A few links

I followed a few links from a link someone posted here, to ONTD. From there, there was a discussion about MCR's racism and sexism with posts to a Tumblr that had the same views about them.

It is nice to see that people are finally catching up to everyone here.

So here are the links for you.

MCR link on ONTD discussing Frank and Gerard's disgusting behavior.

That led to a Tumblr post detailing Gerard's "I'd smash your face" threat. (I personally do not have a Tumblr so I don't know how to repost that. But anyone with a Tumblr, please repost.)

Frank's racism even made it onto Yahoo questions. Here.

So there you go, we are not the only ones out there willing to call bands out on their disgusting behavior.

Hope everyone has a nice spring time!

Parawhore cheats

Anonymous said...

You know what? I've looked at Hayley Williams twitter, and I have not seen one iota of evidence that she is asking fans to cheat. She is asking fans to vote for her band, but MCR did the same thing last year.

As I recall, the MCRmy cried and said that Coheed & Cambria fans cheated last year when they beat MCR.

Those morons need a reality check. The MCRmy is not invincible.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, the one boy I've ever seen following MCR, and he calls Paramore "Parawhore".

I think that says a lot.

Anonymous said...

3:09 - L.O.L.

Anonymous said...

MCR fans are up in arms all over tumblr with that "Paramore is cheating!!!" thing.

OMG, who cares about an MTV poll? Why do they think if MCR gets beaten the other bands fans are automatically cheating?

And they try and tell us WE have no lives.

These poor, pathetic girls who have nothing else in their lives. It's so sad.

Anonymous said...

But MCR has to win! Me and all the other kids I know from the eighth grade voted for them!!!

*rolls eyes*

I don't know if you guys have seen this, but I thought it should be posted here.

I started out thinking this was a crazy MCR fan, but turns out she's on our side.

“If for one minute you think you’re better than a sixteen year old girl in a Green Day t-shirt, you are sorely mistaken. Remember the first time you went to a show and saw your favorite band. You wore their shirt, and sang every word. You didn’t know anything about scene politics, haircuts, or what was cool. All you knew was that this music made you feel different from anyone you shared a locker with. Someone finally understood you. This is what music is about. [LOL J/K YOU’RE ALL CUNTS AND I’D SMASH YOUR FACES FOR SIX BUCKS AND A DR. PEPPER]” -Gerard Way, Internet Tough Guy

I love this person. :)

If I were the mother of these ignorant teenage girls I would take them to a woman's shelter to volunteer and let them see the consequences of women being punched by the men in their lives.

Anonymous said...

Gerard Way should be ashamed of himself.

Anonymous said...

The sad thing is, some of these girls have probably seen their dads punch their mothers so they think it's perfectly normal.

And wtf at that girl saying Gerard can't be a misogynist because he's married and has a daughter? How daft can a person be?

Anonymous said...

They think misogyny is hating women so in their logic if you hate females you wouldn't marry one. They don't understand it relates to seeing females as lesser than a man and opens the door to objectify, control and disrespect them.

I was talking to a co-worker the other day about the little girl in Bangladesh who was beaten to death because she was raped. This co-worker (who is a fundamentalist Christian) said to me, "Oh. That's just taking submissiveness too far."

It boggles the mind that in this day and age, even in the United States, there are women who are taught (and who believe) that they should be submissive to their husbands. God only knows what some of these girls have been taught.

Anonymous said...

Gerard Way should be ashamed of himself

What would you expect from a blockhead?

Anonymous said...

This is what the BIBLE says about women should be with their husbands:

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.

—Ephesians 5:22

Who are you to say that women should not do what the Bible tells them?

Anonymous said...

*rolls eyes*

Siobhan (nsi) said...

It's quite obvious that now idiots are posting their shit on here to get us riled up and the irony about this is that they're most likely female themselves.
I bet the first time they get punched in the face by their boyfriends or husbands they will cry even harder for remembering what insane shit they wrote here to mock us.
Maybe, they're already used to be submissive to their fathers and brothers at home and think it's totally normal that daddy kicks their ass if breakfast isn't on the table right on time and that brother spits in their face if the scrambled eggs are too dry.

Maybe, they also think it's totally normal that their mother is also their sister. Who knows?

Anonymous said...

You cannot reason with deeply stupid people Siobhan. Especially an army led by an "internet tough guy". Heh.

What does the bible say about what men should to be to their wives? Sometimes the women has to take it on her own and do what is good for her and in these days, i don't really buy that a women has to be submissive to anyone. Not to be dissing Christians, but i think the way they interpet the bible is not the way others may.

Anonymous said...

The bible was not written by god. It was written by men. The person who wrote the passage quoted was a Roman citizen, and the views he expressed were rooted in the Roman laws of the times, which said women were property.

There are some good things in the bible, but it should not be taken literally in every way. It can't be, because it often contradicts itself.

You can't live your life today by something that was set down 2,000 years ago by people whose experience of life was drastically different from that of modern society. It's impossible.

Not only that, religion and gods were always invented and used to oppress women because women can something that men can't; they give life and technically it's women who decide if there will be new life or not. That's what this whole shit is about. That's why men thought they had to oppress women and that's why the pope shat himself when the pill was invented. That's why men still want to tell us women what to do with our bodies and if we're allowed to get an abortion.

And so far that whole fucking smear campaign of making women the origin of all evil and something that needs to be held under control is still fucking successful.

Anonymous said...

6:19,

Anonymous said...

11:52, I didn't know that you can read my mind behind a computer screen. *sarcasm*

You can't know what I've said in my previous comment is true or not. In real life, I see the bible as nothing more than a book, and before you ask, I'm not a religious person. Whether or not you believe me is something that I won't worry about, however.

But thanks for the welcome.

Anonymous said...

"I didn't know that you can read my mind behind a computer screen. *sarcasm* "

It doesn't take mind reading to see that you just take what other people say and copy it. Because ummmm that's just what you do.

"I see the bible as nothing more than a book, and before you ask, I'm not a religious person."

If you're already saying that the bible is "just a book," WHY would anyone even assume that you were "a religious person"?

I just can't get over, to this day, how bloody dense you are. How slow witted and just... thick as a brick. You just don't get things. It's crazy!

I suggest you ignore 2:46, who is probably the Mayo troll, you know, the crazy asshat who tries to run off anyone here who gives themselves a name. She's crazy as fuck, otherwise she wouldn't pick on you like this. She just knows she can get a response from you.

I'm ignoring her from now on.

Kicked many kittens today?

Anonymous said...

And so far that whole fucking smear campaign of making women the origin of all evil and something that needs to be held under control is still fucking successful.

IKR?

It's insane to me that women just willingly go along with that shit. I live in an area rife with fundamentalist christians (no capitals from me in regard to that word) and I could tell you some horror stories. Like, the woman who went to her pastor and told him her husband was beating her. The pastor told her she couldn't divorce him, but that if she was brave and stuck it out, her husband might "come to the lord" because of her suffering. He then went on to tell her an "inspiring" story about a woman who put up with abuse for 30 some years, but her husband finally stopped beating her and accepted god. WTF? As if that was inspiring?

This woman then told her pastor she was afraid her husband might kill her and the pastor told her that if that happened, she would be with jesus and would have even more glory in heaven because of her sacrifice. Once again, WHAT THE BLEEDING FUCK?

The fact that people blindly follow this bullshit is beyond me.

Hocking said...

lets not talk about kicking kittens, their too cute to kick.

Makes me think of the many cases where people would make youtube videos of themselves killing kittens.

Anonymous said...

One good thing about 4chan. They find those people and get them put in jail.

Anonymous said...

^the ones who kill kittens.

Anonymous said...

Different anon, but Bleeding Chaos is really close friends with most of the Mayo trolls. I mean, hello? Why would the Mayo trolls pick on her, they're cut from the same cloth.

In fact, it's crazy that she's dissing the Bible. If she did that in front of her Mayo Troll friends (the OPs, Maya, Wendy, the rest of the ones often suspected of trolling here) IN FRONT OF THEM, there would be hell to pay.

Or actually maybe there wouldn't. Because with the Mayo Trolls, their friends (and Gerard and Frank) are allowed to say and do whatever they want, whereas other people should be "struck dead."

Anonymous said...

Lol. If thinking and saying that christians are full of shit was going to get me "struck dead", I would have been dead 20 years ago.

Anonymous said...

Just recalling that that's what OPJ told Kapunua when she said that she would tell god to shut up if he did... something to her, I don't remember what. She told her that god would strike her dead. hehe.

Then a few weeks later Frank said something on Twitter about fake Christmas and Jesus being a "stupid magic baby" and OPJ responded by sending him presents in the mail.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, typical MCR fanzombie logic.

If Frank or Gerard say or do something they don't like it's perfectly fine, they're just human, nobody's perfect, blah, blah, blah.

Anonymous said...

I don't care who Bleeding Chaos is friends with. If she comes here and says something I won't attack her for it unless she comes in attacking.

kapunua said...

"ZOMGGZZZ GOD WILL STRIKE YOU DEADDDD!!!" Oh man, those were good times.

Let's see if I can remember. Someone came in pretending they were Gerard or something ("Black Rose" I think the name was? Something like that?) with some friends of theirs. Then one of the friends (wish I could remember the name) said some insult to me, "OMG UR SUCH A BITCH" or something like that. I think I replied something like, "Sit down and shut up." Then the friend said, "YOU CAN'T SAY THAT, THAT PERSON IS RAY TORO." (Yes, these people were insane.)

That's whey I said, I didn't care if it was god himself, I'd still tell him to sit down and shut up (or whatever it was.)

And that's when I got the "GOD WOULD STRIKE YOU DEAD W/ LIGHTNING!!1111" reply.

It was too hilarious, I laughed for weeks over that.

What wasn't funny came later, with the stuff with my job, and all the junk about my Dad and my Gran. That's when it turned fully insane.

The job stuff though, getting fired, really worked well for me though.I'm actually starting at a new place on tuesday, and my starting salary is $36/hr plus whatever tips I get. Then I get a raise after the first 6 months or so. ^_^ So yeah, that worked out. :D

That makes me feel like going back to Mayo's for like a bi-annual update, just to say where I'm at now. ^_^

Anonymous said...

2:52, thanks.

3:24, I speak out on things. It shouldn't have to be crazy just because I spoke out against the bible.

Anonymous said...

Personally, I think most all of those Mayo people are insane. I never got the allure of that place.

Curious, is that one girl (I can't remember what her name was) who quit her job and left all her belongings to follow MCR around the country doing that again this tour? I remember worrying about her. I thought all those people needed a reality check, but she seemed, I don't know, kind of Miss Havisham-esque, like she might be waiting for Gerard in her wedding dress, that sort of thing. Is she okay?

Anonymous said...

Umm, no one cares that you spoke out against the bible, BC. Read back.

Anonymous said...

Are you kidding? None of those people are okay. They're all crazy as shithouse rats.

Anonymous said...

I'm actually starting at a new place on tuesday, and my starting salary is $36/hr plus whatever tips I get. Then I get a raise after the first 6 months or so. ^_^ So yeah, that worked out. :D

Why, how strange, 4:18. Her name was Toujours, and she actually just returned to Mayo's after, it looks like almost a year of being absent from there. Oddly, she posted right around the same time you did, or really about 20 or so minutes before.

Very strange indeed.

Anonymous said...

What, wait. Mayo's is still there? I thought it got shut down.

5:25,

To be a true My Chemical Romance fan apparently means cutting the band a lot of slack.

This statement from a concert review hits the nail on the head.

Anonymous said...

I notice how the reviewers keep mentioning that the fans at shows are extremely young and "female". That strikes me as just so wrong. I hope one day these little girls grow up to know better.

Anonymous said...

Poor MCR. They try so hard to get male fans, yet they still just attract pre-teen girls.

But it could be worse. Poor P!ATD got potato chips and granola bars thrown at them when they opened the Discovery Green show for the Final Four in Houston yesterday.

Anonymous said...

. Over the course of four albums, the Jersey City, New Jersey-based quintet has transformed itself from an angst-fuelled post-hardcore act to something harder to classify, albeit still angst-fuelled. Many who prefer their inner torment delivered with a lot of chugging guitars and pained howling found themselves felt betrayed when MCR went all rock-operatic for 2006’s The Black Parade . Well, sorry, emo kids, but at least you have the first two albums to console you when all you want to do is barricade yourself in your bedroom, light black candles, and practice making disconsolate faces in the mirror.

That review was way harsh.

If you want to critique a show then critique the band and their performance. You shouldn't critique and insult the fans.

Anonymous said...

Did those in attendance possess sophisticated enough tastes to pick up on the myriad musical references woven through My Chemical Romance’s songs? Let’s give some of them that much credit, and accept that many of them were there to stare in doe-eyed wonder at Way, the outfit’s singer, lyricist, and resident heartthrob. With his hair dyed Ronald McDonald red, Way (who turns 34 on April 9, in case you’re keeping track)

Unnecessary and unprofessional.

Anonymous said...

Unnecessary and unprofessional.

Not really.

MCR's fans are some of the most annoying people on the planet. They have a horrible reputation among other music fans and journalists. Why?

They organize protests of newspapers who say 'mean things' about their favorite band. They make death threats to the owners of restaurants who cater their shows when the band members get sick. They go on crusades against MCR's detractors with threats to bash in faces. They accuse other fanbases of cheating when MCR doesn't win silly internet polls.

IMO, I don't think MCR fans get enough shit in the press.

Anonymous said...

I don't think that review was harsh at all. There's nothing worse than being at a show with a few thousand pre-teens who scream in your ear and spend more time taking videos and/or texting/tweeting their friends than they do watching the band perform.

MCR concerts have had that element since the Revenge days, but it has gotten progressively worse since TBP. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like now with the poppy music and technicolor hair and costumes.

Lynn said...

Gerard insulted his own fans when he called 16yr old girls annoying.

Anonymous said...

But Lynn, didn't you know that it's perfectly okay for Gerard to insult the fans? I mean, it's just so cute when he does it. Besides, he's Gerard Fucking Way, the second coming, so he's allowed. He gets a free pass, along with all those other guys up there on Mount Olympia.

MCR fans are truly embarrassing themselves with this MTV poll.

Clearly, once you've voted one time, the site tells you 'Thank you for voting'. Then, if you try to vote again, it says, 'Thank you, we have already counted your vote!'

So, essentially, it's only letting people vote once a day. This is why the MCR fans 'vote and vote, like a 100 times, but nothing ever changes'.

Besides, does it not occur to them that Paramore fans are voting just as much?

How stupid can these people be?

So glad I'm not attached to that bunch of maniacs anymore.

Anonymous said...

You're right, it does say that. So, these poor fans have been voting their fingers to the bone even though their vote only counts once?

It shouldn't be this funny, but I can't help it. LMFAO.

True you had to defend yourself many times over at Mayo's but you always came to the defence of others as well.

So all in all I think you're a jolly decent person.

At least Mayo was smart enough not to post when the band was onstage. It was a little over the top when he changed his timestamp to wherever the band was playing though. That (among other things) was what convinced me Mayo was just pretending.

This person is just plain dumb.

Anonymous said...

Not as dumb as GW.

Anonymous said...

No, Bleeding Chaos definitely took sides. She laughed right along with the others when the OPs and Mya and Amy started shoveling dirt towards the Porchies. She supported Amy's Fix which was ridiculous. She took part in all of that, don't even try to white-wash her.

Welshie said...

No white-wash anon. I don’t believe she’s without fault, but then again who is. I do not agree though with some of the things she did over at Mayo's however I do think that on the whole she's a good person.
I'm only aware of what happened at Mayo's. I wasn't a part of any of the other blogs so I can only judge her by what I saw there.

I do think the anon atacking her at 2:46 was out of order though.

That's my opinion. You don't have to agree with me.

Anonymous said...

All I really remember from Mayo's is the bullying that went on of about four or five ladies there, led by mostly OPJ. Bleeding Chaos took part in that when she was around. She was not exempt from doing her share of laughing along with the others, when a small group was getting picked on.

Saying that she wasn't a part of it is just false. She takes part in the pack mentality. She saw other people going for the throat and she did too.

Anonymous said...

BUT, I don't hold her totally responsible because it is quite true that BC just follows the pack. I think that's who she is.

I was shocked to see this on my very tame at work homepage, and now I'm so angry I can barely do my job today. What a fucking world we live in.

The behavior that went on at Mayo's was reprehensible, but I see no point in constantly rehashing it here. Leave those poor deluded souls to their fake rawksta and move on. Mayo's is over.

Anonymous said...

I would have no problem doing that, but people coming in and saying that certain things never happened is wrong. I witnessed it. It was reprehensible, like you said. You can't pretend it didn't happen and you can't pretend that BC didn't gladly take part in it.

Welshie said...

I agree that a lot of what happened at Mayo's was bang out of order. I think Mayo should've stepped in and put a stop to it.

Can I ask a question please anon? Why do you think that the people who post at Mayo's are deluded? As you probably know I post there, just been there actually and left a little note. I don't regard myself as deluded. Why do you? I'm curious.

Welshie said...

8:32 I'm not saying that certain things didn't happen. Like I said I was a mere lurker back in the day so my memory of the events could be totally wrong. If in fact I am wrong about BC's part in it then I apologise to you. You obviously have a better memory than I.

Anonymous said...

Welshie,

I think the people who posted at Mayo's believed he was Gerard, especially in the beginning. And I think the ones who stayed (most of them) still continue to believe that. At the very least, they believe that SS was Frank.

Although, in some cases, I think they knew it wasn't Gerard or Frank, but they enjoyed the fantasy. Grown women who have pretend relationships with rockstars are deluded, imo.

Welshie said...

Thank you for answering anon. We all thought it was GW to begin with otherwise I guess we wouldn't be there right. Don't worry, I don't think it's him anymore. As for SS not convinced it was FI. I post there simply cos I enjoy chatting with the other bloggers. Simple as.
Like I said, thanks for answering.

Got to go now sorry. Have to see a man about a cow! Don't ask!

Their singer used to be hella good-looking ten years ago. He's still an attractive man, they all are, but circa 2003-4, he was beautiful. Angelic even.

Lol @ all the crazy ass fangirls who still won't let that MTV contest go.

Why do they think MCR is automatically going to win? Bands much bigger than them were eliminated in the earlier rounds because, Hello -- people with actual lives (and therefore, money to buy records and go to shows) have better things to do than sit and hit refresh over and over on some idiotic website.

*rolls eyes*

Those contests have nothing to do with either quality of music or popularity. They usually just measure who has the youngest fans (aka, the ones with no jobs).

Anonymous said...

Tokio Hotel fans claim cheating too. Does anyone really listen to Tokio Hotel?

Anonymous said...

Paramore has almost three times as many fans on facebook as MCR, so doesn't it make sense that they would win?

MCR fans as usual need a reality check.

Anonymous said...

They don't even know how the site works anyway. You can't refresh and vote again. The MTV poll only allows one vote per day per IP address.

MCR fans = DUMB.

When the Kings of Leon first appeared on the scene in the early 2000s a lot of people thought their backstory was bullshit: Three brothers and their cousin raised in the South by a strict, traveling Pentecostal preacher just seemed just too perfect to be true. Some British outlets even wanted to give the band a lie detector test. It turned out everything they said about their past was true, and their new documentary Talihina Sky backs up every word of it

That is going to be one hellofa documentary from the looks of it. :)

Anonymous said...

"I'm gonna die but it aint gonna be tonight." ♥

Anonymous said...

I can't imagine what life was like for them growing up -- traveling all over the south with their father in an old car while he preached at revivals.

I saw an interview Jared did once where he talked about how he couldn't really look forward to anything as a kid because he was always expecting the "Rapture" to come at any time. That sounds like a pretty crappy childhood.

Anonymous said...

But they always knew they were loved no matter what they did. Even if they were going to hell they knew their family loved them enough to pray for them. ;)

Their parents did something right. Instilled core values in those boys and taught them what was important.

Anonymous said...

I think Nathan and Jared seem okay now, but I worry about Caleb. To me it seems as though he has a lot of inner demons. I think he idolized his father; he has often said he wanted to be a preacher just like him, but when his father left the church and his parents divorced, it was like his entire world was jerked out from under him.

I think Caleb struggles a lot with the disparity between his upbringing and his current lifestyle. I know he doesn't do drugs anymore, but he still drinks way too much.

I just don't see how growing up in a fundamentalist Christian environment can be good for anyone.

Anonymous said...

In an interview with Billboard, Nathan Followill described how the band was formed. "When we signed the deal [with RCA], it was just me and Caleb. The label said, 'We're gonna put you a band together', and we were like, 'We don't want to be Evan and Jaron. We're going to buy our little brother a bass, he's a freshman in high school. Caleb will teach himself the guitar. [Matthew] played guitar when he was 10. I'll play the drums, I played in church when I was little.' They said, 'All right, we'll come down in one month and see you guys.'"

Later in the interview the brothers admitted to "kidnapping" their cousin Matthew from his hometown in Mississippi in order for him to join the band. They told his mother that he was only going to be staying for a week and just never let him go home. "We locked ourselves in the basement with an ounce of marijuana and literally spent a month down there. My mom would bring us food down," added Nathan. "And at the end of that month the label people came and we had "Molly's Chambers," "California Waiting," "Wicker Chair," and "Holy Roller Novocaine."

What a backstory they have!

Anonymous said...

California Waiting is still my favorite KOL song -- the version on the EP anyway.

Anonymous said...

They didn't grow up Christian fundamentalists. They grew up as members of the United Pentecostal Church.

The UPCI adheres to a "Oneness" concept of the Godhead, in contrast to traditional Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Protestant understandings, which incorporate Trinitarian dogma. Hence, an understanding of Oneness is critical in any analysis of UPCI doctrine.

Anonymous said...

Fundamental Christians are part of the Protestant and Baptist churches and theologies.

Anonymous said...

The Pentecostal Church is generally considered to be a fundamentalist religion. They draw much of their belief systems from Baptists and Methodists. They take the bible literally. In my opinion, that makes them fundamentalist.

I've know Pentecostal churches where the people speak in tongues and handle snakes as part of the service. They're actually quite scary.

Anonymous said...

*known

Anonymous said...

The UPCI embraces the view that speaking in tongues is the immediate, outward, observable, and audible evidence of the initial infilling of the Holy Ghost, and is the fulfillment of Jesus' commandment to be "born of the Spirit"

Anonymous said...

Christian fundamentalists believe in the Holy Trinity as 3 separate beings distinct from one another. God the Father. God the Son. God the Holy Spirit.

The Trinitarian dogma.

The Penecostal Church does not follow the trinitarian dogma. Their belief is Oneness.

Oneness Pentecostal theology affirms that there exists only one God in all the universe. It affirms the deity of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. However, Oneness theology denies the Trinity. The Trinity is the doctrine that there is one God who manifests Himself as three distinct, simultaneous persons. The Trinity does not assert that there are three gods, but only one. This is important because many groups who oppose orthodoxy, will accuse Trinitarians of believing in three gods. But this is not so. The doctrine of the Trinity is that there is one God in three persons.

Oneness theology denies the Trinity and teaches that God is a single person who was "manifested as Father in creation and as the Father of the Son, in the Son for our redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in our regeneration

A completely different theology from Christian Fundamentalists.

Like drinking, doing drugs, fighting and shagging Kate Moss?

Anonymous said...

I've been a KOL fan since Aha Shake Heartbreak, and they've always been known for their rowdy lifestyle. Boozing, drugs, groupies, brawls, all that over-excessive rockstar stuff. Nathan even put Caleb in the hospital with a dislocated shoulder a couple of years back.

Although they still seem to believe in God, they turned their backs on the Pentecostal Church a long time ago. They tell some rather unpleasant stories, like the one about thinking the end of the world was just around the corner, or Caleb's parents telling him he was going to hell for getting a skater haircut when he was a teenager.

They also say the lyrics of Holy Roller Novacaine is based on the true story of a preacher who would seduce the women in his congregation:

My darling you look lovely
I come to lay you down
Uncover your head and submit to me
We'll make a joyful sound
I don't care if you're by yourelf
Or you're all alone when you need my help
Keep that smile on your pretty face
'Cause you don't have much I can't take away
Dont you worry Baby
You won't feel a thing
Close your eyes
Holy Roller Novacaine

People speculate that it might be about their father. They haven't been close since their mom divorced him. Overall, they seem to have mixed feelings about their upbringing.

Can't say that I blame them.

Anonymous said...

Oh cool, more religious stuff~

Anonymous said...

It sounds like they grew up in Jesus Camp.

*shudders*

Did anybody here see that movie? I couldn't watch the whole thing. It was much, much more disturbing to me than Mysterious Skin.

Anonymous said...

Seems the band is up to its old tricks again with fans.

Sounds to me like maybe they aren't getting along so well? Or maybe Lindsey was waiting for Gerard at the hotel or on the bus. He has a habit of ignoring fans and throwing diva fits whenever he wants to get back to his significant other (even when it was Eliza).

Different tour. Same crappy behavior.

Wonder who they'll blame (and who will get the sack) this time?

Anonymous said...

I don't really buy the "they had somewhere important to be" bit. After a show, it's late and I doubt they had anything more important to do.

I'm not saying they have to take the time to sign things or talk to every fan that waits for them, but if only a handful of fans is braving the Canadian cold to see them, the very least they could do is to smile, wave, and acknowledge they were there. All it would take is for one of them to say, "Sorry guys, we can't stop to talk. But thanks for coming tonight." How much effort would that have taken?

Anonymous said...

Oh get over it. The band can't come out to meet everyone and fans need to stop being so entitled.

You just look for things negative to say about them.

This place is a joke and it is dying with only one or two posters, while MCR still has its thousands of fans. MCR is here to stay and you are one or two angry bitches.

I hope you are miserable with your Godless lives and your stupid actor idols who you will never meet. No wonder Gerard calls you cunts.

Hypocrites, all two of you. Bitter, old, stupid and boring. Why do you even bother?

Anonymous said...

These two old bitter hypocrites must be interesting because you're always here. You do you even bother?

Anonymous said...

Face it you love this place.

Anonymous said...

A even bigger hypocrite is one who idolizes a person that beats his chest and demeans teenage girls on the internet, then comes here with double standards judging others while bleating about Christianity.

Anonymous said...

I'm tired of seeing links and mentions of this place around. People laugh at you mostly, but there is the myth out there that there are many MCR haters, but when you come here, you see it is only the same few people who bring things up, as you can tell from the style of writing. Kapunua comments as anons who love this JGL and the LynZ hater comes to call her a racist or whatever, and this is probably papalani who hides behind feminist rhetoric to hate on Gerard since his marriage.

MCR fans, do not fall for this. They trawl the internet trying to find things to criticize. The rest of the world does not share in these opinions, and MCR is still much loved by their fans and the people who matter.

Killjoys, make some noise!

Anonymous said...

My suggestion to you is go throw (away)some of your money to your loved band. They'll love you even more for it.

Anonymous said...

And we two old bitter stupid boring people will continue not to matter to a joke band and keep talking about actors, books and movies here.

Anonymous said...

Killjoys, make some noise!

And show me the money!

The funniest thing is that idiots like you really think that the band cares for you. Hahahahahhaahahahaha
They don't give a flying fuck as you could just witness when they trotted along while stupid asshat fans stood there whining and moaning for them acknowledging their pathetic love letters being waved at them and their whiny pleas to autograph their diaries and Tiger Beat posters of the band.
They only want your money and they only talk to you on Twitter when they have something to sell to you idiot fan girlies.
They call you cunts when on stage with their ridiculous side project and write songs about you setting yourself on fire.
They don't want you! They hate your guts for making them a laughing stock among other bands. They hate your guts because they know how dependend they are on you and your pocket money.

I'm so looking forward to Reading and Leeds. I wish I could be there and piss into a bottle to throw it in Gerard's fugly face and smash it.
I wouldn't even be so greedy and ask for six bucks and a Dr. Pepper. My piss is for free!!!

I've heard lots of comments from fans about how 'angry' Gerard seems on this tour. I think the reason for that is what we've been seeing in the reviews: the fanbase very young and mostly female.

I remember how hard Gerard used to court his male fans at meet and greets. That was my first clue how he truly felt about his female fans.

He thinks by gaining male fans, the band will have a better reputation and 'street cred'. How sad that the very people defending Gerard are the ones he doesn't want, yet he's stuck with them. He knows that if the young girls leave, there won't be anyone buying his 'art' and he won't be able to pay his bills.

This most likely is why he is angry, and why he lashes out at those same young girls. Sucks to be him, I suppose. But I think it would suck more to be one of those poor brainwashed fansheep who support someone who, deep down, can't stand them.

MCR have turned into a joke, but they only have themselves to blame. Seriously, what on earth made them think DD would reach a wider audience? My brothers laugh at their new videos. They don't consider MCR as "rock n roll". If they want male fans they need to change their image, pronto.

Anonymous said...

Big surprise. MCR treat their fans like shit, yet the MCRmy keeps comin' back for more.

Anonymous said...

So wait. You FEMINISTS are saying MCR needs to get guys to like them to have credibility?

Lol. I find that quite ironic.

Anonymous said...

We aren't saying MCR needs male fans. We're saying that the band wants them. Duh.

Anonymous said...

So wait. You FEMINISTS are saying MCR needs to get guys to like them to have credibility?

Men, even the bandmembers themselves, think a musician needs male fans to have 'cred'. This is why Gerard always kisses up to male fans and why the label planted those sock puppets like 'talicadude' to promote the band to guys.

If you read some of the reviews written by males, you'll see that many of them are, in fact, denigrating MCR's music because their fan base is largely very young and female. This is actually a part of the misogyny that MCR plays into.

I think that is kind of ironic.

Lynn said...

I didn't want the girls to want to fuck me, I wanted the straight guys to want to fuck me.

That's pretty hard seeing as the fanbase is mostly made up of young girls.

Same shit as always. You have nothing to complain about so you find a troll on twitter who is pretending to be Gerard.

Here's what the 'troll' has to say about GWay's tweet to siobhan.

No. Crazy person who likes all the attention of pretending to be Gerard Way. There are plenty of those around.

I don't think people who pretend to be celebrities are necessarily crazy. I think most of them are sad lonely people. The same with people who pretend to have relationships with celebrities. It's so sad.

Worse are those who manage to convince themselves that they really do have a special relationship with a celebrity.
That's where crazy and delusional can come in and that can turn dangerous.

In other, less eye-rolling news, here is the official trailer for Hesher, finally! This movie looks intriguing and pretty funny, too.

And then, to quote one of my favorite films, I now officially know too much.

Welp, I'd better get back to minding these 9050 children of mine. Oh, I know I said I only had 50, but then you have to consider the OVER NINE THOUSAND ones I had by Jared Leto that one time.

Oh, speaking of! This Is War was released yesterday, the video I mean. I need to run right now, but I'll find the link later if anyone cares to see it. Or if anyone else feels like posting it, that'd be cool. I was surprised because it wasn't what I thought it would be. I really liked the idea of it. Still thought of Tropic Thunder, though. ^_^

Okay, well, life is busy with all these husbands and OVER NINE THOUSAND kids around this house. It gets a little crowded, let me tell you.

Oooooh, so disturbing. :/

Anonymous said...

I would like to see that video. Did Jared direct it?

Anonymous said...

Those concert watch posts on lj are just waaay creepy. Fans try to guess the setlists and wait all night for tweets from the shows to come in. Then they go on Youtube hunts for videos.

I love music as much as the next person, but when one of my favorite bands is playing in another country or all the way on the other side of this one, I couldn't care less what they play. I just wait for the show I'm going to.

MCR fans are so obsessive it's scary.

kapunua said...

I believe he did! Here it is on their youtube.

It's really not what I expected and I was glad they went in this direction.

Though honestly, every time I see anyone playing at "war films" and stuff, all I can think of anymore is Tropic Thunder. O_O

The new 30 STM video is disappointing. All I saw was three dudes shooting randomly into the sky. Well, at least they must have had fun doing it.

I thought of Iron Man when I watched that video. The scenes of the Humvee driving through the desert made me think of Tony Stark in the "Funvee". Lol.

I enjoyed the video. Well, mostly I just enjoyed looking at Jared's gorgeous face, but yeah.

kapunua said...

HA, I thought of Iron Man, too! But really what I liked with this video was that I didn't expect the whole part with the crazy, flying war-machines getting all swept away.

Yeah, but I didn't really know what they were shooting at. ^_^

First let me say that the movie doesn't really look like my particular cup of tea, but, OH TOM. He looks amazing, and it's so cool to hear him do an American accent. He'll be amazing as usual.

I'll see this for him. Same goes for Hesher and JGL. :D

Hesher I would have watched anyway. ^_^

This Is War is the first 30STM video that Jared did not direct. I don't think he was happy with the initial results of the video which is why it took a year to be released. He had to reedit.

Anonymous said...

The mere fact that this effects-heavy video exists is something of a triumph. The band shot "This Is War" with director Edouard Salier more than a year ago, but filmed, edited and released the follow-up single "Closer To The Edge" while "War" was on hold. "'This Is War' is the first video that I let someone else direct, and let's just say we won't be doing that again anytime soon," Jared Leto told MTV News last summer. To prepare, the band trained and consulted with military special forces to accurately portray U.S. soldiers.

I would love to see the original version of the video to see the differences between Edouard Salier's vision and Jared Leto's.
