I hear the C-word loving drummer left / got fired.

I bet the fangirls are going crazy. Are they upset, or are they trying to make the remaining members look like a victim? How long until the ex-member is a bad guy.

Many bands replace drummers right and left anyway. It kind of shows the fakeness of rockbands pretending to be "bestest friends for life". Why do they perpetuate the image that they are BFFs and some kind of posse? I think with most bands it comes down to money and image. Probably no one more-so than with MCR which is more or less a corporate machine anymore.

Maybe the drummer didn't fit into their new LA "we're the only real band" image, or maybe Gerard had a hissy fit over something and threw him out too (like the first drummer.)

Does anyone care, other than to think it's kind of funny?

Pointing and laughing when time permits....

So 9:21, in other words, you won't listen to music that you may very well like just because you didn't like the way the person brought it to your attention? That's almost as close-minded as people being turned off MCR because of their fan(girl)s, or the fangirls listening to nothing but MCR or very similar bands.

How in the hell is it similar to "not listening to anything different?" My musical tastes, I'd be willing to bet you my savings, are wider than yours are, because I'm an ethnic dancer for starters, and because I grew up in a house of musicians.

To answer your original question that came before your ridiculous assumption, yes, your "Meh, you people pretty much suck, no offense" attitude did turn me off of your band there. Why would I want to listen to something that I associate with someone who comes out with insults? It's kind of why I quit listening to MCR. I don't like to be insulted.

Anonymous said...

Different anon, but I honestly don't see where anybody was insulting you, Kapunua. I post here too and am an ex-MCR fan, but I wasn't offended.

The original comment may have been over-generalizing, but I have to say that for the most part I agree with the sentiment expressed. Most people I know who like MCR and other pop punk bands don't like Indie music and vice-versa. It's just a fact and it's a shame, really.

Maybe it's a geographical thing, but I go to a major university and musical tastes seem to be a major bone of contention (and elitism) among many of the students who attend with me. I'm a journalism major and most of the people I know like Indie music and would not be caught dead an MCR show (or The Used or TBS). I found this out recently when The Used came to town and I had to go by myself. I ran into some kids I had gone to high school with who love The Use, and I had a great time hanging out with them, but if I told them I listened to Indie bands too, they would have given me shit over it.

It sucks that people are so unwilling to just listen to music on its own merits rather than being influenced by labels, but it's just a sad fact of life -- especially right now. People tend to align with one genre and won't go outside it. This applies to people who listen to Pop, Rap and Country too.

I think March 21, 2010 1:05 PM was just trying to express her frustration with that type of attitude. Maybe she didn't word it perfectly, but I don't think she intended to offend anyone.

Yeah, we know that you are far superior to others in every way Kapunua and anyone who disagrees with you is an idiot, right?

Anonymous said...

Right you are 10:29.

It's that self absorbed mentality.

That "I might have liked them if you didn't do or say what you did. I'm never going to listen to that band because I don't like you. Here's why I know so much more than you know."

It's childish, self absorbed and closeminded.

kapunua said...

Blah blah blah, your usual rants.

Anyway, yes, it was totally rude to come in here with "Here's a cool band, but since you all used to like MCR you probably won't listen to anything outside of your sphere, no offense though."

Just out of line, presumptuous and rude.

kapunua said...

And, by the way, just saying "no offense" usually means you know you are being offensive.

anyone who disagrees with you is an idiot, right?

No, "anon." But you lot? Pretty much. And you keep proving it in so many original ways. :)

happyXamp said...

And now for something completely diffrent

Anonymous said...

The thing is that everyone who knows Kapunua, knows that she is not a good person in any way.

She likes to use having a hard life as an excuse to lash out.

She says she's a feminist and for equal rights but really it is an excuse to hate others for their beliefs. Christians, women who aren't feminists, anyone who doesn't fit in with her agenda of being a socialist liberal athiest. If you wear fur or diamonds (OH PLEASE) if you like MCR, if you are a woman who wants to stay home with her children. You are not "good enough" for her.

That's not what's known as a good person, that's what's known as a bitch.

Anonymous said...

And someone who'd rantings are very tedious.

Anonymous said...

After reading your over-exaggerated ramblings 1:49, I would say you fit the description of a bitch , i.e. not a good person, quite adequately. Maybe you should stay where you belong: at the blog of your imaginary rawstah.

Anonymous said...

Can we stop the bitching and picking on people? For one, atleast Kapunua always puts what she thinks under her name. And yes, I know I am anon, but I'm not being nasty to anyone.

Personally, the anon that linked MGMT did offend me slightly as I listen to a wide variety of music. But maybe that is because I am in my late 20's and have been around a while.

However I thought her apology was a decent thing to do, and I do understand where she was coming from as a lot of MCR fans (old, new, older or younger) are very blinkered.

As we are now aware that many of us aren't limited to one genre, it would be great to move on from the insulting comments (from everyone).

After all this blog isn't about us bitching at one another on a personal level, but more so us discussing the merit and worth of Gerard Way and his band.

Anonymous said...

You obviously don't know her like we do. That's your problem. When you find out the hard way. When one day she disagrees with you or finds out certain things you like or don't like that she disagrees with.

Maybe you don't know that she's trouble yet. But you'll learn and be sadder and wiser like the rest of us.

MGMT anon said...

Look, I honestly never meant to cause any trouble here. Like I said earlier, I'm an ex-MCR fan and I post here all the time. I realize now that my comment might have come off as critical, but it was directed more at the people I know in real life who don't give bands a chance because they are different and don't fall into the category of music that they listen to. Obviously, if I had been criticizing all of the people who post here, that would be including myself.

I realize that my comment was not worded particularly well and that maybe I was even taking out my anger at small minded people who won't give new music a try on you guys. For that I am sorry.

Also I am not the anon @9:46 who compared Kapunua to MCR fangirls. I was the anon @5:41 who tried to explain my comment. I suppose I should have included an apology because I truly am sorry if I offended anyone.

I am also sorry for causing an argument. I have always liked Kapunua. I've expressed sympathy for her losses in the past and I've always enjoyed what she has to say. I was actually a little surprised when she got so angry at me, but I am willing to let that go. I honestly did not mean any harm and I certainly did not want to give the stupid haters from that place that shall not be named a reason to come here and criticize.

So...can we just stop this nonsense now and get along? Please.

kapunua said...

Yeah, don't worry about it. My button is generalization, really about anything. I felt like you were judging everyone because of something we used to like and lumping us all together. I grew up around music and I love all sorts of it. So, no worries.

I'm sure she'll appreciate it. ;-)

Does anyone know anyone who's slept with GW?

Anonymous said...

Thankfully, NO. I hope I speak for most people here when I say that most of us probably don't want anything to do with the sort of person who'd hit that.

Anonymous said...

I'd hit that and you've all been pretty nice to me! Please don't lump all of us people who like Gerard/MCR together, or categorize us as a particular 'sort' of person. I don't do that for those of you who don't like them, I respect you're all individuals.

Anonymous said...

Would you "hit that" for real? I mean, without getting to know that guy first (beyond knowing what he does for a living and that he has a wife and a daughter)? Cuz if so, well, sorry but I don't think I would think very highly of you.

Anonymous said...

"Kat", Eliza, Barbara(?), Lana Jade(?) and Lindsey so I've heard.

And Audrey Kitchen got her sknaky mouth around his equally skanky junk that was so bad even someone like Audrey was repulsed by it.

I wonder why he's always been drawn to talentless, attention loving bimbos? I'm not speaking od "Kat" and Barbara obviously because I know nothing about them but the rest fill that description.

WHy do you ask Anon?

Anonymous said...

What "Kat"? No such person.

Anonymous said...

That's your opinion and you're welcome to it. I believe that she was real, even if that wasn't her name. Just smarter then Gerards usual airhead.

Anonymous said...

Lol. You know things are bad when even Audrey Kitchen is disgusted by it. That girl will do anyone and anything.

Anonymous said...

I wonder why he's always been drawn to talentless, attention loving bimbos?

Because it makes him feel superior and in control? Or maybe he's so gay only attention seekers want him.

Anonymous said...

It amazes me that people still believe that "Kat" ever existed. I'm more likely to believe the outlandish story about Lindsey. Or that "Kat" was actually a man.

Anonymous said...

Like I said, that's your opinion.

Anonymous said...

i'm 16

Anonymous said...

Whoa, back up whats all this stuff about Audrey kitching and how did it become public knowledge? Never heard that before, or the other two names besides obviously Kat, Eliza and Lyn-Z.

Anonymous said...

I'm pretty sure that Lana Jade started up the rumors about her and Gerard just to get attention. I've seen pictures of her with him and frankly, he looks terrified.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

There's medication for that problem you have 10:28.

Anonymous said...

Oh no of course not without getting to know him as a person first, and obviously not now he has a wife and daughter. I only meant to say that I would be attracted to him, sorry it's my bad, I didn't word it very well.

Wow. I'm surprised anyone is attracted to GWay.

Anonymous said...

Can anyone post pics of him with Lana Jade?

Barbara was his first girlfriend. He mentioned her in an early interview and said how she dumped him because she was going on holiday to Greece and wanted to have fun.

Audrey Kitchen wrote a blog about giving Gerard head at some festival and told everyone how nasty it was (well, he is proud of the fact that he never washes). There was an uproar from the fangirls on BN and the post was deleted.

Anonymous said...

I hate reading things like that.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for clearing that up 12:03. :)Though now I'm starting to think I'd have rather not known lol

Anonymous said...

OMG I remember that. She said he tasted disgusting.

Anonymous said...

Okay, this is the only picture I could find of Gerard and Lana Jade.

I'm not sure if I would call his look "terrified", but his body language does kind of scream, "Oh my God, get the fuck off me!"

Anonymous said...

What is it with him and skanky scene queens?

Anonymous said...

I think maybe skanky scene queens were the only girls who ever really paid him any attention.

Anonymous said...

There's an Uncle Fester kinda vibe going on in that pic.

Anonymous said...

She's definitely got her boobs planted right against his chest.

Anonymous said...

I think maybe skanky scene queens were the only girls who ever really paid him any attention.

Aside from screaming 14 year old girls and middle age women who think they're 'cool' cuz they shop at Hot Topic.

Anonymous said...

Look at his eyes. He looks pretty terrified to me.

Anonymous said...

When I look at Gerard's eyes in that picture it makes me sad because that was back before he had "dead eyes".

What happened to him since then? He looks so dazed all the time now.

Anonymous said...

He looks stoned a lot of the times now especially in the latest pictures.

Anonymous said...

There's definitiely something not looking right with him in the latest pictures. It reminds me of when he was touring the UK, with MSI supporting, late 2008. He looked like he was missing something.

Anonymous said...

*definitely

Anonymous said...

*late 2007. Apologies, I'm multitasking.

Anonymous said...

Yep, missing his brains...

Anonymous said...

Yep, missing his brains...

LOL, may be? I wasn't referring to that exactly. It's hard to explain, he looked like he was sort of depleted. Just very fragile. He doesn't look so fragile now, but he does look like his body is doing without something? Or perhaps doing with the wrong thing? I don't know, he just looks a bit of a mess.

Anonymous said...

missing someone, more likely. last time it was his wife, wonder who it is now.

the greatest satisfaction i get is knowing that he'll never be happy until he figures out what he wants.

i get a happy from this since i highly doubt he ever will. liars always lie to themselves first.

Anonymous said...

^This. Also addicts always lie to themselves and everyone around them.

Anonymous said...

I can't stand the guy but I don't want him to be unhappy. I don't wish bad things for him no matter what he's done.

I just wish that he would figure out who the hell he is and what he wants. I also wish that he would stop lying to himself. I think he has some serious issues with his self-image and self-esteem that need sorting out.

Anonymous said...

^it's not there

Anonymous said...

i remember the mcr secret you were talking about, but it's not in that post. you'd have to go back several posts. still it doesn't prove anything because those posts are anonymous.

it was basically just a rehash of audrey's drunken rant that she deleted later. i doubt she posted the secret. probably it was just some fan who read the original rant and duplicated some of the stuff from it.

speaking of deleted things, did anybody else here see that youtube video that surfaced of gerard and eliza kissing at some party that got posted and then immediately taken down? that was during the heyday of the fans' denial that they were a couple. gerard and mikey were denying it then too. i saw it and so did a handful of fans but nobody much believed us. that's when i stopped caring about gw. it was a long, long time ago. i still cared about the other guys though, but after frank's behavior on twitter and them cutting bob loose i find i can't support these assholes anymore.

i guess i'm joining your ranks. got room for a new ex-fan?

Anonymous said...

Speechless.

What a tool.

Anonymous said...

Oh and great to see he's stopped smoking. You know it's so important his throat gets better and all that.

He's sucking on that cigarette like it's his last one.

Again *speechless*

Anonymous said...

Except I'm not. LOL. I am just gobsmacked by the bullshit in that interview. Please tell me he can't expect his "loyal" fans to believe that shit. No mention of Bob, even though he pretty much left the band that day! And his waffle about the new record, even though nearly 2 months on we know they are still writing the thing.

It's hilarious.

Gerard Way said...

"Um I think it's just more real, and it's more fake at the same time. It's more fantasy, but it's real fantasy".

Gerard Way said...

"To me right now, it feels like it's the last party. Like it's the party at the end of the world or something".

Anonymous said...

Q: What do you think has changed. How would you describe the change?

GW: It's really hard to talk about, (no shit Gerard) the change, cos every band comes and says "oh it's real different now" , and then you hear it and it's kinda the same. I think I found, well the thing that changed the game for me was I really found what I wanted to say for real. I found a new thing to say. I found new things about the world that I wanted to say. And that was a big thing. So that's different. Um I think it's just more real, and it's more fake at the same time. It's more fantasy, but it's real fantasy.

Anonymous said...

Q: Have you got any things in the works that you can let out, may be a thing that you haven't yet to your fans, the people that might be watching this?

What GW meant to say: Yes of course. We have always had a very special connection to our fans (they are real smart), so we like to be 100% honest with them. So I'd like to inform them that my voice is totally fucked, but I'm still smoking, cos basically I don't give that much of a shit.

Oh and Bob's left the band, so we have to find a new drummer. Oh and the songs we wrote, well they were in all honesty a pile of shit. So we actually are back to square one with those. But it's awesome. It's real, but fake, but fantasy, blah blah blah.

Anonymous said...

*sighs*

Anonymous said...

Why oh why oh why....

Anonymous said...

Ew. What the hell is wrong with his voice? What's wrong with his face? And Jesus, what's wrong with his brain when he continues to smoke like a freakin' stack when his voice is shot to hell. This to me is just proof that the voice thing was a cover for Bob leaving and the fact that they didn't have anything decent for the new record yet.

Fucking lying asshole douchebag. There is nothing appealing about him at all anymore. NOTHING.

Anonymous said...

he learned to "truly embrace the fabulousness of the band...."

I can't believe that there are interviewers who take that moron seriously.
I bet they're playing rock-paper-scissors as to which poor sod has to do the interview with this airhead. My God, he's so fucking stupid. It's no wonder that he was a loner in high school. I wouldn't be surprised if he got his fair share of ass beatings in school for annoying people with his stupidity all the time.

Anonymous said...

And he's either high or drunk.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone noticed how he's holding his cigarette in the first video? If that's not fierce then what is?

It's ridiculous. Men usually hold a cigarette between their finger and thumb. It's not an affectation either, it's just something that comes naturally to them (learned this in psychology class when we were studying gender differences).

Not that it isn't okay to be different, but he does look a bit ridiculous trying to be all badass when he's holding a cigarette like Cruella Deville. All he needs is the long cigarette holder and a coat made out of Dalmation fur.

Anonymous said...

Um, i do that all the time too and I don't have mental disorder. Just sayin. :/

im still a fan but i have to agree with you guys here - he sure looks wasted in that video. i mean, the way he talks is just... =/

Anonymous said...

Um, i do that all the time too and I don't have mental disorder. Just sayin. :/

Actually, if he would be sitting and rocking back and forth all the time it would be a symptom of hospitalism. It can be seen by people who didn't have enough physical/social contact with their parents when they were babies/kids. They are trying to calm themselves down with that method.
I don't know if Gerard shows signs of hospitalism in that video but it immediately reminded me of it. He at least doesn't seem to be very confident or he's just too hyper to stand still.

Anonymous said...

When my brother was little he did the rocking back and forth thing for a while and his pediatrician pointed out that it could be a flag for autism. Thankfully he outgrew it.

Anonymous said...

Um, i do that all the time too and I don't have mental disorder. Just sayin. :/

If I were you I would look into some type of therapy to stop doing that.

I work in HR and I can tell you that I would not hire someone for a job if they acted the way Gerard did in that interview. Constant fidgeting is a red flag to people in my field. It always makes you suspect drugs or instability, whether that's the case or not.

Cuz, like, with The Black Parade I was just totally kidding. Seriously, that record was just a pile of crap. But this new one, the new shit Goddamnit is the record we've always been waiting to make. Really. It makes everything else we've ever done totally irrelevant. It's, like, we made our 15th album instead of our 7th, (because TBP was more like our 6th instead of our 3rd, even though it was complete crap). But this one is going to be amazing. Really.

Trust me.

You're joking, right?

Gerard has never looked "fit" a day in his life and he certainly doens't look that way now. He looks sickly and too thin and he has no muscle tone to speak of. His skin is pasty looking and his hair is a mess.

As far as looking happy goes, he looks like he's stoned. I don't know him and can't say for sure that he's using drugs again, but he certainly acts like it. My guess is that his "happiness" is chemically induced.

Yeah, we sure as hell know it's not her since before now he'd never shutup about her.

What, wait? Where is Lindsey? Am I watching the right video?

^you can hear her when she comes outside and then there's a quick shot of her at the end just before the photographer gets interviewed.

In other news...Lady G becomes a "billion hit" artist.

MCR will never be able to boast that, even if they have all their MCRmy try for them.

Anonymous said...

You have to bear in mind it's a lifetime struggle for people with this susceptibility, not a laughing matter.

My comment had nothing to do with laughing about him being an alcoholic or a drug addict, so I don't know where you got that from? I was merely pointing out that Gerard's most likely lying about his sobriety since he told us that fairy tale about going cold turkey in Japan after he felt so suicidal and that stupid fansheep like He's probably allergic since he lives in L. A.-girl are believing this shit.

Anonymous said...

In other news...Lady G becomes a "billion hit" artist.

Doesn't Lindsey "love" Lady Gaga because of her "politics"?

Seems her friends don't agree. Chantal doesn't seem to like her and Amanda Palmer has stirred up all kinds of controversy with her latest idiotic tweets about the Telephone video...something about product placement and how it's only okay if you give the proceeds to suuport something "ironic, like the Klan." WTF at that woman's stupidty!

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Siobhan I didn't think you were laughing about it. Just other naive people from Buzznet and the like who read this blog always seem to form this opinion.

Anonymous said...

I don't understand what Lindsey was prattling on about, but for me Gaga has brought back something that was missing for a while and although she is not original she has interpreted things in her own imitable way.

AP may be slightly envious of all the attention she might be getting. It's like one big game.

Anonymous said...

Amanda Palmer continues to show her ass.

This woman makes me sick. She and Gerard, Lindsey and all their "artsy" friends deserve each other.

Anonymous said...

Oh. My. God.

How is supporting the Klan ironic?

Please tell me that people are ripping her a new one.

Anonymous said...

I love the fact that Lady Gaga has taken "shock" to a whole new level. IMO she has made what people like MSI and AP do even more irrelevant than they already were.

No wonder Chantal and AP don't like it.

Anonymous said...

Also, slating someone in public is a good way to bring attention back to yourself. Case in point: Kanye.

I wonder if 30STM regrets having Kayne on the new cd.

They only used him because of his inappropriate worldwide televised Katrina benefit rant.

How appropriate to have him rant on the song Hurricane.

Any publicity is good publicity. Right?

Wrong.

So apparently Gerard came in 3rd in Kerrang's little Top Icons of the 21st century poll. Hayley Williams of Paramore came in 2nd.

Kerrang cracks my shit up.

Anonymous said...

I don't see how this new record could possibly live up to the hype that the band is throwing out there (see Mikey's new post).

It really is going to suck, isn't it?

happyXamp said...

i don't see why magazines are even covering them anymore, i mean they've pushed the album back how many times now? When that happens they usually go back into obscurity for a few months until closer to the release date... obvisously there's a few exceptions like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jonas Brothers, Green Day and the older bands like Metallica, and Kiss. But compared to any of those bands MCR are considerably smaller in name and fan base. Again with the exception of JoBros all those bands have fans of varying genrations and verying ages.. My friend's dad can remember seeing Green Day at a club before they signed to Warner and now he, my friend, and i go see them in huge stadiums...

They used him because for some reason they are huge fans of his music. 30STM covered his song "Stronger" before Kanye was a household douchebag-name.

They might have regrets, who knows. They cut him from the final release.

loved the comment on ontd where the person said that every art theatre major with a clara bow haircut who listened to coin operated boy on repeat had turned the commenter against amanda palmer. i can totally relate. funny how these unique special snowflake people always have followers who look the same, dress the same and listen to the same music. reminds me of that south park episode where stan becomes a goth.

btw, i wonder how amanda felt about mikey fucking way t-shirts because he was, zomg, copying him.

So apparently Kerrang and other sites are starting to pick up on Gerard's remark in Spin about TBP "pandering" to the audience.

This has to be pissing off the people who came in with TBP. I know a lot of people who adored that record.

I agree with one of the commenters on the Kerrang site who said it made Gerard appear weak and unable to stick with his convictions. He and the band made TBP and they all seemed to think it was great back then, even if Gerard's new BFF's don't think it was edgy and cool enough.

By denying it now he's just coming off as an unbearable wimp. Damn but that boy needs to grow a pair!

Anonymous said...

It seems Lyn-Z's Amputated Penis has been commenting on that Kerrang site.

Sorry L! Your dick's not going quietly.

Anonymous said...

wtf???

Anonymous said...

It was edgy and cool enough for Gerard and the rest of them to pocket the money they earned through the merch and tour sales. Cool enough to buy him his LA home on valentines day to show his adoration for Lynz and his 2? muscle cars. Strange how all this pandering that delivered so much personally is being rejected.

Anonymous said...

please explain "lynz's amputated penis". is that someone's user name or is that a name for gerard? i was pretty disturbed by that.

@ MCR's Fans.

Why can't you just accept the fact that they are overexposed, overrated and just plain shite?

When will you admit that you are all just a bunch of mindless teenage sheep who will gobble up each and every piece of shit that those cunts feed you?

There's plenty of unsigned bands in the underground who deserve just as much, if not more attention than these fuckers, but, seeing as not many people have heard about them, you don't wan't anything to do with them, but I'm betting that when they do become popular all you spineless fuckers will have "supported them from the beginning" as well.

Funny how people have to grovel at Kapunua's feet to get her to grudgingly say "no worries."

Okay, so if that's Lindsey waiting for Gerard at the end of his segment on the Spin video, then it looks like she has a cigarette in her hand as well. I'm thinking that she probably did not give up smoking during her pregnancy if that's the case.

I honestly wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt because she seems like she really loves Bandit, but now I don't know. If she smoked during the pregnancy maybe she drank too. And after seeing how high Gerard seemed I'd be willing to bet she was high too. That poor baby.

Anonymous said...

As a doctor, I detest smoking with a passion, smoking whilst pregnant and around a young baby, is tantamount to child abuse in my eyes.
These people are slowly killing themselves and their child.
Urgh! It boils my piss!

Anonymous said...

Isn't it odd that - apparently - it was so easy for Gerard to give up drugs and booze overnight but that he can't manage to quit smoking? Not even for his daughter's sake?

Also, I'm waiting for a real music journalist with guts to finally ask him how he can smoke cigarettes already if he just had to cancel a show in NZ (or Australia?) due to throat problems. Why is nobody questioning him about that? I just don't get it?
Are they so afraid to piss that diva off, or what?

I agree that it looked like she had a cigarette in her hand as well. And, of course, I agree with you that smoking around a child is clearly wrong. However, I think it's a bit much to leap from that to assuming that Gerard's back on drugs and that Lyn-Z smoked, drank and God knows what else during her pregancy. All that just from seeing her with a cigarette in her hand over a year later?

Anonymous said...

I don't buy the vocal problem story either, especially after that video. I really think they just came up with it as an excuse to get out of their obligations.

Anonymous said...

Obviously we can't know what Lindsey did or did not do during her pregnancy. But, it does make sense that if she gave up smoking while she was pregnant, she would have kicked the habit for good. If she did quit for that long and then started up again, that was pretty damn stupid and weak-willed if you ask me, especially since she's taking care of the baby and would be exposing her to dangerous second hand smoke.

And, if she didn't care enough to give up smoking during the pregnancy (and again, this is only speculation) then what makes anyone think that she would care enough to give up drinking?

I hope she did quit those things while she was expecting, but then again I hoped that she had given up smoking for good (for Bandit's sake if not for her own).

As far as Gerard goes, he does seem to be on something in that video. That's an observation and it has nothing to do with Lindsey.

Anonymous said...

This may be true but I have to say that when I paused that video clip and saw her with that cigarette in her hand, I got this horrible sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I'm one of those people who really did think that having a child would change those two. I thought they would grow up and learn to be responsible for Bandit's sake. I used to defend them but this video changes everything.

I can't really explain it. It's just this awful feeling that I have. When Gerard said what he said about the record feeling like the last party at the end of the world and with that stoned expression I felt horrible. Something is terribly, terribly wrong there. I just know it.

Anonymous said...

She may not be fully responsible, but imo Lindsey has brought out the worst in Gerard.

Anonymous said...

I feel so sorry for all the kids that bought into the whole Black Parade thing. Who bought all their crappy merch and those ridiculous masks, when all this time MCR were just 'pandering' to the record company. I think Gerard is only saying that now so that he can fit in better with the likes of MSI, or to distance himself from the fact that the black parade was in record sale terms not that successful. The record company made out it would be the next American Idiot and MCR certainly acted at the time like it would be as well.

Anonymous said...

I don't buy the sobriety story for one minute. I think this guy just has an addictive personality and he's probably addicted to everything from coffee and cheeseburgers to illicit sex and drugs.

This. I also think he married someone who turns a blind eye to his addictions.

Anonymous said...

Okay, so wait.

Gerard said that he was making "safe decisions" and "pandering" with TBP.

But isn't this the record that he said was so brutally honest that it felt like he had cut his eyelids off and stared directly into the sun or some other equally ridiculous shit? I swear I remember something like that in magazine interviews.

Why does anybody even bother listening to anything this idiot says anymore?

Anonymous said...

Gerard simply needs to shut the fuck up. No one's being reeled in by his latest shitck apart from the small number of apologist and vastly overinvested fans who'd probably still gush over him if he murdered someone while drunk driving. He'll soon find himself 'pandering' again when the funds dry up and he's forced to downsize from his Hollywood home.

Anonymous said...

Gerard would have to have been doing drugs to come up with that "it's more real, but at the same time it's more fake," B.S.

Warner needs to keep him on a leash.

Anonymous said...

Too late. Seems that Lindsey already has him on a leash, seeing as how she won't even let him go do interviews and photoshoots without her.

She probably had her school uniform skirt in her purse thinking maybe they would ask her to join in the photo shoot with meat head. They could pose together with blood splattered all over them while they both smoked. (and he could hold her boob) LOL!
