Well I was a very big fan of Robin Williams and I just want to say how sorry I am for his family's loss. And his fans too though to a much lesser degree obviously.
Please, anyone who reads this, if you are suffering from depression and/or are having suicidal thoughts, REACH OUT. Someone, or maybe many people out there care about you and someone will be willing to help you. You are not alone.
I also heard about the abuse that his daughter suffered online after his death. I have always stood against that kind of behavior. Even when Gerard and Frank were sending violent tweets to fans and ex fans... it's bullying. It causes harm.
RIP Robin Williams. You brought joy to so many. It's a tragic shame that you couldn't hold onto enough joy for yourself.

Apparently now Gerard Way is talking about how he relapsed back into alcoholism. I haven't thought about him in months, and although I used to post here a lot, I hadn't been to this site for a very long time, but after reading that he admitted to relapse, I felt vindicated. I think all of us who used to post here have been vindicated.
We started posting here originally because we were worried about him. As time went on, we became disillusioned and upset because of his actions, while his sheep-like fans refused to see the writing on the wall. I wonder how those people feel now.
I have nothing but nostalgia for the period in my life when I was an MCR fan. My feelings about Gerard's relapse are no longer as strong as they were back then, but I hope now that he has admitted to what all of us here already knew, that he will clean up his act for good. Somehow I doubt it. Part of me just suspects that he's using this for publicity for his new solo album. After all, the reformed drug addict/alcoholic bit worked pretty well for MCR.

And, Disneyworld is in Florida (and is HUGE) and Disneyland is in California, and is just one small-ish park as far as I know.

I'm thinking of saying a little something about how to raise a feminist son - but there's only so much I can do once he get out into the world. The best I can do is give him a solid start, and teach him respect and point out sexism and inequality so that he's aware of it and knows it's wrong. And then just hope for the best when he goes to school and meets other people's kids.

Adam Lazzara is a wanna be rawk staw. The singer for the has been band Taking Back Sunday who fired all of the real talent years ago. They never had the hits to compete with Fall Out Boy, Panic! or MCR. That's why you've never heard of him. He's a good enough looking man to draw some fangirls in but he's a mediocre singer and a horrible songwriter. I don't know of one person who can name one song that they've done. Hi, all! I was, and remain, O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D! with FFVII. You had to see me jump around the room when I saw that trailer for the remake. Actual tears! I am still flipping out!
I'm flipping out for another reason, too. I think Miss T is the only one who knows it so far, but I will totally come back and make an announcement, if all goes well, next week. :) just, everyone keep your fingers crossed for me! ^_^
I've been following this blog for almost a year now, mostly because I was a fan of My Chem (I was very critical though) Even after they broke up. I noticed that I was one of the few fans that disagreed with a lot of what they said/did, such as the shit they said on twitter, the affiliation with MSI, TBP and Danger Days not being "the greatest album in the world" etc. I also wanted to thank the women on here for not only opening my eyes to a lot of things but creating this blog. It was good to know that I wasn't the only fan with a differing opinion. I admire a lot of you on here as well.

JK actually calls people out A LOT on Twitter. She doesn't suffer fools. Like, at all. But I thought this was funny, because of the phrase she used. Some idiot makes a crass, ignorant comment, and she tells them, "You're an idiot."
Made me stop and reflect. That's the exact phrase I said to a certain someone many, many years ago, that enraged her so much she ended up emailing my boss over something else I had posted (that had nothing to do with her.) I'm sure most of you remember that.
It all turned out well for me, in the end, because when I look back at the trajectory of my career and choices since then, that was the catalyst I needed to get started. Go back to school, get a job I liked, one where I could raise a child and make my own hours, that kind of thing. Who knows what would have gone differently in my life if I hadn't used those three little words, to call out someone who'd said something awful?

I don't think JK Rowling needs any kind of life-changing good luck. But it made me think about it for a while today. I love JK Rowling. Good for her. ^_^
Sometimes the catalyst in our lives are what drives us to question what we really want and to do something about it.

NIIIICE! I'm a little behind on my WG reading. Right now I'm reading Claire North. She is TERRIFIC btw. "Harry August" was amazing; I could not put it down.
4:30 - he's gotten so smart he's starting to freak me out. He's two years and two months. Counts to twenty. To ten in Spanish. Knows the alphabet, and all his shapes and all the colors (even pink, purple, TEAL, WTF.) Gets the idea of "today" and "tomorrow" and "later." He can count objects, too, as well as knowing numbers by rote, and also recognizes numerals up to ten. It is kind of weird, watching him figure all of this stuff out!
Still picking on Mya I see. Even though she has more than paid her dues.

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you all.
I'm curious ; when did you guys start listening to mcr? Or, how did you find out about them? I was very, very young when they "got big" during the Revenge era I was around 5 or 6 at the time.
In my sophomore year of high school, (almost two years ago) is when I started listening to their other material (besides Helena, WTTBP, etc) I even bought their Bullets cd not so long ago.
A lot of kids on Tumblr/Instagram (and by kids I mean 14/15 yr olds) worship mcr, Gerard's music and Frank's music as well. The fandom hasn't changed at all. Some even worship MSI and Lindsey. It's really sad tbh.
Okay, here is my news! I got offers from not one, but TWO literary agencies to rep my novel (and any future novels,) to sell to publishers. Today, I got the call from the second agent, who works with a really, like, super BIG literary agency. The call went really well, and I am going to sign with her. ^_^
For a writer, that's like, HUGE, and the agency I'm signing with has repped books that have been turned into movies. The agent loves my manuscript, loves my writing, and she wants to be my career agent. :DDDDDDD
I am SO THRILLED I can't even tell you!

Yup, SF! A time-travel one, that's the completed one that's going out on submission. I have another one that I did for NaNo this year, that I'll be revising while I'm doing the looooong wait for someone to pick up the first one. And then off we go! :D

I'm plodding along too but having trouble with my thyroid. I woke up this morning with swollen eyes again so I've got to call the Dr again in the morning. I've done a load of googling though and these anti-histamines are useless cos this is all thyroid related and proves the meds aren't working, which is what I've been bloody saying. There is something called thyroid eye disease, I don't have any of the other symptoms but I do have the swelling. I want to see a specialist now. I've printed off loads of stuff to confront the Dr with.
Wish me luck with that, I'll let you know how I get on.
