I've got some bad news for you sunshine...

"Pink" isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel, but they sent us along as a surrogate band... We're gonna find out where you fans really stand!

You know the rest, sing along LOL.

It's really hard to define this blog sometimes. My investment in MCR is over and has been over for years now. But I like the people on this blog and I like that there is a place for you to come and vent about anything. There is not much to report on a band no one really holds an interest in any more. But some people are just realizing the disappointment.

And for the people who have been here since the beginning, it is still a good place to laugh at people who let you down and turned into, well kind of like the end of "The Wall." The best thing to do is keep laughing.

Another thing I like is all the feminist links, thoughts, rants etc that go on here. Fighting against misogyny is empowering... isn't it?

I guess what I'm saying is this blog has evolved and is not restricted to talking about a washed up bunch of confused, testosterone driven man-children and we can discuss anything we want. Have a link on feminism or civil rights, or just want to rant.... Feel free!

"I guess some people can sit there and laugh along with that kind of chatter, but I can't.

I don't even know who this Jessica Adams person is, but I can tell you in all honesty that, if she's okay hanging around with the racists in MSI and the misogynists in MCR, her standards are lower than mine by miles."

I understand. But you are suggesting that Jessicka Addams or Mark Ryden or any of these people are familiar with MCR or MSI lyrics, content, or interviews. I admit being an ex fan and that some of the things brought up here I've never seen or read until people here have bought them to my attention. I don't follow Frank, Gerard or Lynz's tweets. I seriously doubt LynZ or MCR go around using the N word or being homophobic in front of them. That's just my opinion kapunua because I'm not as judgmental as you are, which is neither a good or a bad thing.

kapunua said...

You know, I was going along with you and agreeing that possibly these people don't know what MSI and MCR are like on Twitter, on stage and their lyrics.

And then you had to go and say "but I'm not as judgmental as you are" which turned your argument from logic to attack. I wasn't attacking you.

"That's neither a good or bad thing?" My ass. It's an insult and you know it. Don't be passive aggressive; just be aggressive if that's what you mean.

But it's an insult I'll gladly take. Because yes, I am judgmental of racist, misogynistic, and homophobic morons. I judge them as completely unworthy of my time and space.

What you call "judgmental" I call "standards.

Maybe my standards are just higher than yours. But that's neither a good or bad thing.

Anonymous said...

Ouch. That was a little hostile.

Anonymous said...

kapunua honestly I reread it and saw how it could be read as me attacking you. I wasn't. I think if you heard the inflection it may not have read as nasty.

No need to for either of us to be hostile. We have agreed to disagree?

Anonymous said...

"You know, I was going along with you and agreeing that possibly these people don't know what MSI and MCR are like on Twitter, on stage and their lyrics."

I'm pretty sure that is the case. Mark Ryden is far from racist or sexist.

Anonymous said...

"But it's an insult I'll gladly take. Because yes, I am judgmental of racist, misogynistic, and homophobic morons. I judge them as completely unworthy of my time and space."

I don't feel Jessicka Addams falls into these categories so I do not judge her the same way you do. That's all I was saying.

kapunua said...

On the one hand it would be really nice to think that somehow, every rotten thing that MSI and MCR has said and done, has flown under these "feminist's" radar. It's possible.

I just don't see how that could be. They are typical spoiled rock stars with years of misogyny and racism as their legacy.

Anonymous said...

"On the one hand it would be really nice to think that somehow, every rotten thing that MSI and MCR has said and done, has flown under these "feminist's" radar. It's possible."

because only 15 year olds listen to their music it is very possible.

Anonymous said...

kapunua you are quick to point out that you felt attacked by me but when I say I wasn't trying to attack you, you simply ignore my comment. Not very gracious of you considering it was a decent discussion until that point.

Anonymous said...

"I just don't see how that could be. They are typical spoiled rock stars with years of misogyny and racism as their legacy."

Yes, but who the hell really knows this besides fans and ex fans. I doubt women or men over 30 know or care. They probably think, "oh that person is in a band I've never heard because I'm not 15. They seem nice. They have a cute baby?"

Anonymous said...

This is so boring. Next subject please?

kapunua said...

I think saying "I forgive you" for silly things is patronizing and often it's better to forget it and move on.

But now, I think you're trying to be inflammatory because you just keep picking and picking. "I'm not as judgmental as you" and "you're not gracious."

Goodbye.

kapunua said...

Well I'm not so sure. If I met someone and we were becoming friends and they said "Oh by the way, I 'play' in a 'band'," (those are in quotes for a reason,) I'd say, "Oh cool! What kind of music do you do?" And I'd probably look them up.

I can see them missing MCR's derogatory "make little girls moan for me" and their live act thing, because they only did that a few times. But MSI has a whole catalog of hate behind them. I think if you're getting pally with someone, it would be hard to miss.

Anonymous said...

"But now, I think you're trying to be inflammatory because you just keep picking and picking. "I'm not as judgmental as you" and "you're not gracious."

UGH!

I don't know what your deal is? Maybe you are just used to people picking on you or something. I'm not one of those people. I am in no way trying to start a fight with you. You did not have to say, "I forgive you" I agree, that's silly. But when you are so quick to jump on my comments then when I try to explain myself you ignore me, I found it a little rude.

In my family saying somebody isn't being gracious isn't an insult, it's a way to have somebody see that they may need to be a little more gracious in the future. No big deal.

Anonymous said...

"I think if you're getting pally with someone, it would be hard to miss."

Sure, But honestly I have friend that used to be in a band and I have no idea what they sound like. I'm just too lazy to look them up I guess.

Yes, this is true but Lynz openly admits not writing anything in MSI. She might not even bring them up considering her new art career. Is she even in the band anymore? Are they even a band anymore?

Anonymous said...

kapunua I really have no interest in fighting with you. We are mostly on the same page. If you choose to ignore me from here on out that's fine, but I think we probably have a lot to learn from each other, it would be a real shame.

Get over yourself with your condescending attitude.

No, seriously. We're done. Sorry, but that's three times you acted completely rude without any provocation whatsoever. So don't even try to put it on me.

Anonymous said...

See what I mean? She just proved me right and proved you right. Don't waste your time on her.

This Jessicka Adams person has admitted she has known LW for 6 years. Very hard to believe she would not be aware of MSI and their lyrics in that time though she may not be classed as a listener.

Anonymous said...

NoT really. Woman can disagree it's more about what the book Girls Against Girls: Why We Are Mean to Each Other and How We Can Change covers. It is an accessible text guide for girls who are caught up in the malicious gossiping, jealousy, and social shunning that affect so many adolescents. The author neatly outlines the issues and provides common-sense approaches to breaking the cycle of meanness, envy, and passive-aggressive behaviors, and she addresses both the victims and the mean girls themselves. The balance of narrative, white space, and illustration makes this self-help tool easy to comprehend. The well-researched text is punctuated with quotes from female artists and athletes and also includes a good resource guide to finding empowering organizations."

I'm wondering what evidence you all have to support the fact that anyone in MSI is racist? I haven't heard any other musings to that effect.

Also, this comment "sitting around eating crisps" is more likely a reference to, er, sitting around, than it is sizist. Lin has freely admitted to having had a weight problem herself as a kid, so it's actually impossible for her to be sizist.

Anonymous said...

so it's actually impossible for her to be sizist.

No it's not. Internalized misogyny? Internalized homophobia? Internalized racism?

All those are possible and very real things, so (while I'm not saying she is sizist) it's very possible for someone who's overweight to have some kind of internalized prejudice towards other people who are overweight.

Anonymous said...

WHAT FUCKING RACISM??? I would like to see some concrete "evidence," please, because my kid is the most non-racist person I know (I raised him that way) and even he's been known to to use the "n----a" word that I hate so much and yell at him about, why? Because it's passed into common vernacular, that's why. Do I approve? Hell fucking no, but I don't think that the use of that word automatically makes someone a racist. In fact, I think I owe Jeffree Starr and Eliza Cutz and apology now.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, but you're wrong. Using that word does make you racist. I guess you didn't teach your kid well enough not to use it, and how hateful and insensitive it is.

Just because your kid does it, doesn't make it okay.

Anonymous said...

Also, calm down. Why are you screaming?

Anonymous said...

Oh hello. How am I a "troll" when none of you even have the balls to put your names on anything? It's also laughable to me that I am considered to be the "MCR stalker" in this crew when this blog is going on what, three years straight now of interview and performance dissection and now twitter stalking?

By the way, I totally do hate my own vagina - fucking bitch always chooses to bleed when I have to be in a pit for four hours. Maybe I SHOULD go get the coat hanger.

Oh, by the way, Little Snooki there has been riding the face-punching scenario all the way to superstardom. If Lyn-Z did that, you'd be all over it like she was Satan.

Also, what exactly IS a "fangirl" to you people, anyway? Is it anyone who likes a band and also happens to be in possession of a working vagina, or what? If so, that sort of negates your whole "We are woman, hear us roar" stance you've got going, doesn't it?

Anonymous said...

I did teach my kid correctly and I still correct him when he uses that word, but you're ignorant to insist that everyone is a racist who uses that word - what about people of color who use it in reference to themselves, Genius?

Anonymous said...

I guess parents of children who lie, steal, cheat, use drugs, rape or murder didn't teach their children correctly either.

Or parents of children who grow up to rude, arrogant and judgmental.

Because children obviously have no personalities and minds of their own.

They only do what their parents teach them and are unaffected by what they see in the media or learn from their peers.

Pffft.

Are you sure none of them have ever used a hateful and insensitive word? Would never use one?

Hello Dstarpro. You're a troll because of your faily fucking opinions on things like sexism, racism, and violence against women. You're a stalker because you spend your time sniffing out every bit of valid criticism of said sexism, racism, and violence against women, and trying to defend those things like it'll earn you points with the band.

If you really have no idea why the things Frank has tweeted are disgusting, then you're beyond help, and it's not my job to explain to you why you're opinions are bad. It's your job to figure it out yourself. The way you wade in here laughing it up about backstreet abortions makes it clear to me that you're just as disgusting as Frank is, so bravo there.

Stop victim-blaming Snooki. It makes you look even more like a sexist tool.

A fangirl is someone who tries to defend and justify the awful actions and hurtful words of racists and sexists, just because they're in awe of them as people. Please stop telling people how they can and cannot react. Stop telling people that their only valid course of action is 'going and protesting somewhere'. Here is where we protest. If you don't like it, you're free to leave. If you're going to carry on, please google 'derailing for dummies' and visit the very helpful website to at least spice up your time wasted here.

Unless you're suggesting that Charles Manson, that Van Der Sloot scum, and various rapists and junkies had a stellar upbringing and their parents are to be congratulated on raising such fine specimens of humanity.

What a strange conversation.

She is also the one that stuck her nose in the" girl on girl" hate between Jessica Addams and the others. I bet she was the one coming in here defending Jessica. Why didn't you say that signed in since you say "we don't have the balls" to sign in? She thinks because she stuck her nose into something that was none of her buisness that crap will work here. Sorry but we will go right ahead and say what we want...fangirl.

One of the more sane comments from the self-promoting interview with the L.Way.

I really don't understand what this woman has accomplished so far other than marrying the singer of a rock band and giving birth to his daughter to be that highly adored by people on this page? Is that really all what it takes to become an idol and role model for girls these days? She's not a good bassist and sounds incredibly ineloquent and daft in this 'interview' by using the filler word 'like' in an inflationary manner as it is mainly observed in very young teenagers. How old is again?

Anonymous said...

IMO the only reason she interviewed that idiot was to "sell" her to all his MCR fans. There are far more worthy female musicians who have actually made some contribution to the music industry that she could have interviewed.

Anonymous said...

Seeing that she's now one of her 'pals', you're not going to get anything impartial or objective from any of her interviews.

For you to presume that anyone who listens to a fucking band also wanders about calling people the "n" word an laughing at rape jokes is delusional. Are you on about anyone else's lyrics and tweets, by the way, or just these two?

No, Doll, I don't need to "troll" anything, you called ME out, I was simply responding, and what does my age have to do with anything - how old are YOU, Sweet Pea?

Also, I didn't "stick my nose" into anything with Jessicka. I saw tweets going back and forth, remarked that the argument was insane, and got into it with Jessicka's friends and the other blogger because they responded to my tweet. Jessicka then tweeted me to explain her views. Get your fucking facts straight.

Finally, "In her spare time she also enjoys handwaving racism." I would like you to supply some concrete evidence of this contention, or shut the fuck up.

Yes, I do have a sense of humor and a working comprehension of irony and satire, however, I didn't "victim blame" Snooki, she capitalized, and her producers egged her on. Anyone who felt bad for her is a fucking sucker.

Yep, 12:14 p.m., I did tweet Brian a thank you for attempting to clear up the twitter meltdown in the wake of breakup rumors - wanna explain to me where "I went apeshit" about it, though?

Oh, and 11:21 a.m.: "You're a stalker because you spend your time sniffing out every bit of valid criticism of said sexism, racism, and violence against women, and trying to defend those things like it'll earn you points with the band."

That is a completely contradictory statement, makes no fucking sense, and I'm reasonably certain that the band (sorry to break it to you) couldn't give two shits about this site, so how would me arguing with you earn points?

As far as your questionable determination that "a fangirl is someone who tries to defend and justify the awful actions and hurtful words of racists and sexists, just because they're in awe of them as people." Mehhhh, sorry that answer is incorrect.

I recently came across a blog that was dedicated to "hating" Richard Hammond. For those of you who don't know who he is, it doesn't really matter but he's a presenter on the BBC program Top Gear and he is either much loved or hated by people who watch the show.

When I stumbled on the hate site, I couldn't help but laugh at the silly fangirls who came on that site to defend him. They were making complete fools of themselves over a married man who will never give a damn about them one way or another, and they weren't going to change the opinion of a single person on that blog who hates him. So why bother? The site doesn't hurt him and it doesn't hurt Top Gear. It just gives the people who dislike him a place to express their feelings.

Now don't misunderstand -- I like Richard Hammond. However, I don't begrudge the people who hate him their opinions, nor their right to express them.

Dstarpro, you would do well to just forget this blog exists. You aren't doing anything to change the minds of the people who come here, and by telling them what they should or should not think you are just making yourself (and MCR fans in general) seem silly for taking this place so seriously.

It's a place to vent and it's completely harmless. People are going to hate the things you like and you can't do a damn thing about it. It's high time you learned that.

Sheesh.

Regardless, Snooki did not ask to be punched in the face. It wasn't a stunt and the man who did it was arrested by the Police. Whether or not she benefited from the publicity is completely irrelevant.

Actually, Dstarpro, it was you who came here originally to defend Frank's racism and sexism, and order us to 'go protest somewhere else' (which I see you're doing again under anon at 5:51, nice touch logging out for a second there). So we're perfectly at liberty to 'call you out' when you steam back in being your usual crazy self.

You are handwaving racism right now, because you're placing the blame and fault on the people who are offended, rather than the person who aired the racist views. No one's saying you have to hate Frank or MSI too. Just don't tell other people they can't. Don't you understand that it's not acceptable to turn the problem around onto the victimised? Or did you not give 'derailing for dummies' a good enough browse?

STOP VICTIM-BLAMING SNOOKI. THAT SHIT IS OLD. I don't care how much she benefited from the assault. I don't care if it was because 'she was annoying', or 'the producers made her do it', or her skirt was too short. I DON'T CARE. Nothing makes it acceptable to blame a woman for her own assault. Not on a reality TV show, not at a rape trial, not EVER. Get over your outdated, backward, sexist views because they're as offensive as any of the shit MSI put out.

Now, if you're going to come back here and entertain us with your stupid again, please enlighten us in as to why Frank, Lyn-Z and their pals are allowed to use the N word, or laugh about abortions, and why we're not allowed to get offended by that. And please try some tactics other than, 'What are you doing about these things, huh? Go protest somewhere!' What we do elsewhere is none of your business. MCR and MSI are the issue on this site, that you keep coming back to. Stop sidestepping the reason we're all here with an opinion, and actually explain to me how their racism and sexism is something we can't speak out against.

Mel Gibson is the worst kind of hypocrite. He's despicable.

I think it's despicable for a band to promote themselves as advocates for important social issues when in reality you're only after fame and fortune.

Anonymous said...

How does dstarpro know who we are and what we do with our time? Just because I come here once in a while to complain about MCR's hypocrisy and idiocy doesn't mean that I don't do other things with my life that make a difference.

I've been volunteering as a mentor with young girls from less than privileged backgrounds for nearly 5 years now. I also belong to a women's group that raises money for a scholarship fund for underprivileged yet gifted girls. I'm also a mother and I try very hard to be a positive role model out in the real day-to-day work world.

I don't waste my time protesting. I leave that for fringe groups like the Westboro Baptist Church.

However, I do like to speak my mind against racism and sexism whenever I get the chance. This is one of many places where I do so.

Dstarpro is like all the other fangirls who come here making assumptions about who we are and why we are here. She doesn't have a clue. She needs to stop making a fool of herself and stick to the fansites with all the other MCR worshippers.

We don't infiltrate the fansites, so I don't understand why she doesn't stay away from here.

Off topic I know but...

I recently came across a blog that was dedicated to "hating" Richard Hammond.

Aw, how could anybody hate The Hamster? He's adorable.

Okay, yeah, I can see how he might be perceived as smug and overly zealous and maybe a little annoying. But he's so cute and he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Still, if people want to hate on him, that's their choice. I certainly wouldn't seek out his "hate blog" and try to argue with those who do. I'm sure they made up their minds a long time ago.

Anonymous said...

Oh, by the way, Little Snooki there has been riding the face-punching scenario all the way to superstardom ... she capitalized, and her producers egged her on. Anyone who felt bad for her is a fucking sucker.

Isn't this the very same kind of "girl on girl hate" that our so-called Third Wave feminist idols Lindsey and Jessicka are supposed to be against?

Anonymous said...

You know what they say about MCR fans. They don't have a mind of their own.

Anonymous said...

I actually council young women who've been through, or are thinking of getting an abortion. Frank's tweet made me sick to my stomach. I find it very unlikely he'd still find such jokes funny if say, Jamia suffered in the same way. His words need to be called out, and this site is (as far as I know) the only place online where people don't bury the band's horrible comments or handwave them away. If even one fan comes here, reads the comments, and thinks better of defending those sick jokes, then that's made a difference. Who are you, dstarpro, to tell anyone how and where they should speak out? Just because you think we should do something 'grander' is irrelevant. Plenty of us speak out against racism and sexism, and voilence against women all the time in our daily lives. The internet should be no different.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, long day.

Oh, by the way, Little Snooki there has been riding the face-punching scenario all the way to superstardom ... she capitalized, and her producers egged her on. Anyone who felt bad for her is a fucking sucker.

Congratulations, you're a disgusting human being! I can see now why you like MCR and MSI so much. Right up your street with their jokes about black people and songs about rape victims.

Anonymous said...

Because God forbid Snooki take something awful that was done to her by a drunken douchebag and try and make something positive out of it...I bet you think she deserved to get punched too, am I right?

Anonymous said...

And of course, Snooki wasn't famous beforehand. It's not like she was on some popular reality television show or anything.

I actually find what dstarpro said rather concerning on several levels. As I seem to remember, Snooki and Jersey Shore did get plenty of publicity from the episode, as did the teacher who carried out the assault (he eventually lost his job). Apart from a few idiots making comments about 'how she deserved it' and jokes about battered women, the attention largely went some way to highlight the issue of violence against women by men, and speak out against it. In fact, 90% of what I read online was geared towards shaming the man responsible for his unjustifiable actions. So I fail to see how dstarpro can whine about Snooki getting a large amount of press off the back of it. Unless of course, she's yet again trying to defend Frank's misogynistic tweets.

Anonymous said...

Hey dstarpro, why don't you look up the words 'racist', 'sexist' and 'enabler' while you're at it. Because honey, you're all three.

Anonymous said...

I remember a few years ago when dstarpro started ranting at Megan Mayhem (one of the WMHC) on an MCR community over on LJ. There was a post about Elizacuts, and she commented to Megan as anon, and when Megan didn't give her a reply she logged in and went crazy on Megan for ignoring her 'support' and not validating her opinions. Two sandwiches short of a picnic, for sure.

Anonymous said...

Not that I feel Dstarpro isn't completely insane, sick and vile, but this relentless discussion of her and at her seems to be exactly what she wants. I understand it is hard to ignore people, especially people so relentless in their bullshit and personal attacking, but maybe if you all simply (and completely) ignore her -maybe she will just get bored. And then we can talk about actual news, or something moderately related to MCR...instead of just some of their more psyco fans.

Anonymous said...

Bit extreme 10:22? I do think she's attention seeking and plain silly come here to constantly try to change people's opinion.

But I do agree to ignore her outbursts and not to take her so seriously.

Other than that she is still entitled to post her opinions here in a non-attacking way.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the above. Although racist and misogynist apologizers are annoying and need to be called out, it's clear dstarpro hasn't got a clue and isn't ever going to see why her opinions are bad. The best thing is to not waste any more time on her. She's been given plenty on this page to think about, and hopefully once she removes her head from Lindsay/MCR's ass, she'll be able to see why the things they do and say aren't defendable.

G Way's "art" from the recent AP exhibit.

http://yfrog.com/6xnhuxj

Anonymous said...

WTF?

Anonymous said...

Didn't you know 2:30? Lindsey has inspired Gerard to do his own art show.

Wonder what other stunning pieces we get to see from Gerard Koons.

Anonymous said...

Is that really the picture that Gerard exhibited in the AP art show? If so, then I agree, WTF?

There are several other musicians who are featured at the Alternative Press 25th Anniversary Art Show, including Shirley Manson (Garbage), Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio), Black Harris (The Pixies), Anthony Green (Circa Survive), Shawn Harris (The Matches) and others. I think even Pete Wentz is included, but not Lindsey Way.

I think a lot of MCR fans don't realize just how many rock musicians went to art school. I can think of several off the top of my head: John Lennon, Brian Eno, Pete Townshend, Mike Shinoda, Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd, Michael Stipe (REM), Brandon Boyd (Incubus) half the members of The Rolling Stones...the list goes on and on. Gerard is not all that special, despite the fact that he's spent his entire musical career bleating on and on about going to Art Skewl.

I've seen some of Shawn Harris' work and he's very talented. I'm sure the work he exhibited in that show was much more appealing than a woman with a spider superimposed over her face. If that really was Gerard's contribution, then he's an even bigger idiot than I thought.

Anonymous said...

9.21 i can add another memeber to that list, Joe Strummer of The Clash also went to an Art school in London.

Anonymous said...

Gerard only cares about one thing anymore: money. Money for him and the wife to spend on crayons for the baby and cocaine for themselves.

Anonymous said...

Isn't Bandit too young for crayons? I mean, yeah, I realize her parents are "artsy" and all, but at age one most kids would just eat them. They don't have the manual dexterity to do anything else.

Those two don't have the sense to raise a kid.

Anonymous said...

Lol.

Maybe they think that ingesting crayon wax will make her more artistic.

Anonymous said...

Lindsay's just buying the crayons now because she knows that in a year's time when Gerard realizes he donesn't love her (like he did yesterday) she'll be out on the street with no money to pay for things herself.

Anonymous said...

That can't be Gerard's artwork. I don't believe you. He's very talented and he wouldn't do a throwaway piece for an exhibit like that.

Anonymous said...

Are you dumb? That's exactly the kind of thing he'd do. Remember Desolation Row?

Anonymous said...

What was wrong with Desolation Row? I thought it kicked ass.

Anonymous said...

It was a lazy, laughable attempt to glean more sales off the back of a current film release. They were basically Warner's puppets in action.

Anonymous said...

Agreed. Desolation Row was awful. It was MCR just 'phoning it in' so to speak. Everything they've done as of late has seemed like a 'throwaway piece' especially those awful songs they debuted at the Roxy. I'm not expecting much from this new record. At all.

Anonymous said...

I actually am expecting more, and I think Warner are too. That's why they sent them back into the studio to re-do the album.

Anonymous said...

Even if the record turns out to be decent, Gerard's voice is still crap.

Anonymous said...

Happyamp or Marmstrong, w/e you call yourself these days. Why don't you sign in with your name anymore?

Anonymous said...

Surely that picture is someone's idea of a joke. Is it me or does the woman look very much like Eliza with a Black Widow across her face?

Even Gerard wouldn't go that far surely!

Anonymous said...

I don't think she's been here since she deleted her comments. She would be easy to detect. She misspells things and makes a lot of grammatical errors and talks about Billie Joe Armstrong. And she was always saying totally irrelevant things. I don't see that anymore.

Anonymous said...

Surely that picture is someone's idea of a joke. Is it me or does the woman look very much like Eliza with a Black Widow across her face?

That's what I thought too. I seriously doubt that's the picture Gerard actually submitted for the exhibit.

I tried to find Gerard's picture but could only find Marilyn Manson and a few others. Marilyn's is not bad.

Anonymous said...

Oh my God. I take that back. It is Gerard's picture. You can find it on monstersandcritics.com.

Link.

Gerard's an idiot.

Anonymous said...

Gerard's an idiot.

This is news?

Anonymous said...

The girl in Gerard's painting is much too thin and feminine looking to be Eliza.

The sculpture by Liz McGrath is stunning.

Anonymous said...

I'm not overly impressed by any of the 'artwork' I see there. I suppose all those art history classes I took in college have kind of ruined me for pop art.

Anonymous said...

I think there is some very good work there. I guess all my art history classes didn't ruin pop art for me.

Anonymous said...

One of the things my art history classes did teach me is that taste in art is subjective.

A lot of people hated the work of some now very famous and respected artists when they were first viewed and reviewed.

Anonymous said...

The girl in Gerard's painting is much too thin and feminine looking to be Eliza.

Have you seen Eliza recently?

Anonymous said...

I know! Eliza is so tiny now. She hardly looks like the same person.

Anonymous said...

Apparently the spider is the logo for his upcoming True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys comic. What it's doing on the lady's face who knows. Maybe he is into hallucinogens these days?

Anonymous said...

So he essentially just plastered the logo of his new comic across the photograph of a woman and enters that in an art exhibit?

Okay.

Anonymous said...

God, Eliza is looking really thin for her.

So he essentially just plastered the logo of his new comic across the photograph of a woman and enters that in an art exhibit?

Looks that way. Unless the lady has something to do with the new comic also? Either way, lazy.

Anonymous said...

So I guess AP has no problem putting what is essentially a billboard advertising Gerard's comic in their "art show".

Oh wait. This is AP. Never mind.

Anonymous said...

I know this is a little late, but July 11, 2010 10:10 AM, I've worked as a teacher's aide at a preschool for years now, and it's called supervision. You probably wouldn't get a lot of crayon on the actual paper, but children that young can focus enough to try, at least for a little while. I wouldn't insult Lindsey for buying her kid art supplies. There's plenty in her past to insult her just fine. But it seems since Bandit arrived, Lindsey has at least paid attention to her -without seeming to need it so much for herself. I give her some credit for that. She's new to the parent thing. Also, I think GWay was going for a graffiti look with the Killjoys logo. It would fit in with the theme of the comic. I'm not saying it's anything special, but the look of it made sense to me.

Anonymous said...

wow. so all this time gw was apparently preparing for his own art show, with absolutely no publicity whatsoever while his wife just wouldnt shut up about hers even though its ages away.

i never thought id say this but im impressed.

as for the roid, funny how she hasnt tweeted about her hubbys little show.

heaven forbid he steals any of her attention!

or maybe she just doesnt think hes a real artist like her...

Anonymous said...

It's not Eliza and this is going to sound weird but I think I've seen her before somewhere...

Anonymous said...

me too, but its hard to tell with that spider on her face.

but maybe that was the point?

Anonymous said...

i never thought id say this but im impressed.

There's nothing to be impressed about.

Anonymous said...

Lol!

Maybe she's that mysterious stalker C-Love was talking about and that's why The Roid's gone all mum about it!

Anonymous said...

There's no mysterious stalker.

Anonymous said...

Interesting theory about the spider.

When I first saw the piece I thought it was weird that he'd hide her face when he's never hidden anyone's face before in his art.

I think she might actually be a real person but I'm not going to speculate any further than that.

sally said...

On one hand a piece or art is strictly a technical exercise, an object made of various mediums. On the other hand, it's an entrance into a realm of deep fantasy.

The material object in front of you may not make any sense at first glance, however it's intent is to take you on a journey, to question things per se.

It's like peering deep into the psyche: of the artist and of yourself.

This probably sounds long-winded, but they are some of my thoughts on the subject.

Anonymous said...

"Is it me or does the woman look very much like Eliza"

If only there was a bag of raisinettes in the picture...

Anonymous said...

Also, I think GWay was going for a graffiti look with the Killjoys logo. It would fit in with the theme of the comic. I'm not saying it's anything special, but the look of it made sense to me.

While I agree with your assessment of Gerard's intent with the picture, I still don't think it was appropriate for the Alternative Press Art exhibit. Gerard is obviously just using that as a means for advertising his new comic which is not what an art exhibit is usually about.

AP probably doesn't care, but I still think it's a pretty crappy thing for Gerard to do when I'm sure he had some actual paintings or scketches that he could have submitted instead.

Anonymous said...

^^agreeing with this right down to the AP probably doesn't care but
it looks like he put zero effort into it except it gave him a place to promote himself/his comic.

Anonymous said...

waiting for the inevitable, oh, so eloquent

obviously the roid doesnt care enough about her hubbys work to give it the same attention and pathetic defense shed give her own.

maybe if he had painted her shed actually give a shit...

of course. once word really gets out im sure she will hop on it to get as much attention for her own fucking show.

seriously. shes too greedy and useless to even be a good trophy wife.

on that note any word on msi touring agian?

if the roid doesnt figure out something to do with herself soon she will be the ugly one stuck eating crisps. lol.

Anonymous said...

^yeah i cant pity him but i still pity bandit fiercely. all children deserve better than to be used for fame and money.

Anonymous said...

I can't stand Gerard and I don't like MSI, but I don't see any evidence that Lindsey is a bad mother. She seems to love Bandit. I don't get where you are drawing your conclusions about Bandit being used for fame or money.

Anonymous said...

Also, the AP art exhibit is obviously not a big deal for Gerard or he would have submitted something other than a billboard for his comics. It was a throwaway for him and I'm sure it never would have occurred to Lindsey to even mention it.

Anonymous said...

yes and bandit clearly wasnt sobbing her eyes out before her mom finally succeed in stuffing her into this http://twitpic.com/bpvq0 to make her big twitter debut splash!

Where the hell do you get this from? Are you saying that mothers should spend every waking moment with their children? What a non-feminist notion!

Lindsey (and every other mother) is entitled to a life and an identity outside the realm of motherhood.

Exactly. They've done it before so that they can call us a "hate blog" because we "spout out irrational hatred against Lindsey."

Honestly, I have never had a problem with Lindsey other than the fact that she is in MSI and doesn't seem to know what the word "feminist" means. I see no evidence that she's a bad mother or that she was after Gerard for "his money." I don't think Gerard has all that much money to be honest. If he did he'd live in a better house.

"The Internet breeds cowardice nowadays -- everyone has a fake name, no one shows their face, everyone is extremely judgmental, extremely harsh to each other, commenting and blogging all this stuff. The world is their oyster now, they can type whatever they want, and they don't present themselves as a human being, they present themselves as an avatar and as a screen name, and that's cowardly."

Just food for thought, for all of us.

P.S.: That Electric New Paper interview does not show up on a their site, even when searched ( http://tnp.sg/ ) and caliw's credibility is obviously questionable at best, so I wouldn't quote it as gospel just yet. Even if it were a true interview, though, shit happens.

Also, I have to clarify something: I did NOT "intervene" in an argument, I simply commented upon it. They contacted ME, all of them, including @snobsandbitches, who did, in fact, take shots at the girls for what they do for a living - they were simply retaliating, and Jessicka was simply defending her friends. She blocked her shortly afterward.

I have never hidden my real identity; unlike you all continue to do. The fact that you all missed the point of Jack's comments completely really does say it all. You don't want to grasp the olive branch and meet anyone halfway, because that would force you to accept that your logic might be flawed.

Your inability (or unwillingness) to accept the fact that all I did was remark upon a comment and the girls responded to their names being mentioned is your own stubborn ignorance. Whether you want to accept it or not, that's how it went down.

You sit there and hurl labels and wild accusations at everyone and everything in a public forum, then whine for people to "leave you alone" when they call you out on it.

I honestly can't imagine what good can come out of 24/7 negativity - that sounds like a really sick endeavor to me.

Why does it make your opinions and your point of view more valid than the ones of the others just because you don't hide your real identity?
This makes absolutely no sense. Get over yourself, dstarpo!

As much as you want to present yourself as a brave woman who isn't scared to face the consequences in real life of the things she says in virtual life, there is at least one person on this blog who had to face those consequences herself and they weren't nice!

This is an open blog. There are no mods, no IP tracker. You can never know what insane people roam here, only waiting to get a chance to unleash their crazy and get back at another person just because they said something that offended them and/or annoyed them.
Thus, it would be incredibly stupid and irresponsible to post private info about oneself which can help those crazies to track you down so that they can mess up your life only because you once said that Gerard has a smelly butt.

And who knows, maybe someday the things you said on this blog might haunt you and bite you in the ass.

It's one thing to ask people to pick a random name so that one doesn't get too confused during a debate with numerous anonymous commenters but other than that it is none of your fucking business what our full names are and in what street we live.

Better safe than sorry!
