BETCHA' DIDNT KNOW...... 20 weird fucked up facts about me...
1. the sound of cotton balls/swabs/the cotton in the top of medicine bottles (the squeak it makes) drives me insane. i get a metalic taste in my mouth/salivate/goosebumps/and i literally curl up in a ball. i cannnnnt handle it at ALLLLLLLLLL.
2. i went 2 yrs without washing my hair and/or getting it wet. (no i never even went swimming) and trust me IT DIDNT SMELL (suprisingly, ask ppl who knew me then, they were all just as confused.)
3. ive only had very few boyfriends in my life, because i was always touring/going to shows and no one understood... and/or i was too busy to commit. being from missouri didnt help much either. but now i have found my other half for life. :)
4. im kinda obsessed w/ doing arts and crafts... painting/building/carving/molding/sewing/Y

5. my ideal job is being involved w/ one of the following: archeology, paleontology, NASA, historian (specifically, the mayan/incan/aztecs, greek/romans, egypt, or, ww2), or severe weather (ie, hurricanes/tornados/earthquakes/volcanos/tsunamis etc)
6. i never got to see the ocean til i was 17 yrs old. i love the ocean and mikey does not (obviously). even though i have spent MONTHS living right on the water in venice beach, and traveled to many other beaches around the US on tour, i have never been IN the ocean... and that bums me out. i want to go scuba diving in crystal clear water sooo bad.
7. i know how to work on cars/motorcycles. and can fix most anything electronic, as well (hince, my job).
8. i get realllly lazy when im by myself, but when ppl are around, i like to clean like a maniac and everything to be super nice and organized at alllll times. im that way w/ working out too... alone = lazy... w/ a group = workout queen.
9. im a REALLLLY good driver. like, really good. never even had a close call. and everyone always comments on how shocked they are. think of it this way... where i grew up, you had to drive 15 mins to get to "town". and the nearest "city" where anything actually happened was kansas city, an hr away. hell, my drive way growing up was nearly a half mile. so, i had alot of practice i guess.
10. my moms ex-husband had a pet komodo dragon (how? no one knows. he was a sketchy dude.), which is HIGHLY leathal to humans in a 10 ft tank in our living room. greeeeeeat idea. it one day ate a whole rabbit and threw it back up the next day in the EXACT same shape and form of a rabbit sitting there being cute minding its own buisness, only completely FUR-LESS. it was all yellow and white and you could see all the fat and muscles. it seriously warped my childhood.
11. prior to touring w/ alot of the bands ive worked for. i did not know them at all. in fact, w/ fall out boy, i learned their names via my sidekick at the airport on the way to the first show. (pete and i only knew eachother from us talking on warped tour 2004 for about 5 mins one day and that was it).
12. im obsessed w/ prison tv shows/movies (shawshank redemtion/the green mile/dead man walking/prison break/etcetcetc) and cry like a baby when a good guy dies. i guess i wanna go to a prison? (or, see: below.)
13. my mom was in federal prison for 6 mths when i was 12/13.............. if you must know, it wasnt a violent or drug related crime. she worked for the government (as does my dad and stepmom) and her job was to approve ppl's addresses of ppl who got social security checks... well, her CRAZY mentally abusive husband (see: komodo dragon, above) convinced her -my mother is manic depressive- to change the ppl who had died's addresses to her address and since she had access to their social security numbers she could cash them. so, she/he recieved 60 checks totalling $175,000 worth of government money and was sentenced to 6 mths federal prison and he got like, 9 yrs or some shit for other (unknown to us) drug charges. she would have gotten away w/ this if she hadnt filed for devorce from him and he and thier friends (who were also recieveing checks) turned her in..... which is kinda insane to think about. but my mom single handedly changed the way that social security is run by its employees (i dunno if thats a good thing).
14. i once turned DOWN a chance of getting to meet/hang out w/ my fav band metallica. because, i didnt wanna "ruin" thier "godly-ness" to me. i didnt want to think of them of being "just cool dudes"... i want them to forever be ... "METALLICA!" meeting ur fav band is sometimes a good way of ruining thier music for you.
15. i have really weird skin. (that sounds gross, but i dont mean it like that)... i just have a thing where my hair is too fine to push through my skin making little tiny ingrown hairs that look like i have the goosebumps on my arms and legs even in the summer. (the only thing that makes them go away is being in the sun..... alot.) alot of ppl have this.
16. i have the most fucked up sleeping schedual ever. i can stay up for days, and/or sleep for days, on command, either way.
17. i usually sleep w/ a bra on. weird, i know. comes w/ touring w/ boys.... u never take that thing off. haha.
18. i have to read everyone on my buddylist's away msg before i can go to sleep. talk about being a creep. sup, ocd much?
19. i wish i could wear high heeled shoes w/o being freakishly tall. they would make me 6'2/6'3ish. and because of this prob, i still dont know how to walk in them. (reason #087342504875 why im a dude)
20. both of my parents have been married 4 times a each. yet, i only have 2 half brothers. (older= mom, younger= dad.)

People on oiha were really mean. They felt that Alicia was taking advantage of Mikey. You have to remember that Mikey had that image of being the shy, asthmatic kid who wouldn't talk to anybody back then. Sorry to hear about your friend. I'm don't know the full story because I never go to Mayo's (because I too, hate what goes on there - all the secrecey[sp?] and internal bitching/attacking) but it sounds like who ever did that was way out of line.
It makes me sad that we have people like that here too. I think that some people there is to quick to call others "attention whores" when really they are trying to get something off their chest that they might not be able to with family or friends. Talking to people on the internet is much easier than talking to someone face to face. I wish people would remember that.
VV, I know that people still need to "vent", even though we talk about the same things over and over. I think you should shut this place down. This place has said what needs to be said. We all know how fake they are. But it's been a good while. It's time to move on. This place is becoming more like Mayo's every day. It needs to be stopped.
It's been very obvious to me recently that people from mayo's have started coming here more and more. You can tell by the whole attitude of the place and the way that they are all so easy to jump down anyone's throat at the slightest misstep.
I don't know why, but they've started to come here as anonymous and have completely changed the feel of the place. I rarely come anymore because I don't like it anymore. Many of the people that come on now are irrational with hot tempers.

Kapuna - I'm sorry you lost someone close to you. If you ever want to talk to someone and you feel like you can't do it at Mayo's then please come here and talk to us about it. I will listen to you and give you kind words when you need to read them. This place doesn't have to be about MCR 24-7 and the majority of people who post are sweet, intelligent individuals who I'm sure have big hearts to match yours. They will understand you and probably help you too. This places feels like one great big (mainly anonymous) family to me and family help each other.

I am really sorry for your loss. I lost someone I was really close to last year and it still really hurts. If you need to vent feelings you can't in the 'real' world, do so here because I know that the majority of people here seem like nice, decent people who would try to offer words of comfort. I needed to talk last year and I'd tell anyone who'd listen, even people I didn't really know. It wasn't for attention, it's because I needed to speak these thoughts aloud and make sense of them outside my own head. I too have stayed anonymous for quite some time now. Having a name - especially when that name is just typed in with no actual blog backing it as they can be copied - does not prevent any problems. In fact, most of the problems I've had here during my time was with regulars with names.
Please don't shut this place down. This is not Mayo's! I did used to go there and some of the anons were very nasty. These anons that usually post here are very nice and funny people. I was an anon for a very long time here but i made up a name so that i wouldn't get mixed up with a stray anon that come here to start a fight. Over at Mayo's i went by another name but i have stopped going over there because i do like Kapunua and everytime i signed in people would say how bad of a mother i was and that i was stupid. They get really personal over there. This place is no where near what mayo's has become. This is a place i can go and enjoy the opinion of others and laugh about "Uncle Fester" LOL! I think we have a great bunch over here and it would be a shame to shut it down. We can handle the couple of buzznet girls that come over here and tell us that we are a bunch of crazies. I am a long-time poster here, anonymous as I am. I feel it truly has run its course. As someone already said, the same things get mulled over again and again.
I honestly think this place should be shut down. It really has turned into Mayo's, there is no denying that. It doesn't matter if it's the fault of Mayo regulars coming here and stirring shit up. If that's the case, then it's already been tainted.
What was once a place to express our disagreement where other places we couldn't, is now an excuse for people to continue, in some cases, a hateful, unhealthy obsession. I will not name names, but there are definately some like that here.
I don't see why everyone is in such a fuss over if it's kept up or not. Someone here could make a new blog, or people could get together on AOL messenger or Yahoo and chat. Email could be used, too.

What do you mean? I know from my on experience i live in a small town and people (friends) don't even know who MCR is. I can discuss those things here. Plus i have spent the last month baby sitting for my niece and i need to talk about other things other than Spongebob. LOL!

Siobhan, there was no way that MJ could be taken wrong. Someone told Kapu when her grandmother was dying that she deserved to lose her and it was her fault. K politely asked if no one at Mayo's would discuss it when she passed away because she knew they were going to keep saying awful things if it got out. Well the word of her passing got to Mayo's anyway and Kapu once again said she didn't want to talk about it.
That's when MJ posted (anonymously) that Kapu was using her grandmother's death for attention. She eventually came forward and said it was her but only after people were saying they knew who the anon was who said that disgusting thing.
And she went on and on and on about it, and then for a few days after that kept anonymously coming on and playing the 'if you know who I am why don't you email me' game, like the whole thing was a game to her.
There is no mistake. It was awful. I felt sad for everyone who even had to read it.

Matthew Pelissier, the original drummer for the mega-selling rock act My Chemical Romance, is suing Eyeball Records and his former bandmates for breaching an agreement made upon his departure from the group. In a complaint filed in New Jersey County Court, Pelissier claims that in 2005, the band agreed upon his split that he "shall have an undivided twenty percent income interest in Net Master Income and the Group Masters."
Pelissier claims he hasn't received royalties due to him, including from the band's debut album, "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love." The complaint states that the album sold more than 285,000 copies in retail outlets, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and more via iTunes.
However, the 2005 agreement also gives Pelissier no right to audit or inspect Eyeball Records' books. The lawsuit claims this provision is not valid or enforceable. This puts Pellissier in a tough position: Trying to enforce the validity of one part of a contract and render another part as unlawful. Tis the life of a drummer.

I also know that cigarettes are a highly addictive substance; not only is there a chemical reaction within your brain to induce cravings, but research has also shown that long term habits create new neural pathways, making stopping a habit very, very difficult.

If Gerard was talking about smoking on his twitter, I don't think there is any speculation as to whether or not he is still smoking.
And no, nobody knows whether or not Lindsey is still smoking, but one would sincerely hope that she quit, considering that expectant moms who smoke run a considerable risk of miscarriage, early delivery, and having low birth weight (and therefore more fragile) babies.
Then there is the issue that Gerard and Lindsey are now responsible for taking care of and providing for the infant for the next twenty-odd years (until such time as the child can become self-sufficient). This means that their health is important not only for themselves and each other, but for the child as well. When you think about it, smoking is an irresponsible thing for a parent to do, period.
I think both Gerard and Lindsey should stop smoking for the benefit of the baby. But guess what? I would feel the same way about any other set of expectant parents. Therefore, I do not think we are judging them any more harshly than we would judge anyone else.
I know smoking is addictive and it's very hard to quit. But hey, life is tough. And if Gerard expects Lindsey to quit herself (which, if he is a good husband and father, he would expect that -- no question) he would make the same sacrifice himself. I think a healthy baby would be worth the sacrifice.
