a lesson on how to treat women.

Gerard shows us how real men mark their territory.

I was going to say "he has no respect for her and she has no respect for herself" but instead I thought if you want to keep it funny.... Since this place is for you all and is about venting and laughing... Why don't you all caption it if you want?

Feel free to come here and vent, and laugh at stupidity. And the hypocrisy of them still calling themselves "feminists" and the mindless fangirls tho agree with them.

Somebody should send this to Lyn-z

Honestly, I think Lindsey likes sounding stupid, because she thinks it makes her seem hardcore.

Hardcore women are, like, tough and really, really stupid, but they can, like, fucking beat the shit out of all those, like, smart girls. And they can, like, fucking drink and swear them all under the table too. Hells yeah.

Anonymous said...

She doesn't sound stupid she is. Anyone with the smarts doesn't pretend to play bass in a band, and I use that term loosely, like MSI.

Laura said...

So there was this interesting article on BN that involved "The Millionaires" and one of the girls in the band said this:

"As a role model, I don't think what we say is what the younger girls should really look up to saying or doing. The three of us are role models in that we never had the musical abilities to actually play instruments and play guitars."

So, naturally, most of the comments are like "So we're supposed to look up to them because they don't have any talent and don't deserve to be were they are right now?"

This seemed eerily similar to what LynZ has said about herself in the past. I wonder why there wasn't such an outcry when she said something similar.

Either GW is totally oblivious to the kid, or he acts like those parents in that article.

Anonymous said...

Not every parent gives a fuck about their children, first born or not. I hate articles that use anecdotal evidence because it doesn't really prove anything other than the fact that "some moms" treat their firstborns that way.

Also, it has been my experience that men don't have the same instincts about their children that mothers do. Then again, that doesn't mean all fathers are less into their kids than moms.

Generalizations for the mother-fucking loss.

I think he's oblivious. I doubt he's changed a diaper or spent a single sleepless night.

interview with gerard way

Anonymous said...

the person interviewing him mentioned the baby, so obviously he was thought it was worth talking about, but no questions regarding her.

sounds to me like gerard is doing the 'please, don't ask me about my personal life' thing.

i bet he would have answered questions about his hair though.

Anonymous said...

I bet Gerard has a crush on Cillian Murphy.

Anonymous said...

To me he was the least interesting because he was too nice. I don’t really know how he got killed. A reader would be concerned but I don’t care. It’s like how I didn’t fully address the Monocle being a space alien.

he goes on to say that he doesn't care about how his characters time travel either, and how he just "doesn't give a fuck" about how parts of the plot happen.

Wow how hardcore, I'm so impressed.

Anonymous said...

WTF, seriously?

Of course he doesn’t care about plot points, character or things like that. He got this book deal off being in a boy band and its fans are his teenage fangirls. Why should he have to, like, WRITE? That’s too haaaaard. He should totally hook up with Stephanie Meyers.

Was totally me. And yeah, before said fangirls attack: It does make me mad that I try so hard to be good at writing, but this yutz jerks off all over a page and Dark Horse runs to lap it up and then he's like "Writing, LOL how silly, I'm too good to actually think!"

It's an insult to actual writers but then again, who doesn't he insult?

Anonymous said...

Come to think of it, I'm gonna add that, too.

Anonymous said...

Wow. I'm a writer (unpublished) and I research the hell out of everything. Also, I have to know my characters inside out. They're such a part of my life, sometimes I think I can see them. Hell, I even dream about them.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I don't care. I'll keep doing it my way, thanks.

Anonymous said...

Anon, me too. I'm still trying to get my work out there and I try really hard. I want to write a good story. "A reader would care, but I don't?" Hell, why should he care about the readers? He got handed a book deal.

Anonymous said...

Anon, what kind of stories do you write?

7:37 said...

I'm happy to know that somebody else feels angry when they read his bullshit, Kapunua.

It probably shouldn't bother me so much, but it does. What I wouldn't give to tell this idiot what an unoriginal hack he truly is. I thought TUA was one of the most contrived and derivative pieces of shit I ever read.

Most of my stories have just been about ordinary people who are faced with extraordinary circumstances, Kapunua, although I've dabbled in horror and sci-fi.

What do you write?

7:37 said...

I commented. Now I feel a little bit better.

Anonymous said...

I usually just laugh at his stupid antics but sometimes he gets to me, especially when it comes to things that so many people strive for (feminism, equality and such) and he craps all over it, or things such as this. He is truly lucky that he surrounded himself with talented people who were willing to work for him, and he really does show how much he loves taking a huge dump on things like class, hard work and talent.

I read the first issue of TUA and at first I thought, "Well, neat I guess." But then, a bunch of kids with special powerzzzz are raised by this rich eccentric father figure and they have to go save the day? Umm, where have I heard that plot before? I just can't think of it!

The way you described what you mostly write made me think a little of Stephen King. I've always liked how he was able to take the mundane and make it epic, and take ordinary characters and put them into extraordinary situations to see how far they will go. I like that kind of story.

Oddly enough I do a sci-fi horror. My story that I'm trying to get out there now is all about time travel. I always call myself a hack, but it's not for lack of trying to be a better writer. :D I do try very hard.

Anonymous said...

You two realize you're going to be hit by a bunch of OMG, U R SO STOOPID! comments, right?

Anonymous said...

Yeah, but that's okay.

I have to admit, Stephen King is one of my influences, along with Cormac McCarthy, Ray Bradbury and Joseph Heller. I realize this probably sounds like a strange assortment. I'm also kind of bummed that there aren't any females included in there. I think my problem with a lot of female writers is their preoccupation with romance.

I hope you don't ever give up on your writing, K. I'm sure you have a very unique talent and if you keep trying it will eventually pay off. And, when you do achieve success, it will be on the merits of what you write, not who you know.

7:37 said...

Lol, 8:04. It won't be the first time I've been called STOOPID by an MCR fangirl.

Lynn said...

You two realize you're going to be hit by a bunch of OMG, U R SO STOOPID! comments, right?

There really isn't any Gerard praises over there as far as i can see. I guess the BN people haven't found that interview yet. LOL! I had to leave a comment too. I couldn't resist!

Anonymous said...

King has influenced me a lot, too. There have been some stories of his that I haven't been wildly into, but for the most part I think the dude is a weird kind of genius. He sees things in ordinary life that other people miss.

And I love Bradbury. He was one of King's influences.

I usually more or less dislike romance in novels because it so often feels tacked on. Same thing with movies: it's as if they think people won't be interested unless there's a token "couple" in the story. But they're usually right. It's what people want.

I love JKRowling, even--like with King--if I haven't been across the board wild about everything she's written. I think she's a really good lady who found her pot of gold and she always acts with class. And her stories mean a lot to her. I appreciate that.

I like some Barbara Kingsolver and on and off I like Margaret Weiss (of the Dragonlance novels) just because she wrote Raistlin Majere, such an awesome character. :) )

I'm currently reading Shogun and it's teaching me a lot about having a really thick plot with good pacing. Wish I could churn it out like that!

Anonymous said...

Anon, I hope you stick with the writing, too. One day, we'll get our shot! ^_^ Have you ever submitted anything?

Anonymous said...

This completely batshit insane person keeps making new accounts, how do we get her permanently banned? @bonita_elba00:

From Mikey ways twitter. Looks like that crazy chick from buzznet is back!

Anonymous said...

I have not read anything by either Barbara Kingsolver or Margaret Weiss, but they sound interesting so I will check them out. Thanks.

I definitely agree with what you said about J.K. Rowling. She is a very classy lady and you can tell how much she adores her characters. I even remember reading once where she said she literally saw Harry before she began writing about him. It made me feel a little better about myself, seeing as how I see my characters all of the time. ^_~

The thing I love so much about Cormac McCarthy is that he can write about the most horrible things and do it so beautifully that it makes you want to cry. His phrasing is so eloquent and yet so simple. Sometimes it's painful for me to read him because I know I'll never be able to write like that.

The thing I appreciate about Heller is his humor. Humor is such a necessary element in life, even when it is used in situations where it doesn't really seem appropriate. Sometimes it's the only thing that makes life bearable and that applies to fiction as well.

Sorry to ramble on, it's just nice to talk to a fellow writer.

Anonymous said...

I've submitted a couple of things to literary agents and although I've generally gotten good feedback, it's been followed by the standard "this is not what I'm looking for right now, but I would be open to reading more from you in the future."

I figure that's better than just an outright, "This sucks!" right?

How about you?

Anonymous said...

I will look into those writers, too! I'm always looking for some new book to get into. I'm also reading Inkheart because I liked the movie (read: just love Paul Bettany,) but to my surprise, the book is quite slow.

I see my characters, too. Sometimes I keep them in my head and wonder how they would react to things in my world. I hope that's not too weird. ^_^

You submitted to agents? I've never tried an agent. I go straight to publishers. I tried Daw last year and got almost the same rejection you got! "Thank you but not right for our market." It's nice when it's not a form letter. :)

I am going to try Tor or Edge next. They both accept un-agented work too. Have you considered just submitting directly to the publisher?

7:37 said...

I enjoyed the film Inkheart as well, and for the same reasons you did, but I've never read the book.

I've never submitted directly to a publisher before, but maybe I will give it a try. I don't have anything to lose, I suppose.

I had a professor in college who was very encouraging. He had published a couple of novels and is friends with some well-known writers. I got one of the agents' names from him. He told me that most published authors have enough rejection letters to wallpaper a small house before they get published and not to give up.

It was so great talking to you tonight. I wish you the best of luck with your writing and hopefully, we'll be recommending one another to others to read one day.

^_^

(italics is Gerard)

Gerard Way went to the School of Visual Arts for cartooning, became a massive success with the band My Chemical Romance, and then returned to comics by writing the Dark Horse Comics series Umbrella Academy. The comic is a lot like X-Men if they were all borderline goth (gothish?) and Professor X hated them. It’s a really fun comic to read and look at and has some interesting ideas concealed in it. Gerard is basically living every outsider’s dream. He’s a smart and good-looking guy in a popular band with a popular comic and he and the bassist of MSI just had a baby.

You have an action figure based on yourself. That’s rad.
It looks exactly like me because they scanned our faces. We try to be careful what we license our music to. We could have been perceived weird when those figures came out but we don’t really care if people hate that we did this. When I’m 65 years, old I’m going to have an action figure of myself and you can’t beat that. A lot of people want to do corny wannabe Japanese vinyl but you can’t fake that so we did straight-up action figures.

I read through Umbrella Academy twice and at first I was confused but I thoroughly enjoyed it the second time. It seemed like the core is people who grow up unloved as children. The father figure is known as the Monocle, implying that he scrutinizes instead of encouraging. All of their powers or physical transformations seem to be manifestations of how unloved children grow up.
Growing up I was hooked in by X-Men. I loved those 80s X-Men. I liked Longshot, Dazzler, and Jubilee. I liked those useless characters, which is why a lot of the characters in Umbrella Academy are kinda useless at times. As I got older, I didn’t relate to it anymore. I went somewhere else. I needed something more postmodern, and what appealed to me were the Doom Patrol reprints. I liked them as a teenager but as an adult they really made sense. Umbrella Academy was rooted a little in Grant Morrison’s Doom Patrol, but really, it was rooted in British television, mainly The Prisoner. Even with the characters wearing the black blazers with the white piping. The Monocle’s almost like Number Two in The Prisoner. He puts these young adults through torture. I wanted it to be fun, but I didn’t want to explain it too much so it’s OK if it’s confusing. The most recent story was about time travel, and time-travel stories are a bitch to write. Eventually I stopped caring about the mathematics of it so it might have seemed sloppy. I hate that if you want to plug into the Marvel continuity then you have to check up on a whole bunch of facts. The book has a “fuck it” attitude. It doesn’t matter how they time-traveled, they just did.

I hate when Superman comics deal with him getting married or doing his taxes and try to scientifically explain his powers.
I don’t want to know how his powers work! If you read Grant Morrison’s All Star Superman it’s the best Superman in at least 20 years. They tell his origin in three silent pages because you don’t need to know all the garbage. My problem with modern superhero comics is that they’re catering to a very specific individual. I don’t care what someone who knows what kind of underwear Batman was wearing in 1968 thinks about Umbrella Academy.

Anonymous said...

It’s all trivia to obsess over, it’s not really about anything.
It’s like memorizing baseball stats.

On my second read-through of your comic, I realized that there’s a character called the Horror who is peripherally introduced and then completely absent from the series. Are you going to explain this character?
We’ll start to deal with him very soon, like a series from now. He was a character created simply as a plot device. He was supposed to exist on the team but I realized I had too many characters so I killed him off. To me he was the least interesting because he was too nice. I don’t really know how he got killed. A reader would be concerned but I don’t care. It’s like how I didn’t fully address the Monocle being a space alien.

What are you working on next?
My next comic is with Becky Cloonan. It’s a totally brand-new thing. We’re announcing it at San Diego. It taps directly into kids going to shows. It’s a nod to old Vertigo comics.

Is Umbrella Academy going to turn into a movie?
I think it’s going to happen. If they don’t make it, it’s not going to break my heart. I accomplished what I wanted with that story. I have a good relationship with Universal and it’s been fast-tracked.

Do you have a wish list for who you’d like in the movie?
I like casting older, like Adrien Brody and Winona Ryder. I think Universal likes the book because they can cast younger. I just want someone good and not trendy but I’d love to see the guy who played Scarecrow in Batman as Séance. It would be great to get Anne Hathaway as Vanya.

What do you think of San Diego Comic-Con?
I love to be overwhelmed, so I love it. Just walking around seeing way too much shit, way too fast. People talk about it possibly being bad for comics because of all the noncomics stuff there but I think it’s ultimately good for comics. But you have this group of creators now making comics just to try to get optioned for a film or TV show. That’s an example of Hollywood being bad for comics.

What’s it like being famous?
I always had good experiences at the places I frequented anyway. Comic shops, comic cons, horror cons. I went to New York Comic-Con when it first opened and I was waiting in line, apprehensive of what might happen. Whether people like my band or not, they sometimes just want to get a reaction. You never know what they’ll say to get that reaction. People who are drawn to the same things as me are overwhelmingly friendly and seem surprised to see me at horror cons. I meet comic retailers all the time who thank me for getting people into the comic shops who’d never read American comics before. It’s cool to be able to inject some life into comics.

After reading that article about TUA I'm kinda speechless. It seems Gerard's stupidity knows no bounds.

How idiotic was is to admit that he doesn't really care about his characters? Or that he developed a kind of "fuck it" attitude towards the time travel thing in the second series? Not to mention, he seems to be dissing Marvel and the preoccupation that many fans have with continuity.

Wow, Geetard. Way to show your arrogance. I suppose this is all in keeping with your new "hardcore" image.

He never learns, does he?

Could someone please give me a link to loveman again. I took a quick look back but couldn't find it.

Anonymous said...

I don't know about Frank and Gerard, but I'd bet money of Gerard and Bert McCracken having been intimate when they were friends.

Gerard's entire demeanor was different when they were "together". He was much more feminine in his actions, his gestures and even his speaking voice was softer.

According to the OPs at Mayo's, Gerard and Frank "consummated" their relationship in Germany. They are so convinced of this that they berated Mayo for it.

Personally I don't know if the two of them were ever intimate. Gerard might be gay but it doesn't matter because he's whoever else is around him, like there really is no Gerard.

Anonymous said...

Like the OPs at Mayo would know anything. Are they psychic?

Anonymous said...

Frank was already married when the OPs think they "did it," but the OPs didn't know that. They think that's why Gerard broke up with Eliza.

Seriously, those two are just pulling stuff out of their asses. Don't pay them any attention.

Anonymous said...

Lol, it doesn't matter if Gerard is a good comic book writer or not, just as long as he's HOTT.

WMHC -admiration for nothing but the association of their spouses. And yes ladies, we have just de-evolved a few centuries. sigh.

Anonymous said...

Chantal and Frances are way worse than WMHC. At least WMHC doesn't rub everything in your face and when you ask them about it, they'll snap back at you for being nosey and stuff.

Anonymous said...

I dont have problems against lyn-z yet (im not her supporter either) but chantal and frances are the main reason why i hate gerard's new group of friends.

Anonymous said...

Well throw Piss, and Righ? in the mix and yea, hatred and disgust. There should be a limit on how many ignorant and vile words per each of them is allowed, per...hour. If for nothing but the good of mankind.

Tiger Lily said...

bc hi how you doing!?
let's not be rude to each other, we have to act different from the fangirls and their well known nonrational behaviour.

there was a time when frances had her twitter page private then she made it public again, its obvious she loveeeees attention.

lynz already has 101 followers...
bet she will be over 1,000 by tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

Frances is sad case, and so typical of a teenager today. She must see herself as so mature to be surrounded with all these adults that want to be around her, but they are just exploiting her in the worst possible way. And she is doing nothing with her life, no studying no work. She must be waiting for a rockstar husband, just like her friends.

Anonymous said...

Frances can always use her private 'lilacwizard' account to talk to lyn-z but NO, she wants the fans to know that they're BFF.

Anonymous said...

I agree 10:44. I don't see the need to exploit other people's distaste of you either (WMHC). But in comparison, Chantel and Frances are quite offensive. Arrogance, and for nothing earned, IMO.

Anonymous said...

It is sad 10:51. She is in great need of a parent. A real one. I hope she figures out reality on her own someday. I think the only way for her to do that is to step away from the dillusional L.A. "lifestyle" and "friends." Her home and company do nothing but hold her back from what she could become. Her future.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if Chantel was always that way or whether her husband the way he thinks, and his mannerisms have influenced her, the same way as Lindsey has influenced Gerard.

Anonymous said...

I don't know if I like that theory or if it further frightens me. Scary either way.

Anonymous said...

Sixteen year olds can have a friendship with thirty plus year olds, however the bulk of their socialization should be with their own age group. I think this is stunting her emotional development.

Anonymous said...

They are not mature themselves 10:58.

Anonymous said...

lynz already has 101 followers...

This is probably happening right now:

Frances: OMG Lyn, check this out. You already gain 100 followers! And you haven't said anything yet on twitter!

Lyn-z: I have what? OMG, this is crazy. *giggles*

Frances: I know, right? But don't worry about them, they're just nosey losers.

*giggling continues*

Anonymous said...

She must be waiting for a rockstar husband, just like her friends.

She's probably waiting for Gerard to cheat on Lyn-z with her.

Anonymous said...

I do believe Chantel now tends to think along the lines of her husband. This girl is what? late twenties, he is turning forty this year. She seems to adopted his style of speaking.

Anonymous said...

Frances is just the same with any other fangirls. She jumped onto MSI bandwagon right after Gerard marries Lyn-z.

And she thinks no one knows that.

Anonymous said...

Lyn-z: I have what? OMG, this is crazy. *giggles*

Gee, guess what, I love the attention. I'm just an immature whore who gets off feeling above the teenagers that worship my husband.

Anonymous said...

Ah jesus. Thanks for that horrifying mental picture 11:02 PM

Anonymous said...

Jimmy is leeching off Chantal just like Lyn-z is leeching off Gerard.

Both MCR and Morningwood are my favorite bands long before MSI came into the picture. I always look up to Chantal and Gerard for various reasons but when TWO members of MSI marry my idols and changed them inside out, that was when I gave up on them. It's not MCR or Morningwood anymore, its MSI who "owns" those two bands and shaped their current creative direction.

Anonymous said...

I didn't think of it that way 11:18. That is messed up. Why do they have such power over seemingly non-weak people?

I think it is the fact that Piss seems to have this air of being something so much more original (and important) than he really is. False confidence. That band isn't controversial. They are simply lazy and disgusting and found a way to hide behind big and important words/ideas AKA:Controvesy.

When did Chantel and Piss get married? I don't think it was that long ago was it? I had no idea Piss was that old. He acts like a 12 year old. (No offense to 12 yr olds.)

Anonymous said...

I'm still in denial and it makes me wanna cry when I think about this. I don't want to believe that this "bad-ass LA rockstar" is the real Gerard Way. I really hope that this is just a phase and that the "hero" Gerard is still buried deep inside him. =[

Anonymous said...

Why do they have such power over seemingly non-weak people?

Maybe the non-weak people are weak inside.

Anonymous said...

11:29 PM, honey, you are not alone. I really hope this new "Him" is a damn phase as well. His new self makes me sick to my stomach. I used to think he was so important and needed, an icon with the power to influence, that cared about that resposibility. And would use it, to really help people.

Maybe it's just too hard to care in the entertainment world.

And I do agree 11:31. I believe everyone is weak on the inside. But I don't feel completely altering yourself to match someone who behave's and thinks beneith what you are capable of -is weakness. I think it is something far more serious. And far more pathetic.

When I was still a fan, I always see Chantal as this sweet, graceful but femme-fatale kind of woman, you know, like Shirley Manson. She came from a well-to-do family and she probably met lots of good men from that so when she marries Jimmy I see this as a good girl-bad guy kind of relationship. I thought she's going to change him but it turns out that he changed her into the bitch/slut/attention whore kind of girl she is now.

Anonymous said...

I think it is something far more serious. And far more pathetic.

Like what?

Anonymous said...

Maybe it's a phase for her too, 11:18. We just don't know what is really going on. That doesn't mean you can't still admire what she used to be. I always feel that when someone lets you down, you just do you're best not to be like them, in that moment. It shouldn't change what they were, what they stood for (even though it taints it). You can still strive to be what she was, for yourself.

I think LA tends to suck people up and pollute their minds that this is the life they want to be living. I hope they figure out that that kind of "fame" is not worth their integrity. I would imagine it is hard to think/act/feel the need to be resposible, when you are surrounded by people telling you, you are invincible. If JU is feeding off of her success, hopefully she'll see that and get herself back together. The same with GW. Although I am worried that those two now have a baby. I don't see things changing for the better right now.

Anonymous said...

Chantel has subconsciously conformed into the image of a woman she feels she has to be for her husband. Just the way Gerard has conformed for Lindsey.

Anonymous said...

Drugs, 11:42. Or alcohol. And someone feeding him(GW) constant lies that what he had stood for wasn't worth the effort. Or the backlash. Someone telling him it wasn't cool to care.

What do you think?

Anonymous said...

Is that the new definition of marriage 11:50? Giving up who you were to better fit who you marry? Why then did LynZ not conform to Gerard's way of thinking as well? And likewise for Jimmy to Chantel? It seems rather lopsided for both couples.

Anonymous said...

Look at Chantel, didn't someone say she came from a good family and was a nice girl. In walks in James, completely different from what she is accustomed to. He is different, a bit dangerous, it could have been different and exciting. Maybe the good girl is the role she played all her life, and she hasn't fully matured yet, so this is a different way of operating for now.

Anonymous said...

And eventually you think and behave the same way as the crowd you constantly hang around with. Takes maturity to step back and reflect if it's working for you. Most people don't want to rock the boat. It's easier.

Anonymous said...

Deep down inside they both didn't like themselves enough.

Anonymous said...

Whatever the case may be 12PM, it is disturbing to see someone completely alter who they are, even if they feel better for it. It makes me think something wasn't right with the person to begin with, if they can turn on themselves so quickly. -That's not meant to be insulting. I just find it all unnerving. I am who I am. I can't imagine anyone making me want to rethink the core things I have faith in. At least not to the extent that it appears GW has.

I don't know much of Chantel, but I don't care for the way she 'currently' represents herself. I don't care for the way any of them behave, speak or seem to think now. I just find it very disappointing.

Anonymous said...

I understand and completely agree with you on that 12:04 AM. I have been in that position. But eventually at some point you have to admit that you are faking your way just to appease people. If they are truly you're friends, they would take you for what and who, you really are.

12:06 AM you are probably right. But I don't see how anyone, that exist's could not retain something of themselves. Even if they wanted to fit in and feel better about themselves. How could you possibly hate yourself that much, that you would let go of everything inside you? I hope I never understand that.

Anonymous said...

I agree 12:07 they have no class. For Frances to say something so ridiculous as labeling the teenage fans "losers" to impress Lindsey is laughable.

Anonymous said...

How could you possibly hate yourself that much, that you would let go of everything inside you? I hope I never understand that.

I think it's more than that; they never really "knew" who they were in the first place.

I met Gerard during 05 Warped and he was the nicest rockstar there. There were about 100 fans waiting for him and even though his bodyguard kept saying "alright, we have to go", he ignored him and ended up signing for almost everybody.

But when I met him again last year, he was the most arrogant person I've ever seen in my life. It's like seeing a different person altogether. There were about about 30 fans waiting for him at the back door and when he walked out, he just ignored us and pretended like we didn't exist. After he walked away, the bouncers/bodyguards from the venue pushed us like animals and said that gerard doesn't want to meet us. It was really sad and some fans tried to justify the situation by saying that he was tired but that's bullshit, IMO. At Warped, he just got off stage, sweating in his bulletproof vest with the sun burning on his head and still have the time to meet everyone, compared to how he already got 3-4 hours of rest after the night show, and still "tired"?

Anonymous said...

I agree too 12:14. But I had no idea that according to fans, Chantel was someome to look up to. That concerns me. I don't see it in her right now. If I had just discovered MCR, instead of being a fan for a few years now, I would never have thought so highly of them. Never even flinched at what has come out of GW and company's mouth's. But I haven't forgotten what they were. What they claimed to stand for. I understand 11:18's sadness. Seeing people fall is never really that funny.

But we can't do anything much but laugh at it. There's nothing else to do.

11.42 said...

And someone feeding him(GW) constant lies that what he had stood for wasn't worth the effort.

This is really sad. I still believe that Gerard is capable of being a hero but you can count on MSI to destroy it. ='[

Anonymous said...

Wow. I'd say thanks for sharing your experience 12:18. But reading that just makes me sick. I really hate him sometimes. Wtf happened.

Anonymous said...

In her head, Frances believes she is above and so much more mature than her peers. In reality she thinks exactly the same way, just expresses it differently.

Anonymous said...

I feel confident in blaming her mother (or lack there of) for that in Frances. But I am holding out hope for her. The others? I believe they are prefectly aware of themselves and what they lack, and I belive they could give a shit. They seem quite pleased to be and stand for nothing.

I agree 11:42/12:22. Very sad.

Anonymous said...

12:22, I don't agree. No one can make you do anything. MSI didn't make him do anything. Maybe he felt the pressure to go a certain path, but that was still his decision to act this way.

Anonymous said...

I still believe that Gerard is a good person. Eliza used to write in her blog that "the love of her life" changed her to be a better person. She becomes sober, tried to read more books and accepts her flaws because of him.

But now look what happen to that guy. I guess he's the one that needs to be saved.

Anonymous said...

I can just see James teasing/insulting Gerard in an underhanded way. He does it on stage, wouldn't surprise me if he is like that off stage. These people are controlling in a passive-aggressive, manipulating way.

Anonymous said...

How long so you think it will be til MinervaOwl starts pestering Lindsey on Twitter?

Anonymous said...

Could have made him feel like a douche for believing, if he ever did, in the principles they used to talk about on stage.

Anonymous said...

She knows all the MCR fangirls will defend her.

I can see him doing that - to Lindsey as well as Gerard. Lindsey's stupid, lack self-confidence (but doesn't show it) and I think she's easily willed by Jimmy. I know she's been a bitch in interviews but all of her bitchy comments I have seen have been when Jimmy was around. Her solo interviews are mind numbing but at least she's nice in them. It would surprise me if she was a really nice person when others weren't around to influence her.

Anonymous said...

I think you're right 12:30 AM. But just who would he allow to do so? I think you can only be saved when you WANT to be.

I have no doubt in me that James hasn't and still continues to do that 12:32 AM. I bet he (JU) finds it most amusing to have crushed someone so incredibly self-loathing to begin with. I guess all of the fans that did beleive in Gerard weren't enough to keep him believing in himself.

Anonymous said...

You have a point there Safe.

And that would be pretty sad if between the two of them, neither one could stand up for themselves. What a horrible way to live.

James Euringer gives me the impression of a boy that was bullied in his youth and has now become the tacit concealed bully himself.

Anonymous said...

I think I can relate myself to what happens to Gerard. I was a top student throughout my school years but a few months before finishing high school, I met this really cute skater/slacker guy whom I think will be "The One". I took a 180 degree change after that, I started skipping classes, failed in nearly every subjects, dressing like tramp and i even talk like one just to fit in with him and his friends. This guy almost makes me lose my college scholarship but luckily we broke up and I finally get to my senses.

Yes, I admit that I was emotionally weak. And I bet that is exactly what's happening to Gerard right now. I hope he finally came to his senses and be the person he really is instead of changing his personality just to impress his lady and her friends. I'm not saying that he has to break up with Lyn-z but he just has to quit trying to be an asshole when he's not.

I think Gerard did it because of his unconditional love for Lyn-z.

i mean, "unconditional"

I think Gerard did it because of his unconditional love for Lyn-z.

What? Unconditional love is not about changing yourself, it's about loving your partner despite all their flaws, and accepting who they are.

Anonymous said...

I don't want to hate Lyn-z and MSI but its obvious that they're the reason why Gerard and MCR changed. I have no problem with her fucking him, but the fact that her band turned MCR from heroes to douchebags is what I'm mad of.

How I wish Linkin Park didn't invite them to be on PR '07 =[

A good marriage/relationship is one where that person bring out the best of your existing qualities, excites and challenges you.

Any relationship where you have to hide your true shelf is doomed. And it's not love.

Anonymous said...

Kudos to you 12:48 AM. I don't think a person truly loves you if they don't accept you for who you really are. Thanks for sharing.

-Basically, I agree with 1AM.

I hope GW can save himself, if he truly needs or wants to be saved. I don't know what more to say about how he has done to the band's image.

Anonymous said...

I think Gerard did it because of his unconditional love for Lyn-z.

Do you think he had to "prove" his love by adopting the style of MSI?

Anonymous said...

I agree 1:10 AM. But at the moment, it doesn't look like GW thinks he ISN'T in love. Or Chantel for that matter. We're just fans. Our opinion's and concerns matter not.

Anonymous said...

Why MSI? What's so charismatic about them. They're not even successful. Are they friends with other bands? Or are they outsiders just like GW used to say MCR were?

Anonymous said...

Any relationship where you have to hide your true shelf is doomed. And it's not love.

If this is true love for Gerard then I guess THIS is the real him. :(

Oh, now I get you. You meant that Lindsey has let Gerard be his real asshole self -- true love. Understand ;)

We're just fans.

Speak for yourself, please. I'm SO not a fan!!!

I think that Gerard made his own bed and he should lie in it too. He is old enough to capture the consequences of his behavior. If he doesn't, well, then he's even more stupid and mentally ill than I ever thought.

I don't know if Lindsey is really to blame for his change in character. I don't think that she has that much power over him.
I would say that after a few years of assimilating the mindset of people he surrounded himself with or he looked up to for whatever reason, Gerard feels discontent or restless and needs to reinvent himself.

Maybe he gets tired of his old adopted self or the selfloathing takes over again and the assimilations are some kind of automatic protective mechanism or it becomes more and more difficult and exhausting to keep up the charade.
It's then when he needs a change.

I also think that piss pot is the reason why he behaves the way he does now.
Gerard andLindsey are merely hanger-ons.
Meat puppets.

Anonymous said...

Or maybe he has multiple personalities he uses at his disposal and no one knows who he really is. Hard to crack a defense mechanism.

Ha! That was me. Sorry.

Actually BC, the term is "try NOT to get your panties in a bunch."

You just lose, every time. In every possible way.

Why do you care so much about BC? You seem to be obsessed. BC is just a person who posts here like the rest of us, so your obsession really makes very little sense.

You claim you don't want her making the rest of us "look like idiots" but that's quite obviously bullshit, because what you are doing is pointing out every single little mistake she makes, which only draws attention to her.

Everyone here knew what BC meant with her comment. She obviously just left out a word by mistake. We've all done that at some point.
Even you, I'd wager. Get over it.
