Things that aren't too surprising....

So since the last time I posted, apparently LynZ and Kitty did an interview where they said that people who don't like them are "fat" and "sit around eating crisps all day". This goes really well with her saying that she is "inspirational". Very mature of them. But that is to be expected from MSI members who think that slur words are funny.

Also MCR released a video for Desolation Row and LynZ is in it. Not surprisingly.

Wow good thing she doesn't want to be associated with MCR! Of course the fact that they are both lying when they say that is old news.

Ex fans are calling them My Mindless Chemical Self Indulgent Romance. Or other variations of that. That name seems very appropriate.

Again I just want to say..... I never censor this blog. I don't care what you all say. I just want you to have a place to day it. I don't agree that LynZ or Gerard should be picked on for their looks when it is their actions that are disgusting. I don't think that "fat" should be an insult (like LynZ seems to think)..... but you say what you want.

Also, to address one more thing. This has always been my blog. Verita Venom. That's my name up there. While I don't LIKE the arguing that sometimes goes on here I also will not try to stop it. Like I said, it is not my time they are wasting, it is theirs. Telling people to leave this blog is not appropriate. The only line I draw here, is slur words. All opinions are welcome. If fangirls come in complaining about everyone here, they are also allowed. You can say what you want to them but you can't ask them to leave or go to another blog. Well you CAN tell them that but nothing is going to enforce it so it's a little pointless. This blog is open to all and it always has been.

Also due to the nature of the things happening at certain other blogs in the last few months, I would also draw the line at people's information getting posted, and anyone who gets into the REAL LIFE of others. That means NO posting of other's information, where they live, real names or anything like that without their consent. That and hate words. Those are the only two things where I feel I can and will draw a line.

But getting back to MMSICR or MSIMCR or MMCSIR..... However you want to say it. That really sums it up now that she is a part of their music videos too.

I just read what LynZ's exact words were in that interview and I have something to say about that.

LynZ said

"I think the people writing these questions either a) can't play an instrument or b)could never be in a band. These people are sitting at home, probably eating crisps, commenting on all the things that I'm doing. If they hate me so bad that it inspires them to say, 'Fuck her, I can do it better', then my job is done."

First of all that is typical adolescent logic. If people don't like you they must be bored lazy fat and useless.

Second. And most important. Every single day that I wake up, and don't pretend to play bass in a band that spouts hate speech toward minorities gays and women, every single day I don't go on stage and flaunt my underwear for attention, every single day that I don't marry a rich famous guy and ride his coat tails into the spotlight...

I have already "done it better" than Lyn Z.

It's absolutely ridiculous to think MCR will be in J-14 again. They're all married getting older by the minute. Besides, the middle school "mall goth" trend is about to run its course. And then there is RPattz and Jackson Rahtbone from Twilight who leave schlumpy Gerard in the dirt when it comes to being attractive to the teens.

Anonymous said...

MCR's biggest fanbase is in Mexico, South America, the Phillipines and Indonesia right now. I don't think they buy J-14.

People on LJ MCR comms live in a fantasy world where MCR is the "biggest band in the world". These people still write fanfic and think the band members are above reproach. I can't stand them.

It's funny that they think MCR are even that popular. MCR are about a decade too old for J-14.

Don't care for RPattz, but Jackson Rathbone? I gotta admit, I'd tap that in a second. And I hate Twilight. ^_^

Seriously. If you were a teenager, who would you prefer? This or this?

I was just watching BBC world news and they were talking about the Brit awards. They said that in this day and age putting on a good performance at an award show can help you a lot more than winning an award.

To bad at the last award show MCR were on they didn't put on a good show. From what I heard when they opened for Bon Jovi they weren't that great either.

I live in mex and we used to get lots of american and british teenage magazines , well we still get american magazines but not as many .
the last one i saw was "tiger beat" and it was all about jonas brothers, twilight, miley cyrus, bla bla..

Gerard was in too much of a hurry to join MSI on tour so he could be with Lindsey to be bothered with putting on a decent show at the EMAs.

MCR have completely lost their appeal to teens. 4 out of 5 of them are married and Gerard looks like he aged 5 years from last summer. it's over for them.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I think it has more to do with GW's attitude and who he married. The fangirls may say they like her but I bet most of them thinks she is nasty.

Anonymous said...

Hi there MJ! :)

I agree, don't think the fangirls like lynz at all..

MCR has become a big farce.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Hi TL,

I think that a lot of the I love Lindsey bullshit is just to kiss GW's ass. I also believe that most of the fans see the same things we see but are to scared to say anything. They think that calling someone out on their odd/bad behavior isn't right. In the end all their ass kissing is just making things worse.

Anonymous said...

yeah just like the same fangirls that worship alicia and leave her msgs saying how awesome she is on twitter and myspace.
They think that if they do that then mikey and gerard will like them.what they don't know is , the way brothers don't give a flying sock about the fans.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I just don't understand what happened. Bullets and Revenge sounded really good, even TBP was good but than they decided that they wanted to shit like the ugly world and the DR cover. They all decided that the fangirls were no longer wanted. Yet they still put out LE carp that only they (fangirls) would buy.
We hate you but we want your money. But the fanfirls still think he loves them

Actually, reading some of the comments on that LJ post were kind of refreshing. It was nice to see some people actually voice their honest opinions about the band without wirrying about being flamed by others for speaking out against their odd behavior.

Don't worry about it typos happen. I guess it is nice for the fans to have a place to talk about the shit going on with MCR. Too bad they still think MCR is on top of the world.

I shouldn't have read any of the comments on that LJ. It was just the same as the stuff On Bn and any other place like it.

You have some who are upset and want to talk and than the I am sick of people saying bad thinks about GW, Lindsey and MCR show up.

You can't even say something as a joke with out them having a bitch fit. Lord GW is great and can do no wrong and to say so means you evil. Even if it was a joke.

Anonymous said...

I also believe that most of the fans see the same things we see but are to scared to say anything. They think that calling someone out on their odd/bad behavior isn't right.

In reality nobody wants to belong to a group that tries to control them.

The little Nazis who try to tell us what we can and cannot say don't realize it now, but they're doing the band more harm than good. It's not just Gerard's antics that are driving people away from this band. A lot of us have left because we aren't allowed to have an opinion about the band that's anything less than hero worship. Well fuck that.

I thought MCR was about being yourself. About it being okay to be different and to be an outsider. I guess that doesn't apply to the fandom though. You have to conform to the belief that you can't criticize the band for anything or you aren't a 'real fan.'

Once again. Fuck that.

Gerard kills me. The band isn't hiding behind makeup anymore? I thought they were fearless and unapologetic before? To hear him talk a few years ago, wearing makeup was the greatest thing in the world. It was expressing his individuality.

Is he always going to come back later and say that the things they did in the past were wrong? Like, the next record, is he going to say, "We aren't afraid to wear makeup anymore!"?

The longer this band stays in the limelight, the more holes you can see in their so-called philosophy. I don't think they stand for anything or believe in anything at all.
The best thing they could do is to just go ahead and call it quits.

My Chemical Romance Album Won't Be A 'Kitchen Sink' Affair'I think it's going to get by on its musicianship and its own merits in the songs,' frontman Gerard Way says of less dramatic album.

There was a time, long before the multiplatinum records and the pancake makeup, before the Eisner Award-winning comics or the Dylan cover in the "Watchmen" film, when My Chemical Romance were just another band from New Jersey. They would like very much to get back to that time.

So that's goal number one with their new album — the follow-up to the massively successful, massively ambitious Welcome to the Black Parade — which they're currently writing in Los Angeles. They hope to get back to their roots — to make manic, fast-and-furious, spur-of-the-moment punk. And, above all, to keep it simple.

"When we had just finished Black Parade, I think doing that record made us feel like we could do everything. And so I think the way to top a record that already kind of does everything is to not do everything," MCR frontman Gerard Way smiled. "I don't think this is gonna be a 'kitchen sink' record. I think it's going to get by on its musicianship and its own merits in the songs.

"And every record ... I like to think they're snapshots of what your band is at that moment, and this is really going to be that. I think there's going to be lack of concept, I think it's simply a snapshot, I think it's going to be direct and very honest," he continued. "It's not going to be hiding behind a veil of fiction or uniforms and makeup anymore. ... From the stuff we've been playing so far, just feels very pure. That's the best way to describe it. People who were really big fans of our first record, they'll find things they're really going to love about the new material — and not because we sound like that first record at all, it's because there's a purity to it. There's less happening."

It's a tactic they first learned while recording their version of Dylan's "Desolation Row" for Zack Snyder's upcoming "Watchmen" film: Stop thinking and just get busy rocking.

"From working on 'Desolation Row' ... I think it was very natural. We just kind of did stuff and the song was there. There was no over-thinking," Way explained. "[But, having said that] we're not going to make a retro record at all. It will sound like a modern rock record, but I think we would like to try to redefine that, what that actually means. By saying it sounds like a modern rock record, it'll sound new — I don't think it'll sound like what's on the radio right now."

And to that point, though it may sound like MCR are trying hard to strip away the rather, uh, grandiose leanings of The Black Parade, they've still got the swagger of a band that's moved units and toured the globe. They've been surveying the musical landscape that's appeared in their absence, and they're not very pleased by what they see. Take, for example, the (working) title of one of their new songs: "New Hair, Same Sh--."

"It's about having new hair, but it's the same sh--. That's the concept," Way laughed. "I think the new album is going to be a response to the two years of touring on Parade. A reaction to what's happening right now — everything that we're not a part of — and a response to it."

Anonymous said...

As far as desolation row, alot of people didn't seem very pleased with what they saw.

Oh, so now they aren't content with just "saving people's lives". Now they're going to come back and save music.

*vomits*

"New Hair, Same Sh--." ??

Sounds like the same crap as the world is ugly . Now I'm convinced they're trying to get their label to release them. It's finished.

Anonymous said...

I noticed that no producers' names have been mentioned yet. I wonder if that's because it's still so early in the process or if the band is planning to produce its own record this time.

I really, really hope they do because that will be the most epic failure ever.

Anonymous said...

Hello everyone!

So, are they already recording or still just writing songs?
Who was the producer of the last record anyway?

Anonymous said...

"I think it's going to get by on its musicianship and its own merits in the songs."
Don't expect to achieve that with shit like The World Is Ugly and DR. "Musicianship" - Please teach this word to you wife and friends from MSI. I'm pretty sure they have no idea what it means.

"I think it's going to be direct and very honest."
According to him, weren't the other ablums direct and honest?

"It will sound like a modern rock record, but I think we would like to try to redefine that,"
So his wife has redefined "feminism" so he'll redefine "modern rock". It good to know they do things together.

"I don't think it'll sound like what's on the radio right now."
Like Never Wanted To Dance? That was on Kerrang radio.

Do you mean those hobos?

I'm sorry, but you've got to be kidding.
I'd rather pick Gerard 'cokewhore' Way than any of these dudes.

Oh my God, did I just write that?

Only two of the Followill boys look like hobos. The other two are gorgeous. And not only do the band have a huge following in the UK, but they win awards as well (grammy, brit). Something MCR will never do.

"LOL I'm still not done with Eliza, lulzies, 'cause like she did my hair and stuff and Lyndsey doesn't so it's like, no longer is life about hair cause like, like it's so much deeper than that, you can change your hair or have like, your stalker fiance change your hair and still be like unhappy but like then you meet this amaaaaayzing person and all of a sudden hair doesn't matter anymore, so it's like you can leave your hair alone and concentrate all your focus on things like monkeys and handbags and LA. So it's very pure and honest."

I think the reason why MCR appealed to so many people was not only their boyish good looks but also the staginess of their songs, performances and videos. Also, their uniform-like clothing during the Revenge era, just as the suits, their armbands with the MCR logo on it and of course their makeup. In fact, everything Gerard wants to get rid of now.
This was the reason why I got interested in them. They were different. That's what made them so incredibly appealing and interesting to me. And the good music, of course.

I sometimes wish that the 80's would come back and bands and solo artists would dress up more and be more flamboyant again.
I also think that could be the case why MCR are so popular in the UK.
Because most of the well-known flamboyant personalities who made music history (David Bowie, Freddie Mercury etc.) came/come from there.
I hate to say this but image really does matter.
I'm getting bored looking at those oatmeal mugs who all look the same to me.
When I grab a music mag and flip through it, I mainly see those guys with shirts and jeans who look like people who study social pedagogy. *yawn*
If I never heard a song or watched a video by them and know that they play kick ass music despite their boring looks, I would never feel like wanting to go to the next music store and check them out.
That's also what I think of by looking at a pic of the 'Kings of Leotards'.
I don't think that they will be a big threat to MCR.

Anonymous said...

Well, apparently, in 2008, "Kings of Leotards" had the highest selling album in the UK and Australia, so it looks to me like they're giving MCR some competition already.

Anonymous said...

Well, I never heard about them and it's quite easy to compete against MCR when they didn't release an album in 2008.
I don't say that KOL can't be successful but I doubt that fans will abandon MCR for that particular band.

I'm certain that Lindsey would back you up on this. After all, Kings of Leon aren't likely to piss on their instruments and set them on fire, either.

Well, Jimi Hendrix set his guitar on fire. And I don't think that you could call him a crappy musician.
If that's what you're trying to insinuate here by mentioning Lindsey and the stage antics of her lot.
I never said that the music doesn't matter and you can look as good and put on a great show as much as you want but if your music sucks it won't help you.

Still, the first look is important in the music industry.
And if the band looks boring I tend to think that their music is too.

Anonymous said...

I think that looks can be a plus in the music business, but they aren't absolutely necessary. Some of the most successful and revered rock musicians of all time have been less than attractive. Jimi Hendrix for example. That man was downright fug.

Looks can only get you so far. Musical talent is what will give you staying power.

Anonymous said...

I thought I was making myself clear here.
If I say 'looks' I also mean image and charisma.
Just like I described in the post in which I wrote about what made MCR appeal to me so much.

Freddie Mercury was also fug as hell in the face but the guy could put on a fantastic show and his clothes were crazy. He was exciting to watch. That's what distinguishes a good band from great performers.

Anonymous said...

I don't think that they will be a big threat to MCR.
The Kings of Leon are EVERYWHERE in the UK. They're already bigger than MCR. I listen to the radio at work and I hear at least three of their songs a day. MCR have never achieved that!

Anonymous said...

Alanis Morissette was huge with 'Jagged little pill' and where is she now?

Maybe they are the latest craze now but let's give them a few years and see where they are then.

And again, just because one band is successful that doesn't mean that MCR will lose their fanbase.
I think this discussion has become rather pointless.

I just said that from what I've seen of them I don't think that they can compete against MCR when it comes to their looks.
Even if most of them look fug nowadays, they still don't look as fug as those Kings. IMAO

Just because you don't happen to agree with something doesn't make a discussion pointless.

Kings of Leon might look like hobos to you, but they are hugely popular in the UK. They recently sold out Madison Square Garden in the US. They won a Grammy and a Brit Award (something MCR has never acheived) and they appeal to a wider range of fans than MCR.

One of the brothers (I can't remember which one) was named to several "hottest guys in rock" lists (and I'm not just talking Kerrang, but more mainstrean publications). They're on the cover of Billboard (don't think MCR ever acheived that) and from the looks of things, they have the world at their fingertips.

MCR has never had that kind of across the board success. MCR is over and KOL's success is just beginning.

They may not be your cup of tea, but (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this) I doubt you have your finger on the pulse of the record buying public in the U.S. and the UK.

Anonymous said...

Calm down, sister. Don't get your panties in a twist.

You all can list up as many achievements of that band as you want. So what?
The point is that an anonymous appeared here and claimed that those hobos from KOL would be big competition for the hobos from MCR in the 'looks-department'.
To me it sounded as if this anonymous was insinuating that MCR fans would soon abandon them for that PARTICULAR band.
But since it's not only about the looks (but also image etc.) and that I haven't read any comments of (former) MCR fans so far, stating that they now listen to KOL and not MCR anymore, you can tell me all you want about that band. How great they are and how many awards they won and how fluffy their hair is.
That simply doesn't mean that MCR's fans will stop liking them and turn to KOL.
The discussion is not about who's more successful, it's about which band will take MCR's place if they fail with their next album.
And I don't think that it will be KOL.

Just because that band is successful now it doesn't mean that MCR fans will see them as proper replacement for their favorite band.
Remember, that band 'saved their lives', brought them the Black Parade and gave them the MCRmy.
That's why those teens are still clinging to that band. No matter, how stupid and ridiculous we think it is now, they believe in this.
Does KOL have a message like that?

Anonymous said...

Siobhan, who has spent years here practically screaming about how much she wants this stupid band to "die in a fire" and "get eaten alive by dogs" and how she just wishes death death death on them.... all because they ended up being stupid dicks (which is no big deal because most bands actually are)....

Is telling someone else to "calm down" and "not get their panties in a twist??

I spent my share of money on this suck-ass band and I wish I hadn't. I think they are a joke and I think both Gerard and LynZ are gay and covering it up.

There is NOTHING wrong with being gay.

There is NOTHING wrong with them being ugly.

There is NOTHING WRONG with growing up low-class! I'm tired of Siobhan insinuating that growing up poor in New Jersey makes you a bad or classless person!!

There is NOTHING wrong with having no style, ugly style, being boring, or having a style that Siobhan thinks is ugly or goes against fashion.

There IS PLENTY wrong with MCR and the way they treat their fans, the people who put them where they are.

There is PLENTY wrong with Gerard and his disgusting actions.

There is PLENTY wrong with LynZ's wrong and stupid ways of "inspiring" people and being a "feminist".

There is PLENTY wrong with MSI and their disgusting lyrics

There is PLENTY wrong with MCR who once hated this kind of violent music, letting MSI become a part of their band.

There is PLENTY wrong with Gerard and LynZ probably BOTH still being on drugs and deciding to have a baby.... or actually, HER deciding to have a baby.

But Siobhan comes off as a social snob and a violent person who says things that are just as ugly and misguided as MSI.

I'm tired of her wishing death on these people, sounding like a jealous raving fangirl and making the rest of us look bad.

Most of us don't care how a band dresses, where they grew up, if they were poor and MOST of us don't want them to "die in a fire" or get killed or get eaten by dogs or whatever.

Siobhan telling someone else to "calm down" is just plain funny after her practically raving in anger for over a year.

Anonymous said...

Gerard looks like the last shit i took.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

A lot of the things Siobhan has said isn't about being a social snob. It is a fact that growing up in a poor neighborhood in or outside of NJ will affect how you deal with the world.

People are judged all the time by how they dress. When walking down the street, at work or what every. Everyone does it.

What Siobhan was saying when referring to GW as gays wasn't a generalization about all gay people it was about one person who she thought was gay

Anonymous said...

I don't judge people by how rich or poor they are, how they dress or if they are gay. I judge them by how they act. I judge MCR and MSI by their words and actions. their hatred and violence.

Sometimes Siobhan is not a far cry from them.

Anonymous said...

Aside from the Siobhan baiting, not by me (I find Siobhan quite refreshing), I would say...

Kings of Leon are good but they aren't great.

You can't compare them to MCR music style/background at all.

I pleasantly enjoy KOL, whereas I used to be wildly passionate about MCR.

But I never could feel that passion for KOL. They are a different band, totally. They are from the Southern America. They don't wear their hearts on their sleeves. They are also very religious. Although pissheads, very religious.

You can't compare the two it's ridiculous.

The Killers and KOL maybe, but no, MCR have always been that odd dark band, you really can't compare.

I'm from the UK so I know that KOL are doing great, the Killers have always been accepted here. MCR also very much, but amongst a different audience in places anyway.

MCR still carry that dark, goth, whatever, following. KOL and the Killers don't come into that catagory at all.

i think comparing them is just the wrong thing to do.

Just my thoughts.

Anonymous said...

the Southern America = Southern America

Martha Smith-Jones said...

You think you don't judge people by how rich/poor they are, if they are gay or how they dress. But you do everyone does and you don't even think about.

When you see a person walking down the street and you form an opinion of them because of what they are wearing you are judging them. It is something everyone has done.

They do studies about it all the time.

Anonymous said...

People do judge...it's subconscious.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I don't know shit about KOL aside from them not liking MCR so I can't say anything about that part of it.

There is a difference between forming an opinion and being a snob and wanking about it.

So disagreeing with Siobhan's death wishes ad wanking is "baiting" now? This is getting as bad as Mayo's when disagreeing with someone means you are a troll or "baiting" them.

Most of the people here get that my 'death threats' are meant tongue-in-cheek. And I think that you do that too but you're playing dumb and you use them to start shit.

And just because I state that I think Gerard is gay it doesn't make me a homophobe.

Call me a snob. I take it as a compliment. Thank you.

But I never could feel that passion for KOL.

That's what I meant.

They are from the Southern America.

Really?

Anonymous said...

Yes they are from Tennesse i think?

Yep Nashville.

Their father is a vicar or something. They live on a farm.

MCR are from Jersey and I think they admit they are pretty rough.

Music is music but you cannot compare those bands.

And all that aside MCR HAD passion, KOL is just a band who write some good tunes.

Why exactly am I defending MCR here?

Well to me they really were specially once upon a time.

So disagreeing with Siobhan's death wishes ad wanking is "baiting" now? This is getting as bad as Mayo's when disagreeing with someone means you are a troll or "baiting" them.

No way is this place anything like Mayo's. I enjoy coming here. Everyone here has something to bring and to the table and i get alot of LOLS here.

Isn't it weird? Now I'm really interested in those Kings of Leotards.
Wtf? ^_^

Anonymous said...

Yes anyone who doesn't see it your way is merely "picking a fight". Siobhan, you do not represent the majority of people here.

And I just saw the irony in YOU of all people telling people to not get their knickers in a twist, when you spend hours upon hours here screaming your head off about dumbass rockstars who let you down.

You come across as just as raving maniacal as the fangirls.

Anonymous said...

It's better to rave, than to never rave at all. Or is that love?

I think that I and probably also other people here would take your complaints more seriously if it wasn't always me your picking out when showing up and freaking out about MY snobbish comments, MY homophobic remarks, MY death threats and MY opinon about others being fat or ugly.
Just like I said before, there are many others here making fun of those things as well.
Why do you never complain about them?

That's what I find really suspicious, anon(s)!

That's what makes me think that you actually don't really care about what's said here and who gets mocked and exposed to ridicule.

You either are someone from my time at Mayo's (regular or anonymous) who thinks that they still have a bone to pick with me or some other person I might have ticked off with a particular comment once.

So, if you really feel offended by afore-mentioned things then come here and join the discussion with all of us and don't single me out all the time.
Because that makes you sound implausible!

I'm afraid so. I guess since she's not working anymore, she had to have an excuse to dress really punk. I wonder if she wears that schoolgirl outfit at home? I also wonder if Gerard wears it at home.

I think in some pictures in which she's with Gerard she dresses really conservative.

So, MCR - or rather Gerard, has said he wouldn't want to be involved with New Moon. I suppose he thinks he's too hxc for that, even though Stephanie Meyer mentions MCR in the acknowledgments as music that she listened to while she was writing the books. Maybe that explains why the books are so bad.

From mtv
'My Chemical Romance Go '80s For 'Watchmen,' Say No To 'New Moon''A lot of people would say that a vampire movie would fit, but I would disagree,' Gerard Way says of 'Twilight' sequel.'

You can see the utter boredom from the rest of the band, it's just Gerard speaking, I don't think the others can be bothered to get involved. They look like five strangers sat together.

Anonymous said...

It seems like Gerard is dictating what the next album is going to sound like, what kind of look its going to have. And none of the others are going to disagree with him, or maybe they're just going to let him do what he wants. They should just call it the Gerard Way show.

Used to be. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! All of you are still so passionate about MCR it's fucking hilarious. You still think they are the greatest band to come along in your lifetimes. You are nowhere close to being 'over' them. You can't even deal when somebody mentions another band who might just be more popular than they are. For you, no one will ever be able to take their place.

You act like you're dissing the band when in reality you're just giving them the biggest compliment ever. If they didn't still mean so much to you, you wouldn't be here all day, every day, talking about them.

If they know about this place, trust me. They love it.

Anonymous said...

This seems to be true. When they talk about MCR they mention artists like David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix and Queen. They clearly place MCR on the same level as these guys.

They never mention any other band that they listen to now. Bands like the Killers who are huge get compared to the likes of Alanis Morissette.

You have to know that they still listen to Three Cheers on their ipods every night when they go to bed. MCR will never be "over" as long as these people are around.

Do you mean that MCR would be complimented by us insulting them because you think we're so terrible? Sorry, I don't really get what you're trying to say there.

Probably.

When they talk about MCR they mention artists like David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix and Queen. They clearly place MCR on the same level as these guys.
Oaky I'm not fan a Bowie or Hendrix, they've never really appealed to me, but I haven't and will NEVER compare MCR to Queen. Queen aren't even in the same league. They're far better musically, vocally and lyrically.

You have to know that they still listen to Three Cheers on their ipods every night when they go to bed.
You couldn't be more wrong. All 3MCR albums are on my ipod, but I can't remember the last time I listened to them.

They never mention any other band that they listen to now.
Foo Fighters, The Cure, Queen, Flyleaf, Blur, Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon, Smashing Pumpkins, stuff from the 50's to the 80's and many, many others.....but I'm not here to talk about them so why bring them up?

MCR will never be "over" as long as these people are around.

You guys are so funny. Your little boycott has nothing to do with Gerard or the others being douchebags and everything to do with your not liking the person Gerard chose to marry.

Gerard's always been a douchebag. It's just that a few years ago he was a douchebag with a Canadian girlfriend that nobody really had to deal with because they never got a look at her.

You can go on and on all you want to about how disappointed you are in the band, but I bet every one of you downloaded Desolation Row and will probably download the new record when it comes out.

The band doesn't make money off the records, anyway. They make money off shows. I bet none of you have ever been to a single concert, so you're no big loss to the band.

Anonymous said...

Wow. They're really going to miss you.

Also, I'm not sure I believe you anyway. After all, you listen to Kings of Leotards.

Anonymous said...

Wow, do you actually think I care wheather you believe me or not?

Since we're calling out possible lies - I don't believe you when you said they only get paid for shows. Plus, you forgot merch and trust me, I have plenty of that.

I'm sorry I never had enough money to see more shows. Or am I?

But you're right, I won't be missed.

Anonymous said...

What's this rumour going around about Gerard wearing a wig?

And what's wrong with Kings of Leon? I like them very much. The singer is really beautiful without the facial hair and bad haircut he's currently wearing. All three of the brothers have amazing bone structure and beautiful eyes. They just don't choose to flaunt it. Probably because they want to be taken seriously.

Anonymous said...

You're right, anon: they're not going to miss us at all. They're not going to miss a few ex fans walking away for the right reasons (that they went against everything they said they stood for.)

They have enough fangirls and clingers to line their pockets for a loooong time. Believe me, they're not hurting over this.

I also agree that Gerard has always been a douchebag. It's just that we didn't know it at the time. I think his "nice guy" act was exactly that: an act. I have begun to believe that he didn't change at all. He just cared more about selling records back then.

However, you're wrong about the reasons why, of course. Was Eliza that "girlfriend from Canada?" Hells no, she was in everyone's grill. Even when she was dancing around on the internet babbling about "we're n*ggers" I was shocked, but I still thought that maybe Gerard was in the dark about her. In other words, for the entire time he was with her, I figured it didn't reflect on him because hey, he was probably just being dumb and naive.

i listened to MCR up till the night I found out that Gerard was telling girls to moan for him and simulate an orgasm. That night I deleted everything by them off my iPod and iTunes and I haven't listened to them since, and believe me, I won't.

I thought Three Cheers was brilliant, but MCR was never my favorite band. 30STM, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, and old loves of mine like the Lo Fidelity Allstars, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen etc. have always held top spots.

Also, MCR's music lost a lot of its musical appeal for me once I found out that Gerard had used Autotune when recording. Perhaps some other singers use it, perhaps not. All I know is that I've seen most of the rest of those bands live and they can actually sing the songs on their albums. Gerard, not so much.

So, no, they are not going to miss us. And if Gerard knew about this site, he probably would love it! I think he's like Eliza in that way: even negative attention will fill the void.

However I don't think that's such a good thing for him in the long run, but oh well oh well oh well.

Have a good day, anon!

Anonymous said...

And what's wrong with Kings of Leon?
Exactly. I like their music. Not sure what they look like though, don't really care.

Nice to see you Kapuna!

Agreed. The majority of popular and successful rock artists have never been about looks.

Looks are only important if you're a female pop diva or a boyband.

Anonymous said...

Agreed. The majority of popular and successful rock artists have never been about looks.

Lol. I think many of you have made it very clear that looks are very important to you. MCR has something that none of the other bands out there has and they still have a very strong hold on you. If you just didn't like them anymore you would forget about them and go on. That you have to keep coming here and ragging on them shows me that you still care very much. You're probably all hoping that Gerard will read this, see the error of his ways and become that guy you used to dream about again.

Newsflash: It ain't gonna happen.

Oddly and unexpectedly, the singer's voice reminds me a little of Bon Scott. O_o

This blog is very important because there has to be at least one place on the internet where those fuckers are not seen as kings but exposed as fools.

Why should I get over them? Mocking them and posting 'death threats' is one of my favorite pastimes.
I love it!
I also love to piss off little fan girls! ^_^

What difference does it make if I still listen to their music? As long as I don't have to pay for it it's fine with me. HA!
And believe me honey, they really need every penny they can get!

Just ask Tallicadude37, Dubtown and Starwarz77! Bwahahahaha

And I never compared MCR's music to David Bowie's, Jimi Hendrix' or even Queen's.
I'd strongly advise you to read my comments thorougly!!!

I just said that MCR had an interesting band image and appearance at the beginning of their career and that this (in combination with making good music) can be the key of being perceived by a broader range of people than a band with a more average looking (stage) appearance.
It also means that people can remember your music easier when connected to a specific image.

So this merely means that above mentioned bands and artists are using/used the same marketing tools to make people not only take notice of their music but also identify with it easier and in a stronger sense.

This still doesn't mean that you can compare their work in terms of quality and success!

There is also a rumor going around that Gerard sometimes wears a hairpiece on the back of his head to cover up his bald spot. Some people say the red patch he wore around the time of that Spin cover and the blond patch from Warped were actually weaves that Eliza did for him.

And now they're saying that he fucked his hair up so bad with the bleaching he had to do to get it Ronald McDonald red that he's wearing a piece in the back again.

Where did you hear about the nose job? Would she be able to afford it?

He's always had a very distinctive crown, but I wouldn't think he was pre-maturely balding. Someone would have noticed a weaver - even people like Beyonce Knowles who have that stuff done by the best in the business get caught out having one.

Anonymous said...

Would she be able to afford it?

Maybe with the money Gerard had to pay her to keep her trap shut?

Anonymous said...

I wish she'd have kept her mouth shut. I would never had been traumatised by the story of "Emma".

Even with the schnozz, Eliza was prettier than LynZ.

Anonymous said...

I hate myself for saying this but, I think Eliza looks really pretty in her new profile pic on MySpace.

I think she can look really pretty if professional photographers take pictures of her.
But then, anyone can.
This looks like a picture taken from a pro.
Also, we all know what magic Photshop and a professional makeup artist can do to a person's looks. And it's not a close up of her face.
I also don't think that she would be a person to have plastic surgery in her face.
Someone who's not content with their looks doesn't post so many pictures of themselves on the internet.

Where did you hear that rumor? If this is true, I almost feel sorry for that poor sod.

If it's just a hairpiece he's wearing to hide a bald spot, it could be possible that no one has noticed it so far.
Beyonce and John Travolta both wear wigs. It's much easier to spot those than hairpieces.

Anonymous said...

I was always a little suspicious of that red patch. His hair looked a lot thicker when he had it. Somebody needs to find a picture.

Anonymous said...

I thought that was a pic of Jeffree Star. That doesn't look like Eliza. Just goes to show you what a wig and a couple layers of makeup can do.

Anonymous said...

He looks like he has a bald spot because he doesn't wash his hair and his scalp is so white against that dirty black hair. That scalp just shines through.

Anonymous said...

Sometimes I wish that I had gotten my nose fixed when I was a lot younger. Then I think, I don't know, that seems so vain. I don't want to be about looks, and I don't want to care about them, and I sure don't want to be so focused on my own, with such negative hangups. SOciety is such that it's deemed okay to make fun of people based in things that they can't help: looks, ethnicity, things like that.

I don't want to play into the hands of those people.

However, I can see Eliza doing something like that. I'm not saying that she did, but she is rather focused on looks and image, so it wouldn't surprise me.

And if she had, I can't judge. Because god knows I've been tempted to do the same thing, so often. I just don't want to cave in to that standard.

Anonymous said...

Eliza dyed that red spot on the back of his head. I think she called it an inverted teardrop.O_O Very EMO. I guess he wanted "sad hair"

Oh please, Gerard Way is just another scumbag who happens to work in the rock industry. And like your stereotypical rock industry scumbag, he married someone on par with him.

Don't care if we're no big loss, it's not important; they're just after the money. It's not going to stop us coming here to bitch about them either.

Oh my God. Gerard looks like he's wearing a yarmulke in that video!

Gerard on DR: I kinda wanted to make that song a part of that era...

It's all about him. There was a time when he said things like 'we' when talking about a new song or album but I think he doesn't give a shit anymore to make his band mates appear like being on a par.

Uncle Fester

L. M. F. A. O.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is pure genius!

Did he ever once say "we" in that interview?

If those other guys are just going to sit back and put up with that kind of shit they deserve a good ass-kicking.

Oh God, you guys really want to make me piss myself today, don't you?

Has somebody the link for this interview on MTV? It's in better quality than the youtube one. I think you can see a bit of Uncle Fester when he turns to Bob and Frank.

Gerard Way is the quintessential salesman. Once he puts his rawksta suit on, it's all systems go...and loads of bullshit.

There's a link to it on the LJ posted.

Yes, you can. His hair looks a bit flatter and in the back than it does in the front as well.

Oops, there's an unecessary "and" in that comment.

He has a cows lick on the crown of his head. If it's not kept short it looks like a bald spot.

What is cows lick?

Anonymous said...

It's a part of hair that doesn't grow in the same direction as the rest of your hair so it creates a gap.

He used to have a cowlick on the back of his head. Now it's a bald spot.

That much scalp doesn't show through a circular crown. The dude's going bald.

The dude's going bald.

Then the nose hair should follow soon.

I know a lot of men who have a woodle on the back of their head, but there is a difference between a regular old woodle and going bald.

Not that there's anything wrong with going bald, because it does happen to most men.

Except for my one uncle. O_O

Aaah! I was already asking myself why a cow should lick his head?

Isn't cowlick and crown the same thing? I'm a bit confused.

Also, I don't think that you could see a cowlick/crown that clearly from so far away. Even if his hair is greasy and sweaty.

And don't forget the ear hair! ^_^

It's when your hair at the crown grows in a circle. OMG a crop circle! He is an alien!

And don't forget the ear hair! ^_^

Ah yes! Very sexy! Seems natures way to compensate for hair loss everywhere else.

I think he will soon start wearing hats or caps like the singer of the 'Scorpions' (Klaus Meine) or 'AC/DC' (Brian Johnson).

And sales of hats/caps will go up in hot topic.
