I've got some bad news for you sunshine...

"Pink" isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel, but they sent us along as a surrogate band... We're gonna find out where you fans really stand!

You know the rest, sing along LOL.

It's really hard to define this blog sometimes. My investment in MCR is over and has been over for years now. But I like the people on this blog and I like that there is a place for you to come and vent about anything. There is not much to report on a band no one really holds an interest in any more. But some people are just realizing the disappointment.

And for the people who have been here since the beginning, it is still a good place to laugh at people who let you down and turned into, well kind of like the end of "The Wall." The best thing to do is keep laughing.

Another thing I like is all the feminist links, thoughts, rants etc that go on here. Fighting against misogyny is empowering... isn't it?

I guess what I'm saying is this blog has evolved and is not restricted to talking about a washed up bunch of confused, testosterone driven man-children and we can discuss anything we want. Have a link on feminism or civil rights, or just want to rant.... Feel free!

What's sadder, an idiot who twitters nonsense or the people who dissect and discuss every word?

What's even sadder is that you come here to read anyway. I honestly believe you come here to get news, good or bad about your beloved Gee. You call us sad, but i think it is sad that since there is NOTHING to talk about right now since the MASSIVE successful record is taking forever to make, that you care so much for what we say.

Lyn-Z is proof of how fucked up our society is. The racists always wind up rich, with an army of enablers telling them how 'right' they are.

Anonymous said...

^this is so sadly true

Anonymous said...

while lindsey is racist, she strikes me more as ignorant.

which can be worse

The people who come here accusing us of criticizing their actions because a) we all wanted to marry him or b)jealousy for whatever reason, are incredibly simplistic and sexist in their reasoning. Doesn't surprise me considering who they idolize.

Anonymous said...

I don't have anything particular to add to the conversation, but I'd just like to request that the fat-shaming stop, whoever it is that's doing it.

Anonymous said...

Despite all their cockamamie accusations, I do believe this blog has developed it's own legion of fans.

Very flattering to say the least ^_^

Anonymous said...

Good to know that people who prance around on stage supporting racial slurs or tweet about the 'humor factor' in acts of violence against women can be defended against us big meanies here with our 'cockamamie accusations'.

Perhaps you'd like to engage in a conversation about how acceptable the use of the word 'Nigger' is as long as you're white and it doesn't affect you or your functioning in society? Or maybe you can crack some more abortion jokes like your idol does and laugh the whole thing off.

Anonymous said...

6:06 I think you misunderstood 2:09's post. I think they meant the fangirls who come here with their cockamamie accusations against us in reality enjoy this blog.

This blog was created the day after they got married. Three cheers Vera, you ain't foolin anybody.

Duh, this blog was originally created to point out the couple's resemblance to Kurt & Courtney.

Anonymous said...

And it was a reply to Mayo's blog. But since Mayo deleted his first few posts the fangirls conveniently forget that.

I have no idea why we are dissecting Lynz's twitter. Do you guys really care? After reading I looked. I didn't see anything that terrible. It's twitter does anybody really take it seriously?

The fight from what I gather had nothing to do with Lynz. From what I gather she jumped in after Jessicka made a comment.

from: @JessickaAddams
@dstarpro Just so you know. I do practice what I preach. I'm a long time feminist & pro woman. I choose not to respond to anybody who tries to gain attention by using unprovoked name calling & disparaging language towards young women here on twitter. This is my prerogative. I have been called every name in the book over the years, so their insults towards me did not phase me. The other girls they were attacking are younger then I am so I stepped in - hence: "Practicing what I preach!"
My crime:
I made one comment about that person's name & legitimacy, as my best friend of 22 years is an actual Los Angeles agent and would never behave in that manner, publicly or otherwise. I did not criticize them in any other way. I called it like I saw it. Then I blocked them as I felt they were in need of attention, (positive or negative) something I personally refuse to give them.

for some reason that response didn't bug me. Lynz shouldn't have jumped in.

Anonymous said...

As far as the crisp comment goes Jessicka posts this:

Do you have any general advice for women who maybe don't feel confident about the way they look especially because they're larger and/or unconventional looking?

Even though I've recently lost a lot of weight for medical reasons, I sympathize and understand how it feels to be larger and deal with fatphobia. I know the grass isn't always greener on the other side of weight issues and I sometimes miss my curves. These quotes get me through the day:
"Fat oppression is a huge problem especially among young women. Don't be your own biggest bully."
"Fat is not a four-letter word, don't let people try to use it against you."
We only have so much control over our genetics, let's not spend our lives hating what we don't have or trying to loose what we do. Self-loathing only makes things more difficult. Try take up as much space in the world as you can, because there are too many assholes who will if you don't. Support each other by supporting yourself. Remember what you see in magazines is not the norm, the standard, or the prerequisite for beauty. Big is fucking beautiful.

Everyone has personal insecurities I know I sure do and everyday it's an uphill battle to do my best to practice what I preach. I've definitely been guilty of having "cocaine confidence" and then the next day hate what I see in the mirror. Ask yourself: "What is the source of my self hatred?" If you think the source of the so-called flaws you see are based in prejudice then recognize that and don't give it credit it doesn't deserve.

Perhaps Lynz will learn a thing or two?

Anonymous said...

this means you think lynz can learn something?

LOl Jessika. You're fooling no one with your 'girl power' routine. If you are such a staunch defender of women's rights, why do you hang around with someone like Lindsay? The 'woman' whose band writes songs about girls being raped, disrespected and abused? Oh yeah, that's all 'ironic'. I forgot.

Anonymous said...

Just posting what I read. Don't care either way. But Jessicka was pro women waaaay before she met Lynz.
Like I said I don't care for Lynz, but I've always liked Jessicka's work.

I’m usually pretty oblivious to the judgments of others I guess. However, through various writings on the internet, people are judging each other left and right out there both in the blog-o-sphere, twitter, and in the real world.
So what is this judging all about? Is it so important who we’re going to hang out with? Who is like us and won’t judge us when we are with them because we are similar to them in our lifestyle and beliefs? We have to judge others in some ways to protect ourselves and make choices about whom to associate with?

Are artists still individuals? Does it matter who people associate with so much?

Anonymous said...

How is it a girl power routine? If so she's been at it since the early 90's, I guess she's really dedicated to faking it?

Well if this place is dying it's not the end of the world. Lindsay will soon be back to her old routine of supporting racism and laughing about five year old girls being molested, and she'll brush off all the hate like only an ignorant white person like her knows how. Such a role model, that one.

Anonymous said...

That's just the facts. This place is full of hate.

Totally agree. Both of them are full of shit. Same as GW ranting about what he should for in the past, all a good act.

Anonymous said...

Then this place is as dead as MCR.

This blog is only dying because MCR is dead.

Go look at the fansites if you want to see dead.

There's no news, no magazine covers, no word on the new record...nothing.

I don't think they're going to come back and if they do all of their old fans will have outgrown them. Well, all the non-crazies, anyway.

MCR is history.

actually, this is really old news, but apparently Guttermouth (?) left warped tour becuase of them, has anyone else heard that or have more info on it?

Anonymous said...

I call bullshit on your comment. You can't lump two people's ideas together because they know each other. That's just stupid, even for this place.

Anonymous said...

I don't know anything about Guttermouth, but I do know that MCR was kind of a WTF to a lot of people the first year they did Warped tour because of the makeup and the way they dressed. I was at two Warped shows in 04 and I knew a lot of people who didn't like MCR back then. They were never considered "punk" by a lot of people. If you go back and talk to some of the folks who were long time Warped followers they will tell you that bands like MCR and FOB ruined Warped by making it more mainstream for a few years.

Now it's kind of faded back into obscurity, but it's really not the same as it used to be.

Anonymous said...

^I'd also like to add that I haven't been to Warped since 05. I just don't like that kind of music anymore and I don't care for festivals.

I did go to Bonnaroo this year though and it was amazing.

Festivals aren't dead but Pop Punk and Emo are over.

Anonymous said...

As far as I know Jessicka has always been a feminist since the early 90's . I doubt she is a MCR or MSI listener though. I could be wrong. It doesn't seem like her style. She's friends with Lindsay, that doesn't mean she approves of her or her husbands music? I have friends and I dislike their musical taste or bands. I just like them as people. I have a feeling there's no winning here.

12:23
You have no idea what you are talking about. For arguments sake, I have a few close friends that I do not see eye to eye with but still consider friends. Logic, you have none.

Anonymous said...

So I guess whoever Lynz befriends becomes the enemy? You dismiss their value system because they are friends with Lynz? That's really very very stupid. There's no logic.

People don't generally associate constantly with people who have a diametrically opposing value system to yours. That's a fact. It's very very very stupid and naive to think otherwise.

Anonymous said...

Here we go again it's Lindsey bashing time. Doesn't it ever get boring you obsessed soccer moms and half wits?

Anonymous said...

12:31 don't be so silly. You are not going to see eye to eye with everything your friends do or say, that's normal. Value systems are far different. As for logic, I suggest you show some.

Anonymous said...

Shut up 12:33, wrong place to lick her ass.

Anonymous said...

12:31
I'm not at all naive. I just don't agree with you. I don't like MSI but I am one of the few here who has no issue with Lindsey. MCR not longer matters to me.
People don't generally judge others as harshly as most do here. Considering Lindsay didn't write the music in MSI, I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't have an issue befriending her. :gasp: Maybe she is a nice person.

Who is to say they are diametrically opposed? I'm saying that they may not see eye to eye on certain issues. My mother is a fucking Republican, we agree to disagree. I still love her she's still my mother.

My best friend loves rap music. I think it's shit. We are still friends.
get it?

Anonymous said...

12:35

I'll take your suggestion. Logic. Considering that Jessicka has been a feminist since the early 90's, that's a long time to bullshit for anybody and Lynz claims to be a third wave feminist, wouldn't that mean they see eye to eye?

I have yet to read Lynz make one racist comment. Besides the lyrics in MSI I'd love for somebody to produce said comment.

Anonymous said...

12:39 you don't have to agree with me, not asking you to. You are entitled to like you like and who you like and believe what you do. I happen not to agree with you.

Anonymous said...

12:44 That's fine. We can agree to disagree. But unless either of us know these women personally we'll never know the truth. We can respectfully remain on opposing sides.

Anonymous said...

The debate continues on what a real feminist is here. Its simple, if you are pro woman you are a feminist.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps slightly more than telling people to go fuck themselves ^_^

Anonymous said...

No, if you are a feminist you support equality for both sexes and do not make excuses for one because they are one of your own.

Second wave feminism is for the frigid. It's clear a lot of women here are no comfortable with sex and their sexuality.

The contemporary incarnation of sex-positive feminism appeared more recently, following the increase in feminist focus on pornography as a source of women's oppression in the 1970s. The rise of second-wave feminism, which began in the 1960s, was concurrent with the sexual revolution and legal rulings that loosened legal restrictions on access to pornography. In the 1970s, radical feminists became increasingly focused on issues around sexuality in a patriarchal society. Some feminist groups began to concern themselves with prescribing what proper feminist sexuality should look like. This was especially characteristic of lesbian separatist groups, but some heterosexual women's groups, such as Redstockings, became caught up with this issue as well. Many feminists began to see sexual pleasure itself as problematic. On the other hand, there were also third wave feminists, such as Betty Dodson, who saw women's sexual pleasure and masturbation as central to women's liberation. Pornography, however, was not a major issue; radical feminists were generally opposed to pornography, but the issue was not treated as especially important until the mid-1980s or until third wave feminism was born.

maybe you could actually learn something?

Actually you are both right. gender equality and....

Feminism refers to political, cultural, and economic movements aimed at establishing greater rights, legal protection for women and/or women's liberation. Feminism includes some of the sociological theories and philosophies concerned with issues of gender difference. It is also a movement that campaigns for women's rights and interests. Feminists are persons of either sex who believe in feminism – and of course practice their beliefs.

Anonymous said...

All you do here is make assumptions and accusations about people you don't know and will never meet. People that I will never meet but at least I stay semi-neutral because I don't know or care enough to hate them.

You all hang on her "crisp" comment. I'm assuming because like VV most of you are over weight? How's that for an assumption? Yet you dismiss anything positive said by Jessicka about fataphobia.

The person who said no matter what these women cannot win because of your blind hatred towards them is unfortunately 100% right.

You couldn't care less about discussing any form of feminism that isn't the brand you subscribe to. VV promotes feminism and positive female role models here? How the hell do any of you embody anything that is valuable to the feminists movement when scoff like it would be impossible for any of you to learn anything new?

Equal rights having been won; we are now in the midst of the third wave. In addition to smoothing out some of the rougher, anti-male elements of the first two waves, this wave, explained Naomi Wolf in The Washington Post, seeks to champion women “as cheerful, self-empowered individualists” and affirms that “every woman has something that makes her unique and gifted.” <-----
Modern feminism, in short, teaches that all women should be proud––proud of being women, proud not because of what they do but because of who they are. This is beginning to surface in the workplace as pride mean advancement in certain situations. How this differs from mere narcissism is unclear. It is completely self-referential, pointing to no values higher than itself. It is whatever is by women and for women.

Let me get this straight, if I suck someone's cock and go around flashing ma pretty pink pussy lips that 'il make me soooooooooo liberated and solves all the other daily dilemmas I encounter as a female like earning equal pay comparative to a male in the same position and not encounter any preconceived notions on my ability to do things based on my gender. Right.

"Second wave feminism is for the frigid. It's clear a lot of women here are no comfortable with sex and their sexuality.

The contemporary incarnation of sex-positive feminism appeared more recently, following the increase in feminist focus on pornography"

Oh no, I'm uncomfortable with a forty year old man talking about a five year old's panties, whatever will I do!

And oh no, not respecting a woman who has done nothing for herself but promote her crappy band through her rich and famous husband makes me less of a feminist!

Right. What was that about logic?

Anonymous said...

"I leave you with this. I've said all I need to say tonight. I learn something new everyday so not to become a stagnant, miserable, self hating, joyless curmudgeon."

Yet oddly enough, that is exactly how you come across in your comments. How strange!

And dude, the thing is, anyone coming in here arguing about feminism but defending MSI and MCR? Not to get meta on you all, but "Five Year Old Panty Shot" and an unplugged bass guitar render your arguments invalid.

Are any of you guys soccer moms? I know I'm not.

I'm educated and older, yes. I own my own business and I get respect out in the world for the most part. Yet I realize that I am in the minority.

I still disagree with third wave feminism because it does nothing for the majority of oppressed women in this world.

To the moron who said that "equal rights have been won" -- go tell that to women who face spousal abuse every day of their lives or to the 13 year old girls in Afghanistan who are forced to marry men old enough to be their grandfathers.

The world is much bigger than just your experience of it. Open your eyes and do a little research. You'll find that equal rights only exist for a very privileged few of us.

It's clear a lot of women here are no comfortable with sex and their sexuality.

Is it now? And how exactly do you know this?

I've been having sex for the better part of the last 20 years. I have two children and I could probably teach you a thing or too.

Just because I don't approve of Gerard's "moan for me" shtick and "5 Year Old Panty Shot" doesn't mean that I have any hangups about my sexuality. I do, however, disagree with sexualization of underage girls. So does the law. That's why we have child pornography laws.

Anonymous said...

I didn't see anybody defending MSi. I believe they were discussing feminism straight up.

You know, THIS.

One of the things these fangirls keep getting confused is the difference between liking sex, and using sex to get ahead.

Yeah. Those women are going to benefit so much from third wave feminists flaunting their sexuality.

Please.

I wonder how 'funny' and 'edgy' Lindsay would find it if Bandit was raped by a child molester. Or if she had slurs yelled at her.

This is why what she does and what she supports is not okay. This is the reason than none of you idiots can tell people that we're 'just jellus'. Because that woman is scum. Her band is scum. Those are the facts.

kapunua said...

Yeah. Those women are going to benefit so much from third wave feminists flaunting their sexuality.

but don't you understaaaand? Privileged American White Woman is privileged! Feminism goes as far as her, and after that, it just doesn't matter. As long as she gets her handbags, her clothes, her CDs, her rented monkeys, from her richass husband, why, it doesn't matter if the rest of the world is still struggling. Eff them! They're just afraid of sexuality.

Another thing I'd like to say about this blog. Thanks to this blog, I got in touch with The Girl Effect. I'm trying to set up a fundraiser at the end of the summer. We'll see if that works out. I hope it does!

Thanks to everyone who tries to improve the world, instead of spewing hate.

Lindsay supported racism each and every time she got on that stage and played along to songs containing racist slurs. So the count of times she's been a blatant racist could be in the thousands. Someone who engages in that sort of behavior is a shameless racist. Fact. She is not black. She has no reason or right to use that word as a shock tactic, or for 'irony'. She's white, and she's a racist who smiles proudly along as centuries of African-American struggle and abuse is mocked by her 'band'.

Amazing the impact one 'little' word can have, isn't it?

Anonymous said...

Lindsay supported racism each and every time she got on that stage and played along to songs containing racist slurs.

Honestly though, do you think Lindsey really understood what she was doing? Let's face it, girlfriend ain't all that bright. If somebody told her, "Oh it's not racism, we're being 'ironic'," would she have the ability to think for herself long enough to form her own opinion?

I think she just saw her chance to be in a band and didn't know or care that some people might be offended.

I'm not defending her, although I don't really think she's "scum" like other people have said. I just don't think she's bright enough to know what complicated things like "sarcasm", "irony" and even "feminism" are.

kapunua said...

I kind of agree with that. Typical, average, privileged dummy who has never really needed to think beyond the surface. I'm not painting her as the victim, because a certain amount of ignorance is willful. But for the most part, yeah. She's not what I'd think of as a Deep Thinker.

Anonymous said...

Agreed. I always assumed she would have joined any band that would have taken a no-talent bassist on the grounds that she was "hot" and could "breath fire".

Then, a person like her would go around spouting what ever bullshit she was fed because it's easier to just play along and be "popular" than to think for yourself.

lol this blog is a bit over the top sometimes! i've not been here in ages, i think people need to calm down a little bit and stop being so serious. :)

Anonymous said...

I love how the typical idiot fangirl response always flits between four key points: 'you're jealous', 'you're taking things too seriously', 'you need to move on' and 'pay attention to more important things'. Right, so racism isn't important? Sexual violence isn't important? Child molestation isn't important?

The only people who would claim such things are people who have no idea what the world is really like. They are people who make excuses for idiots like Gerard, MSI and Frank. They're the kind of people who laugh at rape jokes. They're the kind of people who probably call a passer by a 'nigger' under their breath when they're with their scene friends. They're the kind of people I'm not going to listen to at all, because they're in need of a really big reality check.

If one more people tells me to 'go do something else', 'stop being offended' or that I'm 'just jealous', I'm going to assume that you're a racist, sexist tool. Because the chances are, you probably are one. Just like your idols.

Anonymous said...

Anyone else read the things he said? God, he's the king of all Hollywood assbags. Such insane hatred.

Or since I'm a "minority" (wtf?,) MSI could write some lyrics about me.

The N-word, misogyny, etc. Not so different from one context to the next.

kapunua said...

Oh, and to answer the "UR ALL FAT MCR RULEZ!!!!111" troll's question, I put on three pounds in the last few months. How irritating. Fortunately I'm not so full of self-loathing that I need to resort to fat-shaming and typical fangirl stereotypes over it. ^_^

Anonymous said...

Yes, and talking about people laughing about rape jokes and calling people the "N" word on a blog will most certainly change opinions.

If even one of you anonymous pathetic freaks put yourselves out there and actually did something creatively, politically, or even something to help women globally, maybe your opinions would matter. You won't, certainly not publicly because the likelihood you'd be ripped apart for your efforts is just too scary to you. Posting anonymously on a blog about people you can't stand is safer.

The girl effect is a start but none of you have yet to do anything.

Kapunua you read the scale wrong it actually read 30 pounds, but who's counting? Damn, I guess your old MCR shirts won't fit anymore. Oh well, I'm sure you'll be buying new ones soon enough.

Oh sorry, I forgot. Your fangirl podium is your "safe spot", I forgot the MCRmy is unstoppable. LMAO.

I also remember a few weeks ago no one here was brave enough to post a pic of themself. Lynn put up a picture of a monkey. Cowards hiding behind a screen.

Uhm.... she looks pretty normal to me. But I'm a gym rat so thin girls with muscles are what I see a lot.

You people are ridiculous. Too fat, too thin, too ugly. This is exactly the kind of misogyny your idols promote.

You can say all you want that you don't care about MCR but you are obviously a fangirl and a troll.

Wait, wait. So you're here namelessly shouting hateful things about us, making stupid, false assumptions, calling us all names, too-fat this and too-skinny (LMAO) that and too-ugly the other, and all of this stuff, because you disagree with the premise of the blog.

But when someone turns the tables and calls you a fangirl - which you are acting like - then you get defensive and say "that's not true."

I mean, do you even hear yourself?

Anonymous said...

She called me a troll. Whatever will I do?
I guess I'll have to get back to my life. You know the one where I have friends, a life a great job, sex with a real caring partner, and success. Poor me.

WAIT!
I know what you all will be doing?
Trolling MCR, MSI, and friends twitter accounts for something to criticize.
You'll all masturbate with cookie crumbs still sticking to your chubby fingers because you've dissected what they've written and can't wait to post it here.

That's not pathetic at all.

kapunua said...

You kind of fail at deflecting, too.

I find it odd also that you used the word "conservative," when it's MSI and MCR that seem to share views with the Anne Coulters and Rush Limbaughs of the world.

Anonymous said...

Please, tell me how it's okay for Lindsay et all to be racists and sexists. I would love to hear that.

No answer?

Oh yeah. The fact is, the only argument you have is one of pure 'derailing for dummies' merit where you tell us all to go protest elsewhere if it means that much.

How do you know we don't? And moreso, why does it matter? Oh, right, because you're trying to take the spotlight away from the actual racists and sexists. Because you know they're wrong, yet you seek to place blame elsewhere.

Again, I'll ask you: please explain to me why Lindsay, Frank, Gerard and MSI can say what they want about black people, women, and little girls, and think it's acceptable. Then perhaps you can rework your argument and do the same favor for Mel Gibson. I hear he might have said some simiar stuff this week.
