Words of compassion from Lindsey Way

"Fuck the tsunami. Who cares?"

Actual quote, people.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There's just no "context" in which this can be funny or even acceptable. If this classless idiot was actually famous, she'd be clamoring to make an official apology right away. But I think that people like this have probably never apologized for anything in their lives.

Who the fuck do you think you are to criticize MCR, MSI and JU? You're not even in a band or married to a musician.

It's not exactly a very noble profession, now is it?

Anonymous said...

So by your logic, I suppose Chantal has every right to criticise 'dumb bitches', seeing as how she is one.

Anonymous said...

Girls don't have princess fantasies because of things like the royal wedding. Anyone who knows anything knows that people who marry into the royal family have to come from privilege themselves. No Cinderella stories there.

Chantal is the one who is stupid.

Where the hell did my post go? O_O

Anyway. here's what happened.

Last night I was dicking around on TUmblr and I hit a link without knowing what it was. it ended up being the video for I'm Not OK. Here's the strange thing: I didn't remember how the song went.

I back clicked (because, eww, bad vibes,) and then tried to see if I could remember. The chorus came back to me, but that was it. Then I tried to see if I could remember any of their other songs. I got the first few notes of Helena, and everything else was a total blank.

It's kind of cool, really. I don't remember a thing about their music. Which I guess goes to show that it wasn't that memorable in the first place (because I can usually remember melodies I heard once, years ago.) But MCR - nothing. Gone.

Interesting!

Anonymous said...

I have a hard time believing you can't remember songs you listened to for years. This is just more hate talking.

Anonymous said...

Well Lindsey can forget her own racist, pedophilia mocking songs easily enough, so I don't see why we can't do that to someone elses.

Anonymous said...

I have a hard time believing you can't remember songs you listened to for years. This is just more hate talking.

I don't.

I'm the same way with MCR. When I stopped listening to them I deleted their songs from my iTunes, and was very surprised to see that most of them had very low play counts. I listened to some songs from Revenge a lot (Prison, Thank You for the Venom), but not nearly as much as I did other bands from that era. And I barely listened to anything from TBP.

I think I was more into the band's image and (phony) ideals than I ever was their music. It's pretty forgettable, imo.

kapunua said...

I didn't listen to them for years. I listened to them between 06 and 07 IIRC, maybe a year. I deleted everything directly after Gerard's "I want you to f*** yourselves, JUST the ladies," thing. I threw out the CDs.

And the music is just highly forgettable, I guess.

Anonymous said...

I think it's highly forgettable too. I think the production on Three Cheers made it a decent record, but I never liked Bullets and I hated TBP.

I can still listen to Prison, but only because of Bert McCracken. :)

Anonymous said...

So how much you think Warner paid Glenn Beck to say mean things about MCR's lyrics? After all, isn't it good publicity when that guy hates on you?

Honestly, why would that guy even know who MCR is?

Anonymous said...

Girls don't have princess fantasies because of things like the royal wedding. Anyone who knows anything knows that people who marry into the royal family have to come from privilege themselves. No Cinderella stories there.

Very true.

And people who are rude disgusting vulgar coarse and egotistical, marry other people that share the same traits and background.

What is it with some that just have to re-badge and promote mediocre people as inspirations to young girls? What is wrong with these people?

I don't see any other musician publicly endorsing their wives so enthusiastically to their fans.

Maybe these other musicians are far more mature than this stupid baboon.

Their record is a fight because nobody is buying it.

Anonymous said...

I don't think MCR is experiencing low sales because they're rock. I think it's because this new record doesn't appeal to anyone but little girls and diehard MCR fans (read 'loonies'). They aren't rock enough to pull in the rock audience and aren't mainstream pop enough to compete with Lady Gaga and Rhianna. This 'art' thing just isn't doing it the general record buying public.

If they are trying to become a cult band much like their friends they are heading the right way.

Imo MCR aren't selling well because a lot of people consider their music average and their image, which appears to be a creation of marketing, has become a subject of derision since they attached themselves to MSI.

chantalclaret Great now every dumb bitch is gonna have that stupid princess fantasy again. #getajob #earnityourself

Clearly Chantal doesn't know a thing about Kate Middleton. First off, Kate is the first Princess to have a degree. Secondly, she didn't sit around-she actually had a job.

I like Kate as well. She oozes class and elegance-unlike the trashy Chantal and her equally trashy friends.

Even is Kate wasn't married to William, she still has a rich family and that hasn't stopped her getting a job and contributing to society. She could qiute easily sit on her ass all day doing nothing with or without William.

Kate's a real woman. Ignore the fact that she's beautiful - she's still intelligent, down to Earth, holds herself well publically and has dignity. Lindsey and Chantel can never claim any of the that about themselves.

Kate is an inspiration and not because she married a prince. Girls should want to be more like her because the points listed above.

I think Chantel is a misinformed, ignorant little bitch who should keep her comments about Kate Windsor to herself.

Anonymous said...

I'm not the only one who thought what Chantal said was wrong then.

Anonymous said...

I would ignore anything that group says. They are too wrapped up in themselves.

Anonymous said...

You can't compare someone like Kate to these people. It has nothing to do with wealth. It's all about the way they conduct themselves and the way they present themselves to the world. They are just plain vulgar.

GW's new twitter?

Anonymous said...

Pretty sure that's a role playing account. The 'real' Gerard (if such a thing exists) wouldn't follow that many people or reply to them unless they were celebs.

Anonymous said...

No, Gerard is above conversing with fans. Unless he's calling them names or telling them he'd like to smash in their faces.

Anonymous said...

I think Kate is the real inspiration. She can stand shoulder to shoulder with her husband and say she is his equal. They are both educated, work hard, classy and well spoken.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Gerard likes fans very much. In fact I think he likes fucking with their heads. He's done it before with the is he or isn't he engagement with Eliza and the promise of Mama and Prison videos that never came.

Now he's doing it with the Killjoys storyline. First he said they were doing a gap video with Planetary (Go!) and now he's saying they probably won't do it with the next single either because it's more "interesting" to "stretch it out". In other words, to make the fans squirm.

I don't think there will be more than 4 videos, especially with Gerard talking about recording again already.

I'm still a fan, but I'm getting tired of being lied to.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Chantal should have directed her "get a job" comments to Alicia Way?

Anonymous said...

I think because the album flopped and the video's aren't getting airplay, Warner pulled the funding that might have been there for a third Killjoy video. They just can't afford to throw good money after bad if it's not going to catch on as a concept.

Anonymous said...

Gerard's talk of building a studio and recording when the band wants on their own time, blah, blah, sounds to me like they are coming to the end of their relationship with Warner.

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure. They have a very strong relationship with Rob Cavallo, who is pretty much top dog now at Warner. I think it's more likely that the pressure is on them to push out another record asap, and drop the concept/costume bullshit. Rob was building a private studio in his house where they re-recorded the album, so that's probably where Gerard's got that idea, although I'm sure the amount of money wasted on production costs the last time around wasn't out of his mind when he made that statement.

Anonymous said...

I think they will go into the studio and come out with another more Black Parade-like record and then do a bunch of interviews where they talk about how Danger Days was them trying not to be like them, but they realized that they had to be true to themselves and go back to their roots and make darker music and blah, blah, blah, ad nauseam.

Anonymous said...

Nah, the peak in that 'scene' which gave them such great sales has passed. Emo is over, and most of their massive fanbase at that time was made up of emo/scene kids. They need to make a good, mature rock album that stands up on it's own feet and doesn't need all the marketing crap to dress it up and sell it. They need to grow the hell up, quite frankly. This little 'fuck everything/be dangerous/wear color' episode of Gerard's seems to have backfired.

Anonymous said...

Lol, I wonder when the MCRmy will see through their bullshit?

Anonymous said...

They need to make a good, mature rock album that stands up on it's own feet and doesn't need all the marketing crap to dress it up and sell it. They need to grow the hell up, quite frankly.

I agree that's what they need to do, but I don't think they will. I think they're just too damn stubborn to do anything that makes actual sense because they're too caught up in the "I make my own rules" mindset.

Anonymous said...

Lol, I wonder when the MCRmy will see through their bullshit?

A lot of us already have.

Anonymous said...

The MCRmy will eventually grow up and move on. No one will replace them, that's the thing. MCR has got a short shelf life, and I think that's why Gerard is losing it now. The facts of the situation are grinding him down. DD backfired, flopped, and the band is a laughing stock. No matter what they try, none of the singles will take off. MCR are just one big failure thesedays.

Anonymous said...

I think Kate is the real inspiration. She can stand shoulder to shoulder with her husband and say she is his equal. They are both educated, work hard, classy and well spoken.

I agree. Her parents have raised her well.

Anonymous said...

True. They just seem so desperate thesedays. From the shitty overpriced merch to the claims that Libya picked up their song as an anthem, right down to the jumping on the Glenn Beck criticism to milk that for all the attention it was worth. It's quite sad, really.

Anonymous said...

The Glenn Beck criticism was directed more at Glee than it was MCR. Yeah, he mentioned their lyrics. Woot.

The thing that kills me is how the band jumped on it so quickly. It was like, "Hell, yeah! Here's a chance to get some publicity!"

Anonymous said...

Which is what they did with the tsunami and SING it for Japan crap.

Anonymous said...

I'm predicting the next album will be Planet of The Apes inspired, and his MSI friends will be wearing chimp masks.

Anonymous said...

I don't know. Gerard seems unhappy to me. I think the record sales thing is really getting to him, despite things he says to the contrary. I think it's only a matter of time before he starts looking for someone to blame, and MSI seems to be a likely candidate.

Hocking said...

That's the thing. a lot of fans who liked the music not the image are tired of hearing about his wife and what an inspiration she is. They buy the magazines looking for an interview not to hear about the wifey.

Anonymous said...

There is a fine line between being proud and bragging. His endless promotion and comments about his wife and how happy they are make him seem annoying. He may not like it, but harping on about your SO and how much you love her loses you fans when you're a boyband like MCR.

Anonymous said...

When Gerard first hooked up with Lindsey, it seemed like it was his plan to bring expose MSI to a wider audience. I think what ultimately happened is that he helped MSI, but hurt MCR.

Oh well. Hindsight and all that. Gerard's got nobody to blame but himself.

Anonymous said...

^strike the superfluous bring. *heh*

Anonymous said...

I knew a lot of MCR fans who had no problem with Gerard marrying Lindsey, but they didn't like MSI's music. Those people were very upset to find out that MSI was involved with Danger Days, myself included. It was a really bad idea to let MSI influence their music, imo.

Anonymous said...

I totally agree with you 11.04, it pisses me off that they are crawling all over Danger Days and the videos!
It has damaged MCR, and the sooner they realise that the better.

Anonymous said...

The damage is done. They will be associated with those idiots for a long time.

Pretty sure that's a role playing account. The 'real' Gerard (if such a thing exists) wouldn't follow that many people or reply to them unless they were celebs.

I started thinking that, but now I'm not so sure. GW hasn't said much about Lindsey recently. Maybe the label got involved because of poor record sales. This 'heart' is constantly promoting her and saying how much they love her and it's also the way they say it that makes me believe it could be him.

Anonymous said...

geewaysheart: Gotten a couple questions about drinking. I DO, actually. In moderation, in loving company. I don't stress myself over it anymore.

Anonymous said...

Do I think he would open a new twitter and brainwash his fans about MSI on this one? Possibility. Or it could be a friend of Lindsey behind it, in my opinion.

Anonymous said...

Well, looks like MSICR like dishing it out, but the stupid jackasses can't handle it when the tables are turned.

I never liked Chantal, even more so when she drank (or pretended to drink) her husbands urine on camera.

Yeah, Chantal's one classy dame.

Thing is, Chantal should have kept her mouth shut about the royal wedding. She obviously knows nothing about Kate Middleton, and the whole #getajob thing was ridiculous. Does she not realize how much responsibility being a member of the royal family carries with it? Kate just signed on for one of the most difficult and demanding jobs anyone can imagine. It's not all garden parties and tiaras.

Chantal is an idiot.

Pixie said...

Exactly, I pointed out that Kate went to university and has a job, and I got back was ' just got your booksmart doesn't mean your smart, useless piece of shit'

Yes. It must be so tough being a princess, future queen and heir to a fortune.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure it was tough for Diana. After all, it did end up killing her.

Anonymous said...

Having an inexpensive 55 million $ wedding was such a classy considerate thing to do in these tough economic times with so much devastation from natural disasters in the world.

/ sarcasm

Anonymous said...

Being a princess isn't what killed Diana. A car accident killed her.

Anonymous said...

A) The wedding was paid for my Charles, The Queen, and The Middletons. And yes, before you start with the LOL TAX DODGING FREELOADERS, the Royal Family exchanged a great deal of land with the government in a deal for getting a certain amount of money every year. That land would be selling for billions of pounds thesedays. It's not like they get everything for free, people. Do your research.

B) Yes, a car accident killed Diana while she was being hounded by press interested in her because she was a princess. Kate might be subject to the same treatment by the press. That would be horrible to deal with.

Anonymous said...

FYI, the cost of the royal family to the public in the UK is about 41 million a year, which is easily offset by the money they bring into the economy in terms of tourism. So they actually make the country money, not steal from it.

Anonymous said...

Having an inexpensive 55 million $ wedding was such a classy considerate thing to do in these tough economic times with so much devastation from natural disasters in the world.

That wedding has revived interest in the UK and will bring in millions of pounds in tourism over the next five to ten years. If you want to go after the people wasting money in these times, go after the banks. William is a great example of a charitable human being. His and Kate's wedding list was basically a list of charities they wanted people to donate to. That alone probably raised a few million for good causes.

Anonymous said...

Yes. It must be so tough being a princess, future queen and heir to a fortune.

Anonymous said...

6:05, I agree that the "art" thing isn't pulling people in, and I largely think that's because MCR isn't going far enough with it. It's very hard to say "art is the weapon" and leave it at that. How is art the weapon? What kind of art are they encouraging in their fans other than wearing costumes to their show or using their art to promote the new version of "Sing?"

I could applaud their art as protest against corporate greed message...if they were doing something with it AND if they weren't currently beholden to a major corporation. And the shame of it is that there ARE people genuinely using art as a weapon against what our society is becoming, but rather than tap into that area, MCR has just adapted it as a slogan the same way the Spice Girls took "Girl Power!" from Riot Grrrl and made it both more easily accessible and yet meaningless.

Anonymous said...

They don't have a message with this album. It's simply meaningless, not-very memorable music.

I also think the "Art is the Weapon" slogan didn't appeal to their fans. The fans went along with it, but didn't really "get" it. To be honest, I didn't understand it either.

Anonymous said...

Exactly, 11:15.

I keep thinking "Art is the weapon" against what???

Gerard has even said that they don't want to be viewed as saviors, heroes, role models, etc., so it seems to me that their catch phrase is just meaningless.

They're sending out mixed messages, especially when Warner does something like offering cheap replicas of the Killjoy's jackets, when fans were thinking they should go out and find their own "Killjoy identity". That was just one more thing that shows us that the "Art is a weapon" thing is just a bunch of marketing hooey.

Anonymous said...

I think the whole promo now is totally directionless. It's full of mixed messages to the fans and there's nothing to appeal to anybody else. I would expect them to be back in the studio by the end of the year. The things Gerard's saying about 'not being able to sustain yourself by touring alone' makes me think they're not making much profit on touring which is the part of the job he hates after the buzz of the first few weeks has worn off. They'll be back with something else soon, and plenty more 'limited edition' merch.

Anonymous said...

LOL snap with the 'mixed messages' statement. Too fucking true.

Anonymous said...

I'm not from the UK and even I can see that William and Kate are fantastic representatives for the country and young people in general even though they are privileged.

Anonymous said...

Did you hear that, guys? We don't like Panty Shot because we aren't intelligent enough to understand it!

That seems to be the standard reply when they cannot explain logically and coherently the basis for that piece of garbage.

Anonymous said...

The thing is, there are wealthy people in this world. Always have been, always will be. Those people give to charities, and the Royal family is no exception. But nobody expects them to give up their lifestyles any more than we expect the common man to give up his holiday so he can contribute to charity, or to give his warm coat to the homeless.

Anonymous said...

Anymore than anyone would expect Donald Trump or Paris Hilton to give up their extravagant lifestyles. They've earned it through hard work.

Anonymous said...

Young women have princess fantasies because they grew up watching crap from Disney like Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast, or even worse crap like the film Pretty Woman. I don't see anybody as role models. I just think British tradition as lovely, as do many others.

Anonymous said...

Now they've seen the real live crap of a monarchy which does more damage than a fictitious animated film ever could. Why? Because Kate and William are real flesh and blood people not cartoon or children's story characters.

If I recall correctly there were at least one or more posters here who lost their partner(s) as a result of the 9/11 attacks. If they are still around, and up to it, it would be nice to hear how they feel after Obama's announcement.

Pixie what you tweeted to her did not warrant this sort of response which was highly defensive and very crude, though my way of thinking is, she she dropped her fake face for that very moment and revealed her true self to you. I don't think the others in the band would be any different.

Chantal was right. Young women don't need to have anymore princess fantasies. Whether it's a product of Disney or a product of a monarchy.

1, Chantal is an ignorant dumbass.

2, the only one's having "Princess fantasies" are girls aged 6 or under. Grown woman know better.

Justice may have been done by killing Bin Laden, but at what cost, and who's justice?

I wouldn't call staying ten years in Afghanistan and killing countless innocent Afghani men, woman and children- not to mention completely destroying their country-justice.

Well, if the Americans are happy, that's all that matters, right?

Anonymous said...

Can everyone keep in mind, to kill one man, America has ended thousands of innocent lives in the process.

Anonymous said...

Thousands of innocent lives were ended on September 11th.

Anonymous said...

Are you saying the 9/11 atrocity justifies the war in Afghanistan and then Iraq?

Anonymous said...

I would say that the terrorists attacks on 9/11 justify the international war on terrorism. Yes.

Anonymous said...

If the Bin Laden had been dealt with under the Clinton admin 9/11 would not have happened. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq probably would not have happened.

Hindsight is 20/20 and what is or isn't done is done.

Anonymous said...

Bill Clinton's greatest regret as president of the USA
not getting Bin Laden when he had the chance(s).

Anonymous said...

What would you say justifies the war in Libya 12:28?

That's what I've been trying to figure out.

Anonymous said...

I get the war on terrorism. I get the war in Iraq. I don't get this new war. Why are the US and Britain dropping bombs on Libya?

Anonymous said...

Well, if the Americans are happy, that's all that matters, right?

It's not only Americans, but most of Europe as well who are relieved that Bin Laden is dead.

Anonymous said...

People seem to forget that the war on terrorism is an on going, international war. That Bin Laden planned and funded terrorist attacks all over the world. Germany, Israel, GB, US, off the coasts of Africa, Europe and on.

Anonymous said...

Russia, Germany, Italy and France also applauded U.S. forces for killing bin Laden. But many, like French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, also offered a note of caution.

Anonymous said...

The war in Libya is a war of principle, and it is very complicated. Not many people do understand it, and it's not that easy to explain.

I suggest you google Qaddafi,(or Gaddafi, as it's usually spelled on the internet) and read about it.

Anonymous said...

Aren't all wars wars of principle. Of someone's principles.

Anonymous said...

I'm not trying to justify the war in Libya to you. I'm saying that if you don't understand why it's happening, go do some research.

Anonymous said...

So it seems that Chantal was all, "Partay!" on her twitter last night when she heard the news about Bin Laden, but after all her friends started re-tweeting the Martin Luther King quote about not rejoicing over the death of an enemy, she changed her tune.

LOL at these people who have no opinions or beliefs of their own, yet they claim they "make their own rulez!"

Newsflash: conformity is still conformity, whether you're conforming to what society as a whole tells you or whether you're caving to peer pressure from your "non-conformist" friends.

I thought this was an MCR blog, as stated many times by the regulars here. JGL ass kissing should be done elsewhere.

Anonymous said...

It's been made clear by the regulars and Verita herself that we can talk about anything here. Verita even made a post about JGL, so fuck off 11:46.

Anonymous said...

Verita made a post about how this blog was a direct response to Mayo's blog.

Let's all talk about that blog and welcome those regs here or fuck off.

Anonymous said...

It's been made clear 11:53. There would be no VV blog had there not been a Mayonaise blog.

Why? Because VV herself and the original posters here believed that Mayo was Gerard Way.

Fuckin batshit delusional psychos.

Anonymous said...

11:53 is just butthurt because she can't be the center of attention. Ignore the butthurt troll and get back to talking about MCR.

That has to hurt killjoys who spent time and money on making those killjoys costumes.

Anonymous said...

Joseph Gordon-Levitt talks with MTV about Looper.

:)

Anonymous said...

Looks like TBP isn't the only thing that's dead.

The Killjoys are dead too.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Gerard about the part where he says the Killjoys make no sense.

Anonymous said...

I think that GW and the other members of MCR were really shocked by the fact that Danger Days didn't chart better and isn't selling better than it is.

I think they're also surprised by the fact that their concert audience is getting younger instead of older.
It's not what they hoped for.

Anonymous said...

I don't think the Killjoys were ever more than an afterthought 12:19 and once the fandom embraced the whole Killjoy persona MCR had no idea what to do about it.

The Killjoys weren't supposed to mean so much to the fans. The music was supposed to stand on it's own.

Major backfire.

Anonymous said...

I feel sorry for MCR. I don't their fans will ever be mature enough to know that it's supposed to be about the music and not about the costumes and characters.

Anonymous said...

It's MCR's fault. Who in their right mind would think ray buns and all that s*** was a good idea?

Anonymous said...

^ Lol, I meant guns, not "buns".

Anonymous said...

I knew some people who went to a couple of the shows and they mentioned that fans aren't really that into the new stuff. The crowd only goes nuts for songs like Helena and WTTBP. They even said the new merch doesn't seem to be selling.

Anonymous said...

LynZ's latest Tweet is really admirable. This comes from someone who doesn't like her too much,

Anonymous said...

I have a friend on lj who is one of those crazy, make your own Killjoys costume, go to every show within driving distance, be first in line and get barrier types, and she claims that fans are into the new music, but you really can't tell what's going on behind you when you're at the barrier.

All I know is, she's the only friend I have from the old Three Cheers days who still goes to the shows at all.

Anonymous said...

What is Lindsey's last tweet? I don't follow her.

Anonymous said...

If it's the quote from Martin Luther King, all the "cool" people are re-tweeting that.

Even Chantal.

Anonymous said...

Yes that's the quote, but it ended up being a fake quote. I do agree with the sentiment, but that is easy to say as I didn't lose a loved one in the 9/11 attacks. If I had I doubt I would feel so tranquil about it all.

Anonymous said...

LynZ's latest Tweet is really admirable. This comes from someone who doesn't like her too much,

When you want to give a good image of yourself you tweet things like this. I don't really see her as different to Gerard who used to say all sorts of things to give the band a good image. Look how that turned out.

Anonymous said...

Imo admirable people would never participate in the kind of music she did and use varying excuses to support it.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, out of topic but what was that thing about MCR and fake 9/11 stories? Didn't they get in trouble for it or something?

Anonymous said...

Lol @all the people "quoting" MLK, when MLK never even said that.

Do you think Lindsey or Chantal ever got the memo?

Anonymous said...

Everybody who credited that quote to MLK should change it to give the real person who said it credit. Jessica Dovey

Anonymous said...

Jessika, LynZ and Chantal weren't the only ones who used that fake MLK quote on twitter. That quote went viral.

It's a good quote. Just not a MLK quote.

Anonymous said...

As far as I know, MCR never got into any trouble over faking 9/11 stories because who is going to question them on it? Fans? Pfft.

All I know is that the court documents filed in Matt Pelissier's lawsuit stated that My Chemical Romance had formed "on or before September 1, 2001." Which means that Gerard's story about forming the band after 9/11 was not true.

That still doesn't keep every magazine article ever written about them from continuing to repeat the story. And fans still believe it.

Anonymous said...

Okay, wait.

Who says we can't post things about Joseph Gordon Levitt here? He's certainly more interesting and a lot more fun than those idiots in MCR.

Thanks for the MTV video, 12:17. I hadn't seen that one yet. :D

Anonymous said...

Okay, wait.

Who says we can't post things about Joseph Gordon Levitt here?

Some troll from Mayo's who doesn't like JGL because Kapunua does. Their loss.

Ignore.

Anonymous said...

If it is from Mayo's then I doubt the problem is that SHE likes HIM. It's the same problem that they had with her when it was Mayo. It's that HE likes HER. Mayo didn't make a secret of liking her poetry. Joe-Gordon Levitt doesn't make a secret of liking her poetry. That gets a wild hair up their asses so they *have to* not like him.

*was there for the heyday of Mayo*

As you were.

Anonymous said...

OK, just checked. Yup, troll from Mayo's, has been posting there for days about how we're all "insane" and shouldn't be allowed off this blog.

Typical "lovely" then, trolling over here.

It is not “justice” unless there is a trial. If Osama was killed, we failed to bring him to justice. What we have succeeded at is murder.
There is nothing honorable in murder.

Now his daughter is saying he was captured THEN he was shot.

I think he should have been brought in alive. There should have been a trial.

By MATTHEW DALY, Associated Press – Tue May 3, 11:17 pm ET
WASHINGTON – The top staffer for the Senate Indian Affairs Committee is objecting to the U.S. military's use of the code name "Geronimo" for Osama bin Laden during the raid that killed the al-Qaida leader.

Geronimo was an Apache leader in the 19th century who spent many years fighting the Mexican and U.S. armies until his surrender in 1886.

Loretta Tuell, staff director and chief counsel for the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, said Tuesday it was inappropriate to link Geronimo, whom she called "one of the greatest Native American heroes," with one of the most hated enemies of the United States.
"These inappropriate uses of Native American icons and cultures are prevalent throughout our society, and the impacts to Native and non-Native children are devastating," Tuell said.
Tuell is a member of the Nez Perce tribe and grew on the tribe's reservation in Idaho. The Senate Indian Affairs panel had previously scheduled a hearing for Thursday on racial stereotypes of native people. Tuell said the use of Geronimo in the bin Laden raid will be discussed.

Steven Newcomb, a columnist for the weekly newspaper Indian Country Today, criticized what he called a disrespectful use of a name revered by many Native Americans.

"Apparently, having an African-American president in the White House is not enough to overturn the more than 200-year American tradition of treating and thinking of Indians as enemies of the United States," Newcomb wrote.

After bin Laden was killed, the military sent a message back to the White House: "Geronimo EKIA" — enemy killed in action.

Anonymous said...

Are Jared, Shannon and Tomo all wearing matching sunglasses in that video?

Anonymous said...

Yeah, like Jared Leto was going to come right out and say, "I think MCR sucks!" so he could get in a pissing contest with Gerard Way about how much "juice" he has. LMAO.

I think Jared was sucking up to MCR fans more than anything else, especially since their music appeals to the same demographic. It would have been great if Jared had said, "I used to like those guys, but they're kind of douchebags now," but this is the real world and it ain't going to happen.

Truth be told, I doubt Jared knows much about the things that have been going on with MCR lately.
