Apparently MCR did a show on Bandit's birthday, some of the MCRmy wanted Gerard to sign stuff later but he didn't. He left straight away with LynZ and his kid. Some of the fans took pictures of his license plate (weirdos) and were accusing him of being big headed or whatever.

My parents took me to one of my Dad's concerts when I was around 2. It was pretty tame (being old time rock and roll, doo-wop, swing, jazz, a whole mix) and mostly adults in the audience. I was still terrified! Because everyone was making so much noise at my Dad, I thought they wanted to hurt him. It was just too much.

They had big "theatrical" tour a couple of years ago remember? Fireworks, ticker tape, fire etc... Bands don't make any money off those tours, it all goes into production. This time it's a "nothing" tour. I think this is a money tour. Make as much as possible then stop. CD sales aren't exactly making them rich.

And deservedly so. I don't think anyone should compare Muse with MCR (even though they are one of GW's favorite bands). Muse are on another planet in terms of lyrics, music, actually being in tune on stage, oh, and equally awesome musicianship from all three members. Yes, a three piece, that own the stage. I have always had a huge amount of respect for three piece bands. It means you have to work really hard, and be very good at your instrument(s).
Anyway, that aside, MSI are a laughing stock, but it still pisses me off that they earned more after their association (through marriage) with MCR. Nepotism is ugly.

Muse? I think it's because Muse will help to sell more festival tickets than MCR. So they will make their money back. Also Muse are a big deal so they can demand that huge fee, as the festival people really want them there and it's in the festival owners interest to have a big band there to help sell tickets.
With MCR, they got them at a reasonable price for a headliner and they will draw in somewhat of a crowd.
Festival people get a percentage of what merch is sold, so yeah, they will be thinking about that too
