When the "regulars" don't have anything new to talk about they just rehash the same topics and talk about stuff that Gerard/MCR said from like 2007 or whatever.
Lets be honest the last post was over a month ago (and that was way out of context imo- yes I know some of you don't agree and that's cool) and we're still talking about it now, with the inclusion of that moron Chantal Claret's little twitter rant and a few other things. But apart from those the blog is dying. Not in a negative way, I'm not saying that the regulars or anyone else opinions are becoming obselete just that MCR (Don't care much for MSI, horrid music) aren't doing/saying anything wrong and so you don't have much to talk about. I personally believe the things that Gerard said in the past were most of the time heat of the moment things because that's just where his head was at. But we'll see.
I think it'll be a while before we get a new blog update.
Last thing, does anyone know why VV doesn't comment on here anymore? She used to a lot and don't go "why don't you just ask her" This is me asking her, but sometimes people are friends outside of blogs so someone else might know.

I've been coming here a long time, and I don't always agree with things posted here. I do think Frank's twitter comments were out of line and I think Gerard is a liar and an all round creep, but I think this latest post is grasping.
I don't think it's grasping. For me, the comment was gross and insensitive even in the context in which it was said.
I think the sites that still support MCR are very quiet at the moment. it's not just this blog. If you look at the sort of places that were once buzzing with people talking about the band, posting photos/fic/art, they're pretty much dead aside from a few old faces and new people mixing in. Lots of people have grown up and moved on.
I think MCR have past their peak and the slowdown of this blog is as a much a sign of that quiet period as it is a sign that people here are moving too. The fansheep shouldn't be complaining, after all, isn't that what they want? For everyone here to leave and stop talking?
For me, I'm still visiting both here and the fansites. I have a difficult relationship with MCR, because I still love their music and I guess there is still some part of me wanting them to make a change for the better and ditch the sexist bullshit. Coming here gives me a way to interact with other people who also see the issues with their words and actions. It helps me know I'm not alone with how I feel.

I think it's interesting what you say. Not all fans are fansheep. The fansheep are the ones who come here to attack us, or attack others elsewhere for having similar issues with MCR. I think it's a bit preposterous for someone to come here and tell us to 'get to know' the MCR fans and engage in 'debate' with them, as if we have never belonged to the MCR fandom.

I personally had to delete my lj because I made some comments in MCR communities about thinking Gerard was lying back in the old Eliza days because of all those 'sane' fans who flamed and spammed my journal and said I wasn't a 'real fan'.

I also wanted to add that we are not here to change the mindset of the fans because I think that most of the time they're only adopting the mindset of their idols without even really thinking about what they're supporting. If tomorrow Gerard would start singing a different tune they would adopt that, too.
