Oh my God, I had a whole post typed out and Blogger crashed and deleted it without saving a draft.
I forgot most of what I wrote so I have to start over.
I notice some of you talking about Laura Slessinger and her use of the N- Bomb recently. I saw some of the fall-out from that in the news too. And it made me think about what gets said to a lot of you sometimes.
We see a lot of MSICR fans saying that MSICR have the first amendment right to use whatever language they want and we have no right to stop them. I think once even Lyn-Z made a comment about "Thank God for the first amendment" when talking about her band's lyrics.
But I have always thought, no one is TRYING to take away their right to use hate speech. We have the right to our opinion too when it comes to lyrics that are racist, homophobic and misogynist.
This article about Laura Slessinger and the first amendment said a lot of what needs to be said here too.
These are the parts I wanted to quote.
• The First Amendment protects us from the government, and not from other Americans who disagree with what we have to say. “Congress shall make no law” — the first five words of the First Amendment — say it all: No government body can limit our rights to speak out. In this case, there’s no government action, just public outrage and pressure.
• Boycotts are also protected by the First Amendment. Dr. Laura complains about being “bullied” by those who might pressure her radio affiliates or advertisers, but boycotts are a time-honored use of the First Amendment to address perceived wrongs and have played a role in virtually every social movement in American history.
But the whole article is really good.
MSICR are allowed to use hate speech in their lyrics. MSICR fans are allowed to listen to those lyrics and interpret them any way they want. They can think they are about something else, if they want to. You interpret things however it makes sense to you.
YOU are also allowed to hate those lyrics, take them at face value (which the bands themselves always say), and to boycott them if you want..... forever if that's what you want.
There will always be arguments as long as there are lyrics, tweets, concerts and interviews with that kind of speech. There will be disagreements no matter what. But disagreeing is NOT the same thing as squashing someone else's rights.
I really thought that article said it better than I could have.

I wonder if "mysterious print #6??" will be a squid?
Mmkay. Well the thing is, I run MCR_quotes and I'm pretty sure I never wrote what you said you saw on there.
That doesn't even sound like something I would say. I never say 'imo', for one thing! And I actually think that PR was in no way their best tour! :/ I much preferred their US tour in the smaller venues in 2008.
You can all say what you want about MCR_quotes and MCR, it doesn't affect me. Just don't make shit up! What's the point?
They cant help themselves. They've been making shit up for years.
Wow, there's a twitter for MCR quotes? I wonder how many hours a day that girl spends looking up quotes and posting them on twitter?
And MCR fangirls say we have no lives.
So, Spin released the "25 Fall Album Releases That Matter Most" and guess who wasn't on it?
That's right. MCR. Of course it doesn't have a release date. Or a title. Yet it's supposed to be released in the fall and compete with all these other albums that people are already buzzing about.
I don't understand why they aren't even announcing a tentative release date or title unless they're still just bullshitting everyone and there are still problems with this record.
Does anyone here think it's even going to get released this year?
Wow, there's a twitter for MCR quotes? I wonder how many hours a day that girl spends looking up quotes and posting them on twitter?
Probably as many hours as you guys on here waste obsessing over every thing MCR (and anyone remotely connected to them) has ever said, and criticising every single thing they do?
Probably as many hours as you guys on here waste obsessing over every thing MCR (and anyone remotely connected to them) has ever said, and criticising every single thing they do?
Doubt it. There are a bunch of us. How many people doing the quotes for that twitter? And then you still have time to seek out "haters" and harass them.
Lulz.
Funny how on this blog we talk about the constitutionality of Mosques being built at Ground Zero, women who have been maimed in Afghanistan, Lady Gaga, countless movies... and that's just been in the last couple of days.
Yet according to fangirls we spend "every moment" obsessing over MCR.
I bet most of those very same fangirls don't even know anything about any of those other subjects. Otherwise they wouldn't have the time to trawl the internet looking for things about the band to "refute".
I know! Maybe you guys should make another protest!
You can print off copies of this blog and burn it! Yeah. And you can put a picture of somebody who is supposed to represent Verita and throw darts at it!
No wait! I have a better idea. You can build an effigy that is supposed to represent all of the MCR haters in the world, call it Verita and throw it in a gigantic bonfire all the while chanting, "Down with the V's!"
I bet those Anonymous guys would just love to come take your video again.
I think you guys should write Marilyn Manson some really nasty letters. After all, he's said way worse things about Gerard than we ever did.
They cant help themselves. They've been making shit up for years.
Oh you must be talking about the guys from MCR. Yes, they have been telling their fans lies for years now.
Did you hear the current Miss USA is against the mosque being built near ground zero? She a muslim.
She's created even more of stir in muslim communities because of that bikini she'll be wearing in the Miss Universe pagent.
Did you hear the current Miss USA is against the mosque being built near ground zero? She a muslim.
I had not heard that, but it doesn't surprise me. Most Miss USA (and other popular beauty contest) winners and contestants know that it's in their best interests to go along with popular opinion and most Americans do not approve of the mosque being built near the 9/11 site.
While I can understand why people feel the way they do, I still have to acknowledge that our Constitution gives the Islamic Church the right to build it on the proposed site.
I think the best thing would be for both sides to negotiate a compromise -- not involving the government in any way -- but one that would satisfy both parties. Perhaps money could be raised to buy the property and the Muslims in question could find another suitable site a bit farther away.
I wonder if "mysterious print #6??" will be a squid?
Anything would be better than Frank's craptastic photography.
Being the former stripper 101 pole dancing champion hasn't helped her status in the Muslim community.
Let's hope she stays out of Afghanistan. No telling what they would do to a woman who showed that much skin.

She's already received death threats and she's being told she'll never get into heaven 6:02.
She's handled it all very intelligently and gracefully.

We are speaking metaphorically, right. I've never seen anyone "saved" look that ill, obviously fallen back into the demons they have conquered (drugs/alcoholism) years before, and turn that far against their self-proclaimed ideals. Just a small favor, if I ever need saving, somebody stop that version of "Saviour" from trying to help me. I think I'd prefer to die quickly, rather than have it thoughtfully dragged out. Thanks.

What makes them fakes? Women having brunch seems very normal to me?
And as much as I hate MCR Dita & Jessicka aren't groupies. Both are successful independently of Marilyn Manson, whether you like them or not.
Does anybody think it is odd that you can't find Lynz's artwork anywhere?
What makes them fakes? Women having brunch seems very normal to me?
Even fake pretentious people have brunch, and then tweet about it to make sure the people who follow you and more know that you had brunch and with who. It's not like anyone needed to know.
http://twitter.com/FrankIeroQuotes
http://twitter.com/g_daily
i found these two also. does anyone know of any more?
“I’m thinking about going for a Grammy next. I can sing!”
Wow I don't know what's sadder the fact that he actually said that or the fact that some fangirl takes the time to dote on him everyday.
He's never going to sleep with you sweetie.
Honestly I don't think anyone ever will... crazy.
Yeah well Frank's not that hawt himself.

And as much as I hate MCR Dita & Jessicka aren't groupies. Both are successful independently of Marilyn Manson, whether you like them or not.
Ah, but the question is, were they successful before they hooked up with Marilyn Manson?
Someone who is familiar with MSI might know this. I have a question: Did Lynz ever talk about Jessicka or mention her in interviews, prior to her marriage to GW? Seeing she was always prattling on about she saw herself as an influence for other young girls to join a band you would have thought she would have mentioned her good friend Jessicka.
Ah, but the question is, were they successful before they hooked up with Marilyn Manson?
I don't know, but I'm guessing no. Another thing: what's Jessicka doing now apart from schmoozing with her fellow e-grade celebrities and dragging her chicken armed friend along for the ride? I'm under the impression she is being supported by her husband who I believe works in the entertainment industry much like her best tatted girly pal.
At least the MCR fans on Twitter-quotes are spreading happy thoughts. Not like you sour bitches on here.
You're not even content with slagging off a Singer and his wife, you have to bring down the fans who are doing you no harm whatsoever.
Jeez, you are the saddo's in this story, sad and bitter.
p.s. before you all trott out the usual diatribe about "if you don't like what we say don't come here" - I am free to roam all of the MCR sites; fans/rumors/haters - whether you like it or not its ALL a part of the MCR internet community. You aren't special, you aren't difficult to find.
Its a small world around this Band, and you're in it despite all trying to insist you're not!
I think they should be spreading happy thoughts to more deserving bands.
That's nice 6:06. Have a great day!
Good point 6:10!
Both are successful independently of Marilyn Manson, whether you like them or not.
Dita is known for her strip/burlesque show, but how is Jessicka independent and successful? I only became aware of her when someone mentioned her on this blog and it doesn't appear she is really involved in anything apart from the art show with Lindsey.
You're not even content with slagging off a Singer and his wife, you have to bring down the fans who are doing you no harm whatsoever.
Jeez, you are the saddo's in this story, sad and bitter.
You don't see us go to fansites and bring fans down.We state out opinions here and fans come HERE and call us sad and bitter. Get your story straight before you say "fans are doing no harm whatsoever".
At least the MCR fans on Twitter-quotes are spreading happy thoughts. Not like you sour bitches on here.
You're not even content with slagging off a Singer and his wife, you have to bring down the fans who are doing you no harm whatsoever.
Lol. We really stick in your craw, don't we? Poor little MCR-lovin' Babies. CRY MOAR.
I cannot get over the ridiculousness of people trolling and harassing people on a blog that they created in order to come together with their similar ideas and thoughts, just because those trolling and harassing people cannot get a grip on the idea that someone could actually not like something they like. oh my god, seriously, go find your happy place and stay there. the people here are perfectly content and happy to discuss the various things they are discussing and being very smart in doing so by NOT discussing it on one of your blinded and brainwashed message boards. YOU look like a fool everytime you come here and post. You look like you have nothing better to do and that you are nothing but a puppet to a band that couldn't care less about what you have to say or whether or not you even exist other than to buy their music and paraphernalia. How utterly irritating.
Jessicka was the frontwoman of Jack Off Jill. I don't think they've done anything for a while, but were a pretty big band in their scene at the time. I never had much interest in them personally. I was more of a My Ruin. Speaking of Tarrie B, now THERE'S a proper female role model in the rock scene. Lindsay couldn't be that good if she tried.
At least the MCR fans on Twitter-quotes are spreading happy thoughts. Not like you sour bitches on here.
Okay, then who is it that keeps putting links to this blog up on MCR fansites? It's not us, so it must be you "happy thought" spreading fangirls.
Honestly, MCR fans can really be thick sometimes. Just like with the Daily Mail Protest. Yes, the Daily Mail said some bad things about your beloved Saviour Band. But let me ask you this?
Who turned a little article that not a whole lot of people really cared that much about into such a big deal? The fans with their stupid protest, that's who.
Now you come here and bitch us out, all the while spreading our link (and our anti-MCR message) far and wide.
Like somebody said earlier, MCR's fans are the main reason a lot of people hate MCR. Not only are they fascists, they're stupid fascists.
I think you'll find that MSICR are the ones 'spreading hate' by using words like fag, nigger, cunt, bitch, (I could go on, but you get the point I'm sure). So go cry somewhere else about how mean we are. Because honey, we may be harsh sometimes, but we got nothing on them.
re:August 24, 2010 9:39 AM
re:August 24, 2010 5:35 AM
Jessicka is the front person for both Jack Off Jill and Scarling. Whether you know of them or like them, both bands have done well in certain underground circles. To say she is supported by her husband is honestly just "hearsay". The amount of revenue in digital rights alone from those two bands if you played your cards right could equal a decent yearly salary. Never mind publishing and other mechanical payments via ASCAP or BMG?
She's also a cowriter on several songs along with her partner Samantha Maloney.
I'm not really sure why anybody here would have an issue with her here besides the fact that she is a friend to Lynz Way?
I just saw a piece of Jessicka's art, it is not half bad. At least she's doing something. She's not just riding coattails and doing nothing with her life.
9:39 AM
Role model? Tairrie B is a big idiot. Perhaps even more so then Lynz Way herself?
On the subject of Jessicka. Just to set the record straight.
Jeordie White (aka Twiggy) got into Marilyn Manson because of Jessicka. Jack Off Jill had been playing and touring with Manson for years prior to Twiggy joining the band.
She met Manson in 1991, Twiggy Joined in 1994-5?
http://www.mansonwiki.com/wiki/Twiggy_Ramirez
http://www.mansonwiki.com/wiki/Jessicka
Please elaborate, 10:58.
I have no problem with Jessicka. I have a problem with her lazy racist, rape-supporting friend.
11:10 AM
I agree. Jessicka seems pretty solid to me. Maybe she'll figure out Lynz's game eventually.
The thing is, I don't think even Lyn-Z knows what Lyn-Z's game is. She's another dumb white girl without a brain who 'wanted to be in a band' and married herself off so she wouldn't have to spend her later years working in a record store.
11:07
Don't get me started on Tairrie B. She speaks about women's rights yet she feuds with some many women, including Aimee Echo & Jessicka whom at one time she claimed were her "girls" She is a walking contradiction. She'll say one thing and claim she meant another just months later. She is not a feminist. Like Lynz she spouts feminist roderick without having the slightest idea of what any of it truly means. Feminism for dumb asses, I guess? And though her roots are in the rap community she insists on making unlistenable idiot metal with lyrics that my 7 year old daughter could have penned on one her less focused days. Shall I go on?

Ugh, rhetoric. Stupid spell check. You know what I meant. LOL!
9:39 AM
If Grrl music is your thing check out- Jack Off Jill, Bikini Kill, Slant 6, Babes In Toyland, Bratmoblie, Tream Dresch, The Butchies, Hazel, Lois, Mary Lou Lord, The Go Team, Phranc, 7 year bitch, Thestart, Von Iva, uh huh Her.
My Ruin is a bit of a joke.
You left L7 and the Lunachicks off that list, so you fail at life.
11:39 AM
Hey! I was just typing a new list with those bands added. I realized I left some really great ones out.
ah *hem*
L7, Lunachicks (music is so so but they put on a great show), Belly, Huggy Bear, Le Tigre, Cake Like,The slits, Sleater -Kinney, the breeders,
Jessicka can't sing, anyway. And she used to be a huge fucking fatty. Maybe she's snorting coke with the Ways now too, and that's how they all stay in shape.
11:52 AM
here we go with the fat stuff again? :rolls eyes:
"
People say I should shut my mouth. But fuck that, I am woman - hear me motherfuckin' ROAR!"
I'm not really sure why anybody here would have an issue with her here besides the fact that she is a friend to Lynz Way?
You don't question why she would so publicly cart Lynz around? This person who openly advertises herself as a feminist, fighting fat-ism and she associates with a woman who insinuates anyone who criticizes her eats crisps, and not trying to be good in what you do is somehow ok? I'm also thinking is she (JA) trying to resuscitate her career by doing this 'art show' with LW. My question would be: would she be doing this show if she was still plain old Lynz Ballato, and why not with someone else?
3.09 those are some really good points, but i feel that, personally, if she was trying to save her career she'd go for someone with a bigger name. Why not Marylin Manson? His name is a lot bigger than Lyn-Zs is.
She could have had a falling out with MM. Lynz has an advantage MM doesn't: MCR fangirls who will be in the majority at their "art show'. I think that in itself will attract some press. I also think she is trying to help LW get a new image for herself.
If she was doing this show with Lindsey Ballato don't think anyone would be that interest$d.
Since the death of the emos I don't really see what good it does to be associated with Lindsey and her stupid husband.
Since I graduated from high school and went to college, most of the people I know want to completely disassociate themselves from their old high school selves, which included bands like FOB, Panic and MCR. People I know wouldn't have been caught dead at Warped this year and they deny, deny, deny when you ask if they ever liked MCR. The ones who do admit only own up to Bullets.
Maybe in a huge town like LA there's still enough of that scene left to draw a crowd, but MCR would have trouble filling a small hall where I live.
But MCR were never emo. Their fans identified themselves as emos. Not MCR.
Evan Rachel Wood will replace Lynsey at the next brunch. Rose Mcgowan was invited to this one but she turned down the membership invite into the MM exes club. Lynsey was a last minute replacement.
But MCR were never emo. Their fans identified themselves as emos. Not MCR.
Lol. You've been listening to Gerard Way too much.
It doesn't matter what MCR classifies themselves as, it's all about how the media classifies them. Go look MCR up on last.fm. They're classified as emo.
Sorry. Gerard Way can deny emo until he's blue in the face, but unfortunately, for most of the world, MCR is the very face of emo.

August 24, 2010 3:30 PM
I understand the need to move forward, but if you actually LIKED certain music as a teen, I find it kind of pathetic to turn your back on it because you (and all of your friends) associate it with high school. Turning on their message, bad behavior on stage, abandoning their fans and possibly coming out with a halfassed attempt-album would be reason to stop 'claiming to be a fan.' But good music doesn't change. (Unless they re-record it and fuck it all to hell.) So, your reasoning here, despite how you and your friends seem to think this is the mature thing to do, is very much not. And that goes for any band you may have liked. If you didn't like them that much to begin with, this course of action makes sense. Otherwise, it seems rather like something Gerard would do, now. Yikes.
I wasn't talking about myself. I was talking about kids I go to college with.
I liked MCR through Revenge, but I hated TBP ever since it came out.
I don't listen to MCR anymore because I'm sick of the first two records. I won't buy the next one because I think they're a bunch of assholes.
It's a fact of life that different genres go in and out of style. I think MCR is one of those bands who will be a victim of that.
Their music was okay, but it was never really all that great.
I personally can't listen to The Black Parade anymore myself. I liked it when it first came out, but it got old so fast.
It just doesn't hold up to repeated playings like other records I love.
August 24, 2010 3:18 PM
August 24, 2010 3:25 PM
I see your points but she doesn't need Lynz Way or Manson. She has Mark Ryden, basically the art god to pimp her out. I doubt MCR kids buy art? Her work is actually pretty decent so maybe she is just changing careers? Who knows why people do things?
I read Jessicka's twitter from time to time. And I'll admit I bought the Scarling album on Itunes, I like it. She seems ok. Perhaps being friends with Lynz is just poor judgement on her part.
3:09 PM
Supposedly they have been friends for years. The fact is nobody would know because nobody paid attention to Lynz and her "friendships" until she married Gerard? True?
3:09 PM
I have only seen Lynz make one stupid comment about fat-ism. Perhaps Jessicka isn't privy to it? Isn't it in some small online interview?
Eh, who cares, new subject?
http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=52007550732
I have only seen Lynz make one stupid comment about fat-ism.
People generally don't make one off stupid comments about a subject they or their friend feel so vehemently passionate about. It's so easy to dismiss something just because it's 'one comment', when it actually tells you a lot about that person's thinking.
Supposedly they have been friends for years. The fact is nobody would know because nobody paid attention to Lynz and her "friendships" until she married Gerard? True?
And no one would be interested if they weren't pimping it out on the internet. Have you seen any interviews where JA mentioned Lynz of MSI prior to becoming Mrs Way or vice versa? It's strange considering they are seemingly supportive of women entering the rock industry. Now they appear almost like they're going steady.
Perhaps Jessicka isn't privy to it?
So she turns a blind eye to what her friend says or the songs she plays to while she is in her MSI persona?
I have only seen Lynz make one stupid comment about fat-ism.
I guess you missed her "I like, really, really hate 'board kids'. I just really, really hate them. Because they're, like, really, really mean...(person in the background 'and fat!')Yeah! And fat!" video, huh?
You mean this one?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-QxCncefeM

Hmm...I wonder why the original got taken down? And why this person cut out the part where Lindsey says..."and fat!"
12:37 was right on the money.
Hmm...I wonder why the original got taken down? And why this person cut out the part where Lindsey says..."and fat!"
Because this video was made before she became Mrs. Blah Blah. It had to be censored so as not to piss off Mr. Blah Blah's fan base.
It's poor censorship considering we all know what she was saying.
Man she's stupid.
So I'm gathering if you say anything she doesn't like you must be fat ?
So...
Since Lindsey is so anti-girl-on-girl hate, does this mean that she only hates the male board kids?
Because this video was made before she became Mrs. Blah Blah. It had to be censored so as not to piss off Mr. Blah Blah's fan base.
Funny, because Mr Blah Blah and his band did it all by themselves, though she helped.
So I'm gathering if you say anything she doesn't like you must be fat ?
I think it's more that if you criticize her that makes you a mean, fat crisp eater.
Oh wait. I meant a really, really mean fat, crisp eater. Because, you know, she has to talk like she's still in 8th grade. It's part of her "feminist role model" image.
Since Lindsey is so anti-girl-on-girl hate, does this mean that she only hates the male board kids?
Oxymoron?
Oxymoron?
Lol.
I think it's more that if you criticize her that makes you a mean, fat crisp eater.
So if you're in a band you just expect everyone to kiss your ass? Doesn't sound very realistic or very mature to me.
It appears her association with the great paragon of feminism/fatism,[sarcasm] Jessicka Adams didn't change anything and and Gerard Way still has a dingbat for a wife.
Gerard Way still has a dingbat for a wife.
True this. And Lindsey Way has a dingbat for a husband.
He's an ass and she's a dingbat.
4:45 AM
Considering Jessicka's note was written in 2008, before their "public" friendship started. It looks Mrs. Way is "borrowing" Jessicka's stance and persona to see if it fits? "Oh, I'll be a feminist artist who is against racism and fat phobia too?" Lynz Way.
So in others words she's a fake. As if we didn't know that already.
stating the obvious, I guess
He's an ass and she's a dingbat.
And together they are...
ASSBAT.
Coming soon to a theater near you!
Or maybe he'll just make AssBat Academy...another half-hearted comic book aimed at entertaining children and impressing the world with his fake friendships w/ real artists.
Yup, this one will be about a rich boy in a dark, gothic, crime-ridden neighborhood, whose parents are killed, and he grows up with his butler and becomes a superhero with the power of gadgetry.
EXCEPT! The butler has a monocle! Didn't see that one coming, did you! Haha, now that's what I call "original!"
lol we have lives!
Welcome to the Lyn-Z Way Hate Bloggers; round and round in circles they play the same tune over and over again. Yet they claim to be intelligent females with full lives!
hardihahaha
"
Welcome to the Lyn-Z Way Hate Bloggers; round and round in circles they play the same tune over and over again"
Where it's ok to call Lyn-Z, Gerard and their friends assbats, idiots, a bunch of fakes for
I dunno
having brunch and eating with friends
and say they look years older than their age.
As long as you don't insult their physical appearances in other ways or call them fatties. That would be morally wrong. Assaulting their characters and insulting them in other ways is okey dokey.
Hell hath no fury like a fangirl scorned. The betrayal. OMG!911!!!!!111 the betrayelll!
Welcome to the Lyn-Z Way Hate Bloggers; round and round in circles they play the same tune over and over again"
And it bothers you so bad, doesn't it? Seriously, I bet you lose sleep over it at night. I bet you lie awake in your bed and plot revenge on those mean girls who say bad things about your idols.
Cuz, we're, like, really mean. You know? And you, like, really, really hate us, don't you?
CRY MOAR.
When I was at Pro Rev (you remember, back when MCR used to actually tour?), there was a guy at my show who just hated MCR. He was right next to me and he was heckling Gerard, telling him to get off the stage and flipping him off and just generally being obnoxious.
I'm not kidding, but there were these two girls there in front of me who were wearing raccoon eye makeup (that was melting in the heat, btw) and Black Parade T-shirts who literally started crying. They were yelling at this guy to shut up and they were sobbing their eyes out (which did nothing to help out the melting makeup situation at all) and only served to egg the heckler on.
I think those are the kinds of people who come here to troll and tell us to get lives. Because their lives are so full, you know? Full of love and compassion for 5 (Oh wait. Make that 4) guys in a band that they cry when people flip them off at shows. So full that they have time to seek us out and read every nasty thing we say so they can cry over it and tell us how wrong we are.
LOL.
Cuz, we're, like, really mean. You know? And you, like, really, really hate us, don't you?
Nah. You give yourselves too much credit. Nobody's that passionate about any of you. We just like to fuck with you intelligent women when we're bored.
Or, yunno, point and laugh at choo when you come up with words like assbats. How original.
Welcome to the Lyn-Z Way Hate Bloggers; round and round in circles they play the same tune over and over again
Lol and you just keep on comin' back to hear it, don't you? We must really be hitting a nerve.
And together they are...
ASSBAT
So mature too.
I thought ASSBAT was funny. But not as funny as a couple of sixteen year old girls crying at a concert with makeup running down their faces because some guy was heckling their hero.
We must really be hitting a nerve.
They're not Self Absorbed at all either.
Everybody is welcome and entitled to their opinion here
as long as you agree with VV and the regs.
But not as funny as a couple of sixteen year old girls crying at a concert with makeup running down their faces because some guy was heckling their hero.
Did that really happen? Because that's the saddest thing I've ever heard. Well, apart from that Daily Mail protest.
MCR fans are hilarious.
If Kapunua or JGL anon are around, I watched Mysterious Skin last night and OH.MY.GOD.
I cried like a baby. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was so amazing! I loved him in Inception, but I thought he was just a fine looking man who rocked the hell out of a suit, but Wow! Has he got acting chops or what?
I'm on the way to see if I can find Brick or 500 Days of Summer.
Thanks for the recs!
I would rather be a sixteen year old girl crying at a concert with makeup running down their face because some guy was heckling their hero than an emotional 12 year old who thinks assbat is funny because one of their dream idols didn't marry them and make dream babies.

Fangirl?

It did. Between the heckler, who was making everyone around us laugh and those two girls it was quite the spectacle. The crowd at my Pro Rev was a Linkin Park crowd, so there weren't a lot of people up front sympathizing with Gerard.
My sister and I still liked MCR at the time, but were there mainly for TBS, but we both came away from Pro Rev thinking Gerard was an asshole with the bases thing and asking people how they liked his jacket and going on about there being a "new sheriff in town", etc. He made a fool out of himself at that show and the fangirls just made it even worse. It made for a good laugh though.

Um...
Talking about his performance here. You know, how when an extremely emotional scene in a movie makes you cry because it's so well-acted and believable?
Or do you not get out to see movies because you're too busy hunting down people who don't like MCR?

I wouldn't waste my breath trying to explain it to this person. They wouldn't understand how a graphic rape scene could make someone cry. They'd probably think it was either funny or "hawt."
They wouldn't understand how a graphic rape scene could make someone cry.
The part with the other kid at the end made me cry too. When he was finally realizing what had happened to him and he told Neil (JGL) that he was tired of dreaming about it and wanted to dream about something else? It was just so sad.
There was a lot to cry about in this movie.
There sure was. I've cried at movies, too. I think lots of people do.
Can honestly say I've never cried at a concert over rock stars though, LOL. Had some good laughs though. :)
Nah. You give yourselves too much credit. Nobody's that passionate about any of you.
Yeah you are. It's why you keep coming back to me. ^_^
I'm on the way to see if I can find Brick or 500 Days of Summer.
BRICK was fantastic! You can see it on Netflix right away actually (I borrow my friend's Netflix. :D )
500 Days was sorta ehhh for me. But the performances were really good though. :)

500 Days was sorta ehhh for me. But the performances were really good though. :)
Thanks! I wasn't expecting it to be available for streaming cuz most of the movies I want aren't. That saves me a trip to the Blockbuster because I didn't want to wait for it to come in the mail. :)
I think I'll watch Brick tonight and put 500 Days in my queue.
Only tell me that nothing bad happens to JGL's character. Please. Like he doesn't get killed fucked up for life or anything? I don't think I could stand it after Mysterious Skin.

I can't tell you that nothing bad happens to Brendon (JGL) in Brick, but nothing on the same level as what happens in Mysterious Skin. Brick has a completely different tone as well, so you don't get as emotionally invested as you do in MS, but it does a great job of engaging your mind.
Kapunua! I loved your ASSBAT. I Lol'd. :D
500 Days was sorta ehhh for me. But the performances were really good though. :)
I felt the same way. As far as romance films go, I liked that 500 Days wasn't the same old, same old, but something was off for me. It's like it was trying too hard to be different maybe?
I found the characters very appealing and overall I enjoyed it, but it wasn't really my cup of tea.
I also finally understood what all those Matthew Gray Gubler fangirls were on about. I don't care for that crime show he's in (I don't like crime shows in general), but I liked Paul.
Oh, and I'm watching Shutter Island again after reading what you said about it in your journal. Probably tonight or tomorrow. You made some really good points and now I feel I have to take another look. :)
Only tell me that nothing bad happens to JGL's character. Please. Like he doesn't get killed fucked up for life or anything?
Like former JGL said, it's not that nothing bad happens, but seriously, I did hit critical mass after Mysterious Skin just like you are. I'll warn you of this: There are some fight scenes. One of them is tremendously AWESOME. However, there's no "Hollywood Healing" in this movie so about an hour in, it starts to get pretty rough.
I felt the same way. During Brick I was like, 'Great movie. However I would love to see something where this kid doesn't get punched in the face."
I thought 500 Days was going to be that movie. It wasn't. ;D
I felt the same way. As far as romance films go, I liked that 500 Days wasn't the same old, same old, but something was off for me. It's like it was trying too hard to be different maybe?
It was different up until the end. I feel like Hollywood tacked that final scene on just so it would be marketable. Up till then, I thought it was a pretty realistic account of How Things Really Go Down. ;)
Re: Shutter Island, I'm reading the novel. It's pretty interesting, they explain a lot more.
Also, because you mentioned Catch Me If You Can, I busted that one out again, too.
And Basketball Diaries. UGH. So difficult.
I looked for Breakfast On Pluto also (Cillian Murphy) and the guy at Blockbuster said, "Oh my god, you're watching films with all the Inception actors! Cool!"
^_^
Enjoy Brick, other anon! Let us know what you think of it. :)
Lindsey played her stunt double!

I wonder how Netflix would feel about that.

Did you notice the words "solely for your personal use"?
Wonder if GW asked himself this when he married the zoid?
When marrying, ask yourself this question: Do you believe that you will be able to converse well with this person into your old age? Everything else in marriage is transitory.

The funny thing is when the zoid made that board kids are really really mean and fat video she was referring to her own MSI fans. Guess they had her pegged all along.
Oh, it's the tell-tale tit. Well old pal, why not write to Netflix and tell them that my friend (whose name you don't know) share an account?
Oh please, by all means, tattle! :) Have fun with that.
Also, 333! ^_^
I wonder how Netflix would feel about that.
lulz
Kids today. Bunch of damn pirates. They have no respect for the creative properties of other people.
It's thievery. Plain and simple.
Not to give the Roid any validation but in terms of fanbase, records sold, band duration and size of venues played Mindless Self Indulgence is triple the size Jack Off Jill ever was.
Before MCR...
If anyone is coat tail riding it's mz Jess. Hate to point out the obvious but its true. Check out the numbers. Not many people gave a shite about MSI but even less about JOJ. Both are an embarrassment, in my humble opinion. lol
They are both from bands that not many people new anything about now given attention because of their connection in one way or another to MCR.

Exactly. It's the same thing as renting a DVD from Blockbuster and then asking a group of friends to come over and watch it with you.
So MCR are now scouting for a 'Ladyboy' to appear in their new promo. They can now tick 'transphobic' off the list of things they're aspiring to be.
Somebody should tell J*.
9:58
Another point. Of course nobody gives a shit about Jack Off Jill. Jack Off Jill have been defunct for over 10 years. I doubt Jessicka cares about getting a fan base for JOJ via Lynz or MCR?
J* makes me vomit a bit in mouth.
dumb fact, but}
Jack Off Jill in the 90's were much bigger then MSI was before Gerard Way and co. took them under their wing.
Every time Jessicka tweets about how much she loves her "ladies" I think of Emily Howard and Florence.
LOL.

You, are an asshole. Instead of insulting kids who have no credible role models at home, that they have to use shallow, drugged out, rock stars as their hero's, why don't you stop mocking their misery and unfortunate situation, get up off your rude ass and become the role model they actually deserve. Cuz, with that attitude, you are noting better, absolutely nothing better, than the pieces of shit that you go on and on about here. You want to be 'better'? Then think, behave and actually BE better. Don't be just another dick without feeling for those around them. Unless you secretly want to become that which you claim to hate? Then, have a nice day, Gerard Anon. :)
I'm sorry, but when a girl goes to a rock show and acts like a complete idiot -- crying because some drunk guy is heckling the singer in a band -- she's going to be made fun of. It's just a fact of life. People at rock shows get drunk. They push. They shove. Some heckle. If you can't deal with it then you should just stay home and listen to your CDs.

Disagree so massively. There is absolutely no reason to act like a dirtbag at a concert. I know "it happens" but that doesn't excuse crappy behavior.
When I was 12 I would have cried over Duran Duran.
yeah sure, some of the people crying (and acting like, WOW, bughouse rat insane freakjobs - you know who I mean,) over MCR are 40+, and there's no excuse for that, either.
But yeah, really disagreeing on the "you're asking for a rotten time if you go to a rock concert" thing. Totally calling BS on that. There's no reason for people to act like animals. I've seen some appalling behavior at rock shows and, ugh. Those are the people who should stay the hell home.
Also, movie anons, tonight I watched "The Lookout."
Meh. I mean worth it for the really, seriously cute hair, but other than that, utterly driven by Idiot Plot.
And if you're still looking for a movie where someone does not beat the christ out of JGL, KEEP MOVING. ;D I mean jesus! This kid always gets his ass kicked.
just noticed that the roid is no longer following that cafe her and jezzie were gonna go to bout couldnt.
they sure are a fair whether bunch arent they?
No great loss for the cafe.

Must be GW's version of You are the sunshine of my life for LynZ.

I just gotta say one more thing about Mayo's. Crap! It's like watching one of your favorite shows and the electricity going out before you get to see how it ended!
"
Mayo's made a new post.
I guess the network picked up "Mayo" for another season. ^_~
And how is that relevant to this blog 5:13?
I refuse to censor anyone who isn't harassing another human being.
Talking about Mayo's is fair game.
Last time I looked it said "verita venom" at the top of this blog. Not "anonymous who doesn't want to talk about certain things".....
July 31, 2010 7:36 PM
Just a friendly reminder for 8:01 :)
Wasn't censoring anyone Lynn, just asked a pertinent question.
This blog was started as a response to Mayo's.
VV's own words.
veritavenom said...
It is true that this blog was a response to Mayo's originally so there's no need for random anonymous people to come here and say "you're a troll if you talk about Mayo's".
How many times do I have to say it, talk about whatever you want, no one can tell you not to.
July 31, 2010 7:36 PM
That's why Mayo's blog is relevant to this blog. Most of the people who originally commented on this blog came from Mayo's.
Just because someone came from there doesn't bear any relevance to the topics that are discussed here, unless they still continue thinking it's some deluded rawksta.
Of course everyone is free to talk about whatever they want here. Frankly, I'm a little disappointed in that Mayo person. I thought she had decided to stop the stupid charade and let the people who believed she was Gerard get back to some semblance of normality. It's sad to see them get pulled back into their fantasy world which can't possibly be doing them any good.
I think Mayo is gutless and cruel.
Kapunua I wanted to ask you if you are intending to read Gibson's new book Zero History . I've already pre-ordered my hardcover and am very excited about it.
"Once you have a way in which things are done, the edge migrates. Goes elsewhere."

I sure am! But then I think it might be part of a series, and if so, I'm a little behind.
Poor Mayo. If he wants to talk about a movie he's at the wrong place. He should have come here.
Where are the movie anons tonight? I would like to watch Mr. Nobody. I've been trying to find a trustworthy download for weeks, but they all look suspicious.
Maybe Kap or JGL or another movie anon knows where to find one?
Pretty please?
Poor silly anon.
Mayo was in the right place to say what he wanted to say.
I don't get it. If you want to talk about Mayo's, doesn't it make sense to talk about him/her there? BTW this is not about censoring anyone.
Okay, lets move on from the VERY BORING subject of Mayo to something far more interesting.
Mayo was in the right place to say what he wanted to say.
Which is usually meaningless mumbo jumbo.
Mayo was in the right place to say what he wanted to say.
Maybe so, but as usual, the lovelies did not get it. They think he was referencing Finding Nemo.
Maybe so, but as usual, the lovelies did not get it. They think he was referencing Finding Nemo.
Who Cares?
Re: Mr. Nobody. You can find it on blinkxx.com.
Oh cool! I have yet to see it. But I might wait for the American release and just buy it. Looks like a good movie to own.
Though honestly I am kind of itching to see it. :)
The young boy who plays Nemo as a teenager is stunning. Of course, since he's supposed to be a younger version of Jared Leto, I suppose he'd have to be. ~_^
I just watched the first half of Mr. Nobody and what a mindfuck. I'm not sure I really even know what's going on. It's kind of like Slaughterhouse 5, Donnie Darko and The Butterfly Effect all rolled up into one. I think it's supposed to be illustrate how even the choices we make can drastically change our lives?
Let me add that I fucking hate megavideo. Why do they always cut the movie you're watching off at the worst possible place to tell you to wait 54 minutes? Why 54 minutes?
GRRRR.
^even the smallest of choices is what I meant to say.
I watched Season 4 of Dexter on Megavideo (don't have cable) and I haaaated that!
What is up with Jared Leto?
Here is this guy who is unbelievably gorgeous. He has some really decent singing pipes and amazing stage presence and he's a very convincing actor. Then there's this whole business of him not aging like the rest of us mere mortals do.
Honestly? I think he made a deal with the devil, has a picture of himself that is aging in his attic, and he bathes in the blood of virgins every night. Either that or he's an alien or a robot with "100% Genuine Plastic" stamped on his butt.
Has anyone seen that pic of Ian Watkins from Lostprophets licking a guys d*ck? I never new he was bi sexual. The pic has been all over twitter and tumblr.
Then there's this whole business of him not aging like the rest of us mere mortals do.
It's the genes, place of birth, and cultural upbringing for the Leto bros. They're both beautiful, talented, and ageless.
Haha, yeah, I actually think Shannon is hotter. ^_^
How things change
OK I found it.
dude just because you met her once doesnt mean you KNOW her. she could just be playing an act to get fans to like her. you dont know who she really is behind closed doors. im not gonna say LynZ is a slut or anything like that cause I USE to look up to her now I regret it. cause when I first met her in Phoenix and she was smoking. (this was before she was preggo) and she ended up blowing smoke in my little brothers fucking face! and my lil bro has asthma. I was so angry I just wanted to slap her and beat her to death. she didnt even apologize even though she saw. She just smirked and walked away. I wanted so damm badly to get my hands on her and fuck her up! but i was to angry to even move or think. My lil brother didnt saying anything after that. I told my mom about it and my mom got in a fight with there securety guard.
i thought she was the sweetest women alive! but after what she did. I wasnt so fucking happy.
http://geerad.buzznet.com/user/journal/3261731/why-hate-lyn-z-ballato/
she could just be playing an act to get fans to like her
Jeez, big shock.
Surprise, surprise, surprise!
Yeah, things do change. There in lies the problem. I wrote that review when I thought "Hey, this band is pretty fucking interesting." But years later I learned different. It's called evolution. Just like you and anyone else, you like something, you look into it, you think it is alright and then suddenly you realize you were blind-sided by something you thought was smarter than it was. It happened to me with a lot of bands, artists, actors, etc...when you start to see their true selves, you see that it isn't what it really seemed to be. That's why I'm such an advocate for being yourself.
I stand by everything I've ever written because it was written in that time and place. And every time and place changes. (unless of course your never leave that time and place, which some people choose not to do). I evolve, the world evolves and our opinions change.
I will never regret anything I've done or said...I've learned about a few things and a few people and learned that sometimes you gotta move on and see the truth for what it really is.
So thanks for posting my old article. It was written even when I thought MCR was something to look up to still...but it was all nearing it's end. Just like all good things.
Be honest, be yourself...make up your own mind. ;) R

Here, for those of you who asked:
Cocaine and Hookers: MSI DVD Release Party 9/11/2007
By Rose Spotts
Mindless Self Indulgence had a release party for their new DVD Our Pain, Your Gain
here in Pittsburgh last night. Why Pittsburgh, I have no idea, but later on in the night Miss Lyn-z was overheard saying she loved being in Pittsburgh, “it’s like a fairytale with all the hills!” She must’ve read some interesting fairytales growing up.
Anyroad, on with the show. Julien K (another Projekt Rev band) opened up for them on this sold out event. They sound much better in a smaller setting. I felt like I was timewarped back to the early 90’s and NIN, Sisters of Mercy and Depeche Mode all puked into the same bucket and out poured Julien K. I’m not trying to be mean, but at one point the lead singer (apparently Julien K are a reincarnation of Orgy – I’m not familiar, I won’t lie) looked at me and sang to me and it was um, creepy. Then he was stripping and rubbing himself and again…creepy. It will take a lot more convincing for me to get into them. Even after that lead singer walked by me on the floor and smelled really good, I’m not buying it.
Onto the evening’s party masters – Mindless Self Indulgence. It took them nearly 50 minutes to come on after Julien K finished and I’m not sure why because their set consisted of a drum kit that looks like a boombox and mike stand with a rubber chicken on it. I’m not sure how much set up that rubber chicken needed, but apparently a lot. So they come out and shower us with silly string (it’s a party, duh!) and Jimmy Urine (wearing a white coat with tails which has the words “Kiss Me $10” stencil sprayed onto the back) politely informs us that this is a dvd release party and our job is to buy the dvd so the band can party. Fair enough. We are immediately thrown into a mind blowing cacophony of electronic Atari sounds, blaring guitar, bass heavy beats and lyrics that would make the Xtian right blush (or not) and this is all quite good. This is not a sound to be reckoned with, nor is the stage show. It’s a mixture of really short songs and their longer ones and it works for the enormous amount of ADD I imagine was in that audience. In between songs like Faggot, Bitches, What Do They Know?and Straight to Video, Jimmy and guitarist Steve Righ? keep a constant interaction with the audience discussing Britney, Mickey Rourke, Supertramp and even revealing Superman’s true identity. The fans are loyal (even if some of them don’t shower much) and its pretty damn fun to watch. The band even more so. Kitty, is the coolest drummer. She’s fun to watch and makes you want to get behind a kit yourself. Lyn-z, bassist never stops moving around to the music, flirting with the audience and stage diving from atop giant amps, she puts on her own sideshow. There were hints of musical theatre and the Little Mermaid and even a little Umbrella-ella-ella, anyone? (You MCR fans will know what that means.) Jimmy takes his pants off at one point and does the rest of the song in his underwear, lucky us. His antics are pure art. Jimmy Urine is what Nick Cave would’ve been in the 80’s had he done crack instead of smack. That’s entertainment! Jimmy banters through the part where they should’ve left and come out for an encore and goes into a story about what the band does while the audience is chanting for their return for an encore. “We go back to the bus and do cocaine and hookers, but then mysteriously the cocaine disappears and the hookers all die of strange diseases and we come back out here and do more songs.” The band sticks around to meet the fans after the show, and revealed honest artists who truly care about their audience (Read that: What happens on stage, stays on stage.) providing them with the right to be silly, creative and to not take life so seriously. Maybe Pittsburgh really was like a punk fairytale, just for one night. If you haven’t seen MSI live, do it.
So thanks for posting my old article. It was written even when I thought MCR was something to look up to still...but it was all nearing it's end. Just like all good things.
Be honest, be yourself...make up your own mind. ;) R
Thanks for sharing Rose. I like the way you don't judge others for having different opinions and "trying" to change their minds.:)
Your welcome. I really don't. I have my opinions and everyone has theirs...I actually love knowing people with varying opinions. It makes life more interesting. I just wish some people didn't have to hate or wish violence on some people. I realize some things are meant to be funny but...for some strange reason i don't think hate and violence are all that hilarious. And I also don't care what my opinions were before, like I said, shit changes...that's what humans do...learn and grow. ah well...what can you do?
R
. I just wish some people didn't have to hate or wish violence on some people.
Same here. I don't think the majority of people here wish any violence on them or hate them personally. Just hate the way that they changed their image. They are free to change, alot of people do, but we don't have to like it.
That is exactly how I feel...we all change...even people we used to like or look up to. And we are free to dislike that change if we want to. God, I mean what is the fucking point to having a voice, freedom of speech and the ability to make up your own mind, you know? Love it when some people just can't handle when you have a different opinion than theirs so they have to start spewing hate. It will never end. They are best forgotten so they don't get the attention they are craving.
R
I just wish some people didn't have to hate or wish violence on some people. I realize some things are meant to be funny but...for some strange reason i don't think hate and violence are all that hilarious.
That about sums up how I feel about MSI / MCR.
Jack Off Jill at the height of their "career" were half as big as MSI pre "MCR marriage." I'm sorry, I'm a stickler for facts.
Inception geek humour :)
That. Is pretty fucking funny.
