So since the last time I posted, apparently LynZ and Kitty did an interview where they said that people who don't like them are "fat" and "sit around eating crisps all day". This goes really well with her saying that she is "inspirational". Very mature of them. But that is to be expected from MSI members who think that slur words are funny.
Also MCR released a video for Desolation Row and LynZ is in it. Not surprisingly.
Wow good thing she doesn't want to be associated with MCR! Of course the fact that they are both lying when they say that is old news.
Ex fans are calling them My Mindless Chemical Self Indulgent Romance. Or other variations of that. That name seems very appropriate.
Again I just want to say..... I never censor this blog. I don't care what you all say. I just want you to have a place to day it. I don't agree that LynZ or Gerard should be picked on for their looks when it is their actions that are disgusting. I don't think that "fat" should be an insult (like LynZ seems to think)..... but you say what you want.
Also, to address one more thing. This has always been my blog. Verita Venom. That's my name up there. While I don't LIKE the arguing that sometimes goes on here I also will not try to stop it. Like I said, it is not my time they are wasting, it is theirs. Telling people to leave this blog is not appropriate. The only line I draw here, is slur words. All opinions are welcome. If fangirls come in complaining about everyone here, they are also allowed. You can say what you want to them but you can't ask them to leave or go to another blog. Regarding grown up men liking MCR I think it is very limited, (or any men for that matter).
I have a very good English male friend who is very into the music scene. He is in his early 30's and has been obsessed with music of all types (mainly rock) since he was about 12 yrs old. When I said he should check out MCR (about 3 ish yrs ago) he refused point blank. He was like "they are a teenie girls band". I said, come on check them out, so what if they are a teenie girls band, they have some fuckin great stuff. He never did. He took the piss out of me cos I am late 20's and liked them. At the time I wished he had checked them out, they did write some great songs.
Now I am kind of glad he didn't cos I am a bit embarrassed about them now. Not the music, I don't mind the new single. But just the stupid baggage they carry around with them. Actually, I can be quite silly and childish myself but what pisses me off about Gerard is that he is either totally silly or plays the über-grown-up. There's nothing in-between.

When I was at Projekt Revolution, there were a couple of very preppy, conservative-looking guys in their late twenties or so who came to see MCR because they liked The Black Parade. My friend and I were right next to them and they talked to us the entire time.
After Gerard came onstage and started singing(?) and prancing around like an asshole and all the young girls started screaming and trying to videotape everything on their stupid cell phones instead of watching the show, the one right next to me said, "That guy can't sing." And the other guy started comparing them to a boy band and the other guy said, "But boy bands can sing."
By the time Gerard got to Prison and the shirt and bases thing, they left to go to get concessions, which was pretty cool because they brought me and my friend drinks. :)
I don't think those guys will be buying any of MCR's records in the future.

I found it rather odd that Gerard stood there silently and looked kind of uncomfortable while Ray actually did the introduction, especially considering that a)Gerard always does the talking and b)Gerard is the one who writes a comic book and they were at an event full of comic book geeks.
Then I went back and looked at the full size picture of the three of them at that event (link) . Gerard's eyes do look very strange, as though he's been taking a stimulant of some sort. Purely speculation, of course, but I remember how the band used to want Mikey to keep his mouth shut when he was doing drugs.

There were two different stories circulating at the time regarding the things Gerard wrote on his body back then.
The first was that it was a kind of therapy for him. Supposedly he felt a lot of anger at himself and he was calling himself things like "fairy", "cunt", etc. to help him get rid of that anger. And no, that didn't make any damn sense to me, either.
The second (and this was the one I believed at the time) was that he would write on his body the things that some people would call him. Like if he was at a show and a bunch of guys called him a fairy, he'd write "fairy" on himself to show them that those were just words and that they had no power over him.
Now I don't really give a shit anymore. I just think it's totally batshit.

First of all, Gerard's eyes are not that light. They're hazel/green and pretty damn close to being the same color as Mikey's. I'm pretty sure Ray's eyes are hazel as well.
Secondly, if there was any light being reflected back from his eyes because of their "light" color, it would be in the form of red eye -- not "stoned eye."
I honestly do not see anything wrong with Gerard's eyes in that pic. So either he's not high, or he's high in every single picture ever taken of him.
It could be a trick of the light, I suppose, but to me the pupil of his right eye looks blown. It's only visible it the larger pic and granted, I have very good resolution on my computer and maybe you don't, but I can see what the op was talking about.

Um, I read that interview but there were no comments by Lindsey about Gerard. When did they give that interview in the first place?
There were two different stories circulating at the time regarding the things Gerard wrote on his body back then.
The first was that it was a kind of therapy for him. Supposedly he felt a lot of anger at himself and he was calling himself things like "fairy", "cunt", etc. to help him get rid of that anger. And no, that didn't make any damn sense to me, either.
The second (and this was the one I believed at the time) was that he would write on his body the things that some people would call him. Like if he was at a show and a bunch of guys called him a fairy, he'd write "fairy" on himself to show them that those were just words and that they had no power over him.

What really makes me angry about this is that Gerard made it all the harder for me to trust men who claim that they respect women and look down on misogynists.
I was never a gullible person when it comes to that subject and when guys started to talk about how they despise watching all those rap videos and listening to the sexist lyrics I was even more alert and was looking for proof that they were saying the truth. Many times I had to find out that they were only lying to impress me and to make me want to be with them. Of course, I was lucky enough to see and experience that there were a few who could stand the test and weren't trying to trick me but I have the feeling that they've become a rare breed because, let's face it, if teenage girls have idols and role models like Gerard Way, Bob Bryar or even a woman herself like Lindsey Way, who 'inspire' them to find it cool to use the c-word and that it is just a joke or that you only have to go on stage with a short skirt but no bass playing skills whatsoever to go ahead in life, then why should young boys think that all of the above is something that should not be tolerated?
If women are willing to accept this then why shouldn't men?
That's why I'm hoping that Gerard will be having a daughter.
I so hope that with a daughter he will be forced to see life with the (hopefully) concerned eyes of a father who wants to give his child the opportunity to grow up in an environment where nobody refers to her as a cunt or asks her to show her tits to get something she wants.
Maybe, he will be smart enough then to take the chance and at least change the life of one girl and thinks about his lost chance to change the lives of thousands of girls while being in a band.

I have not been here in a while and I have to say that I'm really surprised by all of the comments, but even more surprised when I go to the old communities I used to frequent and see how interest in MCR has declined. Apart from a few loons, it seems that not all that many people are even interested in the "Wayby", or the new record.
Desolation Row has not even crossed my radar, even though I am a Watchmen fan. I haven't watched the video and haven't heard the song and I doubt that I will until the end credits of the film.
I haven't heard or read anything about Leathermouth either. It's so odd when you get away from MCR sites and communities; it's like MCR doesn't really exist out in the "real world".
And MSI? Forget about it. Mention them to most anyone and you'll get a response of "Who?". Of course, I don't live in the UK, so I'm not constantly having to look at their faces all over Kerrang! at my local newsstand. Lucky me.
I think MCR has run its course, at least in the US. Regardless, I don't really care anymore. I find I'm much happier when I don't read about them, hear about them, or even acknowledge their existence.

She was living in the Quad cities at this time, and even though it sounds easy, it was challenging because to get anywhere was hard. She was a full time student, didn’t have a lot of money and wasn’t making a lot of money. She found that the bands liked having her around. In her own words, “They could have gone to a salon or stylist and booked an appointment that suited them, but instead, they chose to have me stay with them to do their hair cuts and colors. I would make sure it was right, and that can take time.”

No, when the band recorded Bullets, Gerard hadn't even met Eliza yet. And besides, he always talked about his girlfriend being back in New York. And remember the "apartment in Queens" thing. He even talked about how much he hated leaving his girlfriend in their new apartment to go out on Warped 05, and Eliza was doing hair at Warped that year. Also, Eliza was in LA with the band when they were recording TBP, so the story about him flying back to Queens to break up with the other girlfriend doesn't fit.

Yes, but when was that? I don't know but in that article it says that Eliza met Gerard in 2004 at a MCR merch booth and I'm asking myself if that's even possible? If they already had those screaming fan girls lusting after him then how was he able to talk to her at the merch booth without fan girls trying to jump at him all the time?
No, they got the screaming fans in early to mid 2005. If it was 2004, especially if it was earlier in the year, they were a (relatively) invisible band then.
Hmm, that's weird. Because I remember that they started showing the Helena video here in Germany in early 2004 and when I watched interviews with them on Fuse and MTV from that time, they already had the attention of the fan girls back then.

I was at both Warped 04 and 05. In 04 it wasn't unusual to see any of the band members just out strolling the grounds. Nobody gave a shit really. They didn't start getting fangirls until the spring of 2005 when Helena was all over FUSE and MTV.
Three Cheers wasn't even released until June, 2004. I'm Not Okay didn't take off in the states until way after that. The band actually made two videos for it before they filmed Helena. Helena wasn't released as a single until March of 2005.

Yes, I'm a friend of Eliza's and I know I'm going to be flamed for this, but it's time someone told the truth. Problem is, you people can't handle the truth.
He's using again. Why do you think he and Eliza broke up? It's not the first time he's slipped up, but this time Eliza wasn't there to help get him back on track. It started not long after he left the country this last time. Eliza knew. All the signs were there. The sunglasses, the erratic behavior, the sudden weight loss.
Don't believe me? Watch some interviews. Notice how twitchy he is. Count how many times he rubs his nose.
Eliza was frantic. She called and messaged him day and night, but he only got angry and accused her of trying to control him. Finally he stopped taking her calls and took off the ring.
All of you hated Eliza but the fact is she devoted nearly every waking moment to trying to help Gerard stay clean. She loved him. This other person that all of you are so thrilled about will only encourage his drug use.

I don't think it's bullshit. In fact, I believe every word. I do think Eliza loved him and wanted him sober (she did love the attention too and got everything she deserved though). I think he's back on drugs. I can see him breaking up with her because she was trying to help him, which he stupidly thought as beign controlling. If Miss E did write it then, good on her! He should be called out if he's being so dumb as taking drugs again.
There was another anonquestions post that was going on about how Eliza had been helping Gerard stay sober since Warped (either 04 or 05, I can't remmber) that was made when Gerard and Eliza were still engaged. People thought it was written by Miss E too.
I've been trying to find it, but anonquestions is hard to wade through. :(
