Have you seen Wuthering Heights yet, or Rock N Rolla? Or Elizabeth the Virgin Queen? :D I think you'll like them.

Anonymous said...

Some dense twit is re-posting your comments at Mayo's Kap.

Hocking said...

how far is Hoboken from New York? Is it possible for him to have been in both places?

Anonymous said...

Who cares? It's all water under the bridge now. You know what they're really like so it's pointless discussing it over and over.

Anonymous said...

So where were we? I think it was about Tom Hardy.

oh yeah

kapunua said...

"Dense twit" about sums it up. Well, let them. Who cares? Bunch of jerkies. I didn't even really say anything aside from the usual (MCR = a bunch of liars, Tom Hardy = hot.) Fail to see how that's a big deal to them.

Anonymous said...

Kapu, it's Wendy. She was lurking here (as suspected) and then when she saw people talking about her bad 80s band she copied and pasted it so that she could answer you over there. Without actually mentioning YOU and instead saying "SOME PEOPLE" in response to what she copied from here.

She's a twit.

kapunua said...

Oh well, no big.

Anonymous said...

To be honest I'm the one who originally posted the thing about Motley Crue sucking. I had a feeling that Wendy was the troll here and that she wouldn't be able to keep her mouth shut about it so I was trying to see if I could flush her out. Guess it worked.

kapunua said...

Ehh, whatevs. That's my opinion about Motley Crue and a lot of those 80s bands anyway. This really shouldn't be such a huge deal. If we're being honest, Warrant was terrible. I feel bad about Jani Lane, but the band just wasn't any good. I saw them live once (on accident) and they were playing along with a track. They still sucked.

Anonymous said...

Oh wait. She actually IS addressing you. She's just calling you "7:53" which, if you look here, that's exactly when you posted. Is she afraid to say your name?

kapunua said...

I'm Voldemort. ^_^

Anonymous said...

Tom Hardy = hot

You can say that again...

Anonymous said...

I don't understand why Wendy gets so inflamed with what you have to say Kapunua. It's not like you're trying to take her precious hair bands away from her.

Anonymous said...

You realize by "trapping" Wendy, you are giving her the attention you don't want her to have.

Um, clever.

Can we just ignore them now, finally? This crap is so old. If they want to lurk and troll, whatever. Ignore. Ignore. Ignore. Eventually it works and the irritating comments stop. Remember the few periods here where there weren't any troll-like comments? Continually responding too, or now as 9:30 is owning too, baiting them -you are just bringing more bullshit here. Could you please just grow up and rise above? So maybe they will get bored and might do the same. That would be great. I think we are also forgetting that Kapu has spoken out at MCR/MSI on her personal sites, and may have made some fangirl/enemies that know about this place as well. But by constantly blaming the "Mayo" people for any comments you don't like, you bring them here too. If Kapu can let it go and ignore them, then I think the rest of us should be able to do the same. Don't sink to such a shitty level, 9:30. That behavior makes you like them.

kapuna, I watched Wuthering Heights not because of Tom Hardy (I didn't know who ha was back then) but because I like the book, but when I saw him it was a bit difficult to concentrate on the story. He really is just delicious.

Anonymous said...

A bit of T Hard in the morning starts the day off well.

Anonymous said...

Wendy was here already. I just wanted to make her reveal that it was actually her, and I did. Maybe now that she knows we all know she's the troll, she'll quit. That was the point.

I don't understand why you idiots harp on about sexism, blah, blah, blah, boring...and then continuously go on about how hawt Tom Hardy is?

Fangirls much?

Anonymous said...

What has finding someone cute and attractive have to do with being against sexism etc?

Anonymous said...

I'm so sorry that we don't find your idols hawt 10:01 but there are plenty of others that do so I suggest that you go read their blogs.

kapunua said...

Please explain to me how that is sexist. Oh, really, do explain it. I can't wait for this, actually, because I guarantee you that you have no idea what "sexism" is and I can't wait to school your dumb ass.

If I were you, I wouldn't be calling anyone an idiot, seeing as how you don't even know what the definition of sexism is...

Lol, Kapunua! Great minds think alike, and apparently at the same time!

Better sexy and racy than sexist and racist. ^_^

What more can you expect from some of these MCR fans. Some of them are so ignorant and reflect the people they idolize.

Anonymous said...

What does HCT stand for?

Anonymous said...

Honda Civic Tour

they're probably not breaking up, but this does fit with how they said they'd tour less on this album.

Guess that's what happens when you're no longer a drunk living on the road and you have designer bag crazy wife and overexcited child to come home to.

bet those young Lyn-z supporters are thrilled by now.

Lets cross our fingers, hope they take a very long break and forget to come back.

Anonymous said...

To the "who cares"-anon. Last time I checked this was a place where people would come to (also) talk about MCR and I, for one, think that their break-up would be a very interesting information which should be celebrated (if true).

So, if you don't care then why don't you go elsewhere?

kapunua said...

I would celebrate their break-up too. But I also don't think that it would mean they would all STFU and go away with their misogyny and racism. They'd still be the same, loudmouthed, ignorant people, with a different vehicle for their hate.

That good thing is that the MCRmy people might grow the hell up a little.

Anonymous said...

Wait. How do you know the print interview where Gerard talks about 9/11 is real? Because it says he was on the way to a Cartoon Network meeting about Breakfast Monkey and after that he wasn't interested in it anymore, but I'm sure he has said that Breakfast Monkey got turned down, not that he quit it. Also he said he was on the way to work and Brian said he was on a ferry in LOTMS, not train.

But anyway, he says he was on the way to NY, which means he could have been in Hoboken. Not that it matters because you'll just twist it to say he was lying anyways.

I believe him.

So you'd sooner believe that someone made up an entire interview with him--risking their careers in journalism--than believe that a known liar lied about more things?

Oooookayyyyy.

If they break up what do you think he'll do apart from his comics? I'm thinking he will probably team up with his best buds Urine and the other fool.

It's very difficult to believe someone who appears to be a consistent liar and even if eventually they may telling the truth the propensity to think they are still lying sticks.

Anonymous said...

Is it possible that their contract with Reprise/WBR wasn't renewed after Danger Days failed to sell? I could almost believe they're calling it quits if it weren't for all the money they owe their record company. I think they'll be touring on Danger Days for another year at least, then maybe release the album they originally scrapped.

Anonymous said...

that scrapped album is most likely never getting released now, they'd have to pay Bob for his writing credits, and since DD tanked that's not interesting financially.

Anonymous said...

I don't think DD failed to sell because of the type of music they created. I think they needed to make something like this album or be forever locked by their past image and success. I had the impression the label endorsed it seeing they had the same producer. I think they are caught in the times we that live in, in so far as selling their music. It's a new frontier and the ground is constantly shifting for everyone, businesses and people that work for them. I also think it was an error in judgment when they decided to get chummy with a band lacking any credibility imo, like MSI.

Anonymous said...

One big massive error...
Sometimes I sit and wonder about this whole Danger Days project and what will become of them after this whole project is done. Mcr believe it or not, is supposed to be a band all about longevity and shit. They're not supposed to go anywhere for a very long time. I mean they are supposed to be really annoying always there and always on tv and radio but this (Danger Days) thing. I used to like Mcr very much now this thing comes out and idk.
I am not american, but I think you get the point.

Anonymous said...

I don't get the point.

Anonymous said...

Well let me break it down for your ignorant ass. I'm saying, I use to like them but now, I don't. They've changed. I had respect for them as songwriters back then. I don't have interest in that style/type of music. I listened to them for many years of my life. They had spunk... with DD, not so much. The fire that was there, isn't there anymore... Do you understand me now ? I tried to make it as simple as possible just for you.

Anonymous said...

No need to have an attitude 11:34. You could have said the same thing without being condescending.

Aren't you adding your own brand of elitism by saying that?

Anonymous said...

I think MCR have been past their sell by date for a long time. They have nothing to offer the music world. They should just disappear but I don't think they will. They'll probably spit out records until their entire fan base abandons them, you know, milk it for all it's worth.

Anonymous said...

Well that's no different to any other long term band.

Anonymous said...

I cannot believe the hysteria surrounding their rumored possible break up.

Anonymous said...

I think it's very telling that Gerard originally said that he decided he didn't want to do Breakfast Monkey because it was "too commercial". Later on, it came out that Breakfast Monkey actually got turned down.

What I don't understand is how that makes a case for people to believe him. He was caught in a lie right there, so why should we believe anything he ever said after that?

Anonymous said...

I doubt they're breaking up Gerard announced in Chicago that'd they'd be working on a new album after the HCT. I think they still have a lot of music in them. Most of the people on this blog have a problem with the band as people, not neccessarily a problem with their music. A lot of you used to be fans. I think they can still write/make good music, I'm looking forward to another album. Hopefully it'll be more bullets/three cheers sounding.

Anonymous said...

That would be clever marketing on their part then. Make an album to shatter the emo tag then go back and make an album in a similar style to what made them successful to please their fans. Most bands have an experimental album to break their cliche image then come back with stuff like "oh, we found who we really were, blah blah blah..." or "we matured as a band and discovered our heart blah blah blah"

Anonymous said...

He'll probably come out with stuff like "we were denying our punk roots on DD so we made a punk album cause we're a punk band..."rah rah rah.

Anonymous said...

Or maybe they discovered that they can't be who they're not and if people don't like them, well it's tough titty.

Anonymous said...

Whatever they do I hope they don't start back with the "we support feminism" speeches because I can just see Kapunua wanting to plant a few karate chops on their asses.

Anonymous said...

Hey now, Gerard supports feminism. His racist wife calls herself a feminist! She's performing songs about five year olds being raped 'to inspire' all the little girls out there!

Anonymous said...

His wife is a dingbat! Next.

Anonymous said...

She's a little worse than that. I can't think of a strong enough word for the sort of person who finds the rape of children funny. It's disgusting to think that she has a child of her own.

Anonymous said...

The abuse of children is no laughing matter and should not be used in any satirical context, or part of shock tactics or freedom of speech objectives.

Anonymous said...

The song Panty Shot makes me feel physically sick.

Anonymous said...

It troubles me when people can't see there is something inherently wrong with the whole premise of this "song" and explain it away as it's intent is to shock, but in doing so trivialize acts that can impact severely on the lives of those that suffer through these experiences.

Anonymous said...

he tells both stories when he talks about the Breakfast Monkey, one is to make him sound like a 'true artist' -- I didn't want them to make loads off my designs by putting the monkey on merchandise!-- and another, in the same breath, to make himself sound like a victim: Cartoon Network didn't want my show because they had another show that, really, was nothing like MY show (it was.)

However both are shot to shit considering the guy he created BM with is now milking that little cartoon for all it's worth to relaunch his career.

Anonymous said...

What are you talking about 6:23? The co-creator is doing what now?

I think some of you are forgetting that some people can (and simply are) easily lead by others. I feel LynZ appears to be this kind of person. She tends to best put her foot in her mouth when sitting next to JU. Something that is so obvious it should be taken into consideration when discussing her flaws. Alone, without the company of such a shameless, careless and atrocious person (J.U.), I believe LynZ would be horrirfied by most of what she has said publicly. Especially if she is given the time (away from J.U.) to think about the truly devistating affects of (for example) a tsunami. She appears to be a disaster in interviews. It is no excuse for what her words imply, but she could be the sort to want to "appear cool" (like J.U. aim during every interview) and she could be so nervous that she says the worst possible thing imaginable.

Again, I'm not trying to make excuses for the girl. More often than not her words make me feel ill. I'm just saying there could be more going on than she's just scum. Just a theory though.

Anonymous said...

Nah, I'm pretty sure she's just a disgusting bigoted person. Gerard married a woman just like him ;)

Anonymous said...

They're both winning in the stupid stakes ^_^

Anonymous said...

Anyone who considers JU "cool" has gotta have rocks in their head.

Anonymous said...

Lindsey's demeanor is very flippant in interviews when she's with JU. She doesn't answer anything seriously, and she seems to be throwing off an "I'm too cool to give a shit" vibe.

Incidentally, I noticed that Gerard acted the same way right after the two of them got together (see that video interview Siobhan posted on the previous page where he talks about 9/11). I'd never seen him act that arrogant and flippant before (and that interview took place very soon after he married Lindsey).

I think it's pretty sad when people in their mid-thirties change their personalities to reflect the attitudes of people around them. You expect that kind of behavior from teenagers, not grown-ups. But then I don't think they ever grew up.

Anonymous said...

They all just enable and feed off each other to the point where they're in this cycle of trying to be more shocking and 'edgy' with their opinions and 'art'.

Anonymous said...

Gerard did start acting really arrogant right after he hooked up with LynZ/MSI. That was the main thing that put me off him at first. When I watched that PR interview with Stephen from SURS it was like he was a totally different person and I did not like the person he had turned into.

Anonymous said...

It's looooove, it's all you need, loooove makes you STRONGER, who needs fans, respect or integrity when you've got loooooooove?

Anonymous said...

I loooove my AMAZING racist wife! She's just dan-digitty AMAZING with her songs about chld molestation and women being raped! Just the sort of person who ~~~~understands me.

Anonymous said...

You have to wonder why any 'artist' would think it defensible to make songs exploiting the sexual abuse of children. Gerard, his manky wife and her racist shock rock band aren't 'artists'. They're fucking idiots.

Anonymous said...

I don't believe Gerard changed who he was after he married Lindsey. I think he just decided to let the world see the real him.

They deserve each other.

How could that Joey person market The Breakfast Monkey since Gerard is the one who created him? Isn't that stealing? The Breakfast Monkey is like MCR which would not exist without Gerard Way.

Anonymous said...

Funny how Lindsey can find time to brag about her shitty 'art' but can't find the time to apologize for insulting the memory of thousands of dead Japanese men, women and children.

Anonymous said...

Blah. Blah.

Can't you people find something else to ramble on about? The Japan thing was taken out of context and you spent a whole post going on about it. I think this blog lost credibility over it. Not that it had much credibility to begin with.

Anonymous said...

Go away you're boring.

Anonymous said...

Kapunua, have you found anything about Tom Hardy speaking le French? Would really love to hear his sexy voice.

Anonymous said...

4:37, you lost all credibility when you defended that racist piece of trash instead of allowing people to be offended by a 'joke' which was at best insensitive.

Anonymous said...

4.37 probably also thinks Gerard Way can line up as many 16 year old girls as he wants and 'punch them in the face'. Because he's worth it!

Anonymous said...

I wonder what would happen if Lindsey lost her child in some horrid car accident. I wonder what would happen if someone online or some D-list celeb made a comment about it just a few weeks after, saying "fuck that car accident where Bandit died. Who cares?"

I'd love to see how hard the MCRmy and Lindsey's personal army of asslickers would come down on that person. And you KNOW they'd make it their personal mission to send that person death threats, threaten to 'smash their face in', or spam them with demands for an apology.

Stop defending her. She fucked up, said something offensive which she should not have said in light of the tragedy. She would be offended and hurt if someone had used a tragedy of her own for cheap laughs on some webchat, as would her 'fans'.

Anonymous said...

Do you realize how offensive your comment was, 5:22?

You go on ad nauseum about Lindsey's Japan comment, yet you just proposed a hypothetical situation where a little girl was killed. Not just any little girl, but Bandit Way specifically. If that's not offensive, what is?

Just goes to show how hypocritical you morons are. "Do as I say, not as I do."

Frankly, I'm appalled.

Anonymous said...

Oh please. It was a hypothetical example to show you why Lindsey's 'joke' was fucked up, because if it had been a similar 'joke' at her expense, no one would laugh. You're just proving MY point. It would be a tragedy and appaling, and NO ONE should mock EITHER event.

Go back to your troll cave.

Anonymous said...

Bandit didn't die: the example is being used to try and clue you in to something called 'empathy'. Thousands of Japanese children did die. I think we know who's in the wrong here, and it's the person who made a crack at a natural disaster with her equally racist friends.

Just step back and think about that for a little while, 5.49.

Anonymous said...

Funny, where was your sense of outrage when Lindsey made her stab at all those mourning families?

Anonymous said...

5:49 I'm not 5:22, but I think 5:22 has conveyed effectively how heinous a flippant remark can be. You were outraged (rightfully) by 5:22's example, yet you appear not outraged when LW lightheartedly trivializes a tragedy involving other people. What of their children or their families? Weren't their lives as important? Can't you understand how irresponsible and insensitive her comment was?. Now who is the hypocrite?

Anonymous said...

Sadly, 5.22 is right. Lindsey's fans would trip over themselves to attack someone for saying something similar to the things Lindsey says herself about other people's tragedies. No one is saying anything about wanting something to happen to Bandit. They are, however, pointing out what a thoughtless hypocrite Lindsey Way is for thinking her brand of offensive humor regarding death is acceptable.

Anonymous said...

6.03 hits the nail on the head. You just proved the point totally.

Anonymous said...

People SHOULD be outraged by the example, because that's as the poster above said, empathy. Lindsey and her fans only appear to have empathy when it comes to themselves or kissing her ass. Anyone with half a brain and not totally buried inside MCRSI's collective asshole would see why Lindsey's joke should not have been made at all. Don't think I'm right? Go onto a tsunami survivor community message board and repeat what Lindsey said there. See what reaction you get.

Anonymous said...

You go on ad nauseum about Lindsey's Japan comment, yet you just proposed a hypothetical situation where a little girl was killed. Not just any little girl, but Bandit Way specifically. If that's not offensive, what is?

The situation is to illustrate how you (and Lindsey) don't seem to care that much when other people's children are killed. I assure you, I cared when all those people in Japan died, and I would damn well not make jokes about someone else's child dying. Lindsey, however, would.

Anonymous said...

Lindsey's joke should not have been made at all

Anyone with sense and maturity knows this.

Anonymous said...

Yes but her 'fans' are defending her jokes about dead people, just as they defend her songs about five year old girls being raped and women being treated like 'whores'. They're clueless and deluded.

Anonymous said...

Frankly, I'm appalled.

But you're fine with songs like Panty Shot, Gerard Way wanting to punch girls, and Frank's suggestion of a coathanger abortion for the bad mother in the cinema, right?

Anonymous said...

Come on, we all know the suffering and death of children is fair game as long as you're a member of MSI!

Anonymous said...

5.49, 5.22 wasn't saying anything like Lindsey said. They were saying, 'let's pretend someone made a comment like "fuck (insert tragedy here). Who cares", but one relative to Lindsey and her loved ones, they would be called out for it. Which is true. But this same sense of outrage doesn't seem to extend to remarks Lindsey herself makes, for some reason. Which is the issue. It's clearly okay with a large number of MCRSI fans to accept that their idols make gross comments and jokes, but everyone else isn't privy to that same freedom from criticism. Why is that? I think that's the point being made. You need to examine your own feelings a bit more and ask yourself that question.

Anonymous said...

Wow, what an ugly bunch of shit being said right now.

5:22 -it doesn't matter if you have a vaild point or not. Your hypothetical "accident" involving Bandit was just as disgusting as what Lindsey said. BOTH comments cross the line and should never have been uttered. You cannot prove how wrong someone is by behaving just as poorly as they have. Even if you are right - It still doesn't make it ok. GET IT?

Say she's wrong, say she's disgusting, say she's totally insensative and sick. You have a right too. And I agree with you. Her tsunami comment was revolting. But "being hypothetical" involving the death of an innocent child -YOU just spoke like Lindsey did. You fucking disgust me. And it is comments like YOUR'S 5:22, and some of the congradulatory comments that followed -that make this blog fucking shameful some days.

Before anyone accuses me of being any of the other comments, I would like to state clearly -I am NO fan of Lindsey's or MSI's and I personally take big issue with 99% of their lyrics and behavior. They bring nothing worthy into this world. So go ahead and tell her to think before she speaks. But do us a favor too, think before you type. Make your valid points without crossing the line and hypothetically killing an innocent child, you fucking arrogant insensative asshole.

You have no right to accuse any group of fans or individuals of being wrong when you have the intelligence to know what is acceptable to say, and what is not -and yet you made the most inappropriate choice you could in your above comment. You think you are better than Lindsey for PROVING how wrong she is with what you have said? TRY AGAIN. This time, have some fucking decency. Maybe if Lindsey sees more examples of it -she may understand what the fuck it is.

Anonymous said...

It's because they hold these people up on a pedestal even though they'll scream black and blue that they don't.

Anonymous said...

Make your valid points without crossing the line and hypothetically killing an innocent child, you fucking arrogant insensative asshole.

Actually, the hypothetical was about someone saying 'who cares?' about the death of her child. Which didn't actually happen here, and never would. The regs here would think as lowly of that hypothetical person as they did Lindsey when she did the same.

Why is it okay that Lindsey can say these things and get off without charge?

Anonymous said...

If I may, 6:27? It's lovely and all, that 5:22 was trying so hard to be above it all, and make such a good point. But I believe what some of the other anons (and myself at 6:32) are saying is -there is a better way to make a good point. By NOT sinking to the disgusting level that Lindsey did. You think on that, while you are on your calm and high horse. What 5:22 said absolutely crossed the line. If she (I'm assuming) had said it better -without involving Lindsey's child by name (thus being disgusting and shameless -and Lindsey in regard to the tsunami) then 5:22 would deserve the credit they were looking for.

Some MCR/MSI fans behave and think poorly. Agreed. There is little common sense in some of them, agreed. There are odd rules and excuses for more bad behavior and thinking that come from them -agreed. But let's not behave like them as well. OK? It's been a while since I have seen such ubelievably wrong and enraging comments. And surprisingly? None of those wrong and enraging comments have come from MCR. Wow. Full circle.

Anonymous said...

6.32 you're doing a weak-ass job of trying to pretend you're not a Lindsey fangirl out to defend her words and deflect from her racism and lack of empathy.

Anonymous said...

It ISN'T OK 6:38. It's not OK for anyone to speak like that about living, breathing, innocent people. This would be MY point.

Anonymous said...

there is a better way to make a good point. By NOT sinking to the disgusting level that Lindsey did. You think on that, while you are on your calm and high horse. What 5:22 said absolutely crossed the line.

So are you denying that the hypothetical isn't probable? Because that's the point you're really trying hard to dodge. No one 'sank to her level': they're pointing out what a fucking hypocrite she and her defenders are with their double standards. Because the death of one child and a thousand children aren't fodder for jokes online, and BOTH the hypothetical D-list celeb AND Lindsey Way would deserve to be called out.

You're fucking kidding me, 6:39. I hate the woman. I have posted here for years now, dear. Don't even pull that shit with me cuz you don't like my points.

There mere "hypothetical" was what crossed the line.

What Lindsey said was completely inhuman. But saying something to match what Lindsey said -to prove Lindsey is crap? That feels to me like exactly the same wrong. Do you understand me now?

Anonymous said...

It's not OK for anyone to speak like that about living, breathing, innocent people. This would be MY point.

Where did the poster wish Bandit dead, or say they 'didn't care' about it happening? They're making the opposite point. They said, "I wonder what would happen if the same thing happened to Lindsey that she mocked other's about?" Same goes for the racist, sexist shit she and her band say. It wouldn't be so funny if someone was writing songs about her or her family being raped, abused as a child, or having their faces smashed in, would it?

Anonymous said...

What Lindsey said was completely inhuman. But saying something to match what Lindsey said -to prove Lindsey is crap?

It's not 'something like what Lindsey said'. It's an example of someone else doing that, and being sandblasted by the MCRmy for it, which you know would happen.

Anonymous said...

I agree that both comments were offensive: Lindsey's comment about Japan as well as the hypothetical about a child being killed.

If it were your child that was hypothetically getting killed in a car crash (another specific), you would be offended.

While I despise Gerard Way and his idiotic wife, I would never say such a thing. My children are too dear to me to even think of such a situation.

Anonymous said...

I'm not dodging anything. I'm telling you what I most have a problem with. It is entirely probable. People die every day. And if something tragic did happen, and did effect Lindsey (which is ALL 5:22 had to say) she would be more fucking aware of how vulgar her comment about the tsumani was. But I disagree with one of YOUR points, dear. I don't think anyone DESERVES to get their past mistakes or straight up stupidity thrown in their fucking face when they have just lost a loved one. It could be justified -but it still wouldn't make it RIGHT. Which is my entire point, and you seem to be fucking missing it.

I said 5:22 was right. I've said it repeatedly now. But the WAY she said it -was WRONG.

Anonymous said...

There mere "hypothetical" was what crossed the line.

Yes yes, because Lindsey Way and her family are some sort of sacred cows who can't be used in an EXAMPLE used to show their hypocricy? Give me a break. It's fine for her to mock the rape of children, but when someone dares to mention her child by name in a completely different context giving a hypothetical about what would happen if someone else mocked her tragedy, it's 'the same thing'. Sure. If theposter had said, 'I hope Bandit dies and I won't care if she did', you may have had a point. But they didn't, and you don't. Sorry.

Anonymous said...

I don't think anyone DESERVES to get their past mistakes or straight up stupidity thrown in their fucking face when they have just lost a loved one.

I'm having a hard time finding where the OP said Lindsey 'deserves' anything. Just that it's probable the MCRrmy would become their usual two-faced cult and attack, which is true. So what exactly is your point?

Anonymous said...

Why are you calling that person "dear". Don't patronize.

Anonymous said...

It's fine for her to mock the rape of children, but when someone dares to mention her child by name in a completely different context giving a hypothetical about what would happen if someone else mocked her tragedy, it's 'the same thing'.

This is where your argument is wrong. Nobody is saying it was "fine" for Lindsey to do anything. We are saying that it is not "fine" to come up with a hypothetical involving the death of an innocent child to prove your point. The example you used crossed a line that should not have been crossed.

Anonymous said...

If it were your child that was hypothetically getting killed in a car crash (another specific), you would be offended.

I'd be offended if Lindsey Way said 'who cares?'. Sure I would. The OP didn't say that though. They pointed out the clusterfuck that would occur if someone did that to her.

Anonymous said...

We are saying that it is not "fine" to come up with a hypothetical involving the death of an innocent child to prove your point. The example you used crossed a line that should not have been crossed.

And all those kids in Japan deserved being used in Lindsey's joke, amirite?

Anonymous said...

"I wonder what would happen if the same thing happened to Lindsey that she mocked other's about?"
---
Right THERE dear, (I'm only being as patroninizing as I am receiving) get it? If 5:22 had worded their damn comment like that -we wouldn't be having this absurd argument. Do you fucking get me now? Because I am done with this shit. What Lindsey said was wrong. More wrong than most things I have heard come shitting out of celebs mouths. But 5:22 made their point in an equally disgusting and atrocious manner. As I said before -the way 5:22 worded their valid point -IN MY OPINION- completely dispelled it. You want to live and be and feel like you are a better person that those we all find so revolting? Let's start with our fucking hypothetical speaking. It'd have more respect for valid points if they were represented with more respect and decency in them.

Thank you 6:47 and 6:52. It's a relief to know there are other people on this blog that actually get how that comment could possibly be just as inappropriate.

Anonymous said...

THIS.

'Wondering what would happen' and 'wanting it to happen' are two different things.

I think we all know what would happen if someone targeted Lindsey like she did the Japanese. You have no point.

Anonymous said...

I don't see anyone else using 'dear' apart from you.

I think where the OP went wrong was in bringing an innocent child into this.

One of the main reasons most of us hate MSI is because of their casual joking about something as horrific as pedophilia. No matter what else any of us here thinks about MCR, its individual members, or the members of MSI, it always comes back to the fact that the song Panty Shot is indefensible.

So I think it follows that some of us would be offended when a hypothetical involving the death of a child is brought up.

While I agree that the MCRmy would pitch a fit over the proposed hypothetical, the fact that the MCRmy doesn't need much provocatation to pitch one of their little hissy fits has already been proven. In spades. Therefore, I think the hypothetical was not only tacky and offensive, but completely unnecessary.

Anonymous said...

Yes. I absolutely would.

You just showed your true colors with this sentence. True 'derailing for dummies' stuff.

She would be offended and hurt if someone had used a tragedy of her own for cheap laughs on some webchat, as would her 'fans'.

I fail to see how this is the OP 'going to the same level' as Lindsey or mocking anything other than the rampant cult-like aggression of the MCRmy in defence of their idols.

Don't be a jackass 6:57. Just because people are disagreeing with you, doesn't mean you have a right to accuse them of such bullshit. No where in any of my comments or those of the other(s) are saying "GO TEAM LINDSEY!"

Quite the opposite.

But it seems accusing others of things they haven't remotely said is your best defense.

What Lindsey said was wrong. What 5:22 said -was also wrong, for the MANNER in which they CHOOSE to make their VALID point. I'm really done trying to explain my own opinion to you. If you don't get how that kind of hypothetical statement or question is wrong, then I sincerely hope you never encounter the same disgusting and insensative hypothesis about someone innocent in your life.

I absolutely would, 7:01. In a goddamn second. IN A SECOND. I'm done.

Anonymous said...

So you agree with the OP's point after all.

Exactly. And I think I (and one or two others) have been saying that all along. Or did you miss the part where we said we disagreed with how the point was made?

Anonymous said...

How eerie that you are beginning to sound like one of people who defend MSI's lyrics by saying, "you just don't get it.

Sorry, are you saying they ARE the same? The OP's comment was not a song written from the POV of a child molester. It wasn't a threat against a girl. It wasn't a joke about people dying. It was an example of how fucked up and misguided you MCRmy rats are and how you let slide the shit your idols say without batting an eyelid. And it was spot on.

Anonymous said...

I sincerely hope you never encounter the same disgusting and insensative hypothesis about someone innocent in your life.

Are you so dense that you think everyone has to agree with everything you say, lest they be an MCRmy lunatic, 7:09?

I've said repeatedly that I despise Lindsey, MSI, and MCR. So how do you get that they are my "idols"?

I think it's fine to disagree with the OP using Bandit as an example but it's not really the case to accuse them of 'doing the same thing as Lindsey'. Just throwing that out there, because your reaction was off the scales and pretty much made you look like a Lindsey fangirl from the start.

Anonymous said...

I hope you aren't an adult, 7:23. I really hope you aren't.

I'm curious too what Lindsey's valid point was, but I don't think I'm going to enjoy it regardless.

While we're on the subject, what was the valid point in Panty Shot? Or Frank's coathanger joke? Or any of the things you just compared the OP 'making her valid point' to?

Frank's coathanger joke was valid (dunno why, it just was) and he didn't make the same mistake as the OP in naming kid's names, so he's off the hook and faultless. Got it?

Anonymous said...

I'm not a Lindsey fangirl, 7:25. I'm a preschool teacher. Do you understand why my reaction was off the chart now?

Ugh, my God. Lindsey had no valid point. I have never once said that. 5:22 DID have a valid point -I have said that repeatedly. But naming a child to make a point, invovling DEATH -is wrong, in my book. Why can't some of you not see that? I apologize for the cussing and the patronism. But I absolutely cannot find it justified to hypothetically use a child in any such manner. Doing THAT, IMO is too much like something Lindsey HAS done. I cannot believe you are making me repeat that yet again. But I really am done trying to make you understand. You are simply enjoying yourself too much with twisting everything I, and the other anons have said. Trolling, indeed. Good day.

Anonymous said...

Says the person failing to accept the valid point and wringing her hands about the 'too personal' an example' being used.

Actually, if I had openly mocked someone with cancer, I wouldn't be suprised if someone said to me one day, 'how would you feel if your baby died of cancer one day? Not so funny now, is it?'. And you know what? They'd be right. I wouldn't attack them for 'bringing my child' into anything, because I'D BE THE ONE IN THE WRONG.

Yes but this dingbat commenter doesn't seem to understand that or be able to give us an example as to where Lindsey's tsunami joke had a 'valid point'.

Making Lindsey the constant victim in everything sort of gives this commenter away. The example is clear, the point is valid, and it's totally acceptable to use an example of that sort because it happens every fucking day. People die. Children die. Sometimes thousands of children die in one hour because they got drowned by a tsunami. That was the OP's point. It wouldn't be funny, it wouldn't be nice, and it would be fucked up to say something mocking about it. LIKE LINDSEY DID. But the fans don't seem to believe that.

Anonymous said...

Funny how the preschool teacher isn't up in arms about this example too...

Anonymous said...

I think Lindsey has proven the sort of 'mother' she is with her flippant comment about the deaths of thousands of innocent children. The OP never actually made a 'who cares?' comment about Bandit. If anything, she was drawing attention to your point: everyone should care about all kids, but the MCRmy and Lindsey only care about certain 'protected' individuals. A nation in mourning? They're fair game!

Spot on. This 'teacher' is basically taking the stance of protecting the feelings of the person making jokes about the cancer instead of empathising with the ones affected by it.

Would it change your attitude if you knew that regs here had lost friends in the tsunami? Would that make you understand any better why people want to call Lindsey out and make her understand, as in the cancer example above, why she's the one who should be apologizing?

Nah, I think they were saying a) LW's comment was thoughtless and disgusting b) OP made a point but used a real life child's hypothetical demise as an example c) that was extreme and thoughtless and made the OP look as bad as LW

I doubt anyone would say that, they would feel just as much rage at the person making the comment to them regardless of what they might have said in the past.

You are mixing up the 'teachers' comments with another anon. The teacher didn't use the Cancer example. There were two anons

Anonymous said...

Tell me, is the cancer being quoted example extreme and thoughtless? Take all MCR context away, just look at the point itself. Would you fault the person making the cancer jokes, or the person giving them a reality check about the (very real) probability that the same thing could affect their loved ones at some point too? Is the person 'wrong' for bringing a child into the example because it's a child? Didn't the people Lindsey wrote off with her 'joke' have children among them too?

Anonymous said...

I know that.

Anonymous said...

They were both wrong. That's been said

Anonymous said...

7.50, I know. I want to know why the teacher anon isn't finding fault with the cancer example given it's the same example just a different tragedy.

So, someone making light of cancer patients should be able to get away with it, and the people who have suffered and are suffereing shouldn't be able to make a comment like, 'what would you do if your child got cancer one day? Would that make you understand how wrong you are?'

I'm sorry, I think that person should have that said to them. And the people who would defend the cancer jokes should have that said to them too before they go attacking the person who has lost loved ones, just because they dared to hit someone with the cold hard facts and a little empathy.

You're missing the point. I'm pretty sure it all boils down (in the minds of these fangirls) to Gerard being allowed to threaten to hit who he wants, Lindsey being allowed to mock the death of who she wants, and Frank being allowed to suggest someone should kill their own children with a coathanger. And anyone who wants to say to them, 'just think about if that was YOUR child for a minute' is just as disgusting and gross as they are because it's totally the same thing *rolls eyes*

You know what's funny? This is exactly what people said after the #smashedface bullshit. Gerard is a father to a little girl. How would he feel if that same little girl was being threatened by thugs online? Same with his wife. How would she feel if the tables were turned and someone had mocked her tragedy?

I think we all know how they'd feel. Maybe they need to step back and think about it for a bit before they make any more racist, misogynist comments and jokes.

And it also means that some people have to emotionally mature before they can empathize with others and their situations. Some don't because they are basically selfish people to start off with.

Anonymous said...

I think Gerard and Lindsey (and the rest of MCRSI) are selfish because of the way they treat minoroties and anyone not in their little group. Only selfish self-obsessed people crack racist jokes or threaten to beat up women because they were called out on their misogyny.

Hey, what do you guys think of this:

"A slut is such a specific adjective, too. And anytime there is an adjective that only describes one gender I think it should be stricken. If you can't call a guy a slut and mean it in that like, same cut you to the core kind of insulty kind of way then, fuck it. Like, it shouldn't even exist."

I am no longer an MCR fan, by the way.
Somtimes it feels as if LynZ has a point, but then, its like, please just shush. And yes, I used to look up to her, too because I thought she was speaking for the whole female gender. I dont think that anymore. I prefer Kathleen Hannah and Roseanne better than her now. Same goes for Gerard Way. I looked up to him and MCR-but I never thought that they saved my life-to be honset, I was a fan but their music made me depressed. Its all revenge and hate to me. And their album is mediocre, and Geard's actions disgusting.
