Lindsey looks happy in the pic where she's holding Bandit by herself, but the one with Gerard looks posed and the body language is off. If you notice, the top of their bodies are kind of at an odd angle, like they aren't truly wanting to stand close to one another, although Gerard (as usual) has his hand in a rather peculiar (and almost inappropriate) place. Even Bandit looks like she's trying to get away from him.
And yes, I've probably spent way too much time reading about body language. ;p
I thought that was a very sweet picture of the Way family. I really do hope for their baby's sake that they will do what is right in regards to her. If that means Lindsey stays home and leaves that shit band behind and Gerard supports her, so be it. I wish them luck.

I agree, Lindsey does appear to love motherhood. I think Gerard seems like the detached father because he doesn't talk about Bandit but we don't really know what he's like when its just him and his family. I don't see that happening either. Lindsey made a comment not long ago about becoming very domestic and I know from experience how that feels. I fully planned to return to work when I was pregnant, but once my daughter arrived, I wanted to keep her home and safe and I wanted to be there with her. I wound up staying home with my children for 12 years. It's amazing how your priorities change.

I also think that their body language doesn't translate into what Gerard wants us to believe all the time while speaking about his amazing wifey and his über-cool life as a husband and father.
The picture looks staged to me, as if they would not know how to pose with each other and weren't really comfortable in touching each other.
If I was Gerard I would have wrapped my arms around Lindsey and the baby from behind and not stand behind her in a clear distance and awkwardly putting my hand on her hip to make sure that I belong to that woman with the baby.

("It just means that I've met someone who is really speacial, and that's all I'm going to say about that.")
From the way he has acted, especially compared to his shouting his great love for Lindsey from the rooftops, it seems to me that he's about as excited over being a father as he was getting engaged to Eliza.

I think what you fail to understand is that this blog is such a very tiny part of our lives. Honestly, do you think the people who comment here sit at our computers all day, every day, shoving "crisps" down our throats while frothing at the mouth with hatred for GWay?
I personally spend all of ten minutes a day here (maybe twenty if there is particularly interesting conversation going on) two or three times a week.
The rest of my time is spent contributing to society by earning a living, raising children, paying my taxes, giving to charity, and, yes, doing occasional volunteer work.

You can hardly blame the rawkstaa's of this world, after all, they're only about image (even though they like to pretend it's about the music). That's why you see so many of them with models.

I think the difference between MCR and KOL (and other bands) is that they never pretended to be anything they aren't. They're rockstars. They did drugs. They date models. They get drunk. And they don't make apologies for it. They have settled down a lot since the early days when they were doing cocaine and dating celebs, but you don't hear them bragging about how they quit cocaine or how they want to save their fans' lives.

Thankfully, Gerard talked the other members of MCR (Ray was much fuzzier back then) into breaking me out of prison dressed as Storm Troopers. The plan was not terribly well thought out, but we managed to escape. If not for Gerard I would be dead!

The thing is that I took Gerard's side quite a few times on this blog and I give credit where credit is due. I'm not like most of those pathetic fan sheep who aren't able to differenciate anymore if he's behaving according to his self-imposed moral codex in all honesty or if he's talking out of his ass to hide his hipocrisy and sell his albums.

As far as I know Lindsey made her own living too. It just might not have been enough for her. And who says that Caleb's (?) girlfriend makes that much money? It is a myth that all models are millionaires. Not everyone earns 10.000$ a day or more like Gisele or Heidi or all those other topmodels. Maybe Caleb is her mealticket too? After all, you can only work as a model for a short time in your life and then you have to look for another job or a wealthy man. ^_^

I am a fan of Kings of Leon, but I don't fangirl over them excessively here or anywhere else. I think there's a possibility that there are one or two people who comment about them a lot and maybe talk to one another, but it's not like they cover page after page doing that.
The thing with KOL is that the sort of people who like or liked MCR aren't all that likely to be into KOL's music. KOL is more straight up rock n roll with some southern boogie influences. There aren't any over-dramatics and few angsty lyrics. So, I doubt that a lot of the people here are into them. I personally think that's their loss because most people who don't really like KOL haven't really listened to KOL, but that's their choice.
Anyway, I've seen people here talk about TBS, The Used, Brand New, 30STM and other bands as well as KOL. It's not like they're the pet band of the blog.

Brand New is my favorite band, hands down. Jesse Lacey's lyrics are dark and very layered. Gerard Way only wishes he knew his way around a metaphor like Jesse does.
Their new album Daisy is very good, but the best place to start with their music is the second album, Deja Entendu. The song Guernica gives me chills. I'm pretty sure you can listen to most of their songs on their facebook and maybe their myspace. You should definitely check them out. :D

Manson really does come off very well in interviews. I loved how he handled the Columbine incident. He made all his detractors look like idiots.
I know most people will get angry with me over this, but I think he pegged Gerard perfectly when he accused him of being unoriginal. I think he could see that Gerard was not taking existing art forms and ideas putting his own with them to create something new; he was just outright stealing. And he saw it way before the rest of us did.

I don't know how it is in Europe or the UK, but here in the states the people who listen to KOL are mostly well-to-do kids. The jocks and cheerleader types at my school like them. When they played a show here all of them got together and went to it and then afterwards tons of boys started dressing in flannel shirts, skinny pants and boots and were trying to grow beards.
I think KOL puts off the "disenfranchised" kids. The ones who listened to MCR for the most part will never fit in with the KOL crowd.

& I was reading through a new issue of Kerrang! which came out this Wednesday, and I was looking at the weekly feedbacks and I saw 3 feedbacks which I must say that I whole-heartedly agree...but anyway there were 2 feedbacks that I had been thinking about involving Lyn-Z's solo interview in which she said she found it extremely offensive and disgusting being called Mr. Gerard Way...
Here are the 2 feedbacks...
1/ "It's FUCKED that I'm now known as Mrs Gerard Way," says Lyn-Z, K! 1211. Surely that's gotta be better than: "Isn't that the bass player from Mindless Self Indulgence, Jimmy Urine's shit band?"
2/ (This feedback was claimed as the Letter of the Week...)
"Three things really pissed me off about your interview with Lyn-Z (K! 1211)...The first, that girls need to see a woman onstage to be able to believe that they could make it as a rock musician. I don't know about any other female K! readers, but I never looked at Steve Harris, or Tony Iommi, and thought, 'damn it, I can never do this because he's a guy and I'm a gal'. Clearly the woman believes she's a feminist, but she thinks like a sexist. The second, that if girls do need a good female role model (and they are good to have around) she's the one to be it. Now, I don't know what everyone think of these two feedbacks that I read from Kerrang!, but everyone is well entitled to their own opinions, and can express them well free and independently...So, I'm going to express mine...& this is not a hater's blog btw...
I do agree with the feedbacks...& when I came to thinking about female role models in the world of rock music, I can already think of a few that are way better compared to Lyn-Z...e.g. Amy Lee (Evanescence), Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation), Anette Olzon (Nightwish), Hayley Williams (Paramore)...they are all great, amazing front-women of their own individual great, brilliant band...I think every girl out there can really look up to them and be inspired...
Secondly, when I read ROCK SOUND magazine, featuring MSI interview, in which Lyn-Z said that "Mindless Self Indulgence ARE the only punk rock band currently around..." I think she was arrogant there... She cannot just say that....there are a great many other punk rock bands that came out much earlier than MSI and have more experiences....and they are still around...e.g. Green Day, The Sex Pistols and the Misfits etc...
My final thing to say is that if Lyn-Z really want to be a female role model then she really needs to act more mature and sensibly...stop moaning about how offensive and disgusting it is to be called Mrs. Way...and be less arrogant!

I loved that interview where Manson was being asked his opinions on different musicians who had painted the "blade runner" bar across their faces. If you read it with an open mind, you'll see that he really did nail his criticisms, and he liked some of them.

2.10, re Muse, my advice to you is to listen 10 times and then sit back and think. I actually love parts of it so much, and then don't like others. I don't much like "Undisclosed Desires" and I really don't like track 8, the jazz fest "woo" number. Although I like the pretty French singing. I have come to accept and appreciate the three orchestral songs, and respect Matt on his ability to write all the string sections to that, and it is not out of place on the album.
But I totally love tracks 1,2,4, 5,6 and not so much, but still 7. Some of them are monsters, that others would be physically incapable of writing. That's what keeps me going. Every band is allowed to experiment, and let's face it Muse are a quirky band that have always experimented...or is that just Matt?
Either way, embrace what's good, and appreciate the rest because atleast they are very talented musicians and singers, unlike a few bands we could name!
Did anyone of you ever see the video in which Lindsey talks about board kids? I've found it on YouTube but unfortunately it's private.

I can't remember exactly who was taping it, but they asked Lindsey what she thought about "board kids." And she said something like, "Board kids? I like, hate them. I mean I really, really, like just hate them. Because they're like, really, really mean? You know?"
And then somebody else (a guy I think) said, "And fat."
Then Lindsey laughed and said, "And fat. And they say like, really, really mean things about you? You know? And then like, after the show they're like, Oh, you're so great. Can I take a picture with you?' I, like, just really, really hate them."
Not exact, but if I remember correctly, that's pretty close.
Lindsey is so articulate.
i remember that video was pretty old, long before she and gerard married.
