I've got some bad news for you sunshine...

"Pink" isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel, but they sent us along as a surrogate band... We're gonna find out where you fans really stand!

You know the rest, sing along LOL.

It's really hard to define this blog sometimes. My investment in MCR is over and has been over for years now. But I like the people on this blog and I like that there is a place for you to come and vent about anything. There is not much to report on a band no one really holds an interest in any more. But some people are just realizing the disappointment.

And for the people who have been here since the beginning, it is still a good place to laugh at people who let you down and turned into, well kind of like the end of "The Wall." The best thing to do is keep laughing.

Another thing I like is all the feminist links, thoughts, rants etc that go on here. Fighting against misogyny is empowering... isn't it?

I guess what I'm saying is this blog has evolved and is not restricted to talking about a washed up bunch of confused, testosterone driven man-children and we can discuss anything we want. Have a link on feminism or civil rights, or just want to rant.... Feel free!

Clearly Mel is ~pure talent~~ and anyone who hates him is just a fat person who doesn't have anything better to do.

Anonymous said...

Who cares about black people, anyway? Get 'em back to working the fields where they belong. And you women shouldn't even have time to be here bitching. Get back in that kitchen and clean that stove.

Anonymous said...

But Mel Gibson's inspired so many people! He's such an artist! He can't be judged by normal standards.

Anonymous said...

Hang on. Mel's ugly. And he's not protected by the 'Gerard Way Connection forcefield'. So it's open season on him. Fire at will, folks!

Note for all the racist defenders on this blog: when someone does something racist and it offends people, the correct response is not to tell people how they should feel, behave, or think. The correct response is not to deflect their argument. When someone does something racist or behaves in a racist manner (for those of you who still don't understand, being white and using the N word 'for lolz' fits into this description), you don't ever tell the people who are offended where they can and can't be offended, or where and how to voice their reaction. This goes for sexism, too btw.

Now piss off back to buzznet and go read a fucking history book while you're at it.

I think these are the people that got booted out of buzznet. Rejects or something like that.

I don't care who they are, or where they're from. They clearly don't understand the concept of how to let other people have opinions about offensive stuff, and seem to get rather wound up by us here 'picking on' their rich white rock stars and their friends without actually thinking, hey, those same rich white rock stars and their friends said some really shitty things about minorities and abuse victims.

Anonymous said...

When none of these things are true, then what?

Then you're still an idiot!

Anonymous said...

Really? If you like MCR you automatically racist? This place has sank to a new low.

Don't you get it it is racism by association???? :rolls eyes:

Anonymous said...

They all crawl on their bloated bellies back to their battle cries, "You are fan girl" "You love Gerard" "You are racists" "You condone child porn" " You are sexist"

When none of these things are true, then what?

Umm, but they are true. Unless you'd like to talk me through step by step why they aren't? If it looks like shit and smells like shit, then it's probably shit. That's true of every idiot using 'edgy' tactics, or selecting minorities and the abused to target and create some kind of 'shock value' in their art. Last time I checked, calling people 'niggers' and laughing about women sticking coat hangers inside their bodies weren't things that required applauding. They need calling out.

If you defend racists, they you are one. Members of MCR and MSI have shown themselves to be racists. If you think that's okay, and that everyone needs to 'get over it', then yeah, you're a big huge racist. Congratulations!

Just in case you needed a lesson.

Transgressive art
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Transgressive art refers to art forms that aim to transgress; i.e. to outrage or violate basic mores and sensibilities. The term transgressive was first used by American filmmaker Nick Zedd and his Cinema of Transgression in 1985. Zedd used it to describe his legacy with underground filmmakers like Paul Morrissey, John Waters, and Kenneth Anger, and the relationship they shared with Zedd and his New York peers in the early '80s.

From a collegiate perspective, many traces of transgression can be found in any art which by some is considered offensive because of its shock value; from the French Salon des Refusés artists to Dada and surrealism. Philosophers Mikhail Bakhtin and Georges Bataille have published works on the nature of transgression. Probably the most thorough book on the early transgressive movement is Deathtripping: The Cinema of Transgression by Jack Sargeant.
Transgressional works share some themes with art that deals with psychological dislocation and mental illness. Examples of this relationship, between social transgression and the exploration of mental states relating to illness, include many of the activities and works of the Dadaists, Surrealists and Fluxus related artists, such as Carolee Schneemann - and, in literature, Albert Camus's L'Etranger or J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye.

Changes in movement
Since the late 1990s a new group of transgressive artists has emerged. In China several artists became well known for producing transgressive art, including Zhu Yu, who achieved notoriety when he published images of himself eating what appeared to be a human fetus, Yang Zhichao for extreme body art, and Peng Yu for eating animals.

Perhaps the most famous transgressive artist of early 1980s, Richard Kern began making films in New York with infamous underground actors Nick Zedd and Lung Leg. Some of them were videos for artists like the Butthole Surfers and Sonic Youth.
Subsequent transgressive artists of the 1990s overlapped the boundaries of literature, art, and music, most notably GG Allin, Lisa Crystal Carver, Costes and Dame Darcy. With these artists came a greater emphasis on life itself (or death) as art, rather than just depicting a certain mindset in film or music. They were instrumental in creating a new type of visionary art and music, and influenced artists like Alec Empire, Cock E.S.P., Crash Worship, Usama Alshaibi, Natural Athlete, Liz Armstrong, Lennie Lee, Johnny Terris, Weasel Walter, Andy Ortmann, and the later work featured in Peter Bagge's Hate.
However, the term can also be applied to transgressive literature as well. Recent examples include Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh, Blood and Guts in High School by Kathy Acker, American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, and J.G. Ballard's short story The Enormous Space. These works dealt with issues that were considered to be outside the social norms. Their characters abused drugs, engaged in violent behaviour or could have been considered sexual deviants.
Among the most notorious works of transgressive art among the general public have been sculpture, collages, and installation art which self-consciously sought to offend Christian religious sensibilities. These include Andres Serrano's Piss Christ, featuring a crucifix in a beaker of urine, and Chris Ofili's The Holy Virgin Mary, a multi-media painting which is partially made of elephant dung.

Yep, that's a very nice way to sidestep the racism charge. So they hide their racism and sexism behind art. Okay, I guess all those uppity black people can get lost, because that's totally okay!

Are you seriously that idiotic?

Anonymous said...

I didn't realize Frank's twitter was an ~art statement. LOL.

Anonymous said...

MSI already said they don't consider their music to have any 'shock' factor. But nice try though.

Anonymous said...

Y'all just understand what it's like to be rich, white and butthurt.

kapunua said...

Then how do you explain the fact that MSI outright says that they're not doing anything "for shock value" and that they're jsut doing what they like, for no real reason?

Besides, two things. 1) Not everyone thinks that "transgression art" is cool, hip, edgy or even worthy. And 2) Art is highly subjective, yet there are usually standards of ability in place. Jimmy Urine isn't a singer, and their bassist admits she can't play, and hops around with an unplugged bass. That hardly fits any standard of basic musical ability.

How many times has racism been hidden behind the guise of something else? Remember when people used to justify it by saying black people were savages who needed 'culturing'?

But who cares. As long as Lindsay has her watercolors re-stocked and Frank can use racial slurs to have a giggle over twitter, then everyone's happy. Carry on.

And now the fangirls unleash their epic defence of racism by......linking redneck lol edgy bullshit with the Surrealist movement? LOL forever. Go back, get your white sheets and masks on and stand outside KFC looking for something to burn until you grow a brain.

I'm choosing to believe everyone trying to whitewash the racism members of MCR and MSI seem to revel in is 12 years old and white. That's the only thing that makes sense right now.

Toni Morrison, motherfuckers. Go read some.

Toni Morrison? Does she know Gerarrrrd? Does she have a twitter?

Yes I believe Toni is doing backing vocals on the new MCR record. Right after she slaps Frank around the face with a wet fish.

Don't say anything bad about Frank cos Kapunua will lose her shit.

Anonymous said...

I was here a few months ago; with the nickname 'Bluemoon'. I said I'd check back.

Upon checking back, I find the same people having the same conversation, still.

Kapunua and Siobhan, you seem intelligent and eloquent, with strong, sensible, humorous thoughts. What the fuck are you doing here? I get that you used to be Team Mayo, and Team MCR - but that was eons ago. Why do you waste your time still bleating on, and on, about someone as insignificant in the world as Lynz Way - she's even less of a blip in the meaning of life than her husband. Neither of them mean anything to you anymore.

I know you're going to say why do I care how you waste your time. You have a point. I don't actually care at all. I just find this whole place a bit dim, and sour. I thought you would have moved on by now.

Out of sheer curiosity - what are you all waiting for?

If the next MCR album is ever released, and is a huge flop, will your hatefilled diatribes be justified? Is this the reward you're all craving?

Anonymous said...

I'm waiting for an apology from Frank, from Lindsay, from anyone else connected to this bad and their fanbase who thinks it's okay to say the things they say. I know it's probably not going to come, but hey, if even one other person stops by here or any of the other fansites where the band/s are called out for their racist and sexist shit and it makes them think about how wrong it is instead of getting all defensive, then that's worth it to me.

Have a nice day and be sure to check back here soon.

Anonymous said...

Really? You're really waiting for an apology from Frank Iero and Lynz Way? Why in the name of sweet Jesus would that make a difference to your life?

Anonymous said...

im confused why is everyone saying they're racist and stuff? what did they do?

Anonymous said...

The fact that you sit here complaing about child molestation and racism makes me laugh.

If you care so much go stop a pedophile.

It's hardly like G Way and MSI go around touching up kids.
Talking about something and doing it are two different things.

Their lyrics shock, thank fuck someone is bringing attention to the matter.

Anonymous said...

When someone acknowledges they've saif hurtful and offensive things, an apology goes some way to helping the offended parties deal with that. But that's to do with empathy, which is something you probably wouldn't understand.

Like I said, I don't expect it to come. But that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion in the mean time. Unless of course you'd like to tell me to shut up and get back to rocking in my chair on a porch.

Anonymous said...

oh don't get them started on MSI lyrics and Frank's tweets

Anonymous said...

Yes talking about things doesn't mean you actually think them! Like Mel Gibson. He's not racist, he's just got a cracking sense of humor.

Anonymous said...

Nah, Frank and MSI just go around calling people 'Niggers'. That's perfectly alright, isn't it?

Anonymous said...

(Bluemoon here)
I do not want to tell you to Shut Up. Nor have I accused you of being a Porchie.

I thought we were having an intelligent conversation about the individual objectives of people who post here with such heartfelt feelings of injustice, caused by people they don't know, in Bands they no longer care about

Anonymous said...

Silly, 1.12. Just because you call someone a nigger doesn't mean you actually think they are one!

Anonymous said...

I don't know Mel Gibson. I don't care about his films. However, I am at perfect liberty to call him a jerk and have an opinion about him. Stop telling people how to feel.

"Don't You Have More Important Issues To Think About?"

When you're beginning to feel backed into a corner, you could do worse than to trot this one out.
As with the best of all these techniques, this step operates on several levels. First of all, it communicates to the Marginalised Person™ that you think the entire debate is trivial and below consideration, indicating you entirely disregard their feelings and emotions. Secondly, you disown responsibility for your part in the debate and anything that you've said that may have been discriminatory or offensive.

Finally, you reinforce your Privilege® by suggesting that it is Privileged People's® job to set the agenda for the Marginalised Group™. After all, how could they possibly know what issues they should prioritise for themselves, they're far too inferior and stupid! You, with your objective, ractional Privileged® perspective, on the other hand, know exactly what is most important and it is definitely not confronting you with your own bigotry and ignorance!

We could play a game of bingo with this site here. I'm calling bluemoon up for this one.

Anonymous said...

Bluemoon, you are derailing. You are the one who can't seem to stick to the topic at hand, which is other people's racism and sexism, and continue to turn the blame around onto the people who are offended.

Anonymous said...

"You're Interrogating From The Wrong Perspective!"

This is a very special tactic but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be freely or liberally used. If anything, it means you should use it as often and as widely as you can.
You see, in this one you get to insult their intelligence and perceptiveness but in a very subtle and underhanded way! This one is very useful in discussions about literature and other media or academia.
The gist of it is this: there's nothing offensive in there, you just don't get it (because you are too stupid)!

For example – you might want to impress your belief that context is irrelevant (there's no racist parallels in a mythological planet where beautiful white elves keep horrible, animalistic orcs as slaves – it's completely detached from earth's history!), or that they're just reading it wrong (well sure, you could take that attitude if you approach it from that perspective, but that's not the perspective it was meant to be read with so your argument is just flawed!).

Once again (and truly a fundamental aspect of derailing) you demonstrate your lack of awareness of their issues but you also get to tell them that they're wrong because you (and all the other Privileged People®) simply know better. Try it out and just wait and see what you get back.

Burn, baby, burn!

OMG this site is amazing. I'm going to link to this every time the MCR/MSI idiots come here bleating about how we're all blind to ~art

Anonymous said...

"You're Just Oversensitive!"

Once again, though very similar to You're Being Overemotional, this one has a slightly different nuance.
What you're implying is that the Marginalised Person™ is looking for offence where none exists.
Once again, you're disowning your own responsibility, and this is absolutely the crux of any derailment – you just can't repeat or reinforce it often enough. No matter what, none of this is your fault – nothing you said that was hurtful, offensive, bigoted or discriminatory is really to blame here, because you said it in all innocence! After all, what reason have you ever had to examine your ingrained prejudices? Why should you start now?

So you want the Marginalised Person™ to know this is how you feel and that you really believe the responsibility is all theirs – if they weren't looking so hard for offence, everything would be a lot more pleasant!

(For you)

If even one of you anonymous pathetic freaks put yourselves out there and actually did something creatively, politically, or even something to help women globally, maybe your opinions would matter. You won't, certainly not publicly because the likelihood you'd be ripped apart for your efforts is just too scary to you. Posting anonymously on a blog about people you can't stand is safer.

The girl effect is a start but none of you have yet to do anything.

Kapunua you read the scale wrong it actually read 30 pounds, but who's counting? Damn, I guess your old MCR shirts won't fit anymore. Oh well, I'm sure you'll be buying new ones soon enough.

So says the stupid hypocrite who comes here anonymously.

They're desperate for anything connected to MCR and right now we're all they've got.

You are all so deficient in judgment, good sense, and intelligence that you are being playing like utter fools. Don't you realize that all the people you are discussing here are entertainers and artists whom need your energy to progress? Negative energy only fuels the fire and propitiates the myth, people.

If the premise of this blog was indeed as you say, "Because you were all concerned or perplexed by one band member's increasingly bizarre behavior." Once you found out you disliked him or his choices, why bother to continue discussing him? "Then it progressed to being about the duplicitous underhanded way a group of people misrepresented themselves to procure wealth and fame." Why bother discussing any of them at all? Haven't you beat this issue to death? Not once has anybody truly answered these questions. Don't you understand by paying these people any attention at all you are basically playing into the hands of the people you despise.

They become polarizing figures. I'd be surprised if some of you don't dream about them as you seem to be that obsessed.

The fact that you sit here complaining about child molestation and racism is sad. There are so many more useful way to combat this issue then complaining on a blog.

I often agree with certain points on this blog but I don't agree with going as far as lumping in "friends" of MCR or MSI into the categories of sexist, racist, child molesters. That is ridiculous. I actually respect people whom have formed friendships with these people and you truly can't say any of those things about them.

For example, Mark Ryden is friends with Lynz and Gerard and he is one on the most prolific artists of our century. He's not racist, sexist, or a child molester.

Friendship cannot erase a lifetime of great work and accomplishment.

You have no idea for sure if this is a fact.

Based on my value system I wouldn't spend the majority of my time with someone who represents a different value system to my own, particularly in regards to issues I feel passionately about. The fact that Lynz has somehow integrated her way in with these people doesn't make me happy but I honestly don't care that much.

These people are all great artists in their own right. They have never said anything publicly sexist, racist, homophobic, or even violent. I refuse to subscribe to to the idea that just because they know or are friendly members of MSI and MCR they are any of the things mentioned above.

This is my opinion. I'd appreciate not being ripped to shreds as I have been respectful in sharing it.

Differences of opinion and likes and dislikes are normal. You will find even amongst people with different taste their value systems are very similar. I can't help but think MCR and MSI see things in the same way.

I don't consider Lynz much of an artist. Do artists usually go around telling people to go suck it or go fuck themselves if they don't appreciate them or their work? Not really.

kapunua said...

that you are being playing like utter fools.

Huh? In English, please?

Don't you realize that all the people you are discussing here are entertainers and artists whom need your energy to progress?

First of all, it's "who," not "whom." I hate it when people think they're going to sound smart by using "whom" and then they use it wrong. Whom is the objective pronoun, fool.

Here's an easy way for dumb people to remember the difference between "who" and "whom." Replace the pronoun with "he" or with "him." If "him" works, use "whom." If "he" works, use "who."

It's like those people who think they're being humorously archaic by using "thee," "thy," thou" etc. and tagging "-eth" on the ends of words when they have no earthly frigging clue what those words even mean.

If you're gonna break the rules, learn them first and do it for a reason. If you're gonna murder the English language, get thee to 4chan.

Second, you must have missed the whole "art might be subjective but there is a standard of quality" conversation, or perhaps you read it and just didn't understand it. That's okay. What it comes down to is that, a 40 year old prancing around like a fool screaming about a child's panties, accompanied by a twit in a miniskirt with an unplugged bass guitar does not = "art." Sorry.

And third, I have always disagreed with the assessment that "there's no such thing as bad press." Have you ever heard of a douche called Mel Gibson?

I do agree that it's pointless to follow their tweets though. I'd rather watch my leg hair grow back.

Anonymous said...

Like most of you I don't like MCR or their music. MSI is not even a blip on my radar. I couldn't care less what Gerard Way is doing, wearing or thinking. But I do follow the tweets of Mark Ryden, Matthew Bone, Joshua Petker, Jessicka Addams, Elizabeth Mcgrath, and Austin Young. This is my opinion. I'd appreciate not being ripped to shreds as I have been respectful in sharing it.

In addition I don't see why their tweet should be dissected and scrutinized when they have said nothing racist, sexist, or homophobic. In fact all of the people mentioned are advocates for gay marriage, feeding the homeless, stopping domestic violence, any fat-phobia, saving the environment, and fair pay in the workplace.

Mark Ryden - transgressive master painter who does charity work for children in distress and is an environmentalist.

Matthew Bone - who happens to be half african american. Paints women of all shapes in sizes. He is against fat-phobia, homophobia, and gender profiling.

Jessicka Addams and Elizabeth Mcgrath - both contributed to the book Girls Against Girls: Why We Are Mean to Each Other and How We Can Change. Both speak out openly about body issues, fat-phobia, violence against women, and have been out spoken feminists since the 90's.

Austin Young. - Photographs strong women, gay men, and transvestites. Huge gay rights advocate and is half of the program Fallen Fruit. Fallen Fruit investigates urban space, ideas of neighborhood and new forms of located citizenship and community. From protests to proposals for new urban green spaces, aiming to reconfigure the relation between those who have resources and those who do not, to examine the nature of & in the city, and to investigate new, shared forms of land use and property. Fallen Fruit is an art collaboration that began with creating maps of public fruit: the fruit trees growing on or over public property in Los Angeles.

This movement has fed many LA homeless and is now beginning to get legs globally.

I am typing all of this because before you judge you should have the facts. These people might know members of MCR and MSI but it doesn't make the same as they are.

According to a study by Depaul University, businesses with a defined commitment to ethical principles perform better financially than businesses that do not.

Another study by Walker Research found that when price and quality are equal, 76 percent of consumers would switch brands or retailers when a company is associated with a good cause. In fact, a recent Cone/ Roper report indicated eight of 10 Americans "have a more positive image of businesses who support a cause they care about." Two-thirds (130 million) said they're more likely to trust businesses that are aligned with social issues.

This can be easily translated to the art world, as they are still in part a business for themselves. Any altruistic ventures make them look good increases public perception, especially when they produce controversial work bound to questioned. They would know this too.

I don't understand If JA is such a strong advocate against girl on girl hate why did she get involved, publicly mind you, in an argument on all places, twitter? It seems ridiculous. This is the response given to dstarpro who got involved with the argument between JA and the "internet brave" Lynz was referring to.

Your friend Jessica is a fucking hypocrite, she is supposed to represent the paragon of maturity & runs very high on her white horse, but she didn't hesitated to make some half witted remark on me before I had any idea who she was. These idiots instigated a fight with me but I wept their faces with their own feces and now they are playing victims

This is pathetic but again not surprising, these broads don't have an ounce of dignity & honesty.

Yes Indeed but Jessika should live what she preaches, why do you think I took on her?, she made a nasty remark about me out of nowhere...All these persons did (the men as well..) but it is not worth going over this issue again.

Would someone please explain the rationale behind this?

Actually she didn't really say anything nasty to that person at all. If you read the whole thread. All she did was tell the girls to pay her no mind. The comment wasn't out of nowhere the person @SnobsandBitches is a really nasty piece of work.

@LaurenWK With a name like snobs & bitches- they must be "legit".

Enough with the girl on girl hate. Don't we have enough problems as a gender without turning on each other?

@dstarpro Just so you know. I do practice what I preach. I'm a long time feminist & pro woman. I choose not to respond to anybody who tries to gain attention by using unprovoked name calling & disparaging language towards young women here on twitter. This is my prerogative. I have been called every name in the book over the years, so their insults towards me did not phase me. The other girls they were attacking are younger then I am so I stepped in - hence: "Practicing what I preach!"

I made one comment about that person's name & legitimacy, as my best friend of 22 years is an actual Los Angeles agent and would never behave in that manner, publicly or otherwise. I did not criticize them in any other way. I called it like I saw it. Then I blocked them as I felt they were in need of attention, (positive or negative) something I personally refuse to give them.

@dstarpro And lastly perhaps somebody who spouts that much hate may want to be a little less sensitive when the tables are turned on them.

@SnobsandBitches was the one causing all the trouble. Then @dstarpro stuck her nose in where it didn't belong it seems.

Read it for yourselves if you wish. I'm not sure why you'd bother though.

"Not if it's not genuinely meant and only used for self image promotion."

Yes, but nobody has evidence of this just speculation.

Just like we can say whatever we want here about MCR or MSI doesn't Jessicka have the same right to say whatever she wants via twitter?

I read it 9:13 and it wasn't exactly the way you have you described it as both of them contributed to the argument. Don't understand why dstarpro intervened.

Did I miss something? It looks like @SnobsandBitches started it calling all those girls names.

She can 9:15. In her own words she should 'practice what she preach'.

I pretty much think she does practice what she preaches.

Anonymous said...

Not really.

Anonymous said...

1:22 Why because she is friends with Lynz Way? We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

Anonymous said...

You'll notice she only responded to @SnobsandBitches to block them. @dstarpro shouldn't have gotten in the middle.

She has deleted the tweets prior to that one.

Her good friend can tweet "go fuck yourselves" for a little girl on girl hate herself, and she doesn't get chastised? Doesn't her message relate to everyone?

Anonymous said...

Seems like a case of "my rules don't pertain to my friends".

Anonymous said...

so does that mean "girl on girl hate" is any slight bit of controversy between females?

Anonymous said...

But didn't she also speak out against "fat-shaming" and didn't LynZ say that anyone who didn't agree with her was "sitting home eating crisps"?

It's called feminism with exemptions for friends or colloquially known as the fourth wave.

She's spoken out about fat shaming, homophobia, and women's rights for years. That doesn't get eclipsed because she is now doing an art show with somebody we dislike.

No, people who know each other can disagree on important topics and still be friends. Perhaps Jessicka will influences the zoid in the right direction?

"so does that mean "girl on girl hate" is any slight bit of controversy between females?"

No really. Woman can disagree it's more about what the book Girls Against Girls: Why We Are Mean to Each Other and How We Can Change covers. It is an accessible text guide for girls who are caught up in the malicious gossiping, jealousy, and social shunning that affect so many adolescents. The author neatly outlines the issues and provides common-sense approaches to breaking the cycle of meanness, envy, and passive-aggressive behaviors, and she addresses both the victims and the mean girls themselves. The balance of narrative, white space, and illustration makes this self-help tool easy to comprehend. The well-researched text is punctuated with quotes from female artists and athletes and also includes a good resource guide to finding empowering organizations."

I guess some people can be friends with others whose values are the opposites of their own. I'm not one of those people.

I know a few folks in martial arts who speak like (toned down) MSI lyrics. I've heard them toss around the N word, even. While they are in my circle of acquaintances, and I see them at social functions here and there, I'd never call them "friends" and they'll never make it into my inner circle. I know how they feel about minorities (off-handed marginalization covered up with "some of my best friends are black") and I know how they feel about women (typical chest-beating "aww but I ain't such a bad guy, I'm just kidding, can't you women take a joke?") and how they feel about homosexuals (your basic MSI lyric.)

I see them around, sure. But I'd never associate myself with them or invite them into my life. It would be wrong for all of us involved.

I guess some people can sit there and laugh along with that kind of chatter, but I can't.

I don't even know who this Jessica Adams person is, but I can tell you in all honesty that, if she's okay hanging around with the racists in MSI and the misogynists in MCR, her standards are lower than mine by miles.
