Oh my God, I had a whole post typed out and Blogger crashed and deleted it without saving a draft.

I forgot most of what I wrote so I have to start over.

I notice some of you talking about Laura Slessinger and her use of the N- Bomb recently. I saw some of the fall-out from that in the news too. And it made me think about what gets said to a lot of you sometimes.

We see a lot of MSICR fans saying that MSICR have the first amendment right to use whatever language they want and we have no right to stop them. I think once even Lyn-Z made a comment about "Thank God for the first amendment" when talking about her band's lyrics.

But I have always thought, no one is TRYING to take away their right to use hate speech. We have the right to our opinion too when it comes to lyrics that are racist, homophobic and misogynist.

This article about Laura Slessinger and the first amendment said a lot of what needs to be said here too.

These are the parts I wanted to quote.

The First Amendment protects us from the government, and not from other Americans who disagree with what we have to say. “Congress shall make no law” — the first five words of the First Amendment — say it all: No government body can limit our rights to speak out. In this case, there’s no government action, just public outrage and pressure.

Boycotts are also protected by the First Amendment. Dr. Laura complains about being “bullied” by those who might pressure her radio affiliates or advertisers, but boycotts are a time-honored use of the First Amendment to address perceived wrongs and have played a role in virtually every social movement in American history.

But the whole article is really good.

MSICR are allowed to use hate speech in their lyrics. MSICR fans are allowed to listen to those lyrics and interpret them any way they want. They can think they are about something else, if they want to. You interpret things however it makes sense to you.

YOU are also allowed to hate those lyrics, take them at face value (which the bands themselves always say), and to boycott them if you want..... forever if that's what you want.

There will always be arguments as long as there are lyrics, tweets, concerts and interviews with that kind of speech. There will be disagreements no matter what. But disagreeing is NOT the same thing as squashing someone else's rights.

I really thought that article said it better than I could have.

She.is.anarchy. I'm curious and I hope you don't mind me asking you this, but what made you change your mind about MSI? You don't have to answer if you don't want to.

Anonymous said...

I don't mind answering at all. I slowly started to realize that we were becoming a nation of haters. We make hateful comments just in general anymore and I realized that, to me, making fun of hating someone or making a joke out of someone wasn't how I felt comfortable trying to make a point. I did think Jimmy Urine was trying to make a point and I know that he and Chantal are very big gay rights activists, but at the same time, I can't find overly negative and hateful lyrics, etc, funny or entertaining. Then I slowly saw this build up of fans around LynZ and it just was making what I saw as an already degrading fanbase (MCR's) even worse because now they were supporting this type of music. I don't care if others like it, but I'm very uncomfortable with it. For me it seemed to be making hate, violence and lack of compasion a common thing to the point where people lost the meaning of compassion. If that makes any sense. I guess I can say, I found I was just too old to be able to take it lightly anymore.

Anonymous said...

Thank you for your answer SIA. I'm one of those people who fail to see any 'point' that JU was trying to make through his demeaning lyrics, though I do respect your opinion.

kapunua said...

The Inception comic was pretty cute. :)

SIA, I agree with you. There really is way too much hate and violence.

I absolutely do not think that music causes it or even encourages it. But, I also have the right to call out a band that says one thing and then does another.

Especially if they're a bunch of prats.

Anonymous said...

People in a position of influence need to be responsible for their actions and opinions. Even in jest.

kapunua said...

I'm not so sure. However, people who purposely put themselves in a position of influence, and made a statement saying they wanted to be a positive influence, do have that obligation.

MSI has always been the codpiece of the music world. It's just, they used to be obscure.

I guess I've just never felt that artists of any sort were in a position of noblesse oblige. Unless they've stated themselves that they wish to be role models - in which case, they'd better act accordingly.

However I do prefer it when they act like they are.

And as I've made clear so many times, I despise hate speech. I don't believe it should be censored or anything, and ultimately, every person decides for themselves how they are going to act.

MSI/MCR made their collective decision to be hateful and ignorant.

9:16AM said...

Kapunua, more people than can be counted, prefer others to think and decide for them. Bands, actors, politicians, they are simply convenient for the people who chose to remain ignorant and lazy. I don't entirely fault the bands, etc. that get roped into this. I'm sorry for them and it does make me uncomfortable to think of art being taken in this way. But common sense should make the bands, etc. aware that some kinds of people will hang on and take too seriously, every word they say, every action they do and use it all to behave and think as they wish, as they now have someone to blame for it.

To my mother, Silvia? ;D

S.I.A., you are amazingly well spoken on your new opinion. I find it comforting that there are people who think and feel the way I do about this; I couldn't word it better. I'm sorry your little brother went through that. I hope he found someone else to admire. Someone worthy.

9:16AM said...

Ah, might have been Silvia who's brother was treated poorly. Excuse my mixup!

MSI has always been the codpiece of the music world. It's just, they used to be obscure.

Then came along Mr I love my wife and you know the rest...

Oh dear, I better clear this up. I'm not that poor girl who's brother was mistreated. That was terrible.

This is Rose. SheIsAnarchy003 is my Twitter name and also used in one of my gmail accounts so that is why I signed in with it. (I honestly couldn't remember the other one)

Sorry for the mix up. I feel like maybe I should've said that in the beginning. Sorry about that, I should have thought about that first.

Anonymous said...

Oh I should also say, I forgot that the link someone posted to my MSI article had my real name attached but maybe the one i copied and pasted didn't...i don't know. But anyroad, someone was trying to make some kind of silly point that i mentioned enjoying an MSI show and then um, what...3 years later I made a comment that I thought they were rude and ridiculous...and I just wanted to show that I stand by my article and that people change. I kind of know who posted it. but yeah...sorry for the mix up, I feel kind of silly for not noticing. R

Posted on twitter by Lindsey.

"Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, the art show date and venue have changed. More info coming soon!"

Anonymous said...

Oh now this should be fun to watch as they scramble to change flights and plans. All the fangirls will be losing it now.

Anonymous said...

And she told all the ones who made travel plans to contact her. WTF? Is she going to refund their money?

Anonymous said...

Maybe she'll send them an autographed picture of Gerard or a meet and greet pass for a show on MCR's next tour.

Anonymous said...

Maybe they'll stay at her house!

Anonymous said...

I think Lynz is handling the show change in a nice way. Shit happens. Dates and venues change. She could have said the show date changed too bad to those of you flying out.

Anonymous said...

Lindsey obviously realizes that those following her on twitter are mainly teenage MCR fans. If they have spent money and booked accommodation then that's gonna fuck them up a bit. It must be a bit of a stress out for her and Jessicka.

Anonymous said...

I suppose if she feels the need to take on the stress of some fangirls who are going way out of their way just to go to an art opening, she must be an amazing person! Or maybe she just wants to hang on to what she's got left in fans...it all brings a tear to my eye to watch how they are handling it. Such sweethearts.

Anonymous said...

It seems they are going to take care of the kids who are coming in. That is uncharacteristic of both of them.

Anonymous said...

Dates change? Perhaps they got picked up by an actual gallery not an "art" cafe? I think they are dealing with it fairly well. I'm surprised.

That was an excellent PSA...kind of upsetting but makes it's point. Thanks for point us in that direction.

Reality is harsh for so many people, which is why I don't understand why so many people spend so much time hating. We need more love.

Of course I'm as guilty as anyone for being a dick sometimes but seriously...I'm not a monster and anyone who is afraid to approach me on an issue (as I've been told recently) is being silly.

Now please...can we discuss something more interesting than me and my dislike of MSI? Ugh...boring.

(i know, no one has brought it up again here...i'm just venting from an earlier twitter incident)

you guys are swell! ;)

i dont think she has any intention on compensating them.

sounds like she just wants to smooth things over personally.

at best theyll get a personal apology and maybe some msi merch.

the roid has no legal grounds to give them mcr compensation as they are currently not on a warner label thus entirely unconnected.

nope. the other anon called it. the roid just wants to salvage as much of her remaining fans as possible.

this whole thing makes a mockery of real artists. real artist know you can cancel shit less than three weeks before the show.

no respect for that woman. at all.

The Left Rights "Bad Choices Made Easy" Out November 9th!!

You've been waiting for years, but the wait is near an end as soon you'll have fucked up new music from Mindless Self Indulgence's Jimmy Urine and Steve, Righ? ! Jimmy and Steve, return with their notoriously twisted side project, The Left Rights, (along with familiar friends) to present "Bad Choices Made Easy" (Out in North America on November 9th). This album will feature no less than 41 new tracks! Holy Shit!!! Be sure to add the following pages to be the first to get info on pre-orders, album art, song titles, contests, hear clips & more:

Wonder who their "familiar friends" are? Some of them wouldn't be happened to be called G Way or F Iero, huh?

Anonymous said...

Eh, I'm not that sour about the whole art show thing. I think it is good that Lynz is trying to make good. Some of those fans are flying cross country or from over seas. I figured it would be more in her nature to just say, "fuck you" or "suck it" I didn't ask you to fly to LA. I'd be the first to demonize her but I actually think it is fine the way it is being handled. Art show schedules change all the time especially if you get picked up by a real gallery and not a cafe.

Hmmm I could've sworn I posted a reply this morning...anyroad, it's all good. I was just defending my MSI article and making the point that everyone changes. I don't have to like the same music or approve of the same things forever. We all evolve (or at least I hope so) and I don't hate MSI or anyone for that matter, just dislike certain things people say or do. I don't like hate and violence so that's all. Yes, I did interview Eliza, I don't know her though. I don't believe everything I read on Twitter. You have to be selective about what you choose to believe as the truth and what might just be someone trying to find something out or get some information. But if anyone wants to think of me as a FANATIC I can't stop you. I can't make everyone happy, I'm just grateful to those who do like what I do and who are in my life. I still think you guys are pretty swell for having your say here. Keep on being yourselves. Thanks.

Anonymous said...

That's probably why they think they can throw stupid songs together with titles like Na Na Na Na and lyrics like the ones from Death Before Disco. Why go to all the trouble of coming up with anything intelligent or insightful when your fans will just eat up whatever crap you throw at them? Besides, with the fanbase they currently have, it's not like they're going to attract a different kind of fan. The fascists scare the sane ones away.

Not the same anon, but when bands I like put out new music, I usually listen to it, decide if I like it and then go out and buy it. Then I keep an eye out to see if the band is going to be playing near me. If they are, I go. I don't start shaking and crying or jumping up and down or anything like that.

It must not sell well without promotion. I mean without all the drama.

They don't even twitter about their new stuff. No advertising. The bands you listen to don't have an official website where their fans gather. Nobody trying to generate interest in their new music.

Poor bands you listen to are getting fucked.

The bands you listen to should fire their management and promo team.

New album, new house, new baby?

Yes, and I also heard they have a new pet. It's a space alien that crashed into Gerard's yard last week.

Anonymous said...

Lol. MCR fans are so gullible, they'll probably believe that space alien story. Just like the new house, new baby bullshit.

By the way, records get released on Tuesdays. Maybe they'll have a single out in a few days, but I doubt we'll see the record for another month or so and this stupid thing on their website is probably just to announce the name of the album. So no, it's not getting released on their anniversary.

Anonymous said...

Not bitching, just saying, wonder why it's Tuesday in US?

It's quite logical, actually.

Albums are released on Tuesdays because Billboard (who compiles sales figures in the US) releases the sales figures on Mondays. The Billboard charts are determined according to weekly sales. Thus, in order to maximize their sales potential, albums have to be released immediately after the posting of the previous week's sales figures.

Anonymous said...

I hope fans aren't expecting this website thing to signify that the new record is coming in the next few days. MCR has a tendency to drag these things out forever. Remember the flatline on The Black Parade site? And they teased fans for months about The Black Parade.

If anybody is watching their website and hitting the refresh button over and over, I think they're going to be doing that for a while.

And lol at the troll who keeps saying that Gerard and Lindsey are expecting again.

35 soon. She better hurry up and get on with it.

You're kidding, right? You do know that not every family wants to have 2.3 children. Maybe they want Bandit to be an only child. Plus, many women are having children into their forties now. It's not the 1950's anymore.

Anonymous said...

It's a fallacy that it's easy to get pregnant in your forties. People in the fifties were having children in their forties because they were having their third or fourth child. Besides how old do you expect to be when they turn twenty, sixty five or seventy? More like their grandma. I have to agree with one of the earlier anons that it's best she has the next one now if she has one. I think Gerard would want a sibling for Bandit seeing his relationship with his brother.

Anonymous said...

Thirty-five is half of seventy so technically you've just started middle-age.

Anonymous said...

You're kidding, right? You do know that not every family wants to have 2.3 children. Maybe they want Bandit to be an only child.

Yeah, doesn't the Roid "make her own rules"? I don't see them catering to any standard that is set for the average American family.

Anonymous said...

Thirty-five is half of seventy so technically you've just started middle-age.

The average life expectancy keeps going up. 35 isn't middle-aged anymore.

Anonymous said...

Thirty-five is half of seventy so technically you've just started middle-age.

Lol, then Gerard will be 'middle-aged' in a year and a bit.

Anonymous said...

The average age is still around the seventy mark.

Anonymous said...

No, actually the average life expectancy has gone up to around 79.5. And for people who are in their 30's now, it's expected to go up even further.

So according to your logic, people don't hit middle age until right before 40.

Anonymous said...

^Whoops. 78.5.

Anonymous said...

77.5 for healthy people and a woman's fertility has always stayed the same no matter the age expectancy and it decreases sharply at around 35.

Anonymous said...

What makes you so certain that Gerard and Lindsey want another child? What are you basing this on? Your parents? The people you know? You can't possibly know what they want or expect from their family life.

I think this is a pointless discussion.

Anonymous said...

In the United States -- where Gerard and Lindsey live -- current life expectancy is 78.4902.

And so what about fertility. I know lots of women who got pregnant past 35. And famous people can usually afford expensive fertility treatments. They do it all the time.

Also, I agree that Gerard and Lindsey aren't your average couple from down the street. They'd be less likely to follow what everybody else is doing. You can't make generalizations and say, "Oh she's almost 35 so she'll have to have a baby soon." How insulting.

I find it funny that a person who probably "forgot" to take her daily pill would draw the line at one child.

Anonymous said...

They'd be less likely to follow what everybody else is doing.

Lol what a joke that is, she does precisely what everyone else does and aspires to be just like them. Case in point: her designer handbags.

Anonymous said...

I think it's hilarious that you consider them to be such "rule breakers". Why marry? That's so traditional.

Anonymous said...

Also, I agree that Gerard and Lindsey aren't your average couple from down the street.

Apart from all her tatts, which are very common place nowadays, I'd say they're very average.

And famous people can usually afford expensive fertility treatments. They do it all the time.

Expensive fertility treatments do not necessarily mean successful pregnancy. There is a high failure rate that you don't hear about.

Anonymous said...

I do agree that this Baby Watch thing is insulting and embarrassing. MCR fans have subjected Lindsey, Alicia and Jamia and even Eliza to that for years and it must get tiresome.

I can't stand Lindsey or any of the members of MCR, but even I feel kind of sorry for them with how their fans go on about the possibility of them procreating.

The decision to have a baby is a private one and it should be left to the couple in question, not a bunch of fangirls who decide when its the "right time".

Anonymous said...

I think it's hilarious that you consider them to be such "rule breakers". Why marry? That's so traditional.

And that gives you the right to make sweeping generalizations about their personal life?

Just because they married doesn't mean they are going to have two children. It wouldn't surprise me if they did, but I stopped being surprised by anything these people do a long time ago.

Who cares if they have another baby? Sheesh.

Anonymous said...

Fangirls aren't the ones "deciding" when they should be having a baby they are only talking about it. Isn't that what all fangirls do? Lol its the husbands who make the final decision for them.

Anonymous said...

And that gives you the right to make sweeping generalizations about their personal life?

How exactly is that a sweeping generalization when marriage is considered one of the oldest traditions? It ruffled your feathers to consider they are not the rebels you originally thought they were.

Anonymous said...

It wouldn't surprise me if they did, but I stopped being surprised by anything these people do a long time ago.

There is nothing to be surprised about them they are just two traditionalists in punk suits.

Anonymous said...

How exactly is that a sweeping generalization when marriage is considered one of the oldest traditions?

It's a generalization because you are implying that everyone should follow said traditions. Not everyone does.

What about gays, people who choose to remain childless and people who only want one child? Just because a couple gets married and has one child it does not automatically follow that they'll have another.

I don't like Gerard and Lindsey. I don't think they're big "rebels" or anything of the sort. I just think they're a couple of idiots who are mucking along like the rest of us. But however I feel about them, I do recognize that they are individuals and I think it's rude to make assumptions about their family life or what they want out of it.

Anonymous said...

It's no point talking to them about it. They are probably young and can't understand what an invasion of privacy all this business is.

Just ignore and let them fantasize about ZOMG, CUTE GER-ZEE BABEES!

Anonymous said...

It's a generalization because you are implying that everyone should follow said traditions. Not everyone does.

They did, so you would assume they would follow another. It's a normal sequence.

I think it's rude to make assumptions about their family life or what they want out of it.

Can't see what's so rude about it. It's not like we are tweeting them with our assumptions or expectations, we're only discussing things. Here. And that's what everyone does on this blog, assume things. Don't they?

"Invasion of privacy"

LOL

When the zoid has another baby soon I thought Elmo would be a cute name. Elmo or Elma Way.

i agree they're about as punk as the jobros. i also don't give a pig's ass whether they have more babies or not.

Lol, and you just outed yourself as one of those trolls who comes here to try and make it look like we're obsessed with the band's personal life. Good job.

It's been pretty much established a long time ago that most of the regulars here don't care whether Gerard and Lindsey have more babies or not.

Anonymous said...

Not true, they want them to have lots of babies because they secretly want Gerard to be happily married to Lindsey.

Anonymous said...

Lol, and you just outed yourself as one of those trolls who comes here to try and make it look like we're obsessed with the band's personal life.

Lol anon Gerard did that all by himself when he wanted the world to know all about his personal life.

Anonymous said...

If the dope has written a whole album about Lindsey then he wants everyone to be interested in his personal life.

Anonymous said...

Gerard might think the whole world is interested in his personal life, but they really aren't.

Anonymous said...

If the dope has written a whole album about Lindsey then he wants everyone to be interested in his personal life.

You know it's about Lindsey how?

Anonymous said...

Why is everyone talking about Gerard having a baby when Frank just had twins?

Anonymous said...

Nobody cares.

Or Emma Way?

Or Emma Paulette Way as a tribute to Eliza's wonderful writing. LOL.

Anonymous said...

Or Zoida Way after her amazing mommy.

Anonymous said...

Urano James Way for a boy after his bff Jimmy Urine and Mikey.

Anonymous said...

MCR seem to be doing a something very Gibsonesque.

Anonymous said...

I hope Frank has given his children names that they can grow into with some sense of dignity. Not something like Turkey and On Wholemeal.

Anonymous said...

It's funny that all the Roid and MCR fanclones can overlook the use of racial slurs and joke after joke about violence against women, but get so fucking mad at Brian when he says he doesn't like France over twitter.

And FYI, no one is 'entitled' to a US Visa. Unless you are part of the wavier program, you need to prove to the correct authorities that you satisfy their conditions of entry. It's not Xenophobic; it's there to protect US citizens. Ranting to an American about how America sucks (because it enforces stricter rules post 9/11) is idiotic, and even more so when you only want said Visa to stalk Gerard Way's wife.

dstarpro on twitter.

Round 2 today ?

Who's team anarchy and who's team star?

Getcha tshirts here.

Anonymous said...

Dstarpro needs to take a long walk off a short pier, along with her Lindsay-stalker friends.

Anonymous said...

The design on the back of team anarchy shirts is a rose with the word petulance printed over it.

The team star shirt features a star with the letter d in the center of it and the word pro printed over it.

Anonymous said...

Dstarpro would be rescued fast.

Her shirts are outselling team anarchy 4 to 1.

A petulant anarchist shouldn't count on loyalty in a stateless society.

Anonymous said...

'Word hurt'.

Yep, just like the word N*GGER hurts. Funny how Karma comes around for you, Frankwives!

Anonymous said...

Brian Schechter gets free tshirts for unknowingly being in the middle of the fight.

Anonymous said...

He needs to sew one half of each together and remain impatial.

Anonymous said...

Good idea. Or I'll make special pro star of anarchy ones for him.

Anonymous said...

Dstarpro is not one to be trusted.

Anonymous said...

dstarpro is the one who'd rather blame victims of misogynistic assault than find fault with the ones who mock it. She's trash, which only makes her and her friend's criticism of Brian even more hilarious.

Anonymous said...

Anon I would never call her trash, no one is trash, I would call her behavior ignorant.

Anonymous said...

Dr Death Defying? What a wank.

Next there's gonna be Master and Blaster

Anonymous said...

Oh man, the Frank fans really outdid themselves last night. Talk about hypocricy! So it's okay for Frank to be nasty and call people names, but when you attack Brian regarding his views on American Visa politics over twitter, and he calls you names because you're acting like jerks? That's TERRIBLE.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Brian was being a bit of a self-righteous prick.

Anonymous said...

Maybe everyone was being a prick and instead of crying about how *shaken* they are by his words, they should think about how to act less like entitled, bratish children.

Anonymous said...

And so what was Frank being when he tried to justify using the N word, 6:18? Y'all seemed to give him the benefit of the doubt on that little occasion.

Anonymous said...

Who cares about what happened on a bunch of nobodies' twitters? Jeez, but some people have too much time on their hands.

6:18 said...

Frank was behaving like a childish offense idiot who should know better 6:39.

Anonymous said...

From what I can see, 'nathy' got all pissy with Brian first because she's upset over her visa status, and when she didn't like his views on immigration, she started going crazy and calling him a racist.

Anonymous said...

I've been to France. France sucks. Beautiful countryside. Shitty people.

Brian knows what he was talking about.

Anonymous said...

I suppose it would have been okay if Brian had told her that her mom should've sat on a coat hanger before she was born.

Anonymous said...

I think Brian's statement about 'France being the problem' was relating to their politics of removing religious freedom (banning Muslim women from wearing their traditional Hijab). And to be fair, he's got a right to say he doesn't like a country, its food, its language. He's a well-travelled man.

I dislike the French too, but then I'm British, so it's a sort of inbuilt standard.

Anonymous said...

How did Brian get involved in the first place?

Anonymous said...

The French can come across as arrogant. They are very proud of their culture, much like Americans.

Anonymous said...

He made a tweet about France being backward re; Religious freedom, and a girl who's trying to get a Visa to stalk Lyn-Z's art show got upset with him because she thinks America sucks for making her jump through immigration hoops. He was quite blunt with her about why the rules are there for a reason, and if she didn't like it she could just not visit. I think he said his wife had to wait 14 months to get her paperwork sorted to move and live with him, so in short, shit happens, quit being so entitled. Then all the fangirl's friends descended on Brian calling him a racist.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, and then the ruder they got, the ruder he got back, and it turned into kind of a clusterfuck. Now all the Lyn-Z stalkers hate him, but claimed they hated him anyway because he was snarky about MCR when Bob left. Which begs the question, why follow the dude in the first place, but logic never was these girl's strong point.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Brian would care so much. He probably has had enough of MCR and their fans.

Anonymous said...

The French can come across as arrogant. They are very proud of their culture, much like Americans.

This is very true.

But if you're an American, the French are absolutely horrible to you when you're in France.

Anonymous said...

Seems like they follow anyone who has a connection to the band.

Anonymous said...

I actually found it positive that he apologized to the one girl he was very rude too, because I thought he went a bit far there, and I'm glad he understands that. But that crazy fruit loop Nathy doesn't deserve one. She's nuts and I hope she doesn't get her Visa, because she clearly has zero respect for the system.

Anonymous said...

But if you're an American, the French are absolutely horrible to you when you're in France.

They're horrible to anyone, not just Americans. I think Americans in general get surprised when it happens to them.

Lynn said...

@SheIsAnarchy003 He pissed me off because he hurt MY friends, who are supposed to be YOUR friends, you hateful bitch.

I thought Dstarpro was against women on women hate. They only reason she is so quick to jump on Rose is because Rose expressed that she is nor a fan of MCR and you all know how that goes over in their MCR world. LOL! She is the same one who came in here and said there was no reason for us to call names.

Anonymous said...

I wonder what it must be like to base your value system, morals, and thoughts and opinions solely on what MCR say, think, and do? How sad. Dstarpro really is a jerk.

Anonymous said...

They're horrible to anyone, not just Americans. I think Americans in general get surprised when it happens to them.

No, not really. Americans know before-hand that the French will be rude to them because they've heard stories from other people. But I do think they are surprised at just howrude the French can be.

Americans can be rude as well, but a lot depends on the region or even the city where you are visiting. The U.S. is so huge that I don't think a lot of Europeans understand the drastic cultural differences that can exist from region to region.

Also, not all Americans are maniacally patriotic. Many of us are very critical of our own government.

Anonymous said...

I don't think she does, I think she wants to appear that way. It might get her closer to the band.

Lynn said...

It doesn't make sense. Getting mad at Brian over his stance on getting a visa and laughing about Frank's wire hanger comment. I bet Brian he is glad he is out of all that mess.

Anonymous said...

Oh yeah the French can be very disrespectful, especially of people from english cultures but I do think that relates to the history of France and it's past relationship with England so it's fairly ingrained.

Anonymous said...

Also, not all Americans are maniacally patriotic

So you would have no problem with handing Natty a visa without her going through the usual channels.

Would you change the rules and regulations concerning handing out visas for all foreign countries or just France?

As Brian said the rules and laws are there for a reason.

Anonymous said...

Tougher rules and laws since 9/11.
