I believe this blog is more about the people here who come to chat than it is about some stupid sexist band. But, I like the fact that there is a place for everyone to vent about these particular sexists bands, as well as other issues that might be on your mind. I think this blog has grown a lot.
In the past few months we've seen another celebrity lose it and start screaming racist and sexist things (Mel Gibson) and there was some discussion about that too. I personally don't see too much of a difference between Mel Gibson screaming the N word and talking about rape and "bitches" MSI screaming the N word and talking about rape and "bitches". Hate speech is hate speech. Except Mel Gibson seriously wants to hurt people and MSI just seem to think it's funny. It still creates an atmosphere that welcomes hate and violence towards women, by laughing about it and thinking it's so funny.
One thing I want to say here is that I believe the regulars here are too smart to honestly believe that Gerard Way's hair color or other random things has anything to do with pregnancy. I see a lot of trolls coming in pretending to be "someone from VVs" and putting forward these ridiculous theories. I think they're trying to make people here look like they are illogical.
And I know that many people here have spoken out against calling them "fat" or "ugly". So many of you have posted over and over again how you don't care about that. You call people out on their behavior, and things they can help, things they do on purpose..... not how they look. That's what I like about this place.
But from what I can see a lot of the trolls keep bringing those things up, trying to reduce this blog to their level. I said it before and I'm saying it again. The regulars here are not like that and probably know what you're up to.
If you don't like it here, that's fine, you can stay at all your other blogs. Or you can enter into an intelligent conversation. But if all you have to offer is "LOL hair color = pregnancy" or "LOL that woman is FAT" then just know, officially, this blog doesn't welcome that and neither do the regulars.

You are only as good as the company you keep so you have to wonder what Frank's friends are really like. I also wonder what the rest of the band thinks about his hate speech and I'd love to know why so many fans will defend it, probably the same fans who call them Saint Gerard and Saint Frank. Go figure.
V, you've always been a great hostess, unlike some other blogger I can mention. You are polite to the people who post here, you keep posting so that we have a new place to talk. I don't even know your real name and you don't know mine but you always treat us with respect, talking TO us instead of at us.
In case you missed it, Mayo's is shut down unless she makes another post. (Yes I think it's a she). They shut off comments after 10,000 so now it's done.
I say we probably have to prepare for a bunch of morons from over there, coming over here so that they have something to do with their lives. I would not be surprised if our trolls doubled.
VV already spoke up about the "double bluff" trolls and I agree with what she said.
Can we agree to ignore the Mayo-rejects who will make their way over here to make trouble?
Oh my gosh - really? Mayo's is gone? I daren't even check; I don't want it to be just a rumor.
I'm glad.
*Raises a glass high*
Cheers, to Mayo's, the place where I made some good friends, the place that got me out of a dead end job, and the place that taught me caution, and the ugliest side of the internet.
Yawn.
Mayo's is gone? Wow, never thought that place would end.
True though, trolls will probably end up here. sigh...
I don't believe it was all Trolls who voiced an opinion on GW's hair colour, and the ridiculous notion that it signalled a new pregnancy (not saying she is or is not pregnant, I have no idea of course)
Just saying, sadly, that the level of intelligence displayed here of recent months has dropped considerably from previous times.
Unfortunately the more mature and thoughtful Anons seem to have moved on. The majority here now only talk about inane topics, mainly involving MSI and LW.
These subjects are re-hashed time and time again.
Yawn fest.
Face it, Mayo's has gone.
This place should follow.

Says the person that couldn't get into Mayo's. ^_~
It's only a matter of time before they go commenting on the old posts, anything just to stay there.
Can we agree to ignore the Mayo-rejects who will make their way over here to make trouble?
If you look back, there were people from Mayo's that used to come here. Not the one's that stirred up all of that ugliness over there, but the one's that were smart and funny and brought up good points. I wish they would come back here.
It's only a matter of time before they go commenting on the old posts, anything just to stay there.
Makes you wonder why after all of this time they couldn't made another blog to talk to each other. Makes me feel like they wanted a certain person to read what they wrote even though they have been MIA a long time ago.
Not gonna happen 1:52,
As with anything there will be good and bad, ups and downs,
It's also reflected in this blog, there will be silly things posted, crazy notions and the downright mean, but through it all common sense will prevail as the majority of the people here are actually sensible caring people contrary to what others think.
Hello.
anon 3:53 My name's Welshie and I'm a 'Mayo reject'.
I'm not smart or funny and I've never once brought up any good points:(
I would though like to leave a comment here if that's ok with everyone.
Now as you all know Mayo's gone and bloody locked me out. Today of all days. You see I'm not sure if the anons who've been leaving good wishes for my sister over at Mayo's actually read here, but on the off chance that they do, well, *drum roll* it was good news, she got the all clear, doctor's couldn't find any more signs of cancer. The gruelling treatment was worth it. I'd promised to let everyone know the outcome be it good or bad.
Verita if I've done wrong by commenting here then by all means delete my comment. I'm sorry to impose but I didn't know what else to do.
*waves to Kapunua*
'ello petal, long time no see:)
Welshie you are welcome here anytime! I do think you are smart and funny! You are sweet and thank you for letting us know about your sis. I'm glad she is okay and that must be a relief for her and your family!
Welshie, I think you're smart and funny. And, while I haven't read what's been going on with your sister, that's fabulous, wonderful news.
Welshie, do me a huge favor and google "Essiac tea" okay? :D
Best to you and yours!
Welshie, i just wanted to add that you don't have to be a MCR hater to come here. Everyone that wants to comment here is welcome but with any blog i guess we get those that what to come in here and to tell us to get a life and such.I don't ever have anything smart to say either but most of the people who post here can be quite funny whether it be about Gerard's yellow hair or about some of the not so fabulous songs.
I just gotta say one more thing about Mayo's. Crap! It's like watching one of your favorite shows and the electricity going out before you get to see how it ended! It should of ended with the blog owner saying i am.... I would like to know who it was because i'm just nosey like that! After all that time I think the end should of been more dramatic than ! LOL!
It's like watching one of your favorite shows and the electricity going out before you get to see how it ended! It should of ended with the blog owner saying i am....
...a silly person with a small penis.
Hi Welshie,
I was one of the many anons that used to leave messages for you over at Mayo's.
I am so pleased for your sister and yourself, and smiling super wide at your news!
Hugs to you and your family. :)
Haha, the spinning top. ;D

Hi Welshie, just wanted to say congrats to you and your sister. I'm so happy she got such good news. That's wonderful to hear, thank you for find a way to let us know. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts, M. Reject #4. :)
Welshie, I am also wishing your sis the best.
That's great news welshie. Especially after the loss of your cousin. Your family needed some good news. Best wishes. :)
Mayo's reject #5
Mayo rejects. Just letting you guys know you can contact Welshie at Elena's - thanks
So much for everyone being welcomed here unless they're here just to start trouble. I didn't think wishing Welshie and her family well would be considered starting trouble.
My bad.
Welshie should just get her own blog. That way anyone who wanted to contact her could.
As usual people who come and twist things. Hint 10:01.
Good idea 10:03.
Thanks for the new post Verita. Must admit the hair color conspiracies made me laugh! One thing, he doesn't look particularly healthy in the photo posted by 8:16.
Welshie should just get her own blog. That way anyone who wanted to contact her could.
Typical troll. Wonder who? LOL.
Gerard looks much healthier in those pictures than Mikey Way.

Someone's trying to look like Kurt.
Or trying to tell you someone(like his wife) is pregnant.
I think most of the people who post here regularly (with the exception of the "Lindsey is the DeviL" and "Gerard has blond hair because Lindsey is pregnant" trolls) welcome Welshie with open arms. Same goes for the "Mayo rejects" (although I dislike the term 'reject') who are civil to us and aren't here to cause trouble.
The more the merrier, I say. It would be great if we could be more of a community here and talk about things other than Gerard/MCR.
I love that you made an Inception reference, Kapunua. I loved that film and think it's easily the best one I've seen all year. Although I don't think it's as complicated as many people are trying to make it out to be, I love that it assumes its audience has a brain. I also loved the "spinning top" at the end.
Welshie, you know me as the "Ours Anon". I've been posting here for a long time and I used to go to Mayo's occasionally, usually just to leave a link about something I really love in the hopes that I could turn someone else onto it. Most of the folks at Mayo's never bit anything -- but you did and I loved you for that. I'm very happy about your sister and I hope we see you here often.
Wow, I say the word "love" a lot, don't I? Lol. Oh well, so much for 24/7 negativity, huh?
"Lindsey is the DeviL"
Don't give her too much credit. She's just an idiot who made good.
Does anyone even care if Lindsey is pregnant? I know I don't.
I don't think anyone cares.
Well bugger me!! Is that really you Ours anon? I can tell you now that I'm still listening to them. So thanks for that.
Thank you all for your welcome and your kind words about my sister.
Kapunua, Essiac tea? okey dokey then, will do:)
Didn't mean to start any bad feeling amongst you by commenting here. Sorry 'bout that:(
You didn't cause any bad feelings Welshie! It's the trolls who want you to think we don't want you here.
Ah thanks 9:01. I really should stop being so sensitive you know. I'm my own worst enemy at times:(
Inception was amazing! IMO, the top wobbled at the end and I thought I heard it fall just as the screen faded to black...
Could just be wishful thinking on my part though. :/
haha i hated inception! XD i thought it was a load of nonsense, there was no story to it, you never knew anything about the characters and it tried too hard to fool you, which just got annoying and didn't make it enjoyable to watch! and in a film when it gets to the point where it's a dream, within a dream, within a dream, within a dream...you've lost it! but... yeah i thought i heard the top drop at the end too :)

It's really me, Welshie. I'm so glad I could introduce you to one of my favorite bands and I'm thrilled that you still like them. :D

I thought the same thing! Not to be too spoiler-y or anything (WARNING: PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM YET, DO NOT READ), but I think Dom's real totem was actually his wedding ring. He always had it on in dreams but never in real life. People have said that the kids were the same age in the end, but if you look really closely (and I've seen the film 3 times) they are a bit older in the end. Also, Phillipa is wearing a different outfit with a t-shirt under her dress and different shoes and James' hair is a bit longer.
Besides, I want a happy ending, so dammit, I choose to believe the top fell. ~_^
6:58, I didn't think it was that complicated either! It was cool, neat ideas and a really awesome zero gravity fight scene. But I still think The Matrix was better. ;)
Welshie, you didn't cause any trouble. The anon who told you to go away and the one who said "SEE! THEY'RE TELLING HER TO GO AWAY" are the same person. I have an idea who it is too, but who cares.
12:30 and everyone beyond, there's this thing called A SPOILER, look into it. Not everyone has seen Inception. And I don't think it's fair to say "this is a spoiler!" and then spoil the ending a single line later. :(
Welshie, def. look into that tea, okay?
like everyone hasn't already read 10,000 spoilers for inception already. they've been all over ontd for days now with party posts and discussions about the ending. i don't think you can be alive and not know about that top. XD
I know a lot of people who haven't seen it or read about it, I know a handful who haven't read about it and who do read this blog too.
So please don't assume that just because something is popular and YOU know about it, that you're not spoiling it for other people.
^sick to death of those party posts, btw. sick of the damn movie. i'd like to go someplace and not have to hear about it.
I didn't know about it before, but then again I'm a spoiler ho, so I'm sure I would have found out about it soonish anyway.
I think spoilers are mean. And I didn't see Inception yet, I'm waiting for my bf to take me.
I don't go on ONTD either.
I would love to see some great music clips or any other topic anyone feels worth posting about on this blog, other than My Blockhead Romance.
it's been my experience that you either get ignored or chastised when you try and post other stuff here. kapunua bitches at you for posting some random band or says you're giving away spoilers if you talk about a movie.
no wonder they threw the bitch out of mayo's.
7:16 she had a valid point, and she wasn't being mean about it unlike you.
Find one instance where I've told someone off for talking about bands? I've posted quite a few links to other bands myself.
I love talking about movies. But yeah, if someone's being rude and spoiling the ending for people who haven't seen it, they need to be told.
Yeah, so pretty much go back to Mayo's and and make up all the stuff about me that you want. Oh, wait, you can't! ;D
Thanks, 7:32.
Oooh, that was a cheap shot, I admit. But for godsakes it's just a crappy blog, after all. ^_^
They can just as easily use older posts if they want. It's unlikely that they would hit 10000 on every single post
Well yes, of course - suppose they could do that. But I doubt it. After all, when they sign out and yammer about how EVIL their ENEMIES are, Mayo won't be around to read it. So what would be the fun in that? I can't see that yammering without the possibility of Mayo's attention would hold any appeal for most.
Stress on most/
Kapu, be honest now. Did you ever think Mayo was Gerard?
I agree with Verita, if people want to vent about blondie and his band they can, and if others want to talk about other things, that's fine too.
Pigs fly too 8:17.
I've never been dishonest - only evasive when people kept on pestering me. Mayo intimated often that s/he wished to remain anonymous. And as a guest at the blog, I just wanted to respect that wish.
But now that the blog seems to be kaput...
I entertained the idea a handful of times, when evidence seemed to be mounting that Mayo was wherever Gerard was. It seemed too elaborate a hoax for a fan to keep track of a band that much, down to the possible road they would be traveling on at a certain time of night, and in a specific town (Choctaw.) So, once in a while I thought it could be him.
But that left a bad taste in my mouth. If you think about it, Gerard Way would no more want to talk to a feminist like me than I would want to talk to a sexist like him. And we did talk, frequently.
What I eventually started to believe was that it was someone in the crew, specifically a light technician or whatever they're called. The guy who sets up the stage lights.
But these days, I'm not even sure if I think that's a possibility. More often than not--and when I think back on the conversations I had with her in chat and email and such--I think it might have been Katherine. Often she'd have this "I should tell you something" vibe.
But I guess I'll never know for sure. I haven't heard from her in ages and I do miss her. I consider Katherine a friend; she's very creative and smart. I wonder what she's up to these days.
As far as Mayo's goes, I guess it would have been nice to have had a "by the way, this is who I really am, thanks for playing with me" thing, but it doesn't really matter anyway. :)
I apologize if I spoiled the ending of Inception for anyone. I honestly did not mean to, which is why I put that "WARNING" bit up. I personally won't read something with a spoiler warning myself, but I suppose I should have considered that other people aren't always like me.
Anyway, I'm sorry and I suppose I deserved to be called out. I just loved Inception so much and I love talking about it so sometimes I get carried away.
Yeah, spoilers really irk me. It takes away the joy of discovering it yourself.
I do have a post in my LJ, if you want to talk about the ending with someone new.
lol
Shut up Kapunua. You'll take any opportunity to talk about the Lovelies and turn them into the bad guys. There's no reason for you to even answer that question but you did anyway.
So how come it's okay for you to have a post about Inception on your LJ with ~spoilers~ if people can't talk about it here?
Typical Kapunua. Do as I say, not as I do.
i wouldn't worry about it 8:41 and i certainly would not apologize to her. you put up a spoiler warning and that should have been enough. she's not the queen of the world, she just thinks she is.
Because, fool, I put the spoilers under a cut so that you can't see them unless you click on the link. Think a little, hmm?.
Also, if I hadn't answered your question about Mayo, it would have been "What a bitch, look, she won't even answer the question."
I could say "You know, my favorite color is red" and your reply would be, "What a bitch, only a true bitch would like that color. Bitch."
Admit it.
Your entire LJ is nothing but pictures that no one wants to see, and whining that no one wants to hear.
Your "bad luck" is just Karma biting you in the ass.
Well, you're certainly there often enough to have an informed decision.
Why do you use hidemyass though? I mean, if I don't already know who you are, it wouldn't matter where you're from, right? You'd just be a nameless blip on a map.
I guess it sucks that I have got you narrowed down though.
No, but seriously, please keep on visiting and reading! Whether or not you think you're "anonymous" or whatever, you do give my LJ tons of hits, making it quite widely read. That's what public LJs are for. :D
BY "decision" I meant "opinion," sorry. Not enough chocolate yet today.
Kapu, thanks for answering the Mayo question.
SS has been gone longer than Mayo.
Did you really believe SS was Frank Iero? Wasn't SS the one who wrote choctaw at his blog?
You're welcome.
Was he the one who wrote Choctaw? I can't remember. Maybe?
I entertained the idea also that SS could be Frank. It seemed so likely sometimes, when he would know so much of what was going on. But I've always said exactly what happened when I met Frank at the show of his (this was before he started showing his true colors too.) He didn't acknowledge that he knew me from Eve.
I have to think that SS really might have been someone who was on the road with them, or something like that. If not, then it was a really, really elaborate scheme. Which I guess would not be the first time something like that has happened.
I entertained the idea of Mayo and SS being the same person.
That's another option.
An elaborate scheme for what reason?
What do you think they were trying to do? Get attention from women.
I don't know. I never really thought about what motive s/he / they might have had. If it was attention, that can be attained through much easier routes than something so elaborate.
What I suspect was that it started out as some kind of defensive reaction, and then snowballed. Whoever it was didn't expect to have a ton of people descend on the blog like that.
And then, for a while, it turned friendly, which was another surprise.
Emergent social behavior turned it into some kind of creation engine, with poetry, art and such - until the unofficial banning of those things.
Then, obviously, it withered on the vine.
I still wonder what kept the blog running for so long. Guilt, maybe.
Other angels have made this war because they hate you, you and all humans. God has put you in his grace and pushed them aside. They're desperate. They've never been able to conquer the other loyal angels, and so this war has remained in stalemate for thousands of years. And while this state of affairs endures no soul can meet its god. Your parents, and their parents, and so on from the beginning lie still in wormy earth. Of course, some of them do come to me eventually, for while heaven may be closed I am always open, even on Christmas.
Great movie.
Totally. Christopher Walken. ^_^
I still wonder what kept the blog running for so long. Guilt, maybe.
I do think it was guilt. There were a couple of people there who seemed to need the blog to validate them and I think Mayo was afraid if he took it away there would be dire emotional consequences for those people. It's sad, but I think some of those folks felt they only existed through Mayo's and without it they wouldn't have meaning in their lives.
Sad.
That seems to be a common perception.
--I think it might have been Katherine. Often she'd have this "I should tell you something" vibe.
I remember when she admitted being Mayo. At the time alot of people were accusing her of it and i don't know if she did it to give the anons what they wanted or if she just wanted to admit it. Alot of people were cool with it, but boy did it cause a total meltdown with some. Maybe that is why she changed her mind about telling the truth, so as not cause a meltdown.
Gloat all you want. Mayo's will always be special and you are the bitter ones who were and are left out of it.
And the truth is, everyone from there knows what a bitch you are.
I know. I practice.
Mayo's will always be special and you are the bitter ones who were and are left out of it.
Lol. Yes, the ones at Mayo's were so special that he left without even telling them goodbye...without even letting them know whether or not he's even dead or alive. That's really special, isn't it?
who believes in god?
And the truth is, everyone from there knows what a bitch you are.
Over there? Where? ^_~
Over there? Where? ^_~
LOL! I was wondering the same thing!
There were a couple of people there who seemed to need the blog to validate them and I think Mayo was afraid if he took it away there would be dire emotional consequences for those people.
That must have been a difficult burden for him/her to bear. I'm glad s/he finally got out from under that, whoever s/he is.
"I know. I practice."
If that was you Kapu, I can see why you are called those names. Because instead of taking the advice of others you just make fun of them. THAT is why you get picked on.
It was me, quoting my new favorite. :)
And how is "You're a bitch and I hate you blargh blargh blargh die die!!111" and other incoherent ramblings of a blog full of psycho-harridans "advice?"
THAT is why you get picked on.
Because I turn your insults back into what they are? Complete jokes?
Hi Kapunua. Yes it was SS who wrote Choctaw on his profile, in response to Mayo having Sharp on his profile. So now you have explained Choctaw, would you please explain what Sharp meant. I never could figure that one out. I think you are right that Mayo might have been a lighting tech or whatever, but I am still convinced SS is Frank.
If I remember correctly, Sharp was a street or something in a place called Choctaw. Or maybe it was the other way around. I really forgot that the two were connected. :) Anyway, after Mayo wrote Sharp, I did some googling and found out that it was a place. Then I found out it was roundabout where they were supposed to be traveling. That's when I wrote "Choctaw" and they both got it. (Maybe you could still google the two words and see where it was, but I've totally forgotten.)
But in fact, I really am part Choctaw - I just needed an excuse to cast that word out there and see if any fishies bit. :)
Also, 99. ^_^
Thank you for explaining, I knew SS wrote Choctaw in response to Mayo's Sharp but I could never make the connection so I just assumed it was something between the two of them. I remember after SS posted Choctaw, Mayo posted 'pleased' on his profile. Perhaps he was testing SS? If Mayo is Gerard, he would be pleased that SS got the reference to their (gerard and frank's) actual location at that moment in time. But I suppose a crew member traveling with them would also know that too. I do still think it's intriguing and a shame neither of them ever actually 'fessed up.
If I googled it, anyone could have. SS wrote Choctaw after I wrote it and everyone assumed that he was just acknowledging Native Americans or something. ;)
They would all get really pissed off at the slightest thought that Mayo or SS would have the nerve to actually answer me.
So yeah, they could have googled it as easily as I could have, and there was never any proof that anyone associated with the band was actually at that exact spot, on that exact road. It was just something Mayo wrote that I answered, and then SS joined in to acknowledge it.
Which, like I said, could have been as simple as googling.
Or, yeah, a crew member. Mayo's references to "light" always seemed a little on the insistent side, so I just kind of made the "light technician" connection.
A lot about that place never added up though. And I'm still kinda convinced that Mayo shared the blog with someone else at first.
I know Katherine's got a brother, so. Who knows?
Or, yeah, a crew member. Mayo's references to "light" always seemed a little on the insistent side, so I just kind of made the "light technician" connection.
When I used to belong to a certain community on lj, one of the members was dating one of their crew. She knew all kinds of information about where they were and what they were doing.
When you consider how many people they had working for them on their tour and how many girlfriends, friends, sisters, cousins, etc., that all of those people have -- well, that's a lot of people who have inside info on the band.
Just like Eliza and the WMHC used to delight in throwing out hints to fans about the band, I could see one (or two) of those inside info folks getting a kick out of writing a blog and getting so many responses from it. People like attention. Some of them will take it any way they can get it. Even pretending to be someone they are not.
Sorry if I ask, but I'm new here. If the person you r talkin about is rly frank, what the hell did he write here?
The reason I think Frank is SS is because of the massive hints he dropped in his skeleton crew newsletters.
Silvia I don't mean to be rude, but nobody knows anything for sure and it's ancient history now. He never wrote here, he wrote at mayo's as anon.
2:32, that's true. I guess they had a lot of people in their group there and surely they all travel together. Remember, the blogs--all of these--began not with Mayo, not even with LoveMan (LMAO) but with iamthespider. And I'm pretty sure that one was legit.
So, it could be that Mayo, even SS were among those "crew" folks.
Or, Katherine. I go back and forth. ^_^
The thing that always got me was that SS would say things that Frank would later say in interviews or write about on S//C.
I never really followed SC that much so I'm not sure about that. I had an account at that page but never really used it. Although didn't he mention the blogs once or something? He might have done.
Remember the mothball post? That convinced a lot of people but some some people wrote on the blog about how it could have been a crew member who knew they were ditching the uniforms that night and Gerard made a point of saying in an interview a few weeks later that it was his idea to ditch the uniforms and he only decided and told the rest if the band ten minutes before going on stage. I felt he labored that point quite a lot. I found it odd.
Also, that whole entire "Pasted anon" thing came out the day before that "OMG I ♥ MSI" interview, anyone remember that?
SS came on basically saying how sorry he was for what he was about to say.
OTOH, a crew member would know about interviews too.
Well, one way or another at Mayo's, the lot of us got played because they both backed out without revealing a thing.
Jeez, I've forgotten a lot. Mayo also posted about the "ceramic mary statues" lining the streets or something when they were in Mexico, I think?
And the whole Texas thing, OMG. Always with the "LOL EVERYTHING BENEATH TEXAS IS HUGE" and then Gerard with his idiotic "Texas" belt buckle.
Obviously those pics were available to the public, however, it does make it a deliberate case of misleading people into thinking you're someone else.
Yet it never bugged me, because I'd always have rathered that Mayo was NOT Gerard. I never wanted to talk to him, so I'd hoped, always, that it was some cool random person who liked poetry and art.
Yeah, he mentioned the blogs and that we 'had homework assignments' after Professor Anon had set homework assignments at Mayo's. He also talked about the Architects and Love Cats before Frank talked about them. He also gave a heads up on LM's debut gig before it was announced, including listing all the unknown support bands. The thing that sealed the deal, Mustard talking to SS and saying "I'd die if Frank did something crazy at the show tomorrow" and SS laughing and saying "Then prepare to die!" and then rapping to fresh prince the next night. Even Gerard said at that show that he didn't know what had got into Frank but he had insisted on rapping and had been practicing all day.
I never thought Professor Anon was SS. Professor Anon was quite rude and SS seemed fairly nice.
Although if it was Frank, obviously he's shown how rude he can get too.
The Fred the Zombie post sure seemed to seal the deal that it was someone at least close to the band.
Sorry I didn't mean SS was Prof Anon, I meant it strongly suggested SS was Frank cos Frank would have had to have read Mayo's to make such a buzzard reference on a record label bulletin. I also think he mentioned on the same bulletin that he was reading Ghandi's autobiography, just days after SS had been raving about Ghandi.
Bizzare, not buzzard. Damn predictive text!
I actually rather liked Mayo as a mystery. It could have been Katherine. Or a crew member who was really interesting and neat.
Or it could have been, like, a crazy person who hid bodies in his trailer. Or Joaquin Phoenix (pre-insanity,) or Leonard Cohen, or Stephen King, or someone hot, or genius, or a random insane fan in the middle of nowhere.
S/he was nice to me though, and in the days before the implied banning of poetry and quotes, it was a rollicking good time. :)
I met some good friends there, who I got to hang with in real life and probably will again. I got the hell out of a dead-end, miserable job when I was too fearful to quit on my own.
So, good came from Mayo. Though I still wish there would have been that "Yeah, this is who I am" post, I guess one isn't necessary.
Anyway, it's done now, thankfully.
Oh, I see what you mean.
LMAO @ Buzzard reference. Made me think of Bugs Bunny. :D
Like that time I meant to write I was hanging garland, and wrote "garlic" instead.
You know what else? I never did find out who Calaf was, either. Remember that anon?
Once or twice, Calaf was Mayo for sure. (Which made me think it was Katherine.) But there was someone else, someone real spooky, and that person is still a mystery to me.
An anon or two followed me over to my LJ, and one of them I talked to quite a bit. But I still don't think it was Calaf.
I seriously would much rather know who Not-Mayo-Calaf was, than who Mayo was.
Yeah, totally agree with you. The mystery was the best part. Shame it turned ugly. I'm glad you got to take away some positive things from it. I did too.
Buzzard reference!
^_^
I'm glad, 3:29. :D
--all of these--began not with Mayo, not even with LoveMan (LMAO) but with iamthespider.
Wasn't that thought to be CJ's blog? Brian's girlfriend at the time?
LOL at the buzzard vid!
LOL Bugs Bunny is always appropriate. :)
CJ, that was her name! Yup, that seemed to be her.
A lot of people suspected CJ and Frank wrote the infamous anonymous letter together. They were united in their strong dislike of Eliza.
I actually think there are a lot of similarities between the way that letter was written and the way SS writes. Just sayin.
I wondered for a long time if maybe SS was Brian Schecter.
Gerard made a point of saying in an interview a few weeks later that it was his idea to ditch the uniforms and he only decided and told the rest if the band ten minutes before going on stage.
I think that was just Gerard being overly dramatic as he is so prone to doing. He likes to act like he's so spontaneous and spur of the moment one minute and then the next he'll turn around and talk about how he plans things for ages.
You can never, ever rely on or believe anything Gerard says in interviews. He's just making things up as he goes along, trying to sound cooler, smarter, deeper or whatever than he actually is.
Kapu, the "protagonist". That brewhaha made it's way over to BN which is how I found out about Mayo's and then about this place (Yes I use to go to BN.... sorry!)
Can you shed some light on what that meant, the Protagonist and how it tied in with MCR?
I wondered for a long time if maybe SS was Brian Schecter.
Could be, even. Or maybe even Mayo was. Who knows? But probably not.
To this day, my money's still on Katherine. :D
The Protagonist.
Gimme a minute, I have to try to figure out when I wrote the poem and posted the photo album, then I'll get back to you. :) I saved all the poems so they should be dated. BRB.
Can you shed some light on what that meant, the Protagonist and how it tied in with MCR?
Kapunua was never "the protagonist." She was talking about a book that both she and Mayo read and some people just wrongly assumed she was talking about herself. The less intelligent people at Mayo's so totally mis-read that one. I lol'd.
^Whoops. Sorry. I guess I was talking about something different. I don't go to BN.
The incident with Pattern Recognition was hilarious, though. It's the last time Mayo ever really communicated with anyone as far as I know and it was with Kapunua.
How that must have driven the "Lovelies" crazy.
How that must have driven the "Lovelies" crazy.
LOL! At times it did! Then an anon would pop in and say something how Mayo wasn't talking to her but someone else and the madness would begin.
Sometime around early November of 07 I guess, I wrote this hugely long poem. This was before Poetrygate. It was a really personal poem actually, and as soon as I wrote it, I deleted it. Mayo was on when I wrote it and when I deleted it too. He popped on to ask if everything was all right, and to ask me to please re-post it. So, I did.
The poem was about something that happened to me, though I didn't specify that.
Then Mayo made a post to "the Protagonist" in early November, with a poem in reply. I didn't realize it was to me.
Shortly after that, I posted a series of photographs for Mayo, as a gift, for being nice about the poem.
On Nov. 6th, Mayo wrote, "The Protagonist makes lovely images. I am particularly fond of 'Row of Lights'..." etc. and continued to talk about the photo album I'd posted to him/her. (If you read that entry, it reads like classic Katherine. :) )
It was a really nice gesture, but some people got angry about it. It was mostly the ones who really wanted it to be Gerard - but the idea that their idol would say something so nice to me sent them into a tizzy.
Fast forward to a few years later (if you can believe it.)
I had quit visiting that damn place, really mostly because a few truly soul-sick people had taken shots at me--signed in and signed out--about the recent loss of my Dad.
But then, I started reading this novel by William Gibson called "Pattern Recognition."
(cont.)
LOL I missed a few comments while i was typing. Just getting up to Pattern Recognition now. Hang on. :D It really is a fantastic novel and I could not BELIEVE how it reminded me of Mayo's.
It is my belief that a lot of ill feeling and resentment stemmed from the fact that both Mayo and SS obviously enjoyed conversing with Kapunua. Ridiculous, but true, nevertheless.
Pattern Recognition is a novel by one of my favorites, William Gibson. In it, the protagonist is a gal named Cayce Pollock.
Cayce lost her dad on 9/11. Cayce's Dad was a security guy, someone she really idolized and loved very much. My dad was a cop who later went into the security business. So immediately I could relate to her.
The other thing was that Cayce had gotten involved in this semi-secret internet community. In the community, a mysterious creator would, once every few weeks or months, release an image or a few scenes from some sort of WIP movie.
No one knew who this creator was. "The footage" was a total mystery. What did it mean? Was it by some famous director? Some random person in another part of the world?
For years, this group of people met at a website to discuss "the footage."
As with most emergent social behavior, it turned ugly. There were a few people on the blog who outright hated Cayce for her views on what "the footage" meant. She was very outspoken about it and she really riled a lot of people.
Also, Cayce began working for a company called Blue Ant. Around the time I was reading the book, I had begun to work for a company with "Blue (random animal) in its name too!
This all resonated so much with me in relation to Mayo, that I went back and recommended s/he take a look at the book, to see if s/he saw "Mayo" in there. In describing it, I told Mayo about the protagonist of the book.
People went ballistic, thinking I was referring to myself.
I guess s/he did find something of worth in the book, because s/he then quoted a section--by page number--of the book that resonated with him/her.
Unfortunately I was reading Pattern Recognition in Kindle and it took me a while to find out which section s/he meant. ;D (And I'm sure some of you remember the crap-storm that my mention of "Kindle" inspired. Yes, Kindles were evil etc.)
Well, folks there went nuts trying to figure out WTF Mayo was talking about, because surely s/he could not have been addressing me. Not after they had spent so much energy telling him/her to hate me.
Then once they googled it and found out it was the same book I'd recommended, they got real quite about it.
That's pretty much most of the story. :)

I thought it was hilarious how people at Mayo's were going nuts trying to figure out what book he was reading. Had it been some random book, they all would have gone out and bought it or checked it out from the library so they could "discuss" it with him. Yet, once they found out that you had recommended it, Kapunua, nobody was the least bit interested in it anymore. The jealousy was so obvious, it's like the blog took on a distinctly green hue.
Oh and that Kindle debate! How ridiculous was that?
I love my Kindle. I don't think it will ever replace books for anyone, but the eReader definitely has it's place. Especially for people who travel a lot (like me). I remember saying so on Mayo's and having a certain 'lovely' (who shall go unnamed) bite my head off.
*its
William Gibson rocks!
It was very weird. Then the next time I came back, I got shouted down, haha.
But if you read the posts that were to me, they really sound more like Katherine than anyone.
I don't know if it was jealousy as much as denial. No one wants to believe it was her - but if Mayo was talking to me, then it pointed to Mayo being her.
Must be confusing, if you're really emotionally invested in something.
I read Pattern Recognition based on your rec, Kapunua and I have to say that it did remind me a lot of Mayo's.
This is like a tell all expose'!
WIlliam Gibson freaking OWNS and I'm glad others read the book. Amazing, right? He has his finger on the pulse of the internet. :D
I love my Kindle, too. It also won't replace actual books--there are ones I'll always want on a shelf--but the books are so cheap, it's so easy to throw in my bookbag and take everywhere, so easy to keep notes. OMG, I love it. :)
If I was at Mayo's these days I'd recommend to him Lord of Light which is effing amazing. Plus Mayo...light... It would have been neat. ^_^
On that note, guys, I gotta bail. I was supposed to have been writing today, and also working on my final paper for school. LOL, yeah, that happened. ^_^
Thanks for hearing me out. I hope I answered the questions everyone wanted to know about. :)
You were the Kool Aid person. :-)
They better never make a crappy film version of Neuromancer. Just sayin.
Yes, I was. And the trouble that caused me, too. ^_~ Ahh. Good times.
Later guys!
Must be confusing, if you're really emotionally invested in something.
I think that was the problem. People just got so emotionally invested in that blog. It's like it took on this gigantic importance which was blown all out of proportion.
It's great that people made friends there, but nobody ever really made "friends" with Mayo or SS. How can you be friends with people that won't even tell you their true identities?
I can see how the friendships became important, but people can carry on friendships via emails and their own blogs and journals. I think either they desperately wanted Mayo to be Gerard so they could feel like they had the attention of an "important" person or they needed the attention of the tons of MCR fans they were sure were reading there daily and hanging on their every word.
Oh gosh, one more thing, how can I resist. 4:25, I agree! Case is one of my favorite fictional crushes. And I idolize Molly. I'd hate it if they ruined them.
they needed the attention of the tons of MCR fans they were sure were reading there daily and hanging on their every word.
But that's so ridiculous. All of the MCR fans from the communities I used to belong to thought Mayo's was a joke. They gave it a cursory read-through in the beginning and a few considered the possibility that Mayo was Gerard for a very short time, but they all quickly decided it wasn't. I don't think there were all that many people who were reading Mayo's and the ones who were (excepting the Lovelies, of course) were just there for the drama and the lulz.

so apparently bob left because he was tired of dealing with divas...
I really enjoyed listening to Kapu open up to everyone today. They have been telling their version of the Mayo story for years. Nice to finally hear her side of it.
http://comments.deviantart.com/5/33925221/1593924328
This actually tells what Bob said about the band (that they were divas) and has a bunch of ex fans agreeing, saying they're disgusted with MCR>
Someone should tell them about here. :)
Who really knows, eh? And like everything, there are always two sides to the story.
Actually Bob was talking about one person in particular.
The sides to that story played out in black and white and are still there for you to read if you like.
The people who were still hanging out at Mayo's in the end were mentally unstable in my opinion. I doubt they can give it up even now. They'll probably check it every day for years.
Funny how people seem to keep leaving that band. Matt, Brian, Bob...
Wonder who will be next.
One by one...it will destroy them all
Lol! Looks like Elena has 'hit the rocks!'
Sad.
You're kidding, right? No one can possibly be that pathetic.
Actually Bob was talking about one person in particular.
Who, Frank?
Jimmy U?
The zoid?
Gerard.
Ahh, so he had a problem making the I love Lindsey album
Yes a big problem. Since the lyrics weren't for Lindsey.
Ignore the troll at 10:16.
To give thanks
For the past few hours, I've been wandering, debating. To post online, no matter the format, is to say you want someone to know.
You want to be heard. There are journals and paper available if privacy is truly what you wished.
My struggle with Bitterness. It ever stands outside my door with a curt grin and a wilted bouquet of orchids. I say no but I let it stand out there. If I was not comforted by its presence, I wouldn't let it hang about.
I didn't have cream for my tea (I've been cheating on my own policy). Went to the only gas station open. As I wandered the aisles, the campy way in which the snack foods displayed themselves like a hooker in hot pink latex...
I found my eyes watering and the corners of my sullen mouth turning up against my will.
This culture I was plopped into is so excruciating and beautiful.
I didn't walk out feeling like a professor that had discovered cold fusion.
But I did remember there are stars and there is warmth.
Listen
Games are all well and good. But playing them in this field under the burning lights exposed for all to see.
Not the way a game of Hide and Seek should be.
There are ways of contacting me that no other can see. If you were sincere, that would already... be up a tree?
I don't know why I started rhyming. But I hope you get my point. This was a silly idea from the beginning, as evidenced by our well meaning visitors.
You want this charade, use other internet ways.

More proof Mayo was Katherine.
I have told you again and again that I will break your spirit and cause you more suffering than your fragile heart thought possible. I am not worth it and you deserve someone who will love and care about you enough to
what am I saying
I can't even finish that sentence.
I am a soul eater.
And I am tired.
I am tired and I am sad and this is why I do not want relationships of any kind because I will hurt the other person and I am selfish because I don't want to be bothered with the pain it causes me.
I saw your eyes get all glassy when I told you no and it broke my heart to do it but because I am a monster I did it anyway.
This is what makes monsters so dangerous. People don't realize that monsters cry and feel pain as well, but they're still a monster.
I think this bares repeating in a more public place.

I had a dream I was 25.... no, I'm really 13
I am in the last stage of grief.
I have passed through the anger.
The rage.
The mourning.
If I could find a blade sharp enough, my hands steady enough, I would cut you out without blinking.
This should have breathed its last months ago.
I guess it's time to cheapen it with poetry.

can we stop dicussing mayos?
no one here gives a shit. if someone hadnt posted i wouldnt have even known it was dead.
as for what bob said. i heard that the fight was with gerard although no one seems to know what it was about.
in conjuncture with the divas statement it sounds like it was about working with him on the album in general. not lindsey.
probably didnt help that gerard randomly decided everything theyd worked on prior to japan was shit.
i think that pissed everyone off. with bobs wrists being the way they are im sure he was downright livid.
then you have that nasty detonator baby shit the roid helped right "after" japan. so yeah. definitely the behavior of a divalicious rawkstar...
(i personally would have quit when he decided to randomly start rewriting lyrics at a cafe in japan.)
gerard way seriously isnt happy unless his life is something out of an indie film...
Does it matter anymore anon? I don't think it does.
An indie film with an all Smiths soundtrack.
To even consider collaborating with the dingbat wife to write their "come back" album is...one can only wonder.
I can't imagine what it would feel like to work for a year on a record and then to have Gerard suddenly decide that it wasn't good enough and that they all needed to go back into the studio. Especially since not all of them actually live in LA and were only renting houses out there to record. Plus, the studio time costs so much money -- money that will cut into any profit the band would make from sales and touring. And what if the stuff Gerard was churning out was crap? What if The Roid really was co-writing the lyrics? That would mean that the Way family (Gerard and wifey) would get a double cut of any profits.
I don't blame Bob for leaving. What I don't understand is why the other guys are still around.
^ this.
How is she entitled to any 'cut' when she's not even contracted by the label?
If she shares in songwriting credits, she'll get royalties.
If Lindsey is considered part of MCR, she'll get a cut. Who do you think makes the decisions about who is in the band?
Gerard.
Why is he allowing that idiot to write their lyrics when she never even contributed to her own crappy band's songs, apart from backbending, crotch flashing and some squid and unicorn drawings?
If she shares in songwriting credits, she'll get royalties.
Isn't that usually determined by a court?
Dying of lol: LynZ in MCR.
I interpreted that part of the Nylon interview to be that the they mention was Gerard and the Band and Lindsey just happened to be there while the guys were writing.
Playing video games with Ray and those other two guys according to the photos Ray posted at the time.
Bob quit soon after and Lindsey started spending all her time preping for her little gallery.
However, if you remember. After Bob left, Gerard declared they were all going to start writing AGAIN (probably to avoid paying Bob any royalties) so even if she did help; it's unlikely her work will be on the finished cut.
Which is why Gerard spent all that time talking up how they'd written over forty songs and were still not done.
Then there's that shit with the bells so yeah. Whatever's on this album, it's probably nothing like what they wrote in that supposed "desert bunker" with The Roid and those two guys in the background.
man. gerard really is an asshole, isn't he?
first he wanted to write an album for his daughter, then his wife, and now just to spite bob.
and we all know he just died his hair to spite his fans.
again.
You don't blame Bob for not wanting to be part of MCRZ
^Thing is. It sounded like even Lindsey didn't like it that much.
Personally. I think she's getting tired of his childishness.
that was for the one above...
She is looking a lot older these days, isn't she?
The result of mothering both your child AND your husband perhaps?
Could be a result of long days at her 'art' studio.
Personally. I think she's getting tired of his childishness.
Sounds like she needs a short break break in Hawaii, bleach her hair and write some new songs for MCRZ.
they could always bust out their ridiculous wedding shirts and go on a second honeymoon.
I think she's just trying to be "taken seriously again". Like in her gallery days of old...
this was the first year she didnt wear an umbrella academy shirt to comic con so you may be onto something there...
Lindsey Way is officially her own woman. Now that she has her husband's name, money, and fanbase to back her!
We all as women should be so lucky...
You would think that someone with so much artistic talent would have been recognized and respected without a rawstah husband or stupid band.
It's nice that you can get along with your own art career once trivial issues like housing, food, living expenses and designer bags are dealt with.
