...oh well.....

It now looks like lots of us were wrong about Frank Iero too. Women getting punched is now funny to him too. And so is offending everyone he can. He now seems to enjoy the fact that he can say whatever nasty thing he wants and make people feel bad if he feels like it, without consequences.

That's the life and mind set of a true "Rock Star".

It's not like they're worth caring about anymore anyway....

What a load of horrible, twisted, self-absorbed, self-righteous, moralistic, holier-than-thou fucks you are. You are the kind of losers who campaign for the sake of campaigning, to avoid the fact that you have nothing else in your lives.

That is the sad truth. Look in the mirror.

Is there a granade under wifey's hat? Well, there's certainly not a well functioning brain, that's for sure.

I'm wondering if she's still going for that emo raccoon-eyes look or if those dark circles around her eyes are the result of that 'rawkstaa wifey' lifestyle she's been leading.

Frank interview from altpress

Leathermouth are his vehicle for unfiltered ranting (i.e. "Sunsets Are For Muggings," "Your Friends Are Full Of Shit"). But it was track No. 4 on XO, "I Am Going To Kill The President Of The United States Of America" (about George W. Bush), which earned Iero a visit from the Secret Service. Wondering what happens next?

"The government comes to your house, searches everything and talks to your wife for hours," says Iero, adjusting the sleeves on his hoodie. "Then you have to get a real expensive attorney to keep you out of prison for five years. I had a long talk with the gentlemen of the Secret Service. [It was the] straight-up dark suits, sunglasses, Men In Black-vibe--I thought they were going to do the mind-erase thing [like in the movie].

"They said, 'Why did you write the song?' And I told them the truth. I was on tour [overseas] with My Chem at the time, and every time I turned around, there were Anti-American rallies. I wrote a song from the standpoint of the rest of the world. It wasn't from my personal point of view--it was just from someone who sees warmongering going on. I wrote the song, and the title is as blatant as humanly possible, because I wanted it to be that way. The Secret Service asked, 'Do you think someone is going to hear this song and kill the president?' And I said if they're going to kill the president, they're going to do it without listening to this song. That's like saying everyone who reads Jonathan Swift's A Modest Proposal is going to eat a baby. They didn't think that was too intelligent, so they said, 'Well, if you re-release the record with the song on it or perform the song live ever again, you'll be arrested."

What's really perplexing about the whole incident is how the agency even learned about the song in the first place. Iero says he's not sure who it was, but opines that it was a British writer who contacted the Office of Homeland Security looking for a comment. Clearly, Iero could've turned the whole thing into a massively public freedom-of-speech argument; now, he's just happy the whole thing is behind him.

We aren't even the ones who posted the link to this blog on BN. It was the fangirls who did that.

Forgive me, I don't mean to start any arguments, only to be honest. I don't doubt what you're saying, I'm sure the blog has been outted by fangirls many times, but in my case I stumbled across this blog advertised on buzznet by Verita Venom.

I think i will watch it tonight and be all kinds of nosey and see if she is on tonight. Hell, her singing couldn't be any worse than Gerards!

The last comment before this one on BN was in March, 2008. A fangirl went all the way back to find it and comment to "bump" it back to the first page. This is why you were able to find it on BN.

This is the stupidest part of that article.

Clearly, the writer does not understand what every kid in America is supposed to learn in Government class: that threatening the life of the President of the United States is against the law. The Secret Service is required to take seriously and investigate any and all such threats.

Ah, good ol' chicken arm.

That being said, I kind of resent songs that seem to be about only having self-worth when you're with someone. If you can't be a better person without being in a relationship, what value does that put on you as a person?

Eh, I might be off track here. That was just the impression I got.

Again, I haven't heard the songs so I too am only speculating, but I've heard the band say on many occassions that this record is more about survival and enpowerment, and less about being 'the victim'. So I hope that will also translated into the more emotional songs; God knows I could use that right now.

Interesting interview, thanks to whoever posted.

I think MCR 'jumped the shark' when they put out The Black Parade and they know it.

I don't think they'll ever be able to live it down.

Anonymous said...

Then I said, I don't know, maybe it's the Jenny from The Killers' song - she never came home.

It's been a while since Hot Fuss came out, but I seem to recall that Brandon Flowers, at the time, said that song was for a fan of theirs that was murdered.

Nice one, G Way.

Anonymous said...

Wow. 4:03, I never knew that.

That's just...ouch. Gerard needs to research before making statements like that.

Anonymous said...

It's been a while since Hot Fuss came out, but I seem to recall that Brandon Flowers, at the time, said that song was for a fan of theirs that was murdered.

No I'm pretty sure it wasn't. Brandon wrote a song about a Scottish girl who was murdered. She was a fan of the band. But the parents of the dead girl requested the song was not played live (or something like that). It was after Hot Fuss and it wasn't 'Jenny was a friend of mine'.

Hazy memory, but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

Anonymous said...

Just had a google:

He has a thing about death. 'Jenny was a Friend of Mine' and 'Midnight Show', both from Hot Fuss, were about the murder of a girl. He traces this interest back to Morrissey singing about how he loved 'the romance of crime' in the song 'Sister, I'm a Poet'. 'I studied that line a lot. And it's kind of embedded in me.'

On tour in Scotland, the Killers heard the terrible story of Jodi Jones, a 14-year-old from Dalkeith who was murdered by her boyfriend three years ago. They wrote a song, 'Where is She?', from the perspective of Jodi's mum. They played it live a few times, but after an outcry in the Scottish press have decided to shelve the song.

I'm not dissing anyone, just wanted to get the facts straight.

Hello everyone!

So, I guess that Eliza wasn't interesting enough let alone talented enough to be shown on AI yesterday?

Anonymous said...

Maybe this is interesting for you.

Anonymous said...

Oh man, I love The Dresden Dolls' music but the more I read about Amanda Palmer, the less I like her. And it cannot be unread.

Did everyone see her tweets about the Golden Globes?

Anonymous said...

Nope. Was it interesting? Something to laugh at?
She seems to be totally crazy but I think she and her friends (yes, I mean you Geefart and Dim-z) think it's totally artsy to behave that way in public.

Anonymous said...

I read about her tweets on ontd. It seems her attention whoring is causing people who once loved her to have second thoughts.

It didn't help that her engagement to Neil Gaiman had been posted from her own lj just a day or so before. A friend of hers claims to have posted it from her account, but that's still just screams attention whore to me.

Anonymous said...

She just seemed ungrateful to be there- going on about how she was "happily clueless" not knowing who anyone was, and there was a photo of Neil ticking off how many awards were left to go.

And that annoys me because she's not an actress and was there as someone's date when I bet there are actors out there that would have loved to have been in attendance. And even if it was as boring as she made it out to be, she didn't need to publicise it.

Anonymous said...

Question: what's the deal with musicians putting 'fucking' in their name?

Amanda fucking Palmer.
Mikey fucking Way.
Is this some new trend I'm not aware of?

Anonymous said...

Yeah and she kept bragging about how she didn't know who all those people were, how she didn't own a tv set and didn't go to movies...blah, blah. Like, "Oh, I'm so edgy I don't know about celebrities or pop culture". Only she was certainly proud to be there or she wouldn't have made a twitter-fest out of it. Nor would she have tried so hard to get everyone's attention by taking off her underwear on the red carpet.

Sickening.

Anonymous said...

I can understand now why she and Lindsey are friends. They both look like they smell. Stinkery loves company!

I think some people get addicted to attention. She may be non conformist and really not give shit was anyone thinks, however I do think she falls in that category. So does he.

Dim-Z. I like that.

Anonymous said...

I really want to know what the new dirt on Eliza is.

Anonymous said...

Just watched AI....not even two seconds of Eliza. lol. They didn't even show her getting her golden ticket. She looked like someones family member who just happened to get in the camera frame twice.

Anonymous said...

What's a golden ticket? How do you know that she got one?

Anonymous said...

The gloden tick is given to people who get throught to the next round. We heard in the multiple presses that she went to that she went through and then she tweeted about leaving Chicago and going to LA where the next round is filmed.

Eliza talks "Idol".

"People like to think that I name drop to get into places but the truth is that the only name that I ever need to "drop" is my own."

Even if she has "dropped" names, they'd probably have no idea who she was talking about anyway.

I really want to know what the new dirt on Eliza is.

Me too. Anyone from LJ here? Spill.

Anonymous said...

Then why isn't she on the site in their golden ticket interviews?

Anonymous said...

Me too. Anyone from LJ here? Spill.

I made an LJ account but I have to say that I don't understand how it all works. I tried to become a member of one of those so-called communities just to see what happens but I can't find out if they accepted or not and how I can post comments and so on. Apart from that, ONTD is a community too, right? I guess the people there or the people on that thread are all MCR fans. I don't think that they would appreciate me asking about what the 'dirt on Eliza' is and I think I would ask to become a member first too. I used my name on LJ just like I did here on Blogger. Don't know if those people know about VV but I guess they could find out.

Anonymous said...

ontd is a moderated community. You have to be approved for membership. If you want to join, you should cultivate a few friends, make a few posts (you can friends lock them so the general public can't read them) and apply when it doesn't look like you're a sock puppet.

Most of the people on ontd are not MCR fans, but they do have a few stans who will be quite rude to you if you go onto an MCR post and say something bad about them.

Anonymous said...

they do have a few stans who will be quite rude to you if you go onto an MCR post and say something bad about them

Most of the MCR posts will have a few hundred comments, but they're all made up by the same 10 or 12 stans and people who say they hate MCR.

Oddly, there wasn't a lot of hate in this latest post. The stans were out in full force so I think the haters just didn't bother.

Anonymous said...

How can you make 'friends' if you aren't able to post comments? I can't be arsed to write a journal and I certainly won't kiss ass of some of those stans so that I can become a member of that community. Apart from that, what fun is it to speak your mind if you can be deleted from the members list in an instant again if they don't approve of your opinion?

Anonymous said...

Most people make friends in communities they're interested in. The only place you would be kicked out of for speaking your mind would maybe be chemicalromance or tothetune.

ontd doesn't ban people for having opinions.

Anonymous said...

ONTD doesn't care what you think. They just don't want trolls and sock puppets joining.

Anonymous said...

I could ask the girl what the dirt on Eliza is, but I doubt she'd give it to me. I've made some rather sarcastic remarks about MCR in previous posts. I'm not exactly "in" with the MCR stans. Lol.

Anonymous said...

Okay, I investigated a bit more and it seems I got accepted.

My account tells you exactly who I am. Dstarpro is a nod to the name that my late hub and I were going to give our (hopefully someday) production company. It's short for DamieStar Productions (my son's name is Damien.) I use dstarpro for pretty much everything I do. I'm Deborah J. Draisin. I have nothing to hide.

LMAO - Rose is MY friend; of course I know what she says!

Again; never came in here as a fangirl - simply got linked to you by someone who had read about your misogyny accusations, and I questioned you on those. You've yet to respond. You keep telling me that I "make no sense."

I'll try to be clearer then: Are you truly concerned that there is abuse toward women being perpetrated by this band in particular over all others? If so, what are you doing about it? As women, shouldn't you be organizing a boycott if you feel that violated?

I brought up the case of Chris Brown because THAT was a true case of misogyny, and his fans are the ones you should take exception to: posting comments on myspace by the thousands "Bitch had it coming" - even the women!

Yet you are perfectly okay with that. Interesting.

Anonymous said...

Did anyone here say they were perfectly okay with that?

We talk about MCR in particular because this is a blog about MCR, and because they've made a career out of their ~message and claiming to be anti-sexism/homophobia, etc. and now appear to be going against that... which can only mean they never stood for it in the first place.

Anonymous said...

Nobody here is okay with Chris Brown. I myself was never a fan of his so there's no reason to boycott him.

And in case you hadn't noticed, nearly every person who comments here has said that they are done with MCR in terms of buying their music, going to their shows, etc.

As far as your lack of anonymity goes, so what? Do you think that by putting your real name out there on the internet it makes your opinion more valid?

MCR fans have been known to make death threats (remember the food poisoning case?) We'd be idiots to come here and post our actual names.

Anonymous said...

Answer me this, dstarpro:

How is Frank's comment about that "POS girl" getting punched by that "POS guy" equaling "proof of God" any different than Chris Brown's fans saying that the "bitch deserved it"?

Anonymous said...

Seriously, did you see that punch? It was horrible. Why is it okay for Frank to think that was cool? Is it because he didn't do the punching?

Anonymous said...

Why is it okay for Frank to think that was cool? Is it because he didn't do the punching?

Or is it because he's Frank Iero and he gets a free pass?

Anonymous said...

Death threats over the internet - yeah I've never received one of those before If anyone wants to take me down for my opinions, so be it, but until then, I stand proudly behind each and every one of them.

A boycott is more than just refusing to buy someone's stuff - it's a campaign to convince others to follow suit for the reasons that you've outlined.

Re: the Snooki thing - oh, please, EVERYONE laughed at that. Was that dude out of line? Of course! Did her own people incite him? Yep. Where's your anger at them?

Just because we don't specifically discuss Chris Brown or Snooki's friends or enemies on this blog about My Chemical Romance (!!!!) that doesn't mean that we are not interested in discussing those subjects in general.
We might just do it somewhere else with other people on other sites!

Dstarpro, do you realise how stupid this quote of yours is? How sexist it is? As 'women', are we not doing what's expected of us by your standards? What a pity indeed.

'Abuse' comes in many forms.

Placing sexist and misogynistic behaviour on a scale and 'organizing a rally' to boycott the sources of the worst offenses is not what feminism is about, nor has it ever been its only manifestation.

People here come here to talk about MCR. We do bring in other context, but the prime focus is this band. Not all of us feel 'violated', just fed up, and your use of that term is just shy of victim-mocking. So nice touch there.

Let me ask you: Would you go around telling civil rights activists that they should only focus on the people assaulting people of color, and that we should ignore or excuse the ones making racist jokes in the media and finding humor in racially-motivated attacks? Of course you wouldn't. And you know why? Because that would make you a racist. Much like it makes you a sexist idiot, as shown in your comments.

You see, it's no different when the subject is sexism and women's rights. So don't come in here bleating on about how we're not entitled to discuss this band and their sexist behaviour which they broadcast quite openly on their website.

Just because you don't find something offensive does not mean that anyone else's right to be offended is taken away from them.

There are plenty of places to talk about MCR where you won't find them held responsible for their gross bullshit. Find one and have a nice day.

Or you know, you could keep signing your name against your comments and hope Jeff Watson sees it and offers you a backstage pass one day. Whatever you like.

Kohl said...

This is by no means a post in defense, but having now seen the clip (and making my feelings on it clear) all I can say is that I'm quite disgusted. I think Frank is of the immature 'schoolboy mentality' and obviously doesn't think before he opens his mouth/posts these kind of comments for the world to see. I think this is also why he reacts the way he does when confronted- he knows there is no excuse, and so avoidance is the only option.

Anonymous said...

I think Frank's mentality is more of the 'hardXcore fratboy' kind, which is basically an older version of the same, but with shitty tattoos and a record deal.

Anonymous said...

I think you're giving Frank way too much credit, Kohl. He lives in his own little bubble, where what he says is right because he finds it funny, and everyone who speaks out against him is 'dumb' or 'taking things too seriously'.

Anonymous said...

Question: do you think Brian created the Revenge-era MCR persona to sell records?

I mean, the band are idiots. I find it hard to believe they managed to keep their dumb behind a filter for so many years without someone keeping them in check.

Eliza seemed like a blip, but it was actually when the truth started to come out. The whole thing just fell apart at the seams like a badly-sewn sweater.

Kohl said...

He lives in his own little bubble, where what he says is right because he finds it funny, and everyone who speaks out against him is 'dumb' or 'taking things too seriously'.

Quite possibly correct, being out on tour for years at a time in a predominately male environment could indeed breed that kind of arrogance, however I find it hard to believe that one could become so out of touch with reality that they believe they genuinely can not be questioned. For me, it smacks of the small child being scolded, and the avoident way in which he deals with it seems to reflect that.

Question: do you think Brian created the Revenge-era MCR persona to sell records?

I'd like to think not. :/ I mean, obviously I know LotMS was not candid camera, they knew they were being filmed and it was without a doubt edited, but if the band are such 'idiots', I don't think they could have kept up the act so convincingly. As sad as it seems I think something changed along the way.

Anonymous said...

Slightly OT, but I've been following Brian on twitter for quite a while, and he actually seems like a very thoughtful and down-to-earth dude.

Some of the things he says make me think he has standards and values high above any of the band he used to manage.

Anonymous said...

Brian seems like a genuinely sweet guy.

Okay, so wait.

You have a great time assuming that people weren't outraged with Chris Brown - I think it makes you feel better to assume that. "They hate what Frank said and how MCR acts, so it's best for me to pretend that they accept others' misogyny. It fits into my world view that way."

Of course you are wrong, and I feel pretty safe in thinking that most people here will agree with me.

I'm speaking out against sexism every day, and I see it everywhere. I'm a female in martial arts, and if you think that I don't run into misogyny in that field--and that I don't open my mouth about it--you're entirely wrong.

But I think you're tryingto be wrong. It makes you feel better, that way.

DON'T FALL FOR IT.

I personally don't know VV's email. But I would not want her to get trolled. These MCR freaks are coming in drives (like they warned they would) and they are not above trying to shut VV down.

God bless the first amendment. Yeh right.

Kind of like that girl Nicci. She sure seemed hell bent for us to write how we felt on MCR's website. Come on, why would a fan of the band want us to write bad things about them? How dumb do they think we are? Same thing with Petulance.I guess she didn't want to really commend anyone here or she could of said it here.

I would just try to ignore those people. They don't really come here to have a civil discussion.

Sounds as if this could be the world is ugly reworked and retitled. The lyrics to TWIU always made me think why Gerard would question Lindsey over who she was thinking of, unless all those rumors of LW being "THE KAT" have some basis in truth as some believe.

Rose said...

The Petulance comment is from me, I'm the Rose she was referring to earlier. That's all. I understand why you're worried about trolls, but I'm not one, just me, Rose. If she wants she can contact me on Twitter as LadyMothraRose or on LJ as APetulantRose or at my website that I listed. Sorry if i confused anyone.

And I did want to commend you guys for having a place to vent this stuff rather than going to an MCR board and saying it. I support what you're doing. I'm not trying to argue w/ anyone, I just wanted to tell her I was happy she (and a lot of you) have seen the lies and called Frank out for the misogyny...that's all.

Oh! Can I also just say, I wasn't fired, I quit. And I forgot my stupid log in for this site. which is why i'm not just using my name. I am sure i'll catch some hate for this from some fans as well as a few others. so i'm going to shut up now.

i just fear the kick back so if you want to ever come to my site or talk to me on twitter or LJ, please feel free! i'm on facebook too.

Rose,

Pardon me if I don't trust you.

You have to understand that I went through a pretty bad experience of my own on lj. I used to be very much into the fandom. I even wrote fanfic. (Yeah, I was 15 at the time. Sue me.) I had tons of friends in the fandom and was kind of a big deal because people liked my fic.

Then, after TBP came out and things started happening with Eliza I started to question Gerard's sincerity and whether or not he told the truth about certain things. I was one of those people who didn't just believe that Eliza was making things up but that maybe she and Gerard had been together all along and that he was cheating. I voiced my opinions on a couple of comms and on my journal.

Anyway, long story short, I began to get hate emails. People said I was a traitor and didn't deserve to be in the MCRmy. They said I deserved to be raped and various other things. Someone even wished a "violent, painful death" on me. Just because I dared to question Gerard.

I deleted my journal and haven't been involved in the fandom since.

MCR fans are crazy. I doubt that any of them would actually hurt me, but you just never really know.

Anonymous said...

Rose you are welcome. As for the MCR fanzines, I personally am not concerned, most of their arguments are inane and make me laugh. However they are entitled to think what they want to think, as we are too. Problem is, they want to make us think the same way they do.

If only they could actually think .

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry you had that experience 5:31.

Anonymous said...

The MCRmy sound more like a cult.

Anonymous said...

And people wonder why so many of us choose to remain anonymous.

Anonymous said...

The MCRmy sound more like a cult.

And they didn't exactly help that image by protesting the Daily Mail.

I'm sorry you had to go through that, 5:31.

Anonymous said...

What sort of a fanbase do they have if you get threatened for questioning the behavior of a person that sings for a living. That's just insane.

Anonymous said...

I think it may be because MCR made themselves so "accessible," so fans may feel they know them personally or something. That doesn't explain the death threats though, just the extreme defensiveness.

LadyAnarchy said...

It's okay if you don't trust me. I'm not a part of any fanbase but I understand what you're saying. I mean even running the KGB and S//C forums and street teams was like that. I feel a huge weight lifted off of me for leaving.

But, that said, you have a right to your opinion whether the more obsessed fans think so or not. I had a similar experience w/ the MCRmy when I first started to like MCR...and got out fast. I'm not one to not have my opinions and i wasn't having some kid tell me i was stupid. i'm far from it and so are you!

btw, Eliza is doing okay for herself. None of us can know what her relationship w/ Gerard was like...we weren't there and honestly at this point it doesn't matter. But she's a really outgoing person, she's doing hair at a great salon in Chicago and hanging with great people. She has her own blog...and I think she's a bit of alright. I tend not to look at a person's past. I know a lot of folks hate her, but I don't hate anyone...I don't have time for that. If they were good to me, I'm good to them.

Apparently my google account is saved on my work computer! So now i'm logged in w/ that! sorry...i should shut up now.

Anonymous said...

People said I was a traitor and didn't deserve to be in the MCRmy. They said I deserved to be raped and various other things. Someone even wished a "violent, painful death" on me. Just because I dared to question Gerard.

This blows my mind. Do you think the band has any idea that their fans are this batshit? If so it's no wonder they're trying to change their image and get rid of the existing fanbase.

Anonymous said...

I never knew what it was that people disliked about Eliza so much. People said she was desperate, and a stalker, but most of us and been in love. If she was painfully in love with him, then when he broke up with her (if it was him that did it) only to flaunt his new wife in public a few months later then, it must have been very painful for her.

Can you imagine being in that position?

Anonymous said...

I always kind of sympathised with Eliza. Yes, she was kind of nutso and pathetic, and she never should have cheated with Gerard (if there was a Kat) but what always got me was that fans blamed her for it exclusively. I never understood that. It's not like she held a gun to Gerard's head and made him cheat. He was as much to blame as she was yet people hated her and continued to think he was blameless.

Anonymous said...

Because they chose to ignore their hero. No way could he be a serial shagger. That's too much to bear from the one who asked them not to flash their tits at 'shitty-ass rock-dudes'.

If there was no Kat though, it means he never cheated.

There was certainly something odd about the whole thing.

Anonymous said...

I have always felt sorry for Eliza. She has admitted to having some emotional instability in the past and her relationship with him seemed to have put a huge strain on her. Of course she left hints on her blogs and took pictures of herself with a ring finger that said taken and bla bla. She was desperate for some kind of validation from the man who told her he was going to marry her but kept her hidden like he was ashamed. I talked to someone who knows her about it and he said when she came back from California after Gerard called from Europe and basically said, it's over get out of the apartment, she was a wreck. But she seems to have gotten herself together and is doing well.

What he did to her after the break up was just terrible. He did everything he could to try and hurt her. Telling magazines that he had to get rid of the terrible people in his life and how Lindsey more or less made his last ex look like shit, made me cringe. Even now MCR fans flood the American Idol forums talking about what a whore she is and that she "blew" everyone on Warped and used Gerard for his fame. It's so sad. But if you dare to mention Lindsey's sudden arrival and her band riding MCR's coattails all the way to the bank they go crazy.

And it makes me dislike Alicia even more. Eliza was supposed to be one of her best friends and then ended up turning on her. She would have nothing to do with her after Gerard dumped her and then went on to embrace Lindsey with open arms. All of it makes me sad. Sorry that got a little long winded but I have always felt what happened to Eliza was cruel.

Anonymous said...

People hated on Eliza because she acted like an utter idiot and an attention seeker online.

She had her friends trolling the MCR LJ communities and trying to stir up drama; collecting IP addresses of people who called her out on her bullshit. That is not the MO of an 'innocent' person.

Face it, she loved everything dating Gerard brought her, until she didn't have him anymore, then she was 'so glad to be single'.

I might have been able to give her the benefit of the doubt, after all this, had she not been videotaped laughing and giggling about using a racial slur. That just placed the cherry on top of the cake for me.

It's quite tragic for her that her use of that disgusting word is the main reason she never made it past the second heat in American Idol. She must be kicking herself now, because like Frank's tweets, that shit is always going to be around to haunt her.

Anonymous said...

I think that's one of the reasons that Gerard finds it necessary to shit all over The Black Parade in interviews now. Eliza was in LA with him when that album was being recorded and she made it clear in some of her myspace blogs that certain songs were "about my life."

Gerard is probably trashing TBP in part to get back at her and to make Lindsey feel like the record that she "inspired" is so much better.

Anonymous said...

He's an idiot. He needs to leave his personal life out of his professional one or he's going to wind up without a professional life at all.

Anonymous said...

It's worth pointing out that Eliza got exactly what she dished out when Alicia ditched her. Eliza's friend Meghan Mayhem was dropped like a hot rock when she gave away details of Gerard's relationship with Kat on LJ while trying to defend Eliza. Eliza apparently cut her off as a form of damage control.

This is the problem with anyone, not only the women who come into contact with this band. They all start behaving like a bunch of self-serving assholes. Just because people hate Eliza does not mean they conclude Gerard was 'in the right' with how he treated her. Why do you think they got together in the first place? They're both as selfish as each other.

Anonymous said...

None of these people seem to even remotely understand the meaning of friendship. To them, other people are just the things you use to further your own ends.

And by 'these people' I mean the band, the wives and all their various hangers-on.

They are all to be pitied because they've traded in their souls for a little bit of fame.

Anonymous said...

She was desperate for some kind of validation from the man who told her he was going to marry her but kept her hidden like he was ashamed.

This is why i feel sorry for her. She felt the need to have a man to make her seem important. I was one of them that felt she was an attention seeker. However the way he dumped her was very unmanly and i have to say, i felt for her. I have a teen son and he has started dating girls (holy crap!)and one thing i stress to him ,don't break a girls heart. There is a right way to break up with them and i can honestly say, he is friends with all of them.

I don't have the link but she said:

Except there is no crime.
There's no mystery to solve. Just two people who happen to know each other and neither of them will talk about their persoanl lives.

Oh, and for the record? All you and everyone elses babbling about how Kat was 'sooo much better' because she 'respected his privacy'.

Kat was not 'respecting his privacy.'
Kat was intensely unsupportive and the reason you never saw her around is because she never was around. She refused to even walk never in him in public. You call THAT a 'good girlfriend'??
You guys know NOTHING about Kat. You don't even know her real name or what she looks like, yet you reveille her 'an angel' and swear she's the best thing since sliced bread?? Rediculous."

I never understood why she and Alicia but "rediculous" and not "ridiculous".

I'm pretty sure I can find it but it might take a while.

Anonymous said...

I don't think it was Eliza who booted Meghan out for that comment. Pretty sure that it was Alicia because she was getting heat from Mikey.

Alicia is not exactly known for her loyalty.

Anonymous said...

Why do you think Mikey was giving Alicia heat and about what?

Anonymous said...

No, it was Eliza and The Miss E. The Miss E ran the WMHC forums. A few days after Meghan's email where she slagged off Kat was leaked, Meghan tried to log onto the forum and found she'd been banned. By Miss E.

Miss E and Eliza tried to disown Meghan to stay out of trouble with Gerard and MCR. I guess it was too little too late. Eliza was dumped a few weeks later, after the 'N*gger' video surfaced.

Anonymous said...

If Gerard was so concerned over the N*gga comment, then why did he hook up with MSI? Why is it okay for them to say it but not Eliza?

Anonymous said...

Why do you think Mikey was giving Alicia heat and about what?

The WMHC had run its course as far as fans were concerned at that point. There had to be some damage control. Mikey couldn't exactly dump Alicia so Alicia had to rethink her BFFs.

Anonymous said...

But she's still friends with Miss E and Sarah. If Chris wasn't so loyal to Eliza, she probably be friends with him.

Anonymous said...

It kills me how these people actually went online and slugged it out with fans. MCR and their 'entourage' are like the Jerry Springer of rock bands.

She didn't say anything about specific songs. She just said something like 'the songs you are listening to are about my life....listen closely.'

I think that was around the time Gerard was in Australia right before they got engaged.

Anonymous said...

If Gerard was so concerned over the N*gga comment, then why did he hook up with MSI? Why is it okay for them to say it but not Eliza?

Because Gerard is a stupid hypocrite along with his amazing wife.

Gerard was worried about the fallout a dumb little white girl saying that word would have, and the impact on his reputation. MSI hide their racism behind the guise of 'art', so he can distance himself from it somewhat.

I just think Eliza wanted to be open about her boyfriend. At the end of the day, if you're going to marry someone, then why should you have to keep it a secret? You should be proud of the person you are going to marry.

Anonymous said...

It's one thing to be open, another to argue with fans who don't like you. What's the point?

Anonymous said...

The fans wouldn't have disliked Eliza so much if they had believed they were really together. Thing is, people denied it for months. Even after the ring turned up because of Gerard's story about breaking up with Kat during the recording of TBP. Everyone knew Eliza had been with him in LA so to accept that the two of them were dating was to accept that he had probably cheated.

The fans wanted to believe he was above that.

Anonymous said...

If anyone refused to acknowledge your existence publicly doesn't that tell you something? Like there is something wrong with the whole relationship and maybe you shouldn't be with them? Instead of sneaking around on the internet getting attention.

Anonymous said...

Not everyone who saw Eliza for the crazycase she was idolized Gerard.

Some people think they both fucked the whole thing up from the get go: him lying and cheating and her expliting the attention her hint-dropping got her by charging $100 for a haircut and setting up amazon wishlists for the fangirls to pay for.

If anyone can look at Eliza and see some victim who was 'taken for a ride' then I pity them. She knew what she was doing and she loved every minute of it until it turned sour.

Truth is, she was little more than a bedwarmer and a dirty little secret for Gerard. That should tell you all you need to know about him, too.

Anonymous said...

Eliza wasn't seeking validation from the internet fans. She was seeking attention. Just like every other idiot in that 'crew' she belonged to.

Anonymous said...

It does. It also tells me that the person who uses others like this doesn't think much of himself either.

Anonymous said...

I just love the fact that Gerard et al clearly thought this would all somehow not leak out to the fandom at large. I mean, seriously. How dumb do they have to be?

Anonymous said...

How do you know she was just a bedwarmer? Is that an assumption or, have you read/heard that somewhere?

I heard that Brian hated Eliza, and the WMHC. I wonder if that's true.

He probably at least has an invoice due them for the ten thousand packs of advil he had to buy when they were flapping their gums all over the internet.

You must be new to the epic tale of romance between ~Emma and Paul.

Anonymous said...

I wonder how much Lindsey knows of Eliza and the whole sordid affair. Maybe Gerard told her she was one of the many groupies they encountered.

Anonymous said...

No - I saw the Emma and Paul thing. I read like someone very much in love, and you're right, from that he seemed to treat her like shit. But, that's only her side. I guess we'll never know his side, or his personal feelings about it all.

If his shouting about how happy he was just after, then that almost seems like he was trying to get back at her, or someone, for something. If he was trying to get back at her, then he must have had some feeling for her...otherwise, why bother? Why be that cruel just for the sake of it? I think he's stupid, but I dont think he's cruel like that.

I'm I wrong?

Anonymous said...

I seriously don't think that people like Gerard and Lindsey share the same ideas of fidelity in relationships that most of us do. I doubt they are 'exclusive' in their relationship so 'cheating' and having sex with groupies, hairdressers, random roadies, techs, the next door neighbor and whoever else they might fancy probably isn't a big deal for them.

Anonymous said...

I remember I read somewhere that a group of MCR fans were mobbing Lyn-Z once after a show, and someone yelled out Eliza's name, or asked her what she thought about Eliza. Apparently she looked mortified, and a little scared. And she didn't respond with anything.

Anonymous said...

Sorry - IT read like someone very much in love.

I do think he's that cruel. I think he's a narcissist who only thinks about himself.

I feel sorry for anybody he's involved with.

But why do you think he's that cruel? Based on what?

Anonymous said...

I agree, he seems to only think of himself. It could be part of emotional immaturity on his part.

Anonymous said...

It read like someone very much in love.

Did you and I read the same 'story'?

The one where she stalked him after 'seeing his picture in a magazine' and hung around countless times at shows after he'd told her to go home?

The story where she had him pinned to the bed in a hotel room and he was asking her to get off, but then gave in and let her kiss him?

The story that made her sound like a complete and total obsessed creeper loony? From her own lips?

That's not love. That's a problem.

Anonymous said...

What if Lynz was always involved, as suggested, and Eliza was his bit on the road? What if Lynz was aware of this and brushed it off, knowing it wasn't too serious?

Anonymous said...

I also thinks he has a tendency to react more than think. Or maybe over thinks then does the opposite.

Anonymous said...

Yes, you're right, it is a problem...but then obsessive love is. Or, maybe just obession?

Anonymous said...

While Lyndsey was trying to develop her "career" she accepted Eliza knowing it wasn't really serious? Eliza was trying to make it serious.

Anonymous said...

And then...why put himself in the situation where he was alone with her if she was such a pest? Why ask her to marry him? Why let it spiral?

Whatever. Eliza thought she was in love. I'm sure when they got together she had all the chemical reactions in her brain that told her she was in love.

Was it healthy? No. But I'm sure it felt real to her.

I still think he kept Eliza around so people wouldn't think he was bi or gay. Yes, i would say Eliza stalked him because why would she follow him around for that many yrs? In the Emma story she made it sound like she "loved" him before she ever met him. She knew what she wanted and got it before she even had a relationship with him. I do however think he stung her along knowing that at anytime he could of gotten rid of her but didn't. I think he grew comfortable around her since she was always there. Honestly i think people should give Eliza a free pass seeing as she put up with his diva ass that long.

Anonymous said...

He nearly married Eliza. Why get engaged to a stalker? Because she wasn't one, and because he liked having her around and he fell in with her crowd and his brother's crowd. The same way he did with Lindsey and MSI when she was finally around all the time.

Anonymous said...

That's exactly what I think he did. It makes sense when you think about it.

He nearly married Eliza. Why? Because he turned 30. His little brother got married. All the other guys in the band were getting married.

As far as the baby thing goes, I think Lindsey knew that he would be more likely to stay with her if she got pregnant. Also, she'd get more money out of him if he left her with a child. Women have babies for this reason all the time.
