Oh my God, I had a whole post typed out and Blogger crashed and deleted it without saving a draft.
I forgot most of what I wrote so I have to start over.
I notice some of you talking about Laura Slessinger and her use of the N- Bomb recently. I saw some of the fall-out from that in the news too. And it made me think about what gets said to a lot of you sometimes.
We see a lot of MSICR fans saying that MSICR have the first amendment right to use whatever language they want and we have no right to stop them. I think once even Lyn-Z made a comment about "Thank God for the first amendment" when talking about her band's lyrics.
But I have always thought, no one is TRYING to take away their right to use hate speech. We have the right to our opinion too when it comes to lyrics that are racist, homophobic and misogynist.
This article about Laura Slessinger and the first amendment said a lot of what needs to be said here too.
These are the parts I wanted to quote.
• The First Amendment protects us from the government, and not from other Americans who disagree with what we have to say. “Congress shall make no law” — the first five words of the First Amendment — say it all: No government body can limit our rights to speak out. In this case, there’s no government action, just public outrage and pressure.
• Boycotts are also protected by the First Amendment. Dr. Laura complains about being “bullied” by those who might pressure her radio affiliates or advertisers, but boycotts are a time-honored use of the First Amendment to address perceived wrongs and have played a role in virtually every social movement in American history.
But the whole article is really good.
MSICR are allowed to use hate speech in their lyrics. MSICR fans are allowed to listen to those lyrics and interpret them any way they want. They can think they are about something else, if they want to. You interpret things however it makes sense to you.
YOU are also allowed to hate those lyrics, take them at face value (which the bands themselves always say), and to boycott them if you want..... forever if that's what you want.
There will always be arguments as long as there are lyrics, tweets, concerts and interviews with that kind of speech. There will be disagreements no matter what. But disagreeing is NOT the same thing as squashing someone else's rights.
I really thought that article said it better than I could have.

MSICR. Funny Verita, though I think they should be renamed MLBR(My LynZ Balluto Romance)
This was a comment from the Laura Schlessinger article:
Good thing Sarah found a topic she can get into....saying something stupid and then defending yourself....Comedians will love this one!!!
This could very well apply to LynZ.
How was he "up and coming" when his first major successful role was in 1981 and he didn't hook up with Madonna until 4 years later? Maybe YOU need to do YOUR research, Anon.
Penn launched his film career with the 1981 film Taps, his film debut, it wasn't a "major successful role". He may have been appearing in movies for four years, but it wasn't until his movie The Falcon and the Snowman which Penn started gaining acclaim as a serious actor, the same year he married Madonna, the same year she had catapulted into music history as a household name. You are not researching your subjects properly Dstarpro.

What about? My Self Indulgent Crappy RomanceZ that dances with Squids
CMUS Chemically Messed Up Squids?
That comment is pretty rude. In other words: "Believe whatever you want, who cares, I'm not stopping you" is in no way encouraging further discussion. It's dismissive and insulting, and I consider that a very hostile way to converse. If someone said that to you in person, you'd probably feel pretty crappy and shut down afterward.
“Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help! I'm being repressed!”
I know! MCWRFOSAOSL Mindless Chickens With Romantic Fantasies Of Squids and Other Sea Life.
Dstarpro is not being terribly respectful to us when she calls us the "v's" and jokes about how we'll overreact over things to her friends on twitter.
Or when her friends on Twitter tell her that people on V's should all 'go fuck themselves' she doesn't disagree with them.
I know! MCWRFOSAOSL Mindless Chickens With Romantic Fantasies Of Squids and Other Sea Life.
Good to see he is pro-poultry like the wife!

He should have named the album I love my wife with all my fucking heart and other stories about chickens and art
The real title is Suggit you monsters.
That compromise title was reached after they decided that 12 people on the webz think we're racist, homophobic and misogynist pigs. It must be true was too long of a title.
Chickens hide and cluck on the webz. Real women and men make art in public.
LynZ sucks it all the time 7:26 ;)
Their hot nu single must be then entitled Dirty Hot Romance all about the ol' zoidarino.

It's why their so OMG JUSJEALOUZ!911!!!1 7:30.
You know they want it. You know they do.
Um no. If you are talking about Lindsey it's natural for her to desire her husband.
I heard the title of the new one was There she blows but it was changed to There she blows up for Jamia and Frank.
They could have named it She blows hard for the money
she blows hard for the money
so hard for it honey
so you better fuck her right
No doubt he does! Anything for his adorable wife Lindsey.
He better have the tongue action down good too for that adorable wife of his.
Monster licks
Heard the next potential single is entitled tuff stuff all about Linds of course.
I heard they did a hardcore remake / mix of Give it to me baby / All night long.
That one is going to be their first video from the new cd featuring JU and the muppets in an orgy scene. ^_^
That doesn't sound very hardcore to me. Sure it wasn't called kick my ass all night long?
Or maybe it's really called It's not that long, Jim ^_^
Ms Piggy and Kermit will be in black face since JU, Frank, Gerard and Lyns are all such racist.
And deeply sexist, must not forget that.
Or maybe it's really called It's not that long, Jim
No. But JU and G
erard will let Ms Piggy slap Kermit around with her strap on dildo to show that they're not homophobic or misogynists pigs. Except Ms Piggy. She is a pig. A
dominatrix pig.
And deeply sexist, must not forget that.
I didn't forget that. That's why they'll let Ms Piggy throw that dildo all around and ram it down Kermit's throat. ^_~
They can have Miss P tie them up and blindfold them to add a bit of erotica, slash, art.
Ms Piggy wants Kermit open mouthed and on his knees using that tongue to suck up flies like he hasn't eaten in a year.

news is slowly starting to trickle out

"Singer Gerard Way told NME that his band finally wrapped up the follow-up to The Black Parade (review) (Reprise). The band scrapped its first attempt at redefining itself as a proto-punk band"
http://www.aversion.com/news/news_article.cfm?news_id=15049
Good news for all those people totally annoyed by My Chemical Romance's ongoing attempt to pretend to be Queen: The act has found someone else's legacy to rape for its next album.
LOL! I love their reviews on MCR.
Just one more in case people need a laugh like i do :)
My Chemical Romance Singer Wants Sports Car
Mar 26, 2009
My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way has a dream car in mind, and, oddly, it's pretty much the same thing your friend's cool older brother had in high school.
Not really content with modern-day wheels, Way solicited fans for a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am on the band's official website. His totally batshit explanation for his new desire revolved around "research and exploration" to tie into the band's new album.
"I will be researching the high-voltage hydra known as the 9th dimension," he wrote. "I will be exploring the barriers of speed and time, the history of heavy-metal haircuts, and the 24-hour rest-stop cappuccino. I will be chasing the 'electric-manticore', and unlocking the riddle of 'Muscle Mystery' in this muscle-machine."
Uh, OK. Just be sure to wear that MCR-branded bullet-proof vest knockoff in case that electric manticore packs heat.
What a dickhead.
What a dickhead.
Ooops oh well, twice for more impact ^_~
That's old news, Lynn. Besides, wasn't the Trans Am post supposed to be a hint at Bandit? What does this have to do with the new album, or EP? You no making the sense!
Don't ya just miss his really exciting posts about peg warmers and other fascinating but totally useless items?
Oh sure, thrill. But, have to say, I prefer the dork over the asshole. Ya know? Oh wells. :(
Perhaps those posts were far too complicated for Lindsey, he had to streamline things to two syllables.
Syllawha?
He was just another dorky asshole, a very common species.
He hid the asshole DNA pretty well for a while there.
Well I guess those genes were just busting to pop out.
I think they came threw the hole in his pants. :O
(good night!)

It has nothing to do with the new album.I was reading some of the old reviews and i thought they were funny. Don't worry,i'm sure they will get some wonderful reviews on their new album. Yeah.
Don't worry,i'm sure they will get some wonderful reviews on their new album. Yeah.
Goodness, I can hardly wait.
No doubt we will be hearing all about their new Moonster album at his Lindsey's prestigious art show.

I was making a funny too, Lynn. Lighten up?
The Trans Am was a rubbish car, as was its Chevrolet counterpart, the Camaro, which Jeremy Clarkson has dubbed the car "driven by murderers".
Trans Ams and Camaros were generally driven by factory workers and tanned-to-a-crisp secretaries with Farrah Fawcett hair and bright pink lipstick in the 70's. But then, we all know that Gerard has no class.
If he had class, he would have been looking for a 1966 Shelby GT350 Mustang.
Nope, a 1967 Corvette stringray 327 has more oomp
I respectfully disagree. The corvette was engineered to go fast, but the handling was always crap.
Besides that, there's an element of romance and rebelliousness connected to those cars.
^by "those cars" I mean the first generation mustangs.
ookay , so hard and fast is not your thing.
Jay Leno, Ewan McGregor, Bill Clinton, and Richard Hammond all drive classic, first generation Mustangs.
No way would Gerard Way have bought one. That wouldn't have been "edgy" enough for him.
Never mind that the Trans Am is rubbish. He was being "ironic".
ookay , so hard and fast is not your thing.
Depends on the subject. Men? Hard, yes. Fast? Not so much.
Cars? Hard, no. Fast? Sometimes.
I like a little finesse in both.
I think what a lot of MCR fans can't get through their heads is that a lot of people dislike MCR because of their fans.
The people who come here and troll, the people who resort to calling us names and saying we're fat, and the people who simply cannot accept that there are those of us out here who do not like their ZOMG, FAVORITE BAND!!1! don't seem to realize what a huge role they play in turning people off that very band they so love.
You can't go into a fansite (even if you're a fan) and say the slightest negative thing about these guys, lest you get called out. People complaining about how long this album has taken have been called "spoiled", "entitled", etc. and I think that's ridiculous. If you have a gripe you should be able to air it.
I made the comment on a fansite that I wish Gerard and Lindsey had named their kid something else because I thought she might get made fun of when she's older. I wasn't trying to tell others they should hate the name Bandit. I just said I didn't care for it, but people acted like I had committed some horrible crime. I became a total pariah after that. Afterwards I felt like I couldn't talk to anybody about the band and since none of my friends like them and it's been forever since they made a record, I just grew away from them. Then I found Verita's and the things people said started to really make sense.
When it comes to this place, it should be allowed to exist in peace. We aren't accusing MCR of killing puppies or taking candy away from babies. We're just expressing our disappointment in them. We are allowed to be disappointed.
The reason we resort to calling people who come here defending them "fangirls" is because that's what they are. Why else would they go to an out of the way blog that you have to be linked to in order to try and change peoples' minds? Especially when it's pretty obvious that nobody's mind is going to be changed.
We don't go to fansites and tell fans how they should think. The "fangirls" (and yes, that's what you are) should do us the same courtesy and stay away from here.
I know that won't happen, but it would be nice and it would go a long way towards improving the band's image since the fans are responsible for a lot of the MCR hatred.
Hey, Kapunua, if you're around I wanted to ask you if you've seen Let the Right one In and if so, what are your thoughts on the remake?
I like talking about movies here and of course, anyone else can answer that question.
When it comes to this place, it should be allowed to exist in peace....I know that won't happen, but it would be nice and it would go a long way towards improving the band's image since the fans are responsible for a lot of the MCR hatred.
I agree with you on everything except improving MCR's image. I think the image of the typical MCR fan is already too ingrained in the minds of other rock fans for it to change.
Sigh...although some of you have been very gracious and we have found common ground and I have enjoyed meeting you, the rest cannot be budged (by this, I mean from the hostility i.e. unfriendliness, not the opinions themselves, before you dissect that statement as well) and I give the fuck up (yes, commence cheering.)
If you want to speak with me further, apparently you know where to find me.
And yes, I have referred to this place as the v-blog; to protect your anonymity! Also, I used to lump you all together but now I know better - some of you are actually really cool. Although, contrary to what you would like to believe, you don't live in a fucking bubble and the entire fanbase knows about you and people link one another here frequently, because your remarks DO concern the younger fanbase.
I also have no control over what other people choose to think and/or say about you, anymore than they have control over what you choose to think about them (or me.) I'm generally being advised to stay the fuck away and not waste my breath, and after reading this last batch of posts, I'm inclined to agree, since you're advising me similarly.
I've said about eight million times now (yes, gross exaggeration - I know that some of you will be literal about that too) that I could care less what you like or don't like, and that I was only questioning your racist and sexist accusations.
While I agree that the fanbase has given itself a black eye and that I personally despise it as a whole despite having met some truly amazing people from it, just as you have, that doesn't mean that every single person who continues to spin an album, attend a show or follow a twitter is a fucking fangirl. If that were the case, then everyone would be a fangirl of SOMEONE's, wouldn't they, and none of our opinions would matter.
Oh and to the Anon who keeps insisting that I don't know what I'm talking about, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" was Penn's breakout role and it was released right after "Taps."
And to the newer Anon who thinks that the accusations in here aren't equivalent to "killing puppies," they kind of are. Calling someone an "ist" is pretty damned serious - luckily, no one with any real authority agrees, and yes, I would say this about any celebrity.
Peace.
I've been here for a long time now. I agree somewhat with a few of Dstarpro's arugments that MSI is not a bunch of racists/sexists. That's not to say that I approve of their music and lyrics. I think they are a joke band who have found their niche by singing about things that other bands would consider taboo, and making it out to be a joke. I don't think Jimmy or any of the others really feel that blacks are inferior or that women are merely sexual objects or that child molestation is cool.
But. I don't think any of those things are funny, either. I don't understand why JU & Co. think it's okay to make a big joke out of them. This I find offensive.
MCR seems to be playing into that whole "LOL, I said Cunt" attitude and Gerard has definitely done some sexist and offensive things on stage (the "ladies let me hear you fuck yourselves" shtick) and Frank has definitely said some offensive things on his twitter.
I think Frank is definitely a sexist in the same way that a lot of Jersey guys I know are sexist. They don't think women are as good as men, and you can tell that by the way they treat them, but they would argue with you if you confronted them about it.
I don't know about Gerard. I think he was just trying to fit in with MSI when he did the "fuck yourselves" thing. I know a lot of you will probably disagree, but that's okay. It's just my opinion.
Regardless, both Frank and Gerard (and Bob) have offended me. Whether we can officially brand them with the "sexist" term is up to us as individuals, I think.
If nobody "with any real authority" agrees with any of our opinions (and who would these people be -- the ones with authority, I wonder?) it's probably because they really weren't paying all that much attention. MCR really isn't a very big band after all. They wouldn't get called out like, say, Green Day or U2 would by the media because the mainstream media doesn't care about them all that much.
What it boils down to is that all of us are going to see things differently. We all have different opinions, whether we're fans or "haters" of the band. Thank God for that. The world would be boring as hell otherwise.
I'm not trying to insult you, Dstarpro, but the earlier anon was right about Sean Penn.
He didn't even have a lead role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Despite the fact that Fast Times became a cult classic and Jeff Spicoli a cult hero, the movie was generally panned by critics at the time of its release.
Sean had made maybe 5 films when he and Madonna married. I doubt he had a sizable bank account. Madonna on the other hand was a huge pop star back when people weren't downloading music.
If anyone married "up" it was Sean.
Sorry, but I absolutely believe that the lot of them are sexist, even misogynist. Any hint of that attitude reeks to high heaven and they all wear it like cheap cologne.
To me, there are no "levels" of sexism or racism. There aren't shades of it. "Well, he's a little sexist" or "that's just a tad racist."
Or maybe what I mean instead is that, I don't tolerate shades of it. And why should I?
Sigh...although some of you have been very gracious and we have found common ground and I have enjoyed meeting you, the rest cannot be budged (by this, I mean from the hostility i.e. unfriendliness, not the opinions themselves, before you dissect that statement as well) and I give the fuck up (yes, commence cheering.)
You mean we can't be budged ( by this, i mean you cannot change our minds about MCR) then yes, you are right. I thought it was pretty hostile by referring this place as v's.
When it comes to this place, it should be allowed to exist in peace...but it would be nice and it would go a long way towards improving the band's image since the fans are responsible for a lot of the MCR hatred.

What kind of psychology is that?
Leave us alone /GTFO / don't post here and we might not hate the bands you like so much or call them sexists and racists anymore psychology.
You didn't read the whole post, obviously. I said that if MCR fans weren't so intolerant of others' opinions then maybe people wouldn't hate them so much. The fact that people hate the fans makes them hate the band.
Have you never seen the video on Youtube where the guy is calling MCR fans fascists?
but it would be nice and it would go a long way towards improving the band's image
Leaving this blog in peace would go such a long way towards improving MCR's image.

Poor reading comprehension skills for the loss.
This has been posted before, but for the fangirls with poor reading comprehension skills, here is a video for you.
Britney Spears has enjoyed a nice run as the Twitter user with the most followers. But on Friday, her reign ended. All hail Lady Gaga, the new queen of the social media site.
By Friday afternoon, Gaga reached 5,670,779 followers, narrowly surpassing Britney's 5,668,825 base.
According to Famecount.com, Ashton Kutcher comes in third place with 5,542,023, The Ellen DeGeneres Show ranks fourth with 5,053,073, and President Barack Obama takes the fifth position with 5,003,469.
This has been posted before, but for the fangirls with poor reading comprehension skills, here is a video for you.
That must be for you 11:19 AM. Since you're the one who quoted part of 5:24's post and I quoted your post.

MCR fans will never be able to live that stupid protest down. So funny.
But. I don't think any of those things are funny, either. I don't understand why JU & Co. think it's okay to make a big joke out of them. This I find offensive.
I respect your opinion about MSI, but you do have to consider apart from the whole premise that the band doesn't promote any messages in their songs (although their stupid idiot bassist repudiates the whole thing with her great explanation of panty shot's intention), that their songs are all a big joke, and they're not deliberately trying to grab the spotlight( both Euringer and Montano said this in one of their interviews), you have to question why someone would even touch on subjects that are deeply sensitive from such a disgusting angle without any sense going over the line, unless they are either totally callous, which is possible or have underlining misogynistic thought patterns.
Apropos of nothing, I am watching Brick tonight. :)
I also believe that the MCR provided many people with emotional problems or isolated people a form of connection that in turn became a camaraderie, which forms the fanbase as it is today. I truly believe the some of the zealotry emanates from the belief that these people (the band) helped them overcome something in their lives, and therefore they feel they should be indebted in some way. This could be why the band is defended so voraciously by some of these fans.
I think you have a point. When a negative comment is made about MCR, some of these people react like you've said something horrible about a close family member. It's almost like these guys are surrogate family for some of these girls. It's sad, really.
I mean from the hostility i.e. unfriendliness, not the opinions themselves, before you dissect that statement as well) and I give the fuck up (yes, commence cheering.)
Dstarpro I am the anon who you constantly call 'hostile'. No one is cheering, that was a very childish thing to say, similar to the poster who was intimating there was some form of hierarchy going on here which is a very MCR fan-like way of thinking.
You are still welcome here, I do respect your opinions, though they will be countered and sometimes in the way not to your liking, as you can with mine.
I think Frank is definitely a sexist in the same way that a lot of Jersey guys I know are sexist. They don't think women are as good as men, and you can tell that by the way they treat them, but they would argue with you if you confronted them about it.
I agree with this. Most people are not aware of their own prejudices because their behavior appears normal within the group they socialize in.
Dstarpro, I think what's worrying for the 'younger fanbase' are idols who throw around racist and sexist slurs and joke about women's bodies being violated. Not a group of people calling them out on it.
I think you have a point. When a negative comment is made about MCR, some of these people react like you've said something horrible about a close family member. It's almost like these guys are surrogate family for some of these girls. It's sad, really.
It does appear sad, but it's a fact of life some people do not get the support that others have, unfortunately.
Alternatively you could interpret this as a positive, that something as insignificant as a rock band has allowed a group of people to move on with their lives. This is something I think has gone right over the band's head with their decision to realistically portray themselves and their association with those dunderheads MSI.
What shocks me more than anything about MCR fans are the ones like Dstarpro who STILL come here month after month to defend the racism and sexism her beloved band spew by claiming 'it isn't that big of a deal'.
The fact is that they said shitty, offensive things and think it's funny, or that people 'over-reacted' to it. Racism isn't funny for the people who have to deal with it. Being raped isn't funny. Being forced to perform your own abortion isn't funny. Sadly, these things are not a part of the past. Cracking jokes about them, using them for giggles over twitter and to be 'edgy' in songs isn't funny. Instead of being so driven to tell people they shouldn't be offended by racism and sexism, or that our feelings and debates here are 'harmful' to the young fans who read them, maybe you ought to back off and think about that.

You again You must seem to think that we do have some influence because you always seem to be hanging around these parts. Or are you just pissed that we are cutting into your precious ass kissing time for the wonderful Ways, though I may add it's morons like you that bring attention to us.

Still trying to defend racists and sexists by trivializing and derailing our opinions? Aren't you bored of being so butthurt and white?

Nah, they just think abortion is LOLZWORTHY, people being lynched because they've got more pigment than they have is justified, and that women who wear short skirts and appear on reality TV somehow deserve to be punched. You're not going to get any logic from people like that, because they're giving themselves away as racists and sexists with their crap opinions. I say let them keep talking and making fools of themselves.

Then Monster is exactly what that album will be.
I think Frank is definitely a sexist in the same way that a lot of Jersey guys I know are sexist. They don't think women are as good as men, and you can tell that by the way they treat them, but they would argue with you if you confronted them about it.
I remember a long time ago, back when I still liked Frank and the band, having a red flag go up when Frank talked about tattoos on women. He said he didn't like them. I mean here the guy is, nearly covered from head to toe, and he says that he doesn't like women who have tattoos. Double standard much?
But the thing that really got me was when he said that he didn't like the "tramp stamp".
What's a tramp stamp?
A "tramp stamp" is what some people call a lower back tattoo on a woman.
I remember that interview, but I didn't think too much about it at the time. I just remember Ray getting all offended because he said his girlfriend (Krista, now his wife) had a lower back tattoo and then Frank started laughing.
Alarm bells went off with me when those shitty racist college essays of his got found online. It would appear he never grew up and matured, or changed his opinions about ethnic minorities.
Oh, and I should also add, I got turned off pretty quickly when Leathermouth started getting press and joking about things like murdering 'whores' and Frank started calling little girls 'cunts' at shows.
I never saw his college essays. What did they say?
Oh, and I should also add, I got turned off pretty quickly when Leathermouth started getting press and joking about things like murdering 'whores' and Frank started calling little girls 'cunts' at shows.
Yeah, at first I didn't believe it when people said he had called girls the c-word at shows. But then I kept reading more and more accounts of it from people I consider reliable.
Thing is, in more than half the journals I read, the girls were defending him. They said things like, "Oh, but this little girl told him she wanted to have his babies and he's already married. She deserved to be called a c*nt."
Like anybody deserves to be called that word.
One of his essays was basically him ranting about how people shouldn't be allowed in the US without being able to speak fluent English or something. He was whining about how he had to go to work at a supermarket and he couldn't understand the customers sometimes.
They're just typical Jersey guys.
So let's see. In Frank Iero's world:
Young teenage girls who dare to shout out at a married man that they want to have his babies are "Cunts".
Women who can't control their children should have aborted their pregnancies with coat hangers.
A "POS" womann from Jersey who dares to stand up to a man in a bar for stealing her drink deserves to be punched in the face.
Women shouldn't have tattoos.
Women who have lower back tattoos can be labeled "tramps".
Oh, but he's not a sexist. Not at all. *rolls eyes*
Being a 'typical' guy does not excuse you from being a racist, sexist pig. Moreso when you know that your words are read by thousands of children, and you're being offensive just to be 'edgy'.
One of his essays was basically him ranting about how people shouldn't be allowed in the US without being able to speak fluent English or something.
Lol! You're kidding! And now MCR is part of that Sound Strike thing in Arizona? How's that for hypocrisy?
And irony?
I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for being a dumb teenager at the time he wrote it, but I don't give him that benefit for the things he's spewed on twitter. He knew he was being a jerk, he just thought it was funny. Racism and sexism are a form of humor for him.
Yeah, at first I didn't believe it when people said he had called girls the c-word at shows. But then I kept reading more and more accounts of it from people I consider reliable.
That was my first reaction, too. I thought, "No way, he couldn't have."
I saw LM in the early days, before all of this came out. And I sure did see Frank getting upset at the behavior that was being tossed his way. But he wasn't a wanker about it at the time. So when I first started hearing that, I was fairly shocked.
But now it's easy to see that I should not have been so shocked. I guess I tend to believe the best of people for too long a time. :/

You're welcome. :)
I agree. It had my head spinning the whole time.
By the way, I think maybe I'm going to have to be something besides JGL anon. I do think he's brilliant and I'm going through something of a JGL phase right now, but I have a whole list of actors that I like just as much.
I just love movies and I like to talk about them. :)
MCR are trying to get the atmosphere of the Projekt Revolution '07 live shows back on their new album.
I think that's exactly what they should do.
After I saw them at PR, that's when I started thinking Gerard was a pompous ass and I first started to question my feelings about MCR. I also realized that Gerard can't sing for shit.
So yeah. About time the rest of the world realizes what these douchebags truly are. Don't you guys agree?
Oh by all means, choose whichever name you like! :) I have actor phases too. Mine right now is basically "everyone who was in Inception." Which is funny because I wasn't really leaping out of my chair during Inception. O_O I just loved the cast more than anything.
Hey, I wrote a full-on "what I liked" review of Brick in my LJ if you want to see. Also if you liked Shutter Island and want to chat about different interpretations, that's in there, too.
As well as Mysterious Skin and a bunch of other movies. :D
Have you got an LJ?
I love the whole cast from Inception too. I was thrilled that they cast Ellen Page as Ariadne because she actually looks like she could be an architecture student.
I used to have an lj, but it was tainted with so much MCR crap I deleted it.
Although I did toy with the idea of starting a new one a while back and even came up with a new username. I just haven't done anything with it yet. I don't even have a layout. :(
I could use it to talk to you though. It would be better than just being some random anonymous. :D
Yeah, you sure could! Sorry about your old LJ. Ugh. Sometimes you gotta start fresh.
I'm shonagonchan on LJ. :)
Oh, as for movies in my LJ, you'd have to hit the "movie reviews" tag since the "movies" one is rather inconsistent. :D
on Mcr quotes (twitter):

Gerard: "2007 was a 10 out of 10 absolutely. I had an amazing year."
Interviewer: "What made it a 10?" Gerard: "Meeting my wife."
Oh, and tag for movies with actors I'm crushing on is "sittin in the movie show / thinkin nasty thoughts". ^_^
Yes please take your movie conversations elsewhere.
It doesn't mean they have to stop talking here. I like the movie conversations too. I found out about some good movies.
I will comment on your journal, Kapunua, just as soon as I get mine up and going again. I'm not sure about my new name. I thought it was clever when I came up with it; now I'm not so sure. :/
I've read some of your posts and I enjoyed them very much.
Shutter Island. Oh Boy. I can talk about that one. A lot.
I would recommend (500)Days of Summer to you because of JGL's performance, but I don't know if you would like it. In fact, I'm not even sure if I liked it. Lol.
But I do still want to talk to you about movies here, if for no other reason than just because we can. ;)
Yeah totally, I don't mind either way! :D
I heard good things about that movie but I wasn't sure if it was up my alley. Still, might be worth it to check it out. I actually looked at GI Joe the other day and was like, "Nahh."
Then there were a handful more that looked pretty cool but I have to double check.
I might give The Aviator a looksee, too.
I thought The Aviator was acted beautifully, but ultimately it was so depressing. It was worth it for Cate Blanchett's portrayal as Katherine Hepburn though.
I also thought DiCaprio did a magnificent job of playing the less-than-likable and less-than-admirable Hughes. I found myself despising him, which is what Leo was going for, I think. At any rate, he was not a sympathetic character at all.
For a long time I was not Leo's biggest fan, although I've always thought he was a better actor than many people give him credit for being. I actually think Titanic hurt him more than it helped him, and I despised the piece of crap that was Romeo + Juliet. Although, I have to confess that his Romeo moved me in places -- specifically, his "I am fortune's fool!", which was beautifully delivered. (But then I have that longstanding crush on Leonard Whiting and Zefferelli's film was just so gorgeous in every way...)
But then Leo broke my heart in Catch Me if You Can. I really did sympathize with him. And then he was brilliant in The Aviator and The Departed. Then came Shutter Island and Inception, and now I can most definitely say that he is right up there with some of my favorite actors.
Anyway, I will come talk to you on your journal. How could I not?
I just hope you don't regret asking me to. I do tend to go on. :/
I actually looked at GI Joe the other day and was like, "Nahh."
Lol. Me too. I saw the trailer something like, 9000 times at the theaters. I just can't bring myself to actually watch it. :)
I liked 500 Days of Summer, but I'm probably not as qualified a movie critic as you guys are. I don't see many movies at the theater because I'm usually too broke.
I liked Matthew Gray Gubler in it. I think he's really cute.
Everyone is a qualified movie critic. :D
Former JGL, okay, I'm gonna go into my bff's Netflix and look for The Aviator then. :) I love a complicated character and I love Cate Blanchett!
Yeah, Shakespeare for me is totally hit or miss, and the Leo/What's-Her-head one was a miss for me. There were some moments (I liked her "I LONG TO DIE" and his "Tempt not a desperate man!" parts,) but mostly I could skip it.
Zefirelli's was awesome though; I remember seeing it in high school. It was a classic even back then but it has aged well.
Though really nothing is more blasphemous than Mel Gibson as Hamlet. That made me have a BIG NO.
Hmm. I saw Catch Me in the theaters because of CHristopher Walken (my favorite!) But I only remember Walken in it. I might give that another look, too.
Time to go trolling around in my friend's Netflix. :D

Galactic destroyer link
A destructive squid, so fitting.
Is the squid the destroyer or the saviour?
Apparently they didn't get the memo that the squid has already been done. To death.
Although Watchmen is supposed to be one of Gerard's favorites. And his band did that song for the soundtrack.
I guess he's a slow learner.
His wife loves squids, so naturally they become part of MCR merchandise. And if the album is named Monster, there will probably be a squid on the cover.
"His wife loves squids,"
Did she really say that?
dstarpro is just a bossy, nosy, kiss up who thinks she can go around telling everyone what they can or can't say, think, feel or do. the fact that she continues to come here makes her look like a dumbass because she argues such ridiculous issues. Her fake "i'm just trying to get you to understand" bullshit is so old and worn out. what she needs to do is get a job, a life and find something in her life that fulfills her more. She is a prime example of someone who is so insecure in their own lives that they have to interfere in the lives of others. And she is a fangirl. You can tell by who she talks to, how she talks, and just the way she tries to make herself out to not be a fangirl. god she is just tired and sad.
I don't care who Dstarpro is, what she does, where she works (or doesn't) or anything to do with her family/friends/opinions on other blogs. I care about the fact that she comes here again and again and again to sideline, trivialize, belittle, and shame the members here for expressing a perfectly valid reaction to offensive racist and sexist behavior by MCR and MSI.
She needs to be reminded, again, that it is not okay to shift the blame over to the victims, and find them at fault for being offended.
In short, she needs to give derailing for dummies another read through. Her defensive shit is tired and worn.
I completely agree with that. So tired and worn and just pointless. Her insistence on trying to make people see her ways is so redundant. It is as though she can't handle being wrong or having a different opinion ever but she'll never go to the other side, she expects the other side to always come to her. She really seems to think she has this "duty" to change the world by making everyone think like her. She thinks she is right and no one else is and her fake "smart" talk is so see through. I can't imagine many people are finding her believable or a great source of intellect. fangirl who can't and won't let go.
The thing is, I don't have time to sit and talk at people over and over to explain to them why racism and sexism isn't acceptable. That's their problem to figure out for themselves. What bugs me about Dstarpro and people like her is that they can't just let people be offended by something offensive. They have to bully them into believing they're over-reacting or imagining things. That's not the correct way to respond when someone holds a negative opinion of idiots who use racial slurs and joke about women being assaulted.
She doesn't know how to just let people have their own opinions. Most people (sensible ones) find out someone's opinion, maybe debate it a bit, but then move on. There seems to be no agreeing to disagree with her...it's her way or you are the one with the problem. She makes this place miserable when it isn't normally a miserable place in the first place.
She pretty much revealed herself as the sort of person Frank is when she found more fault with Snooki 'famewhoring' after her assault than with the person who punched her, or told us all 'go protest' instead of talking about abortion jokes and how sick they are online. Victim-blamers like her make me sick! The point is, the more we talk about it here, the more people who read it. Personally, I enjoy the fact that other fans may find their way here. Maybe just a few will read this and it will make them think twice about Frank's 'humor' or MSI's songs about children being raped. Maybe one or two might not grow up to think differently about themselves as women. That was what MCR wanted, right? Shame they had to turn into just another bad example to illustrate it.
someone mentioned the protest against the Daily Mail newpaper.
I went to along to that with my sister, we were there mainly to say that Hannah Bond (a friend of ours) DID NOT take her life because of My Chemical Romance, and she had been into the band for 2 years, not a few weeks as the Newspapers had reported.
Outside the Daily Mail offices there was nothing but friendly fans, all singing and having a fantastic time. Everyone was passing around food and drinks to each other, and having a joke with the Policemen on duty.
A man from the Daily Mail came out and collected a book of fan letters complaining about their articles on MCR and MCR Fans.
The fans were happy that their protest had been heard in a friendly, peaceful, happy manner.
After the majority of these Fans had gone, at around 4.30pm at Marble Arch, there was a Man with a camcorder goding the remaining hyperactive, teenagers. HE set fire to the Daily Mail and gave them other copies to rip up while he filmed them telling them to GO CRAZY, GO CRAZY - then he laughed as he got the shots he wanted - the one's he used to ridicule the entire day.
It wasn't like that all day. The majority of the Fans were not like that.
If you weren't there, you shouldn't judge the event by that Video footage.
I always wondered what fans who went to that thought of the fact that MCR completely ignored it. Do you think they were ashamed? Or just distanced themselves to prevent (more) bad press? Or maybe they don't give two shits who dies or protests from their fanbase. After all, the real world and its problems are a million miles away from Sunset Blvd recording suites, or the gated communities of Beverly Hills...
She did reveal herself through those statements. So right. If you look at all of the people she considers friends they are all the same. It only makes them seem like their opinions are only based on their obsession with this band. This band can do no wrong to her and her minions or whatever they are. She isn't going to change our minds and we aren't going to change her mind, so why does she insist on coming here with her monotonous ranting? And she seems to act like she knows the truth about everything when she has never been around any of these people or spent a considerable amount of time with them to know what they are truly like. She did that Skeleton crew AIDS walk thing (she is in the picture) and probably got along really well with Frank's friends who I've heard and who have also been mentioned by Rose to be racist, sexist people themselves. She really should just stay away from here and stop arguing. Why isn't she posting on the I Love MCR No Matter What websites?
Hi 10:53
Like I said, I went for Hannah, because she would have wanted someone to stand up and say that she did NOT commit suicide because the lyrics in TBP told her to.
The Daily Mail made a mockery out of her death for their own pathetic message. Sickening to all who knew her.
I spoke to some of the organisers on the day, and Annie had received messages of support from the MCR Management at WBR, saying that the Band were aware of the Protest and hoped that everyone would be safe on the day.
Thats all I know.
Oh, Dstarpro and her friends really hate Rose now. She didn't like MSI's tweet saying how Jefferey Star should be beaten up (I don't like him, but I wouldn't wish to see him beaten up). Anyway, all her 'friends' aka Dstarpro and cohorts hate her now, because she, like everyone else, has had enough of MSI's violence-endorsing bullshit. Not to mention the fact that they've all secretly hated her for years for speaking out about Frank's racism.
MCR Management at WBR
I guess Brian stopped managing them way before anyone suspected, huh?
Did the band even make a statement about Hannah's death? I'm sorry for your loss, anon. It must be a terrible thing to have your friend's memory thrown around like that by a rag like the Daily Mail.
thankyou, the tragedy of her death should never have been used by the Daily Mail in their war against a pop band.
There was an official statement made; I doubt by the Band members, but, yes, by MCR.
(for "MCR" read some PR person in their office of course).
Rose has been backstage at MCR shows. I want her to come on here and dish the dirt about Gerard being a diva, Frank smoking pot, and Brian tasering anyone who wasn't doing their job properly.
I am sorry about Hannah Bond's death. I think everyone was, although I did see some very prominent MCR fans from LJ posting pictures of Hannah with captions like, "Natural Selection at Work", etc. Some of MCR's fans were actually angry with Hannah for drawing negative publicity to the band. How's that for logic?
As far as the protest, I was so afraid that things would turn out badly. Regardless of the reason people went, the protest never should have gone down because it only gave the press and people like the guy who made that video the opportunity to exploit fans.
If MCR had done anything at all, the most intelligent thing would have been to try and stop the protest altogether. It's not like the Daily Mail was going to listen to a bunch of teenagers anyway.
the young teenage BP MCR fans are simply immature and crazy, and I don't find them at all typical of the majority of long-term 'Bullets' & 'Revenge' Fans.
The Daily Mail did listen in a way. A couple of months after the protest, there was a spate of teenage suicides in Wales, and although the Newspaper named some other Bands for their 'emo message' - they did not mention MCR at all.

what do you think of this?
What on earth do you want us to "make" of it?
What a funny question.
I think it's a bunch of "creative" friend's having a lunch date.
Nothing remarkable is it?
Sorry, you said "think" not "make".
My bad.
Still not a remarkable thing to comment on though imo.
I find it quite hilarious that Lindsey is hanging out with Marilyn Manson's former *cough*groupies* cohorts after the things MM said about Gerard.
Of course, JU used to say some choice things about Gerard too (while Lindsey laughed), but that was before Gerard offered them some nice comfy coattails to ride on.

Dear Silvia, are you HappyxAmp by chance?
You certainly stalk Lyn-Z like she did, and you definitely say the same sort of random *coughweird* bullshit that she did.
Im sorry I just found it on that twitter :(
Mmkay. Well the thing is, I run MCR_quotes and I'm pretty sure I never wrote what you said you saw on there.
That doesn't even sound like something I would say. I never say 'imo', for one thing! And I actually think that PR was in no way their best tour! :/ I much preferred their US tour in the smaller venues in 2008.
You can all say what you want about MCR_quotes and MCR, it doesn't affect me. Just don't make shit up! What's the point?
And if you're wondering why I'm on here, I have a friend that comes on here and she told me about the MCR_quotes thing. I wouldn't normally waste my time reading through this blog!
Kthnxbye.
