"I can't stand the thought of Frances becoming the miserable, self-destructive, death rocker that I've become"

It's great when rock stars who drink and have done drugs and maybe still drink, get together to create "rock royalty"..... Congratulations and good luck.

(It's funny how Frances did become that "death rocker" and who encourages her to be that way).

Exactly anon 3.35. And what's even worse about Lynz is that she behaves that way, then claims it's to inspire other girls so they can be just like her.

They don't but Gerard and some MCR/msi fans try to make people think they do by saying it is satire.

Gerard actually said something about art being ugly to show the ugliness of the world. Than msi came out a while later and said we aren't here to save our life we just want your money.

Lynz is that she behaves that way, then claims it's to inspire other girls so they can be just like her.

some people think they are ground breaking because they are doing something not traditionally expected from their gender/race.

they don't realize that in order to break the mold they have to almost prove themselves 1000%

Martha Smith-Jones said...

She isn't doing anything ground breaking for her gender. Strippers and acrobats have don't those thing better I might add in some cases.

A man who sleeps his way to the top is a whore and so is a woman.

Thats not how the majority of the world sees it. A man is praised for sleeping around.

See, we're not talking about the same things here.

A man sleeping around just for the sake of sleeping around is one thing. One who uses wealthy women for money or to advance his career is another. The first one isn't a whore, but the second one is. Think, Keven Federline.

A woman who enjoys sleeping around is vastly different from one who exchanges sex for money or job advancement.

I see nothing wrong with a woman who chooses to have lots of sex with lots of men, so long as she isn't in a committed relationship. More power to her. It's when she does it for the wrong reasons that bothers me. Same goes for a man.

That is fine until they start to think that they are some how empowering themselves and the whole gender by sleeping around.

Judge Says Fox Owns Rights to a Warner Movie

By MICHAEL CIEPLY

LOS ANGELES — In a surprise ruling, a federal judge in Los Angeles said he intended to grant 20th Century Fox’s claim that it owns a copyright interest in the “Watchmen,” a movie shot by Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures and set for release in March.

The decision was disclosed in a five-page written order issued on Wednesday. Gary A. Feess, a judge in the United States District Court for Central California, said he would provide a more detailed order soon.

Fox has been seeking to prevent Warner from releasing the film. The superhero adventure, based on the “Watchmen” graphic novel, is being directed by Zack Snyder (who also directed “300”) and has shaped up as one of most eagerly anticipated releases for next year.

A Warner spokesman, Scott Rowe, declined to comment on the ruling and the studio’s plans.

At an earlier hearing, the judge said he believed that issues in the case could be settled only at a trial, which was scheduled for late January. On Wednesday, however, Judge Feess said he had reconsidered and concluded that Fox should prevail on crucial issues.

“Fox owns a copyright interest consisting of, at the very least, the right to distribute the ‘Watchmen’ motion picture,” the ruling said.

Fox acquired rights to the “Watchmen” graphic novel in the late 1980s for the producer Lawrence Gordon, but eventually dropped its own plan to make a movie from its story, about the underside of life for superbeings.

Mr. Gordon later pursued the project with Universal Pictures, and then with Paramount Pictures, before shooting it with Warner and Legendary under an arrangement that allows Paramount to distribute the film abroad.

In ruling on Wednesday, Judge Feess advised both Fox and Warner to look toward a settlement or an appeal.
“The parties may wish to turn their efforts from preparing for trial to negotiating a resolution of this dispute or positioning the case for review,” he said.

That is fine until they start to think that they are some how empowering themselves and the whole gender by sleeping around.

these are the types that define themselves and their identity by sex.

they are deluding themselves that they are liberated because they enjoy the act or pretend to.

usually you will find that they think they possess no other talent or merit which they can develop.

Regarding the Watchmen decision:

Perhaps the judge is a Dylan fan and the deciding factor (since he changed his mind about letting the case go to trial) was learning that My Chem was desecrating Desolation Row for the film.

Chances are, Fox will just get a cut of the profits, but it would be sweet if they demanded the giant squid be put back in and Dylan's original recording be used in the credits.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

From what I understand Fox was trying to stop this movie from even being made. We will have to see if they let it get released.

The more I think about it the more I wonder if this isn't away to bring more attention to the movie. If Fox let's it come out that is.

Anonymous said...

I've always been very leery about the prospect of Watchmen being turned into a film. Despite the near perfect casting of Patrick Wilson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and yes, even Billy Crudup (whom I despise for personal reasons), I'm just not sure the film will be able to capture the mood and tone of the graphic novel.

The trailers are awesome, but I'm afraid they're going to be the best part about this movie.

Anonymous said...

^And, yes, I realize I'm probably the only person on here who gives a damn.

Haha. I'm used to it, though. MCR fans have never really been into comics/graphic novels, etc., except for TUA, and I wonder how many of them actually like it. I guarantee you that none of them would have bought it had Gerard used a psuedonym.

Anon: what's the deal with Billy Crudup? I don't know much about him and I haven't seen him in anything that I can remember, but you've got me all curious now.

I hope everyone's having a beautiful holiday, no matter what you are celebrating!

Martha Smith-Jones said...

He was in Princess Mononoke, he played Ashitaka.

From 1996 to November 2003, Crudup dated actress Mary-Louise Parker, with whom he had a son, William Atticus Parker, born on January 7, 2004. Crudup left Parker while she was seven months pregnant. Widespread speculation was that Crudup left Parker for his Stage Beauty co-star Claire Danes. In 2004, Danes and Crudup confirmed that they were dating, but denied the press reports that they were together at the time of Crudup's split with Parker.

I think Billy Crudup and Claire Danes denied it initally, but nobody believed them so eventually they came clean:

Looking at pics and vids of Lin back when she first joined the band (like the infamous Panty Shot vid), it looked like she played better back then than she does (did?) now.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

If Lindsey really does know how to play that just make the whole situation sadder. She can play but doesn't. Now she is teaching young female MCR fans that you don't have to know how to play.

Anonymous said...

She probably tried a lot harder back then, or atleast tried to make it seem as though she was trying, seeing as she was newer to the band and maybe felt like she had something to prove. Nowadays, she is a goddess and can do no wrong with the fangirls, so why on earth would she put any effort into it?

dropping in to wish everyone who frequents this blog a merry christmas and a safe and happy holiday.

just a suggestion:

i know quite a few of you are angrily venting about what has transpired.

this woman does not deserve your constant attention. she has obviously married into a comfortable existence and cemented it with the pregnancy. they want to be together - so be it.

you can counter these naysayers by; keeping on trying new things, improving your skills and trust in your abilities, respecting the achievements of others, trying to be tolerant and kind, developing yourselves.

in the end, after all that is said about them, your life is in your hands and no band or what they seem to represent, can ever change this.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

5.33 that is nice and all. Yes they are together and nothing we say will change that. This isn't about trying to get them to break up because even if they did it wouldn't change what has happened.

I am pissed that I spent money on that band, I am pissed that now every time I turn around some untalented women is being given the key to the world because of who she fucks, I am pissed that intolerant asshole get to run wild with out question because they are in a band and I am pissed off about people saying I shouldn't give a fuck about the dumb asses in the world. Ignore them and they will go away. No they won't they will keep multiply and think nothing of their assholery because people won't say shit to them.

I know my life is in my own hands but is it to much to expect that a person who says that they believe in equality for all to really mean it. Why should they get off so easy for misrepresenting themselves.

In the end I m going to keep on venting my anger until I have gotten it out of my system. Why should they be the only ones allowed to voice their feelings,

Anonymous said...

I applaud you, MJ.

I don't think many of us come here with the intent to try and change Gerard, Lindsey, or the other members of MCR. We know that's not likely and even if they did change at this point, it wouldn't matter to us anymore because we're done with the band.

I think most of us are intelligent enough to know that we can't change others' behavior. We can only change ourselves and one of the ways we are changing ourselves is that we will no longer stand idly by and shell out our hard earned money to a group of people who duped us into thinking they were someone they were not.

Contrary to what many believe, most of us aren't obsessed with MCR and we don't spend all of our time here. We have lives outside of this blog, but we enjoy coming here from time to time to read and discuss opinions with like-minded individuals who don't tell us to shut up and gtfo.

Eventually, most of us will get MCR completely out of our systems and will stop coming around. A lot of us already have. But, for now, I enjoy having a place to rant and vent and to enjoy some conversation with people who share my views.

I agree that Lindsey doesn't deserve my attention and, trust me, she gets very little of it. Gerard doesn't deserve my attention either, yet he did get quite a bit of it in years past, which angers me. Coming here and sharing that anger helps me feel better and I'm sure others here feel the same way.

So, we appreciate your trying to help, but most of us are doing quite well and we don't really need it.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

thank you 7.43 but I think you said way better and much nicer than I did

Anonymous said...

he stated he wanted to "find a cave and live there for the rest of his life".

the person who conducted the interview actually implied his penis wasn't too bad. it made me laugh.

with the hs thing, maybe that was his way of getting emotional separation from the rest of the simpsons clan.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Could be but there has to have been a better way. Now he just seems like a low life for doing that.

Anonymous said...

i agree.

maybe he is not that emotionally mature, got fed up, or just doesn't know any other way.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Or he is just trying to be one of the guys. Oh look I am getting laid and I have to tell the world. It looks like Pete and Gerard are taking advice from the same book on how to deal with your sex life.

Anonymous said...

that in itself is not extraordinary.

most adults get laid. however some adults still think like teenagers.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Or people close to them might b saying that they don't seem happy and going on about how great the sex is, is their way of proving that they should be together.

Because great sex always equals love. Great sex means you should spend your whole life with person even if you have nothing else in common.

Anonymous said...

hmmm...i think people get confused. they think if they are having lots of sex it equates love.

a good relationship is a lot more, and great sex can be a part of it.

however with love it's more about sticking with that person through the good and bad, looking after them in their time of need, being one of their dearest friends.

you can have all the sex you like, but it's hardest to find someone who really loves you.

i think people in the entertainment industry get mixed up with all the stuff going on around them, the sensitive ones, that is.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I think people who are desperate thing sex is the answer to great relationship.

You can learn to be good in bed especial for someone you love. Learn how to be good in a relationship is a lot harder.

Once the lust is gone you might want to have someone you like spending time outside of the bedroom with.

Anonymous said...

absolutely, learning to be in a good relationship is harder...it's a balance of your needs and their needs.

some people think that if they no longer lust for someone, they no longer love them. they don't realize it could be something much deeper.

Anonymous said...

Gerard has always gone out of his way to draw attention to the "family jewels". I suppose when nearly everything about you screams "female" you want to draw attention to the one or two parts that say otherwise.

In Gerard's case, that would be his "jewels", his wide back (ever notice how wearing a jean or leather jacket makes your back look bigger?) and his complete lack of ass (which he seems to be oddly proud of, considering how tight he wears his pants).

Anonymous said...

My God, there is really nothing to see! I think it's the only way to draw attention to his worm.

I think that's the first step to total decadence!
Letting a poor monkey dance for your own pleasure just because you can and just because you have the money and feel like it?
Did someone tell PETA?
Or are they only interested in animal cruelty if real celebrities are involved and otherwise don't really care if they can't get a headline out of it?

And yes, people did contact PETA, but like Siobhan said, they only care about real celebrities. Gerard and the Misses don't even qualify as D-listers.

Anonymous said...

Gerard's been sporting that bald spot for a while. It's probably the reason he's been doing the Elvis pouf as of late.

From all the pictures I've seen of his dad, he's not bald, he just has that general, allover thinning that makes any kind of hairstyle impossible. I'd say by the time Gerard is 35 he'll look the same.

Can you imagine running your fingers through his greasy, stinky hair?
Gosh, why do I torture myself with such visuals? I must be a masochist!

Anonymous said...

It looks to me like Gerard is experiencing Female Pattern Baldness, if anything. His hair just looks thin allover rather than the Male Pattern of the receding hairline and bald spot in the back.

The fact that you can see his scalp in that picture isn't good. Normally, if you have a full head of thick, healthy hair, you can't see the scalp no matter how greasy or dirty it is.

We would give them to much credit by saying that they alone made MCR to what they're now.
It also would victimize Gerard and his lot again. And as we all know he loves to be seen as the victim who had no choice!
It began way earlier that I personally realized that it was all a big hoax and that they even didn't really care about covering up their lies.

celebrities do like to scream out their affection. tom cruise with his couch, Pete and his amazzzzzzzzzing sex life, and he who shall not be named, with his dearly beloved wife.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

And that screaming only causes problems for them

Anonymous said...

yes, it sure does

but maybe they don't see it that way. maybe their wives enjoy the public bragging.

if it were me, as soon as they cross that door, they'd better watch out, cause things are gonna be thrown in their general direction *laughs*

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I don't think I could share my love life or my lover with others even his fans. I would keep it quiet that we were together. Because i wouldn't want to date the famous person. I also can't stand people kissing up to me. I hate that shit when people act all nice to you because they want something from you. That is what the fan sheep are doing. They don't care about you just who you are fucking.

Than there is the being stuck in that person shadow. I would want to be known for my work not my famous lovers.

And who the fuck wants a bunch of fans following you around to get a picture of you kissing or doing what ever.

Anonymous said...

martha that's the fame game. they ass kiss you for what they think they can get out of you. my number one pet peeve.

and i don't think it's just restricted to fans, i think they're surrounded by ass kissers, even the ones you would never expect to be ass kissers.

and i don't know about the sharing, i think it's more like they keep on getting pulled in a different direction to you. just a load of fake bs.

i think it's just would be hard to live a normal life.

they could always end up with someone who is in the industry and understands the lifestyle, but sometimes i don't know if that's necessarily better.

it could be a conflict of time, money and egos.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I was thinking if I was in the industry I would still feel that way. I would think the fan ass kissers would be the worst because you start to believe them.

A normal life wouldn't be easy that is why I would do all I could to have one with my partner.

Anonymous said...

i don't know martha. i suppose if you have a problem with how secure you feel within yourself you may start believing the "over the top" love by the fans.

but these people don't know the "true" you, just what was constructed for them.

it's hard to say. people don't really know how they would react unless they experience it themselves.

and about the "normal" life, if they can achieve that, it would help how they cope with what's going on around them.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Everyone wants to be loved or feel loved. It is something that once you get a taste for it you want more. Even a persons who is secure with themselves can fall into that trap.

Anonymous said...

yes, a secure person can fall into that trap, however it's more likely that it's starts off filling some gap, and then it is constantly reinforced.

some people are more prone than others to be sensitive to this.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

It takes a strong person not to fall for those traps. Most famous people don't appear to be strong

Anonymous said...

that's probably why they seek this sort of recognition

they want people on the outside to tell them what they don't feel on the inside

maybe the best partner for a famous person is the strong, quiet type

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Or maybe they should use some of their money to get some therapy.

Anonymous said...

that too

if it helps

somehow i think the best therapy is being around those that truly understand you

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Unless the people who truly understand you are people who enable your bad habits. I think you need people who understand you but who will also tell you off.

Anonymous said...

the ones that enable you are not the ones that truly understand you.

the ones that truly understand you are the ones that will do what's best for you; including calling you out.

To bad most people don't see it that way.

Anonymous said...

no, most don't

it's just an easy road to take

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Holy fucking shit it's 37 F where I am right now.

Anonymous said...

better get cozy somewhere

i have to go now. nice chat martha

goodnight

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Goodnight

The problem with famous people is that there's always somebody around who is more than happy to enable them.

Interesting: MSI no longer have Leathermouth in their top friends.
Leathermouth no longer have MSI on their blog. Hmmm.

Anonymous said...

It's because MSI used Leathermouth to pull in the MCR teenies while Lindsey wasn't there. The tours now over and they don't need them anymore.

Anonymous said...

Whatever, anon!
After all, they're still touring together, aren't they?!

Anonymous said...

Leathermouth sucks. Frank should stick to the guitar instead of screaming into a mic like a retard.

Anonymous said...

I think he was fed up being only No 2.
Also, his guitar playing sucks as well!

Martha Smith-Jones said...

It wasn't a tour it was 4 shows but Lm still helped out msi and that is what really matters.

Anonymous said...

I just think people should stop hoping that miraculously the idiots of MCR will come to their senses and discontinue their amicable relations to MSI.
It's not gonna happen!
They showed us many times now that they're supporting them and their mind-set.
They've become friends.
The end.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Even if they did realise their stupidity the damage is already done.

Anonymous said...

I have no feelings about this whatsoever.

Anonymous said...

One thing I do find funny, though, is that I haven't heard anyone in the media complaining about the song Mark David Chapman.

It's kind of like the non-bottling incident. MSI is such a non-blip on anyone's radar screen so nobody cares what they do.

Anonymous said...

Even if they did realise their stupidity the damage is already done.

That's exactly what I wanted to say.
No offense to that anon who told us about LM not having MSI on their top friends list anymore and vice versa but that always gives the impression to me that some people would easily forgive and forget about what happened if only MCR would appear as repentant sinners.
Not saying that this anon would be one of those people though.

Anonymous said...

The whole "friends" list thing on myspace is nothing more than a marketing tool. It's business, bb.
That's all.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

It maybe a marketing tool but they still had to okay who go on as their top friends.

Anonymous said...

I just visited their MySpace.
Man, that really says a lot that only Frank's face can be seen on their band pic and that the others are all wearing bunny masks.
Way to show who's the important person in this band!
LM must be a huge ego boost for him.
Also, they have filthy skank Tila Tequila on their friends list.
Famewhores united!!!

They also don't have MCR on their top list. As if that would change anything.
He could as well use a MCR template for this site because that's the only reason why people are interested in them.

Anonymous said...

I agree that Leathermouth is all about Frank. Even the fucking bunnymasks make me think "Frank" because of Donnie Darko.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

LM and MCR were suppose to be kept separate. Until the whole msi thing. What gets me about that where people kept saying they didn't have a choice about going out with msi. They aren't as well know so they can't just say no.

First LM and msi aren't on the same label. Lm is on a label that is known while msi isn't unless they recently went to one. LM has Frank from MCR, a member of MCR not just someone fucking a member.

Anonymous said...

I mean, what's the point in starting a band in the first place?
It could be Frank & Leathermouth or Frank & the Leathermouth orchestra.
Bwahahahahahahahahaha

Thereby everyone would immediately know that it's all about Frankie boy and that the others are mere extras.

Anonymous said...

Frank and the Frankaires? Frank and the Pips? Frankie and the Jets? Frankie and the Pussycats?

Anonymous said...

Frank and the Frankensteins.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I'm not going to fault Frank for starting his own band and being the center of it. With Gerard in MCR I think it is hard for anyone else to have a say or get their ideas heard.

Anonymous said...

I really don't think that Gerard is that strong. And I also don't think that the others don't have anything to say in MCR.
I really think that Frank wanted to have the same attention as Gerard has as the frontman of the band.

Frank & the Farians? What do you think?

Martha Smith-Jones said...

It's not about being strong, it's about doing what it takes till people given in and give you what you want.

Even if they have a say in MCR Lm is still what Frank wants to do he is the front man it was his idea. It isn't anything new, lots of people do it.

Anonymous said...

Frank & the Farians?

Haha. I like. They would probably do a wicked cover of Girl You Know It's True. ^_^

Anonymous said...

I know that people in bands sometimes start their own bands, MJ! I don't live under a rock!

I just find it so ridiculous that Frank obviously doesn't want to be associated with MCR and wants to make it on his own.
Yet, it seems as if he's only drawing attention to himself and not to the others in the band.
He can't expect people to forget about him being a member of MCR or at least trying to judge his music unbiased when he uses his MCR fame to make people curious about the band.
I for one think that he should be the one wearing that bunny masks and not the others.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I wasn't trying to say you didn't know those things Siobhan.

Even if he did put on a mask they would still single him out. Unless he had like a Jonas brother in the band he is going to be the center of attention. He can either accept it and use it to get what he wants or get mad about it.

Anonymous said...

He can either accept it and use it to get what he wants or get mad about it.

He doesn't have to get mad but he also shouldn't use it to get what he wants.
How different would he be from someone like Lindsey if he uses MCR to become successful with his band?

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Did he fuck his way into the spot light no. He is a member of MCR and would be using his own hard work in MCR to get LM established.

That is way different from what Lindsey is doing. She isn't a part of MCR but is using the fact that she fucks the lead singer to get noticed.

Anonymous said...

I think anybody in a band will use anything they can to get their name and music out there, whether it's being in another band, who they're fucking, who they're related to, you name it.

You all are holding MCR's members and MSI up to ridiculously high standards that nobody can live up to.

Anonymous said...

Er... I think it's the same thing!

Two people in bands who suck big time with their music try to get their piece of the fame cake by being linked to a successful band.

It doesn't matter to me if one of them is boinking the lead singer and the other one is a member of that successful band himself.
They both would never get that kind of attention with their crappy bands if it wasn't for their connection to MCR.

Anonymous said...

I think, anon, that the problem is that MCR set those standards themselves. Just go back and read some of their early interviews.

I would wager a guess that most people don't care who you sleep with or how you act etc.--in my case all I do is laugh at assheaded rodeo clowns such as MSI--but hypocrisy will get your ass nailed to the wall.
