I believe this blog is more about the people here who come to chat than it is about some stupid sexist band. But, I like the fact that there is a place for everyone to vent about these particular sexists bands, as well as other issues that might be on your mind. I think this blog has grown a lot.
In the past few months we've seen another celebrity lose it and start screaming racist and sexist things (Mel Gibson) and there was some discussion about that too. I personally don't see too much of a difference between Mel Gibson screaming the N word and talking about rape and "bitches" MSI screaming the N word and talking about rape and "bitches". Hate speech is hate speech. Except Mel Gibson seriously wants to hurt people and MSI just seem to think it's funny. It still creates an atmosphere that welcomes hate and violence towards women, by laughing about it and thinking it's so funny.
One thing I want to say here is that I believe the regulars here are too smart to honestly believe that Gerard Way's hair color or other random things has anything to do with pregnancy. I see a lot of trolls coming in pretending to be "someone from VVs" and putting forward these ridiculous theories. I think they're trying to make people here look like they are illogical.
And I know that many people here have spoken out against calling them "fat" or "ugly". So many of you have posted over and over again how you don't care about that. You call people out on their behavior, and things they can help, things they do on purpose..... not how they look. That's what I like about this place.
But from what I can see a lot of the trolls keep bringing those things up, trying to reduce this blog to their level. I said it before and I'm saying it again. The regulars here are not like that and probably know what you're up to.
If you don't like it here, that's fine, you can stay at all your other blogs. Or you can enter into an intelligent conversation. But if all you have to offer is "LOL hair color = pregnancy" or "LOL that woman is FAT" then just know, officially, this blog doesn't welcome that and neither do the regulars.

«Oldest ‹Older 601 – 800 of 1384 Newer› Newest»Ya know if Gerard's new album tanks, and his comics don't sell anymore, he can always find a new job. He could become a chef, write a book and do a live tour circuit. Now that's where the money is, and they get treated like rock stars by adoring fans. So he won't miss out on anything.
Maybe Gerard can weasel a spot on X-Factor or American Idol as a judge.
Or maybe he can get a gig on the American version of Top Gear. Those guys on the British version make the big bucks.

Bite your tongue! Besides, the American version of that show is going to suck so hard. You just can't replace Clarkson, Hammond and May. ;)
Yes, fliptext is pretty fun!

Hi Kapunua. My sister's been researching Essiac tea. Thanks for that:)
10:26 Surely you mean, Jezza, the Hamster and Captain Slow:)
Of course! Love those guys.
Welshie, I'm so glad!
ALSO, please have her take a look at CoQ10, or Ubiquinol. Researchers are looking into those currently, and finding amazing results.
Uhhh 612.
Okey dokey Kapunua, I'll pass the info on.
Thanks:)

Hey, Arthur/Eames anon, do you still want a link to that adorable and hilarious drawing I was telling you about? :) Lemme know.

Yep, he can be their hawaiian correspondent ;)
Frank also shows promise as a professional wrestler ;)
what Billy Corgan says about La Gaga
Gerard Way in no way has anything to do with Hawai'i or Hawaiians or the Hawaiian culture. He wore a stupid print shirt that couldn't even be counted as an Aloha shirt - because he's the farthest thing you can get from "aloha." He's such a ha'ole, even other haoles are ashamed.
Just being clear on that. :)
I think Lady Gaga has shown that people really do want someone to look up to in terms of their ideals right now. Lady G's beliefs and the fact that she's so outspoken about them is one of the main reasons she's so popular.
I guess Geetard and Co. picked a really bad time to hook up with MSI, aka the anti-message band, and then drop their own message. Kinds sucks for them doesn't it?
Just emerged from studio bender to hear we won two teen choice awards. Thank you for believing in me little monsters! I'm your hooker. X about 11 hours ago via web

What do you think about her clothes? Fishnet and boots.
She's doing more than flashing her panties.
What would be said about LynZ if she wore this on stage
If all Gaga could do was flash her panties, you would have a point.
Lindsey's sole purpose in MSI is to flash her panties. She doesn't contribute in any other way.
I am personally not a fan of Lady Gaga, although I do respect her stance on gay rights.
I don't care for her outfit in the picture you posted, anon, but as usual, you miss the point here.
We don't dislike Lindsey because she shows her panties. We dislike her because that's all she really can do onstage with MSI. She's admitted that she's not a musician. She doesn't sing and she can't really play her instrument. And she certainly never took any kind of stand about any social issue, unless you want to count her lulzy "Don't call me Mrs. Blah-Blah" bullshit in Kerrang.
So flashing your panties and appearing mostly nude onstage doesn't set feminism back 40 years if you have other talents?
It's alright to be a skank as long as you contribute more than your body and the use of sexuality.
I figured.
Like I said before, I don't like the outfit Lady Gaga is wearing in that picture. I am not a Lady Gaga fan.
I'm just saying that you cannot compare Lady Gaga and Lindsey on any level.
Lady Gaga has talent. She makes her own way in the world. Lindsey does not.
I'm just saying that you cannot compare Lady Gaga and Lindsey on any level.
Exactly. If you go back and read the comments, I think you'll see that this discussion started out comparing MCR to Lady Gaga, not Lindsey to Lady Gaga.
Lindsey really isn't terribly relevant after all.
It's alright to be a skank as long as you contribute more than your body and the use of sexuality.
Wow. What kind of feminism is that? I thought Lindsey's supporters where against girl on girl hate?
Arthur/Eames.
I found this hilarious and adorable. ^_^
Nice. ^_^
Thanks, Kapunua. Makes me want to go see the movie again. Nobody wears a suit like JGL, and TH is just, well, you know. ;)
Oh, and I have to tell you, I watched Mysterious Skin last night. Have you seen that? It was disturbing and a little bit difficult to watch, and I have to admit that many of the characterizations were clichéd, but it's totally worth watching just for JGL's performance. He was astonishing. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. I would definitely recommend reading a synopsis of the story first because of the sensitive content though.
Anyway, thanks again for the link. :)
Eep! Redundant "though". I hate when I do that. :/
The suit did it for me, too. And the smirk, as we discussed. :)
I haven't even heard of that movie; maybe I'll go look it up. Thanks!

Wow. What kind of feminism is that? I thought Lindsey's supporters where against girl on girl hate?
Not surprised. Lindsey supporters are "feminists" when it suits them. Like the woman herself.
I don't think Gaga is trying to project a sexual image, as in a look at me I'm so hawt kinda of way like some who backbend and wear school girl clothing.
I just think Gaga is being realistic. In today's Pop music world where the people you are competing with are the likes of Katy Perry, Brittney, Rhianna, Beyonce, etc., it's already pretty much a given that the women of that genre are expected to dress provocatively, less they be either ignored or painted with the "wholesome" brush (i.e. Taylor Swift and all those little Disney girls). I don't really care for Gaga's image nor her music, but there is no denying that the woman does at least have talent to back it up. She's an accomplished musician and she has a good singing voice.
I prefer women like Alison Mosshart and Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) myself, but I'm not going to criticize Gaga. She has found a formula that works for her and at least she's not telling little girls that all they have to do to succeed in music is to go out in a skimpy costume and lip sync and pretend to play piano to a backing track.
I think Lady G is just the kind of person who is comfortable with her body and doesn't have hang-ups about showing it. I don't think she's trying to be oh-so-sexual or anything. She just likes to be outrageous whether that means wearing a Kermit the Frog outfit or a fishnet bodysuit. I saw her on that award show holding her own with Elton John and whether you like her music or not you can't deny that she's talented.
^Also, she's not hiding behind some buffoon like Jimmy Pissface who is spouting out obscenities and lighting his pubes on fire.
I watched Mysterious Skin last night. Have you seen that? It was disturbing and a little bit difficult to watch, and I have to admit that many of the characterizations were clichéd, but it's totally worth watching just for JGL's performance. He was astonishing.
I've seen Mysterious Skin and I thought it was amazing. I didn't think the main characters came off as cliche at all, but I can see where you might say that the parents were your typical clueless morons that you always see in films.
I thougt the child actors were great and so was the actor who played 18 year old Brian. Of course JGL was flawless, but so was the actress who played the "kidnapped by aliens" girl.
I agree the subject matter was very sensitive and some people might find it too disturbing but overall I think it is one of the best films ever done on the subject.
Just my 2 cents. :)
Jeez. I know we're supposed to be able to talk about anything here but the movie posts are really annoying. I don't even know who the fuck Jeff Portnoy or JGL are. Can't you take it to imdb or Snooty Bitch's lj or something? My scrolling finger gets achy.
"Can't you take it to imdb or Snooty Bitch's lj or something?"
But then nobody else would read it and see how ~intelligent and ~cultured she is with her ~encyclopedic knowledge of ~film~.
Lol, you so totally tell that she's probably having a conversation with herself about these ~films.
I don't even know who the fuck Jeff Portnoy or JGL are.
I'm sorry for you. Must get lonely living under that rock.
I like talking movies sometimes but I don't know who "snooty bitch is or where her LJ is. LOL. Sorry if you dont' like it but VV did say we could talk about whatever.
I've seen Mysterious Skin and I thought it was a very provocative film which explores some intense scenarios.
MSI and MCR would benefit from seeing these subjects handled realistically instead of turning it into a joke to sell records.
Jeez. I know we're supposed to be able to talk about anything here but the movie posts are really annoying. I don't even know who the fuck Jeff Portnoy or JGL are
Talk about being a snotty bitch. I don't know some of these movies either, but it doesn't annoy me like it does you. I think perhaps it is the person that post them instead of the actual posts. How do you deal with people in real life that you don't like? Anger like that can lead to a stroke.
I think perhaps it is the person that post them instead of the actual posts.
I think you've hit that nail right on the head, Lynn. I can't believe that people still follow her around just to insult everything she says.
I think maybe they should go to the movies once in a while instead of obsessing so much over every little thing she does.
I've seen Mysterious Skin and I thought it was a very provocative film which explores some intense scenarios.
MSI and MCR would benefit from seeing these subjects handled realistically instead of turning it into a joke to sell records.
Mte.
They're pissed because they can't take shots at her where Mayo can see anymore so now they come here.
Why is that place always brought up here? Mayo è finito.
I've seen Mysterious Skin and I thought it was a very provocative film which explores some intense scenarios.
I would recommend L.I.E. which covers a similar theme.
But does Lynz have sex with Jessicka?
I have to agree with anon(s) stating that when it comes to using her body Lady Gaga is in no way different than Lindsey.
It's not about who has talent and who's not, it's about women being objectified or even objectifying themselves to draw attention to themselves and the product they're trying to sell, which in no means helps the cause of women finally being judged for what they do and not how they look.
I also think that Gaga is even worse than Lindsey. Lindsey, as a woman without any musical talent whatsoever, doesn't seem to have a choice but to show her crotch to the audience and skip about on stage wearing school girl uniforms and pigtails to distract from her faux bass playing.
Lady Gaga, on the other hand, has the talent to refrain from such cheap marketing ploys.
If you have a good singing voice, can play at least one instrument and are able to write decent pop songs, then you should be able to keep your tits in your shirt and only let your talent talk.
Lady Gaga, on the other hand, has the talent to refrain from such cheap marketing ploys.
I don't think it's a cheap marketing ploy, she is intentionally out to challenge and shock. This is a woman firmly in control of her image. Like Madonna.
On the other hand Lindsey was doing her same routine for years and was never noticed until the name Way was attached to her name.
In an alternate reality, if she was never married to him, she would have continued with her back bending routine and most people apart from MSI fans, would have been clueless to who she was.
So what I am trying to say is solely relying on your sexuality to titillate your audience does not necessarily equal success in the music industry. Virtually everyone plays that cord now. So that makes Lindsey a follower and by no means unique.
Since when has showing your private parts been challenging and shocking anyway? Just because Lady Gaga does it now, too - like all the dumb cows before her - it is suddenly unique, artsy fartsy and makes people challenge something?
It only challenges my food to keep down in my stomach.
You haven't seen her intermission video have you? Not recommended for your sensitive stomach.
I'm not saying she makes people challenge something, she just challenges some people's notions of what to expect in a performance. That's where her controversy lies. Nothing too deep. That's my opinion anyway.
I don't really see where Lady G is so unique. Madonna did it all before in a time when it was far more shocking.
Art by LynZ?

Nah, Madonna just flaunted her naked bits, Gaga uses blood and vomit.
The new merch posted by 7:05 looks like MSI artwork on an MCR t-shirt.

Come on, Siobhan. Women in the entertainment industry, whether they are actresses or musicians, have always gone to great lengths to draw attention to the way they look, and they have been as long as the entertainment industry has existed.
Men do it too. Elvis Presley marketed himself based on his sexuality way back in the 50's. The Beatles were maybe not as overtly sexual, but they knew they were making girls swoon with their cute bowl haircuts and matching suits. Mick Jagger was always overtly sexual onstage. Bowie marketed sexuality. Even Geetard has tried it (and failed, imo). Look at some concert photos of Jared Leto. He loves to be onstage shirtless and girls love seeing it.
I remember going to see Soundgarden back in the 90's and two songs in, Chris Cornell ripped of his shirt and about half the females in the audience nearly fainted. And you know what? Nobody ever accused Chris of being a no-talent slut who was trying to get by on his looks.
What Lady Gaga is doing is not much different than what Madonna was doing 25 years ago.
I'm not Lady Gaga's biggest fan. I don't really care for her music at all, but I do respect the fact that she stands up and is very vocal for what she believes in -- much the same way that people used to respect MCR in the beginning.
Lindsey never stood for anything. Lindsey has no talent. Now her husband and his band don't stand for anything either. I think that's the point the Lady Gaga comments have been trying to make.
*ripped off his shirt

FUCK THAT TSHIRT SUCKS.
I'll bet the title of the new album will be "Lindsey forever".

I agree GW was terrible at it, would explain why 13 year olds find him hot.

Exactly. That's because Chris was dripping in both sexuality and talent.
The notion that it's okay for male entertainers to be sexual but that females should remain prim and proper and rely solely on their talent is antiquated as hell. It totally flies in the face of feminism.
I agree GW was terrible at it, would explain why 13 year olds find him hot.
LOL! So true.
Zombie bunnies will be next.
Attack of the giant, killer squid! This "Galactic Destroyer" is battling spaceships while strangling a planet-sized eyeball. A band logo completes this rockin' retro sci-fi look.
How juvenile.
do u guys think the Zoid has sex w/ jessicka?
Who cares? That's none of our concern.

All double standards do. Including the double standards most of you apply to LynZ, Gerard and MCR.
If you don't have a problem when Gaga, Madonna, Leto, Cornell, etc use sexuality or stage gimmicks to draw more attention to themselves than you shouldn't have a problem when LynZ, MSI and Mcr do the same.
I think that was Siobhan's point.
People had a problem with Lindsey claiming to be a "role model" for young girls. They had a problem with her telling them they didn't need talent to make it in rock music. They had a problem with her having nothing more to offer than backbends and panty shots and encouraging young girls to do the same thing.
I think Siobhan and some of our trolls are the only people who have a problem with performers being overtly sexual onstage (with the exception of Gerard's "moan for me" shtick, which went agains everything he ever claimed to stand for in the past).
If you don't have a problem when Gaga, Madonna, Leto, Cornell, etc use sexuality or stage gimmicks to draw more attention to themselves than you shouldn't have a problem when LynZ, MSI and Mcr do the same.
Wrong.
When Gaga, Madonna, Leto, Cornell, etc., do those things, they are drawing attention to themselves as musicians. Lindsey is just doing the equivalent of a pole dance on a rock stage. Not quite the same thing.
How is Gaga being "overtly sexual" on stage? She is actually fully clothed and undergoes many costume changes while performing.
Her music videos and public appearances are the ones she deliberately appears to be controversial in. On stage she is actually restrained and it's more about her music and her message to her fans to celebrate their uniqueness, the "monster" within them.
The zoid and MSI don't have anything to say so they resort to stunts with pubic hair and backbending and crotch flashing.
I recall Gerard was doing his "sexy" routine while trying to give a positive message and I don't think anyone complained about that. At least they could also belt out a tune at one stage.
and then i think….maybe lady gaga can be like a gateway drug to the teenagers of the world…through her they may find a voice, a liberation, a david bowie record.
most importantly, a PERMISSION. i imagine a totally isolated and confused kid in the outskirts of suburban nevada who has never seen life outside of a shopping mall seeing gaga doing her hijinks and thinking:
IF THIS CHICK CAN BE FAMOUS AND ACCEPTED BY THE MAINSTREAM AND DO THIS WEIRD STUFF THEN MAYBE I CAN DO ANYTHING.
this is what the world needs - artists who, no matter what their personal path may be, will inspire other people to reach deeper, try harder, be more authentic. this was the goal of my band, and i didn’t even realize it until we were well on our way and i saw what we were providing people. and we knew their stories because we met them. and they told us.
at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if anyone believes she’s “authentic” or not.
and the music may be disco pop that may not be remembered, but the MESSAGE will resonate through the delivery and possibly ignite other flames. and that will happen NOW, and NOW needs that.
From Amanda Palmer who went to see Gaga here

I think you and Siobhan have completely missed the point.
I think you and Siobhan have completely missed the point.
Agreed.
We aren't all a bunch of tight ass prudes around here who have the attitude, "ZOMG! Make that woman cover up!!1" Nudity and sexuality have their place in art (which includes films and stage shows). Nudity and sexuality don't automatically equate to pornography and aren't always exploitative, but sometimes there's a fine line which is hard to draw and I think we all have to make our own decisions.
Having said that though, I dare even Siobhan to watch Ewan McGregor in Velvet Goldmine and tell me she doesn't enjoy the hell out of his nude scenes. Question is, were they gratuitous or were they necessary to the plot of the film? I think they were an integral part of the storyline (and quite frankly, I'm thrilled they were in there for reasons of my own ^_^). Ewan McGregor is a very talented actor and he got naked onscreen to tell a story and he succeeded. I don't have a problem with his nudity in that film and the same goes with any nude scene that is tastefully done.
When it comes to Lady Gaga, I'm not a fan, but having seen her perform, I do think that her weird costumes, etc., are an integral part of her show. She's a talented musician, singer and performer who has many things to offer, including her over-the-top persona.
I don't think Lindsey offers anything to her so-called band beyond her role as eye-candy and glorified pole dancer. And I don't think JU's lyrics offer anything beyond shock value, and he's not above exploiting (tastelessly, I might add) sensitive subjects like child molestation and violence against women.
Gotta agree about Ewan.
I'm all for nudity and fun! And I personally really don't care what people wear. If they choose to make themselves sexy, or make themselves look stupid (as in the case of Lindsey and MSI,) then that's their choice.
But as I've said so many times, it's her ranting and raving that as long as you can do a backbend, get groped by 14 year olds, and get married to a rich guy, why, you really don't need talent - and claiming that this is "feminism." Especially when it comes to the lyrics her "band" plays in their "music."
lol
Yeah thanks, now I totally need to see Velvet Goldmine again.
:D
I love Ewan McGregor. He can come round to my house and undress any time he wants. ;)
Any of you Top Gear fans ever see his interview with Jeremy Clarkson? Jeremy actually asks him about his "manhood"? Lol.
*goes to see if it's up on Youtube*
Found it! He seems rather proud of his "manhood" doesn't he? I can't believe that's the first question Jeremy asks him. Lol!
So cute. You should watch this before the stupid BBC takes it down. ^_^
OH MY GOD, how adorable does he have to be, I love him. This is pretty funny!
Have you seen him on Crain Fergusen's show? Too cute.
Just so you know of course, Ewan and I have been married since 1996. Since Shallow Grave, that is. ^_^ It's a secret marriage. So secret that even he doesn't know.
I haven't seen him on Craig's show, but I will do just as soon as I can find it. :D
He always gives the best interviews.
Just so you know of course, Ewan and I have been married since 1996.
Oh man. Now I really am JUS JELLUS! ;)
Oh my. When Craig and Ewan are together, the accents just keeps getting thicker and thicker as they go along. I love it!
*keep
Anon1: Yes, you should be jellus me Ewan and I, what we have is SPESHUL and everlasting. :D
Anon2: My Mom is the biggest fan of Craig Ferguson and she always alerts me when Ewan is going to be on. I love that stupid running around thing they do. Then they both get so vulgar.
Thanks for the Top Gear/Ewan McGregor link 5:44! Two of my favoutite things together. :)
Now, to find a copy of Velvet Goldmine!
(and why haven't I seen it before?!)
favoutite? O_o
favourite. :)
Hi Kapunua and anons.
I love Ewan McGregor. He can come round to my house and undress any time he wants. ;)
He is a cutie. Kapunua has a lot of sharing to do ^_~
Gerard Butler can come to my place. I'd like him in the buff for a day,
or two,
or three...:)
I've watched Velvet Goldmine years ago, anon. Thank you very much.
And it's very interesting to see that I'm now seen as an uptight prude on here just because I don't see why bare tits belong to a musical performance.
Isn't this the typical reasoning sexists, chauvinists and misogynists in general come up with when they want to shut up women? Oh, fuck off, you uptight bitch! You should get laid more often then you wouldn't be such a fucking prude!
And I really have to laugh about all of you reassuring yourself that Gaga can do what she wants whereas the talentless Lindsey can't.
Come on, even if she could play the bass properly and even if she would be a bass virtuoso you would call her out on her panty flashing because she is Lindsey and for many people on here it is about hating her guts and not about her being a bad role model.
The thing is, we can't make up our minds as we go along. It's like saying that a pole dancer is allowed to objectify herself because she got real talent on the pole whereas the others look like idiots and apart from that the talented pole dancer also has a degree in psychology.
It's not about what we - the onlookers - think. It's about what the fans of those people think. For a fan their idol is the most talented person in the world. They don't see them as we do.
So, it is useless to say that Gaga can because she's talented and Lindsey can't because she's fake. Remember, her fans think that she's the bass princess.
They don't think Hey, I like Lyn-Z a lot!!!! But I also know that she doesn't have talent and thus I'm not allowed to imitate her crotch flashing, her way of dressing or even her lifestyle!!!
And it would be interesting to overhear a conversation with a teenage girl and her mother talking about Lady Gaga Hey, mom. I would like to go to school with only wearing my fishnet panty hose as a top and glittery stars on my nipples. Can I? Of course you can, honey, because Lady Gaga is talented. Have fun in school, darling!
Hey, mom. I would like to go to school with only wearing my fishnet panty hose as a top and glittery stars on my nipples. Can I? Of course you can, honey, because Lady Gaga is talented. Have fun in school, darling!
Siobhan you're exaggerating. Do you think this would happen in the real world? I don't. I think the conversation would be more like... mom, I'm gonna drop out of school and join a band. Doesn't matter if I suck at it, the fact that I'm playing in a band is. And one day I'm going to find a big rawksta to take care of me. If my idol Lynz Way can do it, I can too.

Yes, because I am the one who's exaggerating all the time, anon.

I think it's pretty much been established that most of us didn't care for Lady Gaga's outfit at Lollapalooza. I didn't like her Kermit the Frog outfit either. That doesn't make her a slut, skank or whore, any more than Ewan McGregor was a slut, skank or whore because he took his clothes off in Velvet Goldmine. It just means she has questionable taste in clothing.
I don't like when people call Lindsey those words either, although I think Lindsey is a no-talent idiot.
Also, most parents (the ones who have brains and give a shit about their kids) aren't going to let them go to school in a fishnet bodysuit. And if they did, the kid would undoubtedly get sent home - unless they were attending stripper's school.
At least the girls who want to become like Lady G know they'll have to have a decent singing voice and be able to play a musical instrument, unlike the ones who idolize Lindsey. They're in their rooms practicing backbends and flame-blowing - which will probably qualify them for a position in the circus, but not as a rock or pop star.
At least the girls who want to become like Lady G know they'll have to have a decent singing voice and be able to play a musical instrument, unlike the ones who idolize Lindsey.
They will also grow up knowing that it is a good thing to support causes like Gay Rights, rather than throwing around hate speech and thinking that it's funny.
Wow. I do believe Siobhan just accused all you Lindsey haters of being JUS JELLUZ!!1!
LMFAO.
What's there to be jealous about?
Come on, even if she could play the bass properly and even if she would be a bass virtuoso you would call her out on her panty flashing because she is Lindsey and for many people on here it is about hating her guts and not about her being a bad role model.
I have never once said that I "hate" Lindsey. I have no respect for her and I hate her band and everything they (don't) stand for, but for you to say that this blog is full of Lindsey haters is insulting.
Yes, we've had some people come in here who have called her a skank and worse, but myself and others have called them out on that.
For most of us, since the beginning, the bad feelings we have towards Lindsey have been about her disgusting band, her lack of talent, and the fact that she wears that lack of talent like some badge of honor - what with telling young girls she's a role model.
Yeah, we gave her grief because she flashed her panties because she was substituting panty flashing for bass playing. She doesn't label herself as MSI's panty flasher. She's supposed to be their bass player.
What's there to be jealous about?
Good question. I can't think of anything to be jealous about. She doesn't have any special talent to be envious about.
Lindsey and for many people on here it is about hating her guts and not about her being a bad role model.
You've said some choice things about her yourself Siobhan. Am I to assume you "hate her guts"?
Hahahaha look at you all turning on each other now. Siobhan is RIGHT. It is about you hating her JUST because she is LynZ and married to your idol.
We were waiting for anons just like you 7:52. Siobhan has her opinion and we have another opinion. It's not going to change my mind that Lindsey is a moron.
Why does everyone think that Gerard is such a great catch? Gerard and Lindsey are the perfect match. I hope they never divorce. I also agree with 7:57, she's stupid and so is he.
7:52 we don't deserve him so you can keep him though the zoid will fight you for him ^_^

Siobhan you wouldn't be the hair color = pregnancy anon, would you?
People here are going to have disagreements, obviously. We aren't a hive mind and that's a good thing.

Leave Adam out of this. ;-)

I assume you know the difference of an actor playing a role and a singer? What kind of reasoning is that to prove your point by using Ewan McGregor in Velvet Goldmine as an example?
And don't come with the point that Gaga is playing a role on stage too. Then I could say that Lindsey does that as well.
Still you don't seem to mind Gaga doing this whereas most of you (and I?) were outraged when Lindsey did this.
I have never once said that I "hate" Lindsey. I have no respect for her and I hate her band and everything they (don't) stand for, but for you to say that this blog is full of Lindsey haters is insulting.
I think you didn't read my post thoroughly. I said many and not all of you, so I don't know why you should feel addressed but if the shoe fits.
Yeah, we gave her grief because she flashed her panties because she was substituting panty flashing for bass playing. She doesn't label herself as MSI's panty flasher. She's supposed to be their bass player.
And Lady Gaga is supposed to sing and play the piano and not flash her crotch (and boobs) either because she really doesn't need it to sell her music, right?!
You've said some choice things about her yourself Siobhan.
Yes, I did.
Am I to assume you "hate her guts"?
I came to the conclusion that some people here might have ulterior motives when posting about Lindsey, meaning that it is not necessarily because she behaves anti-feminist but because there is something different that rubs you the wrong way with her (and not necessarily because she's married to Pepé le Pew, either). Otherwise, I can't understand the double standard that is expressed here.
I'm not defending Lindsey and her actions. She is a moron but I can't say that what she does is not good and anti-feminist and what Gaga does is cool and acceptable and an expression of her artistry just because the one has talent and the other doesn't.
Who defines which of them has enough or the right talent to get naked and which doesn't? And being talented in what exactly?
You could also claim that Lindsey was very talented in luring male fans to their shows.
And don't give me that crap with Gaga being outspoken about gay rights or whatever and thus being a super role model. We thought the same about Gerard and after a few years we realized what that was about, didn't we?
Siobhan you wouldn't be the hair color = pregnancy anon, would you?
If I want to say something I do it under my own name, anon.
I think I demonstrated that enough.
But nice try.
"What kind of reasoning is that to prove your point by using Ewan McGregor in Velvet Goldmine as an example?

"
You just contradicted yourself.
"

Just because MCR went back on their word doesn't mean that everyone will. Until Gaga starts hanging out with gay-bashers and exploiting kids then I will continue to believe that she means what she says.
You can't paint every famous person as homoohobic just because MCR turned out to be.
Siobhan your problem is that you paint everything black and white. And you leave NO room for anyone else's interpretation.
Once someone disagrees with your stance, and god forbid they stand up to your bullying words, you turn vile on them.
You can express yourself without flaming, but you always chose the low road.
Siobhan your problem is that you paint everything black and white. And you leave NO room for anyone else's interpretation.
This. A thousand times this.
One of the reasons this blog has a bad reputation out there is because people try and paint us all with the same brush. We get called 'dried up feminist prunes' and God knows what else.
Not all of us see the world in black and white. There are varying shades of grey and I think a lot of us realize that. But when you come in here and try to say that musicians should be censored by the media or that Lady Gaga should censor what she wears, you are only speaking for yourself.
What kind of reasoning is that to prove your point by using Ewan McGregor in Velvet Goldmine as an example?
What kind of reasoning is it to say that nudity is appropriate in one form of artistic media but not in another?
Honestly, Siobhan. I'm not trying to just start shit with you. It's just that your reasoning doesn't hold up.
Siohban calls people out on their double standards and hypocrisy and her opinions are mocked and bullied. It begins again.
Siohban's reasoning and fairness stands far above the rest of yours.
When will some of you recognize your own hypocrisy.
Siobhan is a bully and you are just a shit-stirrer, 12:18.
So, do you believe in censorship like Siobhan, 12:18?
Siobhan is the one being bullied by the horde for having a different opinion and for having the same set of standards for everyone.
Give me a break.
Well why don't we just make female nudity against the law? And we can make women wear Burqas and never, ever show any skin at all.
I think 12:18 is that watchdog anon from Mayo's. The one who used to side with the 'lovelies' (usually Mya, Wendy and Amy) no matter what.
And yes, she does believe in censorship.
I think 12:18 is that watchdog anon from Mayo's. The one who used to side with the 'lovelies' (usually Mya, Wendy and Amy) no matter what.
And the first 12:20 and 12:32 too. The tone is definitely the same.
Oh, the anons with the inferiority complex again. The same old story.
Since when is stating one's opinion bullying? Where the hell do I bully?
One of the reasons this blog has a bad reputation out there is because people try and paint us all with the same brush. We get called 'dried up feminist prunes' and God knows what else.
I think the reasons why people paint us all with the same brush is because many of us choose to post as anonymous.
Nothing wrong with that but don't blame it on me when people generalize just like you did, anon. Pick a name, call yourself Humpty Dumpty or whatever and then stick with it so that people who come here know who to call a 'dried up feminist prune' and who not. It's in your own hands.
And since when do we care about what the trolls think of us? Did I miss something?
You can't paint every famous person as homoohobic just because MCR turned out to be.
Show me exactly where I painted someone as homophobic?
Since what happened with MCR and their 'message' I'm not as gullible anymore as I was before.
As I said in one of my previous comments, even gays think that Gaga says all those things to suck up to the gay community so that they will buy her album.
She wouldn't be the first to do so. It doesn't mean that she is a homophobic and I would dare to say that Gerard isn't a homophobe either (more like a coward who's thinking with the 'brain' in his pants) but using the gay community to generate publicity and be seen as a do-gooder by them is nothing new.
The only difference is that Gaga, as a heterosexual, white female in the pop music business doesn't have to be afraid to alienate as many fans by speaking out against homophobia as Gerard did as a heterosexual, white male in the rock music business.
And yes, there are times when I see things only in black and white.
Especially when it comes to women representing themselves in the media. I don't have double standards when it comes to women using their bodies and nudity to sell their products.
I would be something different if let's say a woman would try to make a point by stating that losing one of your breasts due to cancer doesn't make you less of a woman and thus she would be showing her breast on stage but I don't recall Gaga making such a point.
I have to repeat myself again. I don't think that one female entertainer should be 'allowed' to flash her whatever just because she got talent whereas the other gets condemned for it for the alleged reason that she has no talent at all. Just like I said before, I could easier condone it (if at all) when the person is talentless because then I would think Oh, you poor thing. That really must be all you've got, huh? while the talented person should be able to only use her talent to call attention to herself.
And I'm gonna leave it at that. I don't want to bully some of you any longer.
If you still want to talk about this with me then you know where you can find me.

Plus I agree with Siobhan. It is hypocrisy to hide behind feminism when you have one set of rules for this person and one set for that person.
I think all women should keep their clothes on. It's okay for men to take their shirts off onstage because they get hot and they don't have boobs. Besides men don't get raped.
I think all women should keep their clothes on. It's okay for men to take their shirts off onstage because they get hot and they don't have boobs. Besides men don't get raped.
Yes very good 1.42. I am not biting. LOL.
Nobody feels inferior to you Siobhan. You are a blowhard who believes in censorship. You probably don't even wear makeup.
Why don't you leave Siobhan alone. I admire her because she sticks with exactly what she believes in. In this world, that is hard to do. I respect her for that.
Much like Kapunua, she stays very true to herself also, and it's not the easy option.
Don't dare compare Siobhan to her. Siobhan is someone who truly has ethics and a moral code.
I still think Siobhan and her have quite similar views. That's just my opinion. I appreciate both of their views and opinions.
Well, I don't believe in censorship except where hate speech and harassment are concerned. Actually, I think that people spouting whatever they want acts as a red flag: then I know what kind of people they are, lol. If I dont' like a song or movie, I have the option of switching it off and then later making mad fun of it, if I see fit.
And I have no problem with nudity or showing skin. Not with men or with women. I don't think the body is a shameful thing.
For that matter, I don't have any problem whatsoever with strippers or hookers, either. I think prostitution is actually quite a fine job, just as long as everyone is in agreement and there's consent all around. (Which is why I think it should be legal.)
But I do believe in calling a spade a spade, and other garden implements by their proper names, too.
I think it's hilarious that Lindsey is this adult woman (who looks way beyond her years) still parading around pretending to be Loli, and then getting defensive when people notice her unplugged bass. And waving her marriage to Rich Guy around like her dirty underwear, and then getting defensive when people call her out on that and saying she doesn't want to be known for her high-profile marriage.
It's her insistence that this all constitutes "feminism" that riles me.
She got nothing on her own, and she can do very little. Maybe she can draw; who knows. But I know thousands of people not married to rock stars and dressed as kindergarten kids who are far, far superior in terms of visual art.
And I have no problem with nudity or showing skin. Not with men or with women. I don't think the body is a shameful thing.
I agree and that's the point I was trying to make earlier. As I said many times, I'm not even a Lady Gaga fan. I just don't think that it's all that "shameful" for her to wear whatever the heck she wants to wear onstage. And I'm not one of those people who called Lindsey names like "skank" for flashing her panties. I dislike the fact that she tried to portray herself as a role model and a feminist when she clearly isn't.
The problem I have with Siobhan is that she openly admitted that she believes in censorship. I don't see what nudity (or lack of it) has to do with feminism, except in the case of women being exploited by men to make money.
I think Gaga's all right; she's got some good tunes and I agree with a lot of what she says. Her fashion sense is laughable but then, shoot, I used to be a goth, so. ;)
(And can still goth it up now and again, though pretty toned down.)
Another thing I think about is where my line is drawn - I definitely have gray areas and it has nothing to do with who I like or don't like.
For instance, Ewan once was doing a play in London, and he went on stage stark ass naked even though the script didn't call for it. He just wanted to act provocative and get a reaction - laughter, shock or whatever. He just likes to show his bits and pieces, which he admits. And The Pillow Book, OMG, I feel like I know his peen from every angle now.
I just love him and can't get enough of him. He's smart, talented, fun, shameless and awesome.
I also for years have loved loved loved Joaquin Phoenix. He's done his share of naked films too. But these days he's just off his rocker and from what I hear, is basically doing stupid, ugly porn. That goes over my gray line.
"
But I do believe in calling a spade a spade, and other garden implements by their proper names, too."
LOL exactly!
"And The Pillow Book, OMG, I feel like I know his peen from every angle now."
OK now I have to see this movie.
I don't see what nudity (or lack of it) has to do with feminism, except in the case of women being exploited by men to make money.
I agree. If any female artist wants to show her body for her art (whatever the medium) that's her choice.
Now if we were talking about some young girl who is being told by her record label that she has to dress provocatively to sell CDs and she's not comfortable doing that -- well now that's a different thing. I get the feeling that Lady Gaga makes her own decisions. Her music. Her body. Her choice.
"And The Pillow Book, OMG, I feel like I know his peen from every angle now."
Just thinking about it makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. ;)
I assume you know the difference of an actor playing a role and a singer? What kind of reasoning is that to prove your point by using Ewan McGregor in Velvet Goldmine as an example?
And don't come with the point that Gaga is playing a role on stage too. Then I could say that Lindsey does that as well.
All of a sudden she is "playing a role". You have been one of the most blatant criticizes of Lindsey and your description of her and what she be participating in have been way over the top. You're entitled to your opinions Siobhan, which I may add I still don't agree with and think you are still missing the point, and being hypocritical.
You could also claim that Lindsey was very talented in luring male fans to their shows.
That's the only thing I agree with you on, and look at the types of males she attracts. Ewww.
Why don't you leave Siobhan alone. I admire her because she sticks with exactly what she believes in. In this world, that is hard to do. I respect her for that.
I do too, and I still don't agree with her.
I think all women should keep their clothes on. It's okay for men to take their shirts off onstage because they get hot and they don't have boobs. Besides men don't get raped.
Rape has never been about sex, it's about power. Your argument is flawed.
What comes out of Lindsey's mouth is far more important than what she does or doesn't wear, the chicken on her arm or her physical appearance.
Plus I agree with Siobhan. It is hypocrisy to hide behind feminism when you have one set of rules for this person and one set for that person.
You say that because the whole premise of your argument is you're soo jeallusz she married your idol which is really stupid illogical reasoning, and more to do with your own fantasies.

Strike two for logic and denial.

What difference does it make whether someone is naked in a film or naked onstage? They are both art. Besides, Ewan McGregor was playing the role of a rock star who got naked onstage in Velvet Goldmine -- a role that was based loosely on Iggy Pop.
Strike two for logic and denial.
Ha!

It's got nothing to do with feminsim. Angus Young looks pretty damn stupid in that schoolboy uniform at his age as well. So would Brittney Spears if she decided to pull hers out again at her age.
Some people are so dense they can't see past their own thickheadedness. Like Lindsey Way and 5:51.
It's very artistic to play to music about bitches and under age children.
It's very artistic to play to music about bitches and under age children.
Lol yes! More likely also when no other band wants you cuz you're a talentless git so you end up in MSI.
I personally just think we should all get down on our hands and knees and be thankful that Gerard never decided to do an Iggy Pop onstage.
If his wife can flash her panties he can do an Iggy Pop.
it's infuriating! one of the reason I do what I do is for other women for other girls , then suddenly when I got married that was taken away from me. I'm suddenly wife of blah, blah, blah
"Angus Young looks pretty damn stupid in that schoolboy uniform at his age as well.
"
The majority of people think Angus Young has talent so it's OK for him to parade around on stage wearing an English schoolboy uniform.
/sarcasm
It's OK for him to encourage adult women and men to fantasize about little schoolboys and possibly encourage paedophilia. He has talent unlike Lynz, MSI and MCR. It's wrong if they do it.
/typical hypocrite logic

Since when did anybody say that either Lindsey or Angus Young encouraged people to fantasize about pedophilia with their school uniforms? Honestly, where are you getting this crap?

I think the song 5 year old Panty Shot had more to do with people criticizing MSI about encouraging pedophilia than Lindsey's schoolgirl uniform did.
Lol.
"Besides, Ewan McGregor was playing the role of a rock star who got naked onstage in Velvet Goldmine -- a role that was based loosely on Iggy Pop.
"
They think Ewan McGregor and Iggy Pop are hawt men who have talent. They can flash their briefs and get naked when ever they want. For no reason.
They would probably still find EMG and IP hawt with chicken tattoos on their arms.
Since when did anybody say that either Lindsey or Angus Young encouraged people to fantasize about pedophilia with their school uniforms?
At least I can spell paedophilia. Idiot.
At least I can spell paedophilia. Idiot.
I'm an American. We don't add in the extra a. Dumbass.
The moron prances around in a school girl uniform flashes her crotch and back bends. She plays on the whole 'we don't take ourselves too seriously and have nothing to say and just wanna party' image. Yet the music she plays(?) to is about whores, fags and underage children. She thinks that being on stage is more important than being able to play her instrument because she had the guts to try to do something. In others words she thinks that being a woman in a rock band is something special no matter what rubbish she represents. And she gets pissed when people criticize her and don't take her seriously.
Does anybody find Iggy Pop hot? Ew.
Angus Young never flashed anybody when he was wearing his school uniform. If he did, I'd find that gross.
Since when did anybody say that either Lindsey or Angus Young encouraged people to fantasize about pedophilia with their school uniform
The reference to Loli said it.
Lolita. It's a book. A classic.
It's not my fault you don't read classic books. Kapu obviously does.
"
this adult woman (who looks way beyond her years) still parading around pretending to be Loli"
I want to know how she feels about Angus Young doing the same thing Lynz does.
"I'm an American. We don't add in the extra a. Dumbass.
"
I do add the extra a. Rude uncultured one.
I do add the extra a. Rude uncultured one.
Are you saying that Americans are rude and uncultured? Where exactly are you from?
Then the dumbass states the whole intent of panty shot was to get people to question their prejudices which is ridiculous when a) their fan base never gave a hoot about the song b) the song is not even well known apart from people who know about the MCR/MSI connection. And how would JU know what the perspective of a pedophile is and what really goes on in their mind? It trivializes the impact and complexity of the whole issue. The woman is a raving idiot.
Angus Young flashes his butt crack. Jimmy Urine burnt his pubes.
The trolls are out in full force tonight.
Geetard reminded us of our jr high school years and did the bases and grabbed his sock. He is such a pioneer! He changed rock forever! LOL!
They sure as hell are.
If Angus Young is still wearing that outfit, that would look a tad silly. However, there's really no sexual appeal to what he does. He wears shorts and suspenders.
Legend says that he did so because when the band started out, he actually was in school and used to show up for concerts in his school clothes, and it just stuck.
Yes, Angus Young has mad talent. He can play his instrument - and is legendarily awesome at it.
But, yes, I do object to some of AC/DC's lyrics too. It was different in the 70s and 80s when I never questioned lyrics like that before. But now, some of it makes me go "ugh."
There are tons of lines that AC/DC doesn't cross though, which MSI does, maliciously.
By the way, if you wish to ask me something, ask me. You don't have to do the whole dumb "I WISH I KNEW WHAT KAPU THOUGHT ABOUT THAT" routine. I'm right here. Duh.
The woman is a raving idiot.
Quote for truth!
What was the point of you posting that picture of yourself Kapu? Was it to anger some people or to show that you too can wear as little as possible but when YOU do it, it's morally better?
8:04, your idol does it for money and attention. A fact that has gone right over your silly head.
I guess you're not going to answer that one. Were you doing it just to be "provocative"?
lynzway is a glorified stripper whos made lifestyle out of mooching off the cash and beliefs of others so she wouldnt have to ever develop any of her own.
ladygaga is a self made artist with an unshakable sense of self who went to julliard and had her first album produced by doctor dre himself.
theres really no comparison.
There's nothing wrong with being provocative, anon. You should try it some time.
I posted it because there's nothing wrong with bodies, or showing some skin in public. There's nothing trashy about it.
I chose that one because it's what I do: dance. It's a cultural costume and custom. Though traditionally, dancers didn't wear a top at all, because there was nothing to be ashamed of. It's not for titillation.* It was the missionaries who made them cover up.
I posted it because I have mad skills when I do what I do. I've practiced and studied very hard to be a good dancer - and it's not something everyone can do.
Sure, I get paid for it, sometimes. It's not rude, or vulgar, and it doesn't exploit anyone or anything.
*"Titillation." God that word cracks me up.
And if it really offends you, then LOL.
Is she posting naked pictures??
No one wants to see your fat ass.
THEN DON'T CLICK OMG!!
What is that? lol.

Alert! Lynzway fan here!
I'd have rather seen lynzway and jimmy urine stripped naked and speak eagle on a stage than that. Scared.
You're an ass 10:39.

It's such a shame that women all over the world have been made to feel ashamed of their bodies to the point where, in this day and age, so many of them still find nudity offensive.
How do you 'speak eagle'?
I'm pretty sure I can speak Eagle. I was fluent in Hawk and Kestrel a few years ago. The Raptor languages are all similar at the basics.
