I personally think it looks hideous already, but whatever. As someone who works in Human Resources, I would never hire anyone with a tattoo sleeve. Discriminatory? Probably, but my bosses are all in their mid-forties and up and they would fire me if I brought in a bunch of tattooed girls to work at our company.

They either don't give a fuck about their looks, or don't spend their money on clothes (which they should do at some point, at least when it comes to attending certain festivities and special occasions), or they don't have money to spend on clothes. Um, a couple of weeks ago? The Followills (Kings of Leon) and Jared Leto are constant paparazzi targets these days. Example: Caleb Followill being photographed through the window of an LA restaurant while trying to have a quiet dinner with his girlfriend. There are lots more where that came from as well as pics of them and their girlfriends at airports, entering their hotels, etc.
The paparrazi usually only go after ridiculously popular musicians and "beautiful people." Since Gerard and his wife don't fall into either category, they get ignored.

I thought most of their music was quite original. (I'm not being sarcastic.) But considering how things have turned, I have great fears about what this new album is going to sound like. And what exactly is going to happen when they are done touring it.
MCR used to be original, or atleast as close to original as artists these days can be, but lately the shit they pull just screams, "Hey! Look at me! I'm RaWKsAhH!!!!111" Like most other guys in bands these days.
They could only be different for so long. If you want to survive and thrive in the mainstream, which it is painfully obvious that they do, they have to conform at some point.

That Tweet of Brian's makes me think one of the band is looking to him for help? Which is interesting, as it's been implied that either Brian left or was kicked off. Maybe it wasn't the bands idea to lose him?
But then, the "9 lives" tweet from Brian (as well) implies it was HIS choice to leave.
I'm suddenly thinking that maybe everyone in that industry is damn childish. Wow. That's embarrassing. Or well, it should be.
And yeah Laura, the music hints they are giving currently don't look very impressive. The tittles alone. What a shame. I really expect so much more.

Actually, Siren's (according to myth) sang, luring sailor's (and their ships) towards their rocky shores (of far away islands), blinding them with their "beauty" as the ships (with all the foolish men aboard) are carelessly thrashed to pieces against the shore/rocks. Thus killing the shit out of all the sailor's.

I do like the tittle. I like the idea to a degree as well. I am sure it is meant to be quite romantic. Romeo and Juliet probably wouldn't have been so impactful if the two hadn't died in the end. Which is just my point, the ending is the unnerving aspect. The Siren's myth always ends in death. They were feared. It's not that beautiful if you think of it in terms of the myth.
Or hell, maybe he never fully read of the myth and I do just have a vivid imagination. It just struck me nervously the more I thought about it. I wasn't trying to say Lynz was killing him or that he felt so. I was simply saying in regards to the full myth, it's not the best way to compliment your loved one. But that probably won't be the point he is trying to make with the song anyway.

I don't understand why people stay together if they don't want too. There are reasons, some valid I am sure. But in the end why pretend to be happy? That's wasting your chances to be truly happy. GW wouldn't be the first to do that though. Nor would he be ever be the last. So many people stay.

I doubt that TWIU is even going to be on the CD. There is a universal hatred for that song, even among fangirls (with the exception of those idiots who just LURRRVE absolutely everything the band does, regardless), so Mikey probably just put that there to mess with everyone's mind.
One thing I've learned in my long and unfortunate history of being an MCR fan is that you can't trust a single thing they say or do.

I don't think they really hang out together or anything and they haven't been touring or promoting anything for a while, so there's really no reason for there to be any new pictures of them as a group.
I imagine we'll be seeing some new magazine shoots when the CD comes out, although it's not going to be anything like the media blitz for TBP. Warner ain't gonna shell out the bucks paying off magazines to put them on the cover this time around.
Do you really think their record label paid for all the publicity they got when Black Parade came out? I always thought it was kind of weird because they just seemed to come out of nowhere and all of a sudden they were everywhere and it's not like Welcome to the Black Parade was even that good of a song.
If Siren Song is the title or even the theme of the song, I don't think Gerard would ever dare to write something that would question his life choices, ie the marriage. That would be admitting he's wrong.

If I want to listen to something deep and introspective, I'll go listen to Motion City Soundtrack. If I want something poetic, there's TBS and Brand New. If I want ground-breaking, I'll listen to Radiohead.
I admit, although it took me a while, I'm really liking KoL these days. Their lyrics are sometimes about serial killers, vampires and what-not, but they don't try to act like there's some metaphoric meaning to them. Sometimes their songs are just about bar brawls and shagging groupies or their struggle with drugs and religion, but that's okay because they don't try and tell you they're something they're not. What matters is that the singer's voice is awesome and the music is really, really good.
There are so many bands out there with more to offer than MCR. I'm glad I opened my eyes to that.

But yeah, there are bands out there who actually are saying something. Or who, even if they don't have anything specific to say, are saying nothing but saying it beautifully.
I quite loved some of the lyrics on Revenge. I thought "You've spun this chamber dry" was the best line on the whole CD. ANd I suspect--but only suspect--that Gerard didn't write any of the real good lines on there, or if he did, he had help from someone. I absolutely cannot reconcile the shallow, babbling, L.A. rawkstah with anyone who had a hand in writing Bullets or Revenge.
The dude had help. I suspect maybe even with TBP although to be perfectly honest, TBP was a fairly shallow endeavor too. I loved the music but found the lyrics uninspiring (except for "Sleep" which I thought was terrific.) I wasn't a huge Parade fan, but you know, bands you like invariably have that one album that doesn't really inspire you and I thought that one was it for them. (For instance I adore TBS but the new album isn't as good as the other ones. Same goes for 30 STM: their first album was a stroke of brilliance. ABL was great, but just not as good as the first.)
Well, I'm babbling but you get what I mean.
