So since the last time I posted, apparently LynZ and Kitty did an interview where they said that people who don't like them are "fat" and "sit around eating crisps all day". This goes really well with her saying that she is "inspirational". Very mature of them. But that is to be expected from MSI members who think that slur words are funny.
Also MCR released a video for Desolation Row and LynZ is in it. Not surprisingly.
Wow good thing she doesn't want to be associated with MCR! Of course the fact that they are both lying when they say that is old news.
Ex fans are calling them My Mindless Chemical Self Indulgent Romance. Or other variations of that. That name seems very appropriate.
Again I just want to say..... I never censor this blog. I don't care what you all say. I just want you to have a place to day it. I don't agree that LynZ or Gerard should be picked on for their looks when it is their actions that are disgusting. I don't think that "fat" should be an insult (like LynZ seems to think)..... but you say what you want.
Also, to address one more thing. This has always been my blog. Verita Venom. That's my name up there. While I don't LIKE the arguing that sometimes goes on here I also will not try to stop it. Like I said, it is not my time they are wasting, it is theirs. Telling people to leave this blog is not appropriate. The only line I draw here, is slur words. All opinions are welcome. If fangirls come in complaining about everyone here, they are also allowed. You can say what you want to them but you can't ask them to leave or go to another blog. Well you CAN tell them that but nothing is going to enforce it so it's a little pointless. This blog is open to all and it always has been.
Also due to the nature of the things happening at certain other blogs in the last few months, I would also draw the line at people's information getting posted, and anyone who gets into the REAL LIFE of others. I think anyone would admit that Gerard's behavior has been the strangest and the most public, but the other guys are not without fault.
Bob's an asshole and he's proven that more than once. I knew it a long time ago when he dissed The Used in an article when asked about the 'feud' between Bert and Gerard. How strange that he was the only member of MCR who really said anything publicly against The Used when he wouldn't even have a career if it hadn't been for them. But then, Bob has never tried to hide the fact that he's a jackass.
Then there's Mikey who took a sixth month 'honeymoon'. *rolls eyes* His substance abuse and mental illness issues would have gotten him thrown out of the band if he'd been anyone other than Gerard's brother.
I never bought the Saint Frank bullshit either. I think he's just better at keeping his stories straight than Gerard.
I don't really know much about Ray. He seems like a decent guy, but look at the company he keeps. Either he's an ass too or he has an amazing ability to ignore everything that's going on around him.
4:19; I had my suspicions and Frank has always struck me as pretty sincere when he was talking about the things he believed in. OTOH I thought Gerard was sincere, too.
On the other, other hand, I've met Frank and he is a super nice guy; it's hard to imagine that it would be an act. I saw Gerard in person and he was NOT nice. Frank didn't have to be as nice as he was. Gerard didn't have to be as rude as he was. So my opinion may be a little skewed.
Also, seeing Gerard live was a revelation; not the good kind. He was so frigging arrogant. And he had little to justify his arrogance at that point.
Frank is definitely not a "saint" though or anywhere near it. In my estimation, he just tries to be human, which is more than could be said for someone like Gerard. And yeah, I guess Bob too. I really don't know much about Mikey one way or the other.

I don't know what the fuck is wrong with Gerard, but if you go back and watch that interview from the London Paper from early 2007, he seems like a totally different person from the guy in who did interviews during PR and right after. And the guy who did the recent MTV interview seems to be a different guy than the other two.
I can't exactly put my finger on it, but watching the different Gerards from different times gives me the creeps.

It's kind of weird how Gerard talks about "raising a kid" in a post 9/11 world in that Londonpaper interview. It's almost like he was thinking about it himself. I wonder if he thought Eliza was pregnant at the time?
Well, everything is speculation based on observation and none of us here is a professional, so there's that.
I also believe that we have a name for everything, and that everything is a "disorder." Can someone just be a total jerk and not in need of medication? ;) I've met plenty of mentally ill people (I really have,) as well as addicts, who were not nasty people at all. I realize that nastiness, arrogance, etc. can be symptoms of some "disorders" I guess.

From the things I've seen of Watchmen, there are parts I think I'm going to hate. Like the fact that they actually call the masked vigilantes "The Watchmen" in the movie? WTF? They don't have a name or any kind of organization after the original "Minutemen" disbanded, and they don't need to beat the audience over the head with that title. The graffiti on the wall during the police strike should suffice.
Also, in the clip where Jon goes into the I.F. Chamber, he says it's because he left "his watch". It was Janey's watch and that was very important because it relates to the character's back story and the continuing motif of watch cogs which underscores Dr. Manhattan's relationship with time, what with his father being a watch repairman and the Einstein quote about becoming a watchmaker...and that makes me wonder what other stupid shit they did to pander to the lowest common denominator in this film?

He used to talk a lot about X-Men, Preacher and Sandman back then, but the only thing I remember him saying about Watchmen is that he got the title of GOY from the ads for Nostalgia perfume in Watchmen.
You notice that back when Gerard was first doing TUA, he went on and on about Grant Morrison and Doom Patrol being a huge inspiration to him. Then he and Grant became friends, they were even on a panel together at comic con. Fast forward a year and suddenly it’s the Watchmen that was such a huge influence to him and he and the director are now friends. It seems that Gerard changes to his story to fit in with whoever he is trying to get in with at the time.

Believe it or not, my screen name was not inspired by MCR at all. I got it from the title of the second Buffy the vampire slayer video game. It was called Chaos Bleeds.

With all the talks about Lyn-z's monkey rental & designer bag, I'm suprised that no one talks about Alicia's expensive pets. FYI, a maine coon kitten costs $400-$1000 and a shar pei puppy costs at least $650, and I dont think she's paying for those pets through her "modelling" jobs.
Monkey rental is somewhat different than buying an expensive purebred pet. I don't have a problem with that at all (although I do take issue with dressing cats up in costumes). And it's Mikey's business if he wants to support Alicia.
Also, with regards to the designer handbag, I wouldn't have a problem with it if not for the fact that it goes against everything "punk" (which Lindsey claims to be) is supposed to stand for.
Seriously, I don't think it's a bad thing for someone to buy expensive gifts for their spouse. It's just that when that gift either a)promotes animal cruelty (the monkey) or b)screams hypocrisy (the expensive handbag), it becomes an issue.
And it's Mikey's business if he wants to support Alicia.
The only problem I had with Mikey supporting Alicia was back when she was part of WMHC and trying to pass herself off as a role model.
This isn't the 1950s when the highest thing a young girl can aspire to is snagging a successful husband. If she chooses to let a man support her it is her business, just so long as she isn't encouraging other girls to follow in her footsteps.

Gerard said that it was because he was such a huge Watchmen fan (next week he will say he was a huge batman fan should they be asked to do the soundtrack). Though I'm a huge Watchmen fan and Zack Snyder didn't ask me to do it :) Frankly, I think anyone could have done a better job, DR was just awful.

If I'm not mistaken, Martha uses spell check. Yes, sometimes she uses the wrong word because her spellcheck replaces a misspelled one with something else, but I don't think she makes up words and the last time I looked, mainstreat wasn't a word.

Ah, those were the days.
When I listen to that DR cover, I hear elements from at least three different songs by other bands: the riff from Talk Dirty to Me (which has already been metioned by someone else), Jimi Hendrix' rendition of The Star Spangled Banner during the guitar solo, and The Who's Won't Get Fooled Again in the finale. And I only listened to the stupid thing twice! I don't want to listen again for fear hearing something else they ripped off.
I'm wondering what makes gerard way circa 2005 good looking compared to how he looks now?
In 2005, Gerard was usually dressed well, he was clean-looking, and his hair was not greasy and unkempt. More importantly, his attitude was totally different. He seemed like a nice guy, which made him infinitely more attractive.
I would like to add that in 2005, Gerard's smiles seemed genuine. They lit up his entire face. Now they don't even reach his eyes.
Someone here once said that he has dead eyes now. I think that's a pretty accurate description.

He wasn't jaded like he is now. When he first started out he was not used to getting so much attention. He had to rely on being a good person. Over time enough people told him how "hot" he was and he started to believe it and he got away with being a rockstar with a big ego.I guess he just lost that good person he was inside.

The thing is, I don't believe he was ever really "hot". I thought he was pleasant to look at, but I wouldn't have described him as hot. He was just too nerdy to be hot.
But now...there really is nothing less appealing than some guy who thinks he's "hot". In my opinion the "hottest" guys don't seem to be aware of their hotness.

I know how you feel. I will never be able to see the band, especially Gerard, in the same way ever again. The way he acted at PR was just so different from everything else I'd ever seem of him. For a long time I tried to convince myself that something was wrong to make him act like that, but now it really doesn't matter. No matter what he does from now on, I can never respect him the way I once did.
Oh well. I guess this has been a learning experience if nothing else. I won't be so quick to believe anyone's b.s. next time around.

Here's a reason possibly why Gerard never mentioned Dylan until now: it wasn't relevant. He's not about to spew every single band and artist he likes at once. For instance, he'd never mentioned Queen or Pink Floyd before TBP, because they really didn't fit in with the other 2 albums.
So what many of you may see as him mentioning whatever band is convenient for him at the time, may be nothing of the sort.
