they'll send an ARMY of 14 year old girls to come after you!
LMAO.
I thought that was all arranged through the label and the management representing the band.
Probably, but I doubt the arrangement included abuse by the band members and they're crazy ass fans.
Silvia, sorry for spelling it wrong; I just wrote it the way my Grandad, uncles and Dad used to say it. Great-Grandad was from Italy but was of course Americanized. ;D
Also, I have to agree that if someone made fun of Ray's weight, or anyone's, that's just stupid and irrelevant. Much better to call them out on their idiotic behavior.
The trending thing on twitter could potentially hurt NME (I doubt it will, but you never know) and the magazine might not agree to put MCR on the cover of their magazine again.
The overall vibe I got from the article in NME was that they were sarcastically poking fun of everything about MCR's new image, from Gerard's wanting to "look starved" in order to be in character, to the fact that Ray was not looking "starved". Yeah, it was maybe a low shot to talk about Ray's love handles, but I don't think it warrants a "fuck you" from Ray on his twitter.
But then, MCR never has been able to take the high road. They'd need a GPS to find it.
The NME story said that Gerard had gotten thin "by not eating" because he wanted to look starved for the Killjoys character. Then it talked about Ray having lovehandles.
I didn't like the message it was sending. As if girls need another reason to starve themselves; now they need to look "starved" in their Killjoys costumes. :/
This kind of bullshit is one of the reasons you can't take this band or its fans seriously. Read the comments.
MCR lost to Neon trees in a poll on FUSE, and the fans are all calling foul. Whenever their beloved band loses anything, they always say the other band's fans cheat.
How is it that other bands have these awesome hackers, bots, etc., but MCR's fans don't?
They just can't seem to accept that maybe another band/song/whatever might just be more popular or that their fans are just as active.
Such crybabies.
Animal by Neon Trees is #25 on iTunes. It's been in the top 100 for a while now. NaNaNa was only in the top 200 for about two weeks.
Animal gets tons of airplay and everyone at my school loves them, while nobody will even own up to listening to MCR. Why don't MCR fans realize that everybody doesn't love them? They are so lame.
OH NOEZ!!! MCR DIDN'T WIN!!11! THE OTHER GUYS MUST HAVE CHEATED!!!!!!
I guess the people voting for the VMAs, Grammys, etc., cheat too, because MCR never wins any of that stuff either.
Lol, now they're accusing FUSE of rigging the contest. Maybe our resident "LIBEL!" troll should go set them straight. ;p
From the FUSE website:
MyChemSavedmyLife
WTF? My Chemical Romance obvious is better than Neon Gays! sorry Neon Trees or whatever! cheaters!!just saying but you know this stupid competition don't say What band it's better! MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE SAVED THIS FUCKING GALAXY & MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE THE BEST!! *Sorry for my english XD

*rolls eyes*
Okay, so today MCR fans are tweeting Fuck NME and accusing Fuse of rigging a contest against MCR...
Why are they trying to piss off the media?
Hey @NMEmagazine! You are a piece of shit & don't deserve to have a band like @MCRofficial in your magazine! #FuckYouNME
Hey @NMEmagazine , how does it feel to know that a big awesome band like @MCRofficial hates your shit magazine?! #RayToroRules #FuckYouNME
@neontrees how the hell did your shitty band beat @MCROfficial? My Chemical Romance have fucking talent, you guys suck.
@NMEmagazine just so you know, @MCRofficial are too good to be mentioned in your worthless waste of paper. #MCRmy
DON'T VOTE! Neon Tree fans hacked the site. All votes are going towards the song Animal.
*facepalm* MCR fans are fucking embarrising.
Even if I still liked that band I couldn't be part of the fandom with the way fans are acting.
I think MCR are to blame with their hateful twitter comments and "I don't support anything" attitude.
@neontrees how the hell did your shitty band beat @MCROfficial? My Chemical Romance have fucking talent, you guys suck.
This probably is coming from someone who has never even heard Neon Trees.
I'm listening to Animal right now. It's catchy as fuck. I love it.
What do you guys expect from people who think MCR is going to outsell Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Kings of Leon?
Lol. CRY MOAR, Motorbabies. CRY MOAR.
Wonder if RT was doing a Kanye.
WTF? My Chemical Romance obvious is better than Neon Gays!
When are people going to stop using 'gay' as an insult? JFC
we have pretty thick skins because we have to, to be unique and different like we are
Until you bring up the love handles. That's a no no.
I think that Gerard opens the band up for criticism regarding their appearance by making such a big deal of it in the first place. He's the one who brought up the thing about "losing baby fat" and "looking starved" and "not eating".
If the guys from MCR want all their press to be "about the music", then maybe they should shut up about how "visual" and "cinematic" they are. And Gerard should stop talking about his weight.
I'm not saying it was right for the NME writer to bring up Ray's love handles, but I think Gerard is the one who puts too much emphasis on the way the band looks in the first place.
And honestly, I think the guy was giving Ray a back-handed compliment. He was contrasting Gerard's and Frank's obvious preoccupation with their looks with Ray's "I don't give a fuck what I look like, I just want to shred" attitude. Maybe he didn't go about it the right way, but I don't think he meant to insult Ray at all.
we have pretty thick skins because we have to, to be unique and different like we are
Until you bring up the love handles. That's a no no.
I always laugh when Gerard says stupid shit about how thick skinned the band is or how they don't care about criticism. You can tell by the way he (and Ray, obviously) reacts to it that it gets under his skin like nothing else. Methinks the lady(ies) doth protest too much.
Gerard talks too much. Period.
Ray made himself look stupid.
I can't believe Ray even said anything about it. The review was a good review, with a bit of light hearted jabbing. The fan girls are so obsessed they are blind to reason. They have been hassling the shit out of the NME deputy editor. The guy sure has had his eyes opened up to the craziness of the MCR fangirl. It's very embarrassing. It looks like he is having a bit of fun with them because he can't believe their behaviour. *shakes head* I hate the MCRmy thing. We are an army......oh shut up! Even when I was still a fan, that always bothered me.
LOL
@lukelewis I hope you know that the MCRmy is not gonna back off. We're a family, and you've insulted us. Expect great amounts of hate mail.
@KilljoysUnited I look forward to reading it. You're not a 'family', by the way, you're a coven of outrageous dickheads
Great stuff *grabs popcorn*
Luke Lewis's tweets to the crazy MCR fans are too funny.
http://twitter.com/lukelewis
Fan Culo might tweet something to support Ray.
