A funny pic for you guys.....

This is one for all of you who turned me on to Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
(It got cut off but it says "Every guy who is tired of hearing how cute and wonderful jgl is".)

I thought this was relevant to this blog's interests because "turning racist" (really misogynist) and/or getting involved with a racist band was obviously such a huge turning point, and was part of what created this blog and drawing everyone here. I also thought it was really funny.

But thank you JGL fans. For introducing me to a little movie called Brick. It was a masterpiece. I just watched Stop Loss recently and he was really good in that too.

Happy new year (sorry it's late) and I hope everyone is having a great year!

“Gerard once called me sweet momma in bed once. Crazy” - Lynz Way

My, my, my. How did I miss this?

Triple ewwwwwwwwwwww

Anonymous said...

UNF, YEAH, Ewan is the finest man ever. No one even comes close. GOD. SO much adoration. ♥

Have to agree, he is very cute!

Anonymous said...

"Ok, so I understand there are a lot of you out there who hate me for marrying your man." - Lindsey Way

Anonymous said...

Gerard Way is not a man. He's a little boy in a humpy little man's body.

Anonymous said...

For anyone who hasn't seen this already, Tom Hardy being UNF-worthy on Chatty Man.

He's such a cutie. I don't usually like a guy who's that tatted up, but it looks good on him. :D

Welshie said...

3:33. That as very harsh. I don't think there was any need for that.

Anonymous said...

Meh. Gerard doesn't seem very manly to me.

Anonymous said...

The more I read what that woman says the more she reinforces my image of her as an immature twit.

Anonymous said...

Is there a source for these new Lynz quotes?

Anonymous said...

I think someone is making them up.

I would hate to think what his "sweet momma" will be revealing next.

Anonymous said...

Who cares? She doesn't strike me as a bright individual, so I don't find what she has to say very interesting at all.

Anonymous said...

He's such a cutie. I don't usually like a guy who's that tatted up, but it looks good on him. :D

I like that his tatts are all black and how he doesn't have a technicolor sleeve or anything like that.

It's insane how attractive I find that man. Even his little flaws (like his uneven teeth) are sexy.

I love to hear him talk too.

Lynn said...

I think those quotes are made up by fans. I personally like this one,
"Gerard once called me Frank in bed and i knocked the shit out of him" ^_~

Anonymous said...

Or how about, "Gerard asked me to let my hair get all greasy, wear blue contacts and sing All That I've Got in bed once."

Lynn said...

LOL! I can picture that in my mind and i can't make it stop! LOL!

kapunua said...

UNNNNGGGGHHH omg, are we on Tom Hardy today? That little interview clip greeted me on Tumblr first thing this morning.

he is so beautiful, I don't even have real words, just noises.

Welshie said...

OMG thank you for the link 4:04. That guy's absolutely adorable. Adorable I tell you. That smile, that shrieking voice, those teef, the schmexy glasses.
*sigh*

Tom Hardy's not bad either.

kapunua said...

LMAO Welshie! :) You know, that other guy really was cute!

Anonymous said...

I love Alan Carr! He is so entertaining, I'd watch him even if he didn't have any guests to interview.

Anonymous said...

he is so beautiful, I don't even have real words, just noises.

Isn't he though? That clip is all over the everywhere. This is, like, the 5th or 6th place I've seen it posted.

Oh, and I've watched it every single time. :)

Anonymous said...

Really?

That's great! Happy for you! :D

Anonymous said...

It's great that you're getting something from Tiny Stories, Kapunua. You should. As someone who bought it, I wouldn't want it any other way.

kapunua said...

Thank you! I was so happy that people bought it. It's such a great little book. And the awesome thing is that its creator, Wirrow, is making a mint off it. I have a not-tiny fondness for Wirrow so I love to see him get props for this.

Thanks, guys! ^_^ I'm so happy!

They should consider wearing those balaclavas permanently. MASSIVE improvement.

^_^

Anonymous said...

Ooooh, they look sooo dangerous in their Blues Brothers costumes with balaclavas over their faces.

Not. Little men-boys playing dress-up. As always.

Anonymous said...

So, just for the record, it's NOT okay to call a man fat, but it IS okay to degrade someone with racial slurs, tell them where they can and cannot shit just because they have a vagina, and tell them they should have had an abortion just because they have noisy children.

Alrighty then. Great work for equality you're doing there, MCR.

Anonymous said...

lol calm down mate!

Anonymous said...

lol get lost mate!

Anonymous said...

you people are so mature...

Anonymous said...

Yeah, we're telling women they should have abortions because their kids ruined a film for us.

Oh wait.

Anonymous said...

I like the black suits and balaclavas. Those NME performances were hot. I liked the message of the balaclavas too. It's the music that matters not what the band members look like.

Anonymous said...

Good for you, 11:28?

I don't share your opinion, but you're most welcome to it.

Anonymous said...

I liked the message of the balaclavas too. It's the music that matters not what the band members look like.

Been done before. But then, that's what Gerard/MCR do, right? Copy other bands?

Anonymous said...

it's getting old...really old!

Anonymous said...

I think MCR should do all their shows, interviews, photoshoots, etc. with those balaclavas on their faces. Then we'd see how many of their fans were in it only "for the music".

Anonymous said...

Why did they sing Vampire Money? That song is about not selling out to Twilight, right? What about selling out to Glee? What do they call that?

And one more thing, the music industry is all about image now. Think Lady GaGa, Rihanna, etc. The music alone is simply not enough anymore. I found the balaclava thing ridiculous, especially when Frank said "it should be about the music only". What a joke. If that's the case, why do they dress up as "killjoys"?

MCR-beyond a joke.

Anonymous said...

Beyond a joke is right.

How can you believe anything they say when they'll just do an 180 on any "message" when they do another record? They are so full of shit.

Anonymous said...

It was about the music only when AP put those Edward Cullenized pictures of them on their cover, wasn't it? LMAO.

Anonymous said...

Coming from a band who wore matching marching band costumes, had an elaborate stage show with face melting pyro, and whose lead singer dyed his hair platinum blond so he would look like a "cancer patient" on their last big tour, a statement like "it should be about the music only" is completely and utterly ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

Not to mention a lead singer who starves himself to get 'that gaunt look of being on the run' for his video promo.

Anonymous said...

What kills me is how the fans just eat this shit up. Do they never stop and think, "Oh wait. Didn't they just say the opposite of this last year?"

It's like they turn off the logic part of their brains or something.

Anonymous said...

Nothing like a "message" to rally all your old fans back so you can get more sales.

Anonymous said...

Last year they were the no message band. Art was the weapon and the aftermath was secondary. They must have realized that equated to plummeting sales...

Anonymous said...

Message = slick marketing

Anonymous said...

And don't forget Lindsey's spiel about how a musician who just goes onstage and plays music is boring, but if someone lights their guitar on fire, that's a show.

How does this fit in with the "it should be about the music only" attitude?

Anonymous said...

Maybe they decided that being like MSI wasn't getting them anywhere sales-wise.

Although, it's a bit late to come to that conclusion after all the MSI-like things they've done the past couple of years.

Anonymous said...

You know, if MCR "keep it all about the music", maybe then the fans will realize how crap it actually is.

This could be a good thing!

Anonymous said...

You know, if MCR "keep it all about the music", maybe then the fans will realize how crap it actually is.

This. MCR could never have made it on music alone.

Anonymous said...

I think the message was directed more at NME than the fans.

IOW
It's about the music not Ray's supposed love handles.

Anonymous said...

MCR imo have always been a package: music and image. That's the formula that works for most bands and what drew all their fans in the first place.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, but when they go out of their way to make it about their appearance (e.g., Gerard's "patient hair", his "gaunt" look, the matching band uniforms, etc.), they can't expect people not to notice and comment on their appearance.

They can't have it both ways.

Anonymous said...

I think the message was directed more at NME than the fans.

I think that's more a show. More like lets hate on NME, create controversy which keeps NME happy because their awards got attention.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, it's all about the music. Riiight.

Just have a look at the comments here. Funny how they all go on about Gerard's hair, how "cute" and "tiny" the boys in the band are, etc., while they talk about how it's "all about the music".

LMAO. Seems when it comes to MCR's appearance, the only thing off limits is to say something negative (like that Ray has love handles).

Anonymous said...

"OH GOD, I totally thought from the vids from Newcastle last night that Gerard had re-dyed his hair and I see I was correct."

"I was at the show last night and it didn't look freshly dyed, or the ends didn't. But he's had it cut today so maybe that's why! =)"

"[giggles] Yeah, because someone might see his roots and think the color isn't real."

"Just. <3 They all look amazing, like actual rock stars. [misty-eyed] Our boys are all grown up!"

"AHAHAHAHA FRANKIE'S HEIGHT WILL NEVER NOT BE ADORABLE. And I think their matching outfits are fucking precious"

"XD Our boys are so tiny!"

"It's about the music not the teeny tiny widdle messengers. Bless."

Yeah. And that's just from the first few threads of comments. It goes on and on.

It's not about their appearances at all, is it?

*rolls eyes*

Anonymous said...

Apparently this is what GW said Don't ever let the media tell you what your body is supposed to look like. You're beautiful the way you are. Stay beautiful.Keep it ugly

Anonymous said...

Seriously, Gerard. You stopped being someone young girls could look up to and believe in when you did that "fuck yourselves" thing.

What about when he announced at the KROQ show that "skinny was cute". This band and their changing "messages" give me whip lash.

Anonymous said...

He was right.
Skinny is cute.
Nothing wrong with skinny.

Anonymous said...

skinny people are beautiful too. ;)

Anonymous said...

You know what's cute?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He's skinny, but not in an I starved myself kind of way. From the looks of him, he's just naturally skinny. So is Mikey.

People who starve themselves to be skinny are not cute. They're unhealthy.

Anonymous said...

Seems the boxsets are finally rolling in and guess what? Many fans are disappointed, saying the guns are just molded plastic with crappy paint jobs. Some are even chipped and have letters missing. They say they paid way too much for crappy merch.

Even diehards are saying they won't be buying any limited edition boxsets from MCR from now on.

kapunua said...

I doubt she knows what goes on in the MCRSI inner circle these days.

Anonymous said...

What do her tweets say?

twitter.com/elizasiep

She is still in touch with some of their friends/aquaintances. It's possible for her to have heard something through the grapevine.

Anonymous said...

Yes, and she's still close friends with Elissa (The Terrible Miss E), who remained very close to Alicia and Mikey. She would still know what was going on in the band's inner circle even after she was booted from it.

Anonymous said...

Rob Hitt, Matt Skiba, Mat Divine, Jon Riviera, James...
There's plenty of ways for her to have heard something.

Anonymous said...

I don't see anything in her tweets that seems to relate to MCR.

Goodbye!
Thursday February 24, 2011 | Posted by: mikael
Hello Killjoys! This post is equal parts sad and fun, but that’s how it goes sometimes. First, the sad: After four amazing years at Warner Bros Records working with MCR, I am moving on. Getting to meet all of you has been so amazing, you are the greatest fans in the world, and you’ve made my job so much fun.

Now, on to the fun news! I’d like to introduce Tina, who will be here talking with all of you every day and helping to run mychemicalromance.com. If you ever have questions, or you need help with something, send her a note. She is absolutely amazing, and is a true killjoy at heart.

Stay safe, and keep an eye out for BLI. I’ll see you all in Zone 6!

-Mikael

How would that affect Eliza?

Anonymous said...

How would anything to do with MCR affect Eliza anymore? It shouldn't.

I don't know how anybody can get they've broken up from her hell hath frozen over tweet.

Anonymous said...

I think it was the other way around. The "split up" anon didn't elaborate on who did the splitting, so you can only speculate.

Anonymous said...

I don't know who the hell this Mikael person is, and I don't care. Most of the people here don't follow MCR's every move. We only know what goes on with them from things posted here.

Anonymous said...

I just saw some clips from The Reckoning. Has anybody here seen it who can tell me what Tom Hardy is doing in drag?

*waits impatiently for the damn dvd to come from netflix*

Anonymous said...

I see more people here talking about MCR than I do TH. I think MCR and the happenings surrounding them still hold the majoritys interests.

Anonymous said...

Pete and Ashlee?

The Beatles?

All of the above and Gorillaz. ;)

Anonymous said...

You might see us talking about MCR, but that doesn't mean we hang out on their website and know all the people connected with them.

IKR? The Gorillaz thing upsets me way more than it should. So does the White Stripes thing. I never got to see them live. :(

Anonymous said...

Has anyone seen Tom Hardy in The Take? He plays a complete animal but he plays the part really well and he's such a good actor. I first saw him in The Virgin Queen playing Robert Dudley. He was really good in that too.

Anonymous said...

I haven't seen either of those movies. :(

I'm trying to watch all of TH's films right now. So far, I've only seen Inception, RocknRolla, Star Trek Nemesis, Bronson and Wuthering Heights.

He has been fantastic in all of them though.

I'll add those two to my list.

Anonymous said...

The Take was a four part TV drama based on the Martina Cole book. It came out on DVD so im sure it will be available on amazon or something. Its quite a gritty drama but he is really really good in it. :)

Anonymous said...

Both of those are available from Netflix, but I can't stream them so I'll have to wait for the DVD to come in the mail. Just like The Reckoning. Grrr.

Oh well. Tom's worth waiting for, I suppose.

I think JGL is still with his gorgeous super model gf though. Fuck that girl is perfection.

She'll dump him soon n move on to bigger and better. I'm sure.

Anonymous said...

Who's Tom Hard dating?

Anonymous said...

Tom Hardy is engaged to the lovely Charlotte Riley, who played Cathy to his Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights.

Anonymous said...

I don't think JGL's girlfriend can walk and chew gum at the same time but she sure is one beautiful sexy lil thing.

Anonymous said...

JGL is not engaged. He seems to me to be more the Leo type when it comes to women. Rumor has it he goes through them rather quickly.

Anonymous said...

^Leo as in DiCaprio. :)

Anonymous said...

So TH went for the actress / model type too. Not surprising.

Anonymous said...

I think Leo has dated every sports illustrated model who was born after 1975.

Anonymous said...

*sports illustrated swimsuit model*

Anonymous said...

It makes sense to me that an actor would date another actor. But really, what difference does it make. It's not like those of us who are fans of TH or JGL want to be the women in their lives.

Hells no. That's a can of worms I'd rather not have to deal with.

Anonymous said...

Then it should also make sense to you that a musician would want to date another musician.

An artist would want to date another artist.

Why all the Lyndsey Way hate here? Where's the understanding for her?

Anonymous said...

Why the snide comments about her looking years older than her age or her choice of tattoos?

It's more than just her band lyrics and what she's said in interviews. It's jealously. Plain and simple.

Anonymous said...

In case you haven't noticed, we don't like Gerard either.

As for Lindsey, she's not a musician. She backbends and plucks at a bass while a backing track plays.

Anonymous said...

It's more than just her band lyrics and what she's said in interviews. It's jealously. Plain and simple.

No, it's really not.

Besides, I've never found Gerard Way to be the least bit attractive. His voice along (that squawky Jersey accent) would be enough to drive me up a wall.

Lindsey can have him.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

If you haven't made those types of comments then you are not the people I'm talking to.

If you have made those types of comments
WTF? Get over it. You would never get GW, JGL, TH anyway. Just stating the facts.

Anonymous said...

I admit, I have not made any comments about Lindsey's looks, etc. Nor have I ever blamed Gerard's actions on her. I think that just a few people act like that, but you can't judge the whole blog by what they do.

Anonymous said...

You would never get GW, JGL, TH anyway. Just stating the facts.

Don't want GW, JGL or TH.

People like that are illusions, fantasies. Grown-ups don't harbor any delusions that they'll actually "get" one of those people.

I wouldn't want to trade in my nice, comfortable lifestyle for theirs. I'm happy where I am, thanks.

Anonymous said...

I do think the girls who come here and say awful things about Lindsey's looks, parenting skills, and that sort of thing are either jealous or they're trolls. I think GeewithoutLynz is a troll.

I don't pay much attention to those people.

Anonymous said...

Why all the Lyndsey Way hate here? Where's the understanding for her?

The woman is nothing more than a moron in my opinion. She has contributed to my opinion all by herself and it has nothing to do with her equally stupid husband.

Anonymous said...

I thought Eliza was a moron and it had nothing to do with Gerard. Eliza is a moron.

I don't really think Lindsey is a complete moron. Her husband is a moron though.

Anonymous said...

I think geewithoutlynz is Lynz. What better way to drum up support from the twitter crowd than by having some lunatic sock puppet attack you?

Anonymous said...

People like that are illusions, fantasies. Grown-ups don't harbor any delusions that they'll actually "get" one of those people.

I wouldn't want to trade in my nice, comfortable lifestyle for theirs. I'm happy where I am, thanks.

Exactly. Why would you want to deal with this nonsense? Groupies, stalkers, ass-kissers, users and coat-tail riders. And not to mention lack of privacy and fanfic.

That's not my idea of a good life no matter how much money you have.

Anonymous said...

No, I still think she's a moron. I also have the impression she manipulates people to get what she wants.

Anonymous said...

I don't pay much attention to those people.

You are a wise one. People like that aren't worth your attention.

For the record Lyndsey actually looks damn good for her age and for having a baby less than 2 years ago. Only people looking through the green glasses of envy would think otherwise.

Anonymous said...

And not to mention lack of privacy and fanfic.

I don't know which one of those I would hate more.
The lack of privacy or the fanfic about my husband f*cking his guitar player or his own brother.

It's insanity. Pure.fucking.insanity.
No emotionally grown ass mentally stable person has fantasies like that. None.

Anonymous said...

People who do have fantasies about things like that end up being the real life inspiration for a Tarantino movie.
No shit.

Anonymous said...

coming soon to a theatre near you. ;)

Anonymous said...

For the record Lyndsey actually looks damn good for her age and for having a baby less than 2 years ago. Only people looking through the green glasses of envy would think otherwise.

Many of my friends who have had children look still look fantastic because they have always looked after themselves. So it's not that unusual.

Anonymous said...

Another thing, always generalizing that dislike of a person simply amounts to jealously, is simplistic and actually sexist when it is always suggested as a prime motive for a female.

Anonymous said...

I see nothing about Lindsey to be envious of. I don't think she is intelligent, not impressed with her band or their music, not interested in her art, and don't care about her personal life.

In other words she is not representative of a female I would admire.

Anonymous said...

I dont think it's that unusual either. I just don't like people saying that Lyndsey looks years older than her age when she doesn't. It's a lie obviously born of jealousy.

Point.

Anonymous said...

I think she looks her age: that is someone who is in their mid-thirties.

Anonymous said...

No one said you had to admire the woman.

But true feminists, true sisters, do not need to criticise another woman's looks to make a point.

They do not need to call another woman fat or say she looks years older than her age or has horrible tattoos to make their points.

It diminishes their arguments and makes them look like petty jealous fools.

Anonymous said...

I dont think it's that unusual either. I just don't like people saying that Lyndsey looks years older than her age when she doesn't. It's a lie obviously born of jealousy.

Point.

I've never made comments to that effect but I don't necessarily agree with you. People see thing differently may have nothing to do with your pet reason, jealousy.

Hocking said...

I'd just like to point out that i have learned so much about feminism and sexism form this blog.. which i consider to be a good thing.

Anonymous said...

Doesn't it have to do with jealousy and envy?

Why bring Lyndsey's looks into it at all if you're such a feminist and you're not envious of her and who she married?

If you were what you claim to be you wouldn't need to mention anything about her looks.

Anonymous said...

But true feminists, true sisters, do not need to criticise another woman's looks to make a point.

And that is why all her supporters are doing precisely this to Gerard's immature fans?

Just so it teaches them something?

What, I am still trying to work out.

Hocking said...

Not to sound like im jealous or envious but i think its pretty stupid to get a tattoo of a dick and a chicken on one's arm....:P

Anonymous said...

That is good Hocking.

I'm sure will never again mock anything about another woman's physical appearance since you've learned so much. Right?

Anonymous said...

lulz

So much for what hocking learned!

Hocking said...

yea, i've definetly learned that. then again there's always going to be the common sense stuff...like why did they get that tattoo...

Anonymous said...

4:42 I think you should teach some of your reasoning to the woman herself. She seems to have a bad habit of assuming things about people and even her own sister simply based on appearance.

Anonymous said...

How come I don't see Hocking or anybody else here making fun of the ridiculous tattoos other people have?
Why is it just Lyndsey they pick on?

Why?

No. Let's not ignore that anymore than we ignore the regs here who have mocked Lyndsey because of her looks.

No reg has ever said she looked years older than her age?

No one here has ever implied that Lyndsey or anyone else is beneath them because of looks, size, education.

I agree with this completely, and I have never criticized Lindsey's looks. I have criticized her actions, however.

If you were what you claim to be you wouldn't need to mention anything about her looks.

Honestly? I don't think you can make generalizations like that. Some people bring looks into everything. They don't like this actor or this actress (politician, musician, newscaster, etc.) because they don't like the way he/she looks. It happens all of the time. People judge on appearance; it's just a fact of life.

Lindsey's look is unconventional. I have no problem with the way she looks, but some people might. It doesn't necessarily mean they are jealous.

Anonymous said...

How come I don't see Hocking or anybody else here making fun of the ridiculous tattoos other people have?
Why is it just Lyndsey they pick on?

Maybe because this blog was originally about Gerard and Lindsey?

I'm sure Hocking and other people here dislike a lot of people's tattoos. There are actual websites dedicated to bad tatts, you know. Disliking someone's tattoos is not an unusual thing.

Anonymous said...

I love Jepha Howard, but I hate his tatts. Some of them are okay, but he shouldn't have tatted up his neck.

I think Frank has too many tatts too. It's like he wants to cover every inch of himself with ink. Yeah, it's his body, but I don't have to like the way it looks.

Same goes for Lindsey's chicken. I don't know why she wants poultry on her arm, but it's her body.

I really don't like tattoos, i mean yea every now and then i see a neat one that changes my attitude towards them and i have thought about getting one for a sentimental reason but i really don't care for tattoos, and i perssonally find full arm sleves to be way to much.. its a waste of money in my opinion..i mean Lindsey and Frank and Alicia probably spent hundreds getting them.. where as that type of money could pay for my tuition for a year or for someone's appartment

I thought it was funny when Kat von D did Frank's tatt and she misspelled famiglia. She spelled it without the 'g' (familia, the Spanish translation, not Italian).

I wonder if he ever got that fixed?

The last time I went to a play on Broadway, there was an actress with a giant tattoo on her shoulder. Now this play was supposed to take place in the sixties and this woman was supposed to be an airline stewardess. Anyway, she had a scene where she walked onstage in a towel and despite all the heavy stage makeup she was wearing to cover it up, you could still see it.

I think that's one of the reasons I don't like tattoos. They're too much of a commitment. It's not like a hair color or a style of clothing. You can't change your mind or decide to do something different. Tatts are very defining and don't change when the person who has them changes.

I'll tell you who has some nice tatts. Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds.

Or it could be that he just makes the tatts look good. That man is absolute physical perfection.

Are you saying no regs have ever, ever talked about Lyndsey's looks?

No reg has ever said she looked years older than her age?

No one here has ever implied that Lyndsey or anyone else is beneath them because of looks, size, education.

I call bullshit.

You want to be a hypocrite. Be one. But I won't sit on my hands and let you do it without calling you out.

Don't put that woman down for doing the same things some of you have done.

Hey, I'm calling you out on your bullshit.

You are entitled to be against anyone for mocking anybody's appearance but don't come here to try to sanitize her and her behavior.

You're the hypocrite, denouncing people without even acknowledging her behavior and what she has said, which I may add was well before the inception of this blog.

But true feminists, true sisters, do not need to criticise another woman's looks to make a point.

Again tell that to Lindsey Balluto Way. And also remind her good friend Jessicka Addams.

Are you saying it's okay for Lindsey to call people fat, but not for some people here to say they don't like her tattoos or that she looks old?

I don't think any of it is okay. People should be held responsible for what they do, not how they look. And that includes Mrs. "Board kids are fat" Lindsey Way.

Another point: you don't have to like someone just because they share the same sex as you. Some people are just plain nasty. Male or female.

Anonymous said...

I agree 6:30.

Exactly.

I agree they are definitive at the time you get them and may not hold the same meaning as you get older. People develop. Who you are at 25 you're not at 50 or say, 60.

I also think that you wouldn't get a sleeve tattoo if at least subconsciously, you didn't want to be noticed.

I've never talked about Lindsey's looks or weight. Why would I? The woman is an idiot, filled with hate and ignorance. Who cares what she looks like?

For the record, Joe isn't going out with any supermodel. That gal is actually engaged to some other guy, and pregnant FRIU. He's pretty open about who he's been with for the last couple of years, it's no secret.

Tom Hardy has crazy tattoos and most of them are pretty hideous! :) But none of them are offensive.

I have a tattoo as well, though I like to think that mine is fairly tasteful. I even ran it past my boss and my company's "no visible tattoo" policy and they were like, "No, that's awesome, show it around." :) I was pretty happy.

I haven't seen The Take but I think it might be on Youtube? One Tom Hardy movie I have to recommend it Stuart, A Live Backwards." But, see it with a box of tissues and be prepared to hide your eyes. It's brutal and sad.

It didn't nightmare fuel me as badly as Mysterious Skin did, but it was enough.

Both movies were actually so fantastic. But very difficult to watch, in their own ways. Each of those two guys gives such heartfelt, wrenching performances that it can make for some really difficult viewing. I'd love love love to see them working together again, so I really hope these Batman rumors are true. :)

Although I wasn't a fan of the Dark Knight a few years ago, though. :/ Still, I'll see TDKR if those two are in it. ^_^

I find it hilarious that Lindsey's defenders are here again playing the feminism card when they don't seem to give a shit that she's in a racist, sexist band that promotes violence against women and mocks abuse against children. Maybe you should spend your effort tweeting at her instead, asking her why she thinks that's a positive thing?

Because they are too busy ass-kissing her.

That's brilliant news Kapunua. Super, smashing, great!
Congratulations.

"But true feminists, true sisters, do not need to criticise another woman's looks to make a point."

Tell that to LynZ when she's insulting her own sister. She did call her "crazy" and "fat", right? Lol, her fans make me laugh. Maybe you should take a good hard look at who your defending before you come on here.

"But true feminists, true sisters, do not need to criticise another woman's looks to make a point."

They also do not need to perform songs about 'sluts' 'bitches' or 'whores' just to make a point. Or use racial slurs that don't belong to them. Or mock the victims of child abuse. I could go on, but I think you understand my point.

Congrats to Kapunua.

But then we all knew you would pass. You are one smart lady. :)

kapunua said...

Thank you,Welshie and 9:09! :D I'm pretty relieved.

7:51, I agree with you so hard!

Anonymous said...

Congrats Kapunua.

Have you finished your course yet?

Anonymous said...

LOL! The *sock* is back!

Anonymous said...

Thank you 9:22, we really needed to know that *rolls eyes*

Anonymous said...

The sock is back? Where?
I like socks.
They keep my feet warm.

Anonymous said...

And that's where they belong: on your feet.

Not in your crotch.

They sure must be desperate to sell more records.

Anonymous said...

And they can't complain about fanfic. I'd imagine there will be a fresh batch of that shit.

Anonymous said...

I can't imagine why anyone would want to write fanfic about a sock.

I suppose it is a notch or 2 above writing band incest fanfics. Yeh. If forced to read fanfic with a gun to my head I would rather read about them jammin it in a sock than them jammin it to each other.

According to some of the fangirls who attended the recent concert he was "on heat" because he's been touring without Lindsey and "misses" her. They were not talking about a sock.

Anonymous said...

What? That is utterly disgusting 11:30.

Anonymous said...

Lol, the fangirls make me laugh. "On heat", indeed. They must think he's a cat.

Anonymous said...

On heat? Was somebody cooking him?

Anonymous said...

LMAO.

Anonymous said...

On heat = hard on

Anonymous said...

I thought that was "in heat"? At least that's the American version. Is "on heat" British?

Anonymous said...

In Britain "in heat" means feeling horny or whatever. I don't know what "on heat" means. Not that it matters. Gerard "on" or "in" heat makes me nauseous.

*shivers*

Anonymous said...

Gerard "on" or "in" heat makes me nauseous.

I second that nausea. And double your shiver.

Anonymous said...

On heat? Was somebody cooking him?

Lol, that was my first thought too. Then I thought maybe he hurt his back again and was wearing a heating pad strapped to it. ;p

To change the subject away from images requiring large doses of brain bleach...

I watched Stop Loss last night. For those of you who have seen it, what did you think?

I thought it was flawed in many places and my God, those Texas accents were BAD. But I did enjoy Ryan Phillippe's performance. Channing Tatum always just looks like a stick of wood to me, and Abbie Cornish acted like she was on quaaludes for the entire length of the film (she's Australian and maybe she thought Texan = Dumb or something).

I think JGL did a really good job with what little the sceenplay gave him. From the very beginning I knew his character was very troubled and that things would not go well for him. That's a testament to his acting ability and not the script.

Anyway, I'm happy to see him getting more lead roles. He's too good an actor to be playing fourth fiddle behind the likes of Ryan Phillippe, Channing Tatum and Abbie Cornish.

^ I'm never a huge fan of movies that glorify going to war, so I was cautious when I watched Stop Loss.

It turned around and surprised me because it actually had the guts to speak up about how stupid AND ILLEGAL the stop lossing was. It was a GW Bush thing, naturally, and at one point the lead character actually says "F--- the president." I was like, YEAH.

I realize most war films actually make the attempt to at least pretend that they aren't glorifying the act of going to war, but they still do. Movies are so afraid to insult anything even remotely military. So it was kind of refreshing to see some really flawed characters A) doing some really bad/stupid things and B) actually deciding to run away from war. And one of the only characters who's just itching to get back to war, doesn't turn out so well.

I watched the extras on that DVD, too. There's one part where JGL is recording this and that (as usual) and he's talking to a real soldier in boot camp. They start to have a really interesting conversation where Joe asks the guy what he thinks he's fighting for. And the soldier actually admits that he doesn't even believe in the war he's fighting (IIRC.) Joe goes on to ask him, paraphrased, "then why do you do it? Because I disagree with this war and as an American, it bothers me that it's being fought in my name."

You don't get to see the rest of the interview, though.

I should have realized that a far-left guy like Joe wouldn't do a pro-war film. :)

But yeah, as a film, it was pretty decent, but only worth a watch or two, to me.

I will watch Brick again tonight, though. ^_^
