In the time since I posted last, Gerard rented a monkey for LynZ, totally forgetting his support of PETA and animal rights. Jimmy Urine declared Gerard his best friend. The Black Parade Is Dead came out and everyone in the band thanked everyone, except Gerard who thanked LynZ, and then his parents as an after thought. Gerard moved to LA where he was seen with his new "posse" of friends, meaning LynZ, Jimmy Urine and his wife. A few more interviews came and went where he promoted MSI. And recently he wrote a message to MySpace trying to say how everything was cool with the band, yet what it really comes down to is Frank is touring with his other band, Bob just got our of surgery, no mention of whta Mikey is working on, and he doesn't know where Ray is. He also hinted that he is going to go see an upcoming MSI show, which is funny because of all of LynZ's protests that she doesn't want fans to go to their show just to see Gerard.
I feel really bad for the rest of the band now that Jimmy Urine and LynZ are Gerard's best friends. Didn't his band see him through the worst times, when he was suicidal didn't they pull him up from rock bottom? Now they are tossed aside for "inspirational" MSI.
Have I forgotten anything? I think there was more but I can't remember it.
This is mostly just to give you all some new space to talk.
It's really good to know that there are people out there who see through their pathetic facade.

Old news I know, but that blog she posted on 9/11, about the cities burning and dead grandmothers, I could immediately tell it was about GW. My curiosity got the best of me and I messaged her about it on myspace, asking what inspired (or whatever, don't remember exact words) that blog. She just said she was really happy etc etc.
I didn't press the issue any further (probably wouldn't have gotten anything more anyway), but I would still like to know what exactly was behind it.
Revenge sold 2½ million worldwide, so they've shipped about 6 million units in total. They're probably very well off compared to your average 30 year olds, but if he keeps spunking away his cash on monkeys (and coke?) Gerard's going to find himself with a rapidly emptying bank account pretty darn soon.
There's no doubt that everyone in the band has money, but they aren't rich I'm sure. After paying the record company back (for videos, album production, ect)along with their lawyers, accountants, bodyguards ect...I would bet they each have close to half a mill. Which is a lot more then I have sure! But the above commenter is right, if Gerard doesn't start thinking seriously about how to curb his (or the wifey's) spending he'll find himself selling carnations on a freeway. I highly doubt Lyn Z would be the one to take care of him if his money suddenly was gone and she was required to be the bread winner.
He has his comic book,but there isn't a lot of money in the comic book world. I know there was some talk about someone buying up the rights to TUA and making a movie but I honestly don't see that happening. Look how long it took to get Watchmen made. Frank seems to be the smartest having formed his company on the side. If I had to guess I'd guess that Frank is probably the wealthiest member of MCR.

I'd say Ray - despite the band's claims that they write everything together, I'm convinced he does the lion's share of the songwriting so gets the majority of the publishing. If Frank set Skeleton Crew up as a moneymaking venture surely he'd have promoted it more via MCR, like Pete Wentz does with FOB and Clandestine?
At least we agree that wifey-poo is unlikely to want to be the main breadwinner once the money goes - in fact I doubt she'd stick around at all..

I confess I love TUA. I'm a huge comic book nerd and so are all my friends. Most of my friends like TUA too, but a lot of them don't think Gerard "writes" it. They try and tell me that he just comes up with the concepts and ideas and gives it to the people at Dark Horse and some editor writes all the dialogue and stuff. I don't believe that myself, but a whole lot of people out there do. So being famous doesn't always help.

I was intrigued by TUA and enjoyed the first 5 issues. I thought the characters were original and while I was fuming at the way Gerard was acting I still thought the comic was good. However, the finale was the shittiest writing ever! I was so dissapointed with the ending.

I don't know exactly is wrong with Gerard, but I do agree that he's definitely missing something. A few screws, self esteem, self-respect - may be all of those. I am beginning to realise that I don't seem to care anymore. The hurt and betrayal I used to feel when I first realised I had been fooled by him has lessened these past few months and I feel I owe some of that to this blog.
I still can't listen to the music and probably never will again. It just doesn't give me the same feelings it used to.

yeah, i know he made bad choices and all of that could have been prevented if he only took the time to really get to know these women before he got involved with him, but i can't help but feel sorry him anyway. he must be really desperate not to be alone.

I've been telling people that Gerard is fucked up for a long time now. I've never really believed the whole clean and sober in two weeks story that he's been putting out there for years. It just seemed too easy.
If those are indeed scars, they look more like a failed suicide attempt to me. I have a close family member who attempted to slash her wrists and the scars are very similar.
I really do worry about Gerard. The decisions he's made in is personal life over the past two years just seem to keep getting worse. I don't know how he'll react if this thing with Lindsey falls apart. All we can do is hope for the best.
what makes me worry the most for Gerard is Lindsey and her influence on him. Gerard has never looked as bad as he does right now. he looks withdrawn and very unhealthy. it's sad.
Yes, he does look bad. At Comic Con he looked so tired and haggard. He looked a bit more rested at Dragon Con, but he was just so frail and thin.
I hesitate to blame it on Lindsey, though. I fear that he's experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Lindsey may very well be contributing to that, but who knows?
I do think their relationship will eventually fall apart and the thing I worry about most is that by then he will have driven away everyone else who cares for him and he'll be left with no support system.
i think you have to blame lindsey for isolating him from his friends and family. my gut feeling is she got him back on either alcohol or drugs, maybe both.
I think Gerard knows what is going on. I think he is fighting with himself to keep happy. But it is coming up to the surface. He is going to fall but i hope he can pull himself up.
It isn't unheard of. A women starters dating a member of a band and problems start. She tells him he is the only important person. You can leave those other no talent losers they are just bringing you down. As she sticks her hands down his pants.

In the guy's defence, I don't think they're scars from a suicide attempt - I'm a veiny girl (too much time in the gym!) and in the Summer the heat makes those suckers really pop out on my forearms so they can look a bit like healed cuts.

it's to release the internal pressure that builds up inside them, or a coping mechanism. they are really battling with their depressive illness.
i've watched a friend suffer and it is so heartbreaking.
He wasn't trying to cove it up. He was trying to call attention to it. Gerard loves being the self obsessed martyr. He loves the "aww poor baby" syndrome. That's the kind of attention he craves.
Let's hope he gets help before he gets much worse although with the company he's keeping these days, I doubt it. He's on a slippery slope down.

i don't think that at all. Gerard has never talked about it and it's only since someone zoomed in on that picture that it's been known. if he wanted sympathy he would have talked about slashing his wrist in past interviews.

I went because I'm a big MSI fan.
Gerard was backstage. He was at the very back, so you couldn't see him from the pit. I was 1 of the 2 people who got on stage for Faggot, and me and the other guy went to the side very briefly after the song, and I saw him. Although I must say I was more focused on spazzing out with Chantal and Frances Bean. They were like "AHHH" and we were like "AHHHH". I could die happy right now.

Or hey, maybe he was a little nervous by a sweaty little Pikachu, lol.

it's well know that LynZ plays along to a backing track.
So, I'm happy that Gerard went back to black, according to that one MSI fan.
But aside from that I just wanted to comment on the cutting statements. Alright he probably did self inflict, but honestly, its not a suprise. I'm more nervous when it comes to him potentially using drugs and alcohol again. And to that one poster, I do understand your point, it did seem that sometimes after Gerard said he was "sober" he would act like the total oppisite on stage. Especially after he was with Lyn-Z and even before that, I kind of wondered if he was drinking again when The Black Parade came out and such, but I attributed that to him being really happy, from a natural high. But as of now, I don't know what to make of it.
I just really hope that he's fine. Although, I do feel that before he achieves that, more terrible things will continue to happen to him. It's just karma. He's done a lot of negative things and from what I can see, he has hurt plently of people.

It was the Anaheim show. I doubt she goes to all of them. And she and Chantal were spazzing out, so I don't think he was trying to be ~cool~ by being indifferent.
And he wasn't really "non-responsive". He kind of moved his mouth, like a nervous smile.
As for Lyn, no, not that I remember. She did a few backbends and jumps, but I don't think she stagedived or crowdsurfed. I was pretty much right in front of her while I was in the crowd (first half of their set), and didn't notice anything like *that*.
And well, the bassist backstage must've had super psychic powers to play a note EXACTLY when she hit the strings. Come on, she's been playing for 7 years, and easy MSI songs at that. She is a shitty player, but a PLAYER nonetheless. Get over it.
And just because there might be a backing track doesn't mean that she isn't playing. Pretty much every MSI song has one to make all the techno sounds, and it's not like they try to hide it. It'd be pretty ridiculous of them to deny that.

After I saw MCR at PR it felt like the old Gerard was dead. He was such an ass. I'd seen My Chem half a dozen times before and he never acted the way he did on that tour. At the time I didn't know about LynZ yet.
I don't think we'll get the old Gerard back. I think he's gone for good. After watching the jerk onstage last year I don't even think I want him back because I could never believe in him again.
And you have to wonder if when the new record comes out (if it comes out) what lengths the label will go to to try and restore what was destroyed by Gerard's actions. The problem is, like you said, no matter what Gerard does now to change none of us will believe it because we've already been dooped by the a-hole.
I think they'll try and pass everything off a "confidence", Gerard might (for the sake of money and fame) pull the "I was in a bad place and my wife helped me realise that I was wrong" thing or try and reappeal to the teenies of the future. Although that will fail because they're FAR to old. I don't think they're old but the teenies will. Plus, Gerard is rapidly losing his looks, Mikey is losing his hairline, Bob and Ray aren't pin up material in the eyes of fickle girls and Frank......I doubt he'll be back.
Yes, I think Gerard will show up with some elaborate "life-altering" story to tell for the next record. With Bullets it was 9/11, with Revenge it was the death of his grandmother, with TBP it was the break-up of his "six-year relationship that was practically marriage" (only he left out the part about how that one was caused by his cheating with Eliza). And oh, yeah, Mikey's pesky emotional breakdown, although you almost have to laugh about how he actually managed to make that one seem to be about him (he was so distraught without his brother he couldn't write and so depressed he didn't shower for days, lol). Puh-lease.
Thing is, I don't really give a shit about his life crises anymore. I don't buy into them like I used to and I don't think other fans will either, because he's shown us just how much of an asshole and a liar he really is.
