In the time since I posted last, Gerard rented a monkey for LynZ, totally forgetting his support of PETA and animal rights. Jimmy Urine declared Gerard his best friend. The Black Parade Is Dead came out and everyone in the band thanked everyone, except Gerard who thanked LynZ, and then his parents as an after thought. Gerard moved to LA where he was seen with his new "posse" of friends, meaning LynZ, Jimmy Urine and his wife. A few more interviews came and went where he promoted MSI. And recently he wrote a message to MySpace trying to say how everything was cool with the band, yet what it really comes down to is Frank is touring with his other band, Bob just got our of surgery, no mention of whta Mikey is working on, and he doesn't know where Ray is. He also hinted that he is going to go see an upcoming MSI show, which is funny because of all of LynZ's protests that she doesn't want fans to go to their show just to see Gerard.
I feel really bad for the rest of the band now that Jimmy Urine and LynZ are Gerard's best friends. Didn't his band see him through the worst times, when he was suicidal didn't they pull him up from rock bottom? Now they are tossed aside for "inspirational" MSI.
Have I forgotten anything? I think there was more but I can't remember it.
This is mostly just to give you all some new space to talk.
It's really good to know that there are people out there who see through their pathetic facade.

No but seriously, I also remember old drawings of Gerard's that used to get posted around and one was a black and red drawing of the torso of a woman tearing her clothes off, leaving just a few strands to cover her breasts. back in these comments (i'm at 601-1817) there are tons of comments about eliza cuts and what gerard supposedly did to her.
now, i'm not a rabid fan and i don't follow everything all the time, but --
i remember that one night in a fit of boredom i tried to track down any proof of this eliza person's claims, and found absolutely nothing that bolstered her claims. i remember reading one of her actual posts on myspace, but i'm a little fuzzy now on what was actually in it because 1) it was ages and ages ago in internet time (about 10 months, lol) and 2) i didn't really care--and i didn't care because i could nothing to add veracity to the story.
why does anybody give this eliza person any credit? i think anybody who believes her stories is being taken in by a somewhat psycho attention whore (who is probably secretly laughing at how easy it is to fool people.)

It's not that we believe her, we just take what she says into consideration if anything seem connected to it. We all know she's a attention seeker and probably lied a lot in her "story".
Gerard's looks. We are well aware that he's 31 now and we don't expect him to look exactly the same. We are concern about his weight and appearance because of the rumours about him relapsing. He has lost a lot of weight. I even saw someone at Perez Hilton refer to him as "crack skinny". We might not approve of his recent actions, but we don't wish him harm either.

Yes age catches up to everyone. But the fact that he smokes and hit the drugs and alcohol hard doesn't help him out either. But as Some one said it isn't some much that he lost his boyish looks but that he can go from looking like he has gain 50lbs to loo.king like he lost a 100lbs in a mater of months. And that kind of weight loss isn't good on the body. That isn't even going on about how he looks like he need to get some sleep.
What Eliza has to say I take with a grain of salt. She did date him after all. But I think she is off her rocker. The woman need s to move on and leave MCR and their fans only.

All I can think is that when you run around dressing and acting the way lynz does you are going to get the attention of nut jobs like that. Also why didn't their tour manger get security. Obviously, Passerby, you didn't really read the comments about Gerard's appearance very carefully. The people here were not talking about him looking old. I saw the words frail, tired, too thin, skeletal, etc.
Someone also mentioned that he looked as though he had "dead eyes", which goes more towards his mental state than his physicality.
As far as Eliza goes, if you haven't been around the fandom much you've clearly missed a lot. Yes, she's a manipulator, but I don't think she's lying about her relationship with Gerard or the way he dumped her.
I saw with my own two eyes the little "wash that man outta my hair" diva fit he had onstage the day he ditched the ring (very publicly). That was cruel, unprofessional and totally unnecessary. Whether you like Eliza or not (I personally do not) nobody deserves to be treated with so little respect.

I think the leather mouth CD has already been made they just need a label to put it out on. I think there will be another MCR CD but I don't think it will do well.

i was here because of crazy levels of boredom...i had read the updates on my favorite sites, started searching stuff randomly, and ran into this blog.
public flaming sessions can be fun to read, especially if you're a mostly disinterested third party.
for the record, i still like mcr. i think they're pretty damned good, and still promising. probably the most promising band of the current crop. there's some real talent in the band. i'm sort of waiting for the next album to see how the music develops post-black parade.
as for gerard way's personal life...meh. it's pretty useless to try and decipher celeb lifestyles from a distance. even harder to guess what they're going to do/be in the future. but this is fun to watch.

I got a link to this blog from a friend. We were talking about how neither of us is into MCR anymore and I said I didn't know anyone who was into them now and she sent me this link. I'm surprised to find there are people who took Gerard and his talk about feminism and what-not seriously. I never took any of that stuff to heart, I only cared about the music. Now the music doesn't appeal to me so I've moved on. I think all of you would be much better off if you would do the same thing.

Am I the only one that never liked the whole "pretending to be gay onstage but vehemently denying you are gay yourself (and sometimes with disgust that the topic be mentioned)" thing?
I know he said it was to weed out the homophobics in the audience and prove it is "okay" - but I always felt it was making a joke of it more than anything else.
First of all, he plays gay onstage, but often stated how irritated (sounding disgusted) that he is often mistaken for being gay himself. Also, his stage acts haven't done shit to "raise gay awareness", but have in fact added to the recent cultural stigma against bisexuality that has come largely from so many people in the music scene using it as a method to attract people to their band. Making people believe it is just an attention getting device.
Well, I'm probably biased, but it always disheartened me to see it used as a tool to get teenage girls to swoon over him.
I don't think he's gay at all, I think he is using the ambiguity as just another marketing tool.

Where's "my wife"? I know people outside of the MCR fanbase don't care about her but I thought she'd be in the background. Maybe he didn't take her incase she embarressed him in front of all those celebrities. I mean, all those women look gorgeous and classy so LynZ was never going to fit in there.

I believe the only time she's had a replacement for a Gerard-related leave was for the MSG show. They were in Florida, and Florida to NY isn't that big of a deal. They were in Mexico tonight, and with customs, Mexico to L.A. might be more of a hassle. That, and MCR's last show was a bigger deal than an awards show for some cable TV network.
And it's not like he didn't show to be at the MSI show. Maybe - just maybe - they can both have lives OUTSIDE of one another! SHOCK.
Maybe msi will get stuck in a Mexican prison and we will never have to hear from them again.
That would be shocking if he had a life other than being with his amazing wife. Who inspired everything he has ever done.

Animal - normally a couple can have events away from each other, but Gerard is always so dependant on however he's fucking that it was a shock to see him alone.
Plus, I thought MSI had stopped touring. I'm not a fan so I wouldn't know their tour dates. But I'm glad LynZ didn't get a replacement. It would have upset 99% of the people at the Mexico gig because everyone knows they are mostly MCR fans who go there to get at look at Mrs Gerard Way.

13-17 I had no idea what the internet was or did. I spent my time doing real things. Playing outside with REAL people. I didn't spend my days obsessing over people I'VE NEVER MET on the internet. I didn't spend my days OVERANALYZING every little aspect of celebrities lives. I think that if I was that sad and pathetic, I would have offed myself.
