MSI are in Kerrang. The tour they're on got 5 stars, but it was the Kerrang tour so it's not like they aren't going to be biased. Surprise! I checked out the link to lj and I scrolled down aways and saw that the first album was coming out on vinyl as well.
My question is why all the vinyl. Most of the fans don't have record plays and they probably already own more than one copy of each MCR CD.
Is it just because they really want to milk the remain fans for as much money as they can. Because it is a really stupid way of doing it. Here buy this shit that y
have already bought before and that you can get for less than $1/10 on itunes. Also we won't be giving you anything special with. There might be a picture on it or it might be the color red.
What else should they do to make it look like a special edition, MJ? I think it's the cheapest way for them to make some extra money with their old crap.
Also, they might see those vinyl editions more as some kind of collectors item that you don't actually use. Just like nerds as Gerard buy action figures without taking them out of their packing and not playing with it.
Vinyl does sound different than CDs/mp3s. However, I doubt that most of the kids who buy MCR records do have turntables and expensive speakers, etc. required to get the most out of the vinyls these guys are selling.
I think for older music enthusiasts who have the money and proper equipment, vinyl is a good idea. But to be marketing it to teens as a collector's item is just the label milking the fans for all they can get.
To add to that, from what I read on that lj site, a lot of those kids don't even have the 99 cents they need to buy the mp3.
I hope Gerard enjoys the stupid action figures, jabba globs and monkey rentals that he's buying with the money he's getting from poor kids who have to scrape and save to buy his stupid LEs/collector's editions, etc.

It's not that hard to take care of vinyl. I have very old LP's and singles from my childhood days and I still listen to them from time to time. Old soundtracks like 'The Lost Boys', 'Fright Night', 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' etc. If you're not competing in a scratching contest and don't jump around next to the record player you can have a lot of fun with it for a long time.
In a few years they'll be saying, "this band took all of my money so I had to go to some cheap-ass junior college and then I flunked out because I was too busy writing Frerard slash to do any studying... My life is shit and it's all MCR's fault!"

No; I wouldn't go to a concert where I thought that the band sucked enough to have crappy fans in the first place.
I don't make fun of those kids. Hell, I remember being 14 and going to see Ozzy, and dancing my fool head off. Or even Bon Jovi, who was huge back then. Or any of the bands I went to see play as a kid. And if I'd been dancing my fool head off, and the lead singer's girlfriend was mean enough to make fun of how I was dancing, I'd feel pretty upset.
I don't make fin of the MCR fangirls; most of them are just kids who are into their first huge band, and they're making memories with that band that they'll either cherish or laugh about when they're grown--or both. :)
It sucks that someone like Gerard is taking advantage of them, however. Making them moan for him, treating them like dirt etc. all while his wife laughs at them.
I'm sure it's not going to scar them for life or anything, but that doesn't make it nice of either of them.

We can have our own opinion of her and there are people that think she is a kick ass bass player can have their opinion of her. There are other sites where you can go where people have the same opinions as you about Lindsey. We are allowed to feel any way we want concerning Lindsey.

I don't know. I also had my favorite bands and artists as a teenager and just like those MCR fan girls I felt hurt and got defensive when someone made fun of them. But then, I also wasn't stupid and used my brain and no matter how big my crush on some cute celebrity was, I knew or at least felt when they tried to screw me over and take advantage of me. If they said one thing in an interview and then did the complete opposite I started to think. And that's what makes me crazy when thinking about those fan sheep. They might be very young and infatuated but being young and having a crush doesn't necessarily have to mean that you can't use your brain anymore and have eyes for the obvious fuckery that is taking place.
I used to get offended by things people said on stafoo back in the day because I was very into MCR and I worried that Gerard might be offended. But did I go there and bitch at the girls who were making those posts? No. I just chose to stop reading them.

Gerard used to be nice to fans. I met him a couple of times in 05 and he was great. But he changed. When I met him during The Black Parade Tour, he didn't give any of the fans the time of day and it was a scheduled meet and greet! And one of my friends went to a meet and greet where he didn't even have the decency to show up. The excuse was that he was spending time with his fiance (Eliza).
The excuses fans make for his behavior are getting old and wearing thin. Eventually fans are going to have to admit he's just a douche and that's pretty much all there is to it.
Most people don't like to think bad things about their heroes. But the problem with MCR is that they are the ones who said they would save your lives - they are the ones who started the whole thing, not the fans. Then of course the fans started saying MCR had saved their lives. Sorry to overpost but this is a hilarious thing that I remember from back in 1994. Eddie Vedder went to the EMAs then and he was acting all, you know, Eddie Vedderish. After the show, Janeane Garofulo used to have these little satirical commercial spots on MTV where she would be "teaching" a bunch of little kids about the world. Anyway in one of them she said:
"Eddie Vedder, okay? Here's a novel idea: DON'T GO to the video music awards. This way you don't have to pretend what a great time you're NOT having!"
That's what I thought of when Gerard made that remark. he really should have kept his emo ass at home instead of going up there and acting like a diva tool, throwing his mic to the ground in a little hissy fit and storming off.

In fact, I liked the video for Welcome To The Black Parade tons better when it was called "Heart Shaped Box."

I know this is late, but I had to say something. That EMA performance pissed me off. Hey Gerard, how about you act grateful for even being invited to perform there instead of pitching a total bitch fit. At first, I thought he threw the mic down to look cool or hardcore, but after reading that interview where he talks about missing his wife and all that bullshit, I was ticked the fuck off. Guess what? Lots of people don't get to see thier spouses every second of every day, and you know what they do? They fucking deal with it. How do you think people with loved ones in the army feel?
