It's really hard to define this blog sometimes. My investment in MCR is over and has been over for years now. But I like the people on this blog and I like that there is a place for you to come and vent about anything. There is not much to report on a band no one really holds an interest in any more. But some people are just realizing the disappointment.
And for the people who have been here since the beginning, it is still a good place to laugh at people who let you down and turned into, well kind of like the end of "The Wall." The best thing to do is keep laughing.
Another thing I like is all the feminist links, thoughts, rants etc that go on here. Fighting against misogyny is empowering... isn't it?
I guess what I'm saying is this blog has evolved and is not restricted to talking about a washed up bunch of confused, testosterone driven man-children and we can discuss anything we want. Have a link on feminism or civil rights, or just want to rant.... Feel free!

The only thing I knew about MSI was that they were playing the Revolution Stage later and I didn't care enough to stick around and get a nasty sunburn and heat stroke to see a band I had never heard of.

Sure, the movies are crap. So were the books, but so far the music has been really good. Thom Yorke, Muse, Iron and Wine, Bon Iver, Florence and the Machine, Vampire Weekend, Dead Weather, etc. and other really great artists have contributed to those soundtracks which have sold very well and gotten lots of exposure for their music.
Right now MCR's getting zero exposure and people are forgetting about them as we speak.

I don't think she'd find it so funny if she'd ever been forced to perform her own abortion with a wire rod, or been punched in the face by a stranger at a bar just because she was a woman.

I get really sick of people saying that this blog is a response to GWay's marriage and using that as a reason to say that we are JUS JELLUZ.
What they seem to forget is that Gerard married Lindsey after dating her for about six weeks and only a couple of months after breaking off an engagement with another girl.
Also, there was the fact that Gerard was hooking up with MSI, a band that seemed at the time to be the anti-MCR. It didn't seem to make a lot of sense.
The first blog was not about hating on Lindsey, it was concern about Gerard's welfare and state of mind. It was concern that he was on drugs and was going to go down the same road as Kurt Cobain.
Also, if you go back and read all the early comments at the Mayo blog, you'll see that those people were concerned for Gerard's welfare as well.
