I followed a few links from a link someone posted here, to ONTD. From there, there was a discussion about MCR's racism and sexism with posts to a Tumblr that had the same views about them.

It's really hard to see so many women who are lost in the quagmire of their own blindness and ignorance, be it because of some silly religious teaching or the fact that they were socialized to believe that their self-worth is tied up in their ability to get a man.

I agree with you here. I think that song is disgusting, and I am repulsed by the fact that Lindsey chose to participate in that.
Having said that, I think it is possible that maybe she regrets ever having performed that song. Maybe she has expressed that to JU and we just don't know it. Maybe JU regrets that song, for all we know. Probably not, but I'd like to think it's a possibility.

I hope what you think is true, as I don't believe anything they write on their tweets because I think it's more for show, but I'm hoping for the child's sake. I also think Gerard does care for her even though it's not expressed constantly on a social site.

I agree with this entirely and completely. I have friends that I have had since 6th grade and they are now either born again Christians or Republicans. I might think their faith is silly and am a stanch Democrat but would I still have lunch with them when asked ?, of course. They are still my friends.

I've done a bit of research on her since we've started this discussion. Look, I have no love for racists. I think racism is horrible and I wish it could be wiped from the face of the earth. Same goes for sexism. But nobody here has been defending Lindsey Way and nobody has been defending MSI or MCR.
