Recently we've had some trouble with a troll from a certain other blog, and people have been asking me to disable anon comments or install a tracker. I haven't even had a tracker or disabled anons. Anons are an important part of this blog because not everyone wants to use a name. And I try to respect everyone's privacy so I really don't want to use a tracker.
I think we need to ignore trolls from that blog. We have faced worse trolls before, from BN and other places such as that. Places like that are mostly the same, BN, 4Chan, that other blog, and they churn out mostly the same kind of people. When you ignore them they go away.
The "I think you're bothering someone I know" ploy is lame and probably false. If their blog is having a problem, then it's not our fault or our problem. That place has always been a train-wreck, all of a sudden someone wants to blame it on the folks here.

I think it has more to do with the marching band uniforms. I don't think he wants to be constantly reminded of how they appeared.

Interesting theory 5:08 :) I'd like to discuss it further, seems to be the only real thing worth talking about to have popped up this week! What songs/lyrics give you that impression?
There are a lot of reasons why I believe this, 2:51, not the least of which were several things that Gerard said during interviews around the time TBP was released.
He talked about how painful making the album was, about how it was like (paraphrased) "cutting off his eyelids and staring directly into the sun". He also said that in writing that record that he discovered some painful things about himself; he discovered that he wasn't a "good person".
He also went on to talk about the breakup of his relationship with Kat and how he had to fly back to New York in the middle of recording TBP to break up with her.
If you look at the lyrics of Famous Last Words, I believe that it kind of chronicles his breakup with Kat. The "where's your heart" in the beginning seems like Kat's question to him when he told her about needing to end things. The "I'm so weak" probably refers to the cheating with Eliza. "Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven" I think is him saying that he doesn't deserve to be forgiven (especially given the fact that Eliza was in LA with him when he was recording TBP).
There are other lyrics from other songs, but this is the one I think that illustrates where Gerard was at the time the most clearly.
Also, there was that MySpace entry that Eliza made about how the songs we were listening to were about her life.
I don't think Gerard intended to be with Eliza permanently. I just think she was there, she was available and she was convenient and that Gerard was "weak". But, I think that when he finally did ditch Eliza (he broke up with her briefly between Halloween and New Year), the reality of being alone scared the hell out him.
The rumors of him trying to get back with Kat that Christmas ring very true to me because of things he said in interviews during that time. When asked about how he was going to spend his holidays he answered that all he wanted to do was to go stay with his "best friend", pick out a tree and decorate it together - and he said that like it was something that he had done with this person before. The overall tone of his comment was very melancholy and it honestly did not sound to me like he was talking about some dude he went to art school with, but maybe a lost love.
Yes, I realize that it sounds like I was way too invested in Gerard back then, and I admit that I was, but then so were a lot of other people from a certain comm on LJ (now virtually defunct). We were all long time fans, most of whom had met Gerard several times and seen the changes he went through from Bullets to TBP and we were worried about him. We came up with this theory over a period of time and had a lot of articles and quotes and things to back it all up.
At this point, I don't really care all that much anymore. I'm not an MCR fan now, but it's still kind of interesting to me to go back and read the conversations I had with other fans at the time and the theory we came up with. I thought you guys might be interested too.

FLW is definitely a song about Mikey, even down to the lines "i see you lying next to me, with words I thought i'd never speak" - this refers to how Mikey used to sleep in G's room at the Paramour. And the words he thought he'd never speak was that he was letting Mikey leave the band. Thats why the lyrics said "I'm incomplete" - a reference Gerard has made many times about the period without Mikey in the band. Mikey said when he heard the finished version of that song it made him change his mind about leaving and he settled on a 'vacation' instead.
I could tell you more, including how Eliza fits into all of it, but meh, s'probably well boring to all of you.

I think FLW was def about Mikey and for Mikey. After playing that song at the show I was at (way back in 2007) Gerard gave Mikey the biggest hug and it looked from where I was (barrier) that the song meant something to both of them. Mikey wiped his eye, he may have been getting emotional, he may have just had dirt in his eye. But, yeah, that song was for Mikey not Eliza IMHO.

Gerard is going to be at this year's Comic Con. Which is weird, considering that he hasn't had a comic out in quite a while. I haven't heard any news on the new comic at all.

Sure, everyone makes typo's but this wasn't a typo, it was the incorrect use of a homophone.
