Words of compassion from Lindsey Way

"Fuck the tsunami. Who cares?"

Actual quote, people.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There's just no "context" in which this can be funny or even acceptable. If this classless idiot was actually famous, she'd be clamoring to make an official apology right away. But I think that people like this have probably never apologized for anything in their lives.

At least Jared isn't crying over his twitter because people hate pedophilia-mocking idiots like Lindsey Way and telling people 'not to hate her' because of it.

lol, yourself.

Nobody is taking up for Jared Leto, 10:22. I don't particularly even like the guy, and I don't like 30stm. (Negl, I do think Jared is hot, but that's beside the point.)

I'm just saying that you can't read much into what bands say about one another in interviews. It's kind of one big ass-kiss-apolooza when it comes to that sort of thing.

When Jared Leto starts telling young girls to "fuck themselves" for him and "make it convincing", I'll criticize the fuck out of him. For the moment, however, I just don't have strong feelings about him one way or the other.

Hi all.
So I've been kinda a MCR fan past month or something. But then I did research and found these controversial things and I do agree with some arguments of the people disliking or even hating MCR.
I want to understand what this blog is all about - is it a hate blog for MCR? I also read something on twitter (@papalani) and I thought he had some good arguments. I'm really intrested in research this thing cos I do like some of MCR's music (mostly the older albums) but maybe I just don't understand or something. I actually wanted to talk to a 'hater' - if he/she could explain why he/she thinks MCR is such a stupid, hypocrite band. And to one of those girls saying 'MCR saved my life!!'. OK, I know I'm really nolife - but anyway. If you match one of these discriptions, Email me please: jadee_t@hotmail.com

I don't think we classify ourselves as "haters" here, at least most of us.

We don't like the band because we feel they duped us with the pretense of having a pro-woman message, which turned out to be a marketing scheme. We feel the band members are misogynistic, racist liars.

That pretty much sums the whole thing up.

Hocking said...

I'll be honest i got into them for their music before i got into them for their image. I hate the people in the band but i'm not gonna let that stop me from listening to their older music. so i really don't fit into the anon's description

kapunua said...

It would have been great if Jared had said, "I used to like those guys, but they're kind of douchebags now," but this is the real world and it ain't going to happen.

Truth be told, I doubt Jared knows much about the things that have been going on with MCR lately.

This and this. Do you think that someone like Leto follows all the hateful things that MCR says and does? I doubt he even knows about it.

If I didn't know about it, I'd probably still give MCR a try, too. Though I can almost guarantee, from what I've heard about, I wouldn't like their new music.

Still, for me, a band can go in a direction I don't like and I can still respect them. Not sure how I feel about Taking Back Sunday's latest steps. I loved early 30STM much more than I like the new stuff.

But they haven't turned out to be epic misogynist, hate-filled, violence-spewing douchebags who just live to shoot other people down.

So they still have my loyalty.

Anonymous said...

I got into the music first, too, but after a while I discovered that it just wasn't my favorite. This was back during the Three Cheers era, before the Black Parade came out, when I discovered that they just never made the top 25 in my playlist, while bands like TBS, The Used, and Brand New did.

Later, when TBP came out, I just found that I didn't like it. It seemed too contrived, so MCR dropped even farther down my playlist.

Now I listen to other music genres, but I still find myself listening to TBS, The Used and Brand New, but never MCR. Especially with Danger Days. I listened; I did not like.

I think maybe if I still liked MCR's music, I might be more willing to turn a blind eye to their actions. Then again, maybe not. Although I was drawn to them because of the music, I stayed in the fandom because I thought they were good guys. When I discovered otherwise, I turned my back on them completely.

kapunua said...

Also, you guys, Joe is rapping. (And with a really inspiring message, of course. <3) So yeah. ^_^ It's one of those "Joe is rapping, guys, all your arguments are invalid" kind of moments. :D

I just went back and re-read my comment there ^ and I take it back. I wouldn't be able to turn a blind eye, even if I did like their music. Their lies and the level to which they have sunk would make that impossible for me.

11:30, I agree. And for me it's kind of like this: If they were good people, I might turn a blind eye to the crappy music and enjoy them anyway. But, bad people + crappy music is just like, a thousand times NO.

It's far more productive to go out into the real world and get better educated, get a better job, join some clubs or activities, etc., and meet REAL people. That way, you don't need a fantasy life on the internet.

So many people do intentionally misrepresent themselves online. Then, when they meet people IRL they blame those people for running away from them or never contacting them on line again.

This is ridiculous. Who the hell are you to define what is "skinny?"

The girl I train with is 5'2" and she's 140. Her waist is about 25" at the most, she is tiny and made of muscle.

Your ideals are narrow and, frankly, insulting.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'm only 5'3", and I weigh about 120, and people are always telling me I'm skinny.

You don't have to be tall to be skinny.

Anonymous said...

5'2 and 140 pounds is not skinny. Sorry.

Kate Moss is skinny.

kapunua said...

You certainly don't. And I really hate narrow definitions. "Oh, 'skinny' is between here and here, no exceptions."

And then turn this narrow idea of "skinny" into some ideal.

UGH.

Anonymous said...

5'3 and 120 pounds is not skinny either. Sorry. That is very healthy.

5'3 and 110 pounds would be skinny. Those extra 10 pounds make the difference between slim and skinny.

They probably tell you that you're skinny because most of the people in the world are overweight these days.

Anonymous said...

5'3 and 120 pounds = a very, very healthy girl

kapunua said...

3:10, and idiocy is idiocy.

Yes, she is so not 'skinny.'

3:04 said...

Yes, I am healthy. Mainly because I work out and have a lot of muscle, which weighs more than fat.

I wear a size 2, for your information.

3:04 said...

Also, muscular and masculine do not necessarily go together. Although I do have great muscle tone, I am not in the least bulky. But even if I were, that wouldn't necessarily mean I was "masculine".

kapunua said...

Who are you to say what/who is healthy or not? Are you taking blood tests?

3:04 said...

Who are you to say what/who is healthy or not? Are you taking blood tests?

Exactly.

Before I did start working out, I weighed about 112. I went in for a physical and discovered that although I was far from overweight, I had elevated cholesterol, extremely high triglycerides, and reversed LDL/HDL ratios. I also had a vitamin D deficiency.

I went on a low carb, no sugar diet and started working out (and taking fish oil and vitamin D supplements). Now, at 8 pounds heavier, I wear a smaller pants size and have nearly perfect blood work.

kapunua said...

And that's what's so interesting. You can be as bony as anything and still not be actually healthy. It has nothing to do with how many ribs you can feel or how good you look in clothes. It's all about your body chemistry.

"Healthy" is a different weight for everyone.

Dear Verita Venom,
Your post is manipulative and misleading. Not only did you not provide a link to the audio but you also left out the part where Lyn-z says "We would destroy that tsunami with our magical powers." Are you that desperate for material? You are correct, she is not a celebrity and therefore YOU have to search for her. YOU have to look her up on twitter, sit thru a phone call between her and her band mates. The only reason you would do that is because you are searching for ammo and when you couldn't find any you created your own.

gross.

Also, while I'm here, "dishing it out and not being able to take it>" applies to the people who are doing the dishing... The person who wrote to Chantal and then whined on this blog... How young are MCR's fans these days?

Anonymous said...

MCR have become a joke. Seated venues? Playing to ten year olds and their parents? Even they know they suck. They come on and play their 17 songs and then they get off stage without so much as five words in between. It's clear they know they've only got a while left as a band.

I guess them attempting to be dangerous didn't work out for them.

Anonymous said...

MCR should have made that "grown-up record" that Gerard claims he was so afraid of making instead of trying to live in Never-Never Land. Now the fans are even younger and will have shorter attention spans than ever.

I wonder what it feels like to be a 34 year old, pink-haired, poor man's (kid's) version of Justin Bieber?

Allegedly the non sequiturs Way strings together in the song’s bridge are recruitment slogans for an evil terrorist cult of pink-haired atheist vegetarians.

I seriously think some of these concert reviews are trying to make self respecting adults who care about the status quo feel uncomfortable and stupid for going to a MCR show without bringing and being responsible for a child under 15.

I'm still a fan of MCR, but as an adult, I can see through all the crap the band esp Gerard, are saying. Their reasoning for doing a complete 180 on their values is they are 'dangerous'. That isn't a Gerard word, it's an Jimmy Pissface word.
Gerard has gone from 'don't show your tits for backstage passes, spit in their faces' to 'fake an orgasm for me, you'll be doing for the rest of your lives'!
It looks like the shows aren't going down very well, over in US. They got bad reviews over here too, mainly for the lack of enthusiasm, and going straight out after shows, apparently 1 or 2 of them were always ill.
I honestly think this will be the last album they make, unless they release the 'scrapped' album.

Anonymous said...

I agree something's happening in the ranks of MCR. You could forgive these crap, lifeless shows if they were 18 months into touring on this record, but they're barely seven months in and by TBP era standards, haven't even started. They still owe South America and Australia/NZ dates that have not been booked yet. Gerard is moaning on about how touring is a 'young person's game' and how it tires him out thesedays. The joke is, he's only in his mid-thirties. It's not like he's in KISS and doing massive world tours in his late sixties. He's just got soft, and too used to the lifestyle his money has afforded him. He got all excited about Danger Days and touring off it, but when it flopped, now he's beginning to regret it. But the pisser is, he needs to stick with the act for a while longer. Got to pay for the wife and her hobbies, after all.

Hocking said...

I love how he says that touring tires him out when their are bands older than him and his bandmates. Tim Armstrong from Rancid's in his 40s, Green Day are all hitting 40, Bad Religions older.. even the Buzzcocks still play better and with more energy.

Anonymous said...

Mte.

Gerard gave the excuse that the band was exhausted from constant touring (and hinted about how the management *cough*Brian*cough* had scheduled such grueling tours for them) as the reason why he was so grumpy right before and after PR. He also said things would be different on this tour. The only difference I see is they're doing fewer shows at smaller venues, and the band is spending even less time meeting fans.

What are they thinking? They aren't so big that they can afford to act like a bunch of divas.

I think Gerard was thinking that this record would make him the next Lady Gaga, and bring him a new audience and fans and since it didn't, he doesn't want to play anymore.

Anonymous said...

but they're barely seven months in and by TBP era standards, haven't even started.

Of course, by Gerard Time, that 7 months is more like 14. ;)

Anonymous said...

They are all far too young to be complaining about how old they are or using age as an excuse for the difficutlies of touring life. If you don't want to tour anymore just come out and say it.

Like an earlier commentor said there are bands like KISS, The Eagles, Rolling Stones, Ozzy, Aerosmith who have been touring for 35 years without complaint and excuses.

Anonymous said...

There are musicians twice GW's age who still live to make music and play that music live. They live to tour.

Anonymous said...

I was like, "Lol, whut?" when I saw that interview where Gerard was talking about recording more and touring less.

It's not like MCR are the Beatles, and this is not the 1970's. Bands can't make a living off of record sales these days. They have to tour and sell merch.

Maybe he should consider quitting music altogether.

Anonymous said...

I'm beginning to think that GW would be much happier being a comic artist and writer than he ever could be being a rockstah.

I think that playing on those big stages in those bright lights was MIkey's dream. Never Gerard's.

Anonymous said...

I don't think GW will ever be comfortable enough in his own skin to be the bright star that he could be. That is unfortunate.

Anonymous said...

Gerard doesn't have the talent to be the star he wants to be.

Anonymous said...

Are you talking about the interview where Gerard is saying he wants to record more and not tour as much?

If so, it's here.

Gerard sounds so weird these days, like he has a cold all of the time.
And he looks so uncomfortable when the guy asks him about how the new record is being received. You can so tell he's not happy about the reception it's getting from his body language.

He claimed it was a typo. Blamed it on spellcheck, but my phone is more likely to turn 'raped' into 'ripped'.

Oh well. At least he deleted it.

Anonymous said...

I tried typing "ripped" as "riped" on my iPhone to see how it auto-corrected it, and it turned it to "roped", not "raped". In fact, I tried several misspellings of the word "ripped" and never got "raped" once.

Anonymous said...

At least the dumbass is in the right band.

Are you serious? You actually tried that. Several times?

That's more disturbing than the original incorrectly spelled and auto corrected iphone tweet from Pedicone.

Try rapped or repped. That'll probably do it for you.

Anonymous said...

Try rapped or repped. That'll probably do it for you.

He was typing ripped.

And what's so weird about trying to get your phone to do that? I hate auto-correct with every fibre of my being and my friends and I often fuck around with our phones to see what kind of crazy shit they come up with.

I've never been able to get it to auto-correct to "raped" once.

Maybe you should stop being so hellbent on defending these dumbasses. The guy used offensive language and he got called out on it and he's trying to blame it on his phone. That's pretty much the only explanation.

Anonymous said...

"Rapped" doesn't correct (it's a word), and "repped" corrects to "repaid". "Riped" corrects to "ripped".

The only way the guy got "raped" was to type "raped".

Honestly, I was giving the guy the benefit of the doubt, but it's just not possible to "raped" from auto-correct.

Anonymous said...

Exactly. They think it's edgy to joke about rape. Just like it's edgy to joke about coat hanger abortions.

Sleep on sidewalks outside of venues to be 1st in line and get barricade?
Really?
Girls over 15YO do that?
Grown women without teen girls to chaperone do that?

O.M.G.

@10:51

I don't see the problem with getting in line early. If you love it and you're excited, it's really fun. If I had the opportunity, I would do it for the Harry Potter premiere. Yeah it's an epic waste of time but it's a fun epic waste of time.

Hocking said...

indeed it is. I showed up the day before for a festival that A7X was playing.. met a lot of people who i still stay in touch with. I actually have class with one of them this quarter. Plus it turned out to be one of The Rev's last shows so it means even more to me now. One of my best memories was watching the band show up in their bus, cause they came out and talked to us. They were great about it.

In other news Matthew Followill is now a dad! Congrats to him

Right. If you were typing 'raped'. But the a key is nowhere near the 'i', which is the vowel in 'ripped'. So your statement just kind of supported the contention that he meant to type 'raped' all along.

Lol.

Back in the day I camped out overnight to get tickets to see The Police, but that was when I was in college. Now that I have a job, a house (and the mortgage that goes with it), and kids, I would not consider doing those things. I think if you look closely at those 'grown' women who camp out with the kids, you'll see that they don't have much else in their lives but MCR.

Anonymous said...

Matthew Followill is the father of a son named Knox Cameron Followill. I'm thinking he'll go by Cameron, which is likely, because it's a Followill tradition to use your middle name.

Congrats to Matthew and his lovely wife!

I'm in college and I have better things to do than camp out at a show for a spot at the barrier. Like, you know, studying for finals?

I love going to shows, but lining up outside the venue when you already have tickets just so you can get your ass crushed at the barrier is ridiculous. I've had friends who have done it, and a lot of times they end up being sick, dehydrated and exhausted and have had to be pulled out of the pit. No thanks.

I have a great time at concerts, and I've been to dozens of them, starting from the time I was about 12. I'm very good at dodging and weaving whenever there's an empty spot, and I've wound up at the barrier lots of times without getting to the venue early, but it's still not worth the bruises you have the next day.

Anonymous said...

Wow. There's a novel idea. I bet you're one of those girls who actually wants to get a good job and be able to take care of yourself financially one day without having to depend on a man. Where are your priorities? Don't you think partying and getting barrier at shows is more important than things like grades?

I couldn't agree more.

Try googling 'punish fuck' and just see the horrible, misogynistic descriptions of the porn that it pulls up.

Example: 18yo hot brunette Brooke Lee Adams works at a coffee shop and she's dumb-as-fuck. The service is slow and one costumer finally has enough. He punishes her ...

Yeah. This is the kind of thing that Gerard and co are exposing their preteen audience to.

And you really believe that Pedicone meant to say "Ripped dem Slits"? Kinda doubt that.

I really don't understand some people on here. You claim to hate MCR, hate what they say, what they stand for etc but you watch their every move, waiting for them to say or do something you don't like just so you can come on this blog to moan about them.

If you disprove of them so much, why are you still interested in them? If you truly hated them wouldn't you just prefer to ignore them and pretend like they don't exist rather then coming on this blog to talk about them?

Like, I'm not an MSI fan but I'm not gonna go round and read tweets or articles about them, then run to a blog just to bitch about it. I'd rather just pretend they don't exist and invest my time in things I DO like.

I'm an MCR fan but I like this blog, some of it I actually agree with. I'm not saying that because I'm a fan I'm more entitled to comment or anything, I'm just wondering if you're not a fan of the band anymore and you hate them then why would you bother keeping up with and talking about what they do?

Finally, an article about the Glenn Beck fiasco that puts Sing and Gerard's response into proper perspective.

I was wondering if anyone else felt that Gerard's angry response to the criticism was as over-the-top as I did. He came off as so pretentious, as if there is some great meaning in a piece of pop drivel like Sing.

The only point the article misses is how obviously thrilled MCR were that Mr. Beck's criticism actually generated some much needed publicity for them and their crappy song.

Speaking of auditions, Joe, I'm gonna try to get you to confirm something that's become part of your lore. When John Cameron Mitchell does press, as he just recently did during Oscar season, he often talks about the fact that you sent in an audition video tape for his sexually explicit film Shortbus, even though you didn't end up doing the movie.

Correct.

Will you confirm the contents of what was on that videotape?

Uh … no. [Laughs.]

I've heard rumors that it was you getting intimate with yourself to the tune of a Janis Joplin song.

Uh-huh … Well, it was a fun little workshop he had going, and it was a cool process. I knew John — actually, my producing partner is friends with him — and I knew what he was doing and found it really intriguing.

LEAK THIS PLEASE.

*coughcough* I mean, err. oh, how artistic. ^_^;;

kapunua said...

One more thing. Both Glenn Beck and MCR are too dense to realize that they have the same exact agenda, they just have different ways of phrasing it. They're all a bunch of bloated, money-grabbing sexist boors. It's just that Glenn Beck speaks in political terms, and MCR speaks in violent terms.

That's really the only difference.

Blogger is back now. We're still working on restoring some of the data. For more details, see this post: http://buzz.blogger.com/2011/05/blogger-is-back.html

Anonymous said...

Before the person who wrote the comment about JGL's 'sex tape' comes back to call us hypocrites again, I would like to point out a couple of things.

1) Nobody knows what's on that audition tape. Regardless, it's not a traditional 'sex tape' where he's having sex with someone. It's an audition tape he made and it doesn't involve anyone other than himself. And even if it did...

2) The existence of a sexy audition tape has absolutely nothing to do with being a misogynist or a racist.

Once again, some MCR fan has proven that they don't know the definition of sexism. Nobody here has a problem with sex. Why is that so difficult for these fangirls to understand?

kapunua said...

^ Those were basically the same thoughts I wanted to post before Blogger up and took a crap.

What you said anon, and also it's like this.

I don't know how many times I have to say this. I don't care what people do with their sex lives. How is that any of my concern?

Plus the fact that he did an audition tape. How is that any different from doing a sex scene in an actual movie?

The "OMG U HIPPOCRATES" anon also said that if this was someone from the MCRMSI camp I would be disgusted. Yer darn tootin I would. I would rather bathe in a bucket of leeches than see any sex tapes with those people. That's because they are repulsive.

It has less to do with looks than it has to do with how repugnant MCRMSI are to me. I know them to be sexist, racist, violent and hateful people. I also have heard too many rumors about how badly they stink. So yeah, a sex tape with those people would make me want to vomit.

JGL on the other hand seems like a really super sweet guy. He comes across as a pretty devout liberal, he speaks up for LGBT rights, I've never heard JGL be abusive towards women, nor have I heard even any rumors about him being abusive, either physically or verbally to women, whereas MCRMSI is pretty well known for being verbally abusive to their female fans.

"Hotness" to me has more to do with values than looks.

So yes, I'd rather stick my face into a bucket of razor blades and alcohol than even consider a sex tape with any from their crew.

OTOH if JGL ever decided to release his audition tape, why, anon,

I WOULD BE DELIGHTED.

Anonymous said...

If anybody releases that tape of JGL masturbating for the camera they're going to get sued.

No one was picking anyone up. One time I had my arm caught and seriously thought my wrist was going to break. It was not cool. Got out of the pit to actually enjoy the show. I can't even believe this blog. If you don't like a band, you don't listen to them. You don't make some shitty blog dedicating your time to their lives and twisting everything to make them look bad. I mean, really? Are you a petty teenager with a chip on your shoulder? You like them or you don't, and for someone who doesn't like them, you spend an awful lot of your time on them.

Shannon said...

And I would just like to point out that this blog isn't doing shit for feminism. Gerard Way and Lynz are completely irrelevant when it comes to the bigger picture. So if you're such a feminist, and you hate homophobia and whatever else you think this blog is for, then you need to rethink what you've been putting all your effort into.

What effort? One comment a day isn't an 'effort'.

Anonymous said...

So if you're such a feminist, and you hate homophobia and whatever else you think this blog is for, then you need to rethink what you've been putting all your effort into.

Yeah, that's the same argument I hear when people say "if you're so into civil rights, you need to lay off the people carelessly using racial slurs and concentrate on the bigger issues".

The problem with that is a) you're telling people how and why to be offended, and b) you're glossing over the fact that what you view as petty and harmless behaviour actually contributes to a negative racist/sexist/misyogyist culture. Just look at the blowback from the #smashedface tweet: thousands of MCRmy teenage girls threatening to kill anyone who spoke out against Gerard and laughing about violence against women. Hardly just a drop in the ocean, I think. It's further damage to the goals feminists fight towards. I'm sorry you don't agree with this blog but if you really feel that strongly about how we spend our time, then I don't know what to say that would please you. I suspect nothing would.

Anonymous said...

Let's not forget: abortion jokes, rape jokes, shaming women for using public toilets, mocking five-year old rape victims, trivialising victims of natural disasters etc.

This band, their wives and friends really know how to take the high road.

Anonymous said...

Gerard Way and Lynz are completely irrelevant when it comes to the bigger picture.

So why do you feel the need to come here and police our opinions?

Maybe because you know, deep down, that they're not that irrelevant. If just one girl walks away from something anyone in MCR or MSI have said or done thinking she is any less of a person or an easy victim for the hatred of men for simply having a vagina, then that's enough damage. If one single girl doesn't report a rape because Mike Pedicone or Jimmy Urine make light of sexual assault and she ends up thinking she'll be as mocked as the women in MSIs music, that's damage. If a girl shouts at her boyfriend, he smashes her face in, and she doesn't report it, because people like Gerard tell her she deserves to be hit if she gets a bit mouthy, them that's damage enough.

Who the hell are you to tell or anyone else what is irrelevant? In a fandom made up of 90% women and girls, our concerns seems pretty damn relevant to me.

Anonymous said...

I agree. It's the messages these people are sending out that are dangerous. You'd think they'd be concerned too, seeing as they were labelled a cult that promoted self-harm and suicide. But promoting violence and prejudice against women doesn't seem to be an issue for them.

Anonymous said...

You don't make some shitty blog dedicating your time to their lives and twisting everything to make them look bad. I mean, really? Are you a petty teenager with a chip on your shoulder?

Let's get a few things clear, Shannon.

First of all, I am not a petty teenager with a chip on my shoulder. I am a grown woman with a twenty year old daughter. I have a career, two children, a paid for house and a very full life. I am involved in many causes and contribute both time and money to different charitable organizations and causes. I "dedicate" very little of my time to MCR.

I do, however, take the time to come to this blog and read up on their current stupidity and to comment on it. Why? Because at one time, my daughter was one of those young girls who was taken in by this band. She looked up to Gerard Way because he was one of a very few men she had to look up to. Her father was an alcoholic and a drug addict and not much of a role model. Gerard's story of sobriety gave her hope that there were some "good guys" out there. She felt betrayed when she discovered he was not.

She doesn't really give him a second thought anymore, but I can tell you that she doesn't have a boyfriend. Doesn't want one. She doesn't trust men and she doesn't plan to marry. Is that Gerard Way's fault? No, it's her father's. But, Gerard had the opportunity to help teach her that all men are not bad, yet he chose to teach her (and many other young girls) that many men are hypocrites who will lie and pretend to be whatever you want them to be until they get what they want from you (in his case, record sales).

Now he's advocating violence against women.

Like someone else said, the message these guys send out affects some of the most vulnerable and impressionable young girls out there. They are dangerous and destructive, and they need someone to speak out against them.

Hello people!

First of all, what's wrong with blogger these days?

Secondly, I think it's funny that people still come here and tell us that this blog is ridiculous and that the peope here are only wasting their time.
I would say that people have as much right to create a place on the internet to talk about things or people they dislike as the people who have their place to talk about the things and people they like. Simple as that.
The difference is that we don't come to your fan pages, fan forums, tumblrs, blogs or twitter sites to tell you how annoying you are with your blind idolatry of those people or to bully and harrass you for being a fan of that shitty band.
Most of you MCRyans are doing exactly what you are accusing us of, namely looking for things to get riled up about so that you can prove to each other how devoted you are to your brainless idols and to gang up on/bully people who have different opinions than you.

This reminds me of something really funny when I was doing some research on that Shredicone tweet and Gerard's punish fuck comment.
(Btw, I found his punish fuck speech here on YouTube. Can you imagine that Kerrang tweeted this as a quote when they reported on that concert in real time that night? How fucked up is that?)
There really is a Twitter account called 'Wemakesomenoise' who was created to ask 'Killjoys' to join the fight against bullying. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
They even beg those idiots in MCR to retweet their shit or answer them.
I really thought You brainless idiots. On what planet have you been living that you didn't notice when your shit-for-brains overlord incited his meat puppets to bully me with his tweet and those stupid asses happily obliged?

And that's why this blog is so important and has its justification because I sure as hell know that after what happened on Twitter and how much attention it attracted, Gerard will most likely shut up for a while when it comes to giving one of his speeches in which he wants to lecture his fans about how bad bullying or violence is or giving another interview in which he feels the need to tell the readers about how much of a feminist he is.
That's what this blog is about, to silence this dumbass and expose him and the other idiots in the band for what they are.

For me (and I'm sure for all the others here, too) it's really a small effort to come here and write a few comments. After all, a day still has 24 hours and exposing misogynists is never irrelevant.
Also, you have to begin somewhere. If it's the stupid singer of a band who claims to be a feminist when his actions show that he's anything but or people you meet in your life who piss you off with their sexist drivel. It's always important to take a stand and show those idiots that there are people who won't accept their bullshit.

I also get the feeling that people like you, Shannon, only come here and try to discourage us from talking about people who, according to you, are irrelevant to the bigger picture because you are afraid that we could be right and just want us to go away and abandon this place so that people like you don't have to deal with the fact that somewhere there's a place where people speak the truth about your idols and by doing so those same people also expose people like you for the gullible followers that you are who willingly turn a blind eye to the shit they're saying and doing.
