That was my experience as well. Gerard was very drunk but very nice the first time I met him. He was so nice to everyone and he was giving out hugs like there was no tomorrow.
The second time I met him he seemed uncomfortable like he didn't really know what to say and he had trouble meeting my eyes.
The last time I met him...well, I didn't actually get to speak to him. He was just there and he was not in the mood to speak to or talk to fans. I just passed him by and talked to Frank and Ray.

Well awkward Gerard is exactly that. He was just really awkward, but very sweet and unassuming. A regular guy, who did appear uncomfortable, but he was all there still. It seemed to still matter to him. I like to think I'm over MCR, and I pretty much am, but talking about old GW makes me remember what a sweetheart he was.

The Gerard I kind of "met" at PR was not a sensitive guy who had hardened himself emotionally. He seemed angry and put-out that he had to deal with people at all. He was obnoxious and he was being a jerk to everyone around him. I had a VIP pass, but I didn't want to get within 50 feet of the guy.
I'd met the shy, awkward guy once before too and I can tell you, this was a completely different person.
You can never go back to being the person you were with certain experiences. Many very sweet people are more "people pleases" than anything else, and feel unhappy within. Being able to assert oneself may not please the people around you, but could be one step ahead for you emotionally, before you really find your ground.
You can only learn and hopefully mature from them. I'm hoping he is trying to find a happy medium between appearing like a ass or a super sweet guy.

I honestly don't think she had any input in MSI's decisions. Jimmy Piss may be an annoying ass, but it's basically his band isn't it? I think she was pretty irrelevant back then. Infact she only became relevant when her marriage to GW increased MSI's fanbase by tenfold. If Jimmy Piss wasn't so motivated by money, that would have hurt more.
I would say that Lindsey wasn't in a relationship back then. You can never know how exes would react if they would read bullshit about Gerard bragging about 'picking up were they left off'. It could be that the person would get mad as fuck and would start telling little secrets.
That's why I think that he has never been in a real relationship before. He constantly offends his ex-girlfriends in interviews and I find it weird that they all keep quiet about it. They're either totally happy that they got rid of him and don't care anymore or those relationships and engagement only exist in his head.

I could easily subscribe to the theory that both Eliza and Lindsey are beards and that the marriage is just one of convenience for the two of them. They both seem so iffy in the sexuality department and except for Eliza, nobody has any real evidence of any exes... no matter what friends of friends or some vague magazine article says. If there's no picture and no real flesh and blood individual to say, "Hey, I'm Kat and I was Gerard's ex," then it would be too easy for it to be all made up.
I don't think Lindsey is more than just a paid 'performer' who comes onstage to play the part of MSI's bassist, irl. She got the part based on the way she looks (all trashy and faux hxc) and the fact that she can breathe fire and do backbends. She has no input into the music at all.

This. I belonged to MCR communities when they were first starting up and I remember people hunting everywhere for evidence of the elusive "Kat". Lots of pictures were put forward and all of them were always shot down. If two or three pictures of Gerard with the same girl, tickling her and twirling her around existed, I would have seen them. I have not.

If I was you, anon, and would be such a devoted fan of Gerard's I would really hope that 'Kat' was only his 'girlfriend from Canada', because if she was real then... man, did he screw her over or what? Also, I have some friends who used to be fans of MSI. They said that their earlier fans were older and that they took their lyrics to be satirical, but that the newer fans are younger and really stupid. They just come to the shows to get as fucked up and wasted as they can get. She says you can't go to an MSI show anymore without feeling like you're coated in grime by the time you leave.

I know this is late, but at the Hello Kitty Party (lol) Lindsey looks rather annoyed that the interviewer asks her if she's Gerard's wife. I guess she's still not over being known only as "Mrs. Blah, Blah." But then, if she were just MSI's bassist, then she wouldn't be recognized at all, so I don't really see what her problem is.
