So since the last time I posted, apparently LynZ and Kitty did an interview where they said that people who don't like them are "fat" and "sit around eating crisps all day". This goes really well with her saying that she is "inspirational". Very mature of them. But that is to be expected from MSI members who think that slur words are funny.
Also MCR released a video for Desolation Row and LynZ is in it. Not surprisingly.
Wow good thing she doesn't want to be associated with MCR! Of course the fact that they are both lying when they say that is old news.
Ex fans are calling them My Mindless Chemical Self Indulgent Romance. Or other variations of that. That name seems very appropriate.
Again I just want to say..... I never censor this blog. I don't care what you all say. I just want you to have a place to day it. I don't agree that LynZ or Gerard should be picked on for their looks when it is their actions that are disgusting. I don't think that "fat" should be an insult (like LynZ seems to think)..... but you say what you want.
Also, to address one more thing. This has always been my blog. Verita Venom. That's my name up there. While I don't LIKE the arguing that sometimes goes on here I also will not try to stop it. Like I said, it is not my time they are wasting, it is theirs. Telling people to leave this blog is not appropriate. The only line I draw here, is slur words. All opinions are welcome. If fangirls come in complaining about everyone here, they are also allowed. You can say what you want to them but you can't ask them to leave or go to another blog. Well you CAN tell them that but nothing is going to enforce it so it's a little pointless. This blog is open to all and it always has been.
Also due to the nature of the things happening at certain other blogs in the last few months, I would also draw the line at people's information getting posted, and anyone who gets into the REAL LIFE of others. Its funny that she thinks its only the fans who've made comments about her "playing" cause I've read quite a number of critics who have questioned her ability as well. They've seen her play live, jumping around like a freakin' idiot and they've seen her bass unplugged. What does that tell you?
She probably thinks that because she's been in the game for a useless 10 or 12 years now, that she doesn't have to prove herself anymore. Guess what honey, its the music business, you have to prove yourself everyday! I'm sorry, but the economy isn't what it use to be, and I personally don't believe that anyone should have to pay a dime to see someone flailing around pretending to play their instrument.
And, she's sadly mistaken, to think that just because her husband is Geetard from MCR, that it exempts her from ever having to prove herself again. If anything, she has to prove herself twice as much. Cause now, she's not only a woman playing bass in a very sexist and male dominated field, but she's also being scrutinized because of her recent popularity. People have put more emphasis on her because everyone sees her new found success as the winnings of a very skilled opportunist.
If she is so offended by what fans and critics have to say, then all she has to do is the following. She has access to any given stage, she has the time, she has fan-sheep money. Prove everyone wrong and step up your game. Its just that simple. But don't play with a back track playing in the background or play with the help of a sound engineer. Just plug in your bass, crank your amp and prove us wrong. She'll stop the doubters and the speculations. But, she won't do it, cause we all know she's a poser and she sucks ass.

Soon all the fangirls will be fleeting to new bands such as All Time Low. For one thing the lead singer's voice is so much better than Gerard's. He's much more attractive and all of them are single and young. I know so many MCR fans that have left MCR for ATL. Now we play the waiting game.
Lynz seems to have that same arrogance that Gerard has. I remember that first kerrang interview she did where the caption was 'get over it' as though we had something to get over by her marrying Gerard. She constantly takes digs at the fangirls, and yet they are the ones funding her monkey rentals and handbags. Everything about her repulses me. Gerard seems to go for the same type of girls, maybe because thats all he can get. As for that World is Ugly crap, why didn't he just keep that private for his skanky wife - but wait, he can't, he has to show the world just how amazing she is and how much he loves her.

I read that concert review where the writer questioned whether or not Lindsey's bass was "plugged into anything", and I think that was just his way of saying that there were times when it was obvious that she wasn't playing. It's a lot easier to say "unplugged" then saying her wireless unit was turned off or whatever.
All I can do is commend her for finding one of the easiest jobs on the planet.

Look up some of the bass tabs and you'll see for yourself just how much skill it takes to be the bass player in that band. I find it very strange that she always seems to draw self-portraits. In one she's a little girl who appears to be naked from the waist down, sitting on a man in a banana costume (phallic symbol?) who looks to be very much in control of her. In another, she's obviously very drunk and unattractive looking, sitting at a bar asking the person next to her if they want to "make-out".
And then there's the fact that she dresses in school girl outfits, wears pigtails and skips around onstage. Seriously, when was the last time you skipped? I think I was about nine.

But you're forgetting that being in a band is therapy according to Gerard. It's a cure-all. It cured him of depression, being suicidal and a whole lot of other shit like alcoholism. This is why members of rock bands are all such stable people.

I never heard that 'The world is ugly' song. Seems as if I didn't miss something anyway, but is this song supposed to give a taste of what's to expect from the new album or is it just some kind of gap filler like DR until there's new material?
I remember when I got really annoyed by NoDoubt back then when all of their lyrics were only about Gwen's relationship issues with Gavin Rossdale. I mean, okay, their biggest hit 'Don't speak' was about her relationship issues with the band's bassist (don't remember his name anymore) but after a while you don't want to hear that whiny boo-hoo crap anymore.
I'm curious as to how Gerard's marriage to Lindsey will influence the song writing and what songs will come out of it in the end. I doubt that the fan girls would want to listen to the Gerard & Lindsey story on cd all day every day.
I remember when the band first played Disenchanted (or Shut Up and Play as it was called then), it was pretty much a piece of crap too. I think that once Gerard gets into the studio, the producer helps him hone his lyrics into something more palatable and less stupid.
But, since he's going for something "scaled back and rawer" this time and since MCR is the "best band in the world" right now, it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't wind up producing the record himself. And then, God help them because that CD will be a festering pile of crap.

Do I have to see a singer live in concert to be able to listen to their voice and tell if they are a good singer or not? I don't think so. As you might have read in the previous comments there are a lot of people here who've seen her play, whether it was on stage or in a video or even listened to her on a cd. And just like someone here said; you only have to look at the tab sheets to see what skills she has.

I also know that there are a lot of MSI fans - true fans who supported them before MCR, who are also pissed off at having MCR shoved in their faces and their fangirls turning up to their shows just so they can see Lynz because she is married to Gerard. Most of them had never heard of Lynz before she married Gerard, but now she is considered such an inspiriation. Because bending over backwards and flashing your panties is so hxc.

You think Lindsey has shown you what you are going to do with the rest of your life but the reality of it is most likely you won't. You are so caught up in hero worship that you can't see straight. Once you are older you are going to look back on this and think what the hell. Once you hear more music you will find really amazing women out there who can do amazing things on the instruments they play. Not just back bend, show off their underwear and act hxc.
MSI is about having fun. They are about breaking rules and doing what you want to do because you get tired of people telling you you have to look a certain way or act a certain way or you cant say certain words.

I was at the bookstore yesterday and picked up a copy of Rolling Stone. They reviewed DR and gave it 2 and 1/2 stars (out of a possible 5). They said that MCR put their own spin on the song, but unfortunately didn't add anything special to it. I can't remember the exact words, but the idea I got was that they thought it sounded like generic pop punk and that Dylan's song deserved better.

I didn't care for the FLW video. In fact, I didn't like any of the vids MCR did from TBP. I didn't like the blond hair and I thought Gerard looked awful in that uniform. I didn't understand why Mikey was wearing the Drum Major's uniform (with the tails) when Gerard needed it to cover up the chub. But, I was a fan during the Bullets and Revenge eras. Not that I didn't think chubby Gerard looked okay circa the INO video, it's just that the short hair and uniform just accentuated it.
The matching uniforms seemed rather stupid to me. There were a lot of long time fans who didn't care for that at all.
This is probably random as well, but I don't understand why MCR has to always be sounding like some other band. Ever since TBP, it's like they don't have their own style anymore. I think I already posted my first impression of Gerard on this blog. At a first glance, I didn't think that he was gay. Only after I got more into them, read more articles and watched more interviews, I had the feeling that he was hiding deeply in the closet.
It was his body language. The way he talks with his (jazz) hands all the time and the way he dances on stage. Very feminine.
He reminds me of some school mate who was gay too but didn't tell anyone. Of course, we all knew it anyway. He had the same body language.

I was really looking forward to the release of TBP because the first two albums were brilliant but I was sort of disappointed. I like the album it's okay but it's not exactly Revenge. I thought Bullets was a bit all over the place but they found themselves with Revenge so TBP was a bit of a let down because it was so different. I didn't really think Gerard was too nice with long hair, he looked nicer with it shorter but now I think he looks horrible again. When I first read things that he'd said and saw interviews with him I thought he sounded like such an interesting person but now.. well, he's a bit of a nobhead now.

Gerard has a knack for taking bits and pieces of things he's read or heard before and combining them into something that people think is new or original.
Like with TUA. It's very similar to Grant Morrison's work, but it has edgier elements to it, like more controversial works such as Preacher. He's already shown us that he's not above outright stealing ideas (the Abraham Lincoln monument South Park episode) and in the latest issue of Dallas, there's a part that's eerily reminiscent of something that happens in Preacher.
Same with his music. I'm always picking out riffs that seem familiar; some I can place and some I can't.
I suppose what he does takes talent, but it seems more akin to hero worship (copying his idols) to me.

Not all that great. They were at 32 for Rock Mainstream Tracks and 69 for Canadian Digital singles (on Billboard). I couldn't find it anywhere else like the Hot 100 or Digital Songs, etc. As for Mikey's no.1 video on iTunes pronouncement, I think maybe that was for one day.
Looks like Mom and Dad are being stingy with the credit card in these tough economic times. Either that or the people who actually paid for the music just aren't that into MCR anymore.

DR isn't even in the top 100 singles on intunes US, and their video is now at number 9 under Miley Cyrus. I really think they should have released the single closer to the film coming out, that would have generated much more buzz. Unfortunatly they're at 38 in singles on itunes UK. It really is harder nowadays to work out how well a single or album is doing, but I don't think it did very well in the US. I can see them touring more in the UK and Europe in the future where they still have more of a fanbase.
If Gerard acted at all the Projekt Revolution shows the way he did at the one I went to, I think MCR lost a lot of fans because of it. Compared to the bands both before and after, his vocals were terrible and he acted like such an arrogant prick. Since that tour went all over the US, I'd say he alienated a lot of MCR's US fans.
I don't care whether or not he got married. What I care about is that he put his relationship and his massive ego above everything else during that tour when he should have been concentrating on the show. I paid a lot of money for my PR tickets and I had to travel a couple of hundred miles to get there. It would have been nice if I could have seen the Gerard I remembered from past shows instead of that arrogant, swaggering, "Look at me, I'm getting laid" dickhead who pranced around the stage like he thought he was the second coming of Christ.
As far as I'm concerned, there isn't anything he could do to redeem himself now.

I can see them doing that too because that's what they did when TBP came out. Most US fans had to wait months to see the Black Parade tour and a lot of them (including myself) were not really happy about that.

I just went to the German MSI messageboard and there is some guy who did an interview with Jimmy, or at least tried to because piss pot acted quite silly according to that guy, and he mentions that pi-po said that the baby wasn't planned.

Exactly. It wasn't that Gerard began a relationship during Pro Rev, it was that he and Lindsey both chose to flaunt it in everyone's face. His behavior had unprofessional written all over it (in Sharpie). It's one thing to talk about your wife/girlfriend or whatever in the press, but another to turn an entire tour a billboard for your so-called private life.
That wouldn't be accepted in any other profession, so why does he think it was perfectly okay for him to do it?

And yet should you say anything against her, it is simply because you're jealous of her. And why would we be jealous of her - because of course she married Gerard. It all comes back to that, because everything she has, everything she is, is because of her marriage to Gerard. The adoration of all the teenie fangirls telling her how inspiring she is, the solo interviews with kerrang, the attention, everything is from her marriage to Gerard. And then she has the nerve to turn around and say that she shouldn't be known as Mrs Gerard Way and that we should get over it. Because we all really wanted to marry him...not. I despise this woman, I hate how she makes out she's such an inspiration to girls and yet everything she has came from marrying Gerard. Her biggest accomplishment is being able to bend backwards and flash her panties while pretending to play bass.

This really gets under my skin. Does she really think that every girl out there aspires to be in a rock band? And a shitty one at that?
Does she think that what she does is more important than say a hospice nurse who takes care of terminally ill patients or an English teacher who inspires students to write? Or how about doctors and paramedics who really do save people's lives?
I personally have no desire to pick up a bass guitar and play it. That doesn't mean that I don't have lofty ambitions and that I won't succeed and be happy in my chosen profession.
Oh, and by the way, I dislike Lindsey immensely, but I also don't like "crisps".

Jimmy is really a big asswipe for saying that. IMO, even if the baby wasn't planned, he has no right to talk about it. Its not like he fathered the child.

Of course Jimmy is going to talk about the baby, it's free publicity for his band. The baby means that MCR and MSI will be associated with one another forever, and he can milk that for all its worth.

Anon, I don't know if that 'interview' will even be posted. One guy just asked that person on the messageboard if he got 'his' interview and that person just responded Not like the way I hoped for!.
As I mentioned before, the person said that Jimmy was being silly the whole time and Steve must have vanished into the tour bus quite fast.
But they talked about the babies. Steve's was planned and Lindsey's not.
One also mentioned that Kitty gained a lot of weight.

My friends 16 yr old sisters entire career goal now is to be a merch girl. Because after all, that is how Alicia started out and look at her now! Married to a "really hot" guy in a famous band and spending her days dressing up her cats and posing for 3rd rate photoshoots.
Of course she does have a back up plan if merch girl doesn't work out. She spent her Christmas money on a bass which she has not tried to learn to play and just takes pictures of herself holding it and bending over backwards.

I think the saddest part is that all those girls are trying to do those things (learning to play the bass, being a guitar tech, merch girl etc.) only to get with a man who is famous and has money and can make them their trophy wife. And after the marriage they put down the bass, or whatever they were doing before they got married to that rawksta, and just stay at home.
That's all they want to achieve in life. Being the adjunct of a guy. They don't want to become famous because of hard work but only by fucking and blowing some famous dude.
And I get the feeling that Lindsey's fall-back plan was trying to find a stupid airhead in a successful rock band who would marry and impregnate her so that she can leave that shitty band of hers that will always be the opening act but never the headliner of a successful tour.
Now she's set for life and doesn't have to worry about anything anymore.

I hope that child NEVER reads either of those interviews. Fancy growing up with awful people like and finding out you were never really wanted in the first place. It will make that child feel like crap. Didn't Gerard or Jimmy even think about that being a possibility? They were probably too selfish and stupid to realise that.
I don't think Gerard or Jimmy see this baby as a person. Gerard is probably still too in shock and Jimmy probably views it as an inconvenience because now all the fangirls won't be rushing to MSI's shows to see Lindsey.
