".... I've become hateful towards all humans in general....."

Maybe I should have titled this "douchebag disease is contagious"....

Bob Bryer used his Twitter account to write the word "c--t" for all his fans and call it "art" and then, apparently according to someone at the NIN news site, he made a dick move in basically stealing his friend's idea and votes for making money for an animal shelter. Yes an animal shelter got money but he screwed over someone else to do it.

Feel free to pick up the conversations you left off on the other post.....

Hi there, everybody!
I hope you're all well!

I just read a bit of Gerard's latest blog and I get the feeling that he tries to look like a comic and video game geek to impress the male readers of his TUA comic and is not so much talking to the fansheep.
It's a pity that you can't comment on their blog entries. Or can you?

Anonymous said...

Not sure if you can or not.

Not really into that stuff.

I know a lot of male comic book geeks and while most of them agree that TUA is a decent comic, they can't stand MCR. They usually say things like, "TUA is really good. Now hopefully Way will stop making shitty music and focus on what he's really good at."

My point is, no matter how much the comic book geeks love TUA, they aren't likely to be visiting the MCR website.

P.S. A "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG" macro would be perfect right now.

A GUY gets an MCR inspired tatoo

Anonymous said...

Hmm... I wonder how much that guy got paid to do that?

resurrected wreck said...

I would say that's more of a Black Parade/dark marching band tattoo than an MCR one.

I really like TBP's historical yet apocalyptic esthetic, so I can understand why he got this done. It's a great look. Though it it were me I'd have gone for this figure instead.

Anonymous said...

I agree. It's not like the guy had the words "I am not afraid to keep on living" tattooed on his arm.

resurrected wreck said...

Yup. He probably just liked the look. Doesn't mean he's a fan of the music.

resurrected wreck said...

And as he's a trumpet player in a marching band, it suits what he's into.

Anonymous said...

I did see a video on youtube once where some fourteen year old boy got some lyrics from Cancer tattooed on his arm. I remember thinking that fourteen year olds shouldn't be allowed to get tattoos. Imagine having your teenage obsession tattooed on your arm for the rest of your life. *shudders*

How do you guys know whenever something new happens in the MCR and MSI camps? Do you have email alerts, or continuously check their website? Follow them on Twitter?

Strange, after most of you claim to be fed up with both of them.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Anon it isn't anymore strange than you coming in on here to check on us.

But if you must know some of the people here still like their music. We have had msi fans come on here. People in the Uk can walk into almost any store and see that the new issue of Kerrang has msi on it.

We still have have friends that are into MCR that talk about them to us.

Anonymous said...

I find out what's going on with the band mostly from links that get posted to this site.

And yes, I am fed up with the moron who is Gerard Way and I come here to talk to people who are as fed up as I am.

For a while, I hoped that this new and umimproved Gerard might go away and the old Gerard would come back. This is why I was still interested in him. Even so, I don't twitter and I don't check out the website until somebody talks about it here.

It's human nature to want to know what's going on with people you used to care about.

What I don't really understand is why people who still care about and defend Gerard and the band come to this little out-of-the-way corner of the internet to read the opinions of some former fans when obviously it's going to upset them.

sally said...

7:44 some of us have never been interested in the band. as martha stated, we have friends who talk about the band.

i come here as i sometimes find the discussions interesting as the people.

i think they are entitled to voice their opinions, after all, that's all they're doing.

i personally prefer other styles of music.

martha i wanted to leave you the words to the song i posted the other day. i remember you indicated you would like to know what the content of the songs were about. this is a rough translation of chizuru

In your letter are only unreadable characters
I wanted hear it from your mouth
The white I cant get used to is my weak point
Even my sigh echoes

Though if I knew the sky's color, I would be rescued
I'd like to forget that I wasn't able to breathe
(but) even the strength to make that wish seems to dissipate

The you of tomorrow is changing(lying)
when you sing with such passion,
it lulls me to sleep.
Oh but the restraint like thorns, twine about me in sleep.
And even puts my mind to rest.
In my sleep I feel your hot and fevered cheek against me.
And when looking into the blurred gap of reality,
it reveals a dream of shadows, faintly intercepting me,
as it sings through the oak trees.

My eyes reflect the image of you,
And even if the day comes when these eyes lose sight of you,
I'm positive you're burned into these eyes,
even if I leave you.

The white sky that blots out my tears shakes,
I seem to have forgotten how to speak,
Where do the tears flow, and where have they gone?
You're calling my name.
You hold me so tightly and it feels as if I might break.
But I'm afraid.

Where does the sound of your song come from?
My ears can't hear it anymore,
but for the echoes shaking within me.
The cold color of the sky is haunting me, I hold onto the memory of
the warmth, the faint unstable pulse from you, I felt on my cheek for that
one instance,
it almost can't be recalled.

Thousands of tiny wings draw close to me,
as I, recalled of the expectation of your return,
immersed in the cold color of the sky - got one
last time to hear your voice, at your request. In that moment
the sound of your sigh, in the cold white sky.

"Those two will never be united as one being again."

Is Gerard serious? What is this trite about playing Dungeons and Dragons and some other useless crap on his last post? What is wrong with you man?

Does he not realize what is going on in the world other than your bogus auction and your daily consumption of the boob tube. In less than 48 hours, history is about to take place. President Barack Obama will be sworn in to be our 44th President of the United States and instead of talking about something as meaningful as that, what does he do, he writes trivial crap to prove he is still a nerd.

Dude, no on cares that you used to be or are presently a nerd. What you should be worrying about is changing diapers, heating up bottles in the middle of the night, colic, booster shots, school tuition, a future for your future child and especially how the economy is these days.

I honestly thought that he was a person of substance, a person who really had something vital to say other than random shit, but here he is living up to the ideal of what a rock star should be like. We all remember that interview snippet about how he use to love Poison before he got into Iron Maiden and here he is living up to the stereotypical rock star lifestyle. He's even writing about his admiration for the former idol, Bret Michaels, and his retarded show.

P.S. And to the Anon, who posted yesterday at 7AM and thinks that Gerard can never relapse... Honey, go to VH1 and I recommend that you watch, Celebrity Rehab and Sober House. These are two gritty shows that really portrays a true perspective of what addicts endure while trying to stay clean. No one and I mean no one, after years of drug and alcohol consumption can just kick the habit. Now, if you don't have VH1 in your town, or are probably too young to watch this type of programming, then its wiser to just shut you pie hole cause you don't know what your talking about.

Anonymous said...

We all remember that interview snippet about how he use to love Poison before he got into Iron Maiden(...)

Um, nope! I don't remember that, let alone knew that he liked Poison.
Isn't it a bit odd that he was into boobie-rock, or even better said, rock bands which band members were known for being obsessed with big (fake) boobed bimbos and were also more than pleased if those bimbos flashed their tits at concerts?
And yet, he used to preach to his female fans that they should spit in people's faces if they were asked to show their boobs to get backstage passes or to flip them off even when asked by a band themselves during concerts to lift their shirts. Hmmm...
Also, does he really think that a feminist, who he obviously claims to be, would enjoy watching that disgusting reality show with that STD-infested man whore Bret Michaels?
He certainly enjoys seeing the boobs he never got to see in school or at his own shows due to the fact that he tried to act like a 'gentleman-hero' to impress the female buyership back then.
I'm sure he has a lot of catching up to do nowadays.
All those missed opportunities of getting to see fake melons.
And why do I think that the first thing Lindsey does after giving birth to her first child is getting a boob job?

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Hello Siobhan,

From what I remember he used to love poison but than the guy he played D&D with told him poison was a shit band and that Iron Maiden was better.

Anonymous said...

I think she should start with rhinoplastry myself.

Anonymous said...

I think this sums up how so many of us ex-fans used to see Gerard. And it's precisely why we were so taken aback when he started hanging out with people like JU. It's also why people were worried about him when he hooked up with such a shallow person as Eliza and an inarticulate dumbass like Lindsey. It's not that we wanted him for ourselves, we just thought he was selling himself short and that he could do better. HA!

At this point I think he and Lindsey are perfectly suited for each other.

If he doesn't want to go on his website and talk about politics, that's perfectly reasonable and fine. What bothers me is that he seems to be blissfully unaware of the economic crisis in this (and other) countries. As long as he can go on ebay and buy his vintage trashcans and Jabba Globs and Warhammer figures, I'm sure he doesn't give a shit about what's happening to the rest of the world.

What a disappointment he turned out to be.

My God, that moron is really easily manipulated, isn't he?
He really seems to be like a puppy that's only waiting to be trained and taught what it has to like and to dislike, respectively.

He takes self-hatred to a whole different level.

It does show you that what other people thought about something has always mattered more than what he really thought about it.

As for his blogs, I'm beginning to almost feel sorry for Lynz. She has to put up with him talking about cereal and peg-warming. I would want to be off my head with drugs as well if I had to listen to him all day.

Also, I find the mental image really funny when Lindsey has to tell their kid that daddy doesn't like it when s/he plays with his toys.

I have a question related to Mayo's and I hope you guys don't mind. It's been bugging me for a while and I know nobody at Mayo's is going to answer it.

I know people originally thought that Mayo was GW, but who the heck is this SS person supposed to be and why does everyone act like he/she is so fucking important?

Anonymous said...

People think that Shitsubou Shita is Frank Iero. LOL
They treat that person like the new messiah just because of that.
They always claim that SS is only important to them because s/he's nice and posts nice comments at Mayo's and also sucks up to specific persons on her/his own blog who kiss her/his ass.
The thing is that there were/are also many other people at Mayo's being nice and attentive to others and strangely enough never got/get that much attention.
Also, as far as I remember, SS made some predictions in the past concerning MCR and/or Leathermouth which turned out to be true and that made people believe even more that s/he must be Frank.

Anonymous said...

I know people on lj who have connections to the band through Warner employes, S//C, and some of the folks who have worked for MCR on the road. Members of these comms find out info days and weeks earlier than your regular fan. Have the people on Mayo ever considered the possibility that SS could be one of them?

That's probably why on the MCR site one of the captions says "You go save the world I'll just be myself."

I think SS is a female too. It's really only the insane fangirls who convince themselves that they are talking to Frank.

You know how everyone was commenting about Gerard typing "F-ing"?

I think Gerard is now assimilating the behavior and mindset of a father-to-be and doesn't want to swear anymore. He has to become a role model for his child, after all. *rolls eyes*
I only hope he never mixes up his numerous personae so that he advises the audience not to play with their own poop and tells his kid to moan for him. >_<

Well now he's typed "F-berry" and he doesn't even mean fuck.

And then he tries to cover up his douchebaggery again.

Too late! He did that a long time ago.

No, in the Warhammer blog he used fuck quite a bit. It was only the end "fuck" about him and Mikey that he censored which seemed strange to me.

Anonymous said...

Um, is there something interesting to read or why are you posting a link to SS' blog here, anon?

I didn't post it, but after reading it I gotta say that it was fucking hilarious. Parables about geese and frogs? Latin? Ghandi quotes? Not to mention the shout outs to the people who post on Mayo.

This is the Frank Iero from fanfic. It has absolutely nothing to do with reality.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Gerard or Lindsey are capable of not using the word fuck.

Their child's first word will probably be 'fuck'. The second will be 'like'.

Anonymous said...

Ugh, don't get me started, anon!
When SS began quoting Ghandi after some time there was an open letter from Frank posted on some website in which he told the people that he was reading a book about Ghandi or some shit. You can imagine that they took it as THE evidence that SS was Frank.
Hilarious!
And yet they make fun of the people on BN and/or INO.
We then used to call Mayo's Buzznet part 2 or Buzznet, the sequel. hahahahahaha

Under the Obama Plan: This is in regards to tax cuts and relief. But, for those like Gerard that live in the world of the bunnies, and find it hard to follow politics because their too busy playing with D & D action figures, here you go....
________________________________________

Middle class families will see their taxes cut – and no family making less than $250,000 will see their taxes increase. The typical middle class family will receive well over $1,000 in tax relief under the Obama plan, and will pay tax rates that are 20% lower than they faced under President Reagan. According to the Tax Policy Center, the Obama plan provides three times as much tax relief for middle class families as the McCain plan.

Families making more than $250,000 will pay either the same or lower tax rates than they paid in the 1990s. Obama will ask the wealthiest 2% of families to give back a portion of the tax cuts they have received over the past eight years to ensure we are restoring fairness and returning to fiscal responsibility. But no family will pay higher tax rates than they would have paid in the 1990s. In fact, dividend rates would be 39 percent lower than what President Bush proposed in his 2001 tax cut.
Obama’s plan will cut taxes overall, reducing revenues to below the levels that prevailed under Ronald Reagan (less than 18.2 percent of GDP).

The Obama tax plan is a net tax cut – his tax relief for middle class families is larger than the revenue raised by his tax changes for families over $250,000. Coupled with his commitment to cut unnecessary spending, Obama will pay for this tax relief while bringing down the budget deficit.

For more info. go to google.

I wonder what kind of Kitten Kaboodle nonsense he has in store for us tomorrow. Here's some advice you fool, go out of your house tomorrow, and instead of going on a scavenger hunt for sugar induced cereal, try picking up a newspaper. Hey, you kill two birds with one stone. I don't really understand what Gerard is trying to get at with his "epic posts" on MCR's blog. It seems as though he thinks people want to know absolutely everything there is to know about him, including what cereal he likes to eat. Rather egotistical of him in my opinion.

Just further evidence that he's a raging megalomaniac, I suppose.

Anonymous said...

I think he's just creating dumb posts because he doesn't want to do it. He probably sits there and think of the most uninteresting thing ever and desides to go with that.

Either that of he's giving his army Geek 101 lessons so they can take over the world, with him as their evil ruler.

Aside from that auction to help a person that won't give their background out most of what he has been doing is talking about toys and selling shit to people. Is there nothing more that he likes.

Hi Carrie!

It's nice to see you here! I hope you are well!
As far as I'm concerned, it is totally okay if people come here who still like/love MCR. But they should be aware of the fact that us people posting at VV's make no bones about our anger towards MCR and love to expose them to ridicule as often as we can. ;-D

Hi MJ and anons!

How are you doing?

I think it is obvious that MCR are only blogging to keep the fans at it. At least, I have the impression that they're not doing it voluntarily which is only more proof that they would do anything nowadays to keep the money well from running dry.
Pathetic losers!

Hello Siobhan

Nothing provokes me like someone trying to tell me what I can or can’t do. And I am not talking about “Eat your vegetables”, “Take out the trash”, "Don't run a red light", "Don't steal shit", or "Don't stick a knife in someone" (well maybe the red light thing, once). That stuff is important and I get that. What I mean is when someone is attempting to assert control over me, primarily for their own gains or because they consider my actions irrelevant, then I am full-on instigated.

In fact, I can be a bit immature when confronted with authority. A holdover from adolescence, I presume. For the most part, because I am an adult I am able to identify when the limitations being placed on me are legitimate and necessary. And I bite my tongue.

But, nothing pleases me more than to shove it in the face of whatever or whoever attempts to assert unnecessary control over me. Tell me I’m too old to do something, to act a certain way, then you can bet I’ll be first in line. Tell me what I say is irrelevant and I’ll carry on until I find an ear. Attempt to limit my behavior because you don’t consider me worthy and I’ll increase my efforts until you are red faced.

What amazes me is that they (those attempting control) do not understand that their assertions invariably expose their hot buttons. See, now I know what pisses you off and I can be an asshole, so there you go. But, like I said, I can be a bit immature.

Also, I find it unnecessary for someone to belittle a person because their opinion does not run parallel to their own. Typically, name calling will get you nowhere. We are each entitled to our own beliefs, and our opinions will undoubtedly run counter to other's. And if I don't agree, I'll let you know. I'll give you my point of view and perhaps some facts that I may have squirreled away for the occasion to back it up.

Usually this works and we can agree to disagree. But, if you are maliciously handing me my head over and over about whatever burns your ass, then I will most likely ignore you.

That works in two ways. First, I don't hear you any longer. I can continue my life knowing that I made an attempt to express my opinion. And hopefully you now realize you are not going to change mine. Second, I don't hear you any longer.

Then later, under my breath, I'll call you an idiot. And let's face it, if after all that you still think you can change my opinion...well now, we don't need to go there. Just for the record, I won't try to change yours, either. Your opinion, that is.

With all that being said, (and feel free to ignore any of it) please keep in mind that I am a bit of a smart ass. And I have been known to dish out a good natured hard-time. If you poke me, I'll poke you back...sometimes I poke first.

I think I read somewhere something along the lines of...we need to be able to best deal with those things that impact us emotionally, and we need to handle them ourselves. As individuals the decisions we make are what we can control. The rest is up to the rest.

p.s. ask yourself.

I agree, Gerard's posts are extremely self-indulgent (I know, I couldn't think of a better word) and arrogant, to assume that his fans will want to know about that crap. They don't seem to have much thought put into them, as though his fans aren't really worth a lot of effort and any old crap will do. It's like the vidoes from Bob with people walking into things, so long as they post something that is all that matters.

Agreed. And I have to tell you that in many circles, Mayo is regarded as the biggest joke. Especially since the so-called "family" is constantly at each others' throats, jockeying for "his" attention.

I don't understand why so many people care what some random anonymous blogger thinks about them.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I can't take you seriously when you use the word n00b to say someone doesn't know anything about biology.

The thing is that they're not random bloggers but people in a band. If you want to ramble about thinks like cereal then get a myspace profile or at least don't post those blogs on your official band webpage.
I for one expect something really interesting and substantial and not some crap that's almost close to writing This morning, I got up while scratching my ass and then went to the bathroom to have a dump in the shape of bagle.

Not everyone breastfeeds, anon. I don't really see Lindsey as the breastfeeking type. After all, it isn't terribly "punk". Once the milk dries up, the breasts go back to their original size.

I'm not saying I think she'll run out and get a boob job (although I think some restylane injections in her upper lip might not be a bad idea), but she could if she wanted to.

Anonymous said...

I don't understand why so many people care what some random anonymous blogger thinks about them.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

That is great that you find mayo to be a joke. But not everyone was at his attention and once it was a nice place. As far as jokes go there are people who think this place is joke.

I don't think mayo is some asshole looking for attention mainly because people have said the same about us here.

I don't like mayo's that much anymore but it is not because of the unknown bloggers. It is because of the way people there act and treat each
other.

when someone acts like they care what you have to say you will do the same or them.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Or wait. I bet he's intentionally making himself out to be a dumbass on the MCR website to throw people off about his secret identity as Mayo. Yeah. Right.

No one knows 100% sure who the hell Mayo is. Mayo could be GW or someone from that oh not so secret LJ community or even just some asshole wanting attention. But I really don't think going after the people over there because some of them believe it was GW is really doing anything.

Shit people make fun of us for believe GW is a drugged out asshole.

Sometime true is stranger than fictions and there is the possibility that it could be him. So until I know 100% for sure who that person is I am not going to treat the people who do think it is him as some joke.

MJ, which LJ community are you talking about?

Anonymous said...

I think she's referring to the sagging that can occur after breastfeeding a child.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

There is an Lj community I don't know the name but it is suppose to be full of people who know the band. A few of them where on MCRumor control saying that mama way hated Mikey's wife and that she gave him the gift that keeps on giving.

If you haven't noticed GW is something of an attention whore as well and we are always saying he tries to impress people by becoming like them.

I'm sure there are some lovely people there. I just don't understand why they seem to hate each other so much.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

You don't need to be sorry for how you feel about it. I have felt that way to I just don't feel right saying when you know we are in the same boat according to the fan sheep.

I can't understand why people over there hate each other either. Some things that have been were out of line but it wouldn't had people tried to work things out.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I think they're both assholes and major attention whores but that doesn't mean that they're one person.
I dislike Mayonaise because that person plays with other people's emotions. I'm sorry, but I think that some people at Mayo's behave and sound as if they were emotionally and mentally unstable and when it comes to MCR and Gerard in particular they seem to live in a dreamland.
Mayonaise did his best to make people believe that he could be Gerard when he posted at different times while they were touring through different countries and therefore were obviously in different timezones sometimes.
A person who takes advantage of others and their idolatry can't have good intentions.
This asshole enjoys all those women sucking up to him and I don't want to know how often he got off in front of his computer while reading their heartfelt 'love letters' to him.
I just think it's disgusting!

Martha Smith-Jones said...

The blog seems to hate me today.

Anyway you shouldn't feel sorry for how you feel. Like i said we are all in a similar boat and I think that maybe it was stuff like half the blog thinking it was him and the other half thinking that was shit that helped to kill mayo's. i really don't want that here. Because I am sure there are people who think mayo = GW that come here because of the way that mayo's is now.

I want them to feel just as welcome as anyone else.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Siobhan I go back and forth in wonder if mayo is that bad of a guy. When I think he is that bad o a guy I can see him being GW.

I know that doesn't mean they are the same person

When I am unsure of what he is trying to do I have no idea who to think he is.

Anonymous said...

Frankly, I don't give a fuck anymore, MJ.
It's not my place to say who can come here or not. It's Verita's blog and this is not DM. I wouldn't talk about Mayo if people wouldn't come here and ask questions. I only answer them because I remember how it felt to be 'new' at Mayo's and wanting to know things and people were not answering to keep their little circle as exclusive as possible.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I am not say don't talk about mayo's either. And I also answer questions that people have about mayo's when they come here.

I just don't see the need to be harsh on all of the people there. when people have something they love they sometimes get over protective of it and say and do things they normally wouldn't.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Well it was nice talking to you but I have to be off. I will be back on but I don't know when so everyone have a nice evening if I don't get to talk to you again today.

I just don't see the need to be harsh on all of the people there. when people have something they love they sometimes get over protective of it and say and do things they normally wouldn't.

I admit that they are some really nice people at Mayo's and I don't think that I made generalizations about the people over there but if I did then I'm sorry. Still, I can't understand that kind of behavior. Behaving like a hysterical fan girl because of two unknown bloggers who go out of their way to try to make others believe that they could be some dudes in a band is just ridiculous for me. It's okay for teenage girls to behave like that but many of them are in their 30's or even older and have kids. Wtf?
I'm sorry, but that's insane.

Don't get me wrong; It's okay to like a band and I don't care if you're 70 and dance in a mosh pit at a Slipknot concert but jumping at people's throats when they say something unpleasant and critical about your favorite band and their band members, respectively, is batshit crazy to me.

Anonymous said...

Bye, MJ!

You and me both, Siobhan. I can kind of forgive and understand girls in their pre-teen and early teen years behaving that way, but not grown women.

And I think you are exactly right when you say some of them are emotionally unstable.

I hope this is ok to post here, I know its going back to an old subject. Anyway, I just saw the numbers for comic book sales in December 2008 and there was quite a decrease in the number of sales of TUA. The first issue of series two which came out in November 2008 (I already posted this, comparing it to last years sales, but to compare the two) and came out a few days after the baby announcement (what a coincidence) was ranked 50 overall and sold approx 36,784 copies.

Issue #2 which came out in Demember 2008 was ranked 102 and sold approx 25,396 copies.

That is a huge, huge drop. Last year the sales of TUA did drop off a bit, they always do, but they usually hovered around the 28,000 mark and it was a gradual decline, each month selling a few thousand less then the previous one. This is a huge, huge drop. I know you might think the economy is to blame, but there was an article saying that comic book sales were up 12% in December. Anyway, sorry if this was off subject.

Anonymous said...

No, I blame a certain person for treating his fans like shit for the drop in sales not economy. And like you said, comic sales are up 12%.

Desolation Row or How to Sound Punk/Pop 101/

I ain't feeling it.

Anonymous said...

Gerard sounds like he's doing a really bad Johnny Rotton impression.

Anonymous said...

oh.

oh no.

Anonymous said...

That's what I thought.

Anonymous said...

I've heard worse.

Still, the lyrics of Desolation Row are very important to me as both a Dylan fan and a Watchmen fan (Moore quotes some of them in the novel), and from that clip it's hard to actually understand what Gerard is singing. I'm not impressed.

As far as TUA is concerned, I like it. But I don't buy it. It's quirky and fun, but nothing really that special. It's not the type of thing that will leave a lasting impression on people, Eisner Award or no.

I think it will run its course and then probably fade away.

Anonymous said...

Just wanted to say, Yes We Can!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I believe someboody told Gerard this and he said it an an interview a while ago.

Anonymous said...

So basically, there is no evidence to support that Dylan actually said that?

I thought so.

But, just for the hell of it, do you have the interview Gerard said this in?

Anonymous said...

Yup, here you go. Its around :52

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the clip.

"and apparently he was very happy about it"

Sounds like even he got that information third hand.

I still don't buy it.

Anonymous said...

You're welcome, and yeah, I kind of get the feeling he was pulling out of his ass or twisting words.

Anonymous said...

Pulling IT* out of his ass...

Anonymous said...

Exactly, I haven't heard that said or written anywhere else. Unless Dylan himself comes out and makes a statement on it, I won't believe it.

Anonymous said...

Dylan might have been okay with MCR covering it because he liked the idea of introducing his music to a new generation of kids.

But if he's heard it, I really, really doubt that he likes it.

Anonymous said...

The people that dislike the song make me laugh. It's bull shit reasons for the most part. I love the song so far.

Cuz you know, people have to loooove everything MCR does. Anything else is bullshit. *rolls eyes*

I'm so glad I'm not part of that stupid fandom anymore.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Hello

Sorry anon I don't have the post where what I was talking about was said on MCRumorcontrol. By now they probably have deleted it.

And no one should have to say they are sorry or feel bad for saying something about some one who treated you rudely. That is not what I was trying to do. Just how about lets not go there with them. You want to talk about how badly you were treated and how much you hate that place go right a head I might even join in once in awhile. Just no need to be that harsh on them.

Anonymous said...

It looks like they deleted that post from mcrumorcontrol.

Anyway, the girl who claimed that Alicia had given Mikey "the gift that keeps on giving" said something about medical records, I do remember that. Like, she maybe has access to Mikey's or Alicia's medical records or knows someone who does.

Fucking scary if you ask me. No wonder they deleted the post.

I think all these nonsense blogs have to do with him wanting the band to be seen as not as serious, and I guess emo. Like to show that they have a fun side and aren't 'save your life' 24/7. Not that they're like that much at all anymore, but you know what I mean.
Trying to shed their old image, and trying to emulate MSI at the same time. I'm sure I'll be amused to see how -that- turns out.

You know that is what is more important. There was no way Frank would have been able to get away from the MCR connection even if he did leave MCR.

I could never be proud of something I've only accomplished because of the appreciation of a different achievement in my life.

Siobhan that would make you the only person like that everyone use their past achievements in something to help them at least get their foot in the door.

I do have a problem with the way GW is doing it though. He seems to be more concerned with getting them to buy LE of TUA. That and support things like msi are for worse than Frank used the act that he is in MCR to get LM in the door.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I do want to add this to my last comment. I don't think rank could have gotten away from the MCR connection. He is in the band and that is what he is most known for the work he has done in that band. But using the MCR an base to make money is where I have a problem. Using the MCR site to promote LM is also something I ind distasteful. Not using the work he did with MCR

Anonymous said...

MCR are a bunch of sellouts.

At first they claimed they were all about the music and that money didn't mean anything to them. But apparently, they (and especially Gerard) seem to have done a 180 on that one. Jimmy Piss's influence? Maybe. Or maybe they were just lying all along.

Fans want to blame Warner and I'm sure that they're responsible for a lot of the stupid marketing and the jacked-up prices. But didn't Gerard always say that MCR had the kind of contract that would allow them control over things, like how they were marketed? (Although, that could have very well been a lie, seeing as how it was Gerard who said it.) So I think the band shares in the blame. Also, the fact that both Frank and Gerard are using MCR's website to promote their other projects is further proof that they're wanting to milk the fans for all they can. Not cool in my book.

It really is just all about money now.

Anonymous said...

Gerard are using MCR's website to promote their other projects

He also uses it to promote wonderful wifey-poo. Mikey also.

I'm never ging MCR another penny. It's all they care about. I don't think they realised the impact the association with MSI would have on their wallets and now very much depleated fanbase. Gerard was thinking with the wrong body part when he shamelessly promoted that piece of shit "band" and his crotch flashing, gogo dancing golddigger.

Jimmy Piss's influence? Maybe.
Well, the whole "groan for me" was Jimmy's trick in 2005/6, so I'd say an influence was definate. And I also think they were liars. ALL of them changed just a little too quickly.

Anonymous said...

and his crotch flashing, gogo dancing golddigger.

It'll be Gerard fault for marring a glorified pole dancer.

It's a clip of the studio version. And although it sounds about 1000 x better than the live version, it just seems to me like the quality of Gerard's voice has gone downhill significantly over the past couple of years.

Hey, MJ.

Gerard's voice really has never really been all that great to begin with, but the last few times I saw the band he was hitting more sour notes than good ones. And that performance of Teenagers at the EMA's last year was downright embarrassing.

The clips from TBPID don't sound all that bad, but it's rather obvious that some of the vocal were overdubbed in the studio.
