Words of compassion from Lindsey Way

"Fuck the tsunami. Who cares?"

Actual quote, people.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There's just no "context" in which this can be funny or even acceptable. If this classless idiot was actually famous, she'd be clamoring to make an official apology right away. But I think that people like this have probably never apologized for anything in their lives.

i can't believe she would would say something like this in public. I shouldn't be so stunned, after all they mocked pedophilia, so nothing is sacred or to be treated with dignity with this group.

Hocking said...

only the lowest of the low mock people's suffering

Anonymous said...

Doesn't she understand how people are suffering from this disaster? Does she know what the words respect and compassion mean? That's just disgraceful.

Anonymous said...

I think people are going overboard with this. She didn't say fuck the people in Japan, she said fuck the tsunami.

I kind of agree with that. Fuck that damn tsunami and fuck the earthquakes over there. They are the things responsible for killing people.

It's kind of like the Fuck Cancer thing.

Anonymous said...

What do you expect? If she is going to say things that appear dumb and inconsiderate, the majority of people are going to interpret that way. She should have just shut her big trap up.

Anonymous said...

4:26, I was wondering how long it would take the Excuse Trolls to make it in here.

Sorry, but no dice. That's not how she meant it and you know it, if you read the rest of their idiotic conversation.

You fail.

Anonymous said...

4:26, is that why she added "who cares" after it?

Anonymous said...

If you listen to the recording, it's obvious that she didn't mean it the way you all are interpreting it.

She obviously meant "Who cares is there's a tsunami, we'd go tour over there anyway." I guess she should have known better, because things get taken out of context, but Jeez. Can we not be those people who take quotes out of context and give them meanings that suit our purpose?

Anonymous said...

If I knew I was perceived as stupid and conceited I certainly would not go ahead and say dumb things in public to reinforce that image.

Anonymous said...

I thought that's what you were doing 4:37.

4:37 said...

No, I'm putting the words in context.

Anonymous said...

That's only your interpretation.

4:37 said...

Also, I am not a troll. A troll comes here and says, "You are jealous and fat!" or "You're all stupid!"

I'm not attacking anyone. I'm just disagreeing with your interpretation.

I don't like Lindsey any more than you do, but I did not interpret her comment as "Fuck Japan".

Anonymous said...

Those morons should have left that subject alone. It's nothing to joke about.

Anonymous said...

No one said you can't 4:37.

Anonymous said...

I don't think she meant anything bad when she said what she said, but it was a stupid thing to do.

Anonymous said...

Like the post says, it's not funny in any context. It's insensitive and idiotic.

Anonymous said...

where did she say that?

First of all do you have a link of her saying this please?

If she has actually said this, then its horrible but i'd like some proof please.

Also, before everyone gets on their hating high horses, have you donated money to Japan?
Because you should, even if you can't spend money online yo sushi has a donation bucket on its tills, so no excuse.

(i deleted the other comment cause i got some grammar wrong, people who argue can use dumb things against each other)

Anonymous said...

Yeah.. before this post you seemed reasonable, you had valid arguments.. But if you listen to the recording.. She didnt mean it like this at all.. And you know that.

http://popxheart.tumblr.com/post/4909931838/lyn-z-on-speakerphone-during-msi-webchat-22nd Heres the link guys, make of it what you will.> I dont think she intended it to be malicious considering she was talking about unicorns and wizards..

Anonymous said...

I still would have thought it sick and disgusting and an incredibly dense thing to say but if it had just been 'fuck the tsunami' I could have taken it in the context of the cruel 'joke' about touring that she was making. It wouldn't have excused it or changed my opinion on how wrong it was, but I would have shuck my head and though, 'wow, this woman is stupid and ignorant.' It's the 'who cares' that follows that is truely vile. That's not just ignorant it's downright heartless.

I would say I'm shocked but the sad thing is I'm not. Looks like she really can't distance herself from her MSI personna- I don't think it's any coincidence that she said these things while speaking with JU. It's like when people lose their accent after moving town, but once they get back with others who speak the same way...well, it comes out stronger than ever.

Anonymous said...

I'm not condoning what any of them said, because I think they are a bunch of morons, it was a stupid insensitive thing to say, but I don't think it was meant maliciously.
What annoys me, is the swearing they do, almost every other word is the f word, when you are around a two year old, who will pick up and copy every thing you say, it's shocking. Can you imagine Bandit turning round and saying to her father, "hi, Daddy, you motherfu*¥#%! "
Also bringing stray cats and letting them sleep in your bed, is that normal? You never know what disease they might have, especially if you have a young child, and a husband, who is apparently allergic to cats, strange woman!

Anonymous said...

I'm not condoning what any of them said, because I think they are a bunch of morons, it was a stupid insensitive thing to say, but I don't think it was meant maliciously.

I have to agree with this.

Like someone else said, I think this blog makes a lot of good points, but this is going a bit too far. It feels a bit like grasping.

Was what Lindsey said insensitive and stupid? Hell, yes. Was she attempting to be cruel? I don't think so.

These idiots give us plenty of reasons to criticize them, but when we start to nitpick, I think it will make others less likely to take us seriously when we complain about the things that really matter (like Frank's abortion joke and Gerard threatening to bash in a woman's face).

Just my 2 cents.

Anonymous said...

Lyndsey Way, piece of advice;
Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you don't have a leg to stand on!

Anonymous said...

I agree about the swearing. Yes, most people do swear sometimes, but it's not every other word. When Bandit goes to school that kind of language is not going to fly. If one of the first word's she learns is "fuck", she's going to have a hard time not saying it when she's in an environment where it's not accepted.

"Making your own rules" is a possibility when you're a grown-up artist, I suppose, but when you're a little kid in 2nd grade? Not so much.

Anonymous said...

Kim,

Most of us have answered the question about donating to Japan before, but yes. I donated early on and since have given at my work and my kids have donated at school, and I'm planning to donate again.

Anonymous said...

This is what I think. When she said "F*** the Tsunami," I believe she meant it like, "we would have toured despite the Tsunami happening". Same with the "Who cares?" comment.

I still think it was a very stupid thing to say, but what do you expect from these people? They've already proved what kind of people they are with their songs.

I don't think they were malicious, just their usual dumb selves.

This blog has blown this way out of proportion and I think you're making yourselves look bad. I mean, to post a picture of the disaster and just part of the conversation is just over-the-top, VV.

Just my opinion.

Anonymous said...

Just because she didn't mean it to be hurtful doesn't mean that it wasn't a truly thoughtless thing to say, in any context. I think someone already said that if she were a bigger celeb, they would be torn apart for it.

For the comments about swearing, I think Gerard would most likely think it was pretty cool for his young daughter to be spouting off.

Anonymous said...

4:26, I was wondering how long it would take the Excuse Trolls to make it in here.

Why is it every time someone has a different opinion, someone calls them a troll?

I don't see 4:26 as trolling, but just stating a differing opinion. I thought that was allowed here.

While I think Lindsey's comment was idiotic, I listened to the recording, and it's obvious that she was saying "If you were a wizard and I was a unicorn we'd tour Japan despite the tsunami."

Anonymous said...

I take your point 4:11 and for the most part I agree with you, but even if she had just said 'we'd tour Japan despite the tsunami' that's still an offensive thing to say.

That said, I think VV should post the context of the comment in the original post- it doesn't make what lynz said any less appalling, and it stops people being able to say it's been sensationalised or taken out of context.

Anonymous said...

She should have said exactly that though instead of trying to a ~punk rawk~ spin on it. It does come off in bad taste.

Anonymous said...

It would have been wiser just not to even try to joke about such a sensitive subject to begin with.

Anonymous said...

The "who cares" is what's questionable. I think Jimmy and Chantal were doing damage control after that. She just didn't think at all about what she was saying.

Anonymous said...

"Fuck the tsunami. Who cares?"

Actual quote, people.

It is taken completely out of context and posting the image of the tsunami victims directly under the quote is trying to sensationalize it and make Lyndsey look work worse.

There are no two ways around this post.

I agree with others. I don't think Lyndsey meant it in a heartless way.

How can it be considered offensive to want to tour in a country that is suffering? A lot of bands tour countries that have suffered disasters. They do it to help. Even if it's to give people a sense of normalcy and a break from the tragedy.

Anonymous said...

5:05 I agree that the quote should have been posted in it's entirety so that people could come to their own conclusion about how it was 'meant'.

However, having listened to it in full I have to say that it also wasn't meant in the context of really going to tour in Japan in order to help, so that doesn't wash either. I think it was just a sick 'joke' which probably wasn't meant maliciously but still comes off as incredibly insensitive and offensive.

Anonymous said...

I think it was just a sick 'joke' which probably wasn't meant maliciously but still comes off as incredibly insensitive and offensive.

I agree, but I also think that is the point of this post. Verita doesn't imply that Lindsey did this on purpose to be offensive or malicious to the people of Japan; she's simply showing people yet another example of Lindsey's bad attitude, sick sense of humor and offensive behavior. It's thoughtless and stupid, which is classic Lindsey, imo.

Anonymous said...

The joke put alongside the picture 'sensationalizes' nothing. The disaster happened six weeks ago, and is still very fresh in people's minds. Bodies are still missing. Elderly people are still dying in evac shelters from the trauma. The subject, as a 'joke' or otherwise, should have been offbounds in public. Lindsey using it as a gag makes it clear she is clueless and insensitive towards people's suffering. Which is something we all knew about her after 'Panty Shot' anyway...

Anonymous said...

The quote in context:

Lindsey: "If you (Jimmy) were wearing a wizard outfit and I was dressed up as a unicorn, we would probably be, fucking, touring in Japan right now. Fuck the tsunami. Who cares?" *laughter*

Chantal: "You would have stopped that tsunami with your powers."

Jimmy: "Yeah I would've put a hex on that tsunami and then rode off on you."

Lindsey: "We would have fixed it with our magical powers!"

Jimmy: "Made rainbows"

*Chantal laughs*

Doesn't make it any better, does it? It's still sick and insensitive to joke about something like this where so many people died.

This idiot of a woman needs a reality check and maybe a day or two without heat and running water or a flushing toilet. Maybe then a tsunami where thousands of people died wouldn't be so OMG LIEK SO FUNNEY to her.

Anonymous said...

I don't see where VV said she was being malicious, she said she was a classless idiot and that it was not funny, meaning she got that Lindsey was trying to make a joke about it.

Now who's being ridiculous and defensive?

I agree, this isn't funny in any context. How is the tragedy in Japan worthy of her jokes?

Anonymous said...

Nothing is worth her jokes. She's a privileged first-world idiot, who clearly finds disasters where thousands of non-white people die to be nothing more than fodder for her silly jokes and webchats. If that tsumani had hit Los Angeles and drowned her child, would she be laughing? I very much doubt it. She's sick in the head.

Anonymous said...

I still think VV tried to sensationalize the whole thing with the picture and one quote. She should have put a link up as well.

(BTW, I think LynZ is an idiot)

Anonymous said...

^ A link of the entire conversation.

Anonymous said...

No, the picture paints the facts of the disaster, which it was wrong of Lindsey to speak that way about. VV quoted Lindsey word-perfect and posted a picture of the disaster to illustrate how gross the joke was. Is the picture photoshopped? No. Did VV twist Lindsey's words? No. Lindsey needs to own this one.

Anonymous said...

The media would do something similar to get a reaction. VV has done no different IMO.

Anonymous said...

Sometimes people need to see the hard truth of the topic at hand. In this case VV has done nothing but show the truth of the situation for those people in Japan who Lindsey sees fit to mock.

I'm sure VV could have dug up some nice photos of the bloated corpses they're still pulling from the mud over there, but she didn't. Maybe Lindsey could use a look at those, though. That might make sure she thinks and has some compassion before the next time she opens her mouth.

Anonymous said...

I think you're the sick one 6:24. Lyndsey wasn't making jokes about the victims of the tsunami or talking about somebody elses child drowning and laughing about it.

You're comment was sick.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Excuse me? Who was the one laughing about the tsunami and saying it 'didn't matter?'. My point was, it may not matter to her, but it matters to everyone else. Maybe it would take something similar happening to her for her to see why making a joke like that was so very wrong. You don't have to directly mock the victims to be an insensitive, offensive douchebag.

Anonymous said...

And I am not 'laughing' about Bandit drowning, if that's how you've taken my comment. Far from it. The deaths of children in this disaster and others like it should not be used for humour. I was not using them for humour. Lindsey, however, indirectly was.

Anonymous said...

If that tsumani had hit Los Angeles and drowned her child, would she be laughing?

It's called a rhetorical question. It makes you put things into perspective and attempts to bring some empathy into the situation. Seeing as Lindsey only cares about herself, this was a good example of why what she said was fucked up, because it draws it in terms she will understand.

Stop defending her.

Anonymous said...

Lyndsey wasn't making jokes about the victims of the tsunami or talking about somebody elses child drowning and laughing about it.

"Fuck the tsunami. Who cares?" comes very close. She is trivialising and mocking the disaster.

Anonymous said...

It's a shame that Lindsey has so much (of Gerard's) money to throw around, yet she can't buy a herself a soul.

Anonymous said...

Stop defending her.

People have the right to interpret Lindsey's comments differently than you do, and they have the right to express those opinions here, so long as they aren't being abusive.

I don't think you have the right to tell people what they can and can't say here.

Anonymous said...

I'd like to hear why what she said is acceptable, please.

Anonymous said...

Thing is, I haven't seen a single person "defending" Lindsey. Many have said they think Lindsey's comments were misinterpreted or taken out of context. Yes, what she said was idiotic and insensitive, but I don't think she was making light of the situation in Japan.

Anonymous said...

What she said wasn't acceptable, but, I also think it wasn't intended in a malicious way. I wasn't defending her but I do think it's been blown way out of proportion.

Anonymous said...

"People have the right to interpret Lindsey's comments differently than you do, and they have the right to express those opinions here, so long as they aren't being abusive."

THIS.

Anonymous said...

what she said was idiotic and insensitive

Isn't what VV herself is saying in her post?

What I see are a load of people trying to police and trivialise people's reactions to something offensive by telling them they're 'over reacting' or 'blowing it out of proportion'. Whose reactions are you judging us by? Whose proportions are you measuring us by? Your own? Might want to take a step back and examine your privilege.

Anonymous said...

Whose proportions are you measuring us by? Your own? Might want to take a step back and examine your privilege.

Is it really necessary for you to attack everyone who doesn't agree with you?

Anonymous said...

Exactly. Why do the people on this blog get all bent out of shape when someone disagrees with them? You're only happy when everyone is tearing into MCR, etc.

I'll say it again. What LynZ did was not very clever, but I don't think she was trying to offend anybody. She can only do the best of her knowledge, and I'm afraid her knowledge seems limited at best.

Anonymous said...

You don't have to be 'trying' to offend to offend. You can just be pig ignorant and a nasty person by nature.

Anonymous said...

Is it really necessary for you to attack everyone who doesn't agree with you?

And you are telling people how they can and cannot react, and trivialising their emotions by telling them they're not reacting in the way you would like them too. That tends to get people's backs up.

Anonymous said...

I think LynZ is an extremely dimwitted person who probably thought she was being "funny" and "cool" with her friend Jimmy Dumbass when she said what she said.

I wish she would grow up and start thinking like an adult.

Anonymous said...

I think people are going overboard with this.

it's obvious that she didn't mean it the way you all are interpreting it.

It's funny - these people who don't seem to have a problem with making light of a natural disaster seem to be the ones attacking everyone else. I hadn't seen one person tell another what to think, or scold them for thinking a certain way until these people commented.

Anonymous said...

Why would she when Gerard funds her lifestyle of being a spoiled, edgy, immature brat?

Here.

Anonymous said...

I don't think I'm showing my "privilege" by saying that Lindsey's words are being taken out of context. I'm just trying to be fair.

Anonymous said...

I think you'll find that's a quote of mine reacting to being told how to react by others. It doesn't tell people that they can or can't be offended; it tells people to stop mapping their own reactions onto someone else. As the quotes I've pulled show, it was the people who weren't offended who came in here telling everyone they were overreacting.

I'm sorry you took what I said as me telling you how to react, but it wasn't meant that way at all. I am just frustrated with people telling people their feelings towards this woman and her behavior are not legitimate.

Anonymous said...

Showing your privilege is a term used when people judge others by their own (often first world, white, normative) standards. By telling people they are over reacting, you are displaying privilege. Just like the people who come in here and tell us 'nigga' isn't offensive and we need to calm down. It's not a personal attack: it's to help you better understand your own actions and words when discussing sensitive issues like this with people you don't know.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Lindsey's words have been taken out of context at all. She was using the tragedy in Japan as the grounding for a thoughtless joke. Did she mean to piss people off? Probably not. Did she become an offensive idiot by trying to be ~edgy~ and ~dangerous~ by using something very recent and terrible for cheap laughs? Absolutely.

Anonymous said...

11:59, for once I think this blog has been pretty unfair. I firmly believe the entire conversation should have been put up so people could come to their own conclusions.

I found out about the whole thing in the previous post. Someone left a comment saying she said "F*** the Tsunami". I was pretty outraged when I read that and left an angry comment about it too, but then I heard the entire thing and I changed my mind.

I still thought it was a damn stupid thing to say, but I no longer believed she meant to be offensive.

Anonymous said...

The entire conversation has been posted above in the comments for people to read and make their own minds up about. I personally have a lot of empathy for the people of Japan, and have friends and family friends living there. I can't think of anything worse than exploiting their situation for laughs.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Lindsey should be allowed to speak in public, quite frankly. She opens her mouth and the stupid just comes pouring out. She can't seem to help herself.

Having said that, I also don't think she meant to be offensive, but had I just read the quote in this post without knowing the context, I would have had a different opinion.

I think the post needs to be edited so people can draw their own conclusions as well.

I'm not saying that people have to draw the same conclusion as me. I'm just saying they need all the facts.

Anonymous said...

I think she didn't realise she was being offensive because she is so past the point of being able to look at her words and actions and see how they could hurt and exploit others. She has gotten away with being a gobby offensive idiot for most of her adult life; enabled by MSI and her husband. It's like she just can't think anc act like a normal person anymore.

Anonymous said...

I would agree with a post edit for clarity, however, I don't think that would minimize what she said. It was a disgusting thing to do and she should be ashamed of herself.

Anonymous said...

12:07, the entire conversation should be on the post, not here with the comments. After all, the post is the first thing people will see.

Anonymous said...

She has gotten away with being a gobby offensive idiot for most of her adult life; enabled by MSI and her husband. It's like she just can't think anc act like a normal person anymore.

I agree with this so hard.

I'm one of the people who think she didn't intend to be offensive. I just think she doesn't know how a reasonable person is supposed to act.

Anonymous said...

Agreed. She's lost touch with reality, almost? Very much like Gerard with the #smashedface stuff. They just have no idea how to act outside their little LA bubble if yes people and fake friends. It's quite sad.

Anonymous said...

Poor Bandit didn't exactly hit the jackpot in the intelligence gene pool, did she?

Anonymous said...

Hopefully Bandit will grow up to be a better person than her parents. Someone who doesnt threaten violence on strangers and treat the deaths of thousands of innocent people as joke fodder.

Anonymous said...

Personally, I'm a bit offended by the people who come in here and say, "Get off your high horse and go donate to Japan!"

I mean, EXCUSE ME? What the fuck makes them think we haven't donated to Japan? And if anyone is on a "high horse", it's those people.

Anonymous said...

I'm also offended by the people (not here) who say that people shouldn't donate to Japan because it's already a 'rich country'. That's like saying no one should donate to ANY good causes in their own developed country like cancer charities or homeless charities. It's stupid. Japan may be rich and in a better position to recover than most earthquake-prone countries, but it still has charities at work who will desperately need funding, like mental health groups and save the children. To say Japan is unworthy of donations is just ignorant.

Anonymous said...

I also want to drop this link here, if people who want to donate but don't want to give to the Red Cross (I know they've had some bad press about the use of the donations and admin costs etc):

http://www.2hj.org/index.php/get_involved/donate_money

Second Harvest Japan is a charity working on the ground now to provide for the displaced and homeless people in the affected areas.

"Second Harvest Japan (2HJ) collects food that would otherwise go to waste from food manufacturers, farmers, and individuals, and distributes them to people in need such as children in orphanages, battered women and their children in shelters, and the homeless in Japan."

Anonymous said...

The Japanese Red Cross gave money to help out in the 9/11 disaster, even though America is considered by the rest of the world to be a "rich country". They have probably done the same for disasters in other countries as well. So we need to return the favor.

Anonymous said...

I just think it's incredibly unfortunate that her hiuband spent god knows how long on that project to help Japan and talking about how much they love Japan, and yet when she decides to make a "light" joke, the first theme that pops to her mind is the Tsunami.

Anonymous said...

Do you really think Gerard would be above the very same type of behavior?

The only difference between the two of them is that Gerard was counseled early on in his career to try and appear as if he "cares" about people. If he were the person he tried to convince the world he was back then, he wouldn't have married someone like Lindsey.

Anonymous said...

First of all.. Can we stop attacking each other? Second, regarding the charity thing, I think its sad that Japan is getting better use of money than Haiti. The money being given to Haiti is being misused, so people are reluctant to donate, even though at this stage, hey still need more help than Japan.

I have to take up for the MCRmy and believe me,thats the last thing i thought i would ever do. Dstarpro said it was because Brandyway posted where Franks car was parked, but if you read, Dstarpro was clearly upset because she was not happy because the other girls were in front of her and started in on the young girls cussing them and not being the older wiser person. She even told them she was "press" LOL!

WTF? 54th is a long street, and it's not like anybody knew where to look on 54th. The girl didn't describe it or anything.

Dstarpro is a lunatic. She was angry because she wasn't going to get the barrier because there were a large group of girls camping out in a tent in front of her.

Fucking weirdo.

partywithsatan asks,
@Jessicka do you have a favorite MSI song?

@partywithsatan ??? :( I'm trying to get Lindsey to play me more from her Ipod! I suck. #stuckinthe90s
about 1 hour ago via web

@Jessicka aww no you don't suck that's totally fine :) she's depriving you from all that is good and funny;Someone must have a word with her

PandannaKilljoy Asks,
@Jessicka what is your favorite My Chemical Romance song? (: #talktometuesdayonwednesday

@PandannaKilljoy Don't kill me. I don't really know many MyChem songs. I'm stuck in the 90's. #suckinthe90s

@Jessicka haha I won't kill you. It's alright (: What's your favorite song at the moment then? :D

@PandannaKilljoy My Bloody Valentine "You Made Me Realise" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9qLnmEN7S8

@Jessicka oh wow, I had never heard of that song before. I love checking out new music. :3 thank you for answering my question!

Oh Jess, you're in for a treat!

Maybe braindead-Z doesn't want to play her the songs do she doesn't find out about her racist, 'let's laugh at children being molested' past.

Anonymous said...

11:18 AM

I guess it is weird for friends to play friends their own music? IDK?

Anonymous said...

Maybe braindead-Z doesn't want to play her the songs do she doesn't find out about her racist, 'let's laugh at children being molested' past.

Have fun with that Jessicka. I wonder if you'll be shocked? How cool are your buddies Dim-Z, Jimmy Piss Pants, and Chantell all now?

Anonymous said...

"Fuck the tsunami. Who cares?" is pretty harsh, too.

Alone, Sure. But it was taken out of context.

Anonymous said...

I got the feeling she was trying to avoid answering that question directly. I mean, how hard can it be fore her to download MSI stuff to her own ipod? She's clearly not interested in MSI's music, or MCR's for that matter.

Anonymous said...

I still think VV tried to sensationalize the whole thing with the picture and one quote. She should have put a link up as well.

Sorry VV I think this time your blind hatred for LynZ has clouded your judgement.

She answered the question pretty directly. She likes music from the 1990's. Am I missing something?

Anonymous said...

"Fuck the tsunami. Who cares?" is pretty harsh, too.

You're just taking it out of context. That's also pretty unfair.

Anonymous said...

Please, how is that acceptable in any context? She was making light of a massive disaster and thousands of deaths.

Anonymous said...

Sorry VV I think this time your blind hatred for LynZ has clouded your judgement.

I sadly have to agree with this statement. I believe LynZ is dumb not malicious like the way it is portrayed in VV's orginal post. The photo was over the top.

Anonymous said...

11@37, she was asked whether she has a favorite MSI song. She didn't give a direct answer. All she said was she's trying to get LynZ to play their stuff to her-off LynZ's ipod.

Anonymous said...

Please, how is that acceptable in any context? She was making light of a massive disaster and thousands of deaths.

She's not when you read it IN CONTEXT.
I'm no Lynz Way fan but I believe this time VV is wrong.

Anonymous said...

malicious like the way it is portrayed in VV's orginal post.

Where does VV say this?

Anonymous said...

11:39 AM
She put 3 questions marks as to me I don't know? That's what I got at least.

In tomorrow's Kerrang! magazine (on sale Wednesday, April 27) 30 Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto gives us an exclusive update on what's in store for the LA rock titans.

The interview Leto reveals that there might not be another 30 Seconds To Mars album!

11:39, I disagree with you. As far as I can tell, she was joking with Jimmy Urine about doing how they would have done a tour in Japan despite the Tsunami. Stupid, I know.

Anonymous said...

11:42 AM

Really? who cares? Kapunua?

Anonymous said...

I disagree with you. As far as I can tell, she was joking with Jimmy Urine about doing how they would have done a tour in Japan despite the Tsunami. Stupid, I know.

I also agree with this. Dumb but not down right rotten.

Anonymous said...

11:39 AM

It is a nice way of saying I don't listen to that shit.

Anonymous said...

^ Agreed.

Anonymous said...

11:41, pretty much the entire post tries to portray what was said in a malicious light. First, there's the title itself, "Words of Compassion from LynZ Way". Sarcasm, perhaps? Then there's a single quote, taken entirely out of context, and lastly there's the picture-put there to make maximum impact I guess.

I think it's very unfair that VV handled it like this.

Anonymous said...

Please, how is that acceptable in any context? She was making light of a massive disaster and thousands of deaths.

No she wasn't. That's clear to any reasonable person when you hear the conversation in its entirety.

What she said was no more malicious than saying Fuck this cancer. Who cares what anybody says. I'm going to beat this.

Or saying Fuck that earthquake. Who cares? It won't stop us from rebuilding our lives and homes.

The hatred here for Lyndsey is more obvious than ever.

Anonymous said...

You're forgetting the 'who cares?' tagged onto the end.

Anonymous said...

I really think the post should be edited. I've been saying it for ages now.

Anonymous said...

If Lindsey doesn't want to be hated she should stop saying dumb and offensive shit.

Anonymous said...

Oh please. Lindsey's words were not words of support for the people of Japan. They were not anything like 'Fuck cancer, I'm going to beat this'. She was being a silly child and trying to be edgy by trivialising what's happened in that country. We'd still be touring, 'fuck the tsunami, who cares?'. Insensitive and gross.

Anonymous said...

The who cares is there 11:55.

The difference is Lyndsey didn't elaborate like I did.

Anonymous said...

Lindsey: "We would have fixed it with our magical powers!"

She also said this (but VV has not put this up) I find it hard to believe LynZ intended to be hurtful or be malicious.

They were joking around. It was incredibly stupid, but I don't think they wanted to offend anyone.

Anonymous said...

This is the woman who mocks pedophilia victims. Let me remind people of that. Of course she was being thoughtless, offensive because it's default to her, and stupid because that's her style.

Anonymous said...

You don't have to want to offend or intentionally try to be malicious in order to say something really fucking gross. Lindsey crossed a line speaking about Japan and the disaster so lightly at all.

Anonymous said...

It depends on the person then. Some people found what she said offensive, some didn't. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Anonymous said...

Trying to pretend she meant this as a statement of support is gross.

Anonymous said...

11:59
Lynz said that after Chantal tried to steer it in that direction. I think she realized the laughing wasn't going to go over so well.

Anonymous said...

I very much got the impression that Jimmy and Chantal were trying to sway the 'joke' in that direction, too. They seemed a little stunned she'd actually said it.

Anonymous said...

Is so difficult to find people who aren't hypocrites. One of the reasons I like BJA so much. He has one set of standards for everyone. Regardless of their sex, political affiliation, race or religion.

I think this post reeks of the hypocrisy some of you accuse GW, MCR and JA of.

Anonymous said...

Really? How so? Because Lindsey said some fucked-up shit about 25,000 dead people and we do that too?

Anonymous said...

Because if anyone else had said what Lyndsey did it wouldn't have been taken completely out of context and used with such malice towards them.

Gilbert Gottfried didn't get this much hate and criticism for his horribly insensitive tweets. Neither did some hip hop and rap artists.

Where's the post and comments about their words of compassion? Not here because this is and always was an
I hate Gerard Way and everyone who associates with him blog.

Anonymous said...

This blog has always been centered around MCR. Nobody ever said it was ONTD. Hence the header "Three cheers you fooled them all", courtesy of Bert but you understood the reference he was going for, right?

Anonymous said...

Here's what I think. Lynz is not a smart person nor is she a front person. She is the bassist for a reason. She often sticks her foot in her mouth. I think the quote was taken out of contex, adding that photo was a bit of dirty pool on VV's part.

In my opinion, I think she just doesn't "get it". With that said the quotes does read differently in contex.

Anonymous said...

I think it's very unfair that VV handled it like this.

/\

agreed

Anonymous said...

"Gilbert Gottfried didn't get this much hate and criticism for his horribly insensitive tweets."

Actually, he did. He lost his job over his Japan "jokes" which he probably didn't mean "maliciously" either.

Anonymous said...

I think this post reeks of the hypocrisy some of you accuse GW, MCR and JA of.

/\

Also agree, I don't think these people will ever be anything but "evil" in this blogs eyes.

Anonymous said...

Wah wah, Lindsey got called out on her idiocy again. Poor her.

Anonymous said...

3:51 PM

Apples and oranges. Gilbert Gottfried is a known offensive stand-up comedian, best known for his trademark comedic voice and pushing people's buttons.

LynZ is a bassist in an unknown band. I seriously doubt it was her intention to be offensive and malicious. What would she have to gain. Everybody here talks about how the Ways and company are manipulators, what's her angel?

Anonymous said...

3:56 PM

No angel, just not very smart.

I agree VV the photo was really over the top. It reeks of sensationalized manipulation. Not all of us are that blind.

Anonymous said...

Two Lindsey defenders spelling "angle" as "angel" within minutes of each other.

Right.

Anonymous said...

4:20 PM

No, I was answering. She's no angel! Not the same person. Sorry!

I was repeating the typo. We don't have to be "LynZ lovers" to not agree.

That's like saying everybody here are LynZ haters?

Anonymous said...

Not everybody here hates Lindsey. I don't. I don't even hate Gerard or Frank. I just hate the stupid things they do so I don't support their stupid band anymore.

Never did support MSI. They were never on my radar before Gerard's marriage and not on my radar now.

kapunua said...

I am so appalled at how stupid and insensitive these people are. All of them, oh my god. She needs to put a sock in it, seriously. As for JU, if he'd only go eat a sac of turds, maybe he'd keep quiet for a while.

Jesus, these idiots. How stupid can people be?

kapunua said...

Actually, people like them make me wish that stupidity was painful.

Celestial Navigation said...

Seriously. The people who make excuses for Gerard and blame everything that's gone wrong with the band on Lindsey are the worst sort.

Gerard wouldn't have hooked up with Lindsey and MSI if he weren't made of the same stupid stuff that they are. Nobody changes that much for a partner.

Most of us came to the conclusion long ago that the "old Gerard" was the brainchild of a marketing strategy designed to suck in vulnerable young girls -- the very girls that Gerard would call "cunt" and whose faces he would smash for 6 bucks and a Dr. Pepper.

Apparently it is.

Anonymous said...

Oh Chantal. Your grudge is showing. Kate Middleton's had a job and been working for ten years while waiting to be married. Shut the fuck up about things you know nothing about.

Anonymous said...

Chantal's just bitter because she married a walking STD like JU.

Anonymous said...

Don't pay attention to what that woman tweets.

I think Kate is wonderful and excellent for William. She appears intelligent, sensible and level-headed with a good sense of humor.

Ideal for someone born in such a position of privilege.

I have the impression the princess thing won't go to her head.

Anonymous said...

I also liked her dress, simple and elegant.

Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen did a good job. Reminds me of what Grace Kelly wore.

Anonymous said...

Kate is changing the way the people view a "princess". Women have come a long way since the days when Diana was selected for, above everything else, the fact that she was a virgin.

Look how well that worked out, eh?

Anonymous said...

Wow, way to work your girl on girl hate there, Chantal. What would Jessicka think?

Anonymous said...

Kate is William's equal in intellect. They are both graduates from the same university.

I would say the traditional concept of "princess" is now defunct.

Anonymous said...

What the fuck does Chantal think her friend Lindsey did for the idea of not waiting around for a man so you can give up work?

Anonymous said...

I would say the traditional concept of "princess" is now defunct.

Exactly.

And who the fuck is Chantal that she thinks she can criticize the Royal family? She's not even British.

Anonymous said...

Lindsey's plan: #getajobuntilyoucansnareaman #thenlethimfinanceyour'art'career

Anonymous said...

Seems to me someone doesn't mind doing the "financing", so to speak.

Anonymous said...

He doesn't mind paying for Lindsey's lifestyle because he wants to display her to the fanbase as a better trophy than Eliza was.

Anonymous said...

How sad to be considered a "trophy".

Anonymous said...

If you look at the way he brags about her and her 'career' to anyone from the press who will listen, it's clear he sees her that way. He wanted to prove to the world that he could pull more than creeper suicical stalkers for girlfriends. Plus, he was shit-scared to go home alone after they finished touring.

Anonymous said...

I think it's pointless discussing why someone chose to marry someone years ago.

Not being one that is impressed with their characters, I do however think it is their lives, their decisions etc.

They are free like anyone one else to make their own choices in life.

Anonymous said...

chantalclaret Great now every dumb bitch is gonna have that stupid princess fantasy again. #getajob #earnityourself

Clearly Chantal doesn't know a thing about Kate Middleton. First off, Kate is the first Princess to have a degree. Secondly, she didn't sit around-she actually had a job.

I like Kate as well. She oozes class and elegance-unlike the trashy Chantal and her equally trashy friends.

Anonymous said...

Apparently the first words Williams whispered to Kate after she joined him at the alter were, you look stunning babe .

That's so damn cute!

Anonymous said...

And who the fuck is Chantal that she thinks she can criticize the Royal family? She's not even British.

Who the fuck do you think you are to criticize MCR, MSI and JU? You're not even in a band or married to a musician.
